beautiful place

By Tony C |

Came here for lunch during restaurant week. Very nice decor high ceiling, a bit slow with service but they were busy

Pass

By Wine dude |

It’s very difficult to give more than a three I ordered the tandoori chicken, which I guess in that restaurant didn’t make sense. It seemed everyone else enjoyed their meal, but it’s very very old-school old-fashioned. There’s no lighting very very dim. Definitely had to use a flashlight to read the menuor even to see the food I don’t want to put it down, but I would say you can do better much better in New York

No need to return

By Dqny foodie 101 |

With all of the hype we decided to celebrate our best friends Birthday at The Clock Tower Not good. No reason to return. No Mitchelin Stars for our diner. We waited 45 minutes for our table in the main dinning room where waiters and patrons had to squeeze by. The paper menus had no leather jacket and the cloth less table had no placemats The rare miniature skirt steak came out well done as well as the dry Berkshire pork chop. The $40 truffle risotto special appetizer was not really special but when the check came another $15 was added for the risotto. Fine Dining it was not. No reason to go back.

Excellent Bar

By MJL |

A great bar with an amazing chilled vibe, amongst a great surrounding, this bar offers some very knowledgeable bar staff serving all your cocktails needs alongside really friendly service. Alongside the great bar, there is also a little pool area to give it that final touch!

Weird Vibe

By Abigail C |

I visited New York in January with my mum. We were staying in The Edition and decided to try The Clocktower on our first night. The food was great, couldn't complain about a thing. The service was a little slow and felt very disjointed. We were sat by an air con unit, I'm not really sure which but it was really quite cold. When we asked them to shut it off they obliged for all of about 10 minutes until it was drafty again. The table next to us were ridiculously loud and really vulgar, not exactly what you want when you're trying to enjoy a meal with your mother. And it rather felt like we were forgotten about, maybe we weren't their standard clientele. The cocktail bar on the other hand was great, and I spent many an hour there.

Exceptional

Five dined. Downstairs “trendy bar” does not prepare you for the tasteful grandeur of upstairs. Menu was fantastic, I took the Uni then the Halibut. Wine list full. Recommend for special occasions.

Elegant Happy Hour (Review of Bar Only)

By jwills08 |

We were looking for a place away from crowds on a Friday afternoon and this fit the bill well. Well appointed bar (go to the second floor) with skilled mixologists and innovative craft cocktails. Lots of cool photos hanging about. Believe it or not, I learned that the quality of their ice makes a difference in drinks. A bit pricey, but hey, it’s NYC.

Flatiron District - pricey alternative

By wcdream2 |

I was looking for a fine dining experience that could accommodate my desire for a filet with my son's vegan appetite. Great (expensive) wine menu, definitely upscale. Great service, food was great. Nice evening.

As a London club where they actually let you in.

By Phayao13 |

The reception of the hostesses are so warming that you immediately become sympathetic to this casual elegant restaurant filled with framed photographs in black and white, one above another, gallery style. They show celebrities from the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s, dozens and dozens of them. Savored a truly divine good ravioli as an appetizer.Just these few bites can make me yearn. A safe but a bit musty pork belly as a main course.A little long wait between courses when time is limited you have for lunch. Besides that an attentive service.

Great vibe and food

By the3hondos |

Great location for good drinks and snacks.. Always packed with a typical NYC vibe.. but a seat can be found as well as great service and food- which is good considering a vodka soda will put you back 22 bucks!

Underwhelming in every way.

By Jack C |

Decor is fantastic and walking up the spiral stairs to very nice ambiance is a great start....but that's really where it ended for us. We waited 10-15 from being seated to have anyone acknowledge us or take a drink order. We asked the waiter who was unbearable if we had ordered enough apps and we were told yes (he was wrong). Food was good, not great and not worth the price.

Quaint restaurant

By Kitmin2010 |

Food was good and decor was quaint but a bit pricey for lunch. Since we stayed over we also had breakfast which was very good. The bloody mary is delicious!

Curious Britophile charm

By Elizabeth H |

Our team gathered here for my leaving dinner. An interesting menu. All the food seemed to be exceptionally good. The location and ambience were lovely and the waiting staff superbly attentive whilst blending into the background. I love black pudding but I wasn't sure it should be served with black pudding! Great evening.

A little daunting

By Carolyn B |

It was a once in a lifetime experience. A little out of our price range. The wine list was truly amazing. But it seemed to be more a place for people where price doesn't matter... food was very good but ........

romantic old new york restaurant

By barrylight2017 |

my 4th time here. love the romanticbar and pool table room with its oak paneled walls and fireplace. the restaurant has some unique dishes rarely seen anywhere and while my order was messed up they did remove it from my bill and apologized.the food was nicely presented but i didnt love it. it was just ok

Great food but disappointing service

By Mel040870 |

Went here for my husbands 50th. Lovely place and decor. The food was superb. Beautifully presented and delicious. However the service was very poor for a Michelin star restaurant. I have been to many one star, two star and three star Michelin restaurant and this one is the first I have rated average. We waited ages to be served whilst other who had come after us had been served and at least given menus. When we got to order drinks it took ages to arrive. Our server was very personable but we saw him at the start and when we actually had to ask for stuff vs them ensuring we had all the condiments for our meal. Not very attentive and seemed to be serving other tables in another room hence lack of us seeing him throughout our dinner. We left and not ordered dessert as we didn’t want to wait around longer than we had to. So in summary, fantastic food but the service let this place down which is a real shame and very disappointing.

Need to remove offensive photos

By Kiss |

There are offensive photos of Larry Rivers and Shirley MacLaine pulling at the corners of their eyes in the bar room that are disrespectful to Asians

It's OK - surely not great

By TheGlobalGrownUp |

Went for dinner. The food is OK although very expensive. Good vegetarian option. But the service - oh dear - sort of efficient, but so cold and arrogant. Just not acceptable even in NY.

Drinks

By Nahi |

Went there for a drink before dinner. Nice bar, not much of a scene but still has a nice vibe. Food looked good

Overpriced and Disappointing

By jimmy774 |

I thought this place was very overpriced and the food was mediocre. It also didn't help that at one point I got up to use the bathroom with my appetizer less than half finished and when I returned they had already taken it away. I did like the decor.

Classic look

By picchiosandman |

This restaurant looks cool and it has that old feel. Nothing old about their rooms. Loaded with all of necessary amenities with an interesting attention to details and good size rooms for NY city. Simple breakfast menu however the quality of the food is great. Service is also great. Positive experience so far

Just Ok

By cjguk |

Stunning venue, very similar decor to the restaurant in the London Edition. Food was ok, the filet steak was large but dry and the only sauce on offer was Bearnaise. When we asked if they could do a peppercorn sauce the waiter gave a very blunt no. Overall experience was slightly disappointing which the restaurant being more style over substance

Wonderful setting

By Fronterizo |

The setting is clubby, warm and full of interesting photos on the walls. But what makes it worthwhile is the service and the food. We ordered three appetizers for the center of the table. There were five of us. We were satisfied with all three: the mac and cheese, the yellow tail, and the tomatoes were great. I had thenlamb chops for an entree and loved it, they cooked it just right. Everyone else ordered the diverse fish dishes and left their plates squeeky clean. We had the after eight and sorbets for dessert. The mango sorbet and the coconut sorbet were simply delicious! Espresso was a good ending, and two kf the guys had scotch to finish out the evening.

Terrific Dining Experience

By 5268Y |

Located in an old (and expensively done) Executive Suite: they sure don't build them like they used to" --> check out these gorgeous rooms :) . Along with the terrific food and service, this is dining the way it used to be and still should be. Wow, wow and wow! For more details, check out the numerous favorable reviews of The Clocktower, then treat yourself to a wonderful dining experience.

Breakfast bonus

By simon p |

We stayed at the Edition for 4 nights but only once had breakfast in the hotel itself. I reckon I missed out as I waited til the last morning to use their breakfast service. Quite honestly it was amongst the best of breakfasts I have eaten. It was straightforward enough but well presented and with a really healthy large portion size for each of the dishes we ordered. The service was fine but I find the whole ‘service not included’ thing a pain up the behind especially as the 3 Star restaurant across the road won’t accept ANY tips at all (I tried). I wouldn’t say it was cheap but if you’re staying at the NY Edition, cheap is not your concern!

Excellent lunch weird service

By FirstClass001 |

Excellent lunch but the service we received was not stellar. Two stars at the most for service while the quality of the food and drinks were five stars. Will try this place for breakfast to see if the quality is the same and hope the service this time will be better.

A little disappointed

By mmdoram |

Having been to quite a few of Jason Athertons restaurants, a trip to New York, this was one not to miss. We turned up early and was shown directly to the table no offer of a drink before hand. The food was amazing as expected, once we had finished dessert we were presented with the bill, we hadn't asked and were not offered tea coffee. So we paid the bill, then I had to ask to finish our wine, which was in an ice bucket in the corner of the room. We always ask for a copy of the menu, bit of a souvenir to add to the others, this request was happily sorted but, I had to ask if we could have clean one as there were food stains on the one offered, which was the one I had ordered from. A little disappointed did not feel welcome and attention to detail just was not there.

Good Brunch at this Amazing New Hotel in an Iconic NYC Landmark

By ClintPage |

This is a fairly new restaurant in the recently opened New York Edition Hotel near Flatiron in downtown NYC. It's inside an iconic New York City landmark that's been converted to residences and a hotel. We had a great brunch here in this really cool restaurant. The service was really good. The food was good not great but good. I'd recommend it for the setting alone.

Michelin quality food and ambience without the price tag

By danshepherd90 |

Fantastic food and ambience, service was great, although they were clearly understaffed I think most places are today. Beef Wellington was fantastic and red cabbage as a side dish is a must 6 of us ate for $500 (2 courses and 1 alcoholic drink each)

This is amn elegant restaurant in a boutique hotel. Be prepared to spend $75 to $100 per person

By George Y |

The restaurant is in a boutique hotel, I was directed to the hotel so be sure to ask for the restaurant restaurant. The ambiance is wonderful and the dining room is elegant with wood panels, like in an English library

A great find in Gotham

By ExperiencedTravele07 |

I was a guest at the Edition and was encouraged by a friend to try the Avocado on Toast with poached eggs for breakfast. I know, I know ------- it's the trendy thing right now but I have to admit - it was heaven on a plate. Thick slices of wheat bread, smothered in an avocado concoction that was savory and smooth. Topped off with two perfectly cooked poached eggs and a small frisee salad. Terrific wait staff and a really great space. It's expensive, but worth every bite. #Illbeback

Exceptional

By Irene M |

Mariam and rafa, have been exceptional waiters, kindness sympathy and attentive at all times, we will definitely return♥️

Surprisingly good spot for business lunch

By Izzy D |

As expected - short but interesting menu for lunch. Service was prompt as expected but since the place is broken up, it allows for a good conservations

Great setting-pricey meal

By Jim M |

We went to dinner with a friend and his date and loved the setting. There was a cool vibe to place and a comfortable club setting. We had a seat by the fireplace and the service, contrary to other reviews was good. The food was quite good but pricey. The waitress was excellent and gave us good suggestions. The place was full and wondered how these 30-40 year olds could afford this place. Might not come back, but worth a visit.

Very smart restaurant for special occasions

By sally308 |

Recommended by my son this restaurant is fabulous . His friend Adam Cougan is one of the chefs. Very polite and friendly staff, attentive and so welcoming. The food was superb totally recommend the scallops to start and then halibut main. Not cheap but so tasty . Situated in the Edition hotel bottom of Madison Ave. You need to book as very popular .

Very good with reservations

By WestchesterP2 |

Mixed feelings about this restaurant. The food was excellent, prepared well, creative, delicious. We liked everything we ate. Desserts were excellent. The wait staff was ok. The decor is different, the dining rooms were originally the offices of Metlife executives with heavy wood paneling, fireplaces, very old New York corporate. However, when we were greeted at the main entrance on Madison Avenue in a very modern candlelit bar area, we were directed to a long, twisty staircase to get to the dining rooms and never told that the elevators would also take us upstairs. Our guests had not arrived yet, so we were offered the option to wait in the upstairs bar, which we accepted. Except when we got there, all the seats were taken. Then, when we were seated, we were offered a table near the entrance, next to the service station. We chose a different table since only one other table was occupied at the time. Just wondering, does this restaurant ever pull out the chairs to seat their guests because I wasn't helped. The tables are close together and small, too small. The plates are very large and oversized. Thank goodness we had some time to talk when we first arrived, because after the other tables were full, we couldn't talk to each other. And a big surprise, we were given our check before we asked for it and before we were asked if we wanted to order anything else or have a coffee refill. I'm glad I went, probably won't be back. Too hit and miss.

Perfect...

By Stephen K |

Business dinner for over 30 people. The appetizers were wonderful which only made me anticipate what was to come. Even though there was a preselected menu with three entrees, I wanted to get them all but settled for steak. And, boy, did I get steak. The cut appeared to be 2"x3"x6", cooked to perfection, and way too much for me to finish. In fact of all the people at our dinner who ordered the steak, not one person said they were able to finish... But, I'm getting ahead of myself. The scallop ceviche was wonderful and the desert, of what I was able to stuff into myself, was a diet-buster. The presentation of every course was flawless and the service was perfect, anticipating my needs. I would, most happily, make another visit and knowing what I now know, fast for a day or so before sitting down for a repeat of this experience.

Noise and Good Food don't go together

By geert c |

The Clocktower is an elegant restaurant, and my wife and I were looking forward to an excellent dinner and some great conversation about many things we had not been able to talk about because of our divergent schedules. Overall, although the food was of good quality, the noise level in the restaurant was such that a normal conversation was hardly possible. I really liked the pasta with oxtail, 3 cheeses and truffle. My wife's main course was good but not really all that special; and the service was slow, as if we were an after-thought. On the positive side, the waiter gave us (in brought strokes) the recipe for my dish. We have tried it at home and it worked out great. Bottom-line: I am sure they are on to something in that place; but we have decided not to go back there, as a normal conversation was not possible with the noise level; and as a result, we were eating as fast as possible to be able to get out and have a normal conversation somewhere else. What a waste of their cooking talent and our money....

Tik Tok Tik Tok: The Clock Tower

By couplearoundtheworld |

The restaurant is situated on the 2nd floor within The Edition Hotel, by Madison Park, NYC. A group of us gathered to enjoy the mostly reviewed and rated “Fish and Chips” British style in the Big Apple. Hmm, but little did we know that it was only served on the lunch menu hour and not at dinner service. Well, you live and learn. Personally we were disappointed as my husband and I who had just relocated from London to NYC and wanted a taste of the old English – anyway another excuse to comeback to this place at lunch time, hay! Upon walking into the hotel you are greeted by the bar on the right hand side, with a few comfy seats mainly taken up by the young professional crowd of Manhattan. Seems like everyone’s having a good time. The four of us went straight into the restaurant on the upper floors of the hotel. Our host for the evening runs through the specials and disappears with our cocktail orders – oh and for those have you that don’t know the chef here is British and hence the cocktail names. For those Brit’s visiting they will appreciate the cocktail menu, especially the “Del Boy”, he who dares wins…The drinks seemed to have a slight more spirit than I had anticipated, leaving me and our guests slight tipsy, but enough to enjoy the rest of the evening. Our mains varied, between sea bass, duck and off course the fillet mignon. The fact that there wasn’t anything left on anyone’s plate, just spoke for itself (or maybe, we were all too drunk?) No, just kidding. We were all sober enough to appreciate the British inspired menu. As the waiters were in such rush during each course to remove the service we ordered our desert and hot beverages. We cant help, but not comment about the rush of the staff, no wonder they called it the “Clock Tower” time is money and money is time….”this time next year we will be millionaires” (Sorry, that will only make sense to those that are familiar with the character Del Boy from Only Fools and Horses)! Honestly they were removing food off the table as we were eating, that’s not cool!! Let me indulge my food and saveur each bite, without having the thought that it be swept off the table at any given moment. By the way – the bread in this place was unbelievable with the freshly made sea salted butter, so in the event your main is not what you anticipated just order more bread!

Overpromises and under delivers

By eddi10c |

Club room type setting. Slightly pretentious staff that suggest that the service and food will be better than it was. Waiters were friendly but tried to upsell everything from food, extras and wine. The room (of the 3) was noisy. The menu is typical for a grill. I had mac and cheese with ox cheeks followed by pork chop. Everything tasted fatty. Ox cheeks and sauce with the pork. Dont cover meat with a crumb if the fat isnt rendered. Wine list is expensive. Overall you shouldn't think that the best course was the bread.

Fun atmosphere

By Olga V |

Visited for my birthday, very nice lobby for drinking cocktails and having conversation. Dinner was ok, steak was not seasoned. Staff were very attentive and very professional. The billiard room was very nice and its a nice way to finish off the evening. I would definitely return for cocktails.

Do topo da Torre do Relógio para uma explosão de sabores

Great Wellington and Truffle Risotto. The wine list doesn’t disappoint. The atmosphere and decor are great. Might suggest showing off the view… Al Windows were shut. But still wonderful in every way

Struggling to find the good (or Michelin Star)

By 85uktgdf |

My wife and I booked the Clocktower for our first wedding anniversary on New Years Eve. Having read the back story of the chef from the UK and subsequent achievement of a Michelin Star we thought it would be a match made in heaven for us. My wife and I regularly enjoy trips to 1/2 * restaurants in the UK so have a reasonable bench mark for comparison. We are both struggling to see how either of the service or food on that night was anywhere near the level worthy of a Michelin Star. We seemingly grimaced our way through luke warm, over cooked sea food and combinations of flavours and food which Lord only knows how they ended up on the same plate. We were handed a rather impressive looking wine list to be totally blown away by the prices being charged. A complete and utter joke. However this seems to be a common theme both with the Hotel and the restaurant. To summarise we couldn't of been more underwhelmed and disappointment with the experience at the Clocktower.

Christmas/Birthday lunch

By PigletWinnieAndRoo |

We love the Pollen Street Social in London and intend to eat at every Jason Atherton restaurant around the world, (everyone needs a hobby). We booked for Christmas lunch a few months ago to be sure. The Edition Hotel is full of some incredible reportage style photos of faces you’ll recognise. Arrive early and have a look around. The room has a members club feel and feels a little dark, but the music and high ceilings quickly make you feel comfortable. The sommelier has prepared a tasting menu with a Vouvray from the Loire Valley, a Napa Valley Pinot noir and a ... all were excellent. The wine glasses were Riedel from Austria, which we have a home and is a measure of the quality of the restaurant. I could never believe a glass could make a difference to the taste, but just try it and you’ll see it does. We had barata with hint of lime as a starter , New York Strip and duck breast as our main courses. The food was consistently excellent. The service was as good as the food with plenty of attention without hovering. One good example was that they could see my wife was curious about what some white strips were on the Duck and and they asked first, then passed on what the items were. Would we go back? Yes, yes and yes.

Disappointed

By Sonia187065 |

I booked as a surprise for my husband for first breakfast in New York, this trip Was a Christmas present so thought we would start in style!!!! Terrible service and food mediocre at best, if Jason Atheron had walked in he would have had a fit!!! If he didn’t well my estimations were wrong!!! Michelin starred! I don’t think so!!!!!!! What a complete disappointment and waste of money! We have had better breakfasts Around the city for much less and the service was exempalary.

Memorable dining experience

By Jennifer E |

WOW! Wow! Such a lovely experience. Admittedly, I was a little nervous about my choice after reading some of the reviews. I am here to say I am truly baffled by any complaining about the food. My husband and I dined at The Clocktower this evening. It was outstanding in every way. We were seated promptly and made cocktail selections. Our waitress was helpful in describing our drinks and encouraging me to try the Dill or No Dill with gin, as it's made. She assured me it was perfectly balanced and not sweet, with the elderflower syrup. She was so right. What a great cocktail and it worked perfectly with our starters. To start we ordered the lobster cocktail and the scallop ceviche. Both were outstanding. The lobster was perfectly cooked, and the accompanying ingredients worked so well. It was crips, refreshing and rich all at the same time. The scallop ceviche with jalapeño ice was equally amazing. Lighter but the flavors and preparation were spot on. Nothing over powered the other. It was not spicy but had a flavor profile and texture that kept your taste buds in harmony. Our main dishes were both fish. I ordered the sea bass and my husband ordered the halibut. Again, both were outstanding. My husbands was rich and creamy with a nice acidity to the broth. Mine was rich with lobster broth and had a nice brightness with small pieces of grapefruit. There were also perfectly cooked potatoes and seaweed accompany the perfectly cooked sea bass that had a lovely crunchy skin. For desert we ordered the goat cheese parfait. It sounded a little odd but again our waitress said it was amazing. She was right! We were also surprised with the chocolate dessert as a gift from the house. It was rich and wonderful too. Everything, including the cocktails has a layer of interest. The food-textures from crunchy to smooth...warm and cool ingredients. The attention to detail in preparation and combinations is out of this world. The service we received was equally wonderful. Our waitress, originally from Poland, was friendly, knowledgable and just a pleasure. Could not rave about her more. Just wish I would have got her name. The rest of the staff cleared our plates and kept things tidy in a professional and prompt manner. Staff had smiles and were all engaging when engaged. Atmosphere and decor are spot on. So memorable, we will be back on our next trip to NYC.

My kind of restaurant

By gamerbabe55 |

There is certainly an exciting vibe in NYC and this restaurant is that vibe personified. I love restaurants that have a buzz and The Clocktower has a wonderful ambiance from The bar to the multiple dining spaces to the fun billiards room. Everything from the creative craft cocktails to the great staff to the delicious food complete a wonderful experience. The steak was prepared perfectly and my husbands halibut was moist and grilled to perfection. A delicious pumpkin soufle was a spectacular way to finish the meal.

Old Style Meets Modern Chic

By richardj828 |

Set in magnificently decorated rooms the service is top class as are the selection of dishes. It provides for a complete evening out with the bar and billiard room part of the experience.

What a let down

By Kev G G |

My wife and I were really looking forward to our last evening in NYC at the Clocktower. What a let down. Not sure what the restaurant is attempting to be, not sure they know. Fine dining, steakhouse ? who knows. Poor service and random which was not due to being understaffed. No wine order taken and had to ask for the wine menu to be returned. Made to feel undervalued as a customer and that they were doing you a favour letting you dine at the restaurant. Food arrived very quickly and everything felt rushed. Not offered tea/coffee or any drinks after the meal and bill just appeared. On a plus note the food was very good but expensive.

Brilliant Fine Dining Experience In New York

By Lewis Nixon |

During our 4 day trip the NYC we wanted to get at least one really nice restaurant in and choose the clocktower. It did not disappoint... the beef wellington was beautiful with a fine dining service from the staff to match. Reasonably priced too considering it's Michelin star rating.

Not Jason Atherton usual standard

By nycbfd |

I am a huge fan of JA restaurants - Pollen St social is my favourite eatery bar none. When I realised the Edition where we were staying was home to one of his NYC restaurants I could not have been more excited. At the top of the building the restaurant is divided into smaller 'rooms' giving it a gentleman's club feel. The photographic wall art of uk and usa celebrities was stunning and really added to the atmosphere. I struggled to find much on the menu (seafood allergy) and ended up playing safe with a burger. A bit unoriginal for NYC. The truffle infused roasted chicken for 2 was presented beautifully. My friends had oysters which were from different sources - some more tasty than others but once again beautifully presented. Service was slow and not up to JA usual standards. My glass was left empty several times and we had to catch waiters attention. I didn't see the final bill so can't comment on value for money. We had high expectations of the Clocktower but these were not met.

Good English breakfast

By LPJM1981 |

Booked for breakfast as wanted to try another restaurant by chef Jason Friendly service from start to finish. The English breakfast is just what you want before a long day sightseeing. Big portions but maybe the option to hqve the eggs scrambled would be good.

So boring

By RSM |

I was staying at The Edition for the weekend and went in for a quick lunch and nothing that I ordered was palatable. The server was incredibly disinterested and kept making mistakes and generally absent. Unusual for a so-called well rated place.

Creative cuisine

By Peter R |

Cannot fault the service as some other writers have done and the food was unequivocally excellent -- creative, with delicate surprises in the way ingredients are combined (E.g., sea urchin with caviar, on daikon radish with a lime emulsion), and absolutely gorgeous plating. The ambiance is fine dining-casual and the menu choices offer everything from haute cuisine to comfort food. The wine list is also interesting with a good breadth of varietals. What is an issue is if there's a large party in the particular room where you're seated. With all the hard wood surfaces for sound to ricochet off, it becomes truly deafening. Highly suggest you ask what reservations look like for the evening you go. When the frat boy bankers from Credit Suisse next door arrive, you can say goodbye to any semblance of a tranquil evening. P.S. It's curious why everyone behaves impeccably at Eleven Madison across the street, but screams at the top of their lungs here!

Great food!! Noisy.

By CTNYC16 |

My second time here. First time it was so loud we couldn’t hear each other but the food was spectacular!! This time, we were in a smaller room and it was quiet and then a group of 10-12 arrived and the noise again was deafening!! Too bad since the food is some of the best I’ve had.

Michelin starred indeed

By Aonghas65 |

Attended a casual business meal and the food was absolutely stunning- sublime scallops with a light caramelisation and a melt in the mouth texture on a bed of lentils, followed by steak and real chips (not those skinny rubbish) and a dessert made from peas. this did give a peculiar savoury/sweet taste but it was lovely

Pleasant Enough

By Graham C |

We went to The Clocktower for brunch on our last day in NYC. Service was excellent throughout our visit. The cocktails we ordered were very good. The food was ok, but nothing special. My wife had the Fish and Chips (good portion size, but quite ordinary food) and I had the Skirt Steak (a nice piece of steak).

So disappointed

By VickyTins |

We treat ourselves to a Michelin star every now an then. We’re not lucky enough to have loads on our doorstep, there’s only 1 and that’s a ferry ride away to the dark side of Merseyside (i.e. not Liverpool) so whenever we go to London it’s top of the list to book into a few. So when we booked New York with their abundance of starred restaurants we were like pig in sh@t! Booked The Clocktower as it looked classy, theme was excellent and food sounded amazing. The food was outstanding but all this happened........ 1. Sat down, ordered wine, then food (as per) 2. Bread an butter came 3. Food came, but wait....no cutlery or more importantly wine! 4. Knife an fork arrived, started eating (mmmmmmmmm) 5. Had to ask for wine 6. Wine arrived (have ate half the starter) 7. Waited a while for the main, can’t cope at this point because the starter was so quick! 8. Husband went the toilet. 9. Main arrived.....didn’t wait for the husbands return 10. Husband was a while due to a party event....big queue. 11. Ate our main, gorgeous. 12. Dessert menu came, was really lookin forward to cheese. Couldn’t cope though with the disappointment an didn’t wanna have to pay an extra penny so got the bill, left the required tip and left. Overall disappointing due to the service, the staff were so nice and lovely but maybe it was just the fact it was really busy that meant the service suffered.

Very nice atmosphere, great crew

By WendyCo84 |

We’ve had a lovely diner here, the food was very well prepared and served in a fun and different than usual setting. We loved the 2 rooms and the bar, making you feel outside of New York for a little bit. Certainly worth a visit.

An amazing meal!

By Donbethesda |

We arrived early to have a drink at the bar. A nice variety of craft cocktails. We were seated on time and welcomed by a wonderful server. She let us know her favorites (we asked). Make sure you get the mac and cheese! Not what you would expect but fantastic. I had the filet which was cooked to perfection. And they forced dessert on us :) Too much food but all was great!

Truly disappointing

By David M |

We arrived here on Saturday 14th January for a birthday celebration. We were right on time and made to wait in the elevator lobby area on a bench for 10/15 mins whilst our tables previous occupants finished their deserts. This should have been a warning in itself at how incredibly slow the service was. We love to chat, but we also like a personable and attentive server. We were both surprised that this restaurant had a Michelin star. I’ve had similar quality food for much better value and with much better service elsewhere. I’m unsure if they were understaffed this evening, but it seemed like they had a lot of people running around not doing a whole lot whilst only two waiters actually served. The service itself left a bitter taste in our mouths after the meal as we waited at least 15 mins from receiving the bill to actually paying when we had an early flight home the next day. I could hear that other tables had already voiced there disappointment, so didn’t feel the need to add to what was already a spiralling downfall of an evening for the waiting staff. To say we are sadly disappointed is an understatement.

Incredible Gluten Free Experience!

By ShopGirl11_10 |

We had the best time at Clocktower on our recent visit. They could not have been more accommodating on the gluten free front with pillow-soft, housemade bread and the most delicious GF desserts. Every dish we tried was superb, and highlights were the tartar, dover sole, and the pumpkin shuffle. We can't wait to be back!! THANK YOU, Clocktower, for making all of us feel so welcome!!

A lovely atmosphere & great food

By MarcyMarc1980 |

A lovely atmosphere and surroundings for a great Thanksgiving meal! Went for thanksgiving day meal from their special thanksgiving day set menu. The bar area was cosy and full of character and reminded me of an old club in London. A decent range of drinks and cocktails and a good place to have a pre dinner drink. The restaurant area was lovely and sat in front of the fire you would have thought you were in a small cosy London club. The turkey dinner was excellent with good portions and we were provided with a gift to leave. Would recommend Happy thanksgiving

Light diner after late arrival in NYC

By KaJoEh |

Discrete and warm atmosphere in this slightly British colonial style dining room. A well balanced Italian Chianti accompanied the traditional burger meal. All we needed for a happy arrival after our flight from Zurich

Disappointing

By MBLucks |

Having tried some of Jason Atherton's restaurants in London and Dubai I had high expectations.....unfortunately they fell flat. The restaurants was half empty, however the waiter insisted that we sat on a tiny round corner table that meats that plates could not be there at the same time as bread. The starter and main was very good and the sommelier very capable, however the overall service was sloppy and inattentive and pudding (Tarte Tatin) was served cold, chewy and unfresh. When I get a bill that is over $400 and there are these many hiccups, I cannot but feel extremely disappointed and will not go back.

Disappointed

By PassionwithPurpose |

Of the four dishes we had, only one was extraordinary. We started with oysters, which were good, however, the lobster salad we had was not flavorful. I found it to be bland. The halibut was okay. Though in fairness, I do find white fish is hard to cook in a remarkable way. The one stand out dish was the ox cheek macaroni & cheese. That dish was incredible, but did not make up for the rest of the meal.

Wine list incredibly expensive

By World traveler |

I m rewriting my review as my initial review was taken down. The restaurant itself has a typical appealing British style. The food was acceptable but didn’t meet expectations. My shepherd pie was quite heavy. But the biggest turn off was the wine list with astronomical prices beyond any other place I have visited (needless to say where I have been). I found the prices so shocking that I joked about it with our waiter. We ended up ordering one of the cheapest (already expensive) and of course it was not available. Joked with our waiter and expressed my understanding why it was so popular!

Great place for a cocktail!!

By TDS116 |

We stopped in the Clock Tower for a drink . Our bartender was great! We sat at the bar, he took the time to answer our questions concerning wine and cocktails. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and polite. We will be back for dinner next time.

Great (for the most part)

By cyulcfslx |

Visited with business colleagues for a late sitting. Atmosphere is very good - cosy but cool and a really good vibe. Service was high quality, albeit a touch slow at times. On the food front, we all enjoyed our meals. My starter of oysters was disappointing - they were a bit weedy and mangled and lots of shell pieces in them - not opened by a pro. However the filet mignon for the main was top drawer. Slightly overcooked (I asked for rare and it was at least medium rare verging on medium) but it was such a good piece of meat that I had to cut the restaurant some slack. Wine recommendations were good and the overall experience was great. Not cheap but it is New York so didn't feel it was overpriced. Would recommend.

Beautiful room and delicious food

By USCKaboom |

The Clocktower is a beautiful spot next to Madison Square park. I joined some friends for dinner which was thoroughly enjoyable. The sourdough for the table was excellent. The burrata was nice but felt like more of a spring dish. The tomato salad was excellent. I had a fish that was quite good. But we were too full for dessert. Service is attentive and the decor is lovely.

Nice restaurant and food

By FMLB |

Nice place to go in NYC. Venue is very characteristic with wooden walls and paintings. Food is ok and prices in line with such standard. Recommended

Waste of time

By Highness100 |

what a disaster! Fully expecting a lovely brunch, I was truly disappointed when my Fish and Chips came utterly devoid of any seasoning!! Tasteless and badly presented, I was again hard pressed to say a pleasant word about the salad that was shared by my fiend. altogether a very terrible experience. Just go somewhere else.

Brilliant restaurant

By Lilianalilian |

A great dining experience,The service , the food, The ambiance, We couldn’t fault it , It was my husbands 60th birthday and we were given a complimentary glass of champagne, after our meal a little cake with a candle ,It made our evening so special. I couldn’t recommend The Clocktower enough ,excellent.

Comfortably Unusual Experience

By Terry |

This was a birthday celebration for my husband. Wow, were we delighted. I had requested a seating arrangement where we could sit next to instead of opposite each other. (I dislike banquette seating) We were shown to our table as soon as we arrived and it was exactly as I requested, a perfect corner where we could see the entire room. The space is exceptional, former executive offices of a gigantic insurance company. Each room is different with a very old New York feel. Dale, our waiter, was so accommodating and professional. Dinner was exceptional, oysters (so fresh and plump), rack of lamb (juicy and perfectly cooked) and pork chop (all we can say is WOW!) If you are looking for a special place for a special occasion, you will not be disappointed.

Not impressed

By Trip35525 |

I'm only giving this a 3 because my wife and nephew enjoyed their meals. Otherwise my experience was a 2 at best. My $27 cheeseburger was undercooked and overwhelming. We know and love Steven Star restaurants like Le Diplomat. This place does not belong in the same league nor deserve the prices they charge. Sorry we wont we back nor recommend to friends

Could Have Been Excellent!

By FredRo1948 |

I am a great fan of Chef Jason Atherton's restaurants, having dined at 3 of his venues in London, including Pollen Street Social, his flagship. Last night my partner and I made our second visit to Clocktower, Chef Atherton's New York MIchelin starred endeavor that echoes his London venue Berners Tavern in its decor and ambiance. Here, as in London, the food is superb--a creative mix of flavors and textures that almost always work, even when they seem a bit outre! The only thing that prevented an Excellent rating this visit was the service which was well below the Atherton London standard where a wine glass never goes unfilled, finished plates never go uncleared, and staff are around and attentive constantly to each table, working as a well-oiled team to make the entire experience seamlessly diner-oriented. That sense of teamwork, and commitment to the team, seemed absent at Clocktower this trip. Not that service was bad, it just wasn't up to the standard my partner and I have come to expect from Chef Atherton's restaurants. No worries, though, if you go--the food more than makes up for the less than stellar service! PS--the pork chop is to die for!

Excellent food, good service

By Simon H |

We had a great excuse (not that we needed one) to try The Clocktower as we were staying in the hotel. Our first visit was for dinner, and we returned for lunch a couple of days later. The restaurant is similar to another Atherton restaurant - the Berners Tavern - not only for being in an Edition hotel, but also for the style of the décor - all wood panelling and framed prints. It even shares a dish - Mac and Cheese with slow braised ox cheek, mushrooms and parmesan - just sublime, and worth a trip just for this! For dinner, I had the m&c for a starter and my wife had the steak tartare - I think I got the best of this deal but it seemed a close thing - she loved the tartare. We followed with fillet steak and fries, with a side salad. Beautifully cooked, really tender and delicious. A couple of small gripes, one was not really the restaurants fault, one was. We were fitted in at short notice, and the restaurant was full, so we ended up in what appeared to be a room full of business diners - only one woman apart from my wife (the other two rooms were more balanced) and they were talking so loudly about this meeting or that it really made conversation difficult. This was exacerbated when - because of the closeness of the tables - every time the waiter served the table to either side I had to stop eating as I couldn't move my arms without hitting the waiter. And the closeness of their posterior to both table and plate was off-putting. For a restaurant of this price range, I'd like a bit of space. Still the food was stunning, and as I said we went back for lunch - more m&c, steak and best of all much more space as the restaurant wasn't full. Fantastic food, great discrete and friendly service, just a bit of elbow room please!

Good food; beautiful decor

By Dennis B |

We were here for lunch. A nice menu with choices that are familiar but unique. The quality of meal is quite good. Try the fish and chips. The service is attentive. The decor is very interesting. It is the old Met Life office; the high ceilings, wood paneling, and detailed molding are quite impressive. They have many historic photos on the wall and it is fun to try to guess each famous person.

Good food, bad service

By mellymelle |

Reservation for 8:15 pm on a Saturday was made 2 days earlier, restaurant was packed on arrival. Decor was very gentlemen library - looks like a place where the boys would enjoy a scotch and cigar. The restaurant is split into 5 rooms - 3 for dining, 1 is the bar, and another houses a pool table (nice touch). Complimentary bread arrived fresh from the oven, good crust and soft flesh. Seafood tower to start for our group of 4, and this is what you get for $125: 4 oysters, 2 lobster claws, 4 crab claws (very small for "king crab") 4 Maya shrimps, a sauce dish size of each of the oscietra caviar (1/2 tsp of caviar on creme fresh), scallop crudo, shrimp salad, and crab trifle. All the seafood were cooked expertly, and the raw items were fresh. For mains we tried the halibut and duck breast, too bad our group didn't have more varied tastes! My DCs enjoyed the halibut but it was disappointing to me (I order fish fairly frequently). There was nothing wrong with it, but nothing special either, other than the chestnut gnocchi (2 pieces), which was divine. Would've rather had a plate of it as my main. Duck breast was the better one IMO, bold flavours that complimented each other, the breasts were succulent and the confit crispy. Pistachio souffle dessert was well executed. Rich, eggy, delicious, although slightly lacking in pistachio flavour. The complimentary raspberry crisp petite fours were tasty. Service, for the type of restaurant, was bad. Sommelier whispered something to our DC who did the picking but provided zero info to the rest of the table - and 3 of us were sharing. We were seated for a good 20 min before our waiter even came by to say hi. No intro to mains (we did get an intro with the seafood tower) during delivery and no follow-up after delivery. Was another 15 min after our mains were cleared that we were asked about dessert. Not once were we asked if we wanted more beverages until dessert, even though a couple of our glasses sat empty. The restaurant appeared well staffed so not sure what this was about. Server was polite when we managed to have him around. Overall, good enough that I don't regret going, but no reason to return.

Third time not a charm

By Gerald J |

Lunch on a Saturday. Uncomfortably cold even though sat right near the fireplace. Strike one - no sparkling water. Seriously what restaurant does not have sparkling water? Send someone to a 7-11 and buy a few dozen bottles!! Strike 2 - don’t order the Bloody Marys - warm tomato juice & Tabasco. Bottle of vodka waved close to the glass. No celery, no olives, no BM mix, no horseradish. Food however was ok . French fries good. Service was fine.

Breakfast and dinner

By bcheong |

Stayed at the Edition and we had breakfast and dinner here Breakfast was a la carte and hearty. On xmas day, all the waitering staff did not turn up and the manager had to do everything 8/10 For dinner, we arrived 25 min late from our room and the staff were whinging. The restaurant was only half full though. The 3 course meal had small portions and the taste unremarkable 6/10

Perfect Dinner !!

By Jeff W |

Our dinner at the Clocktower Restaurant was nothing short of perfect. I started with the Brooklyn Burrata, which was light and refreshing. For my entree, I had the Braised Atlantic Halibut, which was cooked perfectly with wonderful different tastes. My dining partner had the Long Island Duck Breast and it was outstanding. For desert, we shared the Pink Lady Apple Tart for 2 and it was a perfect end to our dinner. Service was outstanding and the ambiance was great

Fine dining in a great space

By Timothy P |

We don't do a lot of fine dining, but we opted for the Clocktower as part of a theme on our trip to NYC to see the Back to the Future musical. The ambiance is welcoming: music at appropriate levels, dim lighting, and very beautiful woodwork and steampunk-inspired decor all around. The staff really goes out of their way to give you a fine dining experience. Our water glasses never got empty, and the service team kept our table clean and everything in its right place. When it comes to fine dining I'm often left impressed, but hungry. The Clocktower served up generous portions of every dish, to the point that we had to forego dessert. My NY strip was cooked perfectly, and paired with a red wine au jus that made me wish I hadn't finished my bread. My partner's beef wellington was a fantastic medium rare, and I don't think I've ever had whipped potatoes that tasted so good. Overall it was an amazing experience, and we left satisfied and happy.

Just not worth the price

By madeupusername |

Went for a business dinner in early May. Had terrific experiences at the Matador, the Edition's Miami cousin. Thought I would give the Clocktower a try. Just nothing special. I suppose this a cool hip place and that's what it's about. Food was ok. Menu is limited. Prices are absurd.

Fine Dining with impressive menu and a variety of dining spaces

By expectquality1942 |

It was restaurant week so a spectacular three course menu was wonderful and affordable. The regular menu is expensive, but worth it. Imaginative current food; it is impressive. The space feels British and it is on the dark side, but that is intended. Service is impeccable.

FABULOUS!!!!!

By Brian P |

My husband & I we’re meeting another couple for dinner here. We got there a bit early so we checked our things and went to the pool table room which was just off the bar area. We had a lovely waitress serving us drinks and it was great to get in a few games while we waited. The bar area was just as nice and if that was the only option would’ve been perfect too. Once our friends joined we were seated in a lovely large dining room. We were seated at a round table which was perfect for 4ppl to have a conversation. The room had very high ceilings and was quite beautiful. Our drinks were great and the dinners were amazing. All 4 of us enjoyed the experience. I would HIGHLY recommend coming here and I already look forward to my next visit.

Pleasantly surprised

By www.DinedThereSippedThat.com |

Booked lunch here because it was a Michelin stared restaurant, but once I realized it was a hotel restaurant my expectations dropped....Was pleasantly surprise. Great burrata/beet salad, gnocchi & dessert. Service was definitely lacking for a one Michelin star restaurant, but didn't ruin the meal. Would definitely recommend it!

Good food with limited menu

By dfc9258 |

This was my second visit to the Clocktower. Our first impressions as great at the ladies at the reception desk were all beautiful and fabulous and friendly which made us feel good. We were sat in the Icon room which has lots of great photos of Hollywood icons which were fun to look at. Our server was Dominic and although he seemed pleasant and professional, he was working really hard to keep up with all of the demanding people. We ordered a crab and avocado appetizer which was just ok, and then our entries were served about 20 minutes later. It seemed like they just forgot about us even though they were very quick to clear our plates once we finished a course. Food was decent, but a bit high for what you get. Service is good but this place gets busy so make sure you have a reservation. The decor is fun and warm. Very limited menu.

Delicious food in a lovely atmosphere

By LiziNR |

Interesting and delicious food all perfectly prepared. Helpful sommelier. Will definitely go back. Service was spotty and we had to wait about 30 mins for our order to be taken - which was the only negative about the whole experience.

It's good but ok

By IraAllen |

I've heard a lot about this restaurant so I tried it for dinner with a client. Maybe I'm missing something, but I am not sure what the fuss is all about ... The food was good, the service efficient and friendly in a NY sort of way. The menu is interesting but sort of all over the place. But the restaurant was crowded and very noisy. For the price I've had much better in NYC.

Saturday brunch, nothing special

By Stride_adventures |

We visited the clocktower for Saturday brunch a couple of weeks ago. My husband and I both had the full breakfast which was ok but nothing special. As they brought over the very well presented, delicious looking dessert trolley I was confident this would win us over but what I ordered then turned up as an overcooked slab of sponge with no effort put into the presentation at all. We left disappointed!

Started so well

By JimmyARip |

Staying at the Edition, we tried the clock tower restaurant. The starters, steak tartare & scallops where very good. The main, a dover sole to share was terrible. Tough as old boots & ruined with a butter sauce. Mike Tyson wasn’t this tough! Best thing was the chips, but when you pay 200 dollars for a meal.........

Fun Evening

By leefr |

After climbing a massive, winding staircase we were met with an array of homey, pub-style dining rooms. I have tried to replicate the pork chops I had that night for dinner, even ordering Berkshire pork from the butcher. Tried my companions dinners and I was impressed, but we all agreed the pork chops were outstanding. Didn't order dessert as descriptions were not enticing, but when they came out dessert looked good. Could be noisy.

REAL PROBLEMS FOLKS.. Frozen and microwave food being passed off as fine dining... STAY AWAY

By Paul Saulino |

Hello - our party dined at the Clocktower Friday July 22, 2022. It was a highly anticipated meal coming on the heals of a long work week, amongst friends and colleagues, and some well needed time for relaxation. So.. up until the point we ordered our meals, things seemed normal. Then, the problems started. First, it seemed to be taking an inordinate amount of time to bring our appetizers (I did not order an app but the other members of our party did), and as such the desire for bread presented itself. Noting other tables had received bread 15 minutes before we did, a request was made. After another 10 minutes and no apps or bread, a 2nd request was made. After another 10 minutes and nothing, we asked and were told "it's coming". Five minutes later and the bread arrived. And arrived it did. The outside was hot, crusty, and looked nice - until we broke into it, and the center was COLD. And by that, I mean ICE cold. Clearly, the bread was frozen and reanimated. Whilst I would not make a huge deal about bread in a meal such as this (they did eventually replace it with bread that was hot, though but clearly still not fresh), it was a harbinger for the next step in the meal. Two of us ordered the Halibut; when the Halibut finally came out (accompanied by a table side nape drizzle of lemon beur blanc), a quick sampling of the dish revealed a MUCH larger problem. 1.) the fish was barely luke warm with the sauce slightly hotter; 2.) the consistency of the fish exposed itself as being previously frozen and potentially microwaved. The texture and flavor were off, and reminded me of the frozen fish you would buy in a super market, more specifically Trader Joe's. Now, I will say that I do have expertise in the area of food preparation, so for me, I do not say these things lightly. Also, taking a step back, everyone knows that COVID hurt many establishments and that not all came back the same as they were before. Perhaps this is the case with the Clocktower? However, the observed abundance of managerial staff on the floor would lead me to believe that may not be the case. Nonetheless, we were offered, and declined to have our entrees remade; as a kind and appreciated apology, they comped our drinks and apps. This helped somewhat, but the bottom line: Caveat Emptor.

Breakfast is amazing

By barbj2014 |

Breakfast is delicious from the sconces to the coffee. They have an assortment of choices from eggs to avacado toast and homade sconces. The atmoshere is like an upscale English home and you are eating in the library. Dinner feels special and would be good for a date, but the prices are very high.

Very special meal Christmas Day

In Madison Square Park a very special restaurant The Clocktower two years old Ambience spectacular, food is very very good. Service a little slow snobby

A disappointing experience

By Samuel L |

We stayed in the the Edition Hotel and had heard quite a lot about the Clock Tower. We were told we could not get a table until 9:30PM: it was very late but we wanted to tr it so we agreed. We did not get dinner until 10:30PM: after our orders were placed the food did not arrive until one hour later. My sea bass was totally tasteless: certainly would not recommend it. My wife ordered duck and she really enjoyed it. A disappointing experience. Did not return: cancelled our 2 reservations for the next 2 days.

GREAT Food

Fish and chips with mashies were great. Bread before the meal was amazing and the complementary desert was out of this world good.

Great drinks at the downstairs bar.

By conradusa |

We had an excellent bartender which really helps. Drinks were great. Bartenders were friendly and knowledgable. Offered us a free chicken tender appetizer, the best I've ever had. Not your fast food type. Great place to have a drink meeting. It's upscale and expensive.

Table of 8

By Peter R |

A fabulous late dinner here was a fitting coda to an evening meeting. The Som was great in recommending an excellent magnum of champagne and chablis to follow. And the francophone waiter was beyond superb. The east and west coast oysters wowed us, the mains were excellent, and then the selection of desserts we shared was outstanding with the tarte tartin being the one that forks dived towards for seconds. This restaurant eptitomes fine dining with a casual vibe. Highly recommend it!

Best Restaurant

Special place, special service

By asia6666 |

I grabbed an early dinner last night. First time, but I am a regular at Atherton restaurants around the world - and they are all good (way better than Gordon Ramsey). Last night , they overlooked the filet, so first they offered to change it, then in the end , they gave me the food for free. Great gesture , great service. I will be back.

Interesting restaurant with a good menu - not huge but good. Well-designed restaurant with a smaller bar. Very pleasant evening.

Disappointing

By villagesq |

Apart from the restaurant’s ambience – which is cozy and atmospheric – our lunch at The Clocktower was a serious disappointment. Bloody marys seemed to have been poured out of a can, bypassing the mixologist completely; the drinks may have contained a teaspoon of vodka, although that’s giving the restaurant the benefit of the doubt. (Our server had offered the unsolicited warning that “they’re spicy,” apparently thinking that that would prompt us timid diners to make an order switch; in reality, the drinks were among the most bland and boring marys in memory.) Greasiness rendered fish and chips (both components) soggy, unfairly resurrecting the now outmoded reputation of English food. Macaroni and cheese was okay, although the wild mushrooms component failed to impart sufficient umami to produce an interesting dish. Our server was at once mildly condescending (see bloody mary comment above) and lacking in knowledge (correcting my wife when she observed that HP and worcestershire sauce share a flavor connection (tamarind)). He also allowed our wine glasses to remain empty for long periods. At meal’s end, “iced” cappuccinos arrived with just two ice cubes in each; the pathetic cubes were no match for the coffee’s heat, and in a couple of minutes they predictably expired, leaving a glass of unpleasantly lukewarm liquid. The Clocktower’s prices (at least for lunch) are high even by New York standards, and none of the lapses referenced above are acceptable for a restaurant at that price point. Those up for a British gastropub experience should pass up the Clocktower in favor of the delightful Spotted Pig in the West Village, with food that consistently rivals the best we’ve had in Britain.

Having eaten at le Gaveroche,

By Sawstongirl |

Having eaten at le Gaveroche, hand and flowers, midsummer house, fat duck and others we were expecting great things and were bitterly disappointed. The restaurant was noisy the food was mediocre and underwhelming. The service was no better than a chain restaurant with no attention to detail - poor and 4 disappointed ladies

Pleasant Biz Lunch

By 973B |

Very rich menu and I wanted something light so I had the beet/chicken salad and was really impressed on how delicious it was! It is not really an entree, but what it lacks in size it made up in taste, texture and presentation. Guests had halibut and steak and were very satisfied. Wood detail that look original are beautiful and there isn't a bad table.

Outstanding

By Fengshuidiva |

The ambience is eclectic and yet old school at the same time. The food was creative and delicious. I totally recommend the soufflé at the end. The bar downstairs is very cool too!

Hot food is good food

By TheFunFoodie |

This is the restaurant in The Edition Hotel. The first morning we ate here it was okay. The pancakes were really good. Just our food was cold... like the butter wouldn’t melt (at all) in the oatmeal. That’s pretty cold. The next morning it went from cold to worse. They poured our coffee and didn’t come back for TWENTY minutes with the cream. It was kind of cold at that point. Give me a break. The waiter had such an attitude. Like sorry I want SLIGHTLY warm coffee. Dare to dream!

Food was nice, let down by service!

By WydcombeAdventures |

We chose to eat here on Christmas Day as we wanted something special but it didn’t meet our expectations. I appreciate it was Christmas Day but the staff were miserable and unfriendly. We were put on a table right next to the waiter cupboard which they slammed shut every minute. Asked for a drink with no ice and it came with ice. Felt like our daughter was not welcome, she is six and very well behaved and used to eating in restaurants. Eventually asked to moved tables and felt like that was a chore for them. Food was lovely but I was reassured that there would be a vegan/vegetarian meal availabile when I booked via email but turns out there was just one option for starter and main and they just took the meat off the original dish. Dessert was absolutely delicious, highlight of the meal. Didn’t get our bread until after our starters which I thought was odd. Perhaps we came on the wrong day and it would be better on a regular evening. I will say that there is a lovely bar area with pool table which was nice to chill at after the meal and the building itself outside is spectacular. Lovely walk to the flat iron after.

Amazing Breakfast!

The Clocktower is an elegant restaurant with classic decor and plays relaxing music! Had the Lobster Omelette! Wow it tasted amazing! The omelette was cooked to perfection and lobster was so fresh! The dish is complimented by a lobster hollandaise!

Thanksgiving Time

By L.N. |

We stayed at the hotel for a special holiday around Thanksgiving. I believe The Clocktower restaurant is a separate business, but hotel and restaurant worked as a team to make our stay as comfortable as possible following an unfortunate accident. The restaurant comprises of several atmospheric rooms filled with iconic photographs of the famous. We ate breakfast in the restaurant each day and particularly enjoyed the fruit, granola and yoghurt plus the Eggs Benedict. For Europeans, beware the large portions – each choice is designed to be a complete meal whereas we are more accustomed to having several lighter courses of fruit, juice then cooked breakfast. Our only criticism was the arctic a/c that appeared to reinstate itself as soon as it was turned off. On the evening following my accident, the restaurant manager, James, found us waiting for a table suitable to my invalided state. He and his staff acted with enormous generosity and kindness from that moment, alerting the hotel to my predicament. That evening, we ate from the normal restaurant menu and, though I was unable to enjoy anything due to pain, my husband loved his choices from the a la carte menu. We had booked the special dinner for Thanksgiving and, with pain more under control, we decided to make the most of the one part of our holiday that could not be spoiled. The courses were thoughtfully created and very well balanced showing off the skills of the chef, Jason Atherton, in creating a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with a delicious modern twist. The restaurant touched and surprised us with their next gesture which I will not detail here – but they know and for which we truly thank them. We were so impressed by both hotel and restaurant, we plan to come back when good health returns to do it all again properly.

Possibly the worst meal I have ever experienced

By Heidi10 |

Probably the worst meal I’ve ever had! Bread that was warm on the outside and frozen in the middle. Halibut that was cold in the middle and didn’t taste fresh. We didn’t eat the meal, we’re comped our drinks and left. I spent all evening trying to get the bad fishy taste out of my mouth! I’ve eaten here previously and it was great so I took some friends back. It’s not even good gastro pub standard compared with the uk that it seems to model itself on! Ps this is not a front of house service staff issue, frankly they seemed embarrassed. The overabundance of suited oversight on the floor doing absolutely nothing felt oppressive.

Three stars, tops

By RGSOUNDF |

Yet another big enigma of how Michelin Guide operates in NYC, and what criteria are being used. Now, we may have thought - as an excuse for the Clocktower - that the restaurant's dinner is what makes it special, and our brunch and breakfast are not representative of the establishment as a whole, but we have tried - on two separate occasions - eight different dishes, so our assessment is accurate. If it is not, and the restaurant's dinner is so much superior to their brunch and breakfast, then the latter meals shouldn't be served not to ruin the alleged reputation of the Clocktower. Nothing specifically wrong about the Clocktower, but nothing is equally great about it. Out of eight dishes we got to sample, only the Chilled Maine Lobster (an appetizer offered for $32) was qualified to be very good, a true specimen of what haute cuisine should be like. The other appetizer (Crab on Toast, offered for $26) was decent but nothing more than that. Everything else was very very average, with no twist, no daring, no fantasy, and apparently not so much of an effort. The brunch main course, Skirt steak and Chips ($39) was on par with what other 90% of NYC (and not only) restaurants offer, and for much lesser price at that. The Roasted Mushroom, Goat Cheese and Spinach Omelette was mediocre, with no discernable mushrooms, goat cheese nor spinach. Our brunch desserts, both the Custard and Almond Tart and Zucchini Tart were not bad, but could have easily come from a Pret-A-Manger around the corner. And, as noted by other reviewers, the place is more than overpriced. A glass of 2011 CHÂTEAU LA TOUR DE MONS that retails at $22 for a bottle was offered at $25 a glass. The service was good, but, again, nothing memorable. The interior features interesting enfilade, a suite of succeeding dining rooms that slightly differ in design, but the decor is very reminiscent of a chan restaurant, or - we will give it to the Clocktower - a chain steakhouse, with the same generic photographs of bygone New York. Three stars are given for the restaurant's Chilled Maine Lobster. Otherwise it would have honestly merited 2 stars.

This is it!

Forget about skipping this restaurant. It would be a great mistake. NYC must go to place for drinks, food, atmosphere and just about all the dining experience you need for a NYC visit.

Hidden Gem in the City

By Mike C |

I stayed here for a business trip during March and was stuck in the hotel during the blizzard, which shut down the city for the day. I had my breakfast and dinner meals here and both were fantastic experiences. Top quality food and service. The venue itself is pretty unique as well. I would recommend visiting at least one if you're in the city.

Amazing bread/butter

By X375IEelizabethg |

For some reason their bread/butter was mind-blowing. The mac and cheese is not at all like regular mac and cheese, but it is amazing, highly recommend it.

Slooowwww service, gorgeous settiing

By hazel608 |

Late lunch, no one there, hour long wait, maybe longer, staff eating in dining room...place needs to improve things but wow, beautiful setting and no excuse for excruciatingly long wait, for drinks, food, wrong order. Staff was lovely, but mushrooms not fully cooked. Probably great place for drinks and nibbles, but needs to tighten up the slow wait for food. Not waiters fault, so must lie in kitchen. They should bring out so,ething to tide over hungry folks!

Nice brunch

By Ignacio B |

Cool setting, vintage decoration and loads of British Vibes. The service was on point and the food was delicious, even though the burrata is ridiculously small. The wine list is excellent. Very happy in general, we’ll be back!

Great meal, good atmosphere, trendy bar

By simonwlondon |

We went as a family with two young children. The meal was really very good, service excellent and the decor - whilst not quite as British as it tries to be - nonetheless was a lot of fun. Worth going just for the bar.

So motivated to write this review!

We’ve had several outstanding meals at this Steven Starr restaurant- but last night was a truly memorable experience thanks to our server, Marta. We came in for a late night meal after a nightmare flight from Tampa ( we were rerouted to Norfolk, Va. and grounded there for six hours) We were exhausted and stressed and the worst of it was we had missed our Bruce Springsteen on Broadway concert and couldn’t resell them as we were traveling so out that money. ( and now will probably not have the opportunity to see him) . So we couldn’t have been in a worse mood. Thank goodness we were lucky enough to have Marta as our server. I don’t know how she was able to transform our mood but thanks to her sweet and upbeat and kind nature she did it! We are sad we won’t be able to see her again this stay as she is traveling to her native Poland, but we will be sure to ask for her our next time. This restaurant is very lucky to employ her ! The manager is also great. And I haven’t mentioned the food or ambience which are respectively really wonderful. Never have had a less than stellar meal and the decor, with great photos of Hollywood icons, is fun and interesting.

Fantastic

Experience a British atmosphere overlooking Madison Park , in New York

By colon33 |

The ambiance at first is warm with a certain British touch; located in the NY Edition hotel with its walls covered with wooden panels and extensive photography, which relates either to famous people or City scenes. The staff seems very busy , walking around with trays or drinks, back and forth.. However the service lacks a certain coordination. I had ordered an aperitif which only came after my appetizer. The appetizer was the only dish to my taste and showed some creativity. It was foie gras parfait with lentils du puy,, The main dish Roasted Atlantic cod, braised baby leeks, hazelnut and chive hollandaise was nothing to rave about, and the creamsicle panna cotta, tangerine, yogurt sponge cake was not to be mentioned..

Fun night out

By Rob Z |

This really is a fun place to come for dinner. The bar and purple pool table were lively and fun. The Foie Gras was the best app of the group we had. The duck breast and confit was the winner for dinner. All of the desserts were great. I would highly recommend for a night out with friends. We had a blast

Impressive

By Sara S |

My husband and I had dinner at The Clocktower the Sunday of Labor Day weekend as part of my birthday trip. This was my first experience at a Michelin Star restaurant and I can see why they received the recognition. The food was incredible and the service was outstanding. My husband ordered the Scotch egg, Shephard's pie, and sticky toffee pudding and is still talking about this meal 2 weeks later. I ordered the fish and chips and the strawberry meringue dessert and they were great. The service was top notch - we were trying to decide on a bottle of wine and the server did a great job of asking a few questions to help confirm our selection. I look forward to coming back to NYC and eating at The Clocktower again!

Not to be missed. Great

By barranqtraveler |

Excellent food, it is a mix of comfort food dishes taken to a haute cuisine level and some haute cuisine dishes, expertly executed. Framed in a convivial but posh ambience that works very well for either a romantic dinner or a friends gathering occasion. One of the best eating experiences you will find actually in NY. Deserves by far the michelin star awarded to them. My fourth visit in 6 months, and I don’t live in NY. Don’t miss it

Great food, wonderful ambiance

By LoisNCNY |

We were fortunate to have several meals here. Our first was a dinner. It was wonderful! I started with a lobster appetizer and was surprised to see a generous amt of lobster beautifully presented. My husband had a salmon dish he raved about. My husband and I both loved our entrees. Despite being full, the dessert menu called out to us. The pistachio soufflé was wonderful. We enjoyed the dinner so much, we booked a lunch because we learned they have a special lunch menu for restaurant week. Because we are staying in the hotel this restaurant is located in, we got to have some excellent breakfasts as well. The staff is terrific, and the rooms are classically beautiful.

We really enjoyed the ambiance and the great food

By voyager9Us |

My wife and I enjoyed The Clocktower much more than some of the other reviewers seem to have. I'm used to New York's high prices and didn't find the restaurant prohibitively expensive by any means. It is an English style restaurant and the prices are in line with what one would pay for a good meal in London. I loved the Churchillian feel to the restaurant with the wooden walls and the pictures of well-known celebrities. It was kind of fun trying to figure out who was who. The restaurant was comfortably warm when we were there and they had sparkling water from Wales. The foie gras appetizer from the Hudson valley was mouth-wateringly good and the main course of fish and chips with mushy peas was as good as you would get in London. My wife really enjoyed her yellowtail tuna. We would definitely go back.

Dinner

By peakdistricttravel |

Very nice rooms for this restaurant. Super chimney piece and plasterwork in room. Staff very professional. Food really well presented and was excellent. Very European feel to the menu with a New York twist, nice to have European portion size! Would have been excellent but for excessive music volume from the bar next door!

Solid

By Ritz1165 |

Well thought out food using market ingredients. Attentive staff. Clubby rooms. Good bar. Excellent steak. Delicious mushrooms cooked impeccably atop a decent risotto. Helpful sommelier. Bring a date, your kids, your parents or a big group.

Very disappointing- doesn't deserve the hype.

By Ian |

My wife and I went to celebrate a milestone event. Whilst the venue was fine, although very noisy, and the service was very good, the food to say the least was a disappointment. The entrees were good, but avoid the steak and the 'triple cooked' chips. For what is regarded as an international restaurant to be offered ketchup for soggy chips, salad- chopped lettuces from any grocery store and no condiments for the steak was ordinary to say the least. After asking for mustard it turned out to be mustard suitable for a hot dog. After asking for fresh chips, the replacement was no better. Don't be conned into paying the recommended 18-20% tip for an ordinary meal. Give the tip directly to the waitperson for the quality of their service.

Amazing place

By Yjyj2 |

Love the lobby of the hotel, which apparently has a bar too, and absolutely love this restaurant and their bar too. High ceiling, great decor, quiet - which is a rare find in NYC.

Wonderful meal!

By beckilou91 |

My partner and I were guests of the New York Edition, so making a reservation was extremely easy! The atmosphere and decor of the restaurant was extremely chic, so lovely with different rooms furnished in different colours. The staff were extremely attentive and welcoming. The food was delicious, my partner had the steak and I had the duck a combo most couples seemed to be choosing, was my nicest meal in New York (and we had some posh dinners haha)! Felt the price was reasonable for what we ordered too!! We revisited again for lunch time, recognised by some of the staff which was a nice personal touch! Would definitely recommend.

Nice but not great

By dns112017 |

We dined at The Clocktower this past Saturday night. Expectations were set high by the establishments high overpriced menu. Wow. Food was good but portions extremely minimal. We grabbed a bite to eat an hour later at Starbucks. Love music but the music played at the restaurant way to loud and everyone had to shout in order to converse. Waiter service not good - we had to repeat every thing to our waiter 2x - and he still got it wrong. Icing on the cake is that we received a dessert cheese platter ($27) and cheese on the platter was ripe with mold. Had to send it back. I suggest a bit of quality control and re-evaluation of menu, pricing, atmosphere and service in order here.

Nothing really amazing

By MABM917 |

Second time here in one or two years. During the first visit it was insanely packed. It was at the time probably THE new spot. This time, pretty empty - on a Sunday during the holidays. I only had a few drinks at the bar. They were pricey but pretty normally priced for NYC. It is beautifully and simply appointed and the staff is nice. Just nothing really amazing about this place.

Really cool bar

By Melissa |

This is one of the last bar I have visited in NYC. I went there to grab some drinks with colleagues and it was the perfect atmosphere. The cocktails were really good to go. I don't drink a lot, and I am not a big fan of cocktails in general, but the bartender really tried to understand what I wanted, what I liked and what I disliked, and came up with the perfect drink ! Would go back again.

Quirky take on English cuisine

By josef_travels |

OK. I'm not a big fan of modern british food, even with all the new effort to eat healthy but I'm game when a restaurant gets so many great reviews. Atmosphere: this place is an 11! The bar scene and the rooms are people watching heavens. Staff are extremely helpful and patient. Food: this is where I think the place gets only 4 stars not the 5. The quail/pigeon pie was fabulous. Worthy of any pub in London. The Halibut was solid. Nothing you couldn't find elsewhere. The striped bass was a bit tastier. Our "lamb" diner said it was another good dish, but not one she'd remember the next day. We wanted to try the "chicken social" or "chicken for two but at $90 it seemed a bit pricey and our waiter didn't seem convinced we should go for it over the fish. Wine was well paired with meals - based on waiter's recommendation. Had an interesting "fresh non alcoholic" soda. Always fun to try something All in all, seemed a bit pricey for what we ate, but in NYC, maybe not. And if you throw in the free entertainment of watching the bar scene, well, maybe worth the price. DJ spinning in the lobby bar as we walked out. Stayed for another drink. Possibly worthy of it's own review.

Excellent service

I enjoyed a wonderful evening in this restaurant with colleagues. The food was modern and of very high quality. The staff and service have been very friendly.

Typical Jason Atherton syle restaurant - great food

By 528jean |

We're big fans of Jason Atherton restaurants in the UK and were keen to try The Clocktower while we were in NY. We were not disappointed with the food being of excellent quality - especially the lamb, and fish main courses. The waiter was pleasant as well and took care to make sure every dish was explained as it was delivered. We were surprised that the restaurant wasn't so busy - visitors and business men are missing out on a NY gem. We'll be back next time we visit NY.

Worth checking out.

By vimatravel |

Hip and cool. Talented bar staff and nice service. The food has a upscale British Pub vibe . It’s a nice dining option if your a guest of the Edition Hotel.

Delicious business lunch

By Pamela A |

Food: The salad appetizer was delicious. I went for an event so not sure what type of salad it was. We all had a choice for entrees. I chose a burger with bacon and it was everything! The fries were good. They're longer than most fries and the sorbet was good. Service: One of the best servers! Everyone was attentive and treated us very well. Decor:The decor is incredibly and I really like it. I would definitely return for a fancy occasion.

Great service, food and environment!

Mahdi offered great service, and treated us like royalty (including my kids!). Great, interesting environment with tons of interesting pieces. Food was excellent as well!

Bravo Atherton

By WorldTravellerFirst |

I am not a fan of hotel restaurants as a rule, even those fronted by Michelin star chefs as they rarely live up to expectations. The Clocktower is an exception however to that rule and this outpost is a credit to Jason Atherton and his brigade who delivered a very good and memorable dining experience for myself and an elderly friend on New Years eve. My only criticism would be the curious wine pairing on the night which was a little too adventurous and didn't work for my taste. Beautifully cooked food and quite exceptional beef fillet and chocolate mousse were the menu highlights for me.

Breakfast/brunch

By Ryan C |

Nothing can be taken away from how perfect the food is . Presentation is on point as is taste . Well balanced , beautiful dishes in a stunning building in one of New York’s most famous areas . The only issue I had was that the breakfast / brunch menu isn’t too well thought of , only a few “breakfast “ type dishes to choice from . Lobster Benedict was underwhelming . I was intrigued to see how good the bacon sarnie would be , but not intrigued enough to spend $21 to find out . The yellow fin ceviche was beautifully presented .,Although , again , I question why it’s on a breakfast menu . I think I would of enjoyed my experience more had I come for diner .

Terrible breakfast

By Chloe S |

My husband and I just had a terrible breakfast and experience here. The $16 so called "steel cut oats" was mushy, cold and had brown bananas. My husband did not receive the right order and it took 45 minutes to correct a simple egg order. His toast was then obviously cold and I had eaten 30 minutes before. The staff tried to help by bringing us fruit but it was like a comedy of errors. If staying at the New York Edition, I recommend finding somewhere else to eat.

Underwhelmed

By Craig H |

If I had known this was a hotel restaurant, by one of my own rules, I would not have come here. If you manage to get someone's attention as you enter, you will be directed to a marble spiral staircase - the entire space cold and lifeless. Clearly some effort went into creating this upscale proper gentlemen's club feel, but how warm and inviting does that sound? Its not. The menu seemed equally staid, and for reasons I don't understand you can't have fish and chips on the weekend (we were told its their must try dish by someone else). In any event, the menus, and presentation were as staid as the surroundings. The service was overall nice, but somewhat spotty. The food itself screamed of we made up a batch of these in advance - nothing fresh or exciting at all. Lunch mains for 2, no alcohol or desert was over $80.

Hard to Interpret Menus

By Francis McInerney |

Great location and layout but the menus are super misleading. For example, what was billed as Sheppard's Pie was in fact an interestingly prepared chicken breast with a small, not very interesting, pie on the side. Strange attempt to make everything sound English in an attempt to be sophisticated. Better to just rename the dishes. Costs nothing and improves service.

Worth its star

By Jarb1946 |

I guess the decor was meant to resemble an old restaurant with pictures hung all over the walls and a lot of dark wood. I was predisposed not to like the place and then the freshly baked sourdough arrived followed by the roasted cauliflower dish, see below. By then I was convinced the place was worth its star.

High prices for "OK" food and service.

By KEJ-JTS |

The prices are high and the menu selection was not very appealing to us. We expected a restaurant at this price point to have better service.

Quite satifying

By Wilson L |

Had been here a few times. The last one wasn't so great but figured to give it another shot. My burata was somewhat dry, but main course (burger) was delicious. My dining companions both had the heirloom tomatoes for appetizers and they were good, alogn with their cods. The Apple crumble desert was OK...a more traditional one would had been better. Service was very good. Sommelier was wonderful.

Go once

By AmyC723 |

Great atmosphere. Cool bars. You definitely want to hang here. Decor is very elegant clubby. Loved that. I found the menu to be somewhat limiting. Our group of four decided to pass on starters and we shared the two “social” dishes. The food was good but not memorable and not worth the prices charged. Go once. Or, go for a drink at the bar (I’m assuming you can do that).

Amazing steaks and great seevice

By Alison P |

We celebrated our anniversary here tonight and the staff was so kind and attentive. The steaks were out of this world; we ate here 3 years ago and didn’t forget it. Highly recommended the 40 day aged steak!

Great Fireside lunch

By Margaret S |

The occasion was a late lunch with an old friend from London. We thought the British theme would be fun, along with the fireplace, for our reunion. It was not only the coldest (sub-zero) day of the year, it was also the first day of Restaurant Week. (Two courses for $26). The Clocktower was the perfect choice in every way! We each had the yellowtail in a spicy ginger gelee to start. It was delicious and beautifully presented. We both considered the cod next but due to the British nature of the get together and the cold weather, we had the sheperd's pie. It was small but again delicious and beautifully presented. I had a glass of wine and my friend had a cocktail and they were both very expensive. The house chardonnay was $31. I just had a fresh dry white, suggested by Marta, our lovely server. There are billiards next door and I think they are complimentary. There is also a separate bar. All the spaces were full and the atmosphere was so lively and cozy at the same time. Wonderful memory made at a one Michelin starred venue in a great location!

Fine Dining but in a Relaxed Atmosphere

By Tabascoleathergrain |

Given that my wife is a fan of Jason Atherton's recipes, we decided to celebrate the end of an 8 day visit to NYC in style. I am pleased to say that we were not disappointed and every dish was excellent - as others have previously commented, the sourdough bread was especially superb although so much so that we ate it all and were unable to face the very tempting dessert menu as a consequence. Every dish was cooked to perfection and in line with our stated preferences where requested. Having consumed an aperitif each prior to sitting at the table, and then ordering cocktails, we found we did not want any wine to accompany the food . Doubtless, this helped keep the cost down but I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the overall bill came to less than $200, not much more expensive than several very nice, but not fine dining, meals that we had eaten previously. All aspects of interaction with staff were excellent including the meet-and-greet at reception, the bar staff and everyone in the dining room. Their pleasant demeanours ensured that the whole experience was informal and relaxed. The only issue we had was that although I provided the bartender with a credit card to start a tab for the aperitifs, I was not made aware that he had taken for the drinks. When presented with the food bill, therefore, I pointed out that the aperitifs had not been included on the bill and as a result ended up paying twice for them. This only became apparent on my return to England but reimbursement has now been made, albeit after a lengthy passage of time due primarily to misdirected email correspondence.

Interesting Restaurant

By GoldnAdvice |

Located in The Edition Hotel, this restaurant has an interesting layout. It consists of several rooms, as well as a bar area and a pool table room. The decor is mostly dark wood, with framed photographs of famous people. Overall it has a masculine feel. The menu is quite extensive but I'm not sure what kind of cuisine it is. They had everything. Seafood, steak, etc... They were able to accommodate my gluten free issues and overall the food was very good. The service was ok. They forgot to bring us bread and when my husband inquired why everybody was getting freshly baked bread and we were not, the waiter was confused, went back in and came back five minutes later with the bread which everybody on my table devoured. In fact they thought it was the best bread they had. After dinner, we moved to the bar area for after dinner drinks while a couple from my group went to the pool table. Overall it was a good night.

Excellent brunch!

By suecassel |

We chose this place because of its location and its Starr affiliation. We had a delicious meal and stellar service. The ambiance is perfect — clubby with loads of interesting photos all up and down the walls. A great start to a lovely day in NYC.

Food is good but menu is awful for lunch

By lisa9962 |

This restaurant is in the Edition hotel and is just as pretentious as the accommodations. The menu is ridiculous for lunch - foie gras? Dry aged duck? Parmesan risotto? Mostly very heavy options so I had the beet salad with 3 minuscule pieces of poached chicken (each piece smaller than a penny). Service was ok but slow - this is lunch and most people have to get back to work, not have a 2 hour meal. Servers didn’t know who had been at the table and both came over several times to ask us the same questions. Way over priced as well. Not impressed. (Latte was very pretty)
