Definitely would increase your heart rate in a good way. It's a healthy tapas place complete with fine food and wine. I must go back soon so that I could try many more plates (with dishes in it of course). I had a great time with 2 former school mates and my professor. We ordered a bottle of red wine with a few dishes. If you're looking for a great place to hangout with great food then this place is perfect for that, especially after a long day at work. We came here on weekend so it doesn't matter. We sat at a high table, not a bar but they have a high marble table with high chairs and hanging lamp above it. I was sweating under that light lol. We also ordered 4 different types of chiccheti and insalate: bruschetta, arugula salad, lentil stew and octopus. So ok, here's the full descriptions of all the 4. The best of all is definitely the octopus. Don't leave the restaurant without ordering this because this is out of this world! I know octopus is cute but I'm sorry, it's juicy and it's spectacular! So I had one of the best octopus in Italy so trust me if I say this is as good as I had in Italy. Second best is the salad. Oh wow, we were racing to get to the finish line. Get this! Get this! Third the bruschetta. Please tell your date that you want to try this because you heard a lot of good things about it. Good luck! The lentil was the last one to go, so don't worry if you miss it. The wine was smooth. Our waiter, a European server from Greece, a tall and ready to serve, who I forgot the name, was very good. He took good care of us. The atmosphere is cozy cafe style. If you can sit happily on a high chair, that means it's a comfortable place to be. The half standing and half sitting position could be good for your posture! Well done!

Per my earlier review of June 2014. I did not rate the restaurant highly on account of poor service. They also seem to have overcharged by credit card - this was challenged and the Credit card company credit my account for the overcharged amount. You are advised to keep your receipt and tally it with your credit card bill.

A buzzing italian restaurant, with setting outside and in, Terra offers full italian fare or, as we had, an italian version of tapas with a good selection of side dishes. AT 8.30PM on a Tuesday night Terra was almost busy. The tables and bar were almost full, and whilst there were tables outside most of those queuing with us waited to sit indoors. We had a glass of wine at the bar, perfectly respectable italian chardonnay and a Greco di Tufo. After five minutes we had a seat at a high table with bar stools. We shared dishes of sliced octopus, prosciutto wrapped mozzarella and an excellent italian sausage in lentil stew. The waiter recommend a medium bodied italian red - also very good though I forget what it was - and the bill came to $120. Good, relaxed italian food in a very welcoming atmosphere. To be recommended...i will return

Walked in off the street without a reservation. Owner/maître de couldn't have been nicer. We ended up sitting at and behind the bar! Interestingly they have seats on both sides of the bar. Little tight but manageable. Waiter was friendly. No rush to move us along. Liked that. Plates are small but reasonable for the price. Linguini with clams was tasty. Ceasar a little bland, desert standard fare. But great atmosphere. Will return

By coincidence my husband visited Terra Winebar on a Thursday night and had a wonderful evening. The wine was excellent, the staff super knowledgeable and friendly. Really nice atmosphere and the food was great too. Highly recommended - also if you're not a sommelier/wine specialist the staff is there to help you without making you feel ignorant.

The restaurant offers a warm and romantic atmosphere. Very busy and alive. Great wine (12$ per glass) and pasta (12 $) selection. Worth a visit.

This is a Tribeca gem! Food is superb: well served, perfectly seasoned, and decently priced. Selection of wines is very good and service makes you feel welcome. Perfect for a relaxed dinner with friends or adult family members.

Had a fantastic meal here with my husband. We shared 4 tapas plates and then finished off with dessert. Wine list is interesting, service was excellent.

Just came back from NYC. My husband and I stumbled across this place in Tribeca on our way to another restaurant we had looked at on Trip Advisor. We were looking for a romantic place to eat our first dinner of the weekend in NYC. We arrived early (7pm) with no reservation on a friday night. The restaurant is small but there was a window bar for some, a regular tiled bar for others and table seating that while all close we never felt crowded or closed in. I think they they had about 10 tables and 8 were open with some folks scattered at the other seating choices. Our waiter was so right on. I was so hungry I we order apps first and asked if we could have some more time looking at the entrees. He put them right in along with a drink order. Upon his return he told us about the specials, answered questions about the menu and was very knowledgeable. By the time he took our additional order our apps arrived. I had goat cheese wrapped in eggplant that both my husband and I agreed was so delicious that it should have been a dessert. For dinner, my husband had lamb shank that melted in your mouth. My fish was was in a lemon caper sauce ontop of arugula. Delicious and light - what I was looking for. The wine was fabulous (lots to choose from). The place was filled by 730 and folks were looking to get in. I saw negative reviews on yelp and positive. Even a negative review of the eggplant goatcheese app - clearly I disagree with that particular review! We will be back next time in NYC to see if they can deliver another good experience.

We had a family birthday celebration at Terra Wine Bar. We arrived early as it was very cold outside. The staff seated within few minutes and made sure our visit was the best. Everyone was very courteous. The food was excellent, the wine and dessert was incredible. Dinner was served family style. I would recommend this place to anyone. Reservations are recommended as well. Would definitely return on our next trip to NYC.

My son picked Terra as he has been there several times and has enjoyed their food and wine. It was a rainy night so we had to sit inside. The tables were on top of each other and so we could hear every word said from the couple next to us that were on a really bad first date. Our waiter was okay and gave us the lay of the land as we waited for my son to arrive. We took his suggestion and ordered a 1.5 glass container of wine and checked out the specials. To start we had some prosciutto and burrata and some grilled octopus salad. They served us some delicious bread too. For my entree I ordered the Risotto del giorno which was flavorful and peppery and delicious. And since we were celebrating...a Tiramisu. It was a good night, but I am sorry to say I cannot rate Terra higher than average.

The service was exceptional and the food and wine selection were amazing. Would certainly go back next time we're in New York.

This is a very small place so doesn't accommodate a lot of people at once but worth anticipating and making a reservation. There may be certain times that you could just walk in and be seated - call and ask. We had a delicious burrata and prosciutto appetizer special that was plenty ample for 4 people. Everyone had a different pasta dish - all pasta done al dente and perfectly. Flavor excellent. Beet salad was massive and ended up being shared amongst everyone but flavor also excellent. Staff very attentive and efficient. Didn't have to want for anything as they were right there asking if you even looked like you needed something - but not imposing. They amazingly moved around a tight room without making you feel like it was tight. A little on the dark side but the ambience is very pleasant. Would definitely return to this place.

My group all loved our meals! Appetizers were fantastic as were the entrees and the specials. Our only gripe is that the tables were too close together with other guests even though the restaurant was nowhere near full.

We stayed at a hotel nearby and accidentally stumbled upon this beautiful and serene restaurant where we ended up going 4 times during our stay. During one late dinner, we had a number of great seafood appetizers and were wonderfully waited upon by Eugenie. The tuna tartar was especially sublime, as well as the tiramisu! Another time, we came for lunch and had an amazing burrata with prosciutto among other things.

My daughter took me here for a light lunch. We had the meatballs and mushrooms on ciabatta with a glass of bubbly. It was first class and absolutely delicious. We just wanted a snack as we were going out for dinner, but this was ample and very filling. Very friendly staff, quick service and nice atmosphere. Would certainly recommend.

Food was great...the bruschetta with truffle and ricotta was the best...their red sauce is amazing too. Wine was great, service was great, and cocktails were strong! Drank entirely too much, but staff was very friendly. Hope we didn't make too much of a scene. Highly recommend.

Excellent bread and olive oil. Wonderful wild boar! Good lasagna Bolognese. All for $22 — unbelievable. Going back soon!

We stumbled upon Terra by accident and what a gift it is!! I wish we were able to spend the whole afternoon there! The food is simply extraordinary and the service was wonderful!! I highly suggest stopping by but I warn you... you won't want to leave!!

Very well run, someone has thought long and hard about this one. The pricing is very competitive and the value for money outstanding. Well made Italian dishes in various guises, and a wine list that really adds to the experience. First time I've been seated inside the bar looking out, wouldn't complain if that happend to me more times. You're close to the action in a very nice way. Even though it is teeming with guests, you don't have to wait long to be seated and the rest is there for you to enjoy.

Nice place with good Italian cuisine. Fresh ingredients and good choice of wines. Ask for the specialities cause you could be surprised. I will be back here again!

Right across the street from the subway, very busy restaurant even on a Monday night! Reasonably priced pasta dishes (all $12), appetizers- try the mushroom bruschetta (8 slices- great to share), small but worthy wine list including wines by the glass or carafe. We all had pasta (tortellini with cheese/lobster, bolognese) - reasonable portion size for a woman, men with large appetites should order one of the meat/chicken/fish dishes or appetizers. We also ordered 2 sides of vegetables which never appeared but since the portions were reasonable- we didn't miss the sides and the waiter apologized and (naturally) did not charge for the sides. Love their crusty bread with a spicy olive oil dip! One of the decent priced restaurants in Tribeca.

The food is terrible and made us sick. The salad tasted old and it had a ridiculous amount of ingredients, despite the salad. We had a pasta, which made us sick. The waiters are pretentious and rude, making comments on the customers seated between them. Awful experience, very unfortunately on our way. There certainly are better spots around and would absolutely avoid this one.

After walking Brooklyn Bridge we wanted something light for lunch so not to diminish our appetite for dinner. We were seated inside as it was quite warm outside Good service lovely fresh food. My husband had the mussels and I had the salmon tartare which was encrusted with black poppy seeds and served with anchovies. We asked for a pino grigio but they were all out but the waitress recommended a lovely vermentino was went down nicely.

Best place to eat when you are in New York. The waitresses is the best Ones ever👌🏼. The food is amazing so make a stop here.

What a great little find. The pizza was amazing (all varieties $16). The Tiramisu in a class by itself. Wine list too expensive.

Meatballs and octopus were really, really good. Also good wine selection. Nice indoor/outdoor setting for summer.

We thought we would try a different neighborhood place, especially in light of other reviews. Sadly, when we had dinner it was not very relaxing and the food was just mediocre. Our drink order was botched twice, or at least botched once and poorly prepared the second time. Instead of a dry martini it was dirty the first time, and not dry the second time. Things did not really improve from there, though the staff was friendly and the service was prompt. It is not a place where you can have conversation in a normal conversational tone. Most of the seats are at the window bar or the bar - you will be sitting elbow to elbow with other diners, some of whom are amorous and some of whom are clearly not getting along. Too much people watching, as you can look down the entire length of the bar. And the loud music is really not conducive to dining. The Caesar salad I had was just ok. The dressing was on the sweet side. The eggplant with goat cheese needs to be rethought - the eggplant was tough, hard to cut and the cheese squirted out all over. I was expecting something a bit more tender, layered and lasagna-like. The monkfish was fairly tasteless. My husband got a pasta and seafood special that was more like the size of an appetizer - for $21 one would have expected more linguine (which is not expensive) to go with the seafood. All in all, if you are looking for a bar/people watching scene with food on the side, you might like it. As for me, I will stick with Petrarca, my neighborhood favorite.

This little wine bar is so charming. We were one of a few occupied tables for happy hour. Service was prompt and efficient. Great wine list, of course, as well as liquor and cocktails. Would love to go back and spend more time here!

Friday Lunch with a colleague - a Carafe of wine and entrees. The waiter forgot about the wine - and had to be reminded. Extremely poor service. The food was decent and the wine selection was good. But the service has to improve significantly. Otherwise, will be YET another restaurant that came and went! The card given to me was for a non-working website!

I went with friends, and we had to eat outside, but with a temporary structure with sides and roof, and little heaters, it was as pleasant as possible given the circumstances. Service was excellent, and a full menu, even given the reduced capacity.

Love the waiters. The pasta is excellent. So are the salads and starters. Great wine list. We are here at least once a week. NY needs more places like this!

We stopped by on our stroll through Lower Manhattan. The Bar offers a very tasty Italian food, recommend Minestrone and Gnocchi Pomodoro. Also had a glass of Valpolicella, but selection is much wider. The food was very tasty, fresh and service pleasant.

My husband and I walked by Terra on our way downtown and decided we wanted to circle back to try it. Its European cafe style drew us in. We had crab cakes for our appetizer, and rigatoni (his) and pesto (hers) for main courses. Everything was great. Definitely worth a visit!

Head down to this cozy and delicious establishment for an enchanting evening. Outdoor seating right at the corner of Franklin and West Broadway.. Wonderfully prepared Italian dishes, simply presented and so very good. Relaxed atmosphere, moderately priced and lots of fun.. Refreshingly added to the Tribeca neighborhood

Big room downstairs.set menu and as much drink as we wanted for $120 a head. Very enjoyable. Food was decent. Portions a bit small. All round very good.

I have an Italian client from Milan who likes to eat here. The dishes are great and just enough portion for lunch. I usually order whatever he orders, since he knows his Italian food.

Located on W. Broadway in Tribeca, Terra is just a delight. Perfect lighting, wine bottle storage on all walls and a mixture of tables and a large communal bar make for perfect atmosphere. I've eaten there 3 times in the past 2 months and have had great conversations with staff and fellow diners. The food is divided into small plates, salads, entrees and desserts with an ala carte pricing that is surprisingly moderate. I was pleased to find out the small plates are really full servings and one plate and a salad is more than enough to eat. There are many offerings in all categories so you will always have new things to try. Wines by the glass are poured generously and they have a large selection. The best part is the quality of the food. Everything tastes delicious, like fresh, locally-sourced foods. Heavy, light, green, meat, fish...all good! Service is friendly, helpful and they act like you are longtime customer and they are happy to serve you. My only challenge is not eating there everytime I'm in NYC and missing out on all the other great places.

I stopped by looking for something light and tasty. Menu at lunch offer great range of choices (salads, pastas, apps) all at the same price (ca $12). I had grilled sardines, a dish I’ve had often around the world. This dish was unlike any other- to the good. These were two sardine croquettes with whole pieces on top of two polenta squares. Absolutely delicious. Excellent bread and olive oil (with some olives in it). It was a great and surprising lunch. I can’t wait to take my wife and others to try more.

During our stay in NY we went twice to this small restaurant. We like the ambiance, the quick service and the food. Good choice of wine.

We popped in as our "last chance" for having lunch in Tribeca, a district we were really discovering that day due to its transformation into a sort of cultural and gastronomy "spot" in New York. It was really late and we were positively surprised to be welcome in this nicely decorated restaurant, with quite a few flavoured Italian dishes and a pleasant service. Although not that big (meaning you might need to book in advance), it can also be a relaxing place for having a drink after work, just few steps away from the World Trade Center, or over the weekend with friends.

We came up to this place by accident and we couldn’t have been happier ! Our family was complete happy Stefano was very very nice accommodating all of us and his coffee was to die for this place have an employee that needs and deserve to be promoted and before somebody else taking away , customer service skills and friendliness is a must and today business life . I do work for a food and wine magazines but today I es just enjoying with the family , and I most dy with the customer service of Stefano this restaurant earned a 5 starts

We went friday april 9 2016 with a group of 30 peoples and it was the most amazing restaurant night ever for all of us. Food, Wine, services and ambiance was so Perfect. Thanks for have us

Great meal in a really crowded restaurant with a really good atmosphere. Food was great and wine by the glas were convinient for tasting different bottles. A pity with the habit of only showing grapes and not producers on wine list. Tip op the day - buy wine in "quartinos" in stead of glasses. - its only a few dollars more than one glass and app. Two glasses. Only downside is the real annoying habit of including 20% tip on the bill.

We'd booked a table for six at Terra but all tables on the ground floor were full when we arrived so we were offered a communal table in the basement or a table at another place nearby, Suprised given that we had booked. Anyway we chose to eat downstairs. We had mozzarella saporita, sardines and datteri e gorgonzola for starters and each chose a pasta dish for our mains. All the food was plentiful and tasty and we had a great evening eating and talking. We sensed the head waiter urging the staff to hurry us up at the end of the meal but we and they ignored him. Shame we couldnt have eaten upstairs but other than that a good evening. Would go back again.

I bought a gift card throughout their website, the gift card was never delivered! I am so ashamed towards my co-workers who gave me the money to buy someone else´s birthday present! It was more than 2 weeks ago and nobody is helping me. I called Terra at least 7 times and the manager Mr. Jamel told me, the company which is their vendor, would call me back. They never did! Now I got a phone call from Terra (Mrs. Katy) and she said I need to be in touch with the vendor and they (Terra) can not do anything! What? THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CLIENTS! We live in the neighbourhood, we were always there, now honestly I would not recommend this disrespectful place to anyone.

We love this place so much, we go every time we are in NYC. I love the tagliatelle bolognese. It’s so creamy and yummy. The staff are fantastic and the bread is wonderful.

Must go especially if you are in Tribeca area. My mom went there for lunch, no reservation required. You may need one for dinner. Friendly and quick service, so many amazing wine options. And the food was outstanding - the best food I had over the course of our trip to NYC. I'd highly recommend ordering to three tapas and make sure you order the meatballs, the arugula salad with avocado and lobster, and any of their cheeses.

We looked for a restaurant near our hotel after a long day of sightseeing and happened across Terra. We were pleased they could accommodate us. It was a beautiful evening and we sat outside. The service was courteous, the menu was lovely - lots of options that interested us, and the food was delicious as was the wine. They were able to accommodate a gluten-free diet and had several options. The meal was very well-executed and well-priced. Great value. We would definitely come here again.

Stumbled across this place by accident and just popped in for a drink! After a vWey knowledgable and attentive barman, a very nice glass of wine was recommended. Couple more glasses and it was time for something to eat. Bar snack sized food "Insalate" or just pasta was great!!! Lasagne Bolognese- superb. Within the next 30 mins the place went from a hun to buzzing. Obviously a very popular place. Will have to remember this place!!

Wanted to sit with a quick coffee and croissant before heading uptown. First and only time we experienced sneery service. Cappucino came in a large china cup but the filter coffee was served in a takeout container. When we asked for it also to be in a cup he rolled his eyes and said 'oh you want a cup on the side'. And it was overpriced. Go to Square Diner across the road.

We had an hour for lunch between meetings and just dropped in. It was 90 degrees and humid outside, but nice and cool inside. The decor is rustic, the staff was friendly. I ordered a chicken caesar salad and my wife had tagliatelle bolognese. Both were excellent. My salad was fresh and the chicken was very tender and well seasoned. The Tagliatelle Bolognese was very tasty. The portions were a bit small, but it was lunch and really bigger would have been too big. The bread was excellent and the olive oil for dipping was just right. While expensive ($18 for a small chicken caesar salad), the food was excellent, so we were both very happy. It's a noisy, happening place, but not so noisy that you can't hear. We'll both go back. BTW, I've seen this place listed as Terra Tribeca in some places.

Outstanding service, so helpful and friendly Stefano make me feel like I’m at home. The pasta tortelli con prosciutto was very good and the coffee that Stefano made for me was real Italian coffe, which is so hard to find in NYC. Thanks Stefano ❤️❤️❤️

This was the most outstanding dining experience we've had in all of New York. We literally stumbled in from a shopping trek to TriBeCa and were blown away by the thoroughly delicious food, excellent Provence rose and flawless service. It was so good, we'd like to move in and live here. When you find la dolce vita, you never want to let it go. Grazie mille, Terra - you are on the top of our global list.

Great service, amazing wine and delicious food! We had oysters, tagliatelle bolognese & lobster ravioli and it was all sensational. The staff and atmosphere and decor set a lovely vibe for this local Italian restaurant. Anna looked after us (we sat up at the bar which we love to do) and she was fab! Want the keep going back, so many things I want to order!

A great restaurant with an exceptional value for money, you eat well and you spend little, the prices on the list are inclusive of taxes .. excellent quality products and exceptional freshness. really a rare pearl in New York, I highly recommend it, a 5 star also to waitress Sara, professional and very kind. We will definitely be back

Bartender and wine were lovely. Pasta special was only ok. Seafood with squid ink linguine. Pasta was nothing special and something you could make at home.

Okay here's the deal: this place is misleading as heck. The website isn't up yet and it advertises itself as a wine bar- not the case. In fact, they won't even seat you unless you agree to a full dinner, and to be honest, the wine is just about average. The food is OK but the place is way too dark to the point where you have to play around with the candle to illuminate the menu. The menu is also the EXACT SAME as Aria which the waiter admitted was owned by the same company. I liked Aria a lot better but would probably not return here.

Great food, friendly service, lovely atmosphere. Very diverse selection of wines. Reservation is required.

We stumbled accross this small italian restaurant while walking around in Tribeca on an ultra-hot summer midday. The city was boiling and we were starving to death when we spotted this place at the corner of West Broadway and Franklin. The temperature was delicious inside and we were lucky enough to get a free table immediately. We did not expect such a wonderful place as it happened to be. The service was warm and welcoming, the food simply excellent and the atmosphere very nice. The prices were on the high side but I was happy to pay the check as we immensely enjoyed our stay there. I hope to come back again sometime in the future.

We were walking all around the area between Soho and TriBeCa trying to find the Ghostbusters Fire House. When we finally found it, we were all quite tired and hungry. It was our last day in Manhattan, and the parents wanted a nice glass of wine. Right beside the subway entrance, we found Terra, an amazing Italian restaurant where we ate like kings. My skirt steak with roasted potatoes and arugula salad was exquisite which matched the wine. Even the bread and oil was a cut above the rest.

Had dinner here and was very disappointed with the service. We were never provided the dinner specials and ordered from the regular menu. Our dinner arrived in 10 minutes and the waiter never asked us if we wanted a second glass of wine (which came after the meal was served). We had just finished eating our entrees when the waiter quickly removed our dishes. Service was very rushed and we were not given the opportunity to enjoy ourselves. We sat down at our table at 8:05pm and received our bill by 8:25pm. When we mentioned it to the manager on the way out, he was very rude and said to the hostess "That's what you get for being nice". The service and treatment of customers was HORRIBLE. Do not waste your time or money going to this restaurant. There are so many other restaurants in the area with far better service and food quality. Will never go this restaurant again.

Picked this place at random and wasn't disappointed! We started with some appetizers - the shrimp scampi, grilled lamb chops (2 ribs), gorgonzola-stuffed dates (3). The dates and the lamb chops were outstanding. The shrimp were tiny but tasty. We followed that with the papardelle with wild boar ragu and the tortelli. Both were substantial portions, and the parpardelle had a healthy amount of wild boar, very tasty. After cocktails, we enjoyed a Sicilian red, which was quite good. The wines are pricey, but the food was so reasonable, you really don't mind.

So glad we found this place! We had the cicchetti (sausage and lentil), the green salad with chicken, some lovely Burrata with prosciutto, and the tuna tartare. All were exquisite, with the humble cicchetti being the best dish! The Aperol Spritz was even better than the ones I had in Venice! I would come back just for them. And come back we will.

We came here without a reservation around noon and had a very pleasant lunch here. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious! Every ingredient was fresh and colorful. There are a lot of wines to chose from!

Very disappointing experience at Terra Wine Bar. It took 1 hour to get served our main courses and the arrogant French manager argued with us that it was normal instead of apologizing and offering to cover it. I would never go back to this place and strongly recommend to choose another restaurant if you are reading this. There are 100 more places to choose from that would be better and treat you nicer.

Amazing surprise . Stopped after BIG ONION TOUR (great of TriBeCa). Lobster arugula salad, crab cake appetizer, and osso buca pasta were terrific , and affordable . Do stop here ,Franklin & W. Broadway

After a visit to the Brooklyn Bridge I decided to walk back to my midtown hotel and stop at the first restaurant I saw that looked nice. Terra stopped me in my tracks! Great wine list, friendly wait staff passionate about their food and wine offerings, and a fun and fresh menu. My lamb and beets were divine and the Italian wine choices exhilarating. The atmosphere is soothing, a mix of modern and old world. I am so glad I stumbled upon this place, dining here made my evening!

Four times in 2weeks, that's gotta be a record for me. My co-workers and I love this place. Not only for being delicious but also cos it's so affordably priced for the neighborhood and service you get. So far every single dish I have tried has been excellent. Major standouts include the lamb and potatoes, the lobster avocado salad, the lasagna, spicy shrimp pasta and the lobster ravioli (only pasta that's kind of a teeny portion). We try to go other places for lunch but keep finding ourselves back here.

Awesome little spot we just came across as we were heading back to our hotel. We wanted a casual wine and something to eat. This was perfect. We wanted a cocktail initially and the bar man just asked us what we like and made somethings up for us. It was excellent. Not on the menu, but a great cocktail. The food was exactly what we wanted too. Tapas style options and the portion sizes were excellent. Would highly recommend.

Lovely location especially if you can sit outside, a lot of tasty options (some miss but so far almost everything has been enjoyable) and a great wine list. Service is friendly and efficient. I’ve had several enjoyable meals here and have it on my go-to dinner options.

We hosted an event for work at their "Loft". The food and wine was all tasty, the portions large and the hosts were very gracious and charming. They made everyone feel welcome and comfortable and were very engaged with all the guests. It's a nice space with sit down tables, ideal for hosting a party of 50 people.

An amazing and delicious food, great hospitality, and service))) we definitely will be back . We were really happy with wine selection menu too !!!

We were walking back from the 9/11 museum feeling rather somber but hungry as it was 3:00. Looked across the street to see an inviting sidewalk cafe. Decided it was too chilly to eat outside so grabbed a seat at the bar and watched the show the bartender put on as he made a succession of yummy cocktails. We just had a few small plates as it was so late. Lamb chops were very tasty, mussels were delicious as was the eggplant. Would love to return to try more. Prices were very reasonable.

I visited this restaurant with a friend for dinner. The menu is almost like a tapas bar menu with a lot of choice for small dishes of Italian inspiration to share. Food was great, service good as well. Place was a bit too noisy though.

Cute, cozy and classy service! Loved this little gem in Tribeca, look forward to returning in the near future.

Visited this restaurant tonight. Ordinary food with rather ordinary service plus a rude waiter to boot. Overall, disappointing. Will stick to restaurants recommended to us in the future.

The place is packed and the ambience is good - noisy for a restaurant, but definitely nice. The food is a completely diferent story; plates were small, expensive for what get. I ordered a tagliatele bolognese and it was merely a dry pasta with almost no sauce or meat. Flavor wasnt bad, but lacking of any texture. Considering the number of good options you have in NYC, this isnt a place I would recommend.

I ordered two small plates and two pastas and it came out to more than $100 with drinks. I thought Italian food is supposed to be cheap? Overall, the food was good. Feels authentic. Very popular in the summer since there are plenty of nice outdoor seating though indoor seating is nice, too. Very nice ambiance and romantic. The service was not bad at the bar.

This is a cozy neighborhood restaurant very close to the subway station with a large choice of primarily pasta entrees. Moderately priced. Thoughtful wine list. Knowledgeable wait staff. Friendly patrons, mostly from the neighborhood.

I have been there several time in the past few years. It is a typical small NY restaurant, well placed. The food is always attractive and quickly served. Great for a quick bite or a lengthy dinner with friends enjoying the sunshine!

The quaint restaurant was lit by candles. There were shared tables with barstools and then a few private tables. We ate dinner around 7:30pm and despite our reservation being lost, they seated us immediately. Everyone's food was amahzing. The staff were great and we were cozy in the dim lighting.

We checked in late at the Duane Street hotel and we decided on Terra which in only a 10 minutes walk. We were not disapointed. Menu offers many option at a reasonnable price. We were a party of five and we shared 4 cichettis for our first course. Go for the bruschetta, It was delicious. For a second course, our waitress recommended the Tagliatelle bolognese so I went for it and It was a hit. Wine list is not that extensive but It is reasonnably priced. We come from Québec and our waitress served us in french, which was unexpected and we appreciated it. Terra was an unexpected good surprise and I will definately go back, next time NYC.

This is a nice spot for a casual lunch if you're in Tribeca. We had a nice table outside, which provided fantastic people watching. I split a lobster salad with my brother as a starter. The flavors were good, but the lobster was average at best. For my main I got the prosciutto and pea tortellini. It was so delicious I finished every last bite, and it as a very good portion for $14. I would come here again for lunch.

Found Terra by accident while doing the tourist thing in Tribeca. Great to ne able to sit outside and watch the world go by. Staff good, food starters fantastic, mains lobster ravioli good my tagliatelle a bit over done but its hard to get bang on when it's busy was it was last night.

Literally everything we ordered was excellent! My only complaint is that they didn't have the bottle of wine I ordered originally. The suggested substitute was nice but 30% more $. All in all great food.

Eaten here a few times. It is always a great experience. Food is very good. Would suggest trying the special dishes.

Great restaurant, very friendly staff, delicious food! Will go again for sure! Try the daily specials!

Dropped in for light bite to eat and dinner on a Saturday night and were offered a table straight away. The waiters were attentive, the food was lovely and the bar had a beautiful ambience. Would definitely come back here.

Had dinner there with family. Crowded place but they got us a table in 15 minutes. Good prices and delicious food. Can recommend!

Beautiful, calm venue. Half of the place is glass which opens to north bound traffic the other two sides are brick faced. Very calm. I have spent too much time in Spain but this place's Spanish food is better than what I am used to. Place is very reasonably priced. Very, very relaxing place. Thumbs up.

There was a cockroach in my pasta. The waitress was very nice and comped the dish (not the full meal). I said I wouldn’t write a bad review but in hindsight, truly unacceptable that the manager did not so much as show face and apologize, and that the whole meal was not comped. Been dining in nyc for 30 years and this was a first. It happens, but make it right.

We were so excited to try Terra and love the small plates service. We sat outside, which was nice, and asked some questions about the menu before ordering several small plates to share. It took quite a while for them to bring us some bread, and then even longer for the dipping oil. I only mention from a service perspective; it wasn't busy when we were there and it seemed like one person was in charge of the bread and someone else in charge of the oil. Anyway. When the food arrived we were unpleasantly surprised. The mushroom bruchetta I ordered was actually pizza. Literally pizza. Mushrooms and cheese baked on a pizza crust and cut into bite sized pieces. And the stuffed eggplant was actually eggplant rollatini. Only, minus the flavor. As a vegetarian and eggplant connoisseur, I know a good eggplant rollatini. This was most definitely not it. I tried to rescue it by taking out the dry, flavorless "stuffing", but even the eggplant was tasteless. Broccoli rabe needs to be prepared well to not be bitter. I think the broccoli rabe at Terra might be boiled. It wasn't good. My BF had the meatballs, which he said were bland – he didn't finish them. All in all we left quite a bit on the plates and didn't bother to take it to go. I know Terra has lots of good reviews on TripAdvisor, and I'm glad so many people enjoy it. But this isn't authentic Italian, or even good Italian food. I just wouldn't go back and can't, in good conscience, recommend it. It wasn't good.

There were five of is and we shared 5 appetizers, then had an entrèe each. All excellent. The wine was very good and the draft pale ale, perfect. A fun lovely evening!

Met with friends who had used this place several times. As it was a warm night we opted a table outside but this was literally on the sidewalk (pavement) feet from the public litter can. We opted for several sharing plates , both starters and mains . Meat balls , ribs, mozerella and proscuto , garlic prawns all first class. We had ordered the lamb shank as one dish but lamb cutlets arrived by mistake. Lasange , steak strips , watch the pasta aribeata (chilli is hot ! ) . For deserts a cheeese selection for 2 and chocolate lava cake and vanilla icecream , this one is not for sharing as its that good you wont share ! 6x aperitifes, 4 x pims , 2 bottles of barollo a bottle of desert wine , an irish cofffee and a beer came to $700 with gratitudes . For NY and barollo at $85 bottle , this was typical NY prices we have found . Well worth a visit .

Tribeca needs more places like this! Delicious Italian, in a comfortable (if somewhat cramped) setting could not be more welcome in the land of "expense account" restaurants. I have been here many times over the past year, having tried many items on the extensive menu, all yummy. Amazingly, most dishes are in the $10-15 range so I can say with surety, that we will be coming back often. The menu changes with the season, and the place is comfortable enough to come with kids, another couple, a group of PTA women...etc. My favorite new spot!

The city that never sleeps does a pretty good impression on Christmas Day with not many places open for dinner. That's where Terra came to the rescue. We were attracted by the pretty lights around the window and then spotted people inside. Yes they were open and we learned they are open 365 days a year. We had just flown in from UK, were tired, a little hungry but not starving. When we explained we only wanted a light supper that was no problem and were given a couple of seats at the bar. Terra is warm and welcoming and has a cozy, relaxed atmosphere. Wine bottles fill wooden cabinets around the walls and they are not just for show, with staff going up and down a ladder to bring down bottles. The menu is full of interesting Italian fare and covers small and large plates, pasta and side dishes. We opted to share mushroom and cheese bruschetta, goat cheese and tomato sauce and roasted Brussel sprouts (well it was Christmas), accompanied with a local beer and a glass of Prosecco. This was a perfect start to our visit to NYC and can highly recommend Terra for atmosphere, food quality, service and value and certainly helped two visiting Brits have a happy Christmas.

The title says it all. The bread they serve with the food is crusty and tasty and comes with good olive oil. The lobster salad had lobster in a weird texture - maybe defrosted.

Ok , so you may have to wait 10 mins at busy times to get a table. Ok ,so it's crowded and noisy. Ok , so it's a bit dark due to all the candles . Ok, the menu is one sheet of paper and they write the specials on it. Then when the food arrives everything in the universe is suddenly way more than ok. Divine , delicious , authentic and just plain brilliant. Don't go here I don't want to wait in a longer line.

The welcome is icy, two people at the service who try to refurnish us with lasagna that we do not want. The pasta is fine, but the pizza is bad. We can't attract attention to settle because these gentlemen show things on their cell phones laughing. And when finally we pay, in cash, Mr. recounted without saying thank you and we leave without goodbye. I do not recommend this place I did not feel well and it is not often that I am so disappointed.

The kale salad is a MUST here - it is delicious and the dressing suits it perfectly. Service is good but I generally order / sit at bar. Nice wine list.

Very good food but pathetic service. It seemed to bother the staff to serve us. It was imposed on us a 20% tip but it does not deserve more than 2%. They forget the order of a member of our group, staff push us and hit us repeatedly and did not even apologized. The somelier however was courtoit and nice, the only staff member to be so. Dont go there if you want à nice evening.

“Terra” means “Earth” and boy, do they have Earthy Delights at Terra! Coming from a long walk in Chinatown I climb North on West Broadway. On the corner with Franklin my nose tells me it’s time for a well deserved break for lunch: it’s already 3:30. I like the neat wooden tables and the linen napkins. I take a look inside and I love all the wines on the walls, mostly Italian. Before long we are served tick slices of an absolutely delicious Italian bread with crunchy crust, accompanied by some olive oil and a few olives. The Arugula with Parmesan is sprinkled with some pesto. The branzino is pan-seared and served on a bed of steamed spinach and some slices of steamed baby potatoes. The whole thing generously (maybe too generously) covered with a sauce in which I detect roasted garlic, wine, lime, capers and some cream or butter. The scalopine del vitello (tender veal slices) are, surprisingly, covered with the same sauce. True, they go with it, but I’d expect a Chef who can cook so well to think twice before presenting two different dishes (fish & meat) with the same sauce… Both, by the way, go well with the Vermentino. Service is distracted to say the least and espressos were quite watery. Check came to $86 before tip.

love the atmosphere and the décor of the restaurant. However we DID NOT enjoy our waitress smelling like a big cigarette!! we were offered a bottle of wine which was $67.00 and then were told oh sorry we only have this one that was comparable to that and it is more money. (not the point) We don't mind paying for a nice bottle of wine. The point is we were quoted one price and when the bill came they charged another (more) . We were also charged $32.00 for two glasses of wine, which we had while waiting for our friends. The food was delicious we especially enjoyed the linguini with truffle and mushroom sauce. overall the food was great but watch the prices on the bill., they do not match their list.

Wonderful place in a wonderful neighbourhood.good wine and cocktails, friendly staff.tasty food.will go there whenever i am in NY

Cool place on our way back to hotel from 9/11 memorial. Definitely Will come again to try food. Nice cocktails, pleasant staff.

Our last meal here (over 5 years ago) was at a different venue in the same block, with the same name…confused? Well so were we at first but we weren’t disappointed. From what was previously a grand Italianate dining room with big open windows on a corner setting, this is now a narrow skinny space - but with industrial chic and close attentive service. The menu is interesting and offers plenty of options for all - and the drinks list has some good varieties across the board. All round very enjoyable and worth a visit.

I've been to Terra Wine Bar on several occasions - I'm always happy to eat there. The food and wine menus provide plenty of options for everyone. Plus, the pasta is fantastic, and the restaurant itself has a really good setup. The service can range from great to average. Overall, I've only had good experiences whether it's been with a friend, a date, or a group.

Had the dish of the day. Risotto with mushrooms. Unfortunately the mushrooms were not fresh any more.

Repeatedly love going to Terra, especially during warm weather. Staff are great, especially for regulars. Outdoor seating during nice weather is great, although try to choose space on the south side, as traffic along Broadway can sometimes distract. Always enjoy the tomato sauce with goat cheeee, perfect for dipping in the crusty bread. The kale salad is also very tasty, with pecorino cheese. I like the octopus starter but can be a bit salty and is a bit large for a starter, better to share with someone. Various pasta options, but I often opt for one of the fish specials. They don't have a big dessert menu, but plenty of Italian wine to choose from. If you are coming Wednesday to Friday after 6:30, reservation is key. Great place to drink away a beautiful afternoon outside in the summer!

Terra is typical Tribeca fare -- the food is good, indeed perhaps very good, with an option of small portions, that's quite nice. The alcohol choices are extensive and generally good as well. But you are packed in, the noise level is high, and the service is rushed - clearly interested in getting you in, ordered, served, and out for the next occupant of your table. The meal isn't relaxing, the atmosphere is pretty rushed and noisy, and generally you leave not feeling particularly appreciated, relaxed, or satiated. Plenty of other places in Tribeca to get good food. And, plenty of other places will let you sit for a while, not grab your plate mid-bite to keep you moving, or otherwise make it clear that you need to keep it moving as there's another seating coming along.

Definitely one of the best one bars in New York City. Love the location, right in Tribeca. The ambiance is fantastic & the service is always perfect. Excellent food, fair prices & great wine. A must visit.

Beautiful food and a great selection of wine. They have other wines available from the bar rather than just on the food menu, which you can still order with your meal. Very romantic, candlelit and vibrant. You can go with friends or a partner.

A great find in TriBeCa. Most of the appetizers are $10 and entrees $12. The actual bar is replaced with a long bar height table, so sit there to be in the action and watch all of the locals. Nice, attentive service and really good pasta.

There are so many good Italian restaurants in NYC. For visitors it is diffcult to choose but this was good. The service was good. Sat outside on a nice evening. The food was prepared well. .

We had a rehearsal dinner at Terra and arranged a wonderful fixed price menu with Alex. They gave us a private room downstairs which was a great venue for our gathering, and the food and service were outstanding.

Whenever I crave pasta I come to this place. It is reasonably priced, the interior is rustic and warm and the staff is always attentive. My favorite is the osso buco sauce. Can't wait for springtime when outdoor seating opens!

I came across this restaurant by accident. It is in the "Tribeca" area in New York. It has to be the best Italian food I've even had. Better than anything we had in Italy. All home made, highly recommend, reasonable prices, great service. Absolutely delicious

Without a doubt, their grilled octopus salad was the best I’ve ever had! They serve a diverse selection of wines, including more commonly available varietals as well as gavi and pinot nero. My server/mixologist was fabulous! She mixed a bourbon-amaretto-juice cocktail for me that was plenty good and perfect. Sitting at the counter in 70-degree temps with the doors/walls open was a great way to kick off October! Can’t wait to go back.

Great food and not crazy $$. I'm not a fan of the communal table so I always try for a two top. Sitting outside in the summer is great here.

A great venue for a glass of wine and some authentic Italian food. The restaurant is open air with a nice bar and lots of outdoor seating. The wine selection is good and reasonably priced. A nice stop if you are in the area.

I am Italian. I ordered fettuccine with mushroom hoping to get a nice simple dish of pasta (olive oil, garlic and mushrooms, a bit of fresh parsley on top and some parmigiano); fettuccine came in this glaze/brown sauce. Very disappointing. Real Italian food: Keep it simple , use good ingredients - less is more.

We go this place semi regularly. Maybe every three weeks or so finds us here. We usually have no trouble getting a table but the place is rarely uncrowded. People seem to love it and I agree with them! You feel like you're in a real place that uses authentic ingredients. Nothing feels contrived or anything but fresh and high quality. The bread is a good example. This is about ask good as restaurant bread gets. Chewy, but light and deeply tasty. I almost always get an Italian beer on draft. It's a rare spot that feels cozy on the coldest day of the year and yet breezy and open on the warmest. This isn't the place for a quiet dinner. It can get vey loud me and it is a bit manic at times. The staff is friendly but not overbearing. The food is rustic and the plates are on the small side. Good things if you ask me. You don't overeat!

My cousin and I stopped in here for wine before dinner someplace else. But we were told we couldn't get a spot because it was dinner time and we weren't ordering dinner. So we came back after our dinner and had wine and dessert. The service was helpful and attentive. We sat at a high-top communal style table, so there wasn't much privacy. The decor was nice. The wine was good - desserts, so-so. I probably would go back for wine and a small plate but not for a full meal. Atmosphere was subdued and would make a nice romantic outing.

We stumbled across this gorgeous place while looking for somewhere to eat close to our hotel (Hilton garden inn TriBeCa) this couldn't have been a better discovery! The service was outstanding, all of the wait staff were attentive and could answer any questions with ease. The food was delicious, we had specials which were reasonably priced and good portion sizes. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, I would definitely go back if I were to visit this neighbourhood again.

We were seated in the basement with a room to ourself for a while. I loved the small plates, such as grilled octopus, short ribs etc., very good value

I went to terra on a friday evening. Two girlfriends and I, hadn't meet in more than a year so we had plenty to converse. The menu was brought to us and we ordered three starters pargimggiana eggplant with grilled goat cheese, octopus salad and artichoke hearts. For drinks we had 2 mojitos and 4 rose wines. The check was approximately $ 145. The food was fairly good but all dishes tasted the same since the cook used a garlic-basil-roasted tomato sauce. The atmosphere was good too, except for this french waiter with a long beard who was very rude since we first arrived. When ordering he said: -is that all you are going to order? Then he was very incisting having us to order more food, which we didn't wanted to. The place is called Terra Wine Bar, so we were have a Mojito and several wines to pear with some dishes, as you are expected to do in a bar, but for him probably we didn't represent the spending Wall Street CEO type of costumer he would've desired. The harassment got worst after we finished eating, (I have to admit we had the table for more than an hour), but anyways, we had ordered food and drinks and were still talking but he didn't respect. The foreigner waiter came to us and said he needed the table cause there were customers waiting for it. It was disconcerting and very uncomfortable. We had just ordered another round of drinks and our glasses were half full but he made them seem half empty. Besides, there were no people cuing and there were two empty tables available near ours. Though we ignored him, he gave us no option and came with the check. Therefore he either didn't liked us, which is surprising cause I was accompanied by two beautiful girls, or he had a bad day, but the thing is he made unpleasant our experience in Terra Wine Bar and I will never step foot in that place again. Perhaps the french waiter never learned that in the USA there's the expression: Customer is always right. Neither he learned that when you are a client the minimum you expect is to be treated as one with politeness and at least to pretend a good attitude. I strongly recommend visitors not to go to this place. It made me feel as a totalitarian regime with the waiter as a dictator. The worst thing is I didn't wanted to leave any tips but when he brought the check it was already included in the balance. Very discouraging experience.

Setting is beautiful but service poor and food very average gave out order, starter arrived then told we hadn't ordered our main, pasta dishes arrived no offer of Parmesan ravioli dish bland

We enjoyed our al fresco lunch outside. It felt like an authentic Italian sidewalk restaurant. The food was good overall, though the pasta e fagioli was more a bean purée with a couple pieces of pasta. The beet side dish was great.

Food was great; the server sadly was too busy to really pay much attention to us. We jad to chase him one too many times (4 too many times actuay). So...we skipped after dinner drinks and dessert and dropped the tip by 5%. Would have been $70 more in revenue and around $25 more in tip. I hope someone there actually cares, but as they are new and busy, I doubt they will.

Lovely tables outside, not sure why it is indicated as a place with communal tables as I didn't see any. The food was good, some of the plates are a bit "wannabe" italian, their cuisine is not 100% authentic. I thought service could be better, I had to chase waiters more than once to get a plate for the shells of my clams. I don't know, it just annoys me when so much of the bill goes to tip waiters, one would like a better service sometimes, that's all. Nice wine list, though, quite representative of some of the best wines we have in Italy. I think it would be an ideal pick for a romantic date.

On our way back to the UK from Montana we stopped over in New York to relax and soak up everyday NY experiences. Food as ever plays a huge part our day. Breakfast in Blooms Deli was good but not as good as it used to be! Lunch in The Loeb Boathouse in Central Park was chaotic and disappointing. Dinner in the Korean district was superb but as first timers it took a bit of working out but we got there and went back for more but to a different restaurant - well worth trying! So to Terra. After a long emotional day visiting The National September 11 Memorial & Museum we went in search of various cocktail bars and restaurants that I had researched and wanted to visit. They had moved, closed or changed hands so we were walking round aimlessly looking for something different. We had walked passed this restaurant when for no other reason than the vibe we double backed and got a seat at the counter. The food was superb, tasted fresh, well cooked and presented beautifully. We drank cocktails and a few glasses of red wine. The service and advice was excellent with everyone contributing too a simply superb meal. The CRAIC was fantastic, the most fun restaurant we were in all week in fact one of the best experiences we have ever had. The perfect fun meal out with atmosphere, charm and character. Italian food cooked as it should be. Just amazing! What else - reasonably priced and next to a subway station.

We visited Terra halfway through a long walk back to the hotel, we popped in to have a drink and a bar snack, we ended up staying much longer and ate more than we planned. We were there early evening and there were plenty of free seats and we saw the restaurant fill up quickly as the evening progressed so it is a popular place. You can order wine by the glass, carafe or bottle and there are a good selection of cocktails. The menu has a lot of choice. We sat at the bar and chose from the Chiccetti (small dishes) selection, these were all priced at 12 USD, the tuna tartare was exceptional. The wine list is nice but some of the better Italian wines are expensive especially compared to what we would pay in europe (but I guess that is to be expected) Definitely worth a visit!

Got a couple of glasses of wine - great place to do that. My wife and I wanted some good wines and we tried this

This is one wine bar worth a visit. Hidden in between 2 bars in TriBeCa this is one spot where Italian tapas with great wine is a must. Great value for money too. Dishes can easily be shared between 2. We ordered an array of dishes plus some sides. Staff are attentive and friendly! If back in New York I'll be coming back again.

The combination of Barolo wine and truffle pasta!!! Taste of heaven!!! Great service and wonderful Soho athomsphere. The kids also loved it. Looking forward to come again.

Incredible selections of wine, great service, and a solid atmosphere for friends, family, and first/second/ or even third dates ;)

Amazing food, great atmosphere, wonderful wine selection! Excellent place for dinner and drinks. My wife and I shared the Caesar Salad, she had the Wildmushroom Fettuccine with Truffle Oil and I had the Traditional Bolognese. All was deliciously! Highly recommend.

Terra is a gem. Although they call their selections "small portions," they re substantial. Three of us ate there for lunch - a cozy European bistro environment with the best coffee I have had In 20 years. The octopus may have been the best ever. The pasta was just too good. We ere all eating off each others plates. The only bad choice was the beet salad - just chopped beets - totally unimaginative, compared to the beet salad the day before in a NY cafeteria with apples and sliced grapes. However,Terra is a restaurant that I can't wait to revisit again very soon

Went to dinner with a colleague hoping to seat outside. The restaurant is in the corner of Franklin, West Broadway and Varick so seating outside is very spacious and away from the street. Unfortunately they take reservation only for 4 and up so we walked in and no room outside. Inside was very noisy lots of energy - most people coming right out of the office. Food was great. Got Tuna tartar and Eggplant cheese for appetizers both were very tasty. Got Branzino with spinach which was great. Wine list is limited but service was great.

I visited Terra for a quick and quiet lunch between meetings. I was looking for heathy but interesting and unarguably tasty options and they did not disappoint! The special that day was a Mango and soft cheese salad that I absolutely loved! Good option for a quick bite of you are near Franklin the 1train stop.

Had a great time at Terra - enjoyed the great wines and food was solidly above average - Arrive is very inconsistent - not sure there is a floor manager or someone to oversee the flow Mishmash of servers “sort of “ keeping an eye on table - Had to continually flag down someone to order another bottle of wine - or even get bread served! The setting is great - go with friends who are there for each other’s company and relax - the service has to improve and I hope it will - they have a winning situation with concept and feel of the room but the service will do them in! C’mon guys - step up the game!!!!

My boyfriend and I were great fans of this place before tonight. We reserved a table for 2 tonight and i am sorry we waste our night out at Terra. We arrived at 8.45PM - no outdoor seating due to the weather but inside there was plenty of space. At arrival one waiter and his supervisor who told us the restaurant was closed. We explained we had a reservation and the restaurant clearly was open given that a couple was eating inside. The supervisor had us in and led us to the table telling us to hurry because we had to be out by 10PM. Not the warmest welcome ever but ok. Rushed into ordering we get a great bottle of Nero d'Avola, one appetizer to share and 2 pasta entrees. We didn't get the chance to finish a glass of wine that he was already pouring another, he kept slamming the door, wondering around all slouchy and visibly stoned (at least I hope this was it!!). At 9.10PM, already gobbled with out appetizer and just starting to dig into our entree, we got the check on the table. "take your time" he says (already wearing his coat). At 9.15PM he comes for the credit card. Exhausted we told him we weren't ready yet (half bottle of wine was on the table and food still on the plate)...it was still 9.15PM. We showed our disappointment so after he mumbled something in english he went back to his post from were he started to insult us in italian (we are italian) as a stoned person would do to start an argument. Long story short we had him call his manager but no luck there as we just got redirected to an email address that probably no one will ever read...we went out for dinner to relax and ended up paying for a dinner we barely ate and get all rattled just because of the wrong person in the wrong place.

Great little spot for a drink and a snack. Highly recommend the Carciofi e Olive. The oysters are good, but not great. Service was great.

Italians can be complicated, though their food is not, that is authentic Italian food. Terra is authentic handmade pastas! Tribeca you would assume expensive- not Terra! $12 for all apps that are hearty and interesting like the Tina tartar was amazing, beef meatballs and fresh burrata cheese surrounded by prosciutto- cured perfectly. The pastas are an extensive choice- I ordered tagliatelle with wild boar it was delicious! Oh, all pastas are $14. Sides of brussel sprouts and sautéed spinach are $8. The bread is amazing too!! Great atmosphere and liveliness! Fun place- groups especially!

This place was recommended by a friend who lives locally, so we stopped in while on a pre-Valentines weekend in NYC. It was busy, but we were able to get a table for two immediately as a walk-in on a Saturday night. The wine list as you'd expect is extensive and also excellent. I had a very good Chianti available by the glass. My wife had Prosecco, also great. Food is classic pasta dishes, cooked very well, balanced flavours and sensible portions. The atmosphere was intimate with mostly small tables, wine bottles make up most of the decor and candlelight completes a couple-friendly ambiance. Highly recommended.

Terra has become a neighborhood staple for my wife and I. If you are looking for consistent service, quality food at a good price, Terra is your spot. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the staff is great. I highly recommend Terra, especially as we make our way into the colder months!

I could think of many other ways to spend my money than to go to Terra Wine Bar. The food was overpriced and the service was a real disaster. Our main courses took 1 hour to come out! We then argued with a rude French manager that would not own up to his mistake. Overall a very disappointing experience of what was supposed to be an enjoyable evening. I strongly advice against this restaurant.

An open air restaurant with a neighborhood feel- it felt like being in an Italian neighborhood. The wine selection is great and the food- bellisimo! Delightful Italian staff.

Yesterday, me and the homie came here fresh out of an immersive experience called "Destination Cosmos" that really just turned out to be a 45-minute NASA propaganda piece. Wouldn't recommend, but Terra was there to ease the pain of our shared trauma. We sat outside and shared a bottle of Chianti (obviously) and the Rosemary Parmesan Fries. Nothing quite like a good fries and wine combo, it's just so dynamic. Jamal Murray and Jokic-esque. They serve water in a former Bulleit Bourbon Whiskey bottle and I couldn't have been more impressed with a seemingly innocuous detail. I don't know. Good glassware gets me, it's the little things. When I lived in Tribeca, I frequented Terra often as it is a tasteful ambiance without being over the top. It really feels to me like an Italian Tapas place, and what more could you ask for in this life? It is also reasonably priced. The words "reasonably priced" and "Tribeca" rarely go hand in hand, so thank you Terra. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__

We had a party of seven and everyone loved their meal at Terra! We sat in the basement at a family style table and ordered lots of different dishes for the group to share and our own dish for dinner. We loved everything, especially the lobster ravioli. The portions were just the right size to share and were all reasonably priced. We would go back again.

Walking around we came to this nice restaurant from the outside. It was nicer inside so we are glad we went in. Burrata with ham and tomato (a little extra tomato would not hurt), gamberi all' alio e oleo, and gamberoni with artichokes were the shared starters. All very good. Main dishes were mac and cheese, fettuccini with mushrooms, radicchio and girgola salad (very good but it is a small portion), spaghetti with seafood and some shrimp or lobster stuffed pasta. All was excellent and very tasty. Waiters and other personnel were very helpful and friendly. Creme brûlée were just OK. The coffee was very good. Quality/price was very good. If you are around or want to try good italian food you won't be disappointed.

It is so disappointing when you get into a so called Italian restaurant and get a food which is not Italian at all. The pasta was overcooked and the sauce tasted like it came from the supermarket. When we told them that the pasta should be "al dente", they told us that it was impossible since they worked with fresh pasta !!!!!!! Really ???? !!! The veal was tasteless and with an artificial flavor. We asked for replacement and they bring us a salad which was fine. The place is nice and charming but the waiter was quite rude. Unfortunately a place to avoid ! Money wasted !!

The worst....3times---2x were totally the ABSOLUTE worst. ..Even tonight, Iried.....11/10/2024.....they suck in customer service as it is mostly INCOMAPENTENT T ake out

Once You (if you can) get past the snooty maitresse d' you can find a nice selection at $10 each of big portions of 'cicchetti' (Venetian-style snacks - nicer than Spanish tapas). Or go for the pasta, meatballs or gnocchi. A sensational specialist wine-list supplements those choices that are also offered by the glass, half or full bottle of white, rose or red on a little slate on your table. You circle your choices on the paper menu and hand it to your server. Outside tables seem to be reserved for 'beautful people' only. So look sharp if you want one of those! The inside decor features some of their reserve wines and hams. Funky, baby! Immediately adjacent to Franklin Street subway (Line 1)

Great Italian food blending in with al sorts of people. Topically a young NYC crowd but mixed up with friends (female and male groups) couples and what seems to be colleagues. Staff could be slightly more responsive but it didn't change my overall agreement with the charming interior.

We stopped by here one day as we were walking past to have a quick bite to eat. The food was really tasty, the wine menu extensive and the service was fantastic. Would really recommend this!

Everything about Terra is at the top! We started out with Strawberry Mojitos so expertly made that they inspired us to highlight them for appetizers at our next dinner party. The choice of wine was expansive and impressive. The food was outstanding and the menu was laid out in a comprehensive way with set price points per category which is very convenient. We had some of the best bolognese that we ever tasted on top of the freshest pasta. The homemade bread was to die for as it is baked in a very rustic style. The atmosphere is very romantic and has a very downtown NYC vibe. By the time we left around 8 it was packed! Don’t miss an evening at Terra. PS above and beyond! We live in CT and left our bags in the restaurant. When I called, they said no worries, they will mail it to me!

Been a number of times for business and taken my family once. The food is good, and at times really good, but it's the atmosphere/vibe that bring us back. The service is fine, especially if you sit in bar area where it's much easier to get the attention of the bartender or waitstaff.

Very friendly service kn this cozy Italian wine bar. They serve also gluten free pizza & pasta. We had gluten free and normal pizzas snd all of us loved the food.

we wanted to go for a glass of wine before our dinner across the street but they said it was full for dinner so we stopped back for dessert. Good wine & cocktails, good dessert, wonderful atmosphere! Fun, cool.

This is our "go to" place in New York, we live close by and have found the food always consistent and delicious and the staff friendly. Always busy however, packed any night of the week so go early and expect it to be noisy.

It was a good setup for an afternoon business meeting. The place was not crowded (yet) and the service was fast and cordial. The have a good wine selection which you can order by the glass or by the bottle. After the meeting we stayed for an early dinner which was much less exciting. I would stay with the wine.
Good wines and small plates to taste variety, great for appetizers , pre dinner
this is a very cool venue overlooking, bikes metro station and tribeca. the key is that it includes many small plates going from pastas to fish. the italian wine selection by the glass is very good. the food is not italian to die for but the combination of a nice venue, good atmosphere and view are .
