The food is ok and the decor is really cute, but the place was a disaster - napkins everywhere, water bottles, cups, it was like a minefield. The service was completely disorganized. We were seated and waited over half ban hour for anyone to come over to us and they were not busy. The servers seemed to all be confused or something. I made eye contact with one of the wait staff and they smiled and said they would be by in a minute, we waited over ten more minutes for them to come back and then it was actually a different server that came over. It was almost 4:30 and we asked if it was still the brunch menu or if the menu had changed since at the top of the menu it said brunch served until 4:30. A few minutes later one of the servers came over and told us that if we wanted to order it was still brunch and we had to get our order in quick. We seriously considered leaving because we had waited so long for someone to take our order. We ordered the broccoli Tate tots, the avocado toast Benedict and the Monterey eggs. I got a turmeric latte and my husband got the coffee. The food was ok. The turmeric latte was amazing and the only reason I am giving them two stars. The service was horrible and the food was fine but nothing amazing or out of the ordinary. I would not go back. Also, one if the reasons I wanted to go here was because I had seen juice flights in their Instagram and when I asked about it they did not know what I was talking about, they have three locations so not all locations have the same food/drinks.

We tried to go to this restaurant twice, and both times were treated as if we were not even welcomed there. The two different staff that talked to us were extremely rude, not helpful and unwelcoming. We ended up never eating there and definitely don’t regret it. Head to the close Jack’s Wife Freda, a brunch spot better than this one.

We had lunch at The Butcher’s Daughter. Funny that our daughter (16) was not enthusiastic at all. Why would we go to a vegan place ..... We sat outside in the sun. Cosy. Immediately got water with mint. Nice touch. Lunch menu had interesting choices based on salad, eggs, avocado, etc. The food was great. Fennel salad super tasty. Smashed avocado with eggs benedict perfect. And even our daughter thought this was perfect food. Smoothies, drinks, all great. Definitely a great place to go.

Dropped by for lunch on our last day in NYC and the sandwiches we had were superb with super friendly and helpful service from the waiter. The "chicken" milanese is really recommended and the juices are also really tasty. Definitely recommend a visit and great for us UK vegans to have so much choice!!

On our recent trip to NYC we had the good fortune to eat here for breakfast, twice! Very good food, vegetarian and gluten free with several options for vegans (me). I would like to see, perhaps, some more options that don't rely heavily on eggs for cooked meals, but there were two good alternatives for me, so I can't complain. Nice spot, small eating area indoors, but the weather was good so we ate outside. Friendly and quick service.

The place is cool, food is good which is what we ask for a restaurant. But service was a little bit complicated. They forgot my extra avocado, and when I ask for it, it was like I was annoying. I have waiting too much for paying so I finally leave 20 bucks on the table. So, food is good, it’s healthy and a cute place, but don’t expect much

Stopped in for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Really lovely staff and the decor was nice. The food was very good and I would definitely be visiting if in New York again.

There was a line when we arrived but we were seated within 5 minutes. We had a scrumptious healthy breakfast and it was wonderful that I could just order from the menu without having to ask for special changes. So healthy and delicious. Unusual combinations that really work. Don't be afraid to try them out!!!

Been seeing this place on instagram a lot so wanted to give it a try. Came on a sunday morning and it was pretty busy although it didn't take long for me to get a seat. The menu choices were great, each dishes were indicated if its gluten free or vegan. The waiter/waitress were very friendly and attentive. Seems like they all speak spanish by the sound of it. The juice selections was also on point. Ordered the 9 grain french toast and a matcha latte with almond milk. They were simply simple and tasty. Recommend this place if you are in NYC.

I was visiting NY from the UK, and visited The Butchers Daughter last week approx 4PM. I was on the phone, but waiting to be seated but got ignored. The couple who were behind me in the queue got seen to. Finally I asked for a seat and got told by the waitress or welcome host, they arent serving food until 5pm, although people around me were eating and servers were bringing out food. I mentioned that a couple just been seated, and I got ignored. I then said, on your website it says you're serving food before close and again I got ignored so I had no option but to leave. I felt embarrassed to say the least and will be putting in a formal complaint. Not the service you would expect from an NY restaurant.

A nice vegan restaurant very cool area and great service. The vegan burger wasn’t the best we had but the natchoz were amazing

We selected this restaurant expecting decent food. Contrary the Rueben sandwich consisted of some kind of bacon, faded red marinated cabbage on toasted bread served on a small wooden board, I expected the a la carte side of White Bean with Fennel Sausage I ordered to be a small bowl of cooked white bean with some fennel and maybe a slice or two of sausages instead it was four small strips (sausage shape, split) similar to bread stick and they were rather dried. The place was very noisy as it was opened air. Benches (seats) were back to back. Every time the other customers who sat back to me got up and sat down created big movement on my seat. That customer happened to get up several times, and every time she sat down it created a big “bump” on my seat and I felt a great vibration. Total disappointment. Don’t think I’ll return.

I went twice during my trip and both times were excellent. I had the ab&j both times and it’s delicious. It is very popular, however, so be prepared to wait for a table, but once you’re sat down the service is quick and all the food is great. One member of my party had the grilled cheese and said it was the best one she had ever had, particularly impressed by the vegan bean bacon. I would go as far as saying it’s a must-visit if you’re in New York.

There is a cafe up by Little Italy and we had a lovely lunch, everything is fresh. I had the cheese quesadilla which I would recommend, very tasty. Well worth a try.

Love this place, such a tipical los angeles style. Cool, minimalist and food is always great!! Fig toast is one of the best thing i’ve ever eat!! Avocado toast is a must! All juices and smoothies are excellent! Love the turmeric latte!

Cozy spot with incredible food. The juicers were great, and everything is well priced. Don’t be discouraged by the long line, we got there with at least 30 people waiting outside and it only took 10 minutes to be seated, very quick turnover.

We had a lovely brunch here. Blood orange Mimosa was lovely. Very cramped but we were seated straight away. My mushroom quinoa meal was tasty. Husband’s breakfast was fine. Would love to try the burger. Will be back

I was one year ago in this nice spot for brunch and breakfast. When I was this time I understood that a lot of things are very bad and that maybe the first time I was just lucky. The service is very slow and the waiters (difficult to recognise) don’t look around to see if you maybe need something, almost 10 minutes after eat somebody come to get our order, what come is a food half precooked and with low quality ingredients. Not suggested

It seems theres usually a wait to get in here. They give you an approximate wait time and txt you when table ready. We waited 45mins at 12 noon but there are plenty of cool boutique shops in the area to keep you occupied not to mention the wacky ice cream shop adjacent(the mango and chilli ice was fab) Inside is a really nice open space with a real buzz with lots of young mostly female crowd on the day we visited. Juices were great, pizza, Vietnamese roll, acai bowl were very good. Phad Thai was way over flavoured with what tasted like balsamic vinegar....odd. Would go back

Breakfast was delicious, beautifully presented, and the service was excellent. Try the fresh pressed juices- excellent. I love to dine outdoors and we did—- just a lot of traffic on the corner where the restaurant is located, can get a little loud.

The food is great and service is good. Friendly staff and good ambiance, although some more space will help. Overall a great place to go

Best veggie food available. Been to Abbot Kinney store in LA and this is just as good. Great breakfast and great way to start day. Boiled egg and soldiers.

This was the first breakfast place we went to on our trip to New York and I must say, it did not disappoint! The service was good and the food was delicious. I had the sesame seed bagel with avocado and egg (photographed below). The decor of the place is also beautiful - definitely one to visit!

I have been to The Butcher's Daughter at locations in LA and New York. The last two experiences I had at the Butcher's Daughter on Kenmare have been really disappointing. As a vegan, I am so grateful for this restaurant and the community it has created, but the unfortunate thing that can happen when a restaurant grows is that the quality goes down, both in food and service, which has happened here. I went a couple of months ago, and the restaurant was so busy that I opted for the take-out side instead, and bought a scone and caesar salad for my plane right. When I got on the plane to eat it, the scone was completely stale and the salad did not have enough dressing. I wrote them about it, and they told me it was "impossible" that the scone was stale as they make it everyday. I had to throw the scone out. The second time I went was yesterday, everyone on the patio was waiting for service, which barely happened. The host and bus boys acted like we were a hassle for everything, from wanting to order food to asking for the bill. The food was okay, which is not great value for the price of food. I really encourage this restaurant to connect back to why they began, and how they want their customers to feel.

Really cool place. Great service and food all very fresh. We didn’t love each of our orders. The burger with vegan cheese had a kind of sour aftertaste and the butchers bowl with fennel ‘sausage’ was ok. Potatoes were really good and fresh. The juices we’re fantastic.

Long wait for table (which is fine) Food was decent Service 5/10 - brought the bill when we were still having our drinks / couldn’t even split the bill individually for us Wouldn’t come back !

Nice place to get some drinks or some yummy breakfast. design is on point and so does the food. we had a good time

I came here to make time for a meeting. Service is very attentive and the food selection is good and healthy

My daughter and I had a delicious dinner here. We shared the plates and enjoyed the cauliflower pizza, tacos verdes, roasted asparagus, tiramisu and more. The restaurant is crowded and busy but very enjoyable!

The reviews don’t lie. Food was superb and the ambience laid back. Avocado toast was delicious and the egg on top brought out the flavors!!! The Butchers Grilled Cheese with adzuki bean bacon and basil was also delicious. This is coming from a non-vegan meat lover. An added bonus was the very attentive wait staff. Would highly recommend for sure!

Went in for a coffee (Pumpkin Spice with Cashew milk to be exact) and was given the completely wrong drink. I should have known by the servers confused face when ordering that I wasn’t going to get what I asked for. I ended up with some bright red drink that tasted nothing like the Pumpkin Spice latte advertised. I attempted to return it and the server kept trying to tell me it was Pumpkin Spice when it clearly wasn’t. The right thing to do would be to apologise and exchange it for the right drink. I ended up throwing it in the trash. Waste of time and money - avoid.

It’s a cosy place but the food portions are simply too small for the price you pay. For example we paid $15 each for a tiny piece of bread with vegan/veggie merguez. That’s no decent meal, this should be labeled as a starter. In addition to that, the waiters automatically charge you a 18% service fee (we were a group of 4) + they want you to tip on top of that. Our friend comes here regularly and says this only happened to her two of the four times she has been here. Apparently they try to charge you this double fee when they realise you are a tourist. Finally, the guys working here look like they hate their lives, brighten up!

I had read lots of mixed reviews of this place before visiting in March 2019. We came here on a weekday for brunch, and when we arrived it wasn't very busy at all. We were greeted by a friendly member of staff, and then got to choose our table. The brunch menu was great with a lot of hot and cold options, as well as hot and cold drinks. We ordered mimosas, teas, porridge, breakfast tacos and toast, and we were happy with everything. Not only did it look good, it was very tasty as well. The interior is pink and beautiful with many plants and nice decorations, perfect for photos. It was quite an expensive brunch, but this was expected. If you don't want to spend that much I would recommend you to just come in for a cup of tea and one breakfast/brunch meal. Overall good experience, I would definitely come back.

Most amazing breakfast. Kept the veggies and meat eaters happy. Best açai bowls, juices, smoothies, eggs... I loved the place!

A really nice and cool place with delicious brunch! We have been here two times and the quality of the food and the service have been superb both times!

I went here for breakfast one morning. Got a seat at the window. Staff was friendly. The avocado toast with eggs benedict and potatoes were delicious. A bit expensive but worth it in my opinion.

Great spot for vegetarian food in NYC. Dishes are very Instagram-able and the staff were friendly. Very busy so expect to wait. Green Mimosa was delicious!

Unless someone tells you or you actually read the menu you would not know that this is a vegetarian/vegan place. The food is beautifully presented and tastes just delicious. Portions are on the small side. Four of us shared six separate dishes and that was about enough for us. Their mimosas are yummy also. Be prepared for a wait.

If you want a quick green juice this is your spot as I did enjoy the green juice (which you can't make any modifications to), but my issue is I don't believe the food is fresh and there are much better options. I couldn't make modifications to the green juice which meant it was pre-made so that was strike 1 for me. Strike 2 was I had asked if they could make the potatoes well done and told that this was not possible which made me feel like the food really wasn't that fresh if they don't have time or space to crisp up a potato? I would recommend trying somewhere else.

Great food and coffee. Very cozy place and a menu that meets all demands. Highly recommended. Mind you though, the place is very small and the tables are very close to each other...but this is NY and it makes the place real alive and warm.

This is one of the best breakfast spots in the city. Simple food with high quality products. It tastes as well as it looks. Highly recommended!

Nice place to have tasty food. Quick prepared. Nice presentation. Small and friendly. If you prefer healthy dishes this is place for you.

This place has a great atmosphere! Food and service exceptional. The only thing most of the time you will have to wait a bit to get seated. (Due to its always busy)

I just love their breakfast, but it is always so many people there, waiters are in the rush, so service is not the best sometimes. But this is New York baby - get used to it ;)

We’d heard good things. The juices were delicious and were seated curtously over the busy lunctime period. Unfortunately the the follow up service was a little lack lustre - no table water despite other guests receiving it, drinks were plonked down without knowing which was which and unfortunately the portions for lunch were tiny and a little bland, especially for the price @ $30 for a sandwich and protein bowl. Really hope this was just symptons of a busy May afternoon.

I felt discriminated by your servers! This is my worst experience ever! Only 40 minutes in to our meal. Your server came and asked us if he could clean up the table.. our dishes were only half way done, and he asked if he can clean up the table!? We replied that we are only halfway done. Only one minute later, he came over again asking if we’re done and if he can clean up the table, and he added, did you see the crowd outside that’s waiting for the seats?! We aren’t done eating yet and the two seats next to ours are done with their meal. Why aren’t they being asked?! All this is within an hour long, if there’s a time limit, why aren’t we being informed then?! This is THE WORST experience I’ve ever had!!!

Wonderful experience, perfect food, great atmosphere, I am just sorry that I did´t manage to come again. Next visit to NYC for sure!

We came here to have breakfast twice. We sitted inside - as we are not used to the noise of NYC streets. The staff were quick and friendly. The breakfast was delicious. Might be a bit pricey for a full blown breakfast but otherwise would have rated with a 5. Highly recommended though!

There was, what seemed like, a long wait but they got us in pretty quickly. The atmosphere is gorgeous. The service is attentive, at times a little too attentive to try to get more people in. This doesn't really bother me though. I had the full english with my egg poached instead of fried (pictured), it's definitely not a traditional version but I absolutely adored it! My friend got the eggs benedict. which had a curry holandaise. I had a taste and it was superb! We both had a chai latte which was average. It is soooo well priced, I was so pleased by the cheapness of this brunch! And absolutely no skimping on quality. Definitely on my return to list for city trips!

Added a fair tip to a big order. Waitress still didn’t think it was enough and mocked me....not so nice.....

Love this place! Great service and good food! We also tasted two of their juices, so fresh!! I recommend the Toast with avocado, so good!

Really tasty food, vegan and vegetarian options, tasty complementary mint water, nice location and nice staff

Absolutely loved the food here, phenomenal options with really great flavours and really well presented dishes.Whoever is in the kitchen and organising the menu choices and concoctions that are put together deserves a payrise!!!! Very cute drink options and so much more than you could even imagine for breakfast brunch or lunch. The shakes are fantastic too. The decor is cute and the location is lovely, particularly if its a nice and sunny day. The bad side, was the staff the service is a little slow and you don't get the same server each time - which is perplexing when it comes to leaving a tip as one of our servers was particularly smiley but then disappeared for about 20 minutes before someone who looked very surly took our order. Definitely let down by this factor as its a really great place!!!

Butcher's Daughter is, believe it or not a vegetarian restaurants that offers many vegan dishes. Located in Nolita on Kenmare street, it is a perfect spot to stop during a day of downtown shopping in NYC. The is a really cool sidewalk seating area that fills up really fast at lunch time. All dishes are plant based. There are a few with eggs but plenty of vegan choices. The "meat" sandwiches are particularly tantalizing. The Deli Reuben and the Chicken Milanese are really tasty. Seating inside is crowded. There is a long counter with stools along the window. Service is prompt and very friendly.

Lots of veggie and vegan options for breakfast. We sat outside to eat, prompt and friendly service, delicious food and great coffee and smoothies.

This was a nice place to hang out for a brunch and the food was fine but nothing special. I think the prices are too high for what you get and I am probably not going back.

Cool place for brunch, tasty and good service. Spinach egg was good. They have gluten free option too!

Let’s be honest, the food here is alright - it’s not outstanding, but it’s not the inedible gruel some other places are churning out. Although when you charge $8 + tax + tip for a slice of toast with avocado, are you having a bit of a laugh? (Roughly $10.50 for a single slice of toast) Vegans / vegetarians can get a decent meal here but it ain’t light on the wallet. Your experience is further enhanced by constant bashing (due to tables being too close together) and the papers straws disintegrating before you have a chance to finish your incredibly expensive smoothie. Maybe worth looking for a better alternative!

Great little cafe in the East village. Visited here for brunch on Saturday and it didn’t disappoint. It is a plant based cafe though so if you’re expecting bacon: you will get adzuki bacon made from soy beans. We tried some and it was fine but it didn’t taste like bacon. The food on the whole was very very good and plentiful. We all had different menu choices and were all happy with them: my rice and eggs was delicious yet felt healthy. It was a same they didn’t do just simple juices as I was craving a fresh orange juice: the guy said all their pressed juice mixes were pre made so unable to deviate from the menu. All in all good. Nice cool vibe and nice healthy food. The perfect hangover cure.

We have had breakfast here twice - an all vegetarian restaurant with many vegan options. I recommend the banana walnut pancakes and the waffles with berries (weekend brunch)!

This place has a Good menu with different options for brunch. Very tasty food. Good service and a nice ambiance.

I absolutely love this place. I wish I had one in Florida. Went twice in the two days I was in New York. The first day we went for lunch. My friend and I split the beet salad and quinoa bowl with veggie chicken. I got the vegan chocolate ganache cake for dessert which was ridiculously yummy. Went back for breakfast the next day and I had the soaked muesli with fruit. It was delicious! Everyone ordered something different and loved it. The pineapple orange passion fruit mimosas are the best I’ve ever had!

Lovely place, delicious food ! Avocado toast with egg and water melon!!!! Staff were helpful and friendly. Great menu selection

So they promote vegan food but there’s really nothing on the lunch menu if you are also gluten-free. I had heard great things about their zucchini pasta but at 3:30 pm it’s not available since it’s on the dinner menu. The menu said the dinner menu starts at 4:00; we considered waiting but the waiter said it starts at 4:30 and there was no convincing him otherwise. So I settled for avocado toast which was awful. The toast was cold and the ‘avocado’ was crappy creamy guacamole. I paid the $25 and went elsewhere for lunch. Also it was filthy, even the menu

We visited The Butchers daughter with a group of 4 for some lunch and were blown away by the beautiful decor it was very organic and beautiful. We ordered two beers and the red and the orange juice. I would recommend the orange juice but not the red juice unless you really like beetroot. I ordered the vegan Mac and cheese which was fabulous and I would definitely recommend, my mum ordered the grilled cheese sandwich with avocado and she thought it was the best sandwich she ever had. Two people got the soups and they were amazing. I would definitely recommend it and there is a small shop next door that sells the glass juice bottles from the shop at only 6 dollars each. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Stopped at this tiny spot for breakfast with daughter. Sat at window ledge with stools which was fine. Good and quick service. Had the vegetarian chorizo scrambled egg bowl and daughter had the spinach egg scramble bowl. We both enjoyed our meals. A bit pricey but to be expected given area and healthy ingredient focus.

The BD only offeres vegetarian dishes and we absolutely liked the menu and the food. It was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had, not too much, just fine and great tasting. Coffee is excellent as well and there service really pleasant. Combine this with the nice terrace and one can imagine why this is a hotspot for breakfast. So much better then the place across the street, just selling "eggs"

This lovely place was about a 10 min walk from our hotel - Hotel %0 Bowery . My only regret is that we didn't get back for a second breakfast. It was simply fantastic . The gluten free waffles I had were out of this world ,served with fresh fruit and a great coffee ,what more could you want . We arrived early ( just before 845am ) on a Saturday and were seated straight away ,however 30mins later it was getting very busy.

We came across the Butcher's daughter having been recommended this as a place to eat by our hotel which was a short distance walk away. Normally a meat eater, my husband was apprehensive but went along with it as he knows I love veggie/vegan food. We were served very quickly and our meal served to us within 10 minutes. We had Angel hair carbonara with potato wedges as a side and both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. So much so that we went back twice more for evening meals during our week long stay! The food was absolutely delicious and the portions just right. The food presentation was also very good. I highly recommend this place, my husband is also now a converted part time veggie!

I went to The Butcher's Daughter for breakfast. It was a sunny day so I could sit outside. I ordered the pancakes (which were tasty) and a yellow juice (delicious). Staff is quick and pretty friendly. Location near a big street is not the best, but i did not care.

Always a spot I return to with good menu & great food. Can get busy, outside area & inside are nice for people watching while you eat.

I love this place.... it’s alternative , it’s cool, has vegan menu with a lot of varieties ... the staff is great... and it’s the best place for brunch!

Good brunch, no surprise, the service was also really appreciated Small point, located on a busy street, the terrace is good but pretty noisy Worth a stop, no deception to come

I've heard and passed by this place a number of times. The decor is really nice and we figured we would try it out since it is nearby and vegetarian. The service was really lacking. They didn't bring out utensils until halfway through the meal, and even lied to me about giving me the wrong bread (it wasn't a big deal- but I had pointed out that I wanted whole grain instead of sourdough, and the waiter insisted that I had whole grain in which i brought it to the kitchen and had it corrected). The food was not very impressive and honestly overpriced for what it was. I would not recommend this restaurant if you have any standard of service and appreciate novel and delicious food.

Had brunch at this delightful cafe. It’s tucked away off the Main Street (Bowery) and we were actually heading to another cafe however passed this one and it was crowded and lively so we decided to stop in. Smashed avo was delicious and a generous serve (USD $14). They had quite a selection for breakfast and lunch, and had a large range of fresh juices. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was fresh and there cafe was clean and warm. Definitely recommend this cafe for breakfast, brunch or lunch.

Energetic happy engaged servers are the beginning to a nice experience! The food is amazing; the place is small with high energy-nearly-noisy friendly warm atmosphere on a cold NY day

Our hotel was nearby so we went here twice for breakfast. Fast service and good food. Great and fresh taste, but rather too expensive. If they lower their prices with a few percent it would be even a bit nicer.

BE AWARE! I signed for a tip of aprox 6 dolars and got charged 70!!! I called them and they won't give me the money back. What happened is super sad I never got a cleared response. I got robbed. Check your bills.

This is a must foodie place to visit if you are vegetarian and are visiting New York but, even if you are not vegetarian, you will truly enjoy the colours and tastes of the wonderful dishes served at this cafe.

We went there for breakfast today. As Europeans we r used to get really good coffee and have found a lot of good coffee places in NYC. This coffee here is not made for the coffee lover taste. Super watery and still super bitter and sour in taste. We also ordered the coconut yogurt for example. It was so sweet that we just could not eat it at all! We informed the waiter and he just handed us over the check and said that it’s not possible that the yogurt is too sweet. All in all not a good experience! I would definitely not recommend to go there for breakfast.

Great food, exotic mimosas, and the service was very good as well. Food came out fast and looking so beautiful! Would not mind coming back here!

This was our second choice for brunch as Two Hands had a 40 minutes wait. Service wasn't very friendly and food was just ok. Coffee was good. Expensive and underwhelming for what it was.

The service is very kind, the food very fresh - and I love that the orange juice is actually very orange-coloured. Great spot for breakfast.

What a lovely place. Welcoming, nicely decorated and delicious food and cappuccino! Had excellent breakfast and very good service. Highly recommended.

The Butcher's daughter is a fantastic cafe/restaurant! The food was absolutely surprising and delicious. We were a party of 3 and the food was so good, that we kinda shared our orders with each other to explore their dishes. Seating options can be an issue, but thats just the type of place it is.

I love this restaurant, and I’ve been to all their locations. The Brooklyn location is my favorite, because there is more space. The Greenwich Village location is much more cramped. They have great outdoor seating when the weather is nice. The food is delicious. It’s all vegetarian with some vegan and gluten free options. Some of the vegetarian options can be made vegan if you ask. The waffles are my favorite (these are already vegan and gluten free) and also highly recommend the Monterey Eggs but with vegan sausage instead of the eggs.

Egg dishes were cold, pricey but french toast was good. Literally was a hair in my dish. Coffee was mkay.

This place is juts off China Town and is really trendy! Was fresh, tasty and the smoothies were to die for. I would recommend trying anything that has the avocado in!

The avocado toast is amazing, I love coming here for their breakfast & brunch. Cute spot to spend a morning at with friends! If you're in the Nolita area I highly recommend checking it out.

My vegan son made us try this place. (The rest of the family are hard core meat eaters) My son absolutely loved it and the rest of us were pleasantly surprised that it was pretty good. My son had avocado toast which he loved. The rest of us had veggie omelets with fake cheese and toast. The omelets were good, the fake cheese acceptable but the toast with no butter was dry. This is a very quaint and charming place to visit.

This is such a cool place that does really amazing breakfasts and good range of juices. Eggs Benedict were spot on

As a vegan, I really wanted to like this place when we went in November 2018.However, I can’t recommend this place at all. Service was terrible - impossible to get the attention of wait staff, even to order food or a drink. This seemed to partially be because the people making the food also were the ones serving/waiting on tables. Portions were tiny and not filling at all. My juice I ordered was good- better than the food I had. Overpriced. Tiny restaurant with cramped seating and only one bathroom with a super long line

I came here for lunch on a long weekend break from the UK with my 23 year old daughter. The atmosphere was great. I loved the 1970’s disco/funk/soul music. The food was tasty and healthy and the staff friendly and professional. The house Sauvignon Blanc is excellent and they also serve a wide selection of juices with a ‘kick’. Great value and a fun place. Expect to wait for a table at peak times. Worth a trip out from Manhattan. The whole neighbourhood is very vibrant.

Don't get fooled by the "vegan" menu, the fares are still quite fatty and salty. Still the menu is creative and you can navigate to find one or two calorie acceptable dishes. And the decors has a good vibe.

Super place to stop and have a morning coffee and delicious brunch..., very cool atmosphere, very friendly staff, excellent food and the best coffee ...!

I found this restaurant through a friend, it is easily accessible by metro and in a nice area of New York (great if you want to go shop in Soho). We both ordered just scrambled eggs and toast (only $5!!!), which were delicious, and homemade beverages. Everything was great! We were able to be seated write away at the bar since we were only two, but groups had to wait for a table (this was on a Saturday morning), it was by far the busiest restaurant in the area. Service was good. Location has a great aesthetic for Instagram photos.

Along with a very vegetarian and vegan friendly menu they have a huge selection of smoothies, juices and a nice bar. Definitely a great place if your a little hungover or need a recharge!

The main restaurant doesn’t handle take out orders... even though it appears to be a shared kitchen and that was where the cashier had to go to get it — odd to me. Ordered the quinoa and green pea salad which was a tad overpriced to me ($15) for the size. Quinoa a bit under cooked. Very few green peas (looked frozen ) and not a lot of flavor. The restaurant though was crowded and hot (a hot humid day for NYC). I could not imagine sitting there to eat a meal.

Went here for breakfast with 5 other friends. Great menu, great selection. Wonderful, unique menu. Lots of healthy & healthy-ish menu items. Split avocado toast & pomegranate porridge with a friend. Filling, fresh, delicious! We all loved the drink/smoothie selection as well. Went on a Friday morning around 9:30. Little bit of a wait, but they were good about keeping things moving and we did not wait for long. Excellent, efficient service.

We lucked out and walked right in. In the right place at the right time. We both ate Avocado toast Benedict and licked our plates clean. The service was spot on and fun!

We had brunch here which actually turned into more of a lunch. The food and coffee were delicious! Great place with a nice interior and friendly staff!

We have been three times even though the service to the dresser is very poor, but the last time we went we were surprised that it was a rainy day, when it arrived it was cold but even so we sat outside, so we made the order but it started to rain and I asked the chairwoman to give us a place inside since it was raining, she told me that it could not be that once you were seated outside you can not eat inside. So I spoke with my waiter to cancel the order and the store manager told me to apologize but that was the rule, but he had two options 1.-Cancel the order 2.-Wait longer if we wanted to be inside. So, since my daughters wanted to eat there, we waited. It is a good place only that you have to work a little more in the space where people eat and be more cordial with the client.

Butchers daugter is an okay place. But we were somewhat a bit disappointed about the face value. Its a bit expensive and quality not quite par. Had a cafe latte which was mostly hot milk. Also had the omelet which was alright but lacked some spices. The granola parfait was good. Perhaps a bit more yoghurt and berries would have made it excellent.

A good choice for vegans and vegetarians, and gluten free bread options. Avocado toast mash with egg was delicious. Clean and cheerful environment.

The butchers daughter is a lovely place to grab a drink with friends or for a late breakfast. we always enjoy coming here

My husband is vegan and they are so accommodating here when he wanted something on the menu that was not vegan. We ate here several times during our stay in Nolita and the food and service was exceptional every time.

This was my girl friend's and my first brunch in NYC. Needless to say, it was outstanding. The service was friendly and the aesthetic was timeless and chic with a Paris-ish flair. The chai latte was not too sweet, which perfectly balanced the sweetness of my pancakes. The portion was certainly not large by any means but it was enough to fill me without feeling like I'd overdone it. The detail to the flavours at Butcher's Daughter is appreciated and makes for great food pics. Compared to the BD other NYC location, I liked the aesthetic of this one a bit more, but the quality of the food was comparable. Would highly recommend.

I had a day off so I went to The Butcher’s Daughter this past Friday morning and opted to eat outside. The beautiful atmosphere and delicious breakfast choices made for an amazing morning! The wait staff was VERY attentive and made sure my mimosa was strong, my water was always refilled, my order was taken promptly, and my food brought out in a timely manner!! All the men that were working that morning were super nice! I will definitely be returning to try more of the vegan/vegetarian options!

Great stop for our final lunch in Manhatten after a wander around East Village and Nolita. Food was very tasty and filling and good choice. Mum and sister not vegetarian but embraced the food and loved the taste and texture of the alternatives on offer.

Went in for lunch. The price of the food is pretty high but this is normal for this kind of place with local and organic food. The taste of the food was ok, nothing special ( again for this kind of place). The drinks however are insanely expensive. I drank a lemonade because it was almost the only cold drink that didn't cost a rediculous amount of money ( minimum 10 dollars for a juice). It was all very average untill we wanted to pay. We payed cash en gave allmost the correct amount of money planning on giving the tip when we got our receipt back. The waiter however came back with our money and started to explain that the tip wasn't included and circel the proposed tips that where printed on the receipt ( starting with 18%). We answered that we knew that it wasn't included en we were gonna leave the tip when we got the receipt back. But the waiter didn't listen en started the explanantion about the tips ( including the encircling) again. He then left our money on the table and walked away. Maybe it is because i am not an American that i was abolutely shocked by this, but in Europe this doens't happen unless you are in a big big Big tourist trap in for example the center of London. And even then they normally don't dare to say anything when someone doens't tip because it is not obligated ( although i always do) We left still leaving a tip ( but less than 15%), and i was already mad at myself for giving any tip after leaving the street. There are way better places to eat this kind of food and where the waiters aren't rude.

This place is beautiful and the staff is very friendly, but prices are a bit high. The food is good, but nothing special. Waffle was excellent, avocado bread and smoothies OK, something I could also make myself. Take a table outside at the terrace if possible, it’s nice to look at people walking by.

This restaurant has a lovely patio where we enjoyed a great breakfast. The food was very good. The restaurant is vegetarian and dairy free so there are plenty of options for vegans and vegetarians, but anyone would enjoy. We would certainly go back.

- is it ok that we ordered a round of glasses of wine after having a bottle and an empty bottle is still on the table and you brought the round and still didn't take an empty bottle? - I was busy. If you don't like my service, dont leave tip

We dined here at the bar overlooking the street. Excellent gluten free and vegan options. Recommend I had the Egg Sandwich Platter with modifications- no eggs extra adzuki bean bacon (vegan-friendly) and the watermelon, lime and lavender mimosa. My daughter had the Weekend Waffles (Gluten Free) and the raw hot cacao.

Busy - but worth the wait - excellent vegan/gluten free options. Drinks are expensive but give the turmeric latte a go :-) Avocado toast and waffles excellent and coffee good. So why only 4 stars? Well, the waiting staff are not attentive or easily identifiable for that matter :-)

I went here twice during my three day New York visit. Both times from the market next door- the Take Out counter part. The first time we grabbed two smoothie bowls - one acai, and one yogurt with berries. Both were absolutely delicious, and kept us full for most of the day - We also grabbed chocolate chip muffins SOO GOOOOOD On the second visit we grabbed - a peanut butter banana smoothie - an acai smoothie - a walnut/banana muffin These were all delicious as well. We did not make it to the dine-in, but all the food looked amazing.

we came here in a group of 3 on a Sunday morning. the coffee was good and the food was fine. the service as well as the location are good

Vegetarian dishes, quite tasty, nicely looking though rather expensive, organic coffee, a bit hasty service. Anyway due to the breakfast we had to change the plan for half of the day as we basically needed to be close to restrooms. It is difficult to say which ingredient caused the problems, since we had different dishes, but 100% sure it was something in the breakfast.

Okay...I’m a Hillbilly from TN drug here by my hip and cool daughter. I ordered nachos and she ordered avocado and toast. I scoffed at her avocado toast (for being a cool girl) and proceeded to ‘knockout’ my nachos. Now...the chili on my nachos tasted ‘different’ but that didn’t stop me from finishing them off. Afterwards she told me (giggling) the restaurant was vegetarian...I don’t think the nacho chili was real meat...anyhow it was good. It wasn’t the good ol-fashioned beef (I think) but it was good! I will be here again understanding it may not be ‘real’ meat in my nachos but it was very good. I’ll chalk-it-up to eating healthy!

I have to say, in all my years of living, I have never been so enraged by a restaurant. The service was terrible as the waiter didn’t offer us forks for our food, gave us warm water with dirty cups and didn’t inform us that they only accepted cards and no cash. The food was absolutely disgusting and I experienced terrible stomach cramps after eating. The food was also warm, despite the fact that I had ordered a salad, and tasted as if it had been prepared and ready hours beforehand. The salad was also given to me in approximately 2 minutes which further corroborates the fact that it was ready beforehand and not fresh. It was also expensive for some nasty rabbit food and I forced myself to eat purely for sustenance. My friend’s avocado on her salad had a fly on it and they refused to do anything about it. I had come in with fairly high expectations and I have to say that it was the worst restaurant experience of my life. A complete waste of money!

Great vegetarian food, and very nice atmosphere. Service was also spot on and fast. All the dishes were really nice.

Being from Melbourne, breakfast is a huge deal. THIS is perfect. And a lovely spot in the sun in October mornings.

I went here with a friend and it was delicious! Since I'm gluten and dairy free, I could eat almost everything on the menu. It is a bit pricey ($7 for a muffin w/jelly), but the food is so good I wanted to splurge a little. They also have a "to go" market around the corner from the restaurant where you can just pick up little goodies. Highly recommend!

Decent quality Veggy burger and a look like cesar salad. A few suggestion gor the deinks. Water with mint: the mint is useless and uou cannot serve warm water in august. The cyder and the beer were in cans and already opened...the customer must open or you have to do it at the table....

If you are a foodie but prefer healthy veggie first options, this place is a must. Get's crowded so pack your patience though

I'm the type of person that goes out of my way to find great restaurants and after reading the reviews, which were, somewhat mixed, I decided to visit given that the menu looked nice and that it had a range of fresh pressed juices. Firstly, the decor here is faultless, even if it is a little 'sunday brunch posted on ig with the girls.' Its clear that alot of effort has been put into the design, so much so that I wonder whether or not the price of the food is so extortionate because the interior designer still needs paying off (sorry). I got the avocado toast and my boyfriend got the breakfast burger, we also got a juice each, I can't remember the names of them as they were very underwhelming. You would think, that with so many reviews and multiple cafes across the US that they could get avocado toast right, right? Wrong. I have NEVER tasted an avocado as bland in my life, it was as though it was seasoned to make the avocado less flavoursome. Either you are buying really cheap avocados or your chef doesn't know how to recognise a ripe one, nevertheless, for a single slice of toast, with no side garnish, $15 just isnt justifiable. Our meal for two brunch items and two juices was 70 DOLLARS (without a tip)!!!!!! I really wanted to like The Butchers daughter but for a restaurant to put more effort into decor and instagram profile than the actually food is serves is a warning sign itself.

I reviewed The Butcher's daughter on my first visit back in 2013. Not much has changed actually - for better and worse. The decor is still holding up with naturalistic colors and some pops of greens for plants. Love the Yellow color scheme for chairs and details too. The interior as well as the food is very instagram worthy... Seating is scarce so be there at 8.00 am sharp if you want to have breakfast. Or, line up. I love their GF pancakes as a treat but the Porridge is my go to choice. Super delish! The location is great in NOHO/LES area. And, it's also a great place for people watching. Service is usually quick and attentive. The only thing is that I think by now there are more places just like this that feel more genuine.

We went there for breakfast and had Avocado toast mash with poached eggs which was delicious. My daughter had the waffle that she throughly enjoyed also. The staff were also friendly and we sat outside has it was a lovely morning.

The location has limited seating so the wait was long. The food was excellent. And drink options unique - they had mimosas but not with orange juice, but with their unique juice combinations (several choices) and not with champagne, but with their own sparkling wine. Their home brand of white wine was also very good. Service was really slow and inaccurate.

I enjoyed my Butcher's Bowl. I love visiting a restaurant that has so many enticing items on the menu that it is hard to decide. Take a group of friends who like to order different items and share! Then you won't have to decide. I will want to return the next time I am in NYC.

We went to this small white restaurant without booking. We had the chance to find a table and taste the excellent food. We tried the cauliflower crust pizza, the vegetable burger, the avocado toast and the pesto pasta. All very good, original and tasty. We ordered a second pizza that we shared as it was really delicious with all these mushrooms and brócoli on top. Unfortunately there were no more desserts, so we had no sweet end. It was however not necessary as we were full and satisfied. The waiters were excellent, friendly and professional. A very positive experience.

We were staying around the corner. Nice selection of vegetarian and vegan breakfast options. Great juices and vitality shots to give you a kick. Interestingly jumping on the cbd craze by allowing you to add to coffee or juices. Service was friendly but even on a Monday at 10 was busy so be prepared to wait in line

I came here for brunch. There was a 25 minute wait to be seated inside, so I opted to eat outside. It was cold and windy, so not the most desirable condition for eating. I got the waffles which were nice and the turmeric late, which wasn’t hot. I would have appreciated my drink hotter, especially on such a cold day. I should also point out that I am vegan, so I had limited choices.

This place scores a 10/10 points for their sunny side up avocado toast that will make your inner basic b very happy. The acai smoothie (brazilian blast) is very fresh, and the black coffee is decent for an american place.
Great brunch
While visiting lower Manhattan, we’ve found this lovely place. The pancakes and french toasts were excellent.
