Lovely noodles. Sat in the street and not the best of outlooks. Seemed relatively clean. Food was really tasty. Accepted cash only.

Our food was so good! Definitely a āChinaā vibe inside with it being very compact and the kitchen being directly behind the checkout counter. Employees were friendly and attentive! I got Asian chicken with rice and my husband got the beef noodle entree. You must try the noodles! Our meal came with tea that I was not really a fan of. They also offered pop and bottled water.

4 of us ate here, we ordered tons of our favorites, we had a ton of food and beers too and it was only 78 bucks. The noodles were the bomb, lovers the dumplings too! Very good place, very small hole in the wall but so worth it!

First time for us at this narrow closed, pedestrian, street mall on Doyer Street. We made it in by 11:30 am right before the mad lunch time crowd. We ordered pulled noodle soup with dumplings and a chicken pan fried noodles. Both dishes were freshly prepared as we can see the master noodle maker shape and formed our lunch in minutes. It is an art form to see how they stretch the dough into noodles and prepare them into a fresh bowl of soup or stir fried in a wok. So flavorful, tasty and filling it hit the spot. Overall, itās a hole in the wall, crowded, tight tables, plenty of condiments on the table with fresh cut cilantro on the table, but Guy Fieri from Diners, Drive-inās and Dives fame, did go there and did a segment there. His pix is up on the wall. Even though the city gave them a āBā rating, they still pack them in by the time we left. Weāll be back to try other dishes!!! Enjoy!!!š„¢š„¢š„¢š„£š„£š„£

I looked on trip advisor to see what guest were saying about good food in chinatown nyc, we came across this little shop and order 3 things. The nice lady asked āyou from out of town, welcome I take care of youā. I thought GREAT, i couldnāt wait to have dinner. Well got back to my rental and opened the bag. I was completely missing 1 item from my order, it just so happened to be the dish that was the most expensive. Well I guess she really took care of me by stealing my money. If your smart you will eat someplace else, if not make sure you donāt fall for the BS welcome party.

We stumbled upon this little gem after walking across the Brooklyn Bridge, what a find! Between us, we had fried duck noodles, chicken noodles, shrimp noodles and pork noodles, would recommend all!

Dropped in for early dinner. Friendly and efficient, delicious duck noodle soup, soup dumplings, and the lightest fluffiest scallion pancake weāve ever had. Not a fancy place but exactly what the menu promises for a great price.

Great food and would definitely recommend the roast duck noodles. Very classic and authentic feel to the place. Great customer service. Would come again.

Food was fantastic. Not much for seating, but delicious food. We bought 5 different meals and each one was great.

we only tried the dumplings- shrimp were bad, chicken good. noodle plates looked good. dont get the shrimp dumplings.

We were too full to try anything else, but the chicken and shrimp noodles were so good! Especially after adding some their spicy condiments to the dish, it was really YUMMY! Looking forward to going back, the dumplings others had ordered looked great!

Went here after finding this gem on Pinterest, so glad we did never have we had chicken and veggie dumplings this good, makes my mouth water just thinking about them! Not much from the outside or fancy inside but the surprise is the food, itās so delicious! Would love to be sitting there again enjoying a noodle dish š§”

The food is delicious the meal is taken in the street where you share the table with other people the experience is to be lived Even if the staff is not friendly or cheerful

At first glance, this very basic, bare bones noodle shop doesn't seem like much, but don't be deceived. The food is EXCELLENT and very well priced.Portions are generous and service is prompt.

We heard about this place on TripAdvisor and it sounded right up our street! Chinatown at it's best. We sat outside. Dumplings to start were brought quickly and were delicious. We had three noodle main courses and one person had soup. Everything was delicious and the portions are big too. It's so reasonable too. I highly recommend. Thanks for a delicious meal.

Donāt let the location drive you away. Yes, my group literally ate in what felt like an alley. And yes, I did think twice about drinking the water that was already sitting on the table (for the record, all was good after I drank it!). But it was a delightful and authentic experience. I had the pan fried noodles with chicken and it was great. Definitely homeade noodles, tender chicken, and just the right amount of flavor. I almost missed the spicy sauce on the tableā¦.it looked homeade but Im not sure. It brought the whole dish up an entire level!

Our cabbie steered us here when the other place we tried to go to was closed. This is a hidden spot that is super simple and yet makes delicious noodle dishes. I'd pass on the fried dumplings, but get the steamed dumplings. And of course, you have to get a noodle dish, they are absolutely delicious.

Some people may not like the old school wibe but it is suoer authentic. This restaurant is completely clean and safe and the food is amazing! We had the best Chinese food in whole NY and for very cheap prices (food for 7 dollars?!?) And the portion was so big none of us could finish it. Would recommend 10/10

Our family was looking for a place for lunch in Chinatown and we ended up at Tasty Hand Pulled Noodles. Although there was a wait at other places we were seated immediately. The food was great and came with very large portions. We loved everything about the experience except when the check arrived we were told they only accept cash. Apparently this is pretty common in Chinatown but caught us off guard since so many businesses are moving away from cash. They do have an ATM on site that charges a hefty fee and there is a Chase bank around the corner. We would definitely eat here again but would make sure to bring plenty of cash.

Really too greasy the location and the food not as good as stated in the reviews, my rolls a little burnt out and soggy inside with little vegetables and tasteless dumplings The water in the carafe was undrinkable and sparkling water required arrived in cans with black "particles" that we had to wash ...with water from the carafe Dishes a bit '"thrown" on the table in the street as well as the bill (for nyc not high but....) before we even finished... not scolded a word or' half smiled by those who served

A friend and I came for lunch. I had the pan fried noodles with chicken, with the small wide noodles. Our food came quickly and was very tasty. The portion was huge - for lunch we honestly could have split one entree between us. The space inside is very limited and crowded, but there's lots more space to eat outside if the weather is nice. Cash only for payment!

Dishes are very tasty and very large and prices are low. A little hidden, but a nice place. They accept only cash.

Walk into this small restaurant and you know this is the real deal. The are working the noodle dough through a doorway behind the cash register. Small warm dining room. They gave us water and a table while we waited to carry-out. Massive servings, very good food.

Great, but the rations are huge, you have to order carefully!! We found it by chance and we still don't think so.

Delicious, but not very customer-oriented. The fact that they only accept cash payments here is strange. You also have to really like the street atmosphere, because on hot days there are some unpleasant smells from the street.

We stopped as part of a self-directed foodie tour. We were in and out within 30 mins. Service was friendly, direct and efficient. We had the dry noodles with beef and the fried pork dumplings (pot stickers). YUM! The place isnāt much to look at and is a bit cramped, but the food is great - donāt miss.

We went at Chinatown and decided to come here and eat noodles, we ordered spring rolls which were iced, they didnāt even warm them enough and the two of three plates of noodles were over cooked, so much so we ask to replace the one. They didnāt charge us for the one plate! However it is foul of customers that means that it is good overall..

Located on the quaint and colorful Doyers Street of Chinatown. Delicious pan-fried dumplings, ramen noodle soups, and hand-pulling noodle dishes made on premises. Limited seating, but no crowds about 2pm on a Friday afternoon. About $10/dish. CASH only with an ATM located outside that charges $3 fee. One of the best Chinese noodle experiences in all of our travels!

This Chinatown eatery has superb hand pulled noodles made fresh. This tiny location squeezes in 22 people. If you can see into the kitchen you will see one of the ladies hand pulling the noodles, probably even your order. They offer 6 option regarding noodles (4 their regular noodles in various guises of regular, thick, wide and knife-peeled as well as 2 rice noodle choices). We went with the noodle soups, a dumpling one and a house special one. The protein part was decent but the star of the dish are the noodles; they have a nice heft, a perfect chew to them and the experience may vary depending on the thickness/width you choose. I would say anything beyond the regular noodle will give you best experience. There are dry noodle options as well but we didn't have any more room to order another dish. The service is succinct and this is fine. At the tables are a tub of chopped cilantro and you can ask for a pitcher of water to go with the pot of tea they give you. Now I'm not supposed to consume much carbs but those noodles have got to be eaten. Oh yeah, bring cash since they don't take CC.

This restaurant is our favorite every time we go to NY. The last time we were in NY for a family trip we literally ate there everyday! Can't go wrong with their fried noodles!

me and my wife agreed that we ate here our best meal in our 5 day trip to new york, only one thing made the meal not perfect... the bowl was to big! i use to finish my plate, it was hard!

The restaurant is a bit off the beaten path and seemed a little shady at first, but it was great. It's probably small inside, but it was great to be able to see them make the noodles. The service was fast and the staff is friendly. I got the pan fried chicken noodles. The noodles are absolutely great. Hand made noodles are the real deal. I really enjoyed myself there.

We came here on our first night in New York as it was very close to our hotel. Food is delicious, very authentic and fresh (made quickly). Portions are huge, there was 3 of us and we could have got away with just 2 dishes between us. Highly recommended.

Great food for an affordable price. Really delicious and authentic Chinese food with a variety of noodle options. Well worth visiting if youāre in NYC and in the mood for Chinese food. Portion sizes are massive!

Noodle soup and dumpling just delicious!! Just what we needed after a few days of sweet fat. Plus at a decent Award which is not negligible here...

After trying to go to other place that was closed this was next in the list. And things happen for a reason !! We had the best noodle soup ever! Hand pulled noodles are great!

Oily noodles. They have the choice of different noodles but honest it was not good. The pork was not good and the food was super oily. I really question the integrity of reviewers. Inside was very dirty, you could see the flooor and table dirty. There were a couple of tourists who probably relied on the good reviews but this is not great food or even typical Chinese food one expect to try in Chinatown. There are tons of options. Donāt go,

Ordered the friend chicken hand pulled noodles and it was quite good. Not too expensive. Ordered delivery and the food arrived well. Recommended.

We got the fat fried chicken noodles and they were amazing. The noodles are made in house. Came here from a recommendation we saw online and it did not disappoint. I wish I had time to have it again before we left! Get price especially for NYC. Since we were eating our way through the city we decided to share and it was more than enough. They don't take card so make sure to have cash! The service was pretty non existent and the lady running the place runs a tight ship but it didn't phase us one bit. I was impressed by her efficiency. They were busy, also handling Togo orders and we were hungry, all of our needs were met. Just don't expect to have 10 minute conversations with your server. :) The ambiance is typically of a little hole in the wall with outside seating also. The food is the star here!!

We sat outside as a large group. Was very helpful with their minimal outdoor seating. Food was good, especially considering I haven't ever liked this type of food prior. Everyone left full and happy.

I travel the world and love local diners, greasy spoons, and "hole in the wall" experiences everywhere. Good food and a simple smile overcomes a lot, but not if the service borders on rude and the dilapidated premises gives off a "who gives a d***" air. Fresh hand-cut noodles? Check. Hot and fresh soupy dumplings? Check. Worth the lousy atmosphere and brutal service? Nope. Too many good food experiences to be had elsewhere, time move along.

This place is literally a hole in the wall. Small maybe 10tables upstairs plus basement (didn't) go down. Seating is fast even if it means moving other guest around to accommodate ur party. The noodles r hand made in the kitchen and food comes out fairly fast however our entree came out before the appetizer. Tasty šall about the noodle - protein is scarce in dishes we had the duck & rice reg noodles, the beef and wide noodles both dishes had very little duck or beef. The pan fried dumplings were the best! Order that make sure u tell them to bring that first. Would I go there again ... maybe not, but it was a tasty treat.

The veggie dumplings are nothing special but the fried noodles (we ordered the fat ones) with chopped pork are absolutely tasty! Great quantity: We shared one serving and were full.

Such a little gem in China Town. We went on a Saturday night and did not have to wait. This is a cash only restaurant. This place is not fancy at all. It is very tiny with mostly outdoor seating. But it was some of the best food I have ever had. I would return here again and again.

Heading to the Chinatown district, we came across this restaurant and its unusual terrace right in the street! Noodles, rice, gyoza everything was good! Excellent value for money and generous quantities! I recommend

I ordered the duck noodle soup for takeout. The place is a hole in the wall and not in a good way. I wouldn't eat in or outside. The soup was ok but the noodles are packed in a separate container and they turn into a big sticky block by the time you're ready to eat. And the duck part of the soup was a few hacked up pieces of carcass with barely any meat on them. I cannot figure out how this place is so highly rated. It's not warranted. Cash only.

I stopped by Tasty Hand Pulled Noodle on a whim, as I was in the area, and wanted something warm since Iād been sick with a cold for the past week. I was able to be seated immediately, ordered quickly, and my food was out before I could seemingly blink an eye. It was a huge portion (that I couldnāt finish!), and the soup was excellent. Just what my sore throat needed. I was able to sit, read, and enjoy my meal over the course of about 45 minutes. The wait staff was courteous, didnāt hurry me along, and answered all of my questions. I wish I had more reasons to be in this part of town, because it was so delicious!

Excellent pan friend noodles and noodle soups! Outdoor seating in a side street in Chinatown, and a few small outdoor āhutsā for 4.

Best Chinese food!! Anthony Bourdaine would love this place. Atmosphere is fine. Anyone who trashed this place is nuts. I had steamed pork dumplings and pulled shrimp noodles. Both 5 Star and huge portions. Merv - Vail, Colorado

We sat on the terrace (street) and hoped to eat some good food at this tourist "attraction" but we were disappointed with it. We ordered dumplings, spring rolls noodles with duck meat. I have to give a rating of 1 because of some bug we found on the plate. We have took several photos of food before we start to eat , but after couple of bites we notice bug and refuse to eat after that. The waitress apologized and said she would bring us a new meal, but we didn't want to, we were disgusted. The only thing I have to say about this place ... NEVER AGAIN. (photos before we noticed bug on a plates)

Do not miss this place. It is worth the walk/taxi/subway/etc... The restaurant is in Chinatown and it is a hole-in-the-wall. Almost literally. There are about 20 seats in the restaurant, and they will fit as many in as they can. Don't be surprise if you share a table with someone you do not know :) Get the hand-pulled noodles, watch them make the noodles by hand, and savor the delectable dish that they give you. And maybe order some to-go. There is no "table service" when it comes to them re-filling your water. And it is not a problem at all. They are friendly and quick to make your food. They also don't take credit card, so BRING CASH. Lastly, try the coconut milk drink (it is canned). Tasty!!!

Good noodles, but not the best i ate. Place is small, for group it is tight. Overall i liked it, but a bit overrated in my opinion.

Really its name talks by itself: tasty tasty. Service superkind, fast, good, place to be when looking for Street food in chinatown! External image is not one strength but forget about astethics and enjoy a Good meal with friends.

This was a really good find. We had the fried dumplings and the seafood noodles. Both highly recommended. We were there for lunch and the portions are more than sufficient. The prices are very reasonable. If you're going to eat here, you really should order a dish with the noodles - they are truly a specialty. Don't forget, as is typical in Chinatown, this is cash only.

heard all about hand pulled noodles and didn't know what they tasted like. OMG!!! I did compare these to other places and this one is the best in NYC!!! I had veggie hand pulled noodles and it was awesome! Servings are generous, plenty of water or tea served, great service, a bit cramped but so many restaurants are in this area of NYC. Dumplings were awesome as were the other noodles in broth. Came back to this place 4 times while we were on vacation here!

Very good hand pulled noodles and dumplings. Only complaint is the stuff in the bowl like duck or oxtail etc were really tiny portions. But the broth and noodles are really good. Would get 5 stars if the fixens werenāt so spare.

Delicious food, quick service, the place is not that nice but the food is worth it! We ordered gyozas, noodles, spring rolls, all delicious! Highly recommended!

While visiting NYC, my friends and I decided to get some food in Chinatown. We stopped in Tasty Hand-Pulled noodles and it was hands down some of the best food I have ever eaten! It is a very small restaurant with limited seating in the first floor main area but there is additional seating in the basement. Though it may not look new and trendy from the outside, the food is unbelievable!! We had vegetable spring rolls, pan fried vegetable fat hp noodles and regular vegetable hp noodles in soup with vegetable broth. It was delicious!! Note: this is a CASH ONLY restaurant, however cheapest meal and best meal I had in NYC this visit!!!

We went to shoot a youtubevideo in Chinatown and we found this place. It's a renowned spot that is somewhat famous and located right in the heart of this NYC neighborhood: Doyers Street. The history of the street alone is pretty interesting. It had a booth outside which was nice as we were protected from the cold weather outside. The only downside that comes to mind is that they just had sold out of beer which made my German husband somewhat sad but he loved the food and wants to go back.

This is a funky little place! We all ordered our own massive bowls of noodle soup because there didnāt seem to be a way to really share. There was no room to sit upstairs so we were told to go down to the basement. It was really interesting to peek into the kitchen and see the noodles being made. The noodles themselves were delicious and I wanted to love the soup which looked really tasty but it lacked flavor. Very affordable but nothing Iād really recommend.

Stopped in after finding this restaurant on TripAdvisor and we were very happy we did. This is not a large or fancy place, but the dumplings are incredible and so is the chicken and fried noodles. If you are in Chinatown and want to try some great authentic food go to this place.

This place is very small, so get there a little before mealtime for a table. Service is fast and attentive. Noodles are indeed tasty and hand-pulled.

The beef hand pulled noodles were excellent. Their downtown location is worth taking the subway from midtown. Inexpensive dishes too. Classic china town feel. Will return.

Great food. The hand pulled noodles and dumplings were fantastic . My son said they had the best sesame chicken heās ever eaten Free water. Small place but there is dining outside and downstairs.

Wanting to have dinner in Chinatown, we turned down Doyer Street and what a find: delicious dumplings (fried, soup or steamed) & at least 6 different kinds of hand pulled noodles. Very efficient service & reasonable prices for NYC.

The fat hand-pulled noodles here are awesome, especially when put in a big hot bowl of beef broth with lots of veggies and meat. The guy who pulls them does them in the kitchen, right behind the tables, and it's always fun to watch him do it. The steamed pork dumplings are also really good.

Authentic Chinese eatery. Very extensive menu. Each item ordered was wonderful. Hand pulled fresh noodles (chicken, duck and shrimp) cooked to perfection. Soup dumplings were awesome. Cash only. Good service and reasonable prices.

Very good food at a very good price. Good size portions. The place may be at first glance unshowy but if you try, repeat.

Had the wonton and noodle and tendon and noodle. Found it ok. My son did not like the wonton and I think they used ears for tendon. Nothing exceptional

We were back in Manhattan in September 2019 and our second dinner was at Tasty Hand Pulled Noodles. We like the compact (do you say cozy?) restaurant with the no nonsense service. It is one of those typical Chinese places where you go for the food, not the ambiance. I don't remember what we ordered this time but, as usual, it was most definitely to our liking and this place will always be one of our go-to eating places when we visit NYC even considering that Flushing is a hop, skip and jump away via the subway with all of their Chinese eating establishments.

This place was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. We had a quick trip to NYC and planned out most of our meals. Glad that we came here. The place is off the main street and very small. You are likely going to share a table with a stranger - rubbing elbows and knees. They have seating in the basement as well. We both ordered #44 the roasted duck with hand pulled noodles. We got the regular noodles and the thick noodles. You can see and hear the chef pulling and swinging the dough around in their little kitchen. There was a constant line up. I would definitely return!

Spent the afternoon walking through China town and stopped by this place, found it on trip advisor, and thought weād give it a try. So glad we did, we were lucky and didnāt have to wait in line, but the line started right after we were seated. Itās a very small place, but the food came out fast and the water was very cold. They were literally the best noodle dishes we had ever had, and will be craving them when we go back home. If you like noodles, you need to give this place a try. Make sure you have cash..

This is a little 'hole in the wall' that we would not have stopped into if not for having the place recommended to us. So glad we did. The noodle soup was delicious. The place is small and not necessarily the 'nicest' but the soup was good and the dishes other patrons were having looked good too. Somewhat pricy for what we had.

Food was good and reasonable . This place is busy and quite small. We were seated downstairs and it felt very clostrophobic. I could not imagine how you would escape from there should there be a fire.

It looks a bit shabby from the outside and the tables plus cards are sticky but the food here is absolutely awesome and mega authentic. We stayed there 2 times during our stay and each time it was mega delicious and super fresh. The only thing a bit strange was that the service was quite researchy and the way I felt bad mooded. But that didnāt put a damper on the experience as the food is just mega fresh and well seasoned, and the prices are more than fair and even quite cheap by New York standards.

We came across this place walking around Chinatown. It was busy enough but not packed so we thought it was a good stop. We had the fried chicken dumplings, very tasty and the General Tsao's chicken with rice. It was all good, not too oily or salty. We sat outside. All the other dishes also looked great. Food takes some time to get ordered but once ordered it's quickly delivered. We would go back.

TINY storefront. 6 tables, some are 2 tops. Staff has NO management skills, taking names and party numbers but letting walk in traffic take tables which were promised. Extremely slow service. Took 45 minutes for 2 noodle dishes and one fried dish to come to the table. Rather bland soups. Disappointed in general. Only takes cash.

It was terrible. They first gave my family food and i waited a lot more. When i asked for my food (roasted duck noodles) i recevied hot noodles with cold chewy duck. The food of my family was meh. The noodels where litle bit tastles but had great texture. Won ton was without spices. Food wasnt that cheap as i expected. Portions were big

Small spot with only a handful of tables, some family style seating. Cool vibe and delicious food. I had the pulled noodles with chicken, my friend had the pulled noodles with duck. Both were delicious, however we were both fixated with our neighbors knife cut noodles with shredded bbq pork. I had to show much restraint not to ask for a bite!!

Amazing! We had a hard time finding it since it is tucked away, but it was worth the search. It is tiny. There are about 10 places to sit. We found it off of the recommendation of my dad who lived in china and found that this place was just as good as the food actually in china. We each got our own batch of hand pulled noodles. Big mistake. Each of us could hardly finish half of one. A great meal on a budget and quick friendly service. You can also watch them make the noodles by hand which is quite entertaining. If you go get the hand pulled noodles (obviously) and the coconut milk (it comes in a can and it is to die for).

In a very basic setting - which has its charm - i believe tou canāt take a wrong order. We had a beef noodle soup and a chicken w vegetables wok dish; both were outstanding. We tasted dim sum too: good. Everything around us looked good. Donāt come here for a romantic dinner/lunch; it is fast, but gives some Chinatown vibe. Recommended.

The food was really great. Good quality and nice service. Good portions and also price performance is top. Can only be recommended. š

These noodles are really great. You can taste the freshness of them. Had them with roasted pork which was also very tasty.

Small and simple restaurant with tasty food at a good price. You might want to go early to have a table

The fried noodles were good, but the soup dumplings were better at another place on the same street. The place is very small, maybe six tables, and it tends to get crowded, so plan your visit accordingly. I felt like the prices were high for what you got, especially since I've eaten the same exact noodles in China for a much fairer price.

The best knife peeled noodles we ever had. Staff at the counter was friendly and they really tried their best to get everyone chose to dine in a table to sit down and enjoy. Normally restaurant like this with a cheaper price rank and compact dining space, staffs would tend to rush customers and serve in a harsh attitudes but this is not the case at Tasty Hand Pulled Noodles. We are glad to follow Time Out latest guidance of the best chinese restaurant in Chinatown New York of year 2021. Not only in words Time Out editor is good at, what matters more is that the inspiring words the editor used to describe Tasty Hand Pulled Noodles were absolutely agreeable! We would love to try other places on Time Out top listing! We ordered ~ Roast duck knife peeled noodles ššš Shredded pork hand pulled noodles ššš Pork dumplings ššš

The best duck noodle soup I've ever had!!!! I eat nothing but noodles and hot soups and this place blew me away. Duck is one of favorite proteins and they did not disappoint. The noodles were so delicious! I wanted to go back for more and I will when I am back in NY. It was the perfect bowl for the cold night too!

Tasty Hand Pulled Noodles was so good - we went back two days later on our vacation!! This is a very unassuming place with simple plastic tables on the sidewalk. The quality and the price were sensational! We had the Pan-Fried Beef Noodle and the Pan-Fried House Special (with beef, chick & shrimp)- both with the Biggest widest noodles. You can tell the noodles are fresh & always al-dente - not soggy and the sauce/gravy was excellent - not too salty like some Chinese places. To get food of this quality for $15 per entree in an otherwise very over-priced city was a fantastic surprise and a temporary relief to my wallet!

We highly recommend the homemade hand pulled noodles at this simple restaurant. Find an outdoor table on the street and be prepared to share condiments with neighboring diners. I ate the entire generous portion of pan fried noodles with tofu and vegetables and shared tasty veg pan fried dumplings with my husband. He thoroughly enjoyed his duck soup and remarked at the amount of noodles he was served. A couple from Israel were ordering at the table next to us and they appreciated the waitress telling them they were ordering too much food unless they had guests joining them. Nothing fancy, just great Chinese food in Chinatown!

Love the noodles. Itās a bit chaotic but thatās because everyone is working so hard to bring you great food. The knife peeled noodles are amazing (pictured) and then any baby bok choy is, as everyone says, fantastic.

My wife and I agree that this was the best noodle dish we've ever had! Highly recommend for a cozy meal.

We had two bowls on the table in the road, together with other people in a very simple atmosphere; nothing similar in NYC during our holiday. The food is good, but maybe we expected more as taste was all similar. Anyway it is a good dinner in a different place.

Very tiny, very hot very fresh. Amazing little hole in the wall. So much food But donāt forget CASH only.

We love this place! We didnāt have any expectation other than the fact that we would get a nice bowl of hand pulled noodles. And, boy did they deliver! This place is not fancy but is clean and only has about seven tables. However, the service is very friendly and efficient. We had an order of the vegetable dumplings and an order of the chicken dumplings and they were amazing. My wife had vegetarian hand pulled noodle soup and I had the beef. Very clean and fresh and the noodles had an awesome consistency. I base my reviews on how well the restaurant delivers on what they are saying they will deliver and this place clearly stood up to the test. Donāt expect fancy and make sure you bring cash. They donāt take credit cards. Definitely worth the trip. We went twice :-)

We came across this tiny restaurant when walking around Chinatown. This is by far the best that could happen to us, get the chicken dumplings with the dumpling sauce, scrumptious. We came 3 times here throughout our vacations, I wish we had a restaurant like this in Madrid.

As advertised, but noodles are wonderful. The restaurant is tiny with more tables out than in. Service was quick and gracious and the pan-fried noodles were oh so fresh. I. Had shrimp and chicken and the shrimps were big! A great find in the heart of Chinatown.

The area is easily accessible and has a real authentic feel. These were easily the best noodles I have ever bad and even after multiple trips over a couple years I still think about these noodles every now and then despite not having them since 2020.

I was looking for Chinatown food, this place was affordable. The dumplings were outstanding and the sesame chicken was extremely good. All other sesame chickens Iāve had before pale in comparison.

Fantastic food. Fast and courteous service. Very small restaurant. If you want romantic sit down this is not it. You want amazing food and service this is it.

I've visited Chinatown mainly to eat something for lunch and it was totally worth it. Both dumplings and noodles were extremely well prepared with very good seasoning.

This is a small buffet like restaurant in The heart of Chinatown. Food is ok however it is not a china restaurant you may wish to spend your time for a cosy lunch and definitely not for a dinner. I am sorry to say but it does not worth visit just for this place but if you are already in Chinatown and do not expect much, that is fine.

This place is amazing! Without a doubt, these are the best noodles I've ever had. The quick service and the prices are great, too.

This restaurant has great noodles! I ordered the pan fried chicken hand pulled noodles to go since my husband doesnāt like Chinese food. The noodles were so good. I felt like the portion was huge for only $8.75!! I ate it for lunch and dinner and still had some left. This place only takes cash but donāt worry thereās a bank close by so you can use the ATM. If youāre in Chinatown definitely try out this restaurant!

Fun visit! Tight inside but they have seating downstairs, too. Tried the vegetable pan fried noodles and fried chicken dumplings. Sooo good! And cheap!! You have your choice of noodle type and size. They provide water on the table and fresh cilantro you can add to your dish. You can see them making the noodles in the kitchen and hear the loud bang when the chef lobs the dough on the counter. It may startle you at first. Lol! He kindly let me video him, too! So many items on the menu. A must when in Chinatown!

We really enjoyed the food and the experience, but the service was kind of spotty and confusing. We didnāt know if we were supposed to seat ourselves or not. Or if we were supposed to order at the counter or not. And no one seemed too eager to tell us. But our soup dumplings were delicious, as were our steamed shrimp dumplings and duck noodle soup. So we still really enjoyed ourselves. It was just kind of confusing for first timers.

This place was fantastic. We had the knife cut noodles pan fried with chicken and the fried pork dumplings. They were both fantastic and very authentic. We will return.

Difficult to choose this restaurant without TripAdvisor reviews but we were not disappointed! Very typical, even the team arguing in Chinese šš¤£ The noodles are delicious and the portions are astronomical! We had three dishes for 4 and two would have been MORE than enough! Beef, chicken and shrimp noodles, we tried all 3 and they were delicious! We also had steamed ravioli and it was so good too!

Small restaurant but cheap and good size portions lovely jasmine tea and good choice of dishes and noodles

This was a great find for home made noodles in China town.. You can see the cook making the noodles in the back.. this is a very small place.. you might have to wait. The food is worth the wait. Hot tea is served with your meal. They have can cokes to purchase...

Family lunch break not planned in Chinatown. Small terrace on the street, a few tables, quick service. Very good and plentiful dishes Excellent value for money The person serving us tells us that she does not take the bank card and miracles an ATM on the wall of the restaurant š Joke aside, very pleasant moment To do

This little restaurant was a gem of a find! Thank you to other reviewers as without them we would have walked straight on past this place. From the outside and first impressions when you walk in youād think twice about this place. Itās rough around around the edges, a little dingy, but absolutely charming once you sit down. The place is tiny, but the service is quick and efficient so we only had a 3 minute wait for a table. They served us jasmine tea when were seated while we browsed the menu. The noodles are the reason people come here. You can order a multitude of dishes with the noodles made to order. It was wonderful to see into the kitchen where they are pulling and cutting the noodles to your preference. I had tofu fried noodles and the flavour and quality by far exceeded my expectations based on the price. This. Place. Is. Cheap. Cheap and amazing! Best budget dinner in NYC. Do not miss! (The pic is my very satisfied husband with his delicious noodles)!

We walked across the Manhattan Bridge, and had dinner at this place on Christmas Eve. Then walked back to our Brooklyn hotel after. What an incredible evening. The food is very tasty, and very cheap prices for Manhattan.

Good food. Not too expensive. Huge plates. CASH ONLY. Not welcoming or nice staff but fast and efficient.

Don't be fooled by its unpretentious outlook. This is a lovely place in Chinatown, few stalls placed outside to sit and taste delicious noodles. We had the ones with the duck.

You hungry? Do you like Chinese? THEN YOU'VE COME TO PARADISE Great noodles, the best, large portion in fact it is better to share if you want to taste other things on the menu (worth it). Very good dumplings. Super recommended place!!

Great food and authentic atmosphere. Dumplings were delicious. It was the most reasonably priced meal I had in NY.

Their soups are both scrumptious and substantial. A midday serving provided me with enough energy to last through the late hours of the night! The House special noodle soup with shrimp, chicken, beef, and a fried egg was particularly delightful. What's even better is that you can customize the seasoning to your likingāsriracha, oyster sauce, soy sauceāall readily available on the table. The ambiance is also fantastic, with a mural showcasing the work of a Chinese photographer and locals leisurely strolling around, perfectly complementing the authenticity of the food being served. This place is undeniably cool! I'm definitely coming back soon, without a doubt!

I work a few doors down from here and I am glad I do. I come here for lunch all the time. THe prices are reasonable and the food is fresh and delicious. I usually get the Pan Fried Noodles with Chicken. They give you a choice of up to 5 different widths of the noodle. I get the one similar to fettuccine and it is delicious. You can even watch into the kitchen while they pull the noodles. One portion is less than $9 and it is worth every penny. I recommend this place and will continue to go back.

Go check out this establishment! We planned most of our meals from TripAdvisor while in NYC, but happened upon this little gem while exploring Chinatown. I tried the Pork Dumpling Noodle Soup, which was very good (the broth was great!). If I was closer to NYC and able to visit again, then I would try the pan fried noodle as it looked delicious. Either way, give it a try as I am sure that you will not be disappointed!

Not everything (and some will argue very little) is still authentic in Manhattan Chinatown. With gentrification, increasing rents and crime, a lot of Chinese are moving out to the suburbs like Flushing and what is left is mostly for tourists. But this is 100% authentic Chinese experience. You know with a storefront sign like "Tasty hand pulled noodles Inc. Tel 212-791-1617" that they are not spending a lot of money on marketing. We sat outside in one of the stalls and just had a huge bowl of hand made noodles with beef. Nice broth, lots of noodles and beef....delicious snack! Expert tip: they have the paper plates on the table....put your hot sauce on the plate and dip you beef into the sauce instead of putting your hot/chilli sauce into the bowl of broth....that way the broth is not all spicy...unless of course you like it spicy! If you want to experience Chinatown eats the way locals do, this is the place

Donāt let the building scare you away. Itās a small place that has sitting in the basement and 1st floor. We ordered the fried chicken and vegetables dumplings. We got 8 and all disappeared in a few minutes. Great taste. We then ordered a plate with chicken, beef and shrimp and noodles. The plate was very big and it easily fed 2 people. My wife and I shared the plate and it was extremely good. The service was quick. Everything I saw coming out of kitchen looked good and smelled good.

Great noodles and simple Chinese plates. We had a noodles and chicken. Very nice seating on the street and inside you can see the noodles master at work

Noodles were good. The toppings were on top and needed to be mixed in. There was a sauceto put on the noodles that was put in a hot sauce bottle that was very good. I also got beef dumplings. They were very good. But I would eat them with ginger in black vinegar, but there was no ginger.

You may gasp when you first walk in but sit down and take a breath as the food is marvellous! Perfectly seasoned and served fresh. We had the chicken soup with dumplings and pan fried pulled noodles with chicken. Delicious! Had to get an order to go and we will be back again before we leave. Make the trip, soooooo with it!

An excellent address, the noodles are excellent, the dumplings to die for. And the super fast service. All for a very reasonable price considering the portions.

Excellent address, it's very good, it's hearty, it's rather cheap, the service is fast, the products are fresh and we are very well received. Another great experience thanks to TripAdvisor!

There was no customer service whatsoever. She asked what I wanted, I told her she said for her or to go. I was torn between the pork wonton soup/the span fried shrimp noodles. It was bland, and alot of food but not tasty at all unfortunately.

Noodles are great and so is price. I had tofu and vegetables with knife cut noodles. Unique style of noodles - very tasty I dream about them often

Our tour guide recommended Tasty Hand Pulled Noodles, and it was quite good. Basic authentic Chinese food was the goal, & they delivered. The portions were big & the value was tremendous.

The noodles are hand pulled and great. The portions are adequate and taste great. If you want 4 star service and upscale ambiance then look elsewhere. If you want a great meal at a great price jump on in. It's a great choice!

Would definitely recommend eating here ! Service quite friendly and efficient. Lots of space to eat outside. The prices are very cheap (for NY) and the food is tasty !

My son and I came here for lunch. The place is tiny and no frills, but we were seated quickly. We started with pan fried dumplings and I got the roasted pork hand pulled noodles and my son got the shredded pork with wider noodles. Both were delicious, but I think the quality of pork was better in my sonās dish. Mine was a little fatty. Great place - I would go back. Cash only.

By chance we came across this small restaurant. I was with my husband around Chinatown and we wanted to eat shrimp noodles. And here it is .... the wonder. From outside we did not think it was so captivating but once ordered and arrived the noodles we were speechless. Here they make the noodles by hand and the difference they feel is spectacular. If you happen to stay in New York do not miss it. Visit this place and taste the noodles are delicious and cheap

I could eat these noodles all day! Seriously, so good. There are only a few tables, but the service is relatively quick. We would happily go back next time we visit!

Tasty Hand-Pulled Noodles is a cheap eats joint known for their noodle bowls and dumplings. I'm a fan of both. Its main competitor is Lam Zhou, which is pretty close by. I'd say the noodles at Tasty are better than those at Lam Zhou, but the dumplings at Lam Zhou are better than those at Tasty. That makes me have to go to both depending on the craving. Note: cash only.

...if you see how the chef hand pulls them, they're double as good! I had tendon soup and pork dumplings, both delicious and absolutely fairly priced. A go-to place in Chinatown.

This place is what it is. Donāt go expecting fancy over the top service. The noodles are amazing with a perfect amount of chew to them and great flavor from the broth or sauce they are cooked in. There are only a few tables and the place is small so you may need to be patient waiting for a table.

Decent but not unbelievable like some of the reviews say. We ordered the chicken fried noodles. It was just alright to me. And for $15 there wasn't much chicken in it. There were alot of noodles though. Also it's cash only so be prepared. I would probably try somewhere else next time. Not that it was bad, just not wowed by the place.

The noodles here are unreal good! They have texture and are hardy without being too dense. We had the duck, beef and chicken fried hand pulled noodles. They were all delicious, but the chicken was outstanding. I give it 4 Stars because the restaurant itself is far from tidy. But the table was clean and the important stuff (plates, forks, etc.) was clean too. It was definitely an authentic Chinatown experience.

Having read the amazing reviews I was pretty underwhelmed by this place. I had the cucumber salad and the #2 house special noodles. The cucumber salad was delicious, no complaints there. The noodles were a bizarre mixture of fantastic and awful. The noodles themselves were absolutely beautiful. But the broth they sat in tasted of nothing, the beef was dry and gristly, and the chicken was slimy. Service was friendly and efficient. The place seems to be unheated and was absolutely freezing with a constant stream of draughts whenever anyone opened the door. Not really an enjoyable experience.

The best noodle I ever taste! Delicious! Shrimp noodle was awesome good taste, fresh veggies, good experience!

Always a guarantee. For every stay in NYC a stop here cannot be missed. Everything is delicious, but the noodles are something out of space. Close your eyes and pay no attention to the location and enjoy a great dinner in Chinatown. Super low prices, with 30 euros for two you can eat great (which is crazy for being in Manhattan). Always a guarantee

A tiny store out of the way in one of the most filmed and well known little alleyways in Chinatown. After waiting for about 35 minutes for a table in a very crowded dinning room we were seated with a big smile and a teapot full of hot teas so welcomed in a wintry cold New York day. The menu is very abundant with all sort of delicacies mostly based on hand pulled delicious noodles made at the view of the customers by an expert quick and efficient worker right in the front of the store. The 4 dishes we ordered were piping hot, well seasoned and the noodles superb! Dare I say this are the best I have ever had in many of the 2 dozen or so shops that taunt you with these delicate silky and ever so satisfying hand made creations. The decor is non existing and the service hurried and polite but what lacks in all of those fields makes up in flavor, texture, delicacy, quality and amazing low price. I honestly highly recommend this shop ( I visit it at least once a week). Cheap eats full of flavor, quality and quantity!!

I saw this place on television and wanted to give it a try. I must admit that some of the reviews had me thinking twice about coming here. I went with my instinct and let me say it was the right choice. Yes the place is off the beaten path and in need of some refurnishing. But once you are seated and watch your noodles being made fresh to order you forget about anything other than your order. We had the fried noodle combo and a bowl of roast pork soup. Talk about great! Some of the best Chinese food Iāve ever had and that is comparing to Los Angeles and San Francisco. Fresh noodles make a big difference. We went early during the week and we did not have to wait. If you are craving some great Chinese noodles then try this spot. It will not disappoint. FYI. Cash only.

Very dirty and smelly place with minimum service. We had 3 soups and a fried noodle dish. The noodle dish was okay but the tofu soup was tasteless, the pork meatball soup was downright inedible and mine with chicken was satisfactory. In short, a very unpleasant experience, I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant.

Wanted to try this little place and glad we did awesome steamed vegetable dumplings and pork dumplings, definitely stop in for a quick bite if your in Chinatown for some very good dumplings

Very affordable meal located at the edge of Chinatown. The meal portions are more than enough to leave you satisfied - but not overkill. I had the hand pulled-pan fried noodles with beef. 10/10 would eat again. They have another location in Mid town but that one is a bit more expensive.

This place is in the alley way, but there is always a line to get in. When you eat the food you will know why. It is really good fresh noodles. This is a must stop to eat.

We had such high hopes. Noodles were tasty. Chicken fried rice ok to good. Orange chicken was good. We loved the sauce. House special was just ok.

DELICIOUS! this place is really a hidden gem. don't let the outside scare you, the food is absolutely delicious, and fresh! they make all of their noodles in house and they're famous for their own fried noodles and their soups too! I had the brócoli chicken which was so so so good. I had the absolute best pam fried vegetable noodles here. Good sized portions too!

Excellent food But would prefer no styrofoam and paper plates excellent prices go off hours to avoid a line

LOVED the dumplings and noodles. The food was absolutely amazing. The only downside is the restaurant is very small, with only enough sitting room for maybe 10-15 people and they only take cash so my husband had to run to an ATM. You can see into the kitchen and watch them make the noodles which is neat!

The food was really good which is why it gets 5 stars. We went around lunchtime with a group of 10 high schoolers and 2 adults and had to wait about 20 minutes for tables to open up. We were unable to sit together or even on the same floor. It is a tiny place and not the tidiest, but the food is worth it. I watched the noodles being hand pulled through the doorway behind the cash register.

Tasty Hand noodles was amazing. The staff were nice and hospitable. Gabriel Culiat will definitely recommend them to family and friends

I went there with my family. The restaurant is very little, but the food is simply amazing. Try the knife peeled noodles!

This is a small place with a huge flavor. The pulled noodles are so good. My son loved the fried noodles. Look for it on a very small street because the discovery is worth it.

They had reported this place for the quality of the noodles that has proved really good. Recommendation, however, only to those who are willing to eat without aspirations to hygiene or aesthetics, reduced to a minimum. Low prices

We went here for lunch and were really disappointed. We had the chicken steamed dumplings which were ok but then we had the duck noodles and the duck was inedible! The fat noodles were nice but that was about it. I personally would never go here again.

I took a short Uber ride to this place in Chinatown with my wife and two young kids. It is a whole in the wall, but that's everything we loved about it. We got the fried pork dumplings, chicken and noodles and shrimp and noodles. Everything tasted authentic and amazing. The bill for the 4 of us to have dinner with an appetizer was less than $40 (cash only). Trust me, if you like good noodles and don't care about being packed into a small restaurant with others, you'll be craving this meal again like we are right now.

This was our second time in New York in the last few years, and this awesome restaurant was the only one from our last trip that we went back to! You probably aren't staying in Chinatown (we weren't), but it's worth it to visit this place. The best noodles you'll ever have! Definitely not a fancy place, but authentic.

Our family stopped here for lunch while visiting Chinatown. Small place, but we managed to be seated right away with our party of five. Service was fast, and it was fun to watch as the noodles are made fresh by hand in the kitchen, which is visible from the dining area. We ordered steamed vegetable dumplings and fried pork dumplings, and several kinds of noodles and soups among our family, and everyone loved every bite! The prices are very reasonable as well. Would definitely return!

Excellent value for money , nice and delicious Chinese canteen. I recommend homemade sautƩed noodles. Simple and pleasant service. There are people

If youāre wanting a posh meal in a swanky restaurant then you may want to give this one a miss...... However, if youāre a true foodie looking for delicious homemade Chinese food in a less than delicious restaurant then look no further! Polite staff, reasonably priced, food came quickly and was really tasty, you could even see the chef out the back making the noodles from scratch! Would come here time and time again. This little gem is worth its weight in peking Duck!

Incredible, we had the fried dumplings, sesame chicken and fried noodles. Amazing. So tasty and good! Would defenetly recommend.
Must try if you love Chinese food
Food is absolutely fabulous! superb Chinese Food in New York city š. From hand made noodles, dumplings to sesame chicken, they are all delicious dot
