Good brunch and sports bar spot

By JennyTDJ |

We were immediately greeted and very quickly had drinks and food. Some of our party ordered breakfast and were not disappointed. I had the Buffalo chicken wrap and was absolutely delighted by the flavor. Lots of choices on tap, super clean facilities, and friendly service. Definitely a great place to grab a bite if you are hanging out or staying near Horton Plaza.

A NYJets bar in San Diego?? Decent place to catch a game.

By Pete M |

We were here on a Sunday evening to catch some playoff baseball, as it was walkable and seemed like an okay choice. There are TVs all around showing multiple games, so this would be a great place to watch football. Beer selections are excellent, wine -- not so much: one cabernet and one chardonnay, both Rodney Strong. Food was okay. I had a chicken caesar salad and my wife had a chicken quesadilla. Chicken had a pre-processed texture, but tasted fine. Order of fries was nothing special -- thin and McDonald's-like and fairly heavily salted. Waitstaff was fun and relatively attentive, tending toward the petite and bubbly female, which I guess isn't unexpected in a sports bar. Oh yeah, and they like the Jets here, which is kind of strange, but we won't hold that against them. :)

Great atmosphere and friendly staff

By Stevie Hiller |

We had drinks and bar food here whilst on a stay in San Diego. Whilst walking around looking for a nice place this seemed to be the only one that was busy which to us means it would be good. The bar staff were really friendly, and the bar was fully stocked with plenty of choice. They also have drinks offers on certain times and dates which is always good ! They had good music on and were also showing the ice hockey play offs which were on at the time. We had some bar food which was really good as well. If you're looking for a nice place to have a few drinks, food , music and good chat this is your place.

Happy Hour Spot

By BigLouie-USMC |

I spent a week in downtown San Diego for a business trip and I was told this place had a good happy hour menu. It was no lie. Their menu is amazing and priced very well. I pretty much ate good and got a good buzz for less than $25 each night.

Hidden gem

By Johnny-O_1964 |

So I searched for the best happy hour on a Saturday and this came up. It was fantastic, all drinks were half off with appy’s starting at $3. The service was so good that at times we had more than one person checking on us. Ever selection was great and we got lucky and had seating right outside on the sidewalk to catch all of the local scenery as it strolled or drove by.

Awesome HH

By NJsunseeker |

Great spot in the midst of the Gaslamp district. Happy hour is 3-8p, which includes half off all drinks and discounted apps. We had wings and cheese steak sandwich- both were delicious and flavorful! Good traditional American bar food!

Lovely find!! Great happy hour offers!

By R951TPrebeccad |

With all of the eateries available in this Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego choosing where to eat isn’t easy. We were lured in here on the happy hour deal - half price drinks & discounted appetisers! It was delightful and really reasonably priced. The service was also great and the portion sizes were large. My G&T was very strong but I’m not complaining about that! Really friendly environment - would recommend.

Local joint with pub fare

By VivaciousVal |

Fun spot with an “all-drink” happy hour. If you are seeking American pub fare, this will fit the bill. Philly cheesesteak quesadilla, tator tots with bacon and cheese, wings (ps the spicy have a kick) and burgers. All tasty. Service is fast and attentive.

Happy hour

By Dansker58 |

We were walking by and noticed the happy hour sign. This included a great list of beers. We were lucky since it was also taco Tuesday! Tacos wer $2 and $3! Appetizers were also discounted. Food was good, service was very friendly. Seating at the bar or high tables with barstools. Especially liked the vegetarian quesadilla for $7.

W beer

By Alan C |

A beer brewed in a barrel like a whiskey. Something cool to try and it tasted good. Goo tunes, great screens for catching a game. Good pub whether alone watching a game or hanging with friends.

Cool spot

By Dianah R |

Cool little spot in the Gaslamp. Nice to get away from some of the crazier weekend crowds of the young and the drunk. They have a good happy hour, good bartenders, and really good cocktails. We didn't get to try any of the food, but it all looked really good coming out. If I lived in San Diego, it's definitely a place I'd frequent.

Great Beer Selection Poor Quality Food

By cc12807 |

The beer selection is amazing and all at 1/2 price during Happy Hour. Appetizers are $3, $4, and $5. I had truffled fries $5.(mediocre) and carnitas taco (mediocre). There is a $12 steak dinner on Mondays, Taco Tuesdays for $2 tacos and Wing Wednesday 10wings/$6. Environment is loud which is not bad, but be aware that it is loud. Location on 4th between F and G streets. Good service at the bar and at the tables. Has outdoor and indoor seating.

Awesome “Trashy” Food

By bren8790 |

The food here is amazing considering it’s much more of a bar than a restaurant. We ate at one of the few outdoor tables on a Thursday night. When we arrived, it was the busiest place on the block which seemed to be a good sign. They had great happy hour food and drink deals, and our waitress was very friendly. We ordered a ton of “trashy” food after a long day of travel, but the food wasn’t nearly as greasy as you’d think (a very pleasant surprise!) and the portions were enormous, especially for the price. We especially loved the truffle tots!

Treated us like family

By Jeff K |

Stopped by for UFC 205 got an outside table and owner and staff made us feel like family. Great beer selection, food was great. Looking forward to going back for lunch before we leave to head home. Virginia our waitress was great. All round good night

such good food and strong drinks!! super fun atmosphere!

By Roxy |

This place is both comfortable and fun! The food is everything, delicious juicy burgers and healthy, filling wraps! The truffle tater tots and TNT strips are so freaking good, definite must orders! I can't get enough. The drinks are served quickly and made right! Plus there is always some sort of amazing special! The staff is very accommodating and always serving with a smile. You can spend all day here or run in for a quick drink, they'll take care of you!!

No Host Social

By ddavis4040 |

Came here with about 40 others for a no host social. While we sort of overwhelmed the early evening staff they worked their butts off to meet or needs. We enjoyed our evening so much that we returned the next night. The wings are good and the Happy Hour specials cannot be beat anywhere in the Gaslamp. I have found a new favorite when I visit San Diego!

Great atmosphere

By Hans T |

Went here for breakfast after our 5k run on Saturday. Great Bloody Mary, they also have a $15.00 bottle of champagne for mimosas. Our group had a sampling of many things, omelets, breakfast burritos, cinnamon French toast and even a club sandwich. Portions were good sized, might even be splitable if your not starving.

Best burgers and beer!

By valeriegrimm |

Erica is the best- sweet and great guidance with all the different kind of beer they got And very good prices!

Quick drink before dinner

By Doolie77 |

Looking for a Happy Hour Café for a quick drink before dinner and came across this restaurant in the Gaslamp Quarter .Very busy and good ambience .Served very promptly and we only had the cocktails which were delicious, did not try any food.

Great place to watch sports

By John N Deb P |

This is a small place and is great to catch a game. They actually turn up the sound of the games so that you can enjoy the commentary. We had bar food which was good and delivered quickly.

Hip place to start (or end) a night out in San Diego’s popular Gaslamp District

By CJBGLO |

I wandered into this gem on a business trip based on the name. It was a Happy Hour, offering a wide selection of very low-priced dishes. Settled in at the bar and enjoyed friendly conversation with the bartender. Beer selection is solid without being overwhelming and represents the local flavors. Food options are comfortable standards (i just ordered quesadillas as soon as I heard the option and they were great). Enjoy!

Gaslamp Sports Bar

By vagabondginger |

I stopped in and as usual like to belly up to the bar. It was Sunday Football so ordered beers and chicken strips & fries with a dipping sauce. Nothing great about that and even though beers were 1/2 price still expensive, but then, it's the Gaslamp. It was ok for cheering with the guys around me for various teams. This bar though loves the Jets. The bartender was on top of it so overall it was a fun time to see some football.

Great Priced drinks during happy hour

By Ryan D |

This is one of the hidden gems in the downtown san diego gaslamp that needs to be checked out if in the area. Make sure to try the TNT Strips they are to die for great flavor. Drinks made strong and service is top notch.

HIP FUN place in Gaslamp District

By FairSView |

Awesome place to gather with friends to start or end the eve. Has an amazing LONG happy hour ... 3-8; if that doesn't keep you happy not sure what ill. Added bonus the place is run by family members who are absolute GEM Definitely going back next time in the area

Great downtown place to chill, eat and drink in downtown San Diego.

By brawlingsaz |

In two words - "Loved it". Great food, drinks and Happy Hour till 8pm. A bunch of very interesting drinks and lots more in the food department will have us back for many more visits.

Super Cheap Happy Hour

By cburnsesq |

Not the best ambiance if you want something classy, but Kelsey our serve was Uber sweet and who can complain about cheddar bacon tater tots for $3?? All drinks are 50% for happy hour and there's a large selection of food items under $5. Average age is probably 28-38. Overall a good choice for happy hour.

best burger & wings! good priced drinks

By Houmi |

i really scored with this place while walking around in the gaslamp district. I was allured in by their promo of half off ALL DRINKS from 3-8pm! and its not a joke, it really EVERY SINGLE DRINK. they even had at least 10 appetizers that were half off... i went with my servers recommendation of the TNT strips, which were some of the most flavorful strips ive ever had.. the truffle tots were also perfectly crispy and mouth watering. the staff is really friendly and helpful.. they gave me a bunch of recommendations on what to do while visiting san diego. i highly recommend this place!

Good beer, good food, good fun!

By Mike C |

Great place to start for a night out on the town. Friendly staff, choice of drinks, and good food to prepare yourself for the night out ahead!

Taco Tuesday a hit

By Capayrancher |

My wife and I noticed that taco Tuesday sign out front while driving by on 4th ave. It was Tuesday so we decided to walk up there and try it out. Select beer was half off and tacos were $2 with a steak taco being $3. We ordered steak, fish and carnitas taco. I requested flour tortillas but only come in corn. Tacos arrived in reasonable time, although seemed should have been quickly as place was not busy yet. Tacos were very good and corn tortillas were very tasty and soft wrap style. Riley, our server, was very accommodating as were the other employees. It was obvious this place is well run by the length of time employees had worked there and their enjoying their job. When the bill came it was reasonable and a good time to leave as it was starting to get busy. Order the carnitas tacos as they were the best.

An Excellent Breakfast in the Gaslamp!

By Michael P |

Our dining experiences had been hit and miss in San Diego, with tasteless seafood and bland Mexican fare lacking in spice. So it was with great pleasure that we found an excellent place for breakfast. The eggs were fresh and very well prepared. The potatoes were greaseless and roasted to perfection. The service was impeccable. We left very satisfied and ready to experience another happy day in San Diego.

Great place for happy hour

By IrishBrewer |

We stopped here looking for a fun happy hour and it delivered. Happy hour prices were great. They have an awesome beer selection. We ordered several appetizers, which were all good. If you can, sit outside. The people on the street is entertainment enough. :)

Amazingly Good

By Kenneth H |

This is my 2nd time here within a week. This place is awesome! The bar food was great and the service was exceptional once again. Last time the bartender was Priscilla and this time we had Roxy who also made great drinks. Dont walk, RUN to Taste and Thirst for their happy hour. Best in the Gaslamp.

Great bar/staff/food !!!

By Mike C |

A really good bar to grab a few drinks, a decent choice of food, and great service. Visited couple times and always the same nice experience!

Great cocktails and super friendly staff.

By SimoneSheldon |

From the moment we arrived, Jonny, the super friendly Security / Greeter / Front of House Guy made us feel welcome. Great cocktails, and yummy food. Check out their web site for happy hours and promotions. It was half price cocktails the night we were there. Jonny was great fun, and our waitress Christa was also extremely good and efficient. It's a family owned business, and they've got everything just right. Highly recommended.

Good brunch

By CPhillips |

If this rating was on service alone I’d rate it an excellent - our server was very friendly and efficient. The food we had was good and we left satisfied - no more or less.

Taco Tuesday was just OK

By sagui87 |

Everybody was friendly and the food was good, but the tacos were absolutely tiny. We have been to a few Taco Tuesdays, and were more impressed at the other locations. I think $2 was excessive for the size of those little guys. I hear they have a great happy hour, and can't wait to check them out again.

Dinner & Drinks

Fish tacos were good. The cocktails were very good. The bartender... this energetic, fun, friendly woman... Made the experience extremely enjoyable. Recommended.

Fab happy hour

By wade376 |

Great friendly place to sit and people watch while you enjoy happy hour from 3 to 8 pm! Half off drinks and cheap yet delicious appetizers! Locals come here so you know it is good! Highly recommend chips and salsa as they are freshly made and some of best I have had! Also, bacon wrapped jalapenos are amazing!

Great experience

By Blair C |

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed this place. Our server was incredibly friendly and helpful. Their HH specials were great. We had a couple of beers and the truffle tater tots (amazing). The only downfall is the shady "hotels" next door and across the street.

Customer service

By Brian S |

Never dissappointed when I enter this establishment.. From the food and friendly atmosphere, to the customer service I receive. Two thumbs up!
