The Fulton has an unrivaled view of the Brooklyn Bridge from the Seaport in Lower Manhattan. The food and beverage list match this world class venue. Relaxed but still upscale. One of the very best spots for a unique NYC experience and meal in all of Manhattan.

Beautiful setting overlooking the East River & the Brooklyn Bridge. The best salmon in a canary sauce. We ordered calamari as a starter.

We went to the Fulton for brunch today, and it was a gorgeous day in NYC. We arrived early and were promptly seated at a wonderful booth on the second floor facing the water and the bridge. Zack was our server and he was fantastic. Zack, if you read this, you were great and we would definitely ask for your section again – thank you for your wonderful service! The Fulton is a wonderful location with great ambiance and service. The seafood was very, very fresh; the quality and flavor, some of the best we’ve had. I’ve had a lot of caviar over the years but never Kristal Kaviari – it was very good. Our drinks were great – especially the Yuzu 75. Can one or two go and enjoy the Fulton, with delicious food and drink for under $100 and be satisfied? Absolutely yes. Can you splurge and get a number of items for an extravagant experience? Also, yes. Will some find it overpriced for what you get? That depends on the person. All of the menus are online and the reservation process is fast and easy so take a look and decide for yourself before you decide to go. We loved the second-floor location and if the weather is beautiful, the outdoor seating can’t be beat. What we ordered for 6 of us: 28g Tin of Kristal Kaviari with Blini Royale Seafood Plateau Grand Seafood Plateau 6 Little Neck Clams Yellowfin Tuna Tartare Crispy Fish Tacos Ham Benedict Tagliatelle with Cockles, Broccoli and Black Pepper Za’atar Crusted Salmon Pumpkin Spice Sundae 2 Chocolate Boats Ice Cream Sorbet Trio Numerous drinks including several Yuzu 75 Would we do it again? TBD

A great restaurant with top notch service. Everything we had was just perfect! The view of the restaurant is just amazing! Make sure to make a reservation before you go.

We made reservations for 8:00 on Monday, 7/12/21. The restaurant was about 1/3 full. The service was so poor and slow that regardless of how good the food was, I will never return. It took almost 90 minutes for our entrees to arrive. It was 30 minutes from ordering to the arrival of our appetizers and another 60 minutes thereafter before our entrees arrived. I had to ask the waiter to bring us bread, which they neglected to do, to prevent me from eating my younger son. The food and drinks were quite tasty. The ginger margarita was delicious. The fish were cooked perfectly. The double fried chicken was crispy on the outside and perfectly moist inside with just the right amount of seasoning. Dessert looked good but we skipped it because I had work the next day and we weren’t sure if they would be able to bring us the food before that time. Simply put, the food was great but the service was horrific. The manager “working” this night should be fired. If you are a homeless person this would be a great restaurant to eat in. You can order and loiter the entire day in a restaurant with a great view.

Restaurant was difficult to find. We walked round the building twice before establishing where the front entrance was. Not signed very well. The restaurant appeared to be connected to another bar which confused the situation even more. When booking, you can choose dining room or atrium, but there was no description on what the differences were on the website. When we did finally find the entrance, the staff were very friendly and greeted us on our arrival. Our waitress was also very nice and friendly. When we were seated the receptionist passed us over to a young boy dressed in casual clothing. Whilst he was friendly and polite, it did seem rather strange or out of place should I say. There were staff that walked around to fill our water glasses, I think only 1 of them smiled, the rest didn’t seem happy to be there. Nice venue with a nice view of the bridge. We did ask to be sat with good views of the bridge, hard to say if this was done or not as there were better seats vacant but the view was ok where we were sat. We were given complimentary bread and water and a free cake and ice cream desert as was to celebrate our engagement which was a nice touch. The food in my opinion was over priced. Very small portions. I ordered shellfish tortellini and it came with 4 small pieces of pasta. It was nice, just slightly over priced. I probably wouldn’t go back here again. It was nice to try but nothing special. I think if it was signed better and we were sat in seats with a better view of the bridge it would have made the experience much better. But the food wasn’t anything special. Or maybe we just didn’t order the best dishes perhaps.

For crazy prices, more should be delivered The staff needs to accommodate the customers with grace and manners, the food should be generous and served at the appropriate temperature. If the customer is less than satisfied with a particular dish, he sgkuid be compensated accordingly. I would have loved to love this restaurant, sadly they fell very short of my expectations.

Went with a group of friends to The Fulton. The view is amazing.....right in the East River and looking the Brooklyn Bridge. Service was not great, but it was good. My cocktail was very tasty. I had the kale salad for my appetizer and it was delicious. I had the fish and chips for my entree. Fish was perfect, loved the light crust. The “chips” were nothing special and the mushy peas were fine. The chocolate mousse dessert was amazing. Everyone else at the table seemed to enjoy their meals as well. I sampled the salmon and it was very good. And surprisingly, the cheeseburger was delicious. Overall, a really good experience and would definitely return.

We had dinner on a quiet Sunday evening the restaurant if you come early. The place is looking over the Brooklyn bridge and prides itself for the highest quality fish around. I had a delicious sole and was offered to finish to have it fillet or not I chose to do it myself. The taste was spotted on as I remember it growing up in France. Staff was discreet and yet efficient. The prices are market based on the expensive side and yet totally justified.

Fish dishes were good, but not the non fish dishes. Burger was average, as were the fries. There was an mushroom dunking sauce with the burger which was watery and not very interesting. Black sea bass was excellent. Service was very good. The restaurant is stunning with beautiful views of the East River.

Pros: Excellent location near the South Street Seaport with extensive views on the East River. Tables are well spaced with low background noise if you are seated inside and out of reach from the very loud music in the vast open air area. Cons Poorly designed interior decor culminating in restrooms inconveniently set in semi darkness on the second floor. Diligent but overzealous waiting staff. Average seafood oriented menu.

Went to The Fulton for lunch with my wife during a weekend anniversary trip to NYC. We sat outside in covered space and soaked in a beautiful late summer midday. The restaurant perfectly suits the vibe. It was full but relaxed. The Brooklyn bridge sits off the the left, making for a beautiful backdrop. Had it existed pre-COVID, it would have been filmed constantly for TV show and movie lunch scenes. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive without hovering. We started with a seafood plateau of sashimi, shrimp and oysters. Everything was perfectly fresh and chilled, and the accompanying sauces were spot on. From there, I went with a fried swordfish sandwich with bacon and remoulade. It was delicious, as was the bite I had of my wife’s ( perfectly cooked) lobster roll. Even the house potato chips were melt in your mouth thin and crisp with not too much salt. We added a side of exceptional fries. I had a sweet and sour Cherry tart for dessert. If not as over the top memorable as the other courses, it was still an excellent finish to the lunch. I can’t wait to get back.

Terrible service, huge wait for food both appetizers and entrees. Restaurant was empty inside and about 4 tables occupied outside. $30 for an appetizer sized 'salad' with shrimp = 3 slices of apple, 4 chunks of beetroot, 4 cold shrimp (meant to be hot) and a dollop of sour yoghurt. ew No acknowledgement of terrible service, still paid 20% tip. Go and spend your hard earned money at another 'Michelin' restaurant. Shame.

At the foot of Fulton Street in Manhattan is The Fulton - no ferry needed. The ambience is excellent with sweeping views of the river from the re-developed South Street Seaport building (Pier 17). That said the experience was spotty - some excellent dishes, others ok. Most disconcerting was the lackadaisacal service which we put down to inexperience. It is definitely worth a visit but if it is at night be sure to bring a flashlight - the place is quite dark!

Seafood restaurant by Jean-Georges. Pretty views. Yes, that’s the Brooklyn Bridge right there! Beautiful seating. Almost every seat can enjoy the postcard views from the comfort of the lovely chairs, downstairs next to the (drinks) bar, or upstairs next to the raw bar. Food-wise, chef JG executes perfectly as always. Lobster cocktail was a great way to start the evening, we then shared the crusted salmon, the white asparagus and the uni. All excellent choices - “salmon” seems boring but is actually one of the best salmon I’ve had in years. Overall a lovely evening in a wonderful setting. Worth the detour!

This is a gem at East River. Perfectly situated at the outer part of Pier 17 with a wonderful view over Brooklyn Bridge. We had luck we got a table outside under the patio. After hectic day, we enjoyed oysters, Salmon as a main dish and NY Cheesecake as desert. Everything perfectly prepared. Inside it looked also nice but we enjoyed 77F outside. No question that the service was perfect. We will definitely come back again.

Disappointing. Family style servings not disclosed and were a ripoff. Service was terrible. Had to beg for cocktails. Private gathering. Will not go back.

One of my favorite places to eat. Great food very sad the horrible service that was provided today. The dining experience was very sad.

The service and the views are excellent. Great place for relaxing lunch or after work drinks. Kale salad was phenomenal. Fish tacos were over-rated.

We were very pleased with the options of seafood especially the Asian fusion style - I had the seafood hot pot for entrée which was nicely done. The seafood plateau was a great combo of shrimp, sashimi and oysters. I LOVE the desserts - my husband had the chocolate boat and I had the Pear; they were both beautiful and delicious. The staff were very attentive throughout the whole dinner. The view of the Brooklyn Bridge outside made the meal all the better.

I hosted a group of 10 here for late dinner on a cold evening in January. The view was lovely. We received excellent service and all were pleased with the food. I can't wait to come again in nicer weather!

We stumbled on this place by chance and would come back in a heartbeat! Great location with lovely views, delicious food and impeccable service! Octopus and mozzarella appetiser was melt in the mouth delicious and we found the menu option great value for money.

Absolutely wonderful evening of good food, service and fantastic views. We enjoyed the tasting menu which was dish after dish of deliciousness. Yes, it’s expensive but the quality of the fish is just so good. Generous portions. Our server was delightful and attentive. Wine is pricey. This was a highlight of our visit to NYC.

Four family couples went to The Fulton last weekend for a late lunch to celebrate a Special birthday. The views immediately took our breath away but even better than that - so did the ambience, service and food. The bar had excellent choices as well as skilled craftsmanship. We started our dining with two sashimi platters and a fried calamari. Great start. For lunch, 3 of us had Fish and Chips - other orders included Eggs Benedict, Tagliatelle, Salad and Avocado Toast with Salmon. Every entree was loved by each customer. As good as the food was, so was the service. Plus it was just a cool place. We totally enjoyed our experience and a wonderful time was had by all!!

We enjoyed our dinner out at The Fulton. The setting is low key and relaxed with a view of the East River. We enjoyed the seafood courses and found it to be fresh with interesting combinations. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. It took a little time to get our check at the end as the restaurant was busier. Overall a wonderful dinner and evening out.

NO! DONT DO IT!!!!! We just came from here. We had a reservation for two for tonight. My husband made this reservation based on the views and Jean George name… bad idea. It was our anniversary and we wanted a nice night out on the waterfront. When he made the reservation there was nowhere to note that this was a special occasion. He tried multiple times to call and request a nice table but no one answered for a few days. When we arrived we were seated on the first floor right by the front door, where it was cold and had no view of anything except for some white string lights from the arbor entryway. My husband went back to the hostess stand and explained that he had tried to call and request a table with a nice view but the hostess just replied “oh yeah our phone has been broken for a while”. Confused, my husband then asked to be taken to a new table to which our request was accepted and we were begrudgingly taken (as we carried our own drinks and coats), to a table on the second floor. We were seated at a table that had a 25% view of the bridge and 75% of the cement restaurant wall- see attached picture. Our new server was slow to get to us and seemed annoyed with our presence having been moved from the first floor. We ordered calamari and told the server we needed a few minutes to which he replied “so you’re not ready?” to which we responded- NO and he seemed frustrated with us and walked away. In that time we found a restaurant 10 minutes away called Manhatta- a true place to celebrate that went above and beyond. This new place almost seemed happy to accept our $400 that we spent on dinner. It’s unfortunate that the staff of Fulton do not believe in service (a manager didn’t think to maybe stop by our table and help us with a little customer service?!) or maybe they just don’t need money because we were looking to have a good dinner -and we did!- just at someone else’s restaurant. If you’re looking for a dinner experience- do NOT go here.

The Fulton has beautiful views of NYC, and what should have been a great evening, turned out to be a major disappointment. Not sure what Jean Georges is trying to achieve with this "big box restaurant" as it is a far cry from his flagship restaurant, Jean George and Nougatine, which I have always loved. The food was mediocre at best, the service worse than the neighborhood diner, and the atmosphere similar to a TGI Friday's with loud music.

The service at this restaurant was great, our waiter was very friendly and attentive and always made sure that we had everything we needed. The food was great, I'm not really a seafood fan but I had their cheeseburger and it was one of the best burgers I've ever had which I wouldn't expect at a seafood restaurant. We were celebrating my cousins birthday and they brought out a slice of cake for her and lit a candle and wrote happy birthday which we thought was a nice touch. It's in a great location too and has a nice view of the Brooklyn Bridge. Would definitely come back!

We went to celebrate my birthday, and it was such a great experience. The place is right by the river, which is beautiful view , and the inside feels cozy and elegant with lighting , candles and sea decorations . The staff were attentive from the moment we arrived . They asked about our preferences and explaining the menu. We ordered The black sea bass fish and loved the presentation and how delicious it was. They told it for two people , but honestly it was enough to share with 3 or 4 .The salads and bread (including gluten-free options) were all excellent. They have a lot gluten free options and payed all details to it . We truly appreciate it as some family members have strong allergy restrictions. Later, despite I didn’t order dessert, they surprised me with a birthday dessert and even brought one for my husband.. We felt truly welcomed and taken care of the whole evening. Great food and great service. We’ll definitely be back.

My husband and I were staying at the Lyric Hotel on Pine Street and wanted a special place for dinner. The Fulton excels at fresh seafood, cooked by top chefs and beautifully plated. We had excellent service, and a wonderful experience. We will definitely go back there.

We tried the new restaturant by Chef Jean George at the new pier in the South Street Seaport and we are very Happy of our selection. The food is very good and inventive ,the setting is great, with a view of the New York waterfront and Brooklyn Heights, the service is pleasant(but need a little more training) The prices are moderate for the quality. The place just opened and you know that the chef care as he comes every nights to check on the place ,(for now) The only minus is the prices of wines that are in my opinion a little on the high side. We will return

While the ambiance and menu is fantastic- please change the address on your web from 89 South to Pier 17. Don’t tell people to drop off at South and Fulton without saying cross over! Other than that which Was a problem for me without the dinner🙏🤪😘

absolutely adored the place. stayed there for a long and wonderful evening of 8 courses-- each course topped the last. from raw fish, to tuna tartare, and desert. excellent fish and views. service was very personabale.

Poor service, Poor quality of food, Poor preparation. Everything was poor. This place would not survice if not in NYC. Good view of the bridge which you can get outside the restaurant. The food quality was exceptionally poor, better off buying it from Whole Foods. Not worth the price, not close. We waited between each part of the meal and had to get up and flag down the waiter to pay. Exceptionally poor.

We visited the rebuilt south street seaport area, finding it remarkably underbuilt and empty on a Saturday afternoon in December. But we stumbled on this Jean-Georges restaurant there and we had a great lunch and a wonderful waitress who gave us terrific advice that led us to the other side of lower Manhattan where there was more Christmas activity. We all had seafood sandwiches or lobster scrambled eggs and everything was delicious.

I dined at The Fulton on a gorgeous Fall Saturday night. We were party of 4 celebrating a recent milestone . I booked via Resy 2 weeks ago . Upon checking in I was told that I can only sit at bar or lounge area - I replied that I usually dine at main dining area as per my Resy profile preference. Matre d person started to lecture about layout of restaurant as if I should have studied restaurants layout prior to dining here ! Annoyed I followed seater to upstairs he ask if I want to sit at bar for my party of 4 - I said no that’s not good - and he said he can offer the “lounge” and I hesitated but agreed . I have 3 guests with me and is not like we can just go to another restaurant next door - and we were in celebrating mood not here to argue My lounge tables (2 little short bar stools) are situated next to waiter station. The servers are not what I expected at a JeanGeorge restaurant- they more like fast food workers. Due to our sitting arrangement waiters’ backsides are constantly almost on my left shoulder with lots of annoying chatting and glasses and water spilling from servers that I do not need to hear at a fine JeannGeorge restaurant of 5 star hopeful caliber. Ambience from wait service is subpar - management you need to work on this ! Food is good but not any more impressive than other restaurants of fine dining status and our small lounge table can hardly hold all our appetizers and drinks - the worst part is .... 2 hours later after we left dinner I had stomach pains as if I had taken laxatives !!!! I was mortified and still feel stomach uneasiness this morning I don’t know what happened but needless to say I was very disappointed at my dining experience and did not raise an issue at restaurant since our dinner is celebrate each other and did not want to upset my friends celebration I had looked forwarded to dining at Fulton and even thought having a holiday event there - but this is not an incident I wish to encounter again And again I think adjustments needed on staff from matre d to servers

Four of us had a mediocre meal at The Fulton. The tuna tartare and fluke crudo were delicious. But no serving utensils were brought and the waitress knew the orders were to share. Also no spoon makes it hard to get to the delicious sauce. The crab roll was good, the home made potato chips were good, the Fish & Chips were disappointing, the fish was great the slabs of potato underneath were not crisp and heavy for the light flounder. The fish tacos were soggy and the wheat tortillas were soggy too. The crusted salmon was very good as was the squash it was served with. Fries were ok. Lemon pudding with lemon sorbet was good, the pistachio and marzipan ice creams were nothing much and the cherry sorbet tasted like Benadryl, which I happen to like but not in sorbet. The best things the strawberry fields cocktail. Go for drinks.

This new restaurant is a good place to visit if you enjoy seafood and like fusion cuisine. The view from upstairs is also nice. The brunch selection, however, is disappointing and I recommend going there for dinner instead of brunch.

Service, food is over rated. Would not recommend, credit card system did not work, had to find a bank machine to get cash, just all around poor

Went there for a solo dinner for my birthday, Maine Lobster and Champagne. Service outstanding, excellent food and wine, affordable price considering that the restaurant is at Pier 17, nice view of the city around, very nice atmosphere around the fish bench with the guys working with oysters and clams, Top rated, absolutely

Visited in early Jaunary with family and friends for lunch. We ordered raw fluke, octopus for appetizer. as main course we ordered salmon, fish and crisp, Gruyer cheese burger. I love the playful way the chef deconstruct so familiar American water front restaurant dishes and create entirely another level of experience with amazing attention to details. Especially impressed with mushed pea and ume based butter sause of salmon. M.Jean-Georges Vongerichten is familiar with sometimes sad American limitation to enjoying gourmet establishments, The way we are never fully satisfied unless we find something familiar and safe perhaps. It was funny to find something that looked exactly like American mustard that turned out to be rich rouille. In exactly the same playful way he created magic with the cheese burger. As with all great food experience we all became happy and somewhat euphoric after the meal for a long walk along the water front despite the cold weather.

Great food…. Nice location… staff was very friendly and attentive….. had the soft shell crab… it was very good… a friend had the longevity noodles and that was delicious … highly recommend

23 June I took my guest (both of us black) to tour of NYC Pier area. Stopped at Fulton Restaurant by (chance) for a drink. We asked the first staff who we saw at the entrance where we could sit for a drink. He directed us to the outdoor area. We sat at a table. within minutes a staff member (lady) came and informed us that we should not sit there because all the tables were reserved. (I confirm that many tables were empty). She never offered us an alternative seat (even at the bar) so we had to leave the restaurant . The staff followed us to the exit. The staff was telling us to talk to the manager. Did not matter who kicked us out.! Really! Poor choice we made. My foreign guest and I had a pleasant day at a nearby restaurant where we were very well received and the meal and service excellent. What a shame!

We had been to this restaurant before and thought the seafood and great view were worth a further attendance. For starters, we ordered the Yellowfin tuna tartare with Yuzu mustard sauce and a separate gem salad. The tasty mustard sauce with the tartare really 'cut through' the freshness of the fish. The gem salad had a rather lovely avocado puree with radish and pistachio, which gave it many pleasant textures. For the main course, we ordered the swordfish, which was accompanied by brown butter sauce, chilis, capers and chargrilled Romaine lettuce. We also ordered diver scallops with braised vegetables, coconut broth and spicy Yuzu vinaigrette. All very tasty and fresh. No dessert, but Espresso Martinis were taken. The atmosphere was busy and friendly. Let's not forget the fantastic and iconic view of The Brooklyn Bridge. A 'shout out' to our server, Marcus, who was friendly, witty, polite and very knowledgeable of the menu.

Nice view but service is absolutely terrible and the restaurant manager is particularly rude. Avoid this place!

Restaurant in Sea Port, directly overlooking the Hudson, with a beautiful view of the Brooklyn Bridge. Elegant and refined environment, fish cuisine. Excellent shrimp cocktail and tacos tried as an appetizer. Delicious salad with chicory, persimmon and pomegranate. The salmon with mushroom cream is delicious, as is the lobster roll. Delicious avocado toast. Good chocolate, banana and raspberry cookies. All the dishes satisfied us, high prices, friendly and attentive service even if the wait was quite exhausting.

Once you are fully windblown and arrive at a modern tasteless space at the end of pier 17 only to be told although you have a reservation the dining room is full and seating is on a first come basis. The lady in charge was nice enough but not welcoming— not warm or gracious The eggs with lobster which we both had was good but not exciting For a fish restaurant the choices were too limited and ordinary. The room the food the workers were without distinction but passable. Not so different from the neighboring restaurant on the same pier

A passing by walk in, but the service was excellent. I had a Shrimp burger that was absolutely fantastic. Also had some Asparagus which was out of this world. WOW. Definitely coming here again.

New kid on the block The Fulton came with great expectations. JG has some stellar restaurants, and The Fulton's location is hard to beat: right on the river, with views towards the Brooklyn Bridge or across the East River. Maybe because it's relatively new, but unfortunately The Fulton fell well under par for both service and food. Service was extremely slow and erratic, with random harried staff turning up without really understanding what was going on. Wine recommendations were met with a blank stare, followed by "that's my favourite" to all three we enquired about. They all looked under pressure, either because they are under-staffed, or under-trained. The food was ok, but simply unremarkable. It could have been any old mid-priced joint, of which FiDi has plenty, but The Fulton is charging on the higher side. (Warning: a friend had the seafood platter: it is not enough for an entree.) Unfortunately, the fact it was very noisy, with people in the booth behind us shouting away (there's no wall between the booths), pushed this firmly into the "we won't be coming back" territory, even though some of the issues are likely to be teething problems.

Make no mistake, the food and atmosphere of The Fulton are incredible. What we found, however, was a lack in quality of service. Waiting times between being served our drinks, starters and mains were all upwards of half an hour, and we waited almost an hour for deserts, with no drinks on the table. We were left feeling overlooked for the majority of our stay. While the views were beautiful, and the food (when it came) was delicious, our overall impression wasn't the most positive.

A beautiful restaurant by the river, but I must say my friends and I had a not so good lunch. the service was not good, the food took forever to arrive and it was not as expected ...the sizes are pretty small and not to tasty. The prices of pretty expensive. I think they had a service problem that day (the waitress apologizes for it). We will not return...

We had an unbelievable experience at the Fulton in October 2024. Although we are British we were in New York for the wedding of our son and daughter-in-law. What an experience. We were there over the lunch period and were pretty much the only people in the restaurant. We were waited on hand and foot by Hemingway and his colleagues. The menu was set for appetizers, mains, and desserts. And the food was exquisite. I realise that it may have been quite pricey for the average person, but to be honest, we felt that we were spoilt by the staff and the quality of the food, drink, and service - we honestly thought that it was worth it. And the view over the East River and the Brooklyn Bridge was also an experience for us. Once again, thank you to Hemingway, the chef, and their crew on making a very special day even more incredible for us in New York. TL;DR - Pay a bit more, but experience an incredible atmospheric meal while visiting New York.

We were a party of 5 eating at the Fulton. Our reservation was for 8pm but our table was only ready at 8:30pm. As soon as we sat at the table a full glass of water was spilled buy the waitress in the table- she overfilled the glass. Later in the meal this same waitress spilled a bottle of ketchup on my son. Three of us ordered the salmon which was served in very high bowls ( fashionable but serve no purpose) . The salmon was submerged in this very lemony clear soup which we didn’t care for and caused us a heartburn afterwards. I had called the restaurant to remind them that we were celebrating a very special birthday yet they failed to wish my husband happy birthday, no mention of the event at all. Finally the restaurant is very very dark. We all had to use our flashlights to see the menus ( including our two Columbia students) and the way to the restrooms is also very dark ( why?). Overall very disappointing and upsetting experience especially when we wanted to have a nice experience for the birthday.

Wonderful views and location. The decor is modern , nothing special. What came as a great disappointment having dined in many of Jean-George's restaurants over the years from the time of Vong, was the mediocrity of The Fulton. The smashed peas and potatos with the popular fish and crisps was over salted. The servers were not particularly attentive, not rude but not very well trained. Skip the visit, certainly not worth the price.

Had dinner at The Fulton and sat outside on the patio — the view of the Brooklyn Bridge was amazing and even better as it got later and the bridge lights came on. I had the swordfish Milanese, which was delicious, and we ordered the carrots on the side, which were so good. My husband ordered the Crab and Corn Risotto, which he said was really different than a typical risotto with crunchy bits of what he thinks was puffed rice - but delicious and would order again - Great spot for a relaxed evening by the water.

Best seafood in ny? No way. The salmon was way too salty and comes with literally 4 small daikons or whatever they’re called. It’s unacceptable to pay $35 for a meal and need to eat again when you get home. Basically just a piece of salmon for $35. And that was one of the lower priced items. Prices are laughably high. $28 burger. Waiter was rude and refused to split the tab according what each of us ordered and we were a party of 2.

I don't know how this place has gotten any good reviews, except that if you're at Pier 17 to see a concert you're captive because it's the only restaurant. Food was actually decent but the experience was laughable. Seriously a joke. Start with the incompetent duo at the outside reception desk. The young man told us they don't seat outside till 5:30 (which is a ridiculous rule), but that we could sit at the bar inside and eat at 5:00. It was 4:50 so we opted to eat inside. As we sat at the bar, we were told that we can only order a drink at 5:00; we still could not order food till 5:30. So I went back outside to tell the people at reception that we would indeed take an outside table at 5:30. He told me they were booked up till 7:00. LOL. I actually asked him why he didn't tell me that to begin with! And he just basically stared at me and mumbled. Both the man and woman at the reception desk were like confused Middle Schoolers the entire time. Getting info was excruciating, it was like pulling teeth, and they were clueless, distant, and cold. Back inside, the bartender handed us a menu with food and drinks on it. We decided what we were drinking and started planning what we would order for dinner. The bartender heard us and said "don't get attached to anything because I just handed you the lunch menu." (LOL... ummm... why?) At 5:30 they gave us a menu; but they had to take the menu away from another patron because apparently they don't have enough. They don't have a big menu, but were out of what I wanted: the soft shell crab. I had a glass of wine that was like pure vinegar; undrinkable. The bartender was kind and gracious when I told her; then she actually poured a taste from the bottle for herself and agreed that it had gone bad, and poured the bottle down the drain. But at $21 a glass at a Jean Georges restaurant, this shouldn't be happening. Ahhh... the design of the place. Apparently whoever designed it has never worked in a restaurant or bar. The poor bartenders have to lean over a table with dishes on it, then stretch DOWN to give drinks to patrons on one side of the bar because that side is lower than the other side. It's a horrific working condition. And almost everything the bartenders need requires them to continually bend under the counter. Shame on whoever designed this. It was painful to watch. The rest rooms upstairs: twisting hallway in the dark; literally can't find the door handle to get into the rest rooms. Seriously? They thought they were being chic and sophisticated but it's just silly. AND... on the stairs that lead up to the bathroom and extra dining area are REAL CANDLES on each step, on the floor under the bannisters. Are they insane?? Anyone could easily kick one and douse the person in front with wax! Or a long dress could easily catch fire! What ignoramus thought of this idea?? Our food was pretty good, but ridiculously expensive; I wouldn't have minded if the overall experience was what fine dining SHOULD be as opposed to the better experiences I've had at a Perkins restaurant. Don't waste your money here. Go to a place a block or two away!!

My wife and I had a wedding anniversary dinner here and we were both very pleased. My wife had requested a table by a window and we got one. The view of the East River and the bridges was spectacular. The only slight criticism was the bartender did not know what a lot royale was, but we ordered suitable substitutes. My wife had the raw tuna and I had hamachi. She really enjoyed her appetizer and mine owas quite good, but I thought hers had more taste. My wife then had a swordfish schnitzel which was excellent while I had a very generous and delicious fish stew. We shared a dessert of a chocolate mousse with a scoop of vanilla and a scoop of passion fruit ice cream. Outstanding! Service was wonderful and we both thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

As a birthday treat, a friend took me to the Fulton, a new sea food restaurant opened recently at South St Seaport overlooking the East River. The food was divine-the salmon was the best I have ever had-succulent, juicy, encrusted with coriander seeds and bathed in a lime reduction sauce served on top of grilled sliced petit pan squash with a side of grilled asparagus with grilled mint and a bit of jalapeño sauce. The lunch was paired with a very pleasant Sauvignon Blanc . Desserts were the Cherries Pavlova with pistachio in vanilla ice cream on a merengue with cherries drenched in a Champaign sauce that was amazing while my friend had the dark chocolate with peanut brittle base that was a taste tantalizer of dark chocolate mousse on wafers with a peanut & caramel brittle base with a bite of salt contrasted against the dark chocolate on top of the caramel peanut base. Dessert was followed by an excellent espresso. I loved the outdoor seating with views of the harbor and far away from their choice of music. The service was pleasant and attentive but fell short of perfect although the order mishap was made right immediately(she placed only one order for the salmon assuming we were going to split the dish-this error was corrected as soon as the first dish arrived). The decor is brutalist-greys upon grey with a bit of beige/off white interspersed. The restrooms on the 2nd floor are a dark slate grey and rather dark even with the lights. However It was a delightful lunch-the food was excellent, the day was clear with views of the East River topped by a cerulean sky with white cloud formations- a really lovely interlude from an otherwise hectic NYC life. As an added plus the prices were very reasonable for the area-entrees ranged between $24-$28, sides $8-$12, wine $14-$21 a glass on average.

The views are fantastic here. You get nice view of Brooklyn and Staten Island. The food is pricy but all very good. Don't forget to try their famous burger, it's a hit.

Great location, nice staff, excellent food - simply great. We’ve been there quite a lot, always best quality of the dishes, excellent seafood choice.

Made a 7:15pm reservation for 4 for December 11th. Our guests arrived at 7:10 and we not seated since we had yet to arrive. We arrived at 7:24 and were told a table was not yet available (also suggesting we were late (Really!!!)). I inquired how long the wait would be and was told 10-15 minutes. The Maitre D, George, treating me, and my patronage with a disturbing amount of casual indifference. After 30 minutes of waiting and nothing, we inquired what our status was and were again put off without explanation by the condescending staff. After another 10 minute we escalated our issue with the manager and, although understanding of our plight, was unable to seat us. Finally, 50 minutes post reservation we were seated. The Maitre D and his underlings were baffled by our being upset (amazing) and totally unresponsive. Somebody needs to tell these people they are in the hospitality business not the hostility business. George should be summarily fired.

It is a very modern and dynamic restaurant. Food is top notch and the views are post-card worth, the y also have a very well designed cellar. The Crusted Sea Bass was just superb. Excellent attention to detail. Service was fantastic.

The Fulton locates in Pier 17 in the South Sea Seaport is a upscale restaurant with amazing views of east river and the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge. The wait service is professional and the wine selection is top notch. Their menu is not not varied but exact and constructed to delight the one’s palate

fantastic experience! loved the food, the decor, the service. all around a win-win. always always a great experience as with all of Jean-Georges restaurants: fish was fresh, delicate, inventive. loved it ALL. lychee cocktail: delicious. ceviche was perfection. black sea bass of note: must have. salmon with spaghetti squash and passion fruit was different and an unexpected pairing, really good. the views of the waterfront with the brooklyn bridge from upstairs, close to the windows are amazing. will be back.

Indifferent waiter. First comment out of his mouth was not a welcome but do you know what you want. Drink service inconsistent- had to remind the waiter of missing drinks. Not all the meals came at the same time. Food was just ok. Not great. Even tried what foods critics rave about - fish and chips - overcooked, simple salmon- not medium rare as ordered but dry, broccoli rabe - soaked in oil, chocolate mouse - just ok. Despite requesting a table to celebrate a birthday given a table next to the waitress stand while better tables remained open throughout our dinner.

Tricky place to find, as combined with other restaurant's within complex. Sat outside close to the river with fabulous views. Good choice's on menu. Staff not particularly engaging. Good quality Food and Wine but lacking ambience.

3rd time I have visited had no reservation at 9:15pm told only bar upstairs so went upstairs and seated. No servers in my section so just sat ... after looking like I might be in need of at minimum water someone took pity on us Ok food can’t make up for being made to feel unwelcome or a bother to the staff for arriving to eat after 9.

The Fulton is located at Pier 17 in the Seaport District of NYC. This restaurant is located right on the water and has beautiful views of the Brooklyn Bridge. We had reservations for this restaurant as it gets pretty busy. This is a very large 2 story establishment that was full of people when we arrived. We were seated at a nice window table and the views are amazing. Note: If it is cold outside being near the window is cold, so make sure to bring a sweater. Our waiter took our drink order promptly and we reviewed the menu. This is a seafood kind of place, and we love oysters so that was on our agenda to order. Our experience of the service at this restaurant was not good. We rarely saw our waiter. They were very busy and maybe this was an off night for them, but it was hard to get our order in as we didn’t see our waiter much during our dinner. When he did finally come around, we were able to get our order of oysters, beet salad, brussels sprouts, scallops and black sea bass in. The oysters arrived promptly, but the rest of the food took a while. All of the food was extremely good; however, the sea bass was cold when it arrived, so we had to send it back (finding someone to talk to about it was challenging, and my husband had to flag someone down). The manager didn’t come over until the very last minute, so it was too late at that point to fix anything. Again, my husband had called ahead to have a birthday dessert presented, which never happened. I would recommend this place for the food, but don’t expect good service.

I have no idea why people would write negative reviews for this fantastic restaurant. The location on Pier 17 was superb overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge. The outdoor seating is excellent. The service was phenomenal. The drinks were awesome. The heirloom tomato salad was excellent. Both of our main dishes were excellent. The flavors are incredibly well balanced, delicious, and well presented. The cherry dessert was phenomenal. Nothing but wonderful things to say.

Tried this place on Pier 17 because of the rep of Jean-Georges.We were lucky to have an outside table with a fabulous Brooklyn Bridge view. Every dish was expertly prepared and delicious. That is when we got them. The server appeared to be a total novice. Drink orders were particularly mis-handled. Several arrived AFTER we had finished our meals yet were ordered before the first course. It took over 30 minutes for a bottle of wine to arrive - this after reminding our "server" of the order. Water glasses were scrupulously avoided. When it came to for food to arrive, it did so by way of multiple different servers - always a bad sign. Had we been less frustrated by the chaotic serving we would have ordered desert. Looking around the seating area it appeared everyone else was having the same experience. Clearing away dishes seems not to have been taught to this crew of waitstaff. So sad because the eating was top-notch. The waiting spoiled it. If this place gets its service part down it could be great. Perhaps it's a combination of a too big restaurant and too inadequate a staff. JG should be embarrassed.

I really enjoyed my first order of fish and chips on Tuesday. Ordered the same thing the second time and it turned out to be the complete opposite. Burnt, very dark, overfried :( Looked like a fish from some cheap place that used the same oil for a few days so it turned black :( Maybe they have a different chef on Thursday, but the dish was a big disappointment.

I rarely take the time to leave a review, though given how surprisingly poor the experience here was combined with the difficulty in making a reservation. (It took me at least 3 tries to get a table) I am compelled to share so others have managed expectations. I would have never guessed that Jean Jorge was behind this venture. He would be embarrassed by both the food and service here. From the dismissive nature of the host staff to the overpowering flavors on my spice encrusted salmon - most everything here was a total miss. The service in particular was quite atrocious. We experienced long stretches without hearing a thing from the server and in the middle of service got a new server without any explanation. Once we were finished with our meal a new server reset the table for another course... and 1- mins later someone else returned to clear the plates and leave dessert menus?? We waited 15 min after asking for a refill of wine, twice. The waitress recommended that we put our order in all at once as things in the kitchen were still "hairy". The kale salad, while slightly overdressed, was my favorite part! In calling several time to make a reservation, host staff behaved as though it's the toughest table in town. Though upon arrival, one couldn't miss the many empty seats throughout the resto. My guess is that they don't have enough servers/ staff to service the very large space. Training has clearly not been a priority either. The Fulton is still fairly new so perhaps things will improve. I have zero desire to go back based on the value proposition or the experience with the food. Unfortunate as I live in the neighborhood.

I had dinner with a friend on the terrace with a view of the Brooklyn Bridge. The food was really good. I would highly recommend the white shrimp stew and my friend had 3 appetizers. The service was done well so that she had an appetizer as the same time as mine and then two with my main course. The waiter had great timing as we didn't feel that he was always there but whenever we needed him he was always there. Great service, great food, great view.

This is a very large restaurant with multiple components. The downstairs dining area is in an incredibly tall room that opens to the outdoors. Seating is available indoors, outdoors and in between. There are multiple bar areas and there was room for a live jazz quartet when we visited. There is another huge dining room(s) upstairs with even better views than from the first floor. It even feels cozy / comfortable up there. Our service was much better than reported in prior reviews--smart, thoughtful and attentive. The food was as good as expected. Lots of variation and creativity. Very well prepared appetizers and entrees. Desserts continued the creativity. Lots of drinking possibilities, including wines by the glass. Many opportunities to accommodate couples, medium sized tables and much larger groups. But nothing made us feel crowded with others. We were positively impressed with our experience. It was not a bargain buy a better value than other high priced competitors.

We live in the area and were happy to hear that the Fulton, by Jeans Georges, was opening in Seaport. While there are plenty of good restaurants around, very few check all the boxes: food, atmosphere, staff. The Fulton exceeded our expectations in all categories. The food was amazing, cocktails were original, and the setting on Pier 17 is perfect when the weather is nice. Get the Fluke and Octopus starters, you won’t be disappointed.

This place is expensive, but the menu is great. Very heavy on seafood options, so come prepared for that. If you are not a seafood fan, don’t bother coming here. Great seating outside and in, lovely views of the East River and Brooklyn Bridge. service was subpar. Declan, our server, was hard to find and we sat much longer than we wanted waiting for him to appear which is reason for four stars. The food was inventive — soft shell carb dish was very dood with a nice spicy sauce which was different than any other way I have ever had it served. Great spot once they get the service issues worked out.

Our food expert ( grandson #1) suggest we eat at this new place for us. The venue is hard to find on a pier juting into the East River and a walk once a taxi drops you off. Its well worth the trip. The whole experience was excellent.

A perfect night on the patio: the weather, the view, the service, the food! Our appetizers (octopus, calamari, heirloom tomatoes) and entrees (salmon, Gruyère cheeseburger, and shrimp and Crab Campanelle) were delicious. If you are looking for the ultimate outdoor dining experience in Manhattan, The Fulton met all our needs. And I fully intend to return even when the weather gets cooler, because when l visited the second floor on the way to the restroom, I was taken by the incredible views of the Brooklyn Bridge and cozy atmosphere.

I came here with my SO for a New Year's Eve lunch, and while I enjoyed the food, was underwhelmed by the service. We were 15 minutes early and so the hostess seated at the bar area, next to another couple also waiting for their table. Their table become ready and so they attempted to settle the bill with a credit card. The bartender had misplaced the card, and so a hilarious 5 minute search commenced. It was ultimately found behind the cash register. Having witnessed this, we decided to settle our bar tab with cash, and it turned out there was no change, and so another 5 minute trip up to the office was required to change a $50. Then we were seated at a table at the rear of the restaurant near the delivery entrance, with a partial river view, and with somewhat sporadic waiter service. Our disappointment with the table was mitigated by a visit from the very pleasant sommelier after we ordered a relatively expensive bottle of wine; he spoke to us for several minutes about the wine and then pointed out some other values on the wine list (he cited the Chablis and Pouilly-Fuisse, among others). The food was very good for lunch, we enjoyed the crispy calamari, the avocado toast and the crispy fish tacos.

We went for a family celebration and were very disappointed. $17 for a glass of Prosecco of low quality served in a wine glass. We ordered oysters and they were not properly shunned and had lots of small pieces of shell inside. For the main course I ordered a pasta with clams. The past came cold and the clams were even colder. I was not given a dish for the clam shells and had to use my water glass. Service was very slow. Unlike most outdoors restaurants they did not provide any heaters.

They don’t tell you that they’re not doing the food week in NYC on Saturdays just to have you going there for nothing. Very annoying, their website doesn’t mention anything about it and they decided to just skip Saturdays, exactly the day that I went there.

We heard some great chatter about this restaurant, open for about 2 months now, and wanted to check it out for ourselves. Chose a seafood plateau, seasonal tomato dish, steak, and scallops - all incredibly delicious and well prepared. Fresh pepper and mint garnishes along with shishito peppers. We sat inside because of the heat, but I can imagine the outdoor dining will be wonderful overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge when it’s a bit more bearable. Giving it 4/5 stars because the prices were a bit high compared to restaurants of equal caliber in the city - especially the drinks. Also, the staff was kind enough, but a bit unorganized. There was a door left open and I had to swat away a moth. Regardless, will be returning for the great food and overall setting.

We came to celebrate an anniversary. The restaurant is dazzling with window views to the pier and the Brooklyn Bridge. The food is good but the portion is rather small. Nothing was outstanding and everything tasted a bit commercialized. It lacks soul! The service was excellent!

The Good; Food tasted great as you would expect from a Jean Georges restaurant. I’ve been to five others of his places. The Bad: my party was placed in an area with very limited views of the river. The service was very poor (took 45 minutes before we got our drinks; they forgot napkins; the lamp on the table didn’t work; hard to get their attention; they were out of some ingredients). This service was two stars. Th Ugly: The bathrooms were filthy! I waited five minutes for a unit to open when an employee left a single-seater all-gender bathroom. The toilet was not flushed and the floor was drenched. Who does that? Overall, a great (and expensive) disappointment for a Jean George restaurant.

A gift from JG. to New Yorkers and others who are lucky to dine here. What a relaxing ( in ny terms though dress appropriately ) well located restaurant on the pier ( SouthSt Seaport) looking out at one of the best harbor views (the bridge and directly across, Brooklyn).)With dishes to please knowledgeable palates and eyes, the level of cooking is very high (well of course) with prices that are not. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❤️

This is tricky to find so allow a bit of extra time. I was slightly worried as what I had booked as it looked like a food court with a cinema etc. But I stepped in The Fulton and it was stunning. Ask for a table upstairs facing the bridges. It was really beautiful and we were blown away. One of the best restaurants ever. Views and stunning wine and food. It was fabulous. GO!! XX

Had a wonderful brunch here to celebrate our 40th anniversary. We had so much great food and drink. Shared for the table their longevity noodles with lobster - so good. Prices are quite high - paying for the name and location of course.

I really enjoyed my miniscule lunch the other day at the Fulton on Pier 17. The quinoa salad with greens, fresh mint, little strawberries, shrimp, and quinoa, was delicious. But the portion was tiny! I mean miniscule. (And I'm a very small person myself.) For $30. But the view of the East River and the Brooklyn Bridge on a sunny day was lovely. This, in a nutshell, is the New York City fine dining experience: one pays dearly for location, location, location. (If you simply want a very good meal, normal portions, at a reasonable price, go to a good old-fashioned Greek diner, found all over NYC.)

We booked this for our nyc visit. Relatively unaware it was Valentine’s Day but happy to get involved (V day is a bit of a non event in the U.K.). We arrived on time, had to wait 20 mins for our table. Initially seated by the door and so cold we had to ask to move - but all well resolved by the team. Our first 30 or so mins here felt a bit stretched - maybe they had too many reservations? The staff seemed stressed and scrambling. Once seated it all improved. An incredible view, food ranging from good to excellent (have the raw scallops and the tartare - incredible!) and helpful. I think on a normal night, they’d do a better job. The food was great.

This restaurant served my daughter maple walnut ice-cream instead of vanilla after she explicitly told her server she had a nut allergy, and she even double checked, asking about the ice-cream, noting it looked like it could have nuts in it. He reassured her that it did not have nuts, only vanilla beans. After one bite, she immediately realized it did indeed have nuts in it. This is very negligent and completely unacceptable! Luckily, she is OK now but it ruined the rest of her evening.

Difficult to decide what to order! We finally settled on just a couple of appetizers: sea trout & oyster tartare and then octopus & mozzarella with lemon zest. Each outstanding. Bottle of pinot noir made by 12 east 12th completed our lovely experience.

We arrived 20 minutes early for our reservation and were asked to wait at the bar, where we were encouraged to order drinks. However, despite the restaurant being half empty, and despite our insistence, we were only seated at a table 10 minutes after our reserved time. While this delay might not have been a major issue, the slow service continued throughout our visit. It took an hour and ten minutes from our arrival to receive our first appetizer, and it came in the completely wrong sequence. We couldn't shake the feeling that the staff was trying to push us into ordering more drinks, perhaps because they have higher profit margins. As I mentioned, the restaurant was only half full, so it was perplexing to experience such a delay. Although the manager did listen to our concerns, their solution was to hurriedly bring the remaining dishes to our table, leaving us unable to fully enjoy or appreciate the food. The quality of the meal was average, and the service was mediocre. The only redeeming factor was the breathtaking view, but it certainly didn't justify the hefty bill of US$700 for a Party of two that we paid. Overall, our dining experience fell short of expectations due to the slow service, mediocre food, and the feeling of being pushed to order drinks. While the restaurant may boast a stunning view, it simply does not excuse the shortcomings we encountered. After our 10th visit to this wonderful city we wanted to try out something new… in this case it was a very bad decision.

We recently dined outside and had a lovely dinner here. Our server was efficient and knowledgeable. The food was delicious, particularly the shrimp and the tuna tartare appetizers. The view was gorgeous. Highly recommend.

When here a year ago and it was sublime. Unfortunately not so any longer and we were disappointed. Started with poor service on arrival: disengaged check in and waited 25 mins for table. Fabulous view as ever but food was fairly pedestrian. My calamari salad was mostly greens and grated carrot, others ordered fried shrimp which was bland and unattractively presented. My sister in law had sea bass for an entree -it was fine but the potatoes under it were uncooked. My swordfish scallopini was the best of the night but the accompanying sauce was very salty. All 4 of us ordered desserts but mine appeared after everyone else had finished and this seemed weird given it was a slice of chilled caramel tart. Our waitress for the night was very process oriented and there was no charm! I said I did not want to pay for my dessert and expected it to be off bill. After initially pushing back she agreed after I said it was unacceptable. Over all sad to write this as it was a special occasion dinner and I’d not return. JGV would not be impressed! Hope it comes back but for now there are countless better restaurants in NYC!

The Fulton by Jean-Georges is an excellent location for either lunch or dinner. The cuisine was outstanding, with everything being remarkably fresh. The views from the table are spectacular, showcasing the Brooklyn Bridge. When the weather is pleasant, it is advisable to secure a table outdoors. The restaurant is situated in The Seaport.

We had dinner on the patio at sunset on an early autumn evening. The view of the river, Brooklyn Bridge and skyline is spectacular. Our food (scallops, swordfish) was very good and beautifully presented. Our server was pleasant but somewhat erratic. At first he hovered but then he disappeared. When our entrees were delivered, we wanted to order a second glass of wine but he was nowhere to be found. I asked another server to send him our way but he didn’t show up again until we’d polished off the dinner.

Tried it out last night - flexible host who sat us earlier than our reservation time so started out well. But our server must have been distracted by the large (and loud) big table next to us so forgot to put our appetizer order. We waited 45 minutes patiently before asking about and then she acknowledged a "miscommunication" (read: she forgot?) and nonchalantly brushed it off w/ a promise of a dessert. Her nonchalantless and maybe attempt to minimize it was her big mistake. Thank goodness for the manager Maria who was the model of customer service and showed the necessary empathy and action. She also made a good management decision to remove that server off our table and replace her w/ a different, more attentive server. Food itself was excellent (once it showed up as couple next to us literally finished their meal before we got our appetizer). West coast oysters, beef carpaccio, sea bass, and the seafood stew was all excellent. Maria's actions brought the service score up to a 3 after it was a solid 1 (out of 5) until she remedied. Thank you.

Setting is truly lovely. We booked and ordered off the restaurant week menu which offered set options. My feeling is that there was a distinct gear change when you didn't order off the main menu. We were given one round of drinks, food arrived very slowly table was cleared eventually. After sitting for an absolute age we declined the sweet and left. Upsetting and stressful experience.

The Wife and I were very hungry and booked an early dinner reservation. The restaurant was rather new when we booked (Resy). We don’t usually visit the south street seaport area so trying the new Jean Georges spot was a perfect excuse. Since this was in September... we were able to sit outside. The views of Brooklyn, the east river and statue were great. I ordered the pink shrimp with mushroom risotto. It was one of the better risottos I’ve had. The shallot jam in that dish is just crave worthy. My Wife ordered a fish (can’t recall) cooked simply with olive oil and sea salt. She thoroughly enjoyed it! It’s nice that Jean Georges really prides this restaurant on straightforward cooking. Simple is challenging, because mistakes can’t be hidden and your ingredients have to be fresh and prepared correctly. We also had french fries and champagne :) We had a great experience. Some things to note: 1. The outdoor seating has small dim lit lamps 2. The neighboring outdoor seating area is loud 3. Service staff were a bit clumsy 4. The interior seemed dark and not exciting The positives heavily outweigh any negatives. I would enjoy eating there anytime based on our first experience. Ready to go back soon!

nice restaurant to dine at pier 17; view of the Hudson and bridge; once you are done you can take a nice walk ; food and service is good; great for solo dining and friends

We were lucky to be sighted at the bar as Jordan the bartender made the best Cosmopolitan in NYC Gonzalo the other bartender also gave us a fabulous service. Food was great and the view phenomenal

Took our family for dinner and everything was superb. The service, food & beverages were excellent. We were 8 people and tried many of the menu items. All fresh and tasty Seafood platter, Cerviche, sashimi, Kale salad, burger, fish and chips, Sea Bass & Lobster noodles all were amazing.

Had to hunt a little to find this restaurant but very glad I did. Popped into lunch without a reservation and the team seated me quickly on the patio with an amazing view of the Brooklyn Bridge. Only the regular traffic/tourist/police helicopters flying over the area ruined the serenity of the seating. Ordered a Crispy Calamari Herb Salad to start that was a great mix of softness and crispiness coupled with a lovely heat from the spice added. The herb salad coupling beautifully with the Calamari. Next up were the Fish Tacos with the Siracha sauce... very decent sized fried fish goujons in a soft taco wrap. Very light with a nice crunch from the added slaw. I wouldn't say delicious but nice enough (if a smite greasy). Closing the meal was an excellent mango sorbet and a very good coffee. Service was excellent, with an attentive waitress who didn't hover and was very helpful with menu selection showing a good knowledge of the items available. Final verdict: Wonderful higher end riverside restaurant if you're in the area but the helicopters would put me off trekking here just for a lunch or dinner

Online, you can not reserve for more than 4 people. You cannot reach someone on the phone either. We are a family of 5 with a young kid. When we arrived at 5, having made a reservation for 4, we were told to wait for 20 mn to prepare our table.... 20 mn later.... we were told that unfortunately they have no table for us....our table for 4 was assigned to others and nobody took the initiative to just add a chair at the table.... just ridiculous!!! For these poor consumer experience we had 3 hostesses plus a manager to handle our case....even more ridiculous. We will never try again.

WE had a family trip to this lovely restaurant in late-December. The location is great, next to the Brooklyn Bridge, whilst service and food are both excellent. The staff were extremely attentive and efficient. A thoroughly enjoyable experience

We went there to celebrate a special birthday. It couldn't have been better -- the setting is glorious: we sat outside and enjoyed the view of the Brooklyn and Williamsburg bridges, and watched the solstice moonrise along with wonderful food and service. Highly recommended for a special occasion.

On a frigid winter Sunday we stopped in to warm up with a cocktail and dessert. We were between meals so it was quiet, but it gave us time to chat with the bartender, an very friendly and charming woman who was knowledgeable about the area, various unique cocktails, and the chain of Jean-Georges restaurants. We loved her and she made our afternoon. We will definitely be back to sit upstairs overlooking the river and Brooklyn, at night, in the summer! PS They have a raw oyster bar upstairs.

Beautiful view and food was delicious. The service was great and loved that they leave a bottle of water on the table and refill as necessary. I tried a cucumber cocktail but it tasted like a tart margarita. I told the server I thought it was the margarita and not the cucumber cocktail. I was fine with drinking it but wanted to still try the cucumber one. However, the server insisted that’s what it was.

We ate here 2 years ago and had an enchanting meal, so we returned last month. How they have fallen. While we have to be reasonable during the pandemic, this did not approach acceptable by even the lowest of standards. 1 hour to get our entrees, one of which was cold and soggy, tiny portions, not so great food, 3/4 glass of wine which cost $25, and the worst service. Courses served out of order, and the appearance of anarchy in the kitchen which was visible from the patio. $240 for a terrible lunch. Shame on you Jean-Georges. I felt that I was treated with contempt by an organization that feels it can cut corners and rest on its reputation. I would discourage anyone who might be considering this restaurant.

Let me start by saying this was the worst dining experience of my life. That's quite a statement but true. We attended the Fulton's "exclusive" July 4th event. We attended via Chase and tickets to get in for this event were $350 per person via Chase and the Fulton were also selling tickets for close to $500 per person. That was supposed to get you a private cocktail style dinner reception; including all-inclusive food and beverages. We were very much looking forward to attending and as we walked in Jean-Georges was on the floor working with his staff. We thought ok, this is a big deal if he is onsite we are off to a good start. The first sign of trouble was we were supposed to be seated in a terrace area and the wait staff would serve us out there with food and drinks. Problem was that there were only 12 chairs and 20 of us. After 15 minutes no one came to serve us anything. Most of us moved inside which we were told we could do. Once inside we luckily found a seat inside and figured this is going to be great. More and more guests packed in upstairs, some didn't have seats (for a 3 hour dinner reception). Servers were coming up the stairs and going to one certain table (friends or relatives of Jean-Georges) first and would be wiped out. They then would come back with more food and try and distribute the hor d'oeuvres but the trays were small and they just couldn't get the food out fast enough for the amount of people at the venue. The servers were literally running back and forth but the kitchen and the amount of staff couldn't keep up with the amount of guests that they booked. So after about an hour of this many of the patrons were just waiting for the servers to come up the stairs or out of the kitchen line downstairs and pounced on them before they could circulate around the restaurant. We and many other guests were not getting any food. There were buffet stations setup for sushi and raw seafood but again people were really upset and hungry so this led to lots of pushy people trying to jockey for any food then can get. Saw Jean-Georges a couple of times and he looked stressed and was trying but the night was unfortunately ruined for many of the patrons who were upset by the lack of food. Other issues, at one point they ran out of champagne because it was warm and they had to ice it down. The other complete disaster was the bathroom situation. They have 4 unisex rest rooms for the entire restaurant. Since they over booked this event, there literally was a 25 minute wait of 30+ people. People were trying to cut, use excuses to get in as the fireworks kick off was rapidly approaching. The wait staff really tried their best and some were really hustling. However, some seemed to be novices, many didn't have napkins or offer any when serving. Empty plates sat on tables for long periods of time, we couldn't get water at the bar and only once did someone bring us some with no refills ever being offered. A lot of the food was mediocre. The lobster noodles were ok, the only thing that was really good was the caviar on the egg yoke, that was incredible. Dessert can't comment on, I saw some but couldn't get any. As we were leaving another patron was complaining to an employee and summed up the night as "a total disaster". That it was! On a positive note the view was spectacular and the dining space and ambiance inside is really open and modern. I truly hope the Fulton makes it. I also hope the management team learns a valuable lesson from this night as they severely overbooked and did an extremely poor job of delivering for many of the patrons who attended and were hoping for a quality experience. Going out to dinner shouldn't be stressful and have customers figuring out how to get food or literally have to camp out at the top of stairs to get servers attention. We expected a lot more from a Jean-Georges restaurant and this night/event was completely unacceptable.

As a born and raised New Yorker, I've seen the changes that Pier 17 has gone through. From the 3am fish deliveries that used to be the Fulton fish market, to the rattlesnake pasta at the Pizzeria Uno; I've had a lot of memories at the South Street Seaport. When Sandy took the area out (yes, I was there), I didn't think they would ever recover. But here we are. With a completely different concept. No longer a mall but an open space with great restaurants and entertainment. The Fulton is a huge space. There was a Shania Twain concert on the roof the night we went and the sound proofing is so good that we didn't hear a thing from within the restaurant. In terms of the food, my stand out dishes were the trout and oyster tartare, the tagliatelle, and the longevity noodles. The staff is very friendly and the inside is beautifully painted. If you're lucky enough to get a window seat, it also makes for great people watching. I had a lot of fun and would be back again.

We had a lovely dinner at the Fulton. All of the seafood was so fresh and absolutely delicious and being looked after by Hemingway was a delight: his detailed knowledge of the dishes was valuable and most welcome.

I booked The Fulton for my birthday dinner. Having dined at Jean Georges in the past, I was looking forward to some excellent food, service, wine, and the bonus of a beautiful view. I was blessed that day. The Fulton is located in the newly minted Pier 17 which itself is worth exploring. The restaurant is huge, with beautiful outdoor and indoor spaces spread out over two levels. The decor is sleek and sophisticated yet relaxed enough for the location. I am usually a bit apprehensive about dining at restaurants with a view since that is all you pay for in most cases. Not here! Service: 4 stars I saw some complaints about service from my fellow Yelpers. We were nicely served by the staff. I came with an open mind, expecting good service but not at the level of Jean Georges on Central Park. Food: 5 stars Bread is amazing along with their butter and olive oil Appetizers: Sashimi with Spicy White Ponzu, Yellowfin Tuna, Kampachi, Ocean Trout, Fluke, Wasabi- beautiful presentation, fresh and delicious Oysters- East and West Coasts- very fresh Entrees: Black Sea Bass, Lemon-Tumeric Emulsion, Slowly Roasted Carrots & Tarragon-fish was perfectly cooked, the emulsion was excellent, including the carrots King Crab and Spring Pea Risotto Dill & Lemon Zest- not one grain left! Dessert: Peach upside-down cake with blueberries and ice cream-very good Needless to say, we had a really nice dining experience at The Fulton. It is worth a trip and certainly one we will do again.

Breathtaking views paired with delectable dishes made our visit memorable. Even with a large group, every dish hit the mark. Worth the visit for the vistas alone, and the prices were reasonable!

The place is well furnished and the view is truly breathtaking. Everything else is not noteworthy. I was there for dinner with a friend in March, the place wasn't full but they put us at a table where one of the two had her back to the view, which is one of the reasons why we chose this restaurant. We asked if it was possible to change tables, but we were denied. We ordered a bottle of champagne and they served it hot. Refrigerated only upon our request. We ordered two tasting menus. Only "to share" dishes arrived. The first was a raw platter, with three pieces of everything. We asked why there were three pieces for two and we were told "we always serve it like this". We pointed out that we had taken two tasting menus, not one to share. The answer hasn't changed. “If you always serve it like this for two people, does that mean that if I take the plateau alone you will serve me a piece and a half?” Question that remained unanswered… Followed by a plate of rocket with grated pecorino and a kind of chopped cucumber. Not understanding exactly what it was, we asked the waitress, who could only tell us the name in English, without being able to give us any further explanation. Checking on the Internet we discovered it was a sort of cucumber... it wasn't that difficult to explain, we just had to try... presentation of the dish, embarrassing!!! Followed by octopus with mozzarella all floating in a lake of oil... senseless dish... Followed by noodels with lobster. Absolutely tasteless noodles, cooked alone without any seasoning to which pieces of lobster with all the carapace have been added... all accompanied by a plate of mushrooms... unsatisfying. The only dish not to be shared, the dessert... an embarrassing and very sad cookie... without a minimum of decoration... a biscuit thrown on a saucer... what can I say... At the end of this embarrassing dinner we were given the bill before it was requested (and we weren't the last...). 5 stars for the view 0 stars for food and service

Seafood appetizers were very good, entrees varied yet generally in line with Chef Jean Georges gourmet level. Enjoying a meal could depend on where you sit .Squeezed inside or upstairs in the back may not be as worthwile as a water-view table outside or on an upper floor window. Required reservations by phone on week-ends seem almost impossible; a personal approach to the receptionist is politely averted. Waiting at the scenic terrace may help ,though not on Fridays/Saturdays

I spent 4th of July here what a great place to be for it. Fireworks from the bridge and the ships just magical. Let’s start with beautiful views of the water overlooking queens. Love the interior super romantic and cozy, reminds me of old New York. It was a buffet style menu with a fabulous selection of see food. Ton of oysters, lobsters, crab, shrimp. Their signature drinks are so well made, definitely recommending starting with a cocktail. Chef was there to great his guest just a fabulous experience.

This Cavernous restaurant has obviously born the brunt of a difficult pandemic. The whole pier is very quiet. Despite this the restaurant is subtly lit and has some atmosphere and the views of Brooklyn are great. The service is attentive and polite if a little too obsequious . The food was just ok. Opting for the burger which was very under seasoned so quite bland with some completely tasteless cheese on top. The much lauded ‘jus’ was a weird addition but at least it added flavour but again was nothing to write home about. I’ve had so many better burgers elsewhere. The wine list is way over priced - but the obvious place where restaurants make profit. Would I return. No.

We had a magical evening-- the view, the food, the drinks, and the atmosphere were perfect. And the service we received only served to punctuate a fantastic experience. Extra kudos to Pedro for his excellent recommendations on food, wine, and exceptional care to ensure we had a night we would not forget. We will be sure to come back soon and tell others to do the same.

It was a deluge outside and we were concerned about how it would be to eat outside (our preference for view and not being too cold), so much so that we almost canceled. However, the restaurant staff (and manager) couldn't have been more solicitous, checking on us at frequent intervals to make sure the rain wasn't reaching us. The swordfish Milanese, as usual, was killer (even juicier than I remember), the plain grilled swordfish and salad were quite good, even finishing the next day. Really, one of the most memorable parts was how kind and thoughtful the staff were. We'll be back.

We arrived an hour early for our reservation and the hostess Crystal was wonderful. She got us a table outside with a view. Our server Tim was on top of his game and had suggested the Warm Octopus and Fresh Mozzarella (Lemon Zest, Sea Salt and Black Pepper). We also tried the Longevity Noodles (Glazed Maine Lobster, Pea Shoots, Green Chili and Ginger). Food was excellent. Service was outstanding, and the overall experience was fantastic.

We went from a trip via NYC Ferry to Wall Street. Looked up this new location, as I have really enjoy really the Columbus Circle location. We arrived early …without a reservation but no issues in getting a seat. Service was excellent, attentive but also not rushed. Food .. lobster roll, tomato and peach salad and fish tacos highly recommended. Will most certainly return and try for dinner.

I went to the Fulton with my wife last week, having previously tried (and liked) his flagship restaurant at Columbus Circle. The location of the Fulton is outstanding and I liked the interior décor. Everything else fell way short of our expectations. For our entrées my wife chose the sea bass and I chose the Faroe Islands salmon (which for some reason was served in a deep dish which made it more difficult to eat). Both dishes were spoilt by the elaborate sauces used to douse the flavour and spoil the texture of the fish itself. The service was also very poor. There is no way I shall return.

Me and my couple went there for a dining. We have ordered the octopus as appetiser to share, it was ok but the mozzarella as side was of really bad quality, we are from Italy and we recognise good mozzarella from bad one. After the appetiser we have both ordered a first course of pasta, personally with clams and my couple another type. It was the worst pasta we ever eaten so far… Ingredients were completely putted without any kind of reason… We left the two dishes practically untouched… The dine was to celebrate a special occasion and thus they served us a classical no-taste dessert… We paid 53$ each and I left only 5 dollars as tip because of the very low quality of the food. Surprise! They have 3 days later added to both bills a total of 20$ of tip… The only good thing they have is the view, NO MORE! If you are looking for a place to dine get far away from there… By contrast if you want only a place where you can post an instagram story for you follower that’s your place!

I have no idea what restaurant some of these other reviewers dined in. The service at The Fulton was outstanding. George, The Maitre D' was helpful and delightful, finding us the perfect table with grace and charm. The food couldn't have been more delicious. The views from the now fully refurbished Pier are some of the best in the city. This place is not for folks who think the best fish comes in a can labeled Starkist. It's for folks who appreciate fine service and creative cuisine.
Disappointing
Nothing about our experience was reminiscent of a Jean-Georges restaurant. Average, uninteresting dishes. Overpriced for mediocrity. Our server was great, but overall service was slow. Space was so dark that we couldn’t read the menu or see the food (including the 14-year-old at the table). Highly disappointed. What has happened to the J-G standard of excellence? Cannot recommend.
