I had to stop in for a sweet treat

By Justin W |

I had passed Donut Pub when I was visiting the NYU campus and saw all the delicious looking doughnuts in the window and needed to indulge in a sweet treat. I decided on the French Toast doughnut, which was made from a sweet brioche dough and then glazed. It was topped with a vanilla crème and a sweet cookie. It was so decadent and delicious. I loved every bite.

Great doughnuts

The doughnuts here are really good and they have a fun variety. It's a very small place, but there are some seats so you can eat there. My only issue was with the staffer at the register. She got my husband's order right with no issues. With my order, however, she just wasn't listening and made mistake after mistake; from only giving me one doughnut because she said that was all she heard me say, to claiming one doughnut was called something other than what the label said, to ordering a latte after I specifically asked if they had chai and said I wanted a chai tea latte. It was very distressing to keep asking her what she wanted me to say in order to get my order right.

Thank you for being nut free!!!

Wow!!! Absolutely delicious donuts! We heard about this nut free shop before our trip to NYC, and took a taxi to visit with our daughter who has nut allergies. What an absolute treat to get to choose any donut in the place! She loved them so much we went twice on our 5 day trip to NYC. Wish we had a store like yours in Seattle.

I needed a donut

I had a rough afternoon in New York City and needed something to cheer me up. The Donut Pub's sister restaurant on 14th Street was closed for renovations so I went to the Broadway store. I am glad I did. The Birthday Cake doughnut with cream really cheered me up. It was loaded with colorful sprinkles on the outside with a dab of sweet cream in the center of the doughnut. What a treat! It was a little pricey at $3.25 but well worth it. I was in a much better mood when I left and it did cheer me up!

Beautiful Aesthetic!

I've been here a few years ago and nothing has changed because these donuts are still great. I do suggest lowering the prices of the crossaint donut though because I ordered 8 of them and it cost me $44!

donuts or cake?

The donuts were not fluffy enough; one was more like a cake. It's a nice and clean place. The seating is like in an old Diner, with a few seats at a bar. Service is ok.

Amazing doughnuts and service

Someone had posted on Instagram that Donut Pub is one of the best places in NYC for doughnuts. So, I had to go! It was amazing...so many doughnuts on the wall display to choose from. I finally got to try a cronut (croissant donuts are what they call them), and I was not disappointed. *Note: chocolate croissant donuts are just plain ones dipped in chocolate. Maybe I'm the only one who didn't realize that. Still amazing and very chocolatey. We picked up doughnuts two nights in a row for breakfast the following morning. Benjamin was there both nights and we had great conversations with him about the doughnuts and visiting NYC. Very friendly and great service! Will definitely visit again when we're in New York!

Gorgeous Donut's

Gorgeous Donuts and exactly what we needed after a long day of walking in New York. My wife had a chocolate donut and I went for a. Boston Creme. They were delicious. And the staff were lovely and friendly. Highly recommend

Nice place with large assortment of doughnuts! We lost $10 for 2 doughnuts and drinks.

Spacious beautiful shop with a large assortment of donuts. Drinking is not expensive either, can of cold Coke for about $2,-. Donut was very tasty!

Tasty variety

These were the best donuts ever!! We bought a whole dozen, and while it was expensive, it was a treat while we were visiting NYC. My kids loved the Birthday Cake donut and the butter cream icing filling! My favorite was the old fashioned blueberry. FYI Brooklyn Cream donuts taste like buttercream, while the Boston Cream is yellow and custard like. We’ve never see the Brooklyn cream before and it was a huge hit! Would definitely go back. There is something for everyone there!

Do-nut pass this by!

24-hour donuts. Yes, you read that right. City pastry go-to! The classic croissant donut is a hit every time. This order I tried the bowtie but it was underwhelming. I’ve had traditional donuts from here in the past, which were much better. I’ll be back either way and still recommend them. The 14th street location should reopen year. I hope.

Fantastic nut free bakery

Fantastic selection and NUT FREE in a city that generally is careless over allergies. Not just donuts but tasty sandwiches too. Highly recommend, could easily work through all flavours here

Worth a visit!

I didn't know there was a Donut Pub location in the area until I walked past it. It was after 2 pm on a Saturday afternoon and quiet with just a few customers. It's spacious, well lit, and clean. There are so many donuts in many varieties of flavors to satisfy any sweet tooth. They do have a decent selection of vegan donuts, too. Prices are reasonable for the regular donuts and go up to almost $6 for the specialty donuts. Staff was helpful and friendly. I got a chocolate dipper, which was pretty good and the Boston Kreme, which was better than I expected, not too sweet with just enough cream. The donuts are way better than Dunkin' and I’ll be back to try their other flavors.
