After a horrid one night stay elsewhere, this hotel was a dream. Very high ceilings, the most beautiful shower and sink area I've ever seen. (Friends on Facebook swooned.) Loved the location right across from the public library, at Fifth Avenue and Library Way. The restaurant was fantastic. Do not miss Murray's burrata, with charred pumpkin spice marshmallow and spiced pepitas, and the crusty potato bread with fine EVOO. Spectacular view, fabulous, extremely helpful staff. I've been all over the world, and this compares favorably with Park Hyatt, Sydney, as my all-time favorite hotel. I would return in a heartbeat.

My colleagues and I were looking for a place to grab a few drinks after dinner. The Bar at Andaz was the perfect spot. With a great atmosphere (speak easy like with a basement entrance) and an impressive menu of drinks, it was exactly what we were looking for. Although a little pricey, it’s to be expected in NYC. I’ll definitely go back.

Plenty of staff who all choose to ignore you. After lengthy wait with no-one serving but 6 staff all looking at me and chatting amongst themselves I walked through closed section and asked if anyone serving. Was told they would find the girl who should be at counter. After a further unacceptable wait at the counter and still no-one came forward we decided to vote with our feet. There is something serious amiss here where staff expect 18-20% tip and offer ZERO service. Service levels generally in NYC have declined but this is worst we have experienced in last two weeks. AVOID!!!!!

I had lunch here and was disappointed by the amount of time I had to wait for the food and the food itself. It wasn't terrible or anything but I expected more (for those curious as to which dishes I ordered, those were the vegetarian ones).

I️ am a foodie and frankly a picky one! Give me amazing food and wine and I’m like a pig in mud! I️ have eaten the gnocchi here as a special before. This time with butternut squash and lobster! The dish melted in my mouth and my tastebuds danced! The wine the have fantastic by the glass! Service is always excellent which explains my recent Bill Murray sighting while eating here!

I checked into this Midtown Hotel and was very pleased about the size and decor of the rooms. One thing that made my trip more enjoyable, was the personal attention and hospitality of Sam, the front office manager. He was quick to listen , fast to respond and helpful at every step.

Have previously enjoyed visits to this bar, liking its atmosphere, service, and drinks. A visit in January 2024, post-theater, had us asking "what happened?" The establishment was empty upon our arrival, which contributed to a less-than-awesome atmosphere. Furniture was past its prime--the chairs were chipped and one was wobbly. The cocktails were still okay, but the service was not pleasant. It was clear staff just wanted to leave. After spending $150 on cocktails, five minutes before the bar was set to close, the bar staff turned on all of the lights brightly...as if to say "get out." So we did. And I doubt we'll return.

Staying in the hotel here, we were offered a breakfast, It was good the food comes out in little pans its tasty and flavoursome, some of the staff were very nice its always nice to find out where people are from etc. It has a cozy areas and also seating on the window looking at passing traffic on 5th Avenue

Wanted a nice breakfast my first morning in New York after a few days of eating traditional US breakfast staples this was exactly what was needed. I had avocado on toast which came with some chilli and coriander and twist of lime. Very fresh and wholesome it was excellent. I would like to go back to see what eating lunch or dinner there would be like, but would also go again for breakfast. Very subdued atmosphere, it was a welcome escape from the noise outside on 5th. Staff were attentive and helpful. Would recommend.

I love Andaz for a business breakfast in midtown. It is right across from the library and is quiet and delicious. The service is very good. The eggs in the skillet with tomatoes is my personal favorite and the little pots of coffee and the bread is yummy as well. Quality bacon too. If you need a low key midtown spot to meet someone in the morning, this one is a winner.

This was a great little hotel with excellent service and nice cozy rooms. I loved the "free" access to the mini bars and happy hours. The location was perfect as it is fairly close to many of the lines. I would definitely choose this hotel before many others that are available.

We heard about this through word of mouth and I think that is how it was designed. In spite of some expected surprise the bar still manages to surprise you even more by it's size, decor and atmosphere! Very visible cooking and mixing of drinks! Great place to go for a before dinner drink or if you want to have a light dinner.

Had the pot skillet Scramble and it was amazing, when I asked for coffee I got espresso and realized I have to ask for drip coffee or else I get the strong stuff

Fifth Avenue, from 42nd down to 34th and below had been heading downscale for a long time. Now, fewer schlock stores with perpetual going out of business sales. There are signs of some gentrification and I'm glad to see a little uplift in style and substance, not just generic store chains although there is plenty of that. .I'm always skeptical about eating at hotels in this country, but Hyatt tends to do better than most of our mid-range Hotel chains. We were in Manhattan on a Sunday, on the late side for lunch and decided to duck out of the teaming tourist crowds on Fifth Avenue. Andaz is one of their newer brands, aspiring to be boutiquish and distinctive. The restaurant space is soothing, once you get past a makeshift thin door. There are tall and narrow glass windows, some dark woods and marble/granite and waiters and waitresses dressed in black. On Sunday, it's a brunch blend of lunch and breakfast offerings. We opted for egg and waffle dishes along with mugs of black coffee. The dishes were tasty, a bit creative and a tad pricey. It's expensive real estate, and the location across from the New York Public Library deserves the upgrade. We were satisfied and willing to pay the tariff for a somewhat quieter and less overrun space. I'm not sure if we would be there for dinner, but it is a viable breakfast and lunch venue.

The food and the drinks were delicious. I was able to try multiple dishes while there, each was as delicious as the previous. The bartenders were very friendly and made excellent cocktails as well as made very good meal recommendations. The atmosphere was very cool and it was a great experience.

Took three meals hear during a weekend stay. The staff were all wonderful---one better than the next. Plenty of healthy dining options. Recommend the frittata for breakfast.

We went for dinner after the theatre and were very surprised that the place was not hopping on a Thursday night and that they had run out of many of the courses. The cheese selection was a choice of 3 but they only had 5 cheses left to choose from. they were sold out of 2 of the main courses so the pickings were limited. the food itself was only ok and I was expecting so much more form a restaurant in mid town NYC! I will say the flan was unexpectedly amazing though, very light and flavourful. Don't go out of way to go to this place there are too many outstanding restaurants in NYC to go somewhere mediocre!

My son and I went there for lunch. He had a shrimp quinoa risotto that was excellent. I had the smoked trout salad and it was awesome! I will definitely go back next time I am in NYC.

We've been looking for a good dinner location on a Saturday night in NYC...our hotel was only one block away and we found this place by just walking around. What should I say, I'd go there again anytime! The service was great, friendly and caring and the food was awesome! We've had some meatballs and mussels as starters to share and we're impressed by the quality of the sauce and the stock the mussels have been cooked in. It was just perfect! Then we've had Lobster Roll and some their gras fed burger...just awesome juiciness. The Cheesecake for desert is a must have! Fresh, full of flavor and simply delicious. If you're looking for good food in Midtown Manhattan, this could be interesting for you!

Just stayed here a couple of nights. It feels brand new. It’s on a VERY noisy street. The rooms are nice but it’s all too clever. Glass see through cupboards for hanging stuff in and then knocking into when you get up in the night to find the bathroom! Good ac. This is where I wish TripAdvisor allowed 3.5 stars. It’s not average, but it’s not very good either!

I have not eaten in the restaurant since I stopped staying at this hotel. That being said they moved it downstairs to the cellar. I ate here this morning for breakfast. I am not thrilled with it being underground. I understand that it does make it more room then upstairs, however, it is dark. The good the food is still great as is service. I had the avocado toast which was cooked exactly like i prefer it.

We were walking back from the Pope's Mass at MSG and happened upon The Shop (divine intervention!). Atmosphere is very zen and the NYC Library across the street had a multitude of votive candles decorating their outside staircase - a perfect NYC evening! We shared an Arugula, Fig flatbread small plate that was drizzled with a tasty Balsamic reduction - delicious! Main entree of Salmon was flavorful and cooked to the requested doneness. An main entree of Stripped Bass with Fennel and Kale was also delicious and nicely presented. Attentive and professional wait staff and a nice choice of wine by the glass made for a special though impromptu evening meal! We plan to return.

This was an incredible hotel. I loved our room, the view was great. We could look out and see the New York Library. It was very quiet and the shower was amazing. Loved the location, you could walk to all of the hot spots in New York and still be close to your hotel. The restaurant was great, and I really loved how everyone was smiling and so helpful.

The ingredients were impeccably sourced, fresh and very carefully and effectively prepared. The service was excellent. The atmosphere is very nice. Overall an excellent dining experience. My only complaint is the wine list is limited and on the expensive side. Seems ti clash with the menue price wise.

We love 5th Avenue Andaz. Right by Bryant Park, NY Public Library and walking distance of Time Square and Central Park! Their breakfast is the best. Wine at 5 and expresso coffee when check in! We visit once a year and our most look forward to trip!

Our favorites here are the Paella, the grilled octopus, and the flan. I visited with 3 kids, and they declared it "their favorite restaurant ever." They are still talking about the free fruit drinks they got hand-made by the bar for them. Every time I visit NYC I will come by here for dinner. I highly recommend.

Have to find it like a speakeasy - doors open and totally cool setting. Everything feels scattered but spacious. We stopped for after dinner drinks and ended up with dessert. Cool spot to hang in between things to do - can be romantic if you get the right spot and stay there all night in a dark, cozy place

Andaz Hotel is a perfect one. Sort of a boutique hotel, it provides you with all the amenities you expect from 5 star hotels. When you arrive at the premises, during the check in, you are offered a complimentary drink, and given a personalized assistance, which is remarkable. No matter you travel on your own or with some company, it is an affordable place with very nice rooms and a great gastronomy.

Fresh and delicious, Andaz 5th ave was a rare treat in the middle of my day. I had no idea it was here. If you don't want to grab food at Whole Foods and eat at Bryant Park but want a more luxurious sit down, here's where to take someone!

Extremely good breakfast items that really give you a good start to the day. Love the Bircher Muesli (as a Swiss person) and can thoroughly recommend the egg dishes as well as the French Toast. Very good and nice staff.

We stayed for a week at the Andaz and ate breakfast every day at The Shop. Service is excellent especially if you are lucky to get Justina. They have gluten free toast. We had dinner one night and there was a lovely soup and decent fish.

The food is modern/hearty and good. The place is a little loud and the service a little lousy, on the slow side and not too friendly, but overall acceptable. The location and view towards the Library are great.

This was my second trip to the Andaz. The Bar Downstairs and Kitchen offers fine breakfast options: My egg white omelet was first rate. Service is fast and friendly. I will be back.

Pros: The location of The Shop is very convenient, located near Grand Central. Ambiance is pleasant. Many of their ingredients come from local farms and providers. Cons: The brunch menu which is served until 4 p.m. Has extremely limited selection for non-breakfast items.prices are very height. $15 for yogurt with fruit. Our server was rude and poorly informed. She was impatient with any inquiries made. Befor example, when asked what kind of fruit was in the seasonal fruit plate, she answered mixed fruit.

Nice place on 5th Ave just on the other side of the Library. We have been there for Breakfast. Good choises. Friendly personnel.

Very nice property on 5th ave, close to main attractions. Excellent staff. Nice, spacious and modern rooms with high ceiling and big shower. Crispy clean with nice small touches like free snacks, soft drinks in the minibar and coffee/tea and wines in the evening. Highly recommended. Will come back for next stay in Manhattan.

This is the second Andaz I've stayed in. I'm a "Diamond for life" GP member. I stay over 200 nights in hotels per year. I have no real idea what makes Andaz so different. But there is "just something". The layout, the "open intimacy" of standing actually in the kitchen or the bar - even the layout of the bathrooms. But - in fact - I do know the difference. It's the staff. Bricks and mortar fade and date. Attitude does not. The staff should be very very proud of your demeanour, teamwork and commitment to sorting things out. Honestly? All hotels should be like an Andaz. Will come back anytime. I can.

I had went to this spot to take myself and my family for dinner. We do not eat meat so we decided to order Salmon. All of our orders were "well done" which did not allow us to enjoy and when we complained to the waitress, we were informed that unfortunately they do not have any more salmon to replace for all of us. All 3 of us did not get to enjoy the dinner, left hungry and were not offered any discount/refund since we gave back all 3 of our dishes. Disappointing experience!

Good food but slow kitchen probably due to the crowd when we were dining. Although it is fine for convenient dining here, there are also so many other options right outside the hotel. We even had a delivery from a restaurant in Korea town 10 blocks away.

A bit dark and they always have the music too loud (the place has a din all it's own once the crowd piles in), but close to work for me and a good spot to grab drinks. The restaurant in the hotel Andaz upstairs always delivers a good meal. Just wish they'd take reservations, esp at lunch.

A very nice place for breakfast in a central location. Food is excellent, made of fine and tasteful, quality ingredients. Coffee is smooth and with an excellent mild taste.Possibly the best I had for a long time in NY. The restaurant is spacy and full of light so you feel relaxed and comfortable. Service is friendly and attentive (in general). A little pricy, expect to pay around 30 USD per person. Quickly becomes busy in the morning so you may want to try and be there not much later than 8 AM.

Went to the Shop two nights in a three night stay. On Sunday night we had horrible service. I mean the kind of service where it looks like they are angry you came. No hello, no their name, no coming around and of course - having to chase them to get the check. Really slow - really bad - one star. And is was a slow night at the restaurant! However the food (particularly the appetizers were great). Went back - and had wonderful service (after giving the host the heads up about Sunday). The Sunday staff was no where to be seen. Service was great and the food again outstanding. Meatballs, mushroom pate and the ricotta/spinach flatbread were to die for. The only non-recommended is the overpriced and limited cheese plate. Which on Sunday they did not bother to tell us what the cheeses were. Do not go on SUNDAY.

Place is incredible, as well as their tapas style food. It definitely needs a bigger bar area though to stumble upon and be a regular.

I loved every aspect of the food, drinks and atmosphere. The only wrinkle keeping them from being perfect was the booking process. I tried to book a table because I was expecting 10 people. As it was drinks/dinner we were getting there at opening time. They wanted to charge me USD 800 plus 250 per hour to reserve the table. I worked out this was more than what we would eat and drink so I said no. Eventually this came down to USD 600 and no extra required per hour. However I found the starting point excessive and the need to negotiate annoying. All I wanted to do was to book a table for drinks and dinner. By the way, they were not close to full at any point. I could have turned up and not had any minimum. I will go back but I will never try to book again because it struck me as a bit rich.

Delicious breakfast place of Hyatt hotel, with impressive choice of delicious meals: perfdct sunny side up eggs, very good pop's skillet, delicious frittata, perfectly served avocado toast. Add to it a large choice of original juices and very good coffees and it becomes a place of choice to start a long day.

I was there 2 days before the New York marathon. Service is very friendly and professional. Food: Excellent taste, well cooked, just to the point. Beverages: Huge selection of wines and beer. Overall: Doesn't matter if you stay at the hotel or not. Worth a visit. I will come back.

Brunch is from a varied menu and has a number of options that are breakfast or lunch related. the coffee is great and the service is fast. the food is good as well

Every item on this menu is splendid! Glad there were a dozen of us in our party who ordered all different things! Confirmed good food! Quite pricey but it's what you would expect from a trendy place along Fifth Avenue between Grand Central Terminal and Bryant Park. Beautiful art on the walls, cozy lighting and color scheme. Adjacent bar could be noisy and toilets are quite a ways inside the hotel.

Good food and the muffins are exceptional! The service was ok although the waitress serving us seemed to be in a mood and did not smile at all. Expensive for what it was though...$150 for brunch for 3 seemed too much in my mind.

Stayed there in Summer with grandkids and were placed in a penthouse suite that was simply fabulous, overlooking the Library. Wanted to see what a "normal" room was like. Obviously it was smaller, but well decorated and in the same decor as the larger room. Marvelous bath/showers in both rooms (including the unusual "foot shower"!) Very hi-tech TV/website arrangement, however, the only comfortable seating in the room faced 180 degrees away from the TV, making watching a requirement that you recline on the bed. Major flaw. Pricing probably not exorbitant for NYC, but more reasonably priced rooms are probably available at the nearby Grand Hyatt (same hotel chain). But if you want a very personable accommodation with great and friendly staff, try here. Entrance is on 41st, making navigation there in NY's "No Turns"at corners restraints a bit of a challenge if you are driving.

Glamorous: yes, good looking:yes, nice atmosphere: check, but not much more, perhaps, can add nice wine list. Grossly overpriced, service is very mediocre. Tuna appetizer was nothing to write home about, and so was scallop. Just nothing to justify prices. We were seated, only after hostess made sure we would order enough food, otherwise, she suggested to go to overcrowded bar downstairs. Don't like upsell! Ended up with 3 glasses of wine and two appetizers for over $100. Not satisfying, to be honest! I would skip this place next time.

We decided to stay at Andaz 5th Avenue for 11 nights, a loft suite, expecting our stay would be great and comfortable.. Unfortunately, this is only our first day, and our safe box wasn't working so someone extremely rude, with an attitude problem came to fix it and left.. He leaves and just a few minutes later, the safe stops working again, and we asked guest services to send someone to fix it again after getting back from dinner.. Same guy along with another guy, again rude with an attitude came to work on it, working unprofessionally, even knocked on the door and got in without permission, even though I told him to wait a minute.. 35 minutes chit chatting and laughing, and in the end, tells me it works and that if it stops working then he can't do anything until next day! This was all unacceptable, from them not fixing the safe properly, to being rude, to getting into the room without permission.. All an inconvenience.. We are really disappointed and we wish we could have chosen a better hotel to spend at, because this one is not worth the value we are paying for.. ON DAY ONE!

This is the restaurant in the Andaz. The space is very nice, and the service was quite good: friendly and attentive. My egg white omelet was unusually good too.

Our UK group of 16 stayed at The Andaz for two days at the end of the Great Winter Storm. The Shop did a great job with the food & the service at breakfast & for our wrap up lunch. Our first stay back in April 2016 was a poor to average experience. Now The Shop is fully working & I recommend it for breakfast of lunch.

To get to the bar, you have to ask for directions because it is definitely hidden and there is no signage....or just follow the noise. Once inside, the hostess will walk you to your communal table. Yes - you can't pick, they'll pick for you within the communal table. The chairs for the communal table look like high chairs for grown ups. The lounge/couch area is small and packed. Noise during peak hours and quiet during off. The open kitchen and bar are not separated by glass like any other open kitchens I've seen. Bathrooms are located outside the bar. The crowd is your typical young or "feeling" young after-hour business type. Of course no kids, not elderly, no introverts.

Stopped in once while staying at the Andaz. It was so wonderful, went back on another visit to Manhattan. They have tapas-style food, but the point of the place is luxurious, artistic libations. I LOVE the one-giant-ice-cube drinks and the menu of bitters. The menu is a gas to read. Recommend: Red Rock Summit Double Cross Although their menu changes frequently so who know if they still make these. I'm sure the bartenders are flexible enough to oblige.

Nice bar well hidden in the basement of Andaz 5th avenue, with a good choice of cocktails and drinks and pretty loud crowd and music. I liked the design with several large communal tables but, to be fair, quite limited privacy.

Architecturally beautiful, but the worst service I ever had! I was never really been treated like this. In Bolivia and Paraguay, I had better service than this

We found this place on-line by searching for "best breakfast places in Manhattan". The website said that it was a little known restaurant inside the Andaz (Hyatt chain) Hotel on 5th Avenue. We decided to try it. All four of of us ordered a different breakfast and all were thrilled with our meal. The food was WONDERFUL!!!! I had a lemon soufflé pancake with orange poppy seed syrup. It was as different as it was delicious. We will all definitely go back the next time that we are in NYC.

Great spot if you're around midtown Manhattan. Nice service, nice cocktails, nice food vibe. Inviting atmosphere.

Each meal has its charm, the staff is always great and the Chef aims to please. I don't always want to run around town to get a great meal and luckily this hotel delivers really good and creative food right downstairs. So often in hotels you feel ripped off in the restaurant, so often the kitchen is not up to scratch in hotels but here....if I didn't stay here I would come to eat at The Shop anyway....trust me you will be glad you did!

Sunday morning, 10.45am front room barely half full, back room fully empty. New York has many places to dine, anywhere this disrespectful of potential paying customers deserves to come under new management. The three stars reflect our past positive dining experiences here.

I went with a former colleague out to lunch and was quickly seated. I told the waitress we had a limited amount of time for lunch and she was very efficient which I appreciated. I had the kale salad with chicken which was very good, and my friend had the turkey sandwich which she enjoyed. The food was seasonal and very fresh, a welcome change from the pub-style restaurants that dot the area.

Breakfast at The Shop was an absolute pleasure. Do not be put off, by it being inside of the Andaz Hotel. The variety is unrivalled, the cooking delicious

Second day here. Second day eating breakfast here. Such a wonderful vibe, food is tasty and service is impeccable. You gotta go here when in NYC!!

Set in a cavernous underground bar, as soon as you walk in you can see the chefs at work. It is a lively, buzzing atmosphere. Although it is a bar, it is worth reserving a place if you plan to eat as it's very popular. Our hostess was very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, with many old classic tapas amongst some new inventions. We has roasted bone marrow scooped out of the bone, the most amazingly crispy emmental croquettes and classic paella amongst other mouth watering things. Even something as simply and straightforward at the patatas braves was sublime with the crispiest skin and served with a gorgeous sauce. There is also an extensive drinks menu with a great cocktail selection. This place is a lot of fun.

Xmas Day and we were looking for somewhere to have a drink and something light to eat. We came across The Shop and walked in. Our initial reaction was negative as we were standing there for over 10 minutes before anyone came to greet us. The place was not that busy but the two waitresses, although they saw us, just ignored us. They did redeem themselves later on, however. Everything was perfect: the scallops, the charcuterie, the meatballs and the creme brûlée.

Room service delivered three orders of Avocado Toast along with coffee and fresh berries to our room. Sliced avocado on berry wheat toast with red pepper flakes. Only regret was not ordered some fresh orange juice to go with it.

While below grade and found the restaurant to be "open" and its modern decor to be quite attractive. The service was attentive and quick. The breakfast, including its presentation was very good. The value was good for mid-town Manhattan.

Staying here at the moment. Such a wasted opportunity. Location & building excellent, facilities great (gym superb), but the food is an absolute shambles. Breakfast is a disaster - I’ve had to send my toast back TWICE because it was just warm bread. Then it came back burnt to a crisp. I paid $17 for a bowl of yoghurt, etc, and the less said about the coffee (undrinkable), the better. This place could be incredible - but for GOODNESS SAKE HIRE A CHEF. And do normal evening food too - there was no food at all on Monday and last night it was just bar snacks. Such a shame.

I ate here several times because the food was generally so good. Highlights for me were the crusty potato bread dipped in EVOO, the prawn risotto, Murray's burrata with charred pumpkin and black truffle oil, beat and goat cheese salad, and brown butter ice cream. (I really loved the burrata; wish they delivered to Atlanta.)

The food is fresh , nice. Little bit expensive , the ambient is very nice , i Was expecting little bit more considering the level of the hotel

We enjoyed thanksgiving brunch at the shop. It was my second time to eat here and I remembered how good it was so decided to take the whole family. It was a great choice - yummy food, great service and classy ambiance. We had the huevos rancheros, lobster scrambled eggs, lox bagel, and lemon soufflé pancake. Everything was delicious and it was a great way to kick off our day of thanksgiving.

It is in wonderful location 5th Avenue and 41st street, right in front of New York public library. They have a cafe and restaurant section. Self service in cafe section and table service in restaurant section. nice place to rest and relax from busy New York City day.

Amazing atmosphere at The Bar Downstairs. Dark, mysterious, yet inviting. Fantastic alcohol menu with custom and classic cocktail menu. The bar food was delicious too.

Our second breakfast at the Andaz cafe this trip. The cafe which occupies the corner of 5th avenue and east 41st street, has natural light and the laid back feel you want for the weekend. We would highly recommend the scrambled eggs cooked in a skillet, the zucker bagel (delicious!), the side of bacon and the avocado toast (the equivalent of a whole avocado on whole grain toast). The lemon soufflé pancakes turned out to be one huge pancake. This would make a good dessert but was too sweet and not fluffy enough for us as a breakfast item. The coffee (by café grumpy) has a fresh floral aroma - best enjoyed as an expresso or americano we think. The cappuccino had so much milk in it, it tasted like a latte to us. Service is prompt and efficient.

First, know that you might walk by and totally miss it as the street signage is minimal. It’s down in the cellar of a hotel. But once you find it down in the cellar - you are in luck! They have a great cocktail menu, and the actual food menu is small but amazing options. Scallops, steak, chicken - something for everyone. I opted for the kale Caesar with grilled chicken. It was soooo good. The chicken melted in your mouth. It also had real anchovies. The dressing was heavenly. It’s a fun atmosphere where seating in family style. So just be prepared to sit close to people you don’t know. The service was excellent as well.

They moved the breakfast from street level to the downstairs bar. It's more space and nice but very dark. They have changed the menu some, room service menu has more choices but if you know that you can get those items as well. The food is very good and the service is nice friendly and efficient! Recommended!!!

The lobster roll was one of the best that I have ever had. The bread was extremely soft the lobster was not over dressed just absolutely delicious. I wish I could go back and have another

I came to Andaz for a private work event. It’s a nice space in an open kitchen. But it is quite warm. The passed hor d’ourves were good, but not great. The food overall was okay.

A quiet rainy Saturday night and we decided to eat in our hotel. We had flatbread, soup and risotto. All absolutely spot on. My husband is still talking about the shrimp and truffle risotto. The chef warmed the chilled asparagus soup for me because I was cold. Turns out it is delicious when heated up! Really tasty. We had breakfast here on another day and it was delicious.

Across from the NY Public LIbrary, in the basement of the Andaz Hotel, is this large space with seating at high tables, and what just comes to mind is OK. OK location, OK menu, OK service and the food was OK. If visited again it will be for it's convenient location for a casual lunch. It was not crowded, not noisey and so had a nice lunch with my business friend.

Nice small and cosy restaurant next to the NY public library. Love that place since it's very European and the small card they offer is really good. Nice salads and breads, good wines and the best of all it's not crowded during lunch time. Prices are really reasonable (18USD for a big salad nicoise). Modern and stylish interior. Good and friendly service. Perfect for lunch. Haven't tried dinner yet.

We stopped here last year for sight seeing and shopping the hotel is beautiful modern in appearance staff where friendly and helpful. The location was great across the road from the library

Close to Times Square, shopping and Grand Central. Lovely accommodations. Shared a room on a girls trip. Had a blast. Great coffee in the rooms too.

Really enjoyed the restaurant. Food was good and the employees were very nice. The restaurant is smaller and gives you a cozier feel. Fun to watch the people go by outside.

We decided to go and have brunch in this Andaz hotel bar. Wondering through the public area's, one cant help but notice the potential of this place, but that's not the feeling one gets from staff. The actually really nice food, great setting, was tainted by the obvious "this is not in my job description" attitude when asking the wrong girl to attend to queries related to our meal. With the exception of a gentleman who was exceedingly kind and the actual waitress, the different hostesses oozed indifference and to a certain extent arrogance. This is truly a shame, for based on presentation and taste, the brunch dishes should be a key argument for success! When asking for deserts, we found it a gruesome task convincing the waiting staff to give us the desert menu, arguing that it wasn't available at 2pm! In the end, through sheer perseverance, our guest managed to convince that at least a fruit salad should be possible! It's just a shame, for had it not been so ill accompanied, I most definitely would return and recommend...

You won't finish your food. There are significantly better options nearby, and it will be cheaper. Save your money.

The place is very cool. We were seated along with wall on a couch and chairs with a coffee table in the middle. We ordered a bunch of Appetizers for the table and shared them all. Drinks were great. The food was absolutely fantastic. Service was 1st class. It's not cheap...but if you are a "foody" like me....worth every penny! We ordered Lamb Meatballs, Short Ribs, Cauliflower (I hate Cauliflower but this dish was delicious!...seemed like it was smothered in cheese and yet it was a Vegan dish with NO cheese....really good), Rock Shrimp, several meats and cheeses and more. Each Appetizer was perfectly done and very tasty. We left HAPPY!!

Everything was mouthwatering and well-timed from small bites (cauliflower soup with kale and truffle, veal meatballs, buratta) to the main dishes. Burger was astounding and Prix Fixe menu was reasonable at 48+ and featured lobster pasta, wild rice with rock shrimp and fried egg, and creme brûlée. Satisfied a very picky eater in our party. Beautiful setting, very nice staff. Only reason not all 5s is that it took a bit for us to get service at first and parking is tough-can't be helped in NYC.

Love the fact restaurant offers variety of dishes that inlcude many organic ingredients. It does reflect in the flavors, its delightfull menu. Enjoyed healthy take away options

The food at the The Shop was in general very good. I had both breakfast and lunch there. It is however very expensive even for hotel dining. The wine list is nice but again expensive. Staff was fine but definetly not motivated.

Had an unexpected meal here which was purely by accident. Sat down for a glass of wine in the bar and were enticed to eat. We had planned to go somewhere else but the guy serving us said a table opened up. The service from him was great! Never an empty glass and friendly...cant remember his name but he had a bit of a beard! The food selection was limited but very good amd tasted delicious. We had NY strip amd the veal...both recommended. The atmosphere was pretty good also. This would be highly recommended!!!

Very agreable brasserie style restaurant, trendy crowd. Organic food is the motto. Large choice . All ingredients are fresh (try the shrimp ragout on a pasta bed). Good list for wines by the glass. Tasty dessert.Service is correct and friednky, no unecessary wait. Muts be tried. Breakfats in the morning is "a la carte" only but the dishes (farm ham, eggs, and sausages) are succulent. One of the best beakfast coffees I ever had).

Wait can sometimes be long but food is good. Make sure to reserve in advance. I had the avocado on toast with poach egg. Their sides like the bacon, mini bratwurst and lamb sausages are good!

Hotel itself for 4 people worked well because the bedroom area was separate so traveling with 2 kids that are adult kids made this doable. Most annoying issue and take note travelers is the vehicle restriction. We specifically asked about parking and they said they had valet so no worries. Being familiar with NY as I am, I know what and how when it comes to parking but the hotel didn't mention that unless you have med or small car, they can't help you. So if you have an SUV or pick up as we did, that is considered oversized to them and we had to deal with our own parking which after a long day of travel because of the holidays and NY traffic in general was a nightmare. Had to park blocks away and walk. Also, you are supposed to get complimentary sodas, water and snacks and that is great if they actually bring it to you. Other than that, the hotel was reasonably clean and a good location and great for guests with kids who want a little privacy in the room.

The restaurant is in a pristine location, immediately on 5th avenue next to the New York Public Library. It's convenience cannot be overstated. It's a shame that the same can't be said about the service. I think we saw our waitress once. Her coworkers took turns serving us. When she took our order she was so uninterested we had to coax her into accepting our order. The food itself was o.k. by NYC standards. The pastrami sandwich was extremely dry. It was akin to eating very crispy beef jerky. My girlfriends meal was better, where she had a goat cheese and fig flat bread. If you're desperate for food and your feet hurt from all the walking you've done, its worth a visit. If you can "stomach" walking any further I'd recommend trying something else.

Nice bar in the basement of Andaz right across NYPL. You really need to know where it is, otherwise you might miss the entrance going down. We had a group meeting up and several people missed it the first time. Decent cocktails / good bartender. Service was average - too much attitude. But overall a nice place to come for a drink.

Aaron is simply wonderful, and goes above and beyond to consistently ensure a first class experience!

Loved visiting this place for drinks and tapas. The drinks were good--above average-- but the tapas were out of this world. Get the short ribs, you won't regret it.

Andaz 5th Avenue is a restaurant on the 5th Avenue, near Public Library, serving delicious, simple foods that change with what’s at the height of the season. This spot serves breakfast and lunch daily, and brunch on the weekends. Executive Chef Daniel Mowles has designed a menu experience that offers guests an opportunity to enjoy the pleasure of food sourced from farmers and purveyors in New York City. I highly recommend the Murray’s Cheese Shop burrata, served with roasted stone fruit and balsamic, as well as Sea Salt Caramel Crème Brûlée . There’s also The Shop 'Retail' – a spin-off of the restaurant, selling coffee, cookbooks, newspapers and excellent sandwiches.

Totally nice place although not very busy which isn't a problem for me. We got the sliders and the beet salad to share. Both were excellent. My husband got a lavender cocktail and he really enjoyed it! The servers were very nice and attentive. Nice location across from the New York Public Library.

Small curate assortment of Small and large plat options paired with wine. Only complaint is the snotty receptionist who tried to persuade us that despite empty tables that we would have to wait 15 minutes for a table.....REALLY?

Wonderfully situated on 5th across from the public library, this Hyatt property is well staffed and convenient to most midtown destinations. Rooms are adequate with fantastically appointed bathrooms and lighting. The restaurant is excellent.

The quality of the food is just excellent and the coffee they serve as well. It is quite expensive but in my eyes worth the visit. The interior is also beautifully set up. One negative point was the service which took extremly long to serve us coffee.

We were staying at the Andaz 5th Ave and had a full schedule, so decided to have breakfast at The Shop. We had the pop skillet and the french toasts. Simply amazing!

Andaz New York is a below the radar gem in a great location just across the New York City Library. We upgraded to an 8th floor " view" room # 804) . It was worth it as it was huge ( by New York standards) and had an unobstructed view of the Times Square New Years Eve ball in the distance plus a large, nicely equipped bathroom. We also enjoyed all the Andaz amenities such as complementary welcome drink and free mini-bar soft drinks and snacks. Very welcoming staff and nice contemporary design.

After years of enjoying excellent cappuccino, during my last visit in November I was told the new owners took away the espresso machine. So no more visits to that place!!

This is so different from most restaurants. There is something special about the ingredients and how it has all been put together. All the healthy stuff but put together in a comfort food manner. The chicken schnitzel is a favorite for dinner. The breakfasts are delicious and the choice ranges from basic eggs to frittata with avocados and Kale and smoothies which are unusual and healthy sounding but actually quite delicious. If you like lemonade their homemade lemonade is a must. The bread comes from a well known bakery and is absolutely divine. The service is excellent, attentive and warm. I guess it is a healthy take on a deli.

Room was small and the view was horrible but had nice floorplan that made me feel like in a very posh place. Staffs were kind and welcoming. We enjoyed the free water/tea. Great loacation too, Bryant park, pulic library and LadyM!

The room is the best I have stayed in, in NYC. It is spacious but more importantly the design is fantastic to maximise every area. The result feels like a very comfortable apartment area. The evening wine/refreshment time was amazing having spent the day sightseeing and shopping. The staff are so friendly and helpful with recommendations for food etc. I always like to mention an improvement that could be made but I cannot think of one. Can't wait to come back.

My second visit to the hotel and I really like it. Compared with equals to priced hotels it's more contemporary, good sized rooms and bathroom is a great space. Bathroom not traditional layout so maybe not ideal if you are staying with a friend rather than partner. The service is good with nice touches like wine in the evening, some mini-bar soft drinks and cold water when you want it. On the downside, there isn't much space to put your clothes away. Call me old fashioned but when I'm here for a week a couple of drawers for my undies would be nice. Could do with coffee machine/ kettle in the room. Also a power socket near the mirror not in the bathroom is better for hair drying (less steam and water!) Lively bar in the basement and good restaurant for breakfast. I would have given it five if the above was better. We were also offered an upgrade on check in because the hotel was fully booked, but at an extra $75 a night it was a bit too much. I suspect someone staying for less time got a good free upgrade at the start of our stay! May sound negative but we would stay here again and it beats others like the Waldorf hands down.

Getting to the restaurant is interesting, It definitely is the Bar downstairs, You can take an elevator but walking is interesting, Décor is very nice and the food is good. It is alittle different than most and worth the visit

After a bit of searching, we found the lower level bar (just look for the signs). Great space with excellent service. A cocktail and a glass of wine coupled with a few apps was just perfect. We arrived around 6p and the bar was pretty full up but we managed to get a couple of seats at the bar. Looks to be a popular place.

It was ok - for the price it was just fine. Nothing special or exemplary about this place. The ambience - it seemed like a lot of ok cupid and paid dating interactions were happening (and afterwork ppl too) so that was weird - but the food was ok and the server was NORMAL(meaning ambivalently nice/kind) which is actually a huge complement for a NY server. SO- overall a safe dining bet with a fair price.

Elegant restaurant, beautiful ambience complete with well chosen music. Staff was not chatty but in an unobtrusive way perfectly courteous and helpful. Food...classics but with truly fine ingredients and deft execution. Simple but luscious egg dishes...toasted multigrain bread that could be a meal on its own with fresh butter and orange marmalade compote. Coffee was also a cut above.

The first night, I ordered a side vegetable with my main course because I didn't realize that a big portion of salad came with the main course. Another night I ordered soup with the main course and the bowl of soup was huge. Unless you are very hungry, just order the main course without any extras. Service is generally very good in the evenings for dinner. Breakfast, on the other hand, can be chaotic.

The breakfast was average. The atmosphere and location is perfect. The service was good. It was good to try but not like i will be back again.

If you are ever in NY traveling and get the chance to stop by this tucked away secret you are in for the BEST SERVICE you have seen. Make sure to ask for Mike or Jeff when you are here. Every time they have treated us like royalty! Don't miss out on stopping by here as you won't be disappointed!

This was my second time visiting this restaurant. However, my second experience was not as good as the first. The first time I sat at the "bar" and had wonderful interaction with one of the bartenders which made the evening enjoyable and pass by quickly. The service was excellent. However, this time I sat at one of the shared tables with a couple of friends. The service was not as good - hard to find someone at times. Also, the red wine is served a bit warm and should really be chilled and not be room temperature (it's a little warm in the place). The food was good but a little pricey. But I would still go again.

We found the staff at the Andaz to be very approachable, helpful, and professional. The rooms are very stylishly sleek and modern. Everything seemed very clean and well-cared for. I liked the water and cokes in the mini-bar were included in the room rate! They even had a small cake brought up on our last night for my husband's birthday--great attention to detail! Right across the street from the iconic NY Public Library and only a few blocks from Grand Central make this an easy to get to hotel. Only a 5 minute or less walk to Times Square. The only recommendation I have, is to check with Hyatt 48 hours prior to check in to see if the room rate has changed. We saved almost $100 by doing that!

My friends and I were going out for drinks, and found this place. Located at the Andaz hotel, it's very classy/fancy looking - great for after-work business meeting or a date. Drinks were tasty & the eats available were delish. Does get quite loud there, though (all the people + background music) - but other than that, it's a solid choice.

Business district restaurant with expensive guests and expensive dishes. Service was friendly and the food well prepared.

We discovered Andaz on a recent trip to New York City as we shopped on Fifth Avenue near 42nd street. Our lunch consisted of a crispy flatbread and a large, healthy turkey sandwich prepared with avocados and cucumbers. The restaurant catered to a mixed crowd of business people, tourists and students who were seated at tables or in the wifi area at the front of the restaurant.

Good solid place for any meal probably breakfast is the best with a lot of good options and very good coffee! Service is good and the hotel is great. A little bit pricy.

If you find yourself along the 5th Avenue corridor in midtown, The Bar could be worth checking out. It's nestled in the basement of the Andaz Hotel on Fifth, in between 41st and 42nd Street. It's pricey, but offers a cool vibe and very unique cocktails. Communal seating can provide some ice breaking for meeting new people.

This place has great potential. It's right across from the public library and attached to a truly great business hotel...the Andaz 5th Avenue. The food is solid but nothing special and the same can be said for the coffee and other drinks. Perhsps most importantly I always feel that the staff generally lack the requisite friendly, accomodating and attentive attitude that one should expect at any sit down restaurant. The attitude I feel is especially misplaced because it is in a hotel that exudes friendliness and accommodation and it's a restaurant with high prices.

My husband and I stayed at the Andaz about 5 years ago, and grabbed a drink in the bar downstairs. We recently went back because we had a gift certificate. We walked over, after seeing a show, to get a drink and an appetizer. My husband had a cocktail, which he rarely does, but they all looked so tempting. I had a beer, and we shared an appetizer. We had the fish ceviche, which was very good. Highly recommend it! The bar is dark and loud, so know that going in. Service was great. Two beers, a cocktail, and the appetizer were about @$60, without tip.

This is a small place on the corner of 5th Avenue as part of the Andaz Hotel, just opposite the City Library. The space is small & intimate but the food is definitely worth a visit. We found it difficult to find good food in Midtown amongst the overwhelming number of restaurants, cafes, diners & delis but Andaz stands out & 1 we would recommend instantly. The service was lovely, attentive without being over bearing. The food well balanced & obviously made with love.

The food was excellent. Definitely recommend the Chicken schitzel and pastas but the service really needs to get better. I've never seen a server and hostess less eager to sit us down. The coffee barista was times 10 more engaging and personable than the Shop staff.

So nice to find a classy spot that is not loud and boisterous in the heart of the mid-town business district area. The wine and beer selection are comprehensive and the small chops are exquisite. We had olives, kale crisps and a wonderful mushroom and quince pâté. Yum!

Nice cellar set up with large tables. Bit noisy but music nice. Just had fries tonight which were good but will have breakfast tomorrow.

All of the menu items are wonderful and the small plates offered in the Bar downstairs are amazing. The Chef at this hotel is very creative.

This is an absolute must visit bar. It is more suited to drinks with friends/couples rather than families with children and would even be perfect for a date! I'm not sure how well known it is in NYC but to me it feels tucked away and out of sight. Take the elevator down from the lobby of the Andaz hotel and turn right to find the entrance. At first glance it appears to be a generic door however upon proceeding through it a beautiful and atmospheric bar is revealed. It's almost speakeasy-esq. Staff are extremely welcoming and I am always made to feel as though I'm a VIP. The bar tenders will mix any type of drink you could possibly want or imagine and even if you don't know what you want... then they can give you more than enough suggestions. Appetisers here are exquisite and it's hard to choose between them. This is a very stylish and cosy venue, low lighting helps provide privacy and atmosphere. I personally prefer to sit at the bar, there is great interaction with the bar tenders and you get to be part of the action also.

We ate here both nights we were in New York and enjoyed our meals both times. We had the pasta, the burger and the lobster salad. All were very good. It was nice to find a restaurant with no wait and not as noisy and cramped as some New York City restaurants can be.

You better know it is there or you will miss it. Great atmosphere, kind of darker feel to it. Spanish tapas menu. Lived in Spain, travel there, the food was good and fairly authentic. Drinks crazy good, but for $17 they should be!

It was tough to find but once we did we were glad we persevered. It is like a speakeasy down in a basement. The furniture and decor is beautiful. The bartender, Fernando, was awesome and made our quick visit the best. Great cosmo and martini!

Great place for a catch up!! Loved loved it! Wine, cocktails and really good menu too!! More of a place to catch up after work! So busy but we were looked after!! Will go back!!

Great bar and restaurant, delish soups and staff very friendly. Drinks strong but i like it that way.

Apartment 2E - the set-up is great for socializing; there is a large kitchen with the room so you can see the chefs cook; the food is absolutely amazing! Excellent place to host your event

Location: on 5th Ave very near Bryant Park and walking distance from Times Square. Lots of shops, restaurants and bars nearby. Some rooms face 5th Ave, and those rooms can be noisy. Did not bother us. Lobby: entrance is on 41st St. check in is modern minimalist standing area. Bell staff attentive in helping with luggage. The lobby side area has comfy sofa for sitting and free coffee and tea. There’s also a a long dining table on the other side. Service: Andaz keeps track of your preference. A tea kettle and humidifier were already waiting for us in the room. Also, per all Andaz, non-alcoholic drinks stocked in the fridge and snacks are free. Room: We’re Hyatt Globalist and used our suite night awards to upgrade our room to an Andaz Suite. Definitely recommend! We got room floor-07, the room is huge (~800 sq ft). It’s near the elevator, so light sleeper beware, did not bother us. The suite has a full kitchenette (real fridge, microwave, bar sink, drawer dish washer, coffee maker). Huge 12 x10 living room with Sofa that can seat 6. Separate 10 x 10 bedroom that can be closed off with pocket doors. Very comfortably king size bed with super soft and sleek linens. Two floor to ceiling built in closets in the front hallway and another closet in the bedroom. Also a floor to ceiling set of drawers and glass shelf for clothes. Robes and slippers provided. Bathroom: one miss is the suite only has 1 bathroom (other suites of this size would have a powder room for guests). The bathroom is modern with glass counters and double sinks. Storage shelf below the sink. The shower is huge as well with both rain shower head and handheld. Standard toilet. Breakfast: free breakfast for 2 people for Globalist and can be used for room service. Awesome perk and food was excellent. Location is close to work and leisure activities. Will definitely come back here the next time we’re in NYC. Highly recommend.

We stood there waiting to be seated for 10 minutes while we watched the two females hosts chatting nowhere near the host stand. We were the only ones online waiting. Finally we were seated in the very rear of the restaurant when there were a lot of open tables in the front. Fine. We ordered and the food was less than mediocre. The food came out and even asking for cheese seemed to be a chore. It needed a lot to make it authentic, but even with all of the cheese, the bolognese tasted the way Chef Boyardee smell. I'm getting shivers thinking about it...and not in a good way. The pasta was far from al dente also. Far from anything even the worst restaurant in Bologna would expect to sell!! Other than for looking at a kitchen hunting while searching for the restroom, which seemed clean and unused, I would avoid it in search of more authentic cuisine. The server took my 1/4 eaten plate away without question as up why so little was eaten. When the bill came, I nearly fell off my chair. The prices were through the roof!! Even for NYC standards, they were ridiculous. Especially considering the quality of food served...wow. Never ever again will we go there. My stomach turns at the thought.

I was a little confused getting to the bar but I guess because I was caught up in laughter with friends but it was a nice place! Ambiance was chill I loved the look I was a little upset we got there like an 45 minutes befre last call but was able o get a few drinks in and snap pics for instagram. When I return to NYC I will go at an earlier time. I might actually stay at the Anaz also I really loved how every bit of it looked

We dined at The Shop for breakfast as we were staying at the Andaz 5th Avenue. The coffee (Australian style) was excellent but the food and service were poor. It's shame as we would have happily dined here on a daily basis otherwise as the location can't be beaten.

Good restaurant with a good menu. Staff are great. The place, though small, isn't noisy. Love the steak. Love the sides. The lobster roll was OK...not fabulous though

great vibe, friendly staff, awesome food and inventive cocktails. would reccomend to locals and tourists

All is OK, the prices are a bit high, the setup is not always optimal, but when you find a quiet spot it is a good place to enjoy a good coffee with proper food if you are in the neighborhood.

hearty breakfast and smaller breakfast side dishes available including fantastic cappuccino and croissants! the service was fantastic.

The setting is nice, service is quick and friendly, and my breakfast was very good. Prices are fairly high, though not unusually so for a high end hotel restaurant, particularly one in New York.

Had dinner and drinks with a friend - seafood paella is excellent. Appetizers were delicious. Very comfy banquettes, great ambiance. Gets crowded and doesn’t take reservations. Downstairs at Andaz Hotel, yes it is there - behind the giant door that blocks out the noise from the bar. Great place to meet friends and have a meal.

We highly recommend you to go to The Shop! This place is awesome! They had a really good Salmon with bagel! We loved loved it! In addition, the jams were pretty good too. We will definitely try the Orange Pancakes on out next visit :)

Great lobster omelettes on potato bread. Nice atmosphere, cozy and quiet. Amazing rasberry ice cream with fresh rasberry.

Great decor and location right across from the library/bryant park. Great for a quick bite and coffee, or lemonade. I had an egg sandwich with avocado and it was perfection! Only issue is it's crowded, though I still found a spot by the window to sit and eat.

The restaurant at the Andaz has a great schnitzel for dinner but their breakfast is also amazing. The skillet with eggs and chorizo is scrumptious and the bacon is so memorable. Great menu, friendly wait staff!

If your looking for an overpriced restaurant with loud thumping music, poor service, uncomfortable seating, small portions and a pretentious feel this is definitely the place for you. If you don't like that kind of stuff you should know probably steer clear.

Cocktails were good but difficult to get service. The food was average. Noisy, so difficult to talk. Probably better for a younger demographic.

Had a number of breakfasts while staying at the hotel. Good menu and variety of offerings. Hot chocolate was lukewarm unfortunately. The pancakes were too drenched in the syrup. The chicken sausages were rather strange tasting. The egg dishes were ok. Avocado toast with poached eggs was the best; the lime made all the difference. It is a convenient place and seems quite popular. Prices are as expected hotel prices.

Stopped for lunch. Mad the pastrami which was simply the best pastrami I had ever eaten. Service was superb. My hubby had a portobello sandwich equally good. Would definately go back

Staff is extremely attentive and very responsive. They made a point to reach out and welcome us back for our breakfasts and dinner meals. Labor Day weekend menu was limited. Breakfast/lunch menu was pretty much repeated as dinner offerings. Drink service was limited to beer or wine. Full bar was not open. Lobster was enjoyed. Omelet was good. We were unsure why first morning the side order for sausage was for two and next morning we were given three. Guest ordered the Brioche French Toast. U felt there were some burnt parts but she did not want to cause any stir and ate only a portion. The "unburnt" part she indicated were tasty and the Strawberry-rhubarb jam very good. Read other reviews on service and understood issues. Seems like staff does a number of tasks and maybe loses track of attention to guests. Each meal needed a signal for drink (tea or water) refill and presentation of the check. Not sure they ever asked how the meals were on the second day. In any event, therefore the difficulty on rating this place. So many parts including openness of space work well and yet some fine tuning to raise the bar are recommended.

The brunch menu is unique and fun, and we all enjoyed our food very much. Our server was outstanding, handled food allergies like a pro, and unobtrusively took care of refills and plate service.

Came in to the hotel for a late check in and was starving. Came downstairs since the restaurant upstairs stopped seating and ordered the roasted cauliflower and beef short ribs and I must say the short ribs were amazing! I would order it again, pickled onions made it and the bread was great. Only downside was cauliflower had a strong wine flavour and tasted like a almond extract in the cream instead of roasted almond flavour

This bar is in the Andaz Hotel. The room is very nice, service is good, and the drinks are strong. Service was+quite good as well.

Having tried a dodgy diner elsewhere it was a relief to step through the doors into this quality breakfast venue. Fresh leaf tea served in a pot, great coffee, efficient staff healthy breakfasts as well as everything else. Avocado on toast was a hit. Fresh fruit bowl, generous. Went there 3 times in all and wasn't disappointed. had something different each time. Not cheap but its worth it for the quality and comfortable surroundings.

I bit small on the menu options but the food is excellent... especially if you are on a diet..lol :)
Good breakfast
A good variety of breakfast dishes and generously proportioned. The room was rather dark in the basement.
