Ordered a chicken sandwich and it didn't taste well. I don't know if that was the quality of chicken everywhere in the US or just here. Either the chicken was yesterday's warmed up leftovers or the chicken was going bad. Didn't taste good. The lights were was a bit dim so I couldn't tell if it was pink or not but I didn't dare to finish it. New York is expensive but I think I payed like 25 dollars for a rubbish sandwich. Nothing to complain about regarding the service, though.

We celebrated one of my co-workers birthday by taking him to lunch. There were 5 of us and though the place was not crowded it a long time for someone to take our orders - about 25 mins and another 30 mins for the food to be served. By this time we only had about 5 minutes left to eat đ. We basically tasted the food, got containers to pack it up and left. It took way longer than expected especially since we were seated immediately. The restaurant is located on the lower level with dim lighting and televisions against the wall for your entertainment. The food is tasty, I ordered the baby crab cakes over a Cesar salad from the appetizer menu and that was about $17 - for me it more than enough. I would recommend and return but I would order to go.

WE were wanting to watch our son's college soccer match on a Sunday and the bartenders watched it with us and cheered. It was GREAT and the food and beer at exactly what you want at an Irish pub

Large basement bar with friendly and funny owners â on the wall in big letters âWe are Liverpool.â When I asked âwhy Liverpool instead of Irelandâ I didnât get a very clear answer â but hey ho â I think the Irish just love Liverpool. Lots of beers to choose from, and a large food menu. Great pub.

Situated in close proximity to the 911 Memorial. We were greeted by friendly staff from beginning to end of our late lunch. They offered a great selection of Irish beers and we started with an appetizer of fried mushrooms in garlic mayo sauce that was incredible. I had the beet and mango salad with chicken and my husband had a burger. Both were tasty and delivered with a smile. We will definitely return!

This was a place a block from our lodging for the weekend. We passed by after a long day of shopping and stopped in for a quick drink, after a couple of drinks we decided to eat, and Iâm so glad we did. The food is GREAT. French Onion Soup â Patty Melt â Truffe Fries â and perhaps the most delicious homemade Chicken Pot pie Iâve tasted â ....it was so festive & fun. They had karaoke & it was fun to sit back and watch locals unwind. The staff was friendly & so were the clientele. We enjoyed this place so much, we did it again on our last night....a must if in Manhattan....

Nice place but it is below street level and you have to walk downstairs There are a few differnt rooms with plenty of bar space and a game room They have plenty of TV's and seem to cater to the European football crowd My favorite is the Jameson wings

Many thanks Maura And your lovely bar man From Stephen and Bernie great afternoon of drink banter and crack watching Kerry beat Mayo in your lovely pub. With Best wishes and thanks a great pub for any occasion looking forward To a future visit will recommend to all friends who visit New York

We recently visited this bar after a shopping trip. Tim was an amazing host and made us feel so welcome. He poured some lovely drinks and couldnât be more friendly. He suggested we visit the top of the standard hotel, we did! We had the most amazing night. We partied with celebrities and had the best night ever. Can you please pass on our gratitude for leading us to the most amazing night in NYC! He is a credit to any bar and worth a visit in himself. Many thanks, Sarah and the girls from Somerset xxx

We found this purely by accident and what a great find. Warm and friendly welcome Exceptional service good local beer The food was amazing, we only wanted a light lunch, something of a contradiction here, having looked around we realized the lunches would be too much for us, so opted for two starters. These were more than adequate for us and absolutely delicious.

L'hamburger se tenait encore mais le cheescake cramé, plutÎt moyen. A l'image du service et de la.biere chaude. Passez votre chemin. Hamburger was OK but the warm beer and overcooked cheescake, not really appreciate. Service very poor. I do not recommend this establishment.

Stopped in for lunch. Stumbled on this pub just strolling downtown looking for a place to have lunch. The place is downstairs and it looks like a little place until you descend the stairs and it is a huge place. It was a gem. Nice menu and brunch is served Saturday and Sundays. Food was very good and service excellent. They had a very extensive beer selection as well as traditional and no so traditional Irish foods. I had a Chicken Panini and the Crispness of the Bread was amazing.

The Irish American Pub in New York's Financial District attempts to emulate the ambiance of an Irish pub with its decor and menu. The surroundings are larger than most pubs in Ireland and the decorations are similar. The menu has Irish staples like Shepherd's Pie but their execution is closer to American style. The beer and ale selection is good with a number on draft. Prices are New York City comparable which means higher than elsewhere.

Was waiting for a reservation for the Observatory at world trade centre so had a wander round and stumbled upon this place for lunch. Only had a steak but it was tasty and chips were nice although the vegetable\salad combo with it, although edible was a bit odd - never had broccoli and salad mixed together! Service was good and quick, and loved the fact they played Pink Floyd and Dire Straits in background!

Where are all the NY Irish peeps, not in this Irish bar. Not to happy with the food, service was speddy to get food. Just looking for a fun irish bar. Noticed that the Asian Indians have taken over NY & this pub.

We stumbled across this delightful bar between crossing the Brooklyn Bridge (from Brooklyn side) and heafing towards wall St. (It's actually on John St.). Our food was delicious, the choice af drinks as good as most NYC bars and the service very good too....If I'm ever back in New York I will definately return here.

We literally were walking on John st heading to the trade center memorial, and stumbled upon. It kind of looks like a hole in the wall place, but once you enter the place is huge, with multiple dining areas, a private room, bar, pool room etc. the meals were decently priced and DELICIOUS! The lamb is out of this world! Itâs defiantly worth finding!

Ate here a couple of times in May - itâs a buzzing bar, busy every night but you can sit at the bar or grab a table. Theyâve got a good food menu and I tried the Sausage & Mash and the Buffalo Mac & Cheese on the other night. American-size portions which dwarf the UK and both hit the spot. Recommend this place if youâre looking for some decent pub grub and quick service.

We came across this great pub near the World Trade Centre. What was really great was the atmosphere and the music - both really good. We had very attentive service and that our glasses were never empty. We ordered food, which was tasty. Large portions. We ordered starters and main courses and did not need the starters. The side of onion rings was huge. Great place for fun drinks and food.

Husband and I hanging out waiting for for friends shopping and found this great bar. Sign was what helped us decide. "Irish American Pub". 2 bars, great bartenders. Nicki in the boot room, was awesome!! she spoke to everyone. They are lucky to have her. Karaoke on a Wednesday, patrons were great. Just outside Wall Street area, Fulton Subway right near!! Try try try

One of our favorite past times in any city we visit is to check out their Irish Pubs; and the Irish American Pub is a fun below street bar with a cool staff and very good food. Plus itâs within a block of Century 21 shopping, so I got to hangout for hours while my wife shopped in what felt like a private family pubđ€©đ€©đ€©

Great menu with variety of pub fare. Nice draft beverages list including cherry cider. Good burgers. Great music selection for background...early rock, soul, blues. Only negative would be must go down stairs. No handicap access that I noticed.

Visited the Pub twice during a recent visit to New York in May 2019. Initial visit was for a few beers post a transatlantic flight and to do some "recon" for a good location for an "Irish Night" later in the week. Bar staff friendly and had to decline a free pint since I was rushing to meet some colleagues. Returned later in the week with a group of 8. Food did not disappoint and with the aid of a very efficient Mexican Waiter....we enjoyed the night and Pub. Across the board good menu which is in keeping with the Bar Food theme. Would recommend.

Good sarnies from here. Try the beef with onions and jus, very tasty with a cold beer! A good kids menu also. It looks nothing from outside, blink and you miss it. There will most likely be someone stood outside who will take you down lots of stairs and you think "where on earth are they taking me?" They they open the door and you're in a traditional pub...underground đ

We ate here on our first evening of this trip. We were staying in the Conrad and this is so easy to access now, indoors through the Westfield Centre. The place was fairly quiet, but still had a good atmosphere. We only had a couple of appetisers, but I have to say the nachos were very good!

Had breakfast here on our holiday and loved every minute. The staff (bar manager especially) weâre amazing! Loved the Boot Room (just really sad I couldnât watch the Man City game as I was at PINK concert) I bet the atmosphere was electric!! Food was awesome, as were the breakfast Bloody Marys!!! đđđđ€Șđ€Șđ€ȘHIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

My wife and I were walking through lower Manhattan on Sunday morning and took a quick right on John Street when we saw a sign for what we thought was the old Le Halles of Anthony Bourdain fame. We saw the sign next door for brunch and decided to swing in. Headed down 1.5 half levels to what turned out to be a fantastic looking tavern - beautiful dark wood, cool lighting, an immaculate bar and most importantly an awesome bartender. Unfortunately I wasn't smart enough to get his name, although I believe it might be Tim. Irish coffee for my wife and a bloody mary and Carlsberg for me. Outstanding bloody mary with some cocktail sauce mixed in. My wife also had the crab benedict and really enjoyed it. I passed on Irish breakfast as I was more interested in morning cocktails. After a few drinks the barman bought, which is unheard of where we live in Northern Virginia - reminded me of the taverns I grew up around in Wisconsin. He also gave me a taste of several local products. Britain v. France Rugby was on tv - no idea how what the rules were, but highly entertaining. There also was a huge dining area and a game room towards the head. I'd imagine the place really gets rocking and rolling at night. Overall great ambience, fantastic service and good food and drink. We'll be back on our next trip to the big city.

We visited the Boot Room a couple of hours after arriving in New York to watch the LFC v EFC derby game. The owner, manager and staff made us very welcome, just like the local back in Liverpool, it felt as if we had known them for years. The crowd created an unbelievable atmosphere and the 4-0 annihilation of the blues made it even more enjoyable. Add a few beers, a few shots and a Caesar Salad, what more could you ask for? I would definitely recommend a visit if you are ever in New York City.

We chanced upon this place for lunch in between visits to the WTC Observatory and the WTC Museum. Everyone was very welcoming and hospitable. The food was good, particularly the French Dip sandwich. They have a great list of local beers and will be glad to bring you a taste before you make your final selection. Ordering a pitcher of beer for the table was a real bargain.

It was fairly quiet and not crowded for a Saturday late lunch. My husband thought the bangers and mash were great, but maybe a little too much onion. I had the shepherd's pie; it was different than any other shepherd's pie I have ever had...but it was really delicious! Service was fairly good and the prices weren't too bad.

Early Sunday morning kick off for Liverpool whilst on holiday no better place to go than here. For an Irish breakfast and beers great service and $3 coors watching the game

Great service from the door, out the door. My dad and I got more traditional Irish fare Bangers and Mash and some Irish Chicken. My brother and cousin got the steak and they wasn't to impressed. But they also ordered wings (which are some of the best we'd ever ate) and we're big wing guys and fried pickles and they're good. Definitely would go back.

Popped in while walking past, glad we did, lovely big Irish/American bar next to the world trade centre and century 21. If your down this way nip in for a beer and lunch you'll not be disappointed.

Recommended by the hotel staff, we made our way to this restaurant at the end of a long air travel day. Food was great, and the beer was better. The fresh fish and chips was local market sourced and tasty, and the Irish Mist Chicken was very good. Would have gone again 2nd night but had to try another restaurant.

Had some great great times in this bar, located in the back streets of Manhattan this bar was all I hoped it would be,tremendous service very welcoming with ridiculous measures of alcohol and even bigger food portions!!!! And if your a Liverpool football fan then this is for you as the back bar is a Liverpool shrine!!!I would fully recommend this for an evening out ...

Loved this place, great food cold beer and pleasent staff. Would highly reccommend for sure! Went as a family and was made feel very welcome.

The menu is just what one sees over in the UK at any good pub. All the favorites are there, but the quality is high and the portions are large. Prices are very reasonable, especially for NYC. 24 good beers on tap. Lots of hangouts for large groups.

So glad we found this place (for those non-city types - don't let that it's down a stair case scare you away) the place is huge but still has a great atmosphere. We enjoyed a full Irish/American breakfast (at 2pm....they service this till 4pm) and the food was excellent (as was the Guinness).

Went on recommendation of hotel staff. Irish sports pub in basement setting. Great lunch special with well priced local craft draft beers. Had potato leek soup, fried mushrooms and beer. All good. Typical pub food. Lots of TVs for watching sports.

This place is well in the top 10 sports bars in New York. Visited it twice during our stay, it has a dedicated bar area for Liverpool fans called the Bootroom. The staff made us very welcome and we're very friendly. Plenty of food and beer to choose from. Can get busy bits well big enough with the 2 bars, games area with plenty of screens to watch the sport. I would most definitely recommend a visit to watch a match or even just soak up the atmosphere. Great find.

After a soggy walk, we stumbled across this gem. Very welcome, fish n chips delicious and Guinness great! If you like pool thereâs loads here too.

We only came here for drinks and snacks by chance but it was such a great experience for 4 British friends. The staff were very friendly and energetic. Yes it is busy and loud but we loved the atmosphere!! They have a long bar that you can drink at or a large seating area which is where we sat. Portion sizes are big so we really felt like we got our moneys worth. Thanks for a great visit - we only regret not coming back for dinner!!!

Good spot to go eat and you're in the area. Good location. Good service. nice vibe. I wasn't disappointed.

Stopped in at this place during our day in New York City. Food was great and very large portions. Price was reasonable for NYC and definitely reasonable for the amount of food given. Lots of things for kids to amuse themselves (pool table, ping pong table, arcade games). Highly recommend!

Visited for dinner great menu so much so struggled to know what to have decided on the chilli tacos and was not dissapointed, huge portion and tasted Devine came with salsa, sour cream and guacamole. I couldn't finish it all. My friend can only eat small portions and it certainly was not a problem they just gave her half a portion of chicken which was in a whiskey and cream sauce it's was delicious (think it was an Irish mist sauce). Didn't have room for dessert unfortunately but really enjoyed our few drinks and dinner. Service was brilliant although it is rather dark as its down stairs so obviously in a basement. Highly recommend u try this place.

If you just want chicken wings and a drink then you might be alright But this place isn't somewhere you want to have a meal Pasta Terrible in fact my daughter couldn't eat, I tried it tasted awful Burger taste it been fryer and greasy To fair when I complain, they took money off the bill straight away. Are waiter was also rubbish just going through the motions of serving, in sure because they're always a tip added to the bill that he didn't care. If you want to watch football eat chicken wings get drunk then go.

We were staying at a nearby hotel and found this place by chance. What a good find it was too! We arrived and were shown straight to a table, staff were very friendly and the place had a lovely atmosphere. We had a couple of drinks then ordered food, my husband had a burger and chips which he really enjoyed. Although he was a little jealous of my chicken pot pie and I couldn't blame him, it was one of the best things I've ever eaten, full of flavour and a generous size too, absolutely beautiful. The next night we ate somewhere else as we were further away, we bitterly regretted it. Lovely place, great staff and food out of this world!

We found this by mistake while looking for somewhere to have lunch out of the rain. It's just a small doorway at street level but opens up to a large venue downstairs. We were quickly seated and served, they had a good range of drinks and a mix of traditional Irish breakfast but also American favourites such as pancakes and waffles. Food was reasonably priced, service was good. Not quite a 5 due to the sticky floor and slight grubby toilets.

It was so good, we went back a second time! If you do go there look out for the House Specialities, they are worth the effort. The staff are courteous and helpful. For a New York restaurant they really do offer "bang for your buck". The setting is typical Irish and it feels authentic. The actual restaurant is quite large - don't be deceived by the small entrance on the outside. It's almost like diving into the rabbit hole with Dorothy!!

After seeing the 9/11 memorial. I needed a beer etc .found this down a side street. Perfect had some sliders and magners on draught. Even played some pool with my mate. Perfect.

We were staying at Club Quarters Hotel Wall Street and this place were our favorite pub. Excellent burgers and great variety of beer.

I wound this place which is near Century 21 where my wife and daughters were shopping. I stayed here while they shopped. Great staff and lots of beer choices on tap. I wish I could go there more but I can't afford for my family to shop that much!

We visited upon our arrival to NYC because it was pouring and within steps of our hotel. The basement area has a friendly vibe to it. There are lots of televisions showing local sports, lots of people, and the menu has lots of options. The food was average, the bill above average, and the staff friendly but not overly attentive. I'd recommend stopping here for an app and a few drinks.

Found this bar after walking around lower manhattan. Excellent friendly welcome and the drinks and food were really good.We were a group of 12 and all food came out at the same time, as ordered and the staff were very friendly. Great sports bar too with lots of activities like table tennis, pool, darts etc. Prices were very reasonable and all 12 had a great time. Would recommend and we look forward to going again.

Came across this bar whilst looking for an afternoon drink in NYC, what a cracking bar great selection of drinks and at great prices, food also fantastic and again at great prices This is the place to watch all sport and if your a Liverpool supporter this place will blow you away, the recreation of the boot room that is open on Match days well i have never seen anything like this awsome

Itâs a nice pub with great food and really friendly and helpful staff. We will definitely return if we ever come to New York again. The entrance didnât say much of this place but after we went down the stairs a whole new world opened with a lot of local people having their lunch time or afternoon break. We loved this original Pub atmosphere.

We went here for a business casual dinner. They accepted a reservation. Appetizers were great. We had potato skins, wings, nachos and a mac and cheese bite. All were excellent. For meals we had a variety of sliders, salads, beef, chicken, etc and everyone said their food was excellent. The staff was very attentive and the atmosphere was great. Prices were very reasonable. Would definitely go again.

Run of the mill bar near 9/11 Memorial. Nothing exceptional (or bad!) about this bar. Only had a quick drink. It was busy with office workers and therefore very loud. Lots of TV screens showing sports, 25 I think!

The beer was cold, service fair and food was great!! We had been walking all day and was looking for a place to have late lunch when we found this place. The décor was great and we liked all of our entree's, so it was a very good dining experience for us to just walk off the street into this restaurant. Highly Recommend

We stopped for a couple of drinks after visiting the One World Observatory. Close to Century 21 so the shoppers can shop whilst you can enjoy a decent pint.

This restaurant/pub is in a basement in lower Manhattan, so you cannot see it from the street. The bar area is quite nice and it is very large with many tables and booths. There are numerous TVs for all sporting events. Sunday is brunch and it is very good; you can get a traditional Irish breakfast or corned beef hash and eggs or other egg dishes. I had the corned beef hash and it was excellent; brunch also comes with a bloody mary or a mimosa. Can't beat that! Other lunch items and appetizers are good and it is place where you can spend some time watching sports. It has a good following on weekends and I understand it is quite packed after work.

I held my wife's birthday here in the game room and we had a blast. Maura and her crew were awesome and had great service. Food was great especially the sliders and wings. Would recommend for any event.

We popped in here to avoid the -15 temperatures. We would have settled for anything but what we got was a real treat. Service was great, chicken wings were amazeballs, and the burger well cooked. Only downside were the bathrooms could do with an upgrade.

Just a block and a half walk from the WTC Oculus, the Irish American Pub is an almost-hidden door to a flight of stairs leading to a large bar and restaurant. The menu includes typical bar fare but at prices that feel too low for lower Manhattan. The wings were huge with lots of meat and flavor. They were not drenched in sauce like most wing places. We also had a few sandwiches which were generous portions and cooked perfectly. I moved away from NYC years ago and only get the chance to visit once or twice a year now, but in a city with 20,000 restaurants the Irish American Pub is definitely on my list to eat again.

Whenever I'm in NYC I always feel like The Irish American Pub is my local. The staff are fantastic, the range of beers is superb. I've not eaten there, but friends who have seem to have always enjoyed their meals. Plenty of TV screens showing a wide variety of sports. The bar is pretty busy with local workers until about 7pm, but after that you are spoiled with the amount of seating available. If I had to nitpick, I would say the only downside is the Liverpool decor... I'm an Arsenal supporter ;)

We were here on a Sunday. Our friends were in the 9-11 museum, which we have already seen, so we walked up here for some brunch. When we came in the place was empty save for a handful of guys at the bar watching soccer. That gave us pause, because an empty restaurant is not a good sign. I think, however, that it was empty because it is in the financial district, and all of those guys were off on Sunday. Anyway, the food we had was quite good. My wife had the breakfast waffle, which was large, and, with bacon and potatoes, made an abundant meal. I had shepherd's pie, which was a little heavy on the mashed potatoes but was quite tasty. We would certainly go again.

This was just a typical average pub. Nothing too exciting about it. Drinks were priced okay. I had a burger and it was cooked to perfection. Also, the price overall was okay. Only downside is that our server was not very attentive. If you have nowhere else to grab dinner and want typical bar food, this is an okay option.

Service was exceptional. Greeted at the door, walked to a table and asked if it was ok, and server was right behind with water and to take first order. Calamari was best tasting in a long time. Fish and chips were great. Fresh fish and hot fries. The Pastrami was a 9 of 10. Great tasting. The only negative was having Smithwickâs served in a Coors glass. Irish Beer in an Irish Pub needs their own glass.

Our first visit to New York and we booked in to the Residence Inn Marriott downtown Manhattan WTC area - not far from the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. As I usually do I had a stroll around the local area to get familiar. I found the local subway station - Fulton Street and just down the road I saw a sign for The Irish American Pub. I will admit, at first glance, it didn't look like much but I mentioned it to my wife and we agreed to pay a visit as the weather was poor and we wanted to stay local to the hotel. All I can say is what a great decision! Once downstairs the place opens out in to two large bars and a restaurant area. Nowhere in New York is cheap and many places where downright expensive but this place offered superb value for both the food and drink on offer. The staff were all really helpful and friendly from the giant bouncer on the door on Friday night (final office party night before Christmas) to the manager, Tim. Tim is English and a Liverpool FC supporter which explains why his bar is decked out in Liverpool FC colours and all the English Premiership matches are on the television. Tim a personal thanks from myself and my family for the excellent way you and your team looked after us on the several visits we made to your wonderful pub. I have been to a lot of pubs and bars around the world but have rarely, if ever, been made to feel so welcome and at home. Thanks again and good luck Liverpool for the Premiership this season.

Found this place by accident. We were tired from walking all day and wanted to sit down and enjoy a drink and have an appetizer or two. This was the perfect place!!!!! And it's huge. Didn't even realize how many games they had until I walked back to the bathroom.

Great food great atmosphere and drink prices for New York reasonable also very friendly staff.we will be back sometime next year

Found the bar by chance whilst visiting 9/11 museum. What a find great host, great atmosphere and for New York reasonable prices. Highly recommend, tip go there at the weekend when the financial district is not working

First time at this pub and stopped by for drinks and decided to have dinner. Great atmosphere and friendly service. Food was excellent and everyone tried something different from the menu. I've noticed at NYC Irish pubs that most of the servers and bartenders are Irish but at this pub it appears that most are not Irish, but that doesn't really matter to me (being from FL). One of the largest pubs that I have been at in the city.

Walked in to a cacophony of noise ! What a place. It was rammed with people drinking and dining. We were shown to the last table and ordered drinks and food. We had the shepherd's pie and chicken pot pie. Both were very tasty. Never seen a place so busy midweek!!! Really good

You walk down to the basement on a set of industrial looking stairs. Once you get below grade the pub opens up. It resembles a Hollywood version of an Irish Pub. Please do not let this put you off, the food and service were excellent. Had the fish and chips, they were as good as any I had in New Zealand! The beer list is extensive and well rounded. If you are a picky beer drinker, this place will have something to satisfy your thirst. Prices are what one expects in NYC, nothing is cheap here. Well worth the visit.

It's a big place composed of several rooms. Firstly we had dinner at the pub, then we played pool and after that we went to the bar where people were singing karaoke. The barman is very friendly and we had a really pleasant time!

Two of us enjoyed a casual business lunch. The Bangers & Mash were pretty good. Price was very reasonable. Would go back.

After the sombre mood created by our tour of the 9/11 Memorial we needed a bit of boost to get back into action. A quick Google search found this bar as being nearest and we found it on John St pretty quickly. Always a little wary when you find the bar is entirely down stairs but the place is actually massive. Lots of different sections and booths lining the wall. There was a good food and drink selection and service was quick and friendly. Chicken Curry, Mac n Cheese and a variety of sides and we were sorted. Would liked to have seen the place at night but it wasn't local for our hotel but I would recommend it for anyone in the area.

Went in just off the street without any research. Freezing temperature, not very friendly waitress (did her job but nothing more), smelled clorine, average food at best. The experience just wasn't any better than the rating I'm giving this place. Choose something else!

Popped into this place looking for lunch after leaving Battery Park. Good Reuben sandwich and shepherds pie. Soft drinks in cans. Great service. Not new or fancy, but no complaints.

Relatively good fayre. Only a couple of veggie options though. Server didn't quibble when I said wine was off and asked for an exchange. Error in eventual bill, but was quickly corrected. Would visit again.

The food is excellent and the staff is attentive and accurate. Very nice atmosphere. Very good drinks and not expensive.

Came upon this place while walking back to the WTC Memorial from the South Street Seaport. The couple we were with said they were there years ago and really liked it. We decided to give it a try. It was a little after 1:00pm and we were ushered in from a hostess on the sidewalk. It was a long few flights of stairs to get to the restaurant. They had a beautiful bar and many tables and booths and were were seated immediately. The place was decorated beautiful, with much brass and leather seating with wood paneled walls. There were several other large rooms I noticed (as well as a game room. A real Irish female server took our drink orders promptly, and two of us had a Black and Tan which were made perfectly. I had a corned beef sandwich and it was very good. Everything ordered by the others in our party was enjoyed very much. The server returned to our table several times and made pleasant conversation as well as taking care of all of our needs. Prices were pretty reasonable for this NYC location. I suggest you give it a try when in the area.

Met by a really friendly barman who chatted to my boys about football. The food was very good and quite a bit of it. The only problem being the waiter seemed to change his attitude when he saw the tip! It put a sour note on the evening hence the 3 stars.

We found this totally by accident one day, and are so glad we did! Fantastic staff, great venue for watching sports, or just spending an afternoon with Tim in pleasant conversation. The food here is also top notch. A nice much-needed break from the hustle and bustle at street level!

I was in NYC on business a few weeks ago. I had dinner there with a work colleague. The restaurant was deceptively large and was clean with a nice décor. It was located entirely in a basement, which was unusual to a Midwesterner. But, the food was excellent, the portions were good, and the prices were reasonable. I would eat here again and I preferred it over O'Hara's, a nearby Irish restaurant, where I had eaten dinner the night before. I would eat here again.

Below street level Irish pub. Well worth a visit if you're in the area. Particularly good for groups. Service is accommodating but can be slow. Good selection of draft beers. Food was very good. Try the Wrap It Up chicken sandwich. Delicious. Burgers and fish and chips got good marks from friends.

First night in New York and went into this place. Service was quick, efficent and friendly. Very good selection of beers,a few of which were sampledđ. Good selection on the menu. Food was well prepared and presented. Prices a little on the high side but overall worth it. Would recommend.

So me and my gf were thirsty after a few hours shopping and a Century 21 employee recommended this hidden gem! After a number of beers (all within happy hour) we tried a soup before leaving. The waitress was amazing and the bar itself is great! Irish staff with an American setting - it just works! We will definitely be heading back and honestly can't recommend the place enough! 10/10 for us!

I love US bars and this is one of the best I've visited, I love the beer and the food they serve. Tim the boss is friendly and chatty as are his team and I visited pretty much each evening during my trip to NYC. The Buffalo wings are to die for. Great place I look forward to returning soon.

Found this place while walking back from 9/11 memorial! They were doing a good all day happy hour on fri so we stopped in for a quick drink and ended up staying for a good few hours including food. Two fantastic burgers and a few drinks later we left with a great impression of the place! Staff were amazing and extremely attentive and friendly! Another addition to our recommendation list in NYC

Have visited last two nights a part of our visit to New York for New year, great pub with live sports and surprisingly large downstairs area Wife forgot her scarf first night but staff saved it and looked after it until we returned, food looked amazing but unfortunately we had reservations elsewhere so couldnât sample Safe well kept and friendly - looks like we will be coming back again soon

First time in New York and the 4 of us were looking for a place to eat after visiting the 9/11 Memorial. A lively, fun place with very friendly service and good food! Had read the reviews on Trip Advisor and this place did not disappoint.

We stopped for a late lunch while touring around town by food and bike. I split an order of bangers and mash with my wife. Maybe the best I've ever had and I wished I hadn't shared! The fried pickles app was also one of the best but the mac and cheese wedges were kind of meh. Still, we had fun here and I'll bet it's even more fun when filled up with more people. Nice interior. The atmosphere was not much, but there weren't enough people there at that mid afternoon hour to create one. Our waitress was outstanding! I'd come back

Went in for a 'quiet' drink and a bite to eat. First drink was great, we ordered nachos to share and before we ordered our 2nd drink was 'bombarded' with loud obnoxious behaviour, but then told we'd get our 2nd drink on the bar .. although she did apologise for being from Brooklyn, more swearing and more of the bar tender checking herself out in the mirror and telling us where not to go ... after visiting the ladies restroom twice was able to 'visit'. Nachos were great, had black and red as well as normal chips, very enjoyable, unfortunately after we moved our plates to one side the bar tender made a comment that it was great that the kitchen staff had done their job (how demeaning was that? also, this was while she was down the other end of the bar chatting with other staff members).. OH .. we paid for the '2nd drink on the bar' .. BTW

This was by far my favorite New York experience! The bartender (Tim) took such great care of us Saturday we had to go back Sunday. The place has a really nice feel if you like drinking bars. The game room is by far the best I have ever seen. Foozball, air hockey, pool, darts, and ping pong. Oh and pinball also! Food was delicious and honestly the cheapest beer I bought in NYC. I would highly recommend you stop in here for beers and food. Thanks Tim!

My friends and I went here after doing the 911 Memorial Museum 5K so we were hungry! One problem was that the place smelled strongly of disinfectant. I was glad they cleaned it but it was almost overwhelming. I ordered a burger, well done, and it was good but a little dry. Fries were good. Service was a little 'lax' also as we rarely had our drinks refreshed & once we had to ask.

We picked this place due to good reviews on Trip Advisor. The food was good, beer is cold, service was great, the people working there are very nice. We happened to be there the night Liverpool FC Standard Chartered (soccer) won a championship game. The fans were so rowdy (outside) you could hear them a block away. Three police cars were there (the fans were not violent and they did not block the road). A great bit of entertainment. So if youâre a soccer fan, go watch the game at the Irish American Pub! Especially if youâre a Liverpool FC fan.* As far as food: My Cobb salad tasted fresh, great ingredients and was very large. Burger was OK. Fries were very good. The kitchen was still working after the mob of soccer fans were there for hours. Thatâs impressive. Good choice of beers. *many Irish moved to Liverpool during the Great Migration in the 1800s.

Entering the venue and then going downstairs you are then met with the bar area. The venue has good service and food arrives fairly quickly. Good little find in the Wall Street area.

We came upon this place by accident and we were pleasantly surprised. My daughter and I split the Salmon and it was perfect. Delicious, moist and flavorful. Hubby had the burger and said it was good also. Server was not very friendly but may just come with the territory.

We stopped in for dinner on St Patrick's Day and, as expected, the place was packed! Still, we were able to be seated quickly and enjoyed the festive atmosphere, food and drink. The lamb Shepard's Pie was authentically good! The only problem we had was there was an extra item on our bill. When we brought it to our waitress' attention she said she would take care of it and she did. However, she brought back someone else's credit card along with my own and had split the bill in half (with this stranger). She then corrected that, but it was a big enough issue that had it not been a crazy St Patrick's Day I would have been harder on this rating.

Great food, friendly staff. All Four of us enjoyed four different meals and everyone's meal was tasty, done the way we ordered it, a must for steak and walked away full and satisfied. The fresh cut fries were the bomb. My son is a chef and is a serious food critic and he walked away very pleased with the meal. Thanks!

We had lunch at the pub. The atmosphere was typical Irish bar - no surprise there. The servers were efficient and friendly but the food was good but average. The beer selection was very good with some selections we can't get in the midwest. Overall, good but not great.

The owner and bartender were super friendly and knew how to take care of the guests, good beer and great pub food. Even though you are a Liverpool fan, this is the perfect place to visit as it is the largest Liverpool pub in North America

We were only there to get something to drink, and they had good beers. So I can not write anything about the food, but it seems that the bartenders were not at the top, if it was because they were busy, I could not comment on.

After a very wet day sightseeing and a visit to the 9/11 Memorial we wanted somewhere to have a quiet drink and late lunch. This place was exactly what we hoped for; the drinks were spot on (Wine and Guinness) and flowed nicely but the best part was the food!! The Sausage rolls with chips and beans was amazing (literally my best meal in NY) but the other food also looked so good I had the Rainbow Pancakes aswell - these didnât disappoint either! All the staff were really friendly, helpful and efficient and my husband (being from Liverpool) loved the Liverpool themed Boot Room. We have booked to return to NY next year and will definitely go back and find this place! Thank you for a lovely lunch, drinks drinks and for being so friendly đ

We were visiting NYC during the winter storm this January 2022, and this place saved us from the cold! We went 2 times. Both times the service was excellent, they have great beer selections and the best fried pickles. It's a shame we discovered it at the end of our trip. We will be coming back! 100% recommended.

Met up with a friend here after work before heading uptown to a Rangers game at MSG. The staff was really friendly and attentive. I arrived early so I was seated before my friend arrived and the staff from hostess to waiter kept an eye out and led my friend to me without me having to keep an eye on the door - really nice of them. I ordered nachos, calamari and sliders. The Guinness is excellent. The food was good and served quickly and in good portion. Really liked the friendly atmosphere and the staff - all very kind and very prompt.

Being a Liverpool F.C. fan, I had already heard of this pub through following the supporters club - and also word of mouth. I pre brooked a table for me, my dad and mum to have our tea, and alls I can say is you might have to loosen your jeans after you've ate! The food was absolutely amazing, it felt like I was back home, but could still truly taste the American flare. The pub itself is very homely, and features LFC memorabilia/pictures all over it; they show all of the LFC games too, but unfortunately for my dad we had gone on trip when they were showing. My dad and I were able to busy ourselves while waiting for our food, by touring the bar and the owner came with us too. During our meal, and the night itself, the pub owner and manager often came up to our table to chat with us. They were both so friendly, we now even have them on Facebook. While we were there, my dad gave them a JFT96 banner (which made it to their Facebook wall) and they were ever to grateful to display it. This is a must see and eat for anyone, not just a Liverpool fan. The staff and other visitors were so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be visiting on our next trip to the Big Apple.

5 minutes walk from 911 museum and a great place to get some decent food and a good beer.Friendly ,helpful staff, lively atmosohere.Good selection of Irish pub classics and well chilled beer. No complaints from us !

My spouse and I visited the Irish American Pub for drinks on a Saturday afternoon in mid-August 2017. We were staying nearby at the Millennium Hilton (see our separate review), and we stopped on our way from seeing the Wall Street Bull back to the hotel. We were heading to its neighbor Les Halles, which we had not realized had recently permanently closed. The Irish American Pub is open daily from 10:00 am until 2:00 am (with extended hours until 4:00 am on Wednesdays through Saturdays). Although it is probably not necessary, you can book a table using the online Open Table reservation system; however, walk-in guests seem equally welcome. This bar is located on the basement level of row of buildings in the Financial District, but it features a doorway and a marquee at street-level on John Street (just follow the flags hanging in the stairwell). On the afternoon that we visited, a staff member stood on John Street to greet patrons and encourage them to enter. Downstairs, the large room offers seating at the long wood bar, at high-top tables, or at regular-height tables. Several TVs positioned around the space allow you to watch your favorite sporting event (particularly British âfootballâ). A private event/game room offers a billiards, foosball, air hockey, table tennis, and darts. The Irish American serves upscale tavern food, including starters (like wings, quesadillas, nachos, mozzarella sticks), salads, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, and entrees (including some Irish-themed dishes like fish and chips, bangers and mash, sausages, and shepherdâs pie). It offers a full liquor license including wine, cocktails, and beer (both craft and traditional by draft and by bottle). We stayed for almost two hours, and when we ordered our fourth round, the sociable bartender told us it was complimentary, according to the Irish âbuy-backâ custom. (However, in reviewing our bill afterwards, we probably paid more for the first three rounds in order to compensate for the free one.) The Irish American Pub fit our needs, and the hospitality of the staff will make us return next time we are in the area.

I've been twice in this delicious local. The first time I and my boyfriend discovered it accidentally and we're glad we did it because we really enjoyed it. Great meat, great location (very characteristic local) and very friendly staff. We are Italians on vacation in New York and I need to say we will definitely be back, they hit our hearts. We tried the burger and chicken wings in bbq sauce. Those who want to eat a typical American hamburger with delicious meats in a good location is in the right place. A greeting from Sicily :)

Staying in aka Wall Street we wanted to play pool & my team wanted beer....they also had foosball. Lost star as air hockey was broken & entrance confusing (horrible, horrible karaoke scared my friends & music didn't really cover up all time)

We were looking for a good pub for a good burger and my husband said it did not disappoint. I ordered the French dip and I was not as impressed. My sandwich was more bread than anything else and the meat was fatty. The sweet potato fries were delicious and the chicken caprese sandwich was also a hit. We went around lunchtime on a Saturday and were seated immediately with soccer games on most screens but a cricket match on another. Liked that gratuity was already included in the bill. Would definitely return if in the area.

Much larger than it appears from the street, and it gets quite busy in the evening after work. Service was attentive but a little impersonal. Food and drinks were good. A good spot for a casual meal in the area.

Nice dark pub atmosphere. They offered good typical Irish Pub fare. The food was tasty and the portions were huge. A nice lunch break from walking around the city.

The service was very friendly and fast. We had yummy food and beverages. My teenage daughter eats (only) Mac and cheese and pretzels so this place was a hit for her. It was a little loud but you could still have a nice conversation at your table.

Our hotel was nearby. We'd checked to see what restaurants were within walking distance. What a fun place! The steps are rather steep but worth the effort. The pub serves fantastic food. I had the Gaelic Burger and my sister had Fish & Chips. Both were delicious and cooked to perfection. If you wanted to go into the "play room" and try your hand at ping pong, fooze ball, shoot some pool, etc., go for it. It's a bit loud but it's a pub.

Great tavern hidden and nestled between office buildings & a Duane Reade store. Down the stairs & boy open into a huge bar. They have happy hour all day - but the House Burger is very tasty. Bacon, cheese , fries onion pieces on top of this burger was perfect! The staff could definitely use improvement but it wonât stop me from coming from sure !

Friendly staff. Great beer! Great chicken wings. Was very busy after work on a Thursday night but they still managed to accommodate us. Thank you!

Visited New York with my friend for my 50th birthday and found this little gem around the corner from our hotel (Millenium Hilton Downtown). Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and customers. We were made very welcome by the staff, we pitched up at the bar and ordered drinks and burgers, which were totally delicious. (Beers $7/$8, burgers $16) Stayed the entire evening (unplanned!) and left late and a little tipsy! We visited a further few times during our stay and was always made welcome by the bar staff, especially Donna. We chatted to some regulars, Steve - was a hoot! as was Mike and his mate with a clock work bug!! Anyway a lovely place - you wanna feel welcome in New York, get in here.

The place is lively (and noisy but it s part of the charm). You can eat / share generous dishes that were quite good and salads are fresh. Service is efficient. Good place to come with friends and watch a game with the screens everywhere.

On holiday in NYC we stumbled across this pub in John St Manhatten. So glad we did we had great food at reasonable prices and were made most welcome by Tim and Khan. The service was pretty good and drinks were the cheapest we found in NYC. It was so good we ate there every night and on our return from Washington we headed straight back. Thoroughly recommend this place, good atmosphere good food and good people.

Went here last night after reading tripadvisor reviews and we were disappointed. Bar and restaurant are underground which made all of us feel very uncomfortable. Food was okay but not amazing, Chicken curry was tasteless! Service was awful, neither Irish or American! Very expensive for location/food/service. No atmosphere! Probably the only pub restaurant that has let us down since weâve been here!

Itâs a bit of a Christmas tradition for us to have a relaxing dinner in a pub on Christmas Eve, to welcome the Christmas and holiday season in a relaxed and celebratory manner. Having just arrived in New York after flying in from London UK a few hours earlier, we took a chance on the Irish American pub we had come across as we were exploring the Wall Street area to orient ourselves. The pub looked cheery and full of Christmas spirit; the doorman / security was friendly (and correctly inviting on vaccination certificate), and the menu seemed ideal, with a good selection of sandwiches and more substantial meals. We were not disappointed at at all. Our party of four was welcomed warmly, and seated promptly. The pub was busy, and the ambiance was convivial and Christmassy. Service was efficient, helpful and friendly, without being overbearing or too hurried. The menu is quite extensive, with something for all palates. Thereâs a good selection of light meals, decent offerings for vegetarians, a good range of traditional Irish dishes, and a decent menu for children. We ordered a selection of small and substantial meals, to be brought around the same time. Our selections were: the French Onion Soup ($11.00); the Vegetable Spring Rolls ($13.00), the Roast Turkey B.L.T.A. (thin sliced roasted turkey with American bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado on grain bread and served with cranberry and mayo - $17.00); the Rueben sandwich (corned beef, melted Swiss cheese and sauerkraut on rye bread with Thousand Island Dressing- $17.00); and the 6 ounce char broiled strip loin served with hand cut fries ($29.00). Our meals were served promptly, and all dishes arrived together as requested. Our meals were piping hot and fresh; everyone enjoyed their meals. Water was replenished frequently, and we were left to eat in peace without frequent intrusion from the waiting staff. Bathrooms were also very clean and regularly inspected and sanitised. Itâs pub food, not haute cuisine, and it met our expectations perfectly. We thoroughly our Christmas Eve dinner, and fully recommend this pub.

Good Food. We tried this and loved it. Clean and very spacious restaurant! Fish and chips were a hit! Strong drinks! Fun atmosphere!!

Management and staff not transparent about customer(s) personal Item(s) being missing not recovered nor returned to customer and at least looking at business video cameras. (Back pack unaccounted for after second Bar where there Karaoke Is closed for the Nite) Food, Entertainment and Music Is alright, thus as a person living with disabilities over (01) One Year that may end In death I would expect a business to be transparent with customers with care and courtesy.

Awesome atmosphere, large dining area, great staff! Food was fantastic and very affordable. Good beer selection!! Close to Trade Center

Why is it always so loud in an Irish Pub? But it was fun. Delicious food and drinks for a reasonable price. A bit confusing with the tax and tip. The message is to pay close attention and ask for a bill.

Good drinks, the seated area was totally empty. This is probably because of the holiday season. Had trouble getting attention of the staff because of this so I would probably like to see what it's like out of the this time of year. Hot wings not bad but felt slightly overdone. Chicken burger and fries were great.

A century 21 store manager recommended this restaurant when we were exhausted from shopping at century 21 and just wanted to sit down and be served dinner. Burgers and French dip were very good.

Good food and drinks in the basement. Not far from WTC good chance to off the street and relax. Great burgers and fries as well as the veggie quiche

When visiting New York, I stumbled across this place. What a great find! After going down below street level you come into a dimly lit cave-like bar. The atmosphere is great and so is the food, I really enjoyed it!

Stopped in for a couple beers and a break from our city walking. Hi We found a charming pub with great service and cold beers. Tim, our bartender, was equal parts host and friend you want to hang out with. We will be back for some food!

Sorry I can't be more descriptive. Came here for an early dinner, service was good but food was average the chicken curry comes from a jar. But for a drink its a good venue especially if you are a Liverpool fan (funny that) be warned wine can be on the expensive side.

It's a real relief to find these Irish Pubs, and this is yet another good example for a Cheap & Cheerful in this most expensive of interesting cities. Bangers & Mash, hits the spot @ $16, French onion soup @ $8, ++ Typical Faux character but still comfy. Almost a transplant with funny accents. Enjoyable

Wonderful find in the financial district. Great atmosphere and food. Prices were very reasonable for large portions of food. Clean too.

The atmosphere is nice and the stuff is friendly. We were a group of friends, some of us had burgers and some chicken which were quite ok, but the chicken wings were terrible and some of my friends vomited all night long because of them, so be careful!

Recently went here while on a trip for my wife's 50th Birthday. Our son joined us. When entering you walk down a flight of stairs and past the bar to the dining room area. This place is extremely loud so don't plan on speaking in a normal tone. We started with an order of nachos with chicken that were ok. The wife got a burger which looked good. Son got Buff mac and cheese that was very hot. I myself got the Beef Shepard's pie. It was nothing to write home about at all. There were not many veggies and it was basically hamburg in gravy under a pile of mashed potatoes. The wife actually makes a better one at home. Tasted like the gravy came out of a jar. The worst part of the dinner was the service. The Indian gentlemen that we had for our waiter was more concerned with standing at the sales terminal talking to his pals than waiting on a table. The Buff Mac & Cheese was so spicy and hot that my son wanted another coke to help wash it down. The wife and I also wanted another couple of drinks. The guy never came back for at least 15 minutes. Never came back to ask how the food was after we started eating. A busboy cleaned off our plates and by the time the waiter came back we were done. When I asked for the bill he disappeared yet again for another 15 minutes and I sat and watched him chatting at the terminal with his pals once again. Overall the food was fair, prices too high and the service was awful! If the service is going to be that poor the prices should be adjusted. $16 for nachos with chicken is a little extreme. Will not be back if i'm in the area again.

Took dinner here tonight. Good experience - nice authentic Irish sports bar look about it with multiple televisions showing different sports. Nice comfortable seating with attentive service. Chose French onion soup and chicken curry. Both quite nice! Discovered they sold an exceptionally good black cherry cider - remarkable. Downside: wifi not working. In all other respects a very nice sports bar.

We couldnt believe our luck finding Carraghers bar then the NY bootroom. We only popped in for a couple of pints and to see Ireland beat Italy 1:nil in the euros , they play the hosts France in the last 16 - well done !! Getting back to the bar i took lots of piccies to show my LFC mates back im the Costa del Sol , Sunny Spain . We also brought some Bootroom badges. I know we are the best supported team in the world , but seeing the Liverpool flags , banners and scarfs from other American cities it humbled me , we may be thousands of miles apart but when LFC is on your blood and you are welcomed into ever growing family "You'll never walk alone " Justice to the 96.

We were looking for a place to have lunch with our family, and though we did not think this place would be kid friendly, it actually was! They had a nice kids menu, and the food came out quickly. We had eight people in our group and everyone thought the food was great. Neat place!

The desk person at my hotel recommended stopping here as a good place to watch the Jets game and have a few drinks and a decent dinner. The decor is great, and the pub has a real cozy feel to it. Beers were cold and served quickly, and the selection of brews was impressive. There were several tv's so watching the game was easy to do. I had a burger, which was cooked exactly medium as requested, which surprisingly can be difficult to get a place to get right. Our table also split an order of wings, which were excellent. Off of the main bar, there was a second bar area that was decorated and dedicated to Liverpool Football, and a game room that had a nice layout of pool tables, dart boards, and foosball. This place is a hidden gem in lower Manhattan, and next time I'm in town, I will be coming back to raise a few glasses.

Extremely rude and enraged bouncers, dirty place. A dive bar with nothing else to offer. Itâs not a place Iâd recommend for even an emergency nor a leisure place.

My wife and I were given a recommendation for a lunch spot, a place we never found. We went in to the Irish American on a whim. We were very happy with our choice. Good service. Good food. Good prices. A great find for us. $49 lunch for 2 (with one glass of wine, tip not included)? We had the Chieftain and Glen sandwiches. Both were good.

I stopped here by chance with my wife. It was a great spot with terrific, friendly service and interesting regulars. The bartender was authentic Irish and very nice. Added bonus, some of the best buffalo wings I've had in NYC.

This bar is tucked away and only reason we knew about it was a billboard on main street advertising it. Really nice place to have a rest and a drink.

We went in at 1 on a Saturday and it was empty. Excellent food, best burger we have had since we were in Ireland. Service was good. Will be back.

Very busy, especially on a Saturday night. Food good and nachos plentiful. Beer great. Whats not to like?

The IA has been a long standing stop off for a drink whilst in NYC. On this occasion it felt to have deteriorated, a little grubby and fairly uninviting. I'm in no rush t return, especially where there are far nicer places opening in FiDi these days.

A very good sized bar, friendly staff, tasty and reasonably priced food. A good place to watch soccer, particularly if youâre a Liverpool FC supporter!

This is just round the corner from Ground Zero and so provides a welcome place to compute what you have experienced. Sit at the bar - it is fun. The beer is great and the service entertaining.

Met a friend for a beer and great place to grab a drink. Very large place that does not look too big from the street. Good service. Lots of seating and comfortable.

This eatery downstairs off John Street offered a perfect respite from the oppressive August heat. It is large and several-sectioned in addition to a marvellous and well-stocked bar. On weekends it offers several Irish traditional Irish dishes (full breakfast, sausage and egg, etc) for all-day brunch, but otherwise it's a typical pub menu with some interesting appetizers. The parents went with the Chieftain sandwich, a sumptuous pile of rare steak, fried onion and cheese, with delicious hand-cut potato and sweet potato fries. Delicious. Daughter 1 had the Gaelic burger, and loved the fact it was cooked medium rare as she requested. Daughter 2 went with the Mac and Cheese, generously laced with bacon and served volcano hot. Also a hit. With 2 Smithwick's, 9 oz glass of Merlot and two soft drinks, $92 before tip.

Lucky enough to find this place after a visit to the 9/11 memorial. Great atmosphere, awesome food and if your a Liverpool supporter, a Mecca!!!! Very reasonable prices ($7 for Stella).

I happened to stumble across this establishment recently and received some of the best service ever!!!! Jeff the man was the man that night. I been back 2 or 3 times after my first visit and I'm telling you it's a vibe. I guess I found my after work spot in this area.He was Attentive and had everything under control. The service, food and ambiance is definitely on point. Great hire right here!!! Ask for Jeff when you go through!!! Tell him I sent ya!!!

Very nice bar, great atmosphere, pool tables in the back, good food, went on a Sunday evening and it was not crowded so you could actually have a conversation

Very quick service great local beer food was good friendly staff buzzing plenty of customers which is a good sign

Where I come from it is hard to find a good Irish meal. My chicken Pot Pie had wonderful flaky crust and chock full of meat, vegetables and creamy sauce. I savored every bite. Since this was a business lunch, did not try the alcohol menu, nor did I hang out in the bar, but looked like fun.

Visited the bar and restaurant on a recent trip to newyork on two ocassions , greeted by friendly staff , enjoyed great food and drinks on both times , a really nice find đ

Came here after visit at 911 museum. thought we wanted brunch but decided on lunch. Shepherds pie was outstanding. Fish and chips really good too. Highly recommend.

I ate at The Irish American Pub during my visit to New York and was really thrilled with the experience! I ordered the Leinster House Burger which was absolutely delicious and of a generous serving. There was no greasy taste to the meat which enhanced the eating pleasure. I also ordered Buffalo wings which were so tasty! The Pub was clean, servers were friendly and the music was good. Looking forward to visiting this Pub again on my next visit to New York.

We were walking and getting cold. The entrance to this basement bar could be so easily missed being just a doorway but we spotted it and decided to give it a try for a beer. Bar service was friendly. They were not busy mid afternoon on a Monday. Beers we're good and we enjoyed our time at the bar. The dining room area is surprisingly large. We didn't try any food but got the impression it was okay. We're glad we didn't miss this. A good find.

Lots of soccer scarfs to decorate this comfortable pub atmosphere. The food is good and the service is prompt ( although I didn't sense that the servers are Irish)
Good food
My husband had chili and side salad. The chili was topped with cheese, chopped onion and a dollop of sour cream. My husband thought it was very good. I thought it was good. The chili itself was not overly flavorful, but the toppings up the taste value. I had lamb lollipops, chili and side salad. The grilled lamb lollipops were excellent. The flavors was excellent and the temperature was perfect. Kind of random, but the house salad was very good size and tasted very fresh. Server was not mean, but he was not friendly either. Standoffish. Cost=$60.97
