We ended up overeating as the rolls were all good --the chicken, shrimp, paneer, aloo...the lassis (mishti doi and mango were also good). The place is a bit small and tight but the food is strongly recommended. Excellent service too!

A good place to go for a quick Indian wrap and they have tasty chai tea as well. Quite cheap too, the only downside I found was my wraps were a little too dry.

Aah where do I begin?! I love this place. Its small with limited seating but the rolls are out of this world! We keep going back. Again and again!

A quaint place with easy access from Times Square. They offer a variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian Indian rolls (fast food) - freshly prepared and very tasty. We ordered a dinner take out of egg & chicken rolls and were very happy.

I was looking for a place to grab a quick bite and was surprised at the great flavors of the dishes in the place. It had just the right amount of spice, portions weren't huge and the staff was friendly, and the decor funky. I recommend it if you are on the go and are looking for something different/healtheir than the typical fast food options.

These rolls were fantastic. Wish we’d ordered more! Definitely recommend this for a quick food option. Only down side is the place is small and not much seating but it was packed.

The vegetarian rolls are more flavor-packed, but everything was super super yum! Not much room to sit, but the rolls are great for carry-out and there are a few seats to dine-in. Highly recommend Kati Roll Company for something quick and easy in the area.

Busy little place, good concept, went for the kebab in a prata, felt it lacks authenticity, could have been more flavoursome. Would prob go back and try something else.

It's Indian fast food joint. Amazing taste and flavor for both vegetarians and non-veg lovers. Reasonable priced and good choices.

One of the worst food I have ever tasted very poor staff and serve very low quality food and no proper response for the customers

Having experienced rolls back in India , I decided to give this place a try. It has about 3 branches in Midtown . I tried shami kebab roll and chicken tikka roll. Food was amazing. We also ordered chicken tikka bowl that comes with rice. Ambience is decent if not the best . Overall would like to try it again. They do have lassi and pops .

Bought 12 Kati Rolls for family meal from London branch. Looking forward to it. But they packed one less. very disappointing as Happened before too. However cannot fault the taste

No place to sit. Very old raggedy chairs and benches....had to stand for a while and it is very busy. Food was tasty..but rolls are over priced and there was no tissue paper. The people in line were ill tempered and angry I was trying to get a drink for my son after we had already placed order. They thought I was cutting in line even though I explained this is just a add on for my son who is already at a table. But the guy at counter took the payment...drink costs $3.54 (limca). It is ok...but I think Subway provide more bang for the buck and it is not over crowded either. Just my take.

It is one block away from the legendary NYPL and Bryant park. Always packed and most with Indians- normally I take that as an indicator of authenticity. Personally I feel it is on the oily side, glad I tried it.

I tried this in London four years ago and I remembered the taste vividly. I saw it on the map in New York and decided to go instantly. I ordered a Chicken and Egg roll and it was delicious. The best part is that it was Halal meat. I ordered a Kesar Pista Lassi. It was a yummy drink. Unlike other restaurants who add extract in Lassis, this one tasted like it was pure. Overall,it was good. The only thing I didn't like was the attitude of the lady at the counter. I asked if there is a cheese and meat roll option and she snubbed me badly. Then an Indian guy came to service me, who was nice. Only because of the attitude of the lady, I would give this restaurant a 3/5.

We visited this place on Dec 28, 2021. My check had a time of 8:05 PM. They asked us to wait about 45 minutes. Given that most restaurants will always give safer estimate, we decided to wait still expecting that it should be there in about 30 mins. At 9:08 PM, after some unpleasant discussions, we still didn't get our food, nor they were close to start serving it. Very conveniently, they cancelled our order after making us wait for over an hour. For some restaurants, 1 hour may seem normal time to deliver the food to the table after the order is placed. But this is a just a fast food place with not more than 10 items on the menu, so it's supposed to have a much faster turnaround. This place is run by people who don't care about the business. I saw the staff working behind the counter without any sense of urgency to fulfill the online and in store orders. They seemed to lack any skills which should be required during pick hours of such business. There were about 8 people working in the kitchen and at the register but without producing any efficient results. We were not the only ones requesting their food, as there were lot of other people waiting the in the store who either ordered in store or came to pick up their online orders. The rudeness of the staff made it worse, as they started disrespecting customers following up on their orders. More than the number of orders received, staff's inefficiency and lack of experience was the biggest reason for the chaos that evening. I am willing to talk this at length if owner(s) want to discuss that to understand a customer's perspective. That will help them to make this place a little better.

This is by far one of my favourite spots in NYC! Their rolls are just perfection, and they have a large selection. Try the mango lassi, it's worth it too!

Nothing fancy BUT a very nice, simple menu with solid options for vegetarians and meat lovers. Always make it a point to go there when I visit NYC.

I think the whole ordering and cooking process took only a few minutes, it was lightning fast. And yet the flavours were plentiful, the food affordable, and pretty healthy. A great lunch option, I will definitely be going back to try more of these indian-inspired rolls.

Over the years, I have been here many times for their Kathi Rolls and tea. It can get crowded in the evenings and nights. From what I have observed, this place is very popular for aged group 20-40. I have learned that they are renovating the premise; and I hope that they make it look a lot better. If you are a Bollywood buff, the walls here have a treat for you! Go to get pleasantly surprised, and taken by the creativity. Again, I hope they renovate the place soon! Great Kathi Rolls!

Very nice place for a quick lunch. Simple, functional, clean. Tasty food, if you like North Indian food. Good vegetarian options. Quick service and decent seating.

Reminded me of the hawker food back in India. Very very very yummy rolls they serve. They serve Chai, Lassi samosas. Superb preparation. A treat to your tongue.

Passed Kati Roll Co back on my way to my hotel. I was in for a late night snack, so I took one. Should have taken two rolls. So delicious! Unfortunately they were already closing.

Very good food, no doubt. But its crowded, service is slow and restrooms are not clean. Not enough sitting place but we live the food.

Excellent rolls !!!! Both veg and non veg .. Very hygienic and fresh .. Must eat .. Authentic taste ..

I have and always will LOVE Kati Roll; could eat them everyday. Anyway, what a wonderful surprise when I went for a walk at lunchtime and literally bumped into Kati Roll! Only a few blocks from Grand Central (near my work place). I cannot say anything more than anyone else has about this chain. They are awesome and consistent (very important IMO). Try all of the rolls, they are delicious. As I sit here and review them, I am snacking on 2 of the rolls. Best time to go.....at lunch, fresh and quick service.

excellent kathi kebabs . been going there since 2009 . awesome location and awesomer food. simple place and menu. has a few tables. must visit.

This was my first time there. The food was wonderful and has the perfect amount of spices. The portion size was good too. The only suggestion I have would be to have their bottled lassies at a colder temperature. I will go back again. Try it. You will not be disappointed!

After a long day of walking around and sight seeing, this was bliss. Finally some really good halal food! Me and my friend both opted for the chicken tikka roll and it was delicious! Simple menu, very reasonably priced and tasted so good! Great Indian street food. Simple place with a funky interior. Next time I pay a visit to New York I will definitely go back. I would recommend this to everyone!

It's easy to imagine that a food truck in New Delhi would serve rolled up Indian treats similar to the offerings at Kati Roll. Using your choice of paratha or roti, Kati roll gives customers a variety of well seasoned Indian fillings for a quick lunch or dinner. Vegetarians and vegans have a good variety of choices - a big plus. Service is quick and the food is well seasoned and fresh. A few tables in the Bollywood themed restaurant are available or the rolls can be fixed for take out. A great place for lunch in Midtown.

A local Indian friend took us here. I really liked the food. It was fresh, tasty, not too spicy (I was flying home a few hours later and was trying to avoid food that would unsettle my stomach!) ... I had a veggie roll and a paneer roll, both were delicious. It sounds like this place gets pretty busy at peak times. We got food at about 3.30/4pm and there were only a couple of others in the shop. Took maybe 10 mins for our orders to be prepped but that was OK.

Here you will find very good food with Indian spices, educated kind workers and fair prices! Recommend a visit!

We were looking for a quick bite to eat before returning to our hotel after a pretty busy day. We just fancied chilling out in Bryant park with some food and found this place nearby. I love Indian food and so was really looking forward to trying the rolls. We waited almost an hour to be served in this very small, very crowded place. The service was so slow, and the woman packing the rolls had no idea whether she was coming or going. I think they perhaps need more staff back there to keep things running smoothly! However, when we finally got our food it was really nice, although I cant say it was worth an hour waiting for.

Don't be afraid of the decor (there is none), or the wait for your take out food ( you can eat there, but why would you). FANTASTIC kati rolls. Just amazing.

Kati roll company serves best rolls. There chai is amazing too. One should definitely try it out, for vegetarians, Achari paneer is a must.

Really tasty fast food. We fancied something a bit different so went here. We had a kebab roll and a chickpea roll. Both great but could have done with additional sauce. We also had a chai which was delicious and mango lassi. We wanted a rice bowl but they had run out which was a shame and had also run out of potato wedges. Tasty food but tad pricey as the rolls are quite small.

Went to the Kati Roll Conpany for lunch take out with a colleague. There was quite a queue. I had a chicken tikka with egg wrap and a shrimp wrap (two are recommended for a meal). Both were very tasty and a bit different. Highly recommended.

Ate a bunch of rolls at the restaurant. The place was pretty crowded as we reached around lunchtime and most of the office crowd reached there for lunch. The mango lassi was good as well.

I was taken there by an Indian host who recommended the place and right he was: great Indian taste at decent prices, at a convenient location. Recommended for an in-between snack or for full dinner or lunch - just order what your appetite is!

Amazing place to be. I went with my relatives and had Shrimp Masala Roll and Unda Chicken Roll along with tea there. Both the rolls were delicious and worth the money. You should try the rolls as it brings a very justified Indian taste to it in "Swades". The service was quick and since it is a fast food joint, you are not much bothered about the staff quality and behavior. Very ideal for a quick lunch or a stomach fill if you have a time crunch with you.

Good tasting, easy to prep Indian food. Long line during weekday lunch rushes but probably worth the wait. Two or three rolls should hit the spot, no problem.

Place serves super tasty kati rolls. Must try Egg and potato rolls. It's just amazing. Service is quick and staff is friendly too. They serve Indian Chai too

Always awesome food. Good location, open till late. I ordered chana roll and aloo anda roll with a drink

I just love their food. The Unda Shami roll is on point. The service is quick and efficient. I will go back here everytime I am in NYC

I ordered from here twice once through Uber eats and the other through chow now. I love that the rolls were filled end to end. The food was pipping hot when it was delivered. I tried the shrimp roll, the unda beef roll and the unda shammi roll. Would definitely recommend this place for a cheap eat

First night in NYC for long weekend. Had the lamb and lentils in paratha. Really good - flavorful, tasty and not too spicy. Great place for quick meal with friends. If you like Ginger Ale, they have the real stuff!

Quick efficient and friendly ordering process. Nice simple uncomplicated menu. I had the vegetarian paneer roll. It was tasty and decently sized for a snack. I also had the orange flavoured lassi which was good. Prices are reasonable and there was place to sit and eat. The shop was neat and clean. Overall can't fault it. I would return in future.

famous among Indians (specially Bengali) and their tangy taste will make you eat more.. each roll is in range of $4-6 and its totally worth.. on weekends/ festive days, you cant even find seat here so either avoid or go for carry out. ambiance is typical Bengali thela style.but i liked it.. it is well located near macys herald square (39th st) so its 'definitely' go place

If you are missing Indian paranthas then pls visit this place in Maiden lane NYC. Really good & affordable prices in comparison to other food joints. Try achari paneer & mix veg rolls😋

Very inexpensive Indian Restaurant where they serve delicious wraps of all kinds (meat, vegetables, shrimp). Very inexpensive.

Loved the yum rolls, price is great!! The rice bowl was such a huge portion for the price. Do try the mango lassi. Cordial staff.

Yummy Indian rolls. Ordered 5 rolls Bowen 3 of us plus 3 chai teas. All were delicious. Vegetarian and meat options. Crowded.

Ate brunch at kati roll company.Loved the Kolkatta style rolls-ordered Chicken roll(mild) & Kosha mangsho roll(mediumspicy) & Mishti Doi lassi. Loved Kosha mangsho roll & lassi. Went & ordered a spicy Chicken egg roll(not as good but decent). Highly recommend this place. Turns out owners are from Kolkatta(I was born in Kolkata & love a good roll). Loved it.

If you're looking for a meal, or a snack on the go, this place give some pretty close to authentic tasting Indian food. Having traveled to India many times I expected the food here to be changed for western palettes, but I was surprised when I tasted it. Will definitely be back!

i have been to kati roll many times and always go back because they have great snack food. the paneer roll and the aloo roll were really good - this time i also got the vegan momos which were decent

We've been wanting to try this place for awhile and we finally had the chance. It's a small place with only a few tables so don't expect to sit. Order at counter and go. They recommend 2 rolls for a meal , but one did it.

Terrible service, especially from the lady behind the counter. Instead of giving out the last three food orders that were ready, she chose to calculate the money from the cash register. The three customers, including myself, had to wait until she was finished - and she took lots of time - while the food was ready right behind her. In doing this she was seemingly purposefully disrespectful towards the waiting customers. Avoid by all means, at least this location.

Went for lunch and waited about 30 minutes for my food. The food is delicious, fresh and very flavorful. I had the unda roll and the chicken rice bowl. I would rate a 5 but the wait was too long. I will have to make sure I go really early or late next time, or order in advance.

Been going to this place for years. After chicken and rice, the next best thing for a late night meal in nyc, especially after a long night of partying. Nyc staple, a might if you want to experience a hole in the wall yet still good nyc food scene.

Dam good fast Indian fooooood. went during busy lunch time, but still dam perfect on taste and spices. RECOMMENDED!!!!!

A good variety of non vegetarian and vegetarian rolls . The Shami kebab and The Shrimp Masala rolls stand out . Can be quite spicy though if you ask for the chilly version . Chutney on the side is hot . Not much place to sit so more of a takeaway

The place offers excellent Indian style rolls at a reasonable cost. The service is prompt and decoration of the place was interesting!

I love the tea at Kati roll company. The rolls are just okay.. but do satisfy the craving for a paratha. Lunch time its packed.. but its good value for money.

We were roaming around this place and I tried the Trip Advisor app -Restaurants near me and found out this place. Although the place seems dated and there are only couple of tables to seat on, still it had a good crowd. I could understand that after I tasted the yummy Egg chicken Katti Roll(Wraps) along with some piping hot masala tea in a cool NYC evening.Try this out if you are closeby!

We visited this place after all the great reviews we had heard. It was worth the walk from Central Park with 2 very tired kids. The Kati rolls were out of this world. Our very picky eater kids ( ages 10 & 8) loved the Achari paneer roll & chicken tikka roll. We also tried the shrimp roll & the vegetable ones and they were good

This is a hole in the wall that fills a specific need to eat this specific snack. They don’t have curries etc. the goat kati roll was somewhat of a disappointment as it lacked taste and flavor. The unda aloo roll was much better. Cool place to get a sandwich after a bar crawl.

Wowza! We were not expecting to love this place as much as we did. The rolls from the 39th street location were so good that we came back a second time - something we didn’t do for any other spot in NYC. Extremely friendly staff. Wish we had one close by!

Pretty reasonable price and fast service. If you're hungry plan on downing 2 of these beauties 😀 I had the chicken unda and paneer roll....I asked for them to be spicy ....I am a spice lover and could have handled more heat. This satisfied my kathi roll craving!!! My kids loved this too and enjoyed the lassis Place is small however we had no trouble getting a table for 5 at around 2pm on a weekday.

We walked here after going to a 7 pm Broadway show. I was surprised that we were one of the few non-Indian customers. The cuisine is Indian street food and is for real, but it is not gourmet. Go if you like Indian food. We'll be back!

If you like a small not to heavy kebab roll. This is the place we had the chicken tikka and aloo (spicy mashed potato) rolls excellent. Also try the chicken tikka plate not too big not too small just the right amount delicious

Hyped. The service was slow and it seemed like they did not care. They put a lady at the front who did not know how to use the register and none of her co workers were interested in helping her out. I ordered chai and it took 45 minutes to be made. Every time I asked they said it was coming. There were a couple of ladies who left without getting theirs since they were pretty upset already as their order had been messed up 3 times already. When we went the place wasnt busy but by the time my chai arrived there was a huge line. The food is pretty tasty though. We had the paneer, chicken and shrimp. Greasy but saitisfying.

As the title says, I am an Indian so thereby feel I reserve the right to judge that this was very very good, I tried a fair few of these and each was lovely, worth stopping by for sure, I will visit the London branch when I get home!

Lacks cleanliness - I worry about hygiene. It needs major revamp. Poor service times for NYC standard. It shouldn’t take 20 Minutes with less than 5 people on the line to deliver one simple order for one person dining in. Staff seem to be chatting up and having fun instead of attending to customers. Prices have gone up for sure.

Delicious paratha rolls, with tasty fillings. Got 2 chicken tikka rolls, and a shrimp tikka roll, plus 2 chais. Perfect amount for 2 people, and only $22. The chicken tikka was delicious, with high quality chicken and a tasty curry lightly filled on the inside. The rolls never got soggy, and the bread itself was light and buttery. The shrimp tikka roll was incredible, with a tangy green curry and big, juicy shrimp. The chais were a perfect finish. The sign said "best chai in NYC". While that's a bit of an overstatement, it was still hot & a tad bit spicy. You can't beat a clean restaurant for cheap, delicious food. Will absolutely return.

We had egg chicken roll and egg alu roll. It was nice. The interior and decor is simple but good. The masala tea was superb!

Rice bowl are really good. We tried chana bowl aloo bowl and chicken bowl. employer, friendly. we all love katiroll this time they have rice. That is really amazing. It’s fill it up.

First time here today, enjoyed it immensely. There is a line out the door for this Indian "restaurant," or fast food place. Chicken kebab was delicious, as was the beef. Only issue was very little seating, and the door into kitchen slams shut every time. Outside of that, food was great, people nice, and pricing fair.

Wow - amazing place for Indian food. Not your typical Indian place. They specialize in Roti Rolls. Very flavorful fillings of chicken, beef, etc. real treat for the taste buds. Not a sit down place - limited seats. But who cares. There were 5 in our party. Recommend 2 rolls per person (or more). 1 roll will likely not fill your stomach. Well worth the visit. Highly recommended. Green sauce available for extra $0.25 but it's really not necessary.

I always stop by once when visiting NYC. Few locations in the city to visit and always an enjoyable stop for both me and my wife. Ask for spicy for an extra kick.

This place is amazing, if you are in New York this place is a must visit place for some mouth watering chicken and shami kabab rolls.

Cool non-tacky indian decor, quick tasty parantha rolls, sassy black woman service-- perfect. A variety of fillings and great-tasting lassi.

Good food if you are having a craving for Indian taste. Limited seating and be prepared for long queues.

I enjoyed this as glorified street food, and a quickie eat and run spot. Flavors are sensational. My Chicken Tikka roll was a little dry, maybe I forgot to ask for sauce.? But overall, 2 rolls for $12 can not be beat.

Its a really small place , looks like one of those hole in the wall joints, there is very little space to sit down for food. But the food is fresh prepared right in front of you. Its not very spicy ( you can get extra chopped green chillies but its not the same). We ordered a few items , i liked the mixed vegetable the best. I tried the egg rolls , they tasted like scrambled eggs rolled into a roti.

My husband and I ordered online from our hotel room and then picked up our order. They had it ready for him when they said they would. Their food is unbelievably amazing !! We ordered the roll with potato and egg, the beef tikka roll and the chickpea rice bowl. The flavors just explode in your mouth! I am back home now and truly craving Kati Roll. When we go back to NY, I know where I’m going...a few times!!

I love this place - we tried a few different types, but the vegetarian wins, hands down. the restaurant is right in the middle of the Village. there are places to sit if you don't want to eat on the move.

Love this place a must when in NYC. One of the best places to eat vegetarian spicy Kati rolls at wee hours of night

Went to this kati roll location for a quick bite and was very disappointed. I don't think this is made for a south asian palate and everything was dry and bland. Got the sauces on the side and it didn't help.Thelewala is much better for kati rolls.

A great quick bite and very delicious. Just a hole in the wall and always packed, but didnt delay our order. Thanks to my local friend who suggested this place

The rolls were so delicious that even though I was rushed on my way to the airport I went back for another. Perfect flavors, all freshly prepared ingredients. The paratha that it’s all wrapped in would be delicious on its own. If you’re vegetarian they have lots of great options and they’re not an afterthought. Ordering in person was much smoother and faster that ordering online. (While we were eating the first ones in the park I realized how good they were and placed an online order for another. The online order didn’t even arrive to them until well after we walked back to the restaurant.) This was definitely some of the best (flavorful, pretty healthy, filling) on-the-go food I’ve ever had .

A Karachiite will always appreciate a good Kabab Roll, and when someone told me about this tiny little place near Bryant Park, I was craving for a good, spicy kabab roll – especially after a couple of weeks of bland food! The place is tiny and quaint, and it being an Indian place, I was surprised to find their rolls to be rather Pakistani in taste. We tried the Beef and Chicken rolls, and both were quite good and spicy. A bit over-priced, though. I asked for a plain paratha for my toddler, and they charged me $3 for just that! Their masala chai was excellent though, and so was the mango lassi. Do try it out when in New York and craving for some good desi-style rolls!

IF you are looking for tasty Indian food on the go.. this is the place. It is located close to the Times Square around the corner on a busy 39th Street. They offer a tasty twist on Indian food. Flaky Indian paratha roll with a variety of stuffings ranging from humble potato to the chicken and minced lamb, shrimps etc. We ordered shami kabab rolls alongwith mango lassi which was very refreshing. The food is cheap considering the prices in Ney York. The restaurant is open until midnight which is good to satisfy your midnight hunger pangs. Definitely recommend for the food taste.

Thats was great Expreirnce with them we will be back soon to eat in thats restaurant ... meat was tender!!

My wife and I had the chicken tikka and the shrimp options on Parantha - Although I found mine a little salty and they both could have done with a bit more spice - they were very tasty and convenient

A good place for a casual bite. When I visited, the place was pretty busy- especially with Door Dash type couriers. The rolls are filling and pretty affordable for NY. I thought they were tasty but, honestly, only one of the two rolls I ordered was memorable (the chicken tikka). Overall, a decent place for a good bite close to Bryant park.

This place is the closest to the street food in Kolkata. I would recommend the Veg Mix and Aloo Masala roll. I was here on a weekend and the waiting time was 30 mins.

Not a lot to say about this place. It's a fairly small menu. Only a couple of things that my wife and I would want to eat, but what we did get was delicious. considered going back before we left new york but ran out of time.

Visited here from Sydney, Australia & was amazed with the taste of the food, tastes like the home cooked meals my late father used to make for me. Wish there was a franchise like this in Australia.

Been here a few times. Good for a snack and specially if you feel like a Indian snack. The potato masala roll and paneer achari are good. I seem to have lost couple of pictures i had taken. Food quality is good, service is average, value for money is good. I will recommend others. I am already feeling hungry while writing this review..... ;)

I don't like the Indian spicy . One of my best friend told me that Kati roll has sandwiches better then the sandwich in India . I tried it it so Ymmmmy

I have been eating the same aloo masala and veggie kati roll, atleast once a week for a year now.. Never bored.. Try it, you will love the rolls. For the carnivorously inclined, Kosha Mangsho has received rave reviews from people in the know!

This is a great concept. Really tasty wraps, was very pleased to see this branch in New York as I have been to the London branch a few times. Good luck with the business, hope to see more branches soon.

Awesome Kati rolls especially the shrimp with coconut milk yummy! Great after concert & shows food to indulge and enjoy!

We got a referral for this place while at a rooftop bar nearby, we were looking for affordable yummies. We took the short walk over and were NOT disappointed. There is seating in the front, then the counter, then some more seating in the back. Also has a bathroom. there is a to-go cooler that even has beer (Kingfisher brand)! We got the Chicken Tikka roll, The Achari Paneer roll, and the Shrimp Masala roll. Chicken Tikka is not saucy like chicken Tikka Masala- but the chicken is well marinated and grilled. The naan wrap is AMAZING!! The Shrimp Masala roll is a juicy creamy must try! Again, nothing like Tikka Masala. The Achari Paneer roll was also amazing- the cheese curds were delish!

My mom and sister picked up Lamb Kati Rolls which were the best I ever had! Definitely will get these again. Highly Recommended! Check out The Kati Roll Company today, you'll be glad you did!

Cute, quaint restaurant with the best masala chai. If you’re vegetarian, the spicy paneer is a must. If you’re non-veg, the lamb or chicken chicken is great.

We were in NYC for some work. Ordered takeout kati rolls from here, but the quality of the kati rolls is not good. I have eaten form here many times. This times was bad. - The bread was very oily - Cottage cheese was not marinated properly, and not grilled - The guy calling out token numbers and handing out orders had a glove in one hand but used the uncovered hand to pack and pick up food items. - overall service quality is poor; when compared to even some dunkin donut or a 7/11 stores. - I have eaten authentic kathi rolls in India; the ones here need to be better prepared, cooked and served. The interior design is the same; basic and lacking any exciting character. We will not eat here again.

When in to Kati Roll after a few drinks out in the city. With no expectations. However the food and the service changed my views. The service was very friendly and the flavours of the rolls where really good and identical to what you would get if you were in Mumbai. The price is very reasonable too.

After all the bar hopping and drinks. This is a great place to end the night. The rolls are $5-$6. They have vegetarian options as well. The chicken tikka khati roll and the achari aloo roll were amazing. They take credit cards and have places to sit. It looks like an old Indian Dabba. It was nice!

Every time I go to NYC and am in the vicinity, I stop by for the Kati Rolls, I have taken loads of friends along and everyone loves it... The Egg Chicken roll is my favourite, but there are more choices... small, cosy, and absolutely authentic... I will continue going here whenever I can manage.

This is one of my go to places for a quick bit to eat everytime I'm in Times Square. It's walking distance from all the major hotels and the food is very inexpensive. I usually go for the Chicken Tikka Roll or the Unda Aloo Roll which are out of this world delicious. The prep time is pretty fast as well and you can watch the people handling your food. They usually have a line depending on when you go since it is very popular with the locals.

Had the achari paneer roll a couple of days ago. Was ok not impressed - didn't get any green peppers / onions or any Grilled Veges as it used to be in the original joint on bleeker st. Crumbled Paneer and a bunch of green mint chutney was all a bit gooey... OK I guess if u want a quick bite and cheap place near Times Sq to kill time! The rear area was musty and smelled of the loo.. Ugh

Great Indian food that works like the Mexicans enjoy their succulent tacos as either a snack or a meal. A delicious solutions to quench a hunger moment. Had the Tikka roll and will try the other ones on my next trip to NY.

Marinated meats with savory Indian spices, cheap but really good. Carry out or stay inside if you can grab a table.

Love the food Here healthy, tasty and looks good. Need to make your choices. Early People are pleasent and lunch is a deli get. Go for a change of pace you will love it there.

The kati rolls are so versatile and very options. Now there are rice bowls too. Great for ordering lunch in for a company. Just found out they have a Pop-Up booth with staff that one can rent for parties. Love that!

The fast food place has a large variety of Kati Rolls at very reasonable prices. Food quality is average but the restaurant is very popular due to inexpensive fast food. Decor is nothing to brag about.

This branch of The Kati Roll Company is located close to Times Square. They have a bunch of vegetarian kati rolls. We got the Achari Paneer Roll, Chana Masala Roll, and Mixed Veggie Roll, which were all good. It gets busy during meal times, so take that into account. The closest subway stop is Times Square–42nd Street/Port Authority Bus Terminal for lines 1, 2, 3, 7, A, C, E, N, Q, R, and W.

Fun and tasty experience! If you do not look like an Indian person, you might feel like a tourist stepping into an Indian shop at the other edge of the world for a minute. This seems like a good sign as it would indicate that the food sold there is authentic! We tried several kinds of rolls: both vegetarian and non vegetarian. All were good and filling. They were open late at night, which is perfect on weekends for hungry partying people. There were no available seats as the place was completely full so we ate while standing and then left. Great place for take-away! Do not hesitate to try it!

Great place, everyone is very friendly, and working together.Food is so delicious and fresh. They are serving hot rolls and smell good.

We dropped by Kati Roll for a quick bite to eat. There is a list of delicious-sounding rolls; they're a bit cheaper if you buy two of the same. We were surprised to see beef rolls. The counter was busy. We had heard that the mango lassi was good here, so we tried it (it is). It is not in the beverage case; it has to be ordered at the counter. The five rolls (all different) arrived on two plates, with nothing to indicate which roll was which, so we had to do some unwrapping. Even then it was difficult to tell until we tried them, so we ended up switching the rolls as we discovered what they were, but the meat eater in our group discovered he liked the vegetarian roll. Two rolls were filling, but they were a little too oily for us. Five rolls and three mango lassi brought the total past $40. The seating area is very basic.

It's ritual for us to visit one of their locations whenever we are in NYC ever since we had it first time 3 yrs ago. It's the closest Indian Food flavor I've found in US. And the fact that they have 4 Vegetarian Options, makes it all the more tempting for us. Our personal best is Mix Veg Roll cz of its spice level, others are in the following order of my liking Aloo Paneer Chole The staff at this particular location was extremely good. We visited on the day of the storm last week, and they were winding up early. We were lucky to have got last 2 rolls they had. As a courtesy and so they don't have to wait on us, we went out to eat, the lady at the counter not only called us inside , but was friendly to talk as well..

Over two days ate at two of their locations. Tried 5 different wraps all of them were great. The Chicken Kebab was the best one. Kesar Pista Lassi was great as well not too sweet.

This place is amazing, very classic. I just love the kathi rolls, they have the right amount of everything. I am in NJ and whenever I am driving through Manhattan or towards NY, I will make a detour specifically to get kathi roll from here!! MUST MUST MUST haves

Disclosure - I am from Kolkata, Bengal, India where Kati roll was born, bred, matured, perfected and rolled out to the world. Hence this would always be a litmus test for this eating joint. Inspite, I think they pass with flying colors. I was visiting NYC for 4 days and 2 dinners and 1 lunch I had in this place. Partly because it reminded me of home and partly because (small part) they were 4 blocks from my hotel on 35th St. I tried all the rolls, the best for me was anda roll (egg) and the anda shami roll. The fillings were generous in portion, really good in taste (excellent per NYC standards) and filling enough. Improvement - in Kolkata, they make the roll much more crunchier when they fry it in oil, though that means a lot more oil (and fatty and bit more unhealthy!), but that's the separation between brilliant and really good. So, I am completely sold on Katt Roll Co when in NYC and would visit them every single time I am in NYC. But if they had a branch in Park St, Kolkata, they would have had up their game quite a bit in order to be competitive. In summary, great quick bite place in NYC and would be in my must-visit list of eateries in NYC.

I wanted to try some kati rolls when I was in NYC and, I picked this place. The first thing I noticed about this place was the ambience which makes you feel like you're in India. I ordered takeout for a Aloo Masala Roll and a Chana Masala Roll. The restaurant had other orders so, there was a wait for mine. I liked the flavor of the Aloo Masala Roll but, the Chana Masala Roll was a let down. The chickpeas were half cooked. They have a few vegetarian options making this place vegetarian friendly. All the dishes on their menu are cheap. They are located on W 39th St. It's easy to miss this place if you're walking on the same side of the restaurant. This is good place for cheap eats.

I started with the village location and now frequent this spot because it’s close to work. They are consistent and provide the closest version of a Kati Kebab that I remember from growing up in Calcutta.

A famous place in NYC. Mostly a grab and go kind of place but they do have a few tables and chair if you wish to sit down for a meal. From the number of people waiting in line, I could tell it must be good. And they didn't disappoint. For vegeterains, you have 4 options: Aloo, Panner, Mix veggie and Channa. You order at the counter and then wait for your order number to be called out. Expect 20-30 minutes of waiting.

Authentic Kathi rolls. The lines are not that long, and the kathi rolls are just what you expect. Highly recommended...

My sister was went that restaurant.. She ordered 1.unda chicken roll, 7.20$ 2.chicken momos,6.99$ 3. Two type of chatni,1.25$ But The waiter Mr brown hair added diet Cocacola which price are 1.75$ Plus tax 1.5$ total bill 18.72$ ..Ok my sister thought maybe that guy is busy that’s why he did mistake..her order number was 82…she waiting last 30 minutes no body call 82..she asked, sir where is my food?? that stupid brown hair waiter said are you waiting for food??? My sis showed the bill slip 82 Order number..he said ooo I didn’t take your order..my sis said so why you take 18$ from me & why give me this token bill slip??? that stupid waiter said, give more 5minutes very rudely & he give momos with out chatni & she was ordered & pay for money Coca Cola & 2 extra chatni but this stupid given nothing no chatni no Coca Cola …very very bad service..waiters behaviour are very rude…service just worst…food was ok…

Have been here twice while on work visits. Quick service. Menu is just the rolls, but I've tried several and all are tasty and inexpensive. There is some seating, but many opt for takeout.

Don’t get me wrong. Food is great. The only star is for the food. We have been to this 39th street location near Bryant Park quite a lot in past few months. No question about the taste. The rolls taste great. 4 stars for that. Not 5 because their bowls are not good, lassi is also watery. The unda aloo and unda Shammi rolls are great. Actually this location is better than the other two we tried. I am pissed off with the staff rudeness today. We ordered online and reached there. There weren’t any line, not much people. So we asked the staff if our online order is ready. She asked the name, checked something and started doing her stuff. Acknowledge the people. Acknowledge your customers. Why the rudeness. Am I supposed to just stare at the staff!!!!! Atleast say no we need this much amount of time l. Etc Anyways we waited till 2:14 which was the delivery time. Then we asked again. Again the same response. Learn some manners. If we are not welcome here I don’t care. We can eat somewhere else.

Ate one of the lamb kati (apologies for not stating the complete name) and a potato as well. Both good, lamb better. I don't know what ingredients are used for the dough but roll itself is fantastic. A melt in your mouth softness yet it is not tacky or sticks to fingers. Plenty of young people from the subcontinent in line. A very good sign.

Rolls are street food stuff. But here they have taken it to different level. Value for money. Tried the Unda Aloo roll. Cud not be better. Their Masala Chai as they boast is real desi. Surely visit again

Don't expect great food because of price . But for price u pay have to considered.if u are in hurry to grab a piece and move for lesser price it is the place

Chicken and Egg roll were good. Didn't like Mutton roll though. Sitting area is really pathetic and very limited so would suggest to take Go To.

I have had several of my meals as well as quick bites at this place. The rolls have always tasted great and are a close match to the rolls we get in India. The place is value for money and is open till late night. Though they have always maintained a rustic look, but over the years the ambience has deteriorated substantially. Nonetheless, if you are in or around Times Square you should surely give this place a try.

Its obviously not as authentic or spicy as the ones back home but pretty comparable. For vegetarians the Paneer one is better than the Aloo one.

Best thing that I loved was that strong Tea in the heavy rain. Just got me nostalgic. And the kathi roll , just delicious.

The Kati Roll (new concept to me) is a must try. We stopped in for dinner on the go. We had Chicken Tikka, Beef Tikka and Kosha Mangsho Roll. We were wowed by the flavors. We don't typically visit fast-food Indian restaurants. This an order at the counter joint. It's small. It has about a dozen seats around five or six small tables. It does a lot of take out. The menu is small --- it sticks to their specialty. One roll is probably good for lunch. I had two for dinner. My wife had one for dinner. This is small chain. A great place to grab a quick lunch or late-night food or dinner on the run. We'll eat here again.

Yum!.... Stumbled on this place by accident (it certainly doesn't look like anything special on the outside) - please don't let that fool you. The service was fast and the food was delicious. I so wish I lived locally, I'd be here for lunch every day! A great place for a lunchtime snack.... And a nice lace to pick up a take out to enjoy with friends over a few beers.

Tiny place with 4-5 tables. Mostly a take-away joint. Right next to Madison Square Gardens. The rolls are super yum especially the Channa masala roll. It's the best of all the vegetarian ones. The rolls are not spicy at all so you can tell them to add green chillies. Have eaten at the London KRC too but this one's far better. We made sure to stop back again on our way to the airport, just before leaving NYC :)

Been there twice in the last few days! Decent food, lassi was very good. Tried paneer roll, egg chicken roll and egg lamb roll. Not much masala, just the balance with the touch of Indian flavours. I did asked for hot sauce, but it was just normal. Few blocks from Times Square...7 mins walk. You can pause for a while in the near by Bryant park! Give it a try!

I wish they had one of these where we live. We ate here twice in a short two day trip. Will definitely be back. They had tasty rolls, quick service, and decent prices. It seemed like a popular lunch spot and great to grab and go because they come all neatly wrapped and can be held in your hand.

The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. It is a fast food restaurant with limited seating, but the food is easy to eat on the go.

These little "Indian Burritos" are tasty and not too spicy, but beware that they are more of a snack than a meal. Buy a couple of them and perhaps a Mango Lassi if you want a meal!

Whats good - nice rolls and variety of options, pair it with Mango Lassi Prefer to take out and have it in near by Bryant Park Reason for not giving 5 star is - no option for whole wheat or other flavor of 'paratha' or rolls.

I was looking for a quick dinner in the area and remembered that I had the Kati Roll Company so I decided to give it a try. My boyfriend and I shared the unda chicken roll and unda shami roll. The chicken was great. It had a nice flavor and the meat was tender/perfectly cooked. The shami (lamb?) was a bit dry and gamey. Both of the rolls were laden with grease. So while they are on the smaller side, after you eat one, your stomach will be so bogged down with oil that you won't even want another. I also got the mango lassi, which for the small bottle, was not worth the price tag. You're better off getting a soda. At least the bubbles in it might help cut some of the grease. Glad I tried this place because now I won't have to come back.

Delicious wraps with a kick to them. Love to go for a quick carry out lunch. Fast service and visual menu board. Recommend!

I had heard about Kati Roll and was near the shop so decided to check it out. I ordered the paneer roll, and the menu said it was spicy but the shop attendant said it was not. Overall, it was very good, not spicy but somewhat flavorful and not oily. a really good combination and delicious and convenient paratha roll

These Kati rolls are too tasty! you have to eat two of them which probably makes the whole situation unhealthy!

Ordered two rolls, the wait was very short and service friendly. The rolls were excellent. The fillings don't have as much sauce as you might expect from being named after various curries, but it does make them easier to eat. I wish I had some chutney or something to dip into. Overall very yum, would go back.

Very quick , affordable and delicious food. I had Shrimp Masala and it tasted authentic as it would taste in India. My son enjoyed their Anchari Paneer Roll. Will recommend this place for anybody visiting NYC.

had heard a lot about this place. but didn't like it so much. as my husband pointed out, since i have just arrived from India, may be i was expecting something too authentic, and need to re caliber my expectations.

We saw this spot near our hotel on our first sightseeing trip to NYC. We like to try all kinds of food and the rolls were perfect for sampling and walking around til our next food stop. Super flavorful and many varieties. We had spicy beef and grilled shrimp rolls with mango lassi. We went back again and the counter server remembered our order and the level of spice we wanted from the day before!

Not even close to the actual kati roll. They are crazy expensive. I won’t go there again at all. I ordered for egg and chicken rolls and it’s real waste of money. It even tasted bland.

Usually places like these tend to offer an alternate taste experience from the authentic ones, more to suit the international clientele that's likely to visit, but Kati Roll gets as close to the real thing as possible. Kosha Mangsho Roll was my personal favorite, but even the chicken and paneer rolls taste just like how you might back in India. The highlight though is the prepacked Lassi. Both the Mango and Mishti Doi were simply brilliant.

Enjoyed the food very much. The combination of variety of ingredients is delicious. Paneer roll a great choice for those avoiding meat, spicy but not overheated.

No trip is complete without a stop here. Kids love the undachicken, I had the Channa and Acharipaneer. Love the Taste and kick. My husband had the lamb comb n it was good too

Fast food that tastes like it took hours to make. I had the unda aloo roll, a paratha layered flatbread layered with griddled egg and then spicy potato. It is as yummy as it sounds. Very vegetarian friendly and this place makes Meatless Mondays easy. Recommend.

Well refined menu with enough variety for all customers. Great tasting food. Quick service. Friendly staff. Reasonable price. Hidden gem.

For a company that has made its name with Kathi Rolls...this is by no means the best and I have had better just a mile away...plus very child unfriendly...not worth it...

This was a great street food stop without the on the street feel. Drop in, pick up and roll out. My favorite one was the Veggie Roll. Nice flavor combination and a little bit sweet, which suits me just fine. The location is great but you've got to be looking for it. I passed it twice before I found it! I also like that the company owner is a woman of color and the very attentive staff was multicultural. The to go bags also had very much needed wet hand wipes- very necessary after a tasty Kati Roll!

Wanted to relive my schooling/university and youth days in Kolkata by experiencing the egg rolls and veggie rolls. Honestly, not the same, yet not bad. happy to locate something like this near home. Had to explain in Bengali to influence the chef to create something closer to the Kolkata touch and not run of the mill eggs broken on a ready paratha........,
Indian burritos!
This place is awesome! Several options but the lamb and the Chicken Uma (has a griddles egg added) are our favorites for sure. Meats are marinated and have a ton of flavor with just enough kick but not overly spicy. Great place to pick up a snack and go or eat a few as a meal.
