Went with a friend for brunch and it was great. Nice location in Soho. Great service, great food and affordable Prices. Would love to come back and Check out more.

What cool bar. Packed with millennial millionaires (or maybe on parents dime). Had the falafel appetizer which was awesome with green stuff on plate. The best was the Mediterranean Gin and Tonic. Super delicious. Great bar before dinner or as in our case afternoon buzzfest!

Nice space, reasonably priced wine bottles. Drinks and apps good too, although our waitress was a bit of a downer.

friendly bartenders who know how to make a drink. Great for drink pre-hitting the area clubs/music venues

The place is beautiful. The bar, seats, chandeliers, art work, etc. - everything is very pretty. It's just not a restaurant, or rather, it should not be a restaurant. Four of us had a reservation on a recent Friday night. Took 3 hours for all of this: 2 appetizers, 4 entrees, 1 bottle of wine, 2 bottles of water. Grrrrr. Our waitress was a phantom. I will say this: you're sitting there miserably hungry, thirsty or both but you get to look around at an attractive setting.

This is a great bright chic place for sunday brunch in Soho. Part of the fun Crosby Hotel, this is a welcome change from the typical looking restaurant. Menu offers a nice variety and selection of food and drink. Orange juice is on the small side. Water wasn't regularly filled. They cannot serve alcohol until noon on Sundays, FYI. Food tasted great. One order at our table was wrong… twice. The waitress never really checked on us again unless we asked someone to find her. Service was really the problem here, not the food. But that lessens the whole experience.

I love Kit Kemp and love this hotel, but the restaurant attached to the hotel is such a disappointment. To be clear, I have not stayed at the hotel, because it's too pricey for me, but I have been to the restaurant twice. The food is not that good and the staff is "iffy." This last time we sat at the bar where the bartender ignored us. There was only one other person at the bar and he was spending his time chatting with her instead of serving us. We ended up moving to a table and did get served. I think I will head to the Whitby Hotel next time I'm in NYC.

Fabulous lunch spot in SoHo! The food was delicious and the staff were very accommodating with menu item changes/substitutions on the salads. The tuna tartare was fresh and flavorful. The outdoor courtyard is a lovely place to eat on a warm day, BUT the service was horribly slow!! My sister and I wanted to order more wine but the server never returned. Plus, I'd asked for the dressing to be changed on my salad, and it was not changed. Despite the slow service and order mistake, I'd go back as it's a nice, quiet place to grab a bite to eat while shopping in SoHo. If you're in a rush, you're probably better off eating inside vs. outside. Also, the prices were fairly steep, but somewhat expected for hotel dinning.

Conveniently located adjacent to the Crosby Street Hotel’s lobby, the Crosby Bar is one amazingly convivial place to socialize. The seating is comfortable and spaced just right. The incredibly thoughtful, fun, and bright interior design is both exciting and charming. The Alice in Wonderland whimsy aesthete is a delightfully nostalgic turn. We opted for the afternoon tea and found the food items delicious though I would have preferred offerings a bit more savory than sweet. Add a bottle of bubbly, and I can’t imagine a finer place to pass afternoon time with friends.

Amazing bar service, fast service and good seating. Not too crowded. Great location with outside terraces for the sun too.

The Crosby Bar - and the hotel - are a beautiful, light, airy experience in the middle of SoHo. Everything, down to the coffee cups are beautiful in absolutely every way. The desserts we had were divine and the tea and coffees were also perfect. We were not rushed in any way and the surroundings were utterly delightful.

This bar is always crowded and though the cocktails are good, the service is slow, the menu filled with items that are good neither in theory nor in practice and all of the food is nearly always cold.

We stayed at the hotel and came to the bar a few times. There is rarely anywhere to sit and the staff don't help as they should when they can see that people are just spread out and not actually using seats. We always had to ask people to move up or move bags etc to be able to sit down in our own hotel bar...not cool! The food was a let down too so we tended to go elsewhere to eat.

We only had time for one round of drinks, as the bar was shutting down for a private event. But the wine list was spot on, the servers accommodating and the setting lovely. Wish we had more time to stay. We'll be back!

Great service, an extensive cocktail list, I counted at least seven types of gin! Lively atmosphere with the funky decor seen in the rest of the hotel. There's a mix of bar seating and smaller tables as well as an outdoor courtyard with lovely greenery and subtle lighting.

Restaurant and bar was buzzy...excellent menu with varied choices. Loved the pastas...didn't have to look for service they looked after you like you were very special..

The bar is fun with lots of art (maybe too much there and in the lobby) and a friendly, upbeat atmosphere. The dinner was delicious, although not extraordinary. The service was very good, but not more than expected in a bar (which was fine). It's not truly great food but it's very good food. Overall, I enjoyed the Crosby. The hotel is amazing. The rooms are very colorful. It's a bit "over the top" everywhere, but it's certainly an experience to enjoy.

High tea was on our “must do” list while in NYC. The Crosby did not disappoint. Beautiful atmosphere, food was incredible. I am gluten free and their GF option was spectacular. Service was great. We loved bright decor.

High Points: wonderfully made scones, really personable greeting (they keep digital notes on guests), attentive service, suggestive service ("get a bottle and it works out better") which is true since the champagne glasses here are smaller (even compared to Whitby), Mexican guacamole made by Mexicans in the kitchen! Yum!, and shoestring fries; Vincent our server was outstanding Low Points: no traditional seafood among the sandwich assortment: ham, turkey, and chicken were the only options and no salmon or tuna sandwich on the main menu to order in addition, our afternoon tea at 2:30 had 2 staff shifts so we started w/one server, then transferred to wonderful Vincent, then the F&B manager himself finished our dessert and bill, no music on outside patio; the 'rice pudding' in the small plastic cup was an overcooked, soggy mush best rethought for recipe and serving style Unique Points: outdoor area is charming, even with no tablecloths on the metal tables, Kit on-brand cutlery and chinaware, custom cocktails for the Crosby Bar The Big 3s: Food: always consistently lovely with far touches of something maybe British Service: super attentive, even with staff changes during teatime Ambience: lovely outdoor patio awaiting greenery from a springtime sun; the area will be lovely in about a month w/flowers and green

The food at The Crosby Street Hotel Restaurant, called the Crosby Street Bar, is better than good. Beautifully presented, with an eye to flavor and health, they've got myriad offerings which are all quite tasty. Wait staff is strong and I've never had a problem. The decor is whimsical. However, today I encountered a situation which gives me pause about the establishment, and I may never return. When I was being seated, the hostess indicated a table that was close to another diner, so I pointed to a table near a window and said I would prefer that one. I was told someone else had reserved that specific table. I was offered a couple of other table options and I selected one. Five minutes later, a couple came in and they were directed to the same table that I had been offered first. They said, "could we have the one by the window." And they were promptly seated at the very same table that I had been told had been specially reserved. I asked to speak to the manager. I told him what had transpired. He spoke to the hostess and then came back and said they always reserve that window table for hotel guests. So, a slight variation on the original hostess story. In any event, the entire incident has me peeved. Why lie? Why save specific tables for hotel guests? I can spend my money anywhere. I choose to spend my money at places that make me feel like a valued customer. This place failed to do that, which is sad. Danny Meyer has figured out how to make guests feel welcomed and at home. The Union Square Hospitality Group byword is hospitality. Take a page, Crosby Street Bar. Your establishment failed.

Crosby Bar is a wonderful and beautifully decorated restaurant and bar. Service is impeccable, food and drink delicious, great atmosphere, lunch, tea, drinks, dinner. I have been there several times now inviting friends and they all loved it.

The Crosby Bar in the Crosby Street Hotel Is my go to place when I have a meeting with out of town associates. To me it has a LA feel, busy with an interesting mix of patrons. We had a late brunch. I had the Omelette, toast, served with their homemade jam, together with an orange juice, and a delicious Cappuccino. My associates had the Chicken Breast, a BLT, and some Lattes. All very good. I was greeted by the hostess Ashley who gives the place just the right touch. Our server Abbey M (that's what it said on the check) was very attentive and pleasant. We wound up staying for a lite dinner and her recommendations were excellent. We were not rushed at all An enjoyable and successful meeting, I will return.

stunning food, atmosphere, service, staff, what more could one ask for! I recommend you book as the restaurant being very popular gets very busy. Try the Sunday brunch if you can get in!

We were here to have coffee and some tea. The bar is kind of crowded. Smaller than in the Whitby. You are sitting very close to each, this because of the tables next to each other. The drinks and teas are really tasty though. Nice ambiance.

I had lunch in the garden at the Crosby Bar on April 29th and it could not have been nicer. It was a beautiful day, the garden is charming and the service was very attentive. I started with their signature cocktail "the Eden" and it was wonderful. Then I had a shrimp salad and a "to die for" dessert of grilled poundcake and homemade ice cream! It was my birthday so I treated myself. Worth every calorie and great people watching as well. I will return!!!!

This was our second visit to the Crosby bar - we spent our last couple of hours In NYC before flying home here, having a couple of drinks and sharing a huge sandwich in the bar - we also spent part of our last day here last year - it's becoming a tradition !. The staff are really friendly and didn't seem to mind that we weren't ordering food straight away as we were waiting for our friends to arrive , who were delayed on the subway - in the meantime hubby had a couple of beers and I was on the water - a beautiful trendy bar in a gorgeous hotel, with a relaxed social ambience.

Great boutique hotel. Amazing location and nice afternoon tea. The salads and sandwiches are delicious. See and be seen.

We were staying at the hotel and for us we usually don't eat " on site ". This bar was a treat. Food was fresh and interesting and the champagne - stunned that it wasn't double the price. Great ambiance and eclectic art to entertain if the conversation in a group loses you.

This is the place to stay when you visit NY - great Bar fabulous rooms and a stylish place to greet your friends and to let them know that you know where its happening!!

To celebrate our anniversary we treated ourselves to afternoon tea at the hotel as the reviews were positive. However we found it ok nothing outstanding. When we arrived and even though booked weeks in advance, they could not find the booking. Then then had to shuffle tables to accommodate us. The champagne arrived after the pot of tea then the tea had gone cold by the time the sandwiches arrived so we had to ask for more hot water. Not a 5 star experience.

Love the Crosby, been here a few years ago for afternoon tea and again this year for lunch - a lovely setting, nice staff, not too expensive and a good menu. We really enjjoyed our club sandwich lunch with fries and the pot of tea was as it should be - strong ! A lovely setting in the Soho area too so an all round winner - will definitely be returning next year

A truly wonderful place for a summer cocktail on the patio. The service was very good and the wine list excellent. We were only there for drinks but the dinner also looked terrific. We'll go back again.

We were visiting a friend in NYC and she took us to the afternoon tea here raving about it. My husband and I are HUGE fans of afternoon tea and have visited some delightful ones in London (where service and food are impeccable) so we were excited to try one in the Big Apple. The terrace was cute outside and the weather cooperated for an outdoor dining experience. We ordered two towers to share and based on the price being similar to London, I expected the same level of service, quality and quantity. We got none of these. The service was non-existent and we had to constantly go inside to find a server. Now on to the food. I don't know who prepared the food but it was atrocious! Everything tasted stale, overcooked and flavorless. We had basically burned minuscule mushroom with a tiny garnish that was disgusting. The scones were the worst I have tried (tasted frozen). The tarts were tasteless. And when we were close to done with the very scarce amount of stuff, they came to clean up the tower. Where are my refills? In London, everything is unlimited though they serve so much that it is tough to have room. In our case here, we were starving as everything was tiny and just one or two pieces. Overall, it was a worthless experience and we will stick to our Afternoon Tea in Europe.

If you fancy splashing out a little for a luxury breakfast, you cannot go wrong here, delicious, plenty - average service.

After a shopping trip in Soho we always have a light lunch here. The miso salmon is amazing so is the spinache salad. The service can sometimes be a little bit slow if full house, but then I recommend just watch the people.

We went for lunch on Saturday. We found a table without problems and without waiting. We were in five and ate several different things: all of them excellent. The atmosphere of the place is really good, nice people, nice decoration (beautiful artworks) and very friendly staff. Prices are reasonable for the place.

The egg Benedictine were good, fresh, tasty. The service was also good. Nice ambience and Decoration. Crowd on Sunday Brunch. Good natural light. Good option if you are at the Soho and you already try Balthazar.

Friendly, helpful staff. 20US for French pressed coffee! Eggs and corn beefed hash, the best, cool dining room with great bar

We came for breakfast and we were placed at a table and then nothing happened. The bar and breakfast room were beautiful but after 15 min we left and nobody noticed. This is not what you expect from a five star hotel

We were staying in the hotel and the hotel is wonderful. Great rooms ours actually had a tub anyone who travels a lot to NYC knows this is a hard to come by asset. The service in the hotel was amazing and the drawing room is the perfect place to sit and read. As for the Bar/ restaurant I only gave average because service is so incredibly slow if you are in a rush I would not recommend, they seemed to always be a bit overwhelmed (we had breakfast and several Lunches here) but if you do not mind waiting and asking for things several times the ambience and the quality of the offerings makes it worth it. Just do not be in a NYC rush. Great for breakfast and Gluten free bread, pancakes and waffels if you are in a hurry do the buffet.

Glad I didn't listen to some of the other reviews saying the afternoon tea was lackluster because ours was absolutely FABULOUS! It was a little more fun and relaxing than some of the uptown teas I have been to but it made for a great afternoon. The sandwiches and sweets were perfection but the scones were the star of the show! All in all a great experience.

Nice location, great atmosphere, efficient and great service, attention to details. I will definitely go back.

Other than appearing cute and trendy, it was a disappointing experience. The server couldn't answer any questions about the menu. The afternoon tea was pleasant in appearance but the scones were dry and the desserts tasteless. If you're staying in soho explore much nicer restaurants in the area.

I rarely refer to a place as a hidden gem; it is such a cliche. However, when it comes to this restaurant, I believe it truly applies. We went for a drink and were so comfortable and pleased with the place that we ended up staying for dinner. We were lucky enough to find a table in the bar located next to the floor to ceiling windows looking out onto the courtyard, adjacent to the small restaurant area. What a beautiful place! Fun, colorful, uniquely designed interiors make the atmosphere a destination spot. I highly recommend this little bar/restaurant located in a boutique hotel in Soho. The interior designer really knew what she was doing. Although adjacent to a lively bar, the soft surfaces and comfy cushions muffle the sound so you can have an intimate conversation without the noise and crowds you find in so many other places. They serve excellent cocktails, however expensive $16.50, and the food was outstanding. The crudités were generous and fresh, served with green hummus. The entrees were unexpectedly to die for! We shared scallops in mushroom broth and a seared salmon. Both were prepared by a top notch chef who really knows what he's doing. I would rank this as one of the very best meals I have ever eaten in New York City, and we visit regularly. We will return!

On frequent trips from Vermont to the city, without fail we stop in for breakfast at the Crosby Bar in SoHo. Beautiful room, delicious food, kind and efficient staff - a great value by any measure.

Kind of Morrocan ambience, lovely food and drinks. Very busy every night, glad we had a table reservation.

I discovered the Crosby Bar a few years back when I accompanied my daughter to her appointment at a salaon near there and needed to find a place where I could hang out for a few hours and get something to eat. The Crosby proved to be a great find. it is part of a boutique chain from London. The bar is lovely and has food throughout the day, including afternoon tea. Service was fine. No one rushed me. The eggs Benedict were very good as was the Bloody Mary. It is a beautiful hotel.

...and it was a great treat! I ordered the high tea with a glass of Piper Heidsieck champagne to start. The experience was lovely - great people watching - and tasty food. The service was professional and attentive and I happily stayed for a couple hours just sipping my tea and enjoying every bite of the freshly made scones.

Beautiful restaurant, where soft elegance is present in an upscale area of New York / table top / service top / classy atmosphere Very suitable Christmas meal Local customers of very good standing

Had a few drinks after an event with some work colleagues - was super cool and a couple of celebs in at the same time, which is always fun. Nice atmosphere as part of a really funky hotel.

I was meeting a friend for breakfast so we selected The Crosby Bar. Excellent food and great ambiance. Definitely make a reservation as it is quite popular!

Great drinks, beautiful room and a welcoming spirit make this Bar a winner!!! No attitude, just a sincere effort to produce a superior cocktail. Try the SoHo Sensation. You won't forget it!

A constant on frequent trips to the city, the Crosby Bar always delivers. Lunch and dinner are just fine, but it is at breakfast that it never ceases to impress. I stand by my earlier opinion that this is the best English breakfast in NYC - or in London for that matter. Service seems to have ramped up a notch or two recently giving yet another reason to visit.

We are serious Firmdale fans. We love every one of the London hotels and their restaurants. During our visit to New Jersey we visited Manhattan Island a few times and decided to have an early dinner at the Crosby Bar on our last day. The staff were friendly and personable as we would expect from the Firmdale family and the service was wonderful. However, the food was decidedly average and we were somewhat disappointed. My ciabatta was simply too thickly filled and it was like a doorstop, dry and not particularly tasty. Something that surprised me. My husband was also underwhelmed with his choice. We have never felt let down by any aspect of a Firmdale experience and we hope this was our one and only experience of that nature.

We were there for our wedding anniversary. Although the déco is nice and stylish the food is simply terrible. It has a 'cantine' taste. Plates are not well presented and super basic. When we were served the main course the plates were put in front of us in a manner that makes McDonalds luxury restaurant. Additionally, pasta dish with a touch of lobster was still as solid rock in my stomach the next morning. This is the second time we were visiting Crosby Bar. First time was four years ago. And now, wow, man, were your chef, sous-chef and maître d'hôtel on vacations?

The last time I visited this delightful property, I had Afternoon Tea. This time, its Lunch, and what divine gastronomia lay in store! Just entering the lobby and turning left into the Bar and Restaurant is a unique magical experience. From the maitre 'D, hostess, to the wait-staff, all professional and accommodating - and the ambiance, relaxing and cordial! One can also sit at the Bar. As for the selections of the menu: Bravo!!! Here are my suggestions;- Starter: * The Spiced butternut squash soup, coconut cream Mains: * Seared salmon St. Germaine, artichokes, porcini mushrooms Sides: * Charred Broccolini, garlic. PX vinegar, Aleppo and/or Quinoa fried rice, winter root vegetables Dessert: * Bread and butterscotch pudding, sourdough biscuit, salted pecan bourbon gelato or Chef's suggestion of ice creams and sorbets. I had a cafe americano which complemented and completed my lunch. I further suggest a nice brisk walk around the Block before riding the subway or taking a taxi at the conclusion of the meal. I Can't wait for their latest property, The Whitby, to open its doors on West 56th Street in the upcoming months. Stay tuned. ###

I don't like bars, BUT this "bar" is more of a living room full of fun people, incredible ordoerves and fine service. Go out of your way to go there, and dress smartly and be on your best behavior.

We came here for drinks after a work dinner. The Kit Kemp interior, a luxurious, eclectic mix of patterns, fabrics and textures was a great setting for chilling out after a busy day and a squished in dinner in a fantastic, micro restaurant in SoHo. Very enjoyable.

The atmosphere is great, the food was fantastic and the service was very good. Went for Sunday brunch - all the egg dishes were awesome. The french toast was delicious, light and fluffy. Excellent selection of teas and the coffee was also very good.

The three of us had an extremely enjoyable brunch. The afternoon tea menu -- available upon request -- is an excellent option. The sandwiches are large (nothing dainty here) as are the scones and sweets. The scrambled eggs are also quite good. Service is excellent.

My family came here for a round of afternoon tea, which is clearly very popular among guests - weekends are often very busy, so reservations and confirming reservations are a must. The finger sandwiches were so yummy we asked for another helping and the scones were equally delicious. I do wish some of the desserts (chocolate macron, raspberry blondie) were less sweet as I found them overwhelming to eat and had to stop. Otherwise a delightful afternoon tea and a great way to spend time with loved ones.

Met a friend for Brunch on a Saturday at the Crosby Bar. Lovely atmosphere, food okay but a little pricey. It is in a great location lots to see. The hotel lobby is very interesting. Will try again and hope for better food.

A quaint bar nestled in the boutique Crosby St. hotel. Drinks were good. Service was good. Relaxing and not overly crowded.

Met some friends here for Saturday lunch. Really cool & hip vibe populated to a large extent with attractive, well-heeled clientele. The burger was absolutely fantastic, with an excellent quality of cheese and thickly sliced bacon. For the size and quality of the ingredients, the burger was fairly priced. Wine by the glass is on the expensive side--of course, it is a hotel bar--and if you hit it on a nice day, the terrace is the place to be.

We absolutely love this spot for lunch and drinks. The ambiance is fantastic and the service is awesome. Their food is also great! Highly recommend this place for a break away from the SoHo hustle and bustle.

Nice choice on the menu. Good service, and fashionable atmosphere. The food was fresh and very well prepared. It isn't cheap but you wouldn't expect it to be in a boutique hotel.

The waitress spilled an espresso martini right next to me, which ruined my white shoes. No one apologized. I watched the manager come look at what had happened and do nothing. Then no one cleaned it up. When the waitress came back over she made some comment about me “moving” when she served the drinks, which i thought was utterly ridiculous. The gelato flight was delicious but I don’t recommend this place.

While staying at the Crosby Street Hotel this weekend, we had the pleasure of eating breakfast both Saturday and Sunday mornings in the Crosby Bar. Although a bit pricey, the breakfast was included with our room and we were told we could order anything we wanted, and make use of the buffet, so naturally we had an amazing time! We loved everything we got...my mother ordered the smoked salmon bagel both days and I got the French Toast. Both were super delicious and well-executed, not to mention generous with portions (especially the smoked salmon!). Exactly the kind of fare you'd expect from the chic and vibrant surroundings. We also both got fruit and granola from the buffet area, which was beautifully laid out with tons of different kinds of fresh fruits and homemade granolas, and also pastries and yogurts. Had long, relaxed breakfasts both days in the most beautiful and special of settings! Would love to return for afternoon tea...it is a joy to spend time in such a fun and colorful space, covered in beautiful artwork and quirky prints. Although SoHo is filled with fun and quirky spots, the Crosby Bar really nails it with the decor and tone of the space, especially in the context of such a beautifully done hotel. Kit Kemp has nailed it again here, the vibrant vibe is just perfect for this NoLita/SoHo neighborhood, with the big industrial floor-to-ceiling windows leading out into a little lush garden, and the restaurant was pleasantly bustling throughout both our meals. A nice splurge if you're not staying at the hotel. A must if you are.

Crosby street hotel is a beautiful hotel in the middle of Soho. It is great to just go in and get inspired by the fantastic interior. But the restaurant and bar is also very worth visiting. We had lunch in the bar and was very very satisfied. The meny is very good and varied. We were all very content with our choices, hamburger and salads. We had a fantastic waitress who was quick and professional, always with a smile. Recommend this place warmly!!

Attached to Crosby Street Hotel, like other Firmdale properties this restaurant/bar can stand on its own merits, not just as a 'hotel restaurant.' From breakfast, to afternoon tea, to dinner and drinks, the staff doesn't miss a step and the food is excellent. Well worth a visit, whether you staying at the hotel or not. The bar also has fantastic craft drinks for every palette.

The Crosby Bar (outdoors) is a nice place to spend a beautiful day enjoying lunch or drinks; my only recommendation would be to have more comfortable chairs!

Funky elegance - this is the vibe at The Crosby Bar. Went there for a bite and drinks after work. Great service, drinks and food. There are no bartenders here - they are mixologists. Try the Tiger's Eye. The bacon wrapped dates stuffed with blue cheese for apps are so good and the lump crab meat & squid ink spaguetti was very nice. Also try the Gouda Mac & Cheese - yum! Would definetely go back.

well designed and great drinks and food , located in the heart of the soho, nice to drop by before or after walking around/

This is a colorful, warm and joyful restaurant with a staff that matches. Cocktails are excellent and the food is as solid as a rock. The food will not knock you out, but it is all well-prepared and delicious. You will feel very satisfied with yourself if you choose to spend and evening here. Everyone in the restaurant seemed to be having a grand old time. Joyful and tasty. Oh, those cocktails1

The best afternoon tea in NYC by far. Having lived in London, I've been very spoiled when it comes to knowing what a good afternoon tea is. Here in NYC, I've been disappointed not to find a single worthy afternoon tea. The Plaza's tea (twice) was poor (with stale bread, amazingly); the Pierre was unexceptional, dull even; the RItz-Carlton's was a calamity; Lady Mendl's was the best of the bunch, but only passably charming (but still mediocre). Then I discovered the Crosby Street Hotel's afternoon tea. Goodness! THIS is how afternoon tea is done properly - and with aplomb. I would actually call this a sort of 'rock-and-roll afternoon tea', while carefully acknowledging the sacred rules of the afternoon tea ritual. Being a little 'rock-and-roll' (the afternoon tea, not me), I wouldn't therefore have expected to like it (eg my preferred choice in London for afternoon tea is the Ritz). However, it knocked my socks off entirely - a careful marriage of rock-and-roll panache with tradition, elegance and the greatest sophistication. By the way, I've never tasted a better blending of matcha and white chocolate (their mini tiramisu) - my taste buds could only think "crikey!!" for the next 5 minutes, and in a very good way! Every single aspect of this afternoon tea was flawless (including Kit Kemp's china designs, and the treats/cakes, each of which left my taste-buds in a riot), but a special note for the Marigold tea: the most sacred of all principles when it comes to afternoon tea is that the anchor - the tea - should never be eclipsed by the food and should easily be able to hold its own against even the most astonishing, ravishing treats. Rarely does that happen (at least here in NYC) - and this Marigold tea simply stole the show. There is no need to go anywhere else for afternoon tea in NYC.

Great staff, cocktails, thoughtful wines by the glass. Very nice ambiance. Busy evenings so book ahead.

The Crosby Bar is really a restaurant. The food is delicious and the service great. The art work is stupendous too. Go here for a special night in a trendy neighborhood.

We recently enjoyed lunch outside on the Crosby Bar's patio. The hotel/bar is located on a nice quiet street only one block away from the busy Soho shopping areas. I loved my lamb risotto, and my wife liked her salad. Prices are high, but the food quality is very good. Service was friendly, though a little slow.

Great atmosphere and a place to stop off and have a drink at any time of the day right in the heart of in Soho. Nearby there are plenty of shops and restaurants to enjoy.

Reasonable priced bar and very pleasant surroundings. Bartender friendly and offered quick service. Love the light filled area and comfortable seating, tables as we'll as bar stools.

I’ve been to The Crosby Bar couple times before for brunch and dinner and had good experience, this time I went for an Afternoon Tea with a friend. The place is spacious and bright, chic decor with high ceiling. Friendly staffs and our server was very attentive. We enjoyed a bottle of champagne along with our Afternoon Tea in their comfy environment and unique atmosphere. They have quite a selection on tea to choose from, and the food is pretty decent from tea sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam to the sweets. It was a really pleasant afternoon and this place will be one of my go to for an occasional luxury mid-day light meal.

Words won't describe how perfect this place is!! Just visit it!! Go go go!! It's a must and you will remember it forever! Oh and everyone is so kind and super funny!

I crossed the 'big pond' many years ago from my native London, forever in search for the best afternoon-tea and delightful lunches, suppers and yes, afternoon tea...and I found it at the Crosby Hotel - or more specifically, inside the warm and cozy surroundings of The Crosby Bar. Located in one of Manhattan's trendiest neighborhoods and close to the Spring Street subway stop, I fully recommend this watering hole. Simply put, just order tea (Indian style) with milk and all the sandwiches, scones, cakes and pastries you can eat and drink! And, if you prefer, China tea is best served plain or with lemon! Of course, you're in a bar-setting and what I loved is the choice of being pampered outside in the adjacent garden. I can't think of a more perfect setting during the hot summer months. Hey! why not even splurge with a glass or three of the hotel's best champagne. Can't think of a perfect stress-free location with delightful ambiance and epicurean delights! Sophistication and Delightful! Well done.

I have been a fan of the Firmdale brand for a long time, and it's one of my favourite places. I love the library areas when I stay there and am a big fan of the cocktails / hospitality. Sadly, on this visit it was not the best. After finding a seat by the bar area in the low level seating, we sat and waited for service. And waited. Then waited some more. A used teapot sat on our table. The bar seats were 3/4 full and it was a busy time (afternoon tea in full swing). After 25 minutes I finally, after failing to attract any of the staff's attention, used my "loud voice" to ask for a menu to a waiter by the till. He acknowledged me, and finally a further 5 minutes later another waiter came over and provided menus. Gone are the leather bound slim books, instead paper menus. The remainder of our time there was as expected - great cocktails and our female server was friendly and looked after us. Perhaps a blip, or bad timing - I hope a one off.

We always stop at the Crosby for lunch at the bar after shopping in Soho. Always have fun and good food. So we decided to try it for dinner. Our reservation was 8:30 on a Friday nite. The bar was hopping so we went right to our table. My daughter ordered the squash soup which was just ok. I ordered the pork chop dish. The waiter said it would take at least 20 minutes to prepare so we should put the order in right away which I said ok. Very noisy and crowded. My daughter's pasta dish arrived and they gave me a sharing plate. I was waiting for the pork chop so I told my daughter to start her meal. She did. It was just ok. Very rich and could only eat a small portion of it. Well, no pork chop. The waiter made an honest mistake when I asked him where it was. He said he misunderstood me. By this time I said to forget it. The manager came over to apologize and offered me the small plate menu from the bar. I really didn't want anything at this point but he insisted that I try the sliders. I said ok. Within 10 minutes the sliders arrived ALONG with the pork chop!! I insisted that he take the sliders back. I only had a couple of bites of the pork chop. After the aggravation and hassle who could eat? By now its almost 10:00. The manager took the pork chop off the bill. This was, like I said, an honest mistake by the waiter. He was very nice and felt bad. We won't be going back for dinner anytime soon. Enjoyed lunch at the bar much more.

We were staying at the hotel and ate at the "bar" twice for breakfast. Delicious and innovative menu: scrambled egg whites, herbs, and avocado was surprisingly good, as were the eggs florentine. There is also a buffet with fresh fruit and baked goods. Drinkable coffee. Attentive service but we found the restaurant frequently busy. Definitely worth a visit if you are at the hotel. Should add that breakfast was included in our room rate and we could basically order anything from the menu. Classy.

Met some associates here for cocktails before dinner and thoroughly enjoyed. The bar was busy, standing room only, but the bar tenders were very attentive and personable. Had a heavy hand when pouring drinks which is always nice! As busy as it was the noise level was low. My only critique is the drinks/bar snacks were a bit expensive, but maybe thats the standard for this area. Dining area looked nice, I'd definitely go back for a meal.

We visit New York regularly and considered several of the smaller boutique hotels in the SoHo/Village area on this trip. We ended up choosing the Gramercy Park Hotel, which was a lovely experience, but I was curious enough that I walked down to SoHo yesterday to check out the Crosby Street Hotel for next time. My complaint is specifically with the treatment I received when I went in the bar for a drink. Generally speaking I felt unwelcome and ignored. The hour was early so it wasn't exactly packed but there were no seats at the bar, so I asked the hostess if I could sit at one of the small tables. She unenthusiastically directed me to a banquette. Then I waited. And waited. Maybe they were understaffed that afternoon but the waiter just kept slipping past me avoiding eye contact. After ten minutes he approached and asked if I was ordering dinner. I said I just wanted a drink and he told me I would need to move to the bar area seating. I told him I had been seated by the hostess and he said that was a mistake. Another customer overheard and volunteered that she was leaving and I could have her spot in the drinks-only area. I moved over there and was astonished to find that the waiter continued ignoring me. He left me sitting there, with the previous customer's glass and trash in front of me for another fifteen minutes. He knew I wanted a drink but swept past me multiple times servicing others, ignoring me. It was baffling. Eventually I gave up and left. I can only guess that this server "profiled" me as some kind of an undeserving/undesirable customer. I'm middle-aged and slightly overweight, was dressed in clean jeans and a nice shirt but -- especially in humidity -- can come off as a bit of a shlub. In that very hip young room I can only assume I stood out as less than desirable art direction for this trendy watering hole. I can't picture any other explanation for the treatment I received by this waiter Sunday afternoon.

Kit Kemp has another interior contemporary masterpiece in Soho that is breathtaking for those who love exquisite interiors, excellent food, brilliant service and an experience to remember. Just walk in the front entrance and suck it all up, the vibrant colours, the fabrics, the antiques, the lovely friendly staff and superb good value cuisine. You won't be disappointed.

If you like champagne by the glass, they have it here. Upscale clientele, but not stuffy personnel. Great on an early Sunday afternoon after people watching in Soho. Go you'll like it

We frequently visit The Crosby Bar when we're in town, and we are always happy when Bruce is behind the bar. Love the food but love the mimosas more!

Excellent food with a great variety of items. From asopao to pernil to mofongo and even pasteles. Took me a while to decide what to order. Will be coming back for sure!!

You always need new locations to take business colleagues to keep meetings fresh. Similarly you and your friends will seek innovation. Crosby Bar has an extensive selection of specialty house cocktails but also does a great job with the standards. Closely spaced tables in the bar area make for a moderate noise level but they keep the music low enough for you o speak with your party. Good bar food and I recommend the flatbread pizzas.

Stopped in for a bite to eat after a morning of shopping. Sat at the bar. Very friendly bartender and we enjoyed our meal. Careful though, expensive on the wine.

Nice place to stop for a bite to eat! I have never felt rushed and really enjoyed the food and tea! Great atmosphere and I've seen lots of movie stars eating there.

I had a business brunch meeting at the suggestion of a trusty bicoastal friend, I take his suggestions in LA as well as NYC. As usual he chose a good place. I had OJ ,the french toast and cappuccino. He the same. Our colleague from Toronto had the chicken salad with a glass of wine. In general the prices are high and you do not get a decent glass of wine for what they charge. The service was excellent. The place is packed with an extremely interesting mix of people. We were not rushed at all, and spent two comfortable hours there. Jeremy T

Was recently in town for a luncheon with family. Had a private room and service was top notch, as was the food served us. The ambience was exactly what I expected it to be; flawless, simple, tasteful. Will be back!

Two weeks ago we visited the restaurant within the Crosby Street Hotel for a much anticipated Afternoon Tea. First, the good points... The restaurant is decorated in a light, colorful, sparkling way - truly a visual oasis within a great Manhattan neighborhood. While we were there during the daytime, I'd imagine it's quite beautiful at night, especially with the lights and activity going on on the two adjacent patios, on which the french doors and windows of the restaurant open. The various chandeliers and ceiling lights are great eye candy - quite fun! Now, the not-so-good points. Let me first say that we consider ourselves Afternoon Tea aficionados, having partaken of this special repast at more than a dozen places, including London's Ritz, Brown's, Fortnum & Mason, Paris' Mariage Freres and Manhattan's own Lady Mendl's (not to mention The Mark, which I'm not sure still exists). Though we had a reservation and the place was perhaps 15% full when we arrived, we were shown to a table that was not set for tea (bad location plus their plain china). We asked for a different table (the desk staff seemed surprised) and had to wait for nearly 15 minutes for them to set up a [different] table properly. Once settled in, we ordered the Champagne tea which, as anyone knows, starts with a flute of champagne prior to the arrival of the tea and tiered tea trays of food. Well, the waiter brought out the pots of tea at the same time that the champagne was poured. As we were hardly going to pour and have tea before finishing our champagne, and we were hardly going to guzzle our champagne, and the tea tiers weren't even close to being brought around, this meant that by the time we poured our tea it was way too dark and the hot 'zing' of the tea had been lost. The waiter was very nice, but the waiter was not nearly attentive enough. We had to beckon to him when we needed additional boiling water; we had to ask him to come by with additional finger sandwiches (as any regular goer to a proper Afternoon Tea knows, the waiter should come by at some point with a tray of sandwiches and ask whether anyone would like additional slices). It's 'understood' that that's part of the experience. When we asked, he, like the front desk staff, seemed 'surprised.' As far as the food, I have to say that the sandwiches themselves were delicious, and the scones outstanding. But, the dessert tier fell VERY flat. Everything looked pretty, but looked much better than it tasted. The macarons were a particular FAIL. We were excited to see these French treats on the tray, but our excitement turned to disappointment... they were a sort of purple color, which had us guessing while we were eating our sandwiches and scones what flavor they might be. Lavender? Violette Cassis? Well folks, the flavor was "Sugar." There was literally not a speck of flavor in them, almond or otherwise. The flavor was basically purple sugar with tan filling. Any of you who knows and loves a good macaron will know what a let-down it was. This was not an inexpensive repast! It was quite a bit more than Lady Mendl's, with lesser quality service and lesser quality food (Lady Mendl's also includes a slice of Mille Crepe cake that shouldn't be missed). The moral of the story: If you're in New York and looking for one great Afternoon Tea, skip Crosby Street.

The service was s-l-o-w even though it was past 2p and restaurant was only partly full. Few places in NYC are more pleasant to sit at. The location is perfect right in the center of Soho's hustle and bustle. The food is good. The check comes with a bit of a sting but if it is a special event go for it. Be a great spot for a date or to impress the in laws. You will probably see a celeb or two to boot.

The cocktail lounge is open and spacious. Floor to ceiling windows. Comfy low banquettes and chairs. Patio out back. Long fantastic bar. The cocktails were delicious and amazing. Fresh juices and herbs. I wish I could have tried more!

Great collection of beer & cocktails with staff who are well educated in the selection at hand. Very enjoyable establishment to enjoy a few drinks and snacks.

Let me preface this by saying, I love this hotel. I love the aesthetic, and I REALLY love the Soho Hotel in London. That being said, the service in the lobby (can not speak on the hotel side) can be improved. The bartenders, the people who create the atmosphere, are less than friendly, efficient but a smile is rarely cracked. While gabbing with my bestie, we were greeted by our waitress. She wasn't mean, a bit curt, but she just seemed extremely busy and didn't have time for much of anything except taking orders. When I attempted to amend an order, she was lost in translation.(though she later spoke to us about Sunday movie night and a pre fixed dinner, and was more friendly). This being said, the place is beautiful, quaint, with a lovely menu, but the service needs improvement. NYC is full of hotels, and full of places for girls to catch up. Guests( of all nature)deserve to have a lasting experience. ON A POSITIVE, we had an AMAZING young man named Pete, who turned everything around. I believe he is probably a busser, or server's assistant but he was delightful, and everything a hospitality professional should embody.

The bar at the Crosby Hotel is a fun place with a great clientele. I loved one of their speciality drinks, the "Widows Cluster." This is a must visit locale.

We went for a dinner and a movie for $55.00 per person plus drinks. What a great value! First up was the soup then the steak and Fish dish all were excellent! Dessert was incredible! The drinks are pricey, but this is still a value. After dinner you go downstairs for the movie and free popcorn. Will go back when we see a movie that we really want to see.

This was my first time dining at the Crosby Bar. I went with a client and we had a very good meal. The food was excellent, as was the setting. The overall experience was let down somewhat by the service. Our waiter was nice enough, but could have been more attentive. My order came out wrong, and there was no apology, just the explanation that "he wrote down the wrong thing." No kidding. All in all, I will certainly go back, as the location is great, and there is a comfortable feel about the restaurant. It was conducive to business discussions, and yet casual enough not to be stuffy.

A friend of mine recently introduced me to High Tea at the Crosby Bar – what a delightful treat! It’s located in the Crosby Street Hotel, a beautiful boutique hotel. The bar's upscale charm makes for the perfect spot for afternoon tea. The menu has two options – traditional or gluten-free. I recommend adding the glass of Ruinart Blanc de Blancs NV (according to our waiter, it’s actually a $30 glass of wine at a cost of $12 with the afternoon tea). We all ordered the traditional menu and everything was delish. The scones are AMAZING. My other fave was the steak and stilton pies. We learned you can get “refills” – 1 item per person – and we took advantage of that. We actually didn’t get through all the desserts so they boxed them up for us to enjoy at home. It was truly an exquisite experience and if you enjoy High Tea, this place cannot be missed!

sit at the bar--have a nibble--a great experience! Interesting people to chat with....great bartenders!

The Crosby Hotel is the finest hotel space that I have seen in NYC. Go early and poke around. The staff is very nice and accomodating. Brunch was excellent! Great menu in an awesome space. Go!

Stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights and had the opportunity to experience all three meals at the Crosby Bar which is the hotel restaurant (and has a great bar too). Service was attentive and fast, quality and selection were high and the price reflected the market for a 5 Star Hotel in NYC (i.e. high). My only real gripe was that regardless of the size of the party they automatically added 20% gratuity AND left a space for "Service". This is misleading and at a minimum I would expect it to say "Additional Gratuity".

Nice food without being a standout. Everything pleasant. Chic aesthetic enhanced by leafy outlook. Service thorough if impersonal.

Lovely hotel and restaurant is open and airy and light. there are traditional tables, the bar, and also couches with smaller tables and couches. The coffee is brought in a china coffee pot and the cream is actually served warm! Excellent bathroom as well.

Comes here every now and then much because of the pleasant and stylish setting-Service is great, food excellent and the setting is lovely!! Totally a place to go for a nice and relaxing lunch with the perfect location. The interiors are lovely and the art gorgeous!! Try it!!

Nice setting and cool interiors. Food was pretty good and service also good. Location also great and central. Good spot for breakfast before a day shopping in SoHo.

This place is just as cool as Balthazar (except Balthazar is filled with tourist who just got of the bus). Crosby Bar is hip and fun. We had a great breakfast. Healthy options. They are only going to be snobby to you if you show up wearing a fanny pack and look like you are headed to the Macy's day parade.

Best spinach salad I’ve ever had! Great ambiance, refined yet relaxed with loads of character. My son had the fillet, which is always a good choice anywhere but he said his was especially good. Service wasn’t super speedy, but it was Friday night we were enjoying our dinner.

My girlfriends and I came here for Afternoon Tea and had a great time. We were there for probably 4 hours and we were not rushed once. The waitress we had was extremely helpful and very accommodating and helpful. The food was also very good and the selection was quite broad given that everything is just two bites. I have to say the only disappointing thing was that there were only three tea options which I find very odd for an afternoon tea. We ended up having all three and everyone loved their selections so at least their three options were good ones. I would definitely come back and look forward to trying their lunch.

Once we land in Milan, we have time to get a taxi and eat something here while waiting for our airbnb to be ready. An absolute surprise. Personal, designer, intimate location with creative but substantial cuisine. The service is perfect without a flaw: fast, delicate, kind and very easy. They ask them if you want tap water and they serve it to you even ten times as if it were krug. Delicious salads, perfect sauces. Art everywhere. Super garden!

We are big fans of the Firmdale brand and have stayed in all the London hotels so when in New York we had to try the Crosby, were very glad we did. Extremely welcoming and warm, great drinks and service. Very consistent brand and atmosphere wherever you go.

The restaurant and lounge are so gorgeous and welcoming. Went for brunch, which was amazing. I'd definitely suggest getting the bread basket, an wonderful assortment of breakfast breads. And the service was fantastic!

Lovely room and as it was Thanksgiving and we had had a long flight we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant. Turkey entree tasty but everything else appalling. Rude and hate to say but a waitress who had not a clue about anything. The kids ordered a pasta dish for 20 dollars each. So tiny we asked the waitress to bring another portion - they were starving! Our bill was over 450 dollars for 5 mains, 3 glasses of wine. Get real guys. This is a sham.

The Crosby Bar is a popular place to meet and enjoy a glass of wine or a meal. It's location in trendy Soho is perfect after a busy day of shopping

Hello - On 7/9 I had a business dinner at the Crosby Bar. I was served rancid steak as was my colleague. We each had one bite and had to send back because we had completely lost our appetite. Not only did the manager continually dismiss our disgust (he told me I had clearly never ate dry aged beef which for the record was not at all the case) but he then clearly informed OpenTable that we didn't even show up which I received a negative ping from them (which I got corrected). I had to pay for a meal that was one of the worse I have ever had. It was $$$$. He removed the meat but charged us for everything else apps, sides, wine (which was very good) AND we didn't eat. Literally ate NOTHING. It is unfortunate that a place of this high caliber would risk losing someone for life. Never going there again BUT wanted to clear my name with Opentable. For the record our waiter was pretty awesome though. We showed up and almost throwed up ;-)

After a long day of travel, we popped in for a Late afternoon heavy snack to keep us going on our first night back in NYC for a long wknd. My butternut squash soup and squid ink pasta w chili was to die for. My husband's Brussels were the same. Hit the bar again a couple times over the wknd for dinner for drinks before dinner. And late night fun before turning in. Such a great staff. Perfection and so, so hip.

The Crosby Bar is a see and be seen kind of a place, with bright decor, great acoustics, and really good food. The service was attentive, and the prices, for New York, reasonable. The food is not gourmet, but beautifully prepared and served. Maybe not worth a detour, but good if you're in the 'hood.

Arrived at 10pm and ordered a bottle of champagne, paid for it straight away to be told we hadn't left enough of a tip. Begrudgingly we increased the tip and then poured our own drinks whilst waiting for an ice bucket. We had only be in the bar, which was empty for around 40 minutes before they called last orders. Staff were sat chatting at the end of the bar desperately waiting for us to leave. We did leave in the end, after a burly security guard came to escort us out. I can't help but think that if this was the Four Seasons or the Park Hyatt the service would have been a world of difference. It's a shame as the London hotels, bar Ham Yard have good service.

We met friends here for an afternoon bite and drink. There are a few different menu options so be sure to ask: there's the traditional brunch/lunch menu with large entrees and sides, a high tea menu and a bar menu with smaller sharable bites. We opted to pick items from the bar menu, including the cheese board, falafel bites, lamb meatballs and potato flautas. All were small portions for sharing and delicious.

cute outside area out back super stylish, friendly, great beverages friendly staff that were well versed in "drink wine" will definitely go back next trip

Nice place, nice food, wine prices a little excessive. Long wait and visibly the place were gentlemen (not young) meet their asiatic (young) escort girls. Awkward.

We had a couple of drinks with a friend, during our stay in the hotel, amazing atmosphere and an impressive selections of cocktails and whiskeys

Our experiences here were amazing--we kept going back. My favorites were the grilled octopus small plates and the gluten free options on the breakfast buffet. Staff were so helpful and very fast!

Had the Tea service at the bar. Excellent service and atmosphere. Great bartender, very attentive and engaging. The mini sandwiches were delicious the portion is just right for 2. Added to my Revisit list. Seems very popular and make a reservation early.

Had a delicious breakfast on a Saturday morning. Had reservations here for 10am but didn't need really it that early. Very much enjoyed the Eggs Royale -- the salmon was delicious!! The coffee was fantastic as well. Spotty service was the only negative. Have eaten here before and that was an issue as well. Overall, great ambience and nice food.

I met some colleagues here for a work lunch. The location is fabulous, the service was attentive and friendly, and the food was really excellent. I'll be back.

I sat at the bar on a Friday afternoon, after getting lost in NOLITA, and just needed a glass of wine. I thought I would only have 1 glass, but ended up having about 4 or 5. The bartenders James, and Anthony, were so engaging, that I just could not leave. I have no idea what was on the menu as I asked Anthony to pick out the wine. After about 2 hours at the bar, I decided I better leave before I made a fool of myself. It was really a nice and pleasant bar, thanks to James and Anthony. I must go back and try the food. Awesome space.

My wife and I went for brunch about 11am. Found on Trip Advisor and can't articulate in words how happy we were with the find. Amazing decor and food was unbelievable. Highly recommend it.....

Special recommend to lunch time The chicken was superb Classic place for brunch drink and a good service in middle of soho

We had high expectations for a great experience here after reading about it online. My daughter and I split the tea. The cost was $38 with an additional $7 for an extra pot of tea. The sandwiches were on bread that seemed dried out as if they were prepared earlier in the day. The scones were tasty, but everything else was average. Our waiter disappeared and we had to have the hostess find someone to get our check.

Large wine and gin selection. Excellent drinks and small plates. We particularly loved the breakfast.

We made our way back to Crosby St as we wanted to take a look inside and maybe have a drink in their courtyard garden , however this is only open to residents but if you go straight through the lounge/bar area there is another garden at the back which borders the street behind but it is still reasonably private and partitioned off . It was so hot outside though , and nice and cool inside so we sat at the bar instead.

Very nice restaurant with a little garden to enjoy the sun. Service super attentive, good menus. I had the enchiladas, would absolutely recommend them!

We loved The Crosby Street Hotel bar. It is dimly lit and filled with the most incredible art collection. The drinks are great. Had quite a few wines and numerous bowls of spicy nuts. Definitely worth a visit & a drink.

I went there for tea.. everything was good but not amazing. Their tea selection was small but their cakes and tea sandwiches were great! I really like their artsy deco, very modern!! So the ambiance is great and the service is great. Their tea selection can be a bit larger. If you like afternoon teas, this would be a good place to go as an experience, I wouldn't go back there again. For more reviews, please go to www.thestylegourmande.com Thank you!!

If you must feel like you are in modern day London while in New York, The Crosby is one of the ways to go. The Crosby has a large interior space and a somewhat smaller exterior space, and the decor neatly divides the room without creating barriers, which provides visual space that is such a premium in Manhattan interiors. The Afternoon Tea is authentically British. (I would call it traditional, but there seems to be arguments for the origins of today's Afternoon Tea. The tea options are British, and so are the accompanying delicacies (Earl Grey, English British, and the like with finger sandwiches, scones, and other delights). Afternoon Tea at The Crosby is decidedly a social affair, and the establishment is primarily laid out for pairs of guests. If you are with a friend, I highly recommend the drinks seating over the dining seating, which might be more suitable for partners. The food was good. The drink was good. The service was fine. No one rushed us even though they were completely booked - we spent about three hours there. If you are looking for a special dining experience, this isn't it. This is just a really good way to have a social experience.

This bar is inside one of the lovely Firndale Hotels. We were lucky enough to get to sit on outside patio. The waiter and hostess were so helpful. Their drinks are clever. The place is simply lovely, trendy, not too young, not too old. The bathroom is a long trip and down lots of stairs, but not really a drawback. The atmosphere is warm and inviting.... next time I want to eat as their menu looked super and the food well presented and simple.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Crosby Bar Soho (dined 9/21). I was greeted with a warm welcome from Daniel, who checked on us throughout the evening. Joe was kind, approachable and attentive to our questions/requests. We loved the eclectic/lively ambiance, delicious meal, beautiful china, and garden view. Thank you for your genuine and professional hospitality! I definitely plan to dine here again.

It is in Crosby hotel , a very ncpice bar, beautiful decoration and a nice place ot have brunches and drinks. Great place also to orgonise events , has a little outdoor terrass too.

Try the small plates......they were amazing. The food tasted wonderful and was beautifully presented.

We were celebrating a birthday on a Saturday in April 2022 and it was a hit! We enjoyed so many delectable dishes including: = Seared salmon with potato gnocchi = Grass Fed burger with Fries -- so delicious = Yummy cacio e pepe, farro pasta with crab, shrimp, zucchini You have to eat here if you want delicious food and a beautiful colorful ambience.

This area is awash with great places to eat so the competition is fierce. Had breakfast here, it was ok but nothing more, which is a shame as they have a captive audience.

We shared pan sautéed Brussels Sprouts, arugula and kale salad and French fries with aioli The Brussels Sprouts were sautéed with crisp apple slices and bits of thick cut bacon. The ingredients were fresh and tasty individually but came together with the whole being much better than the sum of its parts. Really nice dish The fries were thin and crispy. Could not have been better prepared. Just the right amount of salt and a spicy aioli made for another great dish. The kale and arugula salad was good but not as amazing as the other two dishes The fresh lemonade was quite good.

We happened on this terrific restaurant in SoHo while looking for a place to have breakfast. The Crosby Bar is attached to the upscale Crosby Street Hotel. The restaurant impresses as top shelf from the minute you walk in the door.... nicely appointed with a typical upscale SoHo ambiance. We were seated quickly and the wait staff managed our table promptly and efficiently without ever making us feel rushed. The breakfast menu is traditional fare, including a vegetarian section, with enough diversity to satisfy any and all appetites. In our group of four, the taste and quality of the menu choices were equaled by the presentation. All exceptional. While towards the higher end of pricing we thought the value equation was well-balanced with the food and service. It was a great start to the day and I would recommend TCSB as a destination for breakfast.

Great food, drinks and service. Trendy, good vibe. A variety of creative cocktails. They are strong!

This is a lovely place for a Sunday brunch. The decor is relaxing and retro, the staff is very attentive and the menu has something for everyone. The room is not noisy, so one can have a conversation.

Great wine list, good snacks (hard to find in many bars!) and wonderful staff. The only challenge is that the beautiful people around you may make you feel out of place. :-)

Went here for drinks on a Saturday evening and it was rocking. Very loud, mostly young crowd. The wine was nice, but trying to hold a conversation above the din was difficult.

My niece and I went for Saturday brunch on the 20th and loved it. I judge all brunches by the eggs benedict and Crosby Street did not disappoint. The service was wonderful and the décor is adorably quirky. The restaurant is not very big but it doesn't feel cramped. I will definitely go back again.

Wonderful bar with great windows, art, food and cocktails. During the day folks linger over coffee or their tea service. Mussels were amazing, fish excellent.

Not only pretty, but great for a large party gathering for brunch or cocktails. A great stop over place for coffee/tea after shopping in the SOHO area or to come in from the cold for some warm cookies and a hot toddy. A real gem of a hotel/restaurant.

Afternoon tea at the Crosby is a nice departure from tea uptown, much of which is over rated (e.g. the Plaza) Quirky, modern and sophisticated, the traditional tea has the most heavenly scones and pastries to compliment the bright and warming Earl Grey on the menu. I gave 4 stars because our server disappeared and we chased the check; otherwise pleased with the experience. Upon being seated servers will quickly try to up sell you on their "champagne" afternoon tea and bottled water - be astute or you'll get more than you bargained for. If you're seeking old NY glamour then head to the Carlyle on the upper east side with attentive service and delicious menu. Alternatively, take a look at Hotel Plaza Athanee or Lady Mendels for proper afternoon tea if modern and quirky isn't your thing.

Had a nice quiet lunch here. Enjoyed the chicken. Service was excellent and attentive. Enjoyed the ambiance. The decor was fun. The only negative was the bathroom was down a long flight of stairs.

In that very hip young room I can only assume I stood out as less than desirable art direction for this trendy watering hole. I can't picture any other explanation for the treatment I received by this waiter Sunday afternoon.

It’s not easy to find a good place for afternoon tea outside of the UK. Add the bar at the boutique Crosby Street hotel to the disappointments. A three-layer pyramid will set you back $55 per person, so a couple would pay $140 if you include tax and tip. Here are the problems. First, though not a single soul was in the tea section of the Crosby on the date we went, the receptionist had us waiting outside for ten minutes past our reservation time saying that “the tables are being finished.” No such thing. The tables were clear. Perhaps we should have stayed outside, or better yet, takev off. The rock-hard scones were the worst ever. And each person gets two large ones, doubtless because they’re the cheapest item on the menu. The bread was right from the refrigerator, the thickness overpowering the egg salad and smoked salmon. We asked for lemon and got four tiny slices. The server did not proactively ask whether we would like extra boiling water for the tea. On the plus side, the chairs and booths are comfortable.

A great bar to stop for a drink/tea or snack when shopping downtown. Great service and friendly, professional staff. Same high standard of service as the London Firmdale hotels and a real pleasure to spend time there.

Bartenders that really know how to create a perfect cocktail. A fabulous bar in central Soho, great ambience, great drinks, and super bar food. highly recommended
Fabulous Bar, Drinks and atmosphere
We had a lovely afternoon here with friends and loved the design and atmosphere. Drinks menu was amazing and the staff were very friendly and prompt. Highly recommend and has a lovely courtyard too
