Appalling service

By SiobhanTaylor |

The worst service ever as guy called Ryan couldn’t have been more ruder and more unhelpful if he tried. Coming from the retail sector I understand the importance of customer service and rarely I review however it was that bad I feel I had to share, I don’t understand how come he is in this industry it obviously doesn’t suit him.

Irish Bar in the 36th Street

By World Trotter Here and Beyond |

The place is lively. This is an Irish pub and restaurant. They have variety in the menu. Staffs are really good. Food is delicious. Price is affordable. There are lots of televisions around the area. Bar is long and spacious. You will definitely enjoy the vibe when you’re here. I recommend this place to all!

Great food, atmosphere and Rangers on the TV

By Claire |

This was a great place to get some good beer and great food as well as watching the Rangers game! I was impressed with this find, it’s like the yard is inside with lots of seating and a good bar that was fully stocked! I’ll be hitting this bar again on my next trip to NYC!

Ideal for watching sports, drinking beer and eating snack food

By Rob H |

When you just want to hang out, watch the game, have a beer and some nachos, wings etc there is no better place to. Big TV screens everywhere, individual tables, longest bar I've ever seen, 40 draft beers, you name it. Even on a busy Sunday night the service was fast and efficient, the hostess friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back.

Great food.

By Ron B |

Best chicken wings I have ever had. The lamb was sensational. Service was attentive. A good atmosphere and if I come back to the city I will visit again.

Warm, friendly and homely.

By MrJonRD |

This is another hidden gem in midtown. The bar is like a bigger version of ‘Cheers’ and considering its position in midtown, has somehow managed to create a homely and cosy vibe. The food is outstanding, we had burgers and steaks ans fish and chips on our visits - all were perfectly cooked and great quality and value for money. We were served on both occasions by Masha (going by our receipt) and she is the most amazing waitress. Constantly on the go, smiling, happy, warm and personable - she made a huge impression on us, and it was a pleasure to talk with her too, she even educated me that it’s a Check, not a Bill and loved the ridiculous Britishness!!! We couldn’t recommend anywhere else to go - so if you’re in midtown go and visit them!

The Keg

By Trudy K |

Absolutely loved this place. Had dinner and lunch while in New York. The staff were so lovely. Would highly recommend. From Waterford, Ireland

Regular pub serving American food

By Steve Lewis |

Service is great and waiter will nicely take care of you You feel the Irish pub atmosphere even if there might be too many tv screens to my taste. Food is average

Gorgeous food

By sunshine190728 |

A lovely Irish bar that was over the road from the hotel we were staying in, friendly staff, gorgeous food exactly what you want when you visit the big Apple.

Great atmosphere & food!

By bethbk777 |

Wanted Irish food, specifically shepherds pie, and after googling reviews of various places in the city we actually picked this place (which was literally across the street from our hotel)! Our server was very friendly & attentive. The hot chips appetizer was good and the shep pie was extremely good! Great atmosphere!

Easy

Food was ok here for our first night as not wanting to go far from our hotel in the next block. Service was good.

Food at the Keg Room

By Lynda M |

We ate here as a family of 4 adults, the food was OK but we felt rushed, we had not finished our starters and they came with the main, they whipped the food away and my daughter had not finished. The menu stated a service charge of 20% would be added if there were 6 or more people, we were a table of 4 and they charged 20%, I paid it but was really annoyed.

Brilliant Food

By Nick G |

Evening meal. Bar is just across from where we are staying. They managed to find us a table as a walk in even though they were nearly full. Food was brilliant, good size portions. Would visit again if in NYC.

Thanksgiving

By Char |

We stumbled across the place on thanks giving and we are so glad we did! We were welcome from the get go. This place is so warm and friendly. We sat down and our serve Ryan was so pleasant. We ordered the thanks giving dinner which was just absolutely lovely. We were so happy to find somewhere with reasonable prices and good food! Will definitely be back here again.

Thieves

By Jack S |

I went to purchase 2 beers from this horrible establishment durning this pandemic trying to support a local business. I made my purchase on a Tuesday. The money was taken out my account that day. I left the city shopped and supported other eatery’s and bars where I was and had not one problem. I come back to the city on Saturday morning to get an alert that I was CHARGED AGAIN THE SAME AMOUNT I WAS CHARGED ON TUESDAY!!! At the time of the charge the bar was CLOSED!!!! Do NOT SOEND YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR PARTONISM IS NOT APPRECIATED AND YOUR NOT RESPECTED FIR SUPPORTING A BUSINESS DURING THIS HARD TIME. I should have just went to AN ESSENTIAL BUSINESS SUCH AS A Drug store TO PURCHASE BEER!!! I hope you get shut down you THIEVES

Irish sportbar

By Peter L |

We went here to grab a quick dinner. We ended up having a burger and it was quite good. I guess what you would expect at a sportbar like this. Service was fast and friendly and prices are fair. We also went back after a Rangers hockey game for a beer. Since I am a Guinness guy this place is a great place for that.

Great bar with really friendly staff.

By gavman99 |

Stopped in for some lunch today before heading back to Scotland. Got seated at the bar and had the lovely Megan serve us. Food and drinks really good but made even better by chatting with Megan. Great to speak to someone who is down to earth about life living in NYC. We’ll definitely swing by next time we’re in town !

Awesome bar/restaurant

By James C |

I recently went into The Keg Room after work. I have to say definitely one the best bar/restaurants. I've ever visited. It was clean well kept. Huge place lots of room. The food was amazing and the bar was stocked. They had plenty of daily specials great variety definitely something for everyone. The staff was great greeted walking in and when I left. Great bartending staff. Was served by Colm very knowledgeable and friendly. Had plenty of suggestions. I was definitely impressed and will be telling everyone I know. I absolutely recommend this place and plan on making it a local.

Great!

By ERCauswell |

Great food and service. Highly recommend. Bartenders are friendly and accommodating. Try the quesadillas, you'll be glad you did.

Good food, good beer

By jls522 |

This place was across the street from our hotel and we checked it out around 9pm on a Friday night after a full day of sightseeing. The bar area was crowded, but we were able to get a quieter table toward the back. The service was quick and friendly and the food was delicious! Will go back if I stay in that area again!

Brilliant

By davidrobinson01 |

Fantastic place. Made to feel very welcome sat at the bar for drinks (great selection) and decided to have some bar snacks, the wings are awesome. Only in New York for 3 days and stumbled upon this place first day needless to say this I the place I have chosen to go back to on my last night

Beautiful food

By Sean Kennedy |

Dined and had drinks at the Keg Room on three occasions while on a recent visit to New York, the food and service was excellent, we would definitely recommend this bar to anyone on a visit to the big apple.

Fantastic Sports Bar

By Screv W |

We met some friends here, from my hometown, that I had not seen in 20 years. We picked this place to meet and did not regret it . Football, sports everywhere. Fantastic Beer and wonderful speciality cocktails. Nice service and seating. My only complaint is that they did not point out to me that service charge was included for my group until I had already added additional tip and was ready to leave when I had already written in my tip amount. I just left tip but would have liked to have been told that at beginning. Yet, even with that, it was fantastic place for a game watching dinner and drinks.

Whatever you do donned go

By John W |

Whatever you do donned go here to eat Nice place for a drink Nice staff But the food is not good Go to Andrews coffee shop instead 😁

Lucky Find

By mda41582 |

We just happened along this restaurant on our walk back to our hotel. The food and service were great! I had the fish & chips and my husband had a burger.

Excellent food, drinks and deserts!

By KarenC |

Excellent food and service for our group as everyone said their entrees where excellent and the desert i had called the Exotic Bomba , which is passion fruit, mango, and rasberry sorbet dipped in a white choclate shell was a perfect ending to our meal. I highly recommend this restaurant which is in the Manhattan New York area.

Nice Irish pub

By jsfmiller |

I don't have a large experience with Irish pubs, having only visited a handful, but this one would give them a good name. A bit larger than a pub, this restaurant does have a variety of items on the menu and a nice selection of appetizers too. We visited here twice and did dinner the first time and appetizers and drinks the second and I would have to say that both experiences were quite good. Located right across from our hotel, I couldn't knock location either.

Rude and dismissed our reservation

By Michelle A |

We made our reservation on Friday via Open Table but when we arrived Saturday we were told that they hadn’t written it down on a piece of paper so they didn’t have a table for us (this doesn’t even make sense to me). They could see the reservation on Open Table but said there was nothing they could do. Really? Disappointing. This was a la Seinfeld where they took the reservation but didn’t hold the reservation. And they were extremely rude and uncaring about it. We took our business elsewhere where they were happy to have us.

terrible owners.

By Jamie R |

had a steak, asked for medium rare. was tough as nails. friends had mozerella sticks that came burnt, and the buffalo wings also came burnt, waitress threw a drink on me and expected me to pay for it. Then the owner asked me to leave later in the evening for quote 'socialisizing to much'. I would suggest looking elsewhere on 36th street. plenty of bars where customer service is understood.

Really American 🍺👍

By John S |

Delicious beers and delicious food buffalo wings with sweet chili sauce👍 atmosphere completely American🍺🍻🍺

Happy hour “drinks”

By Mary culovic |

I came here after work for a drink. I work close by and thought it would be a great happy hour spot as it was fairly busy and had good specials. I ordered a glass of wine and then wanted to close out because I was only gonna have one drink. The bartender then informed me that I had to leave it open because they had a “2 drink minimum”, so I reluctantly left my tab open. I sat at the bar for about 20 minutes just relaxing sipping my wine when another patron came up and ordered ONE drink.... when asked if she was wanted to close it she said yes and without a problem the bartender closed it. I have worked in the service industry for 10 years and I understand if a bar has a policy of a minimum but I don’t think it is fair at all to pick and choose when to enforce it. Needless to say, I won’t be back to this bar. I take service very seriously and this was not the correct way to go out it.

Food is excellent!

By Kel H |

On our holiday to New York we decided that we could call in and were very impressed with both the selection of beers and the food available. We ordered the fish and chips and we were not disappointed! The fish was lovely and was definitely worth the money. Not only were the fish and chips delightful, we then went on to order their ‘big chocolate cake’ which definitely lives up to its name and also tastes great. Overall we had a very positive and relaxing experience visiting The Keg Room.

Very Nice Atmosphere at NBA East Finals!

By mamaguilo |

Nice Pub - NBA East Final’s and the vibe at NY was fantastic Nerman IPA from Coney Island is the beer choice! If you like a Pilsen you can choose Urquell - the best one Fish & Chips is good enough

Friendly and clean pub.

By fmb85 |

Had some drinks at the bar, really friendly staff and good selection of drinks. Usual Irish pub decor, large and spacious, plenty of screens and spotlessly clean toilets.

A night out

By Deldos |

Really enjoyed this place, went for dinner with my wife, the atmosphere so good we stayed for drinks.

Great atmosphere and food

By rkmkeller |

Food was outstanding—had burger one night and wings the next—-my wife had the turkey blt and it was fantastic as well Staff reflects the owner and so friendly and welcoming Might have a third night as well

Excellent

By Paul T |

I have visited most of the Irish pubs in the area and this one is my favorite. The atmosphere is fun but not too loud, there are many TV screens to watch games, the service is fast and friendly, the food comes out very quickly and is always delicious. There are many beer options on tap. The prices are reasonable too for NYC. I will keep coming back for the bangers and mash and my wife loves the nachos. A great pre-show pit stop, I would definitely recommend.

Cool place

By Gail D |

Fun and friendly pub with good food and great atmosphere. We had the nachos and they were delish and crispy chips. Many TVs and visible from any seat. Michele and Erica were extremely pleasant and quick with the drink great place to relax and catch up with friends.

Great Irish Bar

By Navigator609211 |

Visited a couple of times whilst staying in a nearby hotel. It had great atmosphere, the staff were helpful and friendly and the food was really good and at a reasonable price. Would definitely return if in the city again.

Everything is perfect here.

By Guido M |

I discovered the place and immediately fell in love. I love the interior and I was really overwhelmed with the varietey of beers and whiskeys. The food was good too. Plus everybody is friendly here, don't matter how busy it is - Mary, the owner, but also Connor and Column, the (Irish!) bartendes! And what I really appreciate is their honesty: when you order a beer, they sometimes tell you, "nah, I wouldn'get that one" ... so you order something else. They are not desperately trying to sell you stuff. And they really know what kind of products they have!

Guiness and grub

By weemo86 |

Great pub for a pint of the Guiness and the food is top notch as well. Pretty lively pub and you get authentic Irish music

Let down for lunch

By Neilo |

Place looks nothing special from outside but enter and it’s an amazing place to grab a drink/food - loads of character and tv screens if your a sports fan. Three of us had the Guiness stew “special”, which was disappointing and may have been better if it was much warmer and had a bit more flavour. The mash potato was a bit tasteless as well. Our fourth friend had a burger and said it was amazing and we saw what looked and amazing sandwich and fries at the next table to us. So I would like to think this was not the usual standard of food. I would give it another chance if I was in the area so don’t let this put you off!

Great bar

By Mike R |

This is a great bar for a lonely business traveller. I popped in a couple of times whilst I was staying at a nearby hotel. There is plenty of choice of beer on draft for the craft beer enthusiast. The food was good (if standard). I was there a Monday and Tuesday night and the place wasn't crowded but also didn't feel empty. Overall a good place for a late drink after a hard day.

Recommended by hotel staff

By littleyacht |

This bar/restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel staff when we needed a late meal as somewhere they went close by. Plenty of beer choices. Typical bar food offerings with a few entrees thrown in, but it was all good. My husband was hungry. Me, not so much. We both found something on the menu to satisfy us. We both would go back. Our waitperson was probably new because they had to check on several menu questions, but they were friendly and very helpful. Like most bars in NY, the kitchen closes before the bar does, so check hours first if you are looking for food.

The Keg Room

By LoveTravel485134 |

Yesterday I went to Keg Room to buy a take-out burger for my wife. when I opened the box and made the first bite, I spat out everything !!!! (((((It was a burnt piece of minced meat. The cook and the waiter knew that I would not come and throw this muck in their face

Roomy area and happy atmosphere

By Sheila F |

I would give this establishment 4.75 stars if I could. I’ve been here twice in the past week and am sure I will be back. I love the tall ceilings and spacious seating. They serve large portion, very tasty meals. There is a nice variety of choices on the menu. There are lots of TVs if you are there to watch sports. The only negative I have is that the waitress said they don’t normally split alcoholic beverages from the bill. I would think this is a common request for people in town on business. With that being said she did it for me and the waitress the second visit split it without mentioning it being an issue.

Good service and food

By jeanne1513 |

Great chicken quesadillas! The restaurant was crowded, but service was still fast and friendly. Would return here.

Excellent bar

By Alberto A |

Excellent bar, food and staff and bartender are great. Tonight they had buy a Stella get an engraved Stella mug. Really cool and interesting

Waitress remembered us!

By Charley44 |

Eighteen months ago, we ate dinner here after an exhausting family visit. This time, we took the entire family. We were lucky enough to have the same waitress as before: Masha. She actually remembered us, even remembered what we ordered! We showed her our prior review, and the manager stopped by to greet us and thank us for returning. Food, service, prices were appropriate and continued to be excellent. While our party was large, orders were taken and the food for the 2 very young children was delivered almost immediately (which made the dining experience even better). Obviously, we plan to go again, but not wait 18 months.

Quick dinner needed!

By Kaye |

Burger and chips, simple bar meals. Asked for no salad, they came with both lettuce and tomato. Chicken sliders and chips. Good size portions. Reasonable service. Waitress pointed out that service had already been added which was good if her as tipping is very much expected in NYC

Evening meal

By June M |

Typical bar food, good portions, fresh produce. Value for money in New York. Fast efficient service, staff friendly

Decent Food and Atmosphere

By CapDeathCarpet |

This bar has a good rating on Tripadisor so we thought we'd give a try after a long days travel to NYC and it was close to our hotel. Our vaccination status's were checked at the door by a very disinterested greeter but a more senior person then came and took over, once cleared to enter we were seated quickly. The menu is quite large but being tired we opted for something that didn't take too much thought - we had dips and wings to start followed by sliders. The good was good although our server wasn't wearing a mask. The place was nicely decorated for Christmas and seems to be good for a few drinks and food.

You little beauty!

By Ryszard L |

I stumbled across this place as it was just across the road from the Best Western Premier Herald Square Hotel where I was staying. I'd been traipsing around the city all day and was cold and hungry and didn't fancy walking all the way back to Little Italy. I was quickly shown to a table, a little bit towards the back but in a cosy nook near an open fire. I was quickly seen to by the delightful Masha who gave me a menu and took my order for a beer and after perusing the menu I settled for the corned beef dinner. A place that does the simple things well is always up for a gold star in my book. Well, I didn't have to wait long, this despite the place being packed. The beef was exquisite, the cabbage was very tasty with a mash which was really creamed potatoes covered in a superb white parsley sauce. Divine. Made all the better by the service I had from Masha. The décor and atmosphere really made me want to stay longer but I was exhausted and wanted to sleep. Luckily I didn't have far to go. All up, it cost me $40, including tip. Needles to say, I was there the following evening as well. The décor and atmosphere are truly comforting and welcoming. I can thoroughly recommend this place and, if you're lucky, you'll be served by the incomparable Masha - I don't know what they pay her but it's not enough. And the same goes for the cooks!

Rude bartender

By Faisal A |

The bartender (don’t know his name but he has big tattoo in his arm) was so rude. I order nachos & he brought them to me with meat. I indicated that I’m a vegetarian & would appreciate nachos without meat, he held the plate, throw it away with anger and said “you should’ve asked. This is stupid, so stupid.” Asked for my money to leave & he refused.

Great range of beers, in a cracking location

By Julian C |

We visited on a busy Christmas shopping evening and the city was packed with people!! This was like an oasis of calm and quality beers. No issues with the staff, all busy but friendly enough!

Awful, rude staff

By Michelle |

Me and my daughter visited this bar last week. Popped in for a couple of glasses of wine. Used my card to pay. I prefer to tip in cash at the END of my visit. The bill was put on the bar which i signed. Rude barman with curly hair and tattoos looked at the bill, scrunched it up and threw it in the bin quite aggressively. When trying to order the next round we waited around 15 minutes at the bar with card in hand. The staff deliberately ignored us, serving people either side of us who’d just arrived. Eventually i caught the bar staffs eye, i girl called Megan, i said ‘is it possible to get served please’. She shouted over ‘yea we’ll get to you soon, we look after the tippers first’. I understand tipping is a big thing in the USA but surely the customer chooses when to tip AND personally i only tip good service, not rude, obnoxious , entitled bar tenders. We didnt expect to leave feeling humiliated , needless to say we didnt stay for a 2nd drink.

Buzzing!

By KokoLB |

This is a noisy place with a great atmosphere. We went here several times usually fairly early, about 5-6 pm. The food is mostly pub food but very good. Some more sophisticated items are available. The beer and wine was great and with the sports on the big screens we had a great time each visit. TIP order from the happy hour drinks menu it can save you a couple of dollars.

Great food and English Premier League

By Ray M |

Great sports bar and restaurant. The fish and chips was great. The nicest fish I have had in quite some time.

Great find for a late dinner

By Brenda D |

We stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for a something open on a Sunday night. We were very happy with our find. We had a great server who was patient (we arrived only 30 minutes prior to the kitchen closing) and friendly and lots of fun. The food portions were plentiful and delicious. Great find!

Great value and service

By Cruiser377456 |

We only popped in here as the rain dampened our ambitions to venture further from our hotel. However everything about the place was really good. We got a warm welcome as soon as we came in and the service was prompt and friendly. The chicken wings were real meaty wings with a hot sauce and both our burgers were juicy and tasty. On top of that I had a great big Paulaner draft beer for just $6. I ended up drinking 3 of them. A bit of a find and great food and drink for very reasonable money. I would definitely come back.

Late Sunday Night after Rockettes

By Holmes Medical Museum |

Arrived 30 minutes before kitchen closed on Sunday night. My daughter a craving for ribs. I wasn't too hungry so I ordered Spinach and Onion Rings. I knew I would share some of her ribs. Everything was delicious. The waitress was delightful. Finished with a night cap. Atmosphere was charming. Friendly staff.

Nice Big bar

By Salexander99 |

I only drank here so I have no opinion on the food. The bar is nice and big with plenty of TV's to watch a game. They had a nice selection of beers on tap as well as a full bar. If you're looking for a place to watch a game, i recommend this place.

Great Spot for Casual Dinner

By John K |

If you are in the area of West 36th St. and seeking an eating establishment the Keg Room is an excellent suggestion. To start there are forty beers on tap and a selection of 40 bottled beers. The menu is extensive, had the French Onion soup, hot potato chips and Fried Fish Trio. All dishes were excellent, service was quick, and prices (for New York City) were very reasonable. If you can arrive early it does crowd up fast in the evening, or better yet call ahead and reserve a table

Fast food average quality

By boromark19 |

Visited on a Friday evening in September. Very busy but still manged to take our order and serve us in less than 20 minutes. Not a good sign normally. This proved to be the case as the food was average to say the best.

Great service

By JohnKFC1869 |

We used this pub several times during a 5 day family holiday to NYC It was only 50 yards from our hotel. We ate here a couple of times and had drinks on another couple of occasions. We just expected the food to be ok but it was much better than that. Very pleasantly surprised. Service was also generally very good, and special mention to Aidan who is a great asset to the Keg Room. We are very likely to visit here again next time we come to NYC.

A great place to wind up at the end of the day!

By JerseyJoe00 |

I was staying at the Best Western hotel across the street. After a long day of doing the basic tourist things, I would come back to the hotel and just relax for an hour or so. Around 10 or so, I would feel like getting a drink (I am Irish so this feeling comes naturally). I would just head across the street to this bar. The atmosphere was friendly and the bartenders were great. One day I needed to eat at someplace close by since I had to get to the theater (American Utopia) at eight. I ate dinner here. I had the salmon. It was good and the portion was a decent size. If you are staying in the area, this is a great place to go to.

A great bar - worth a visit

By maeshowe |

I visited New York as part of a group, and this bar was across the street from our hotel. We came here every night for a drink, and a few nights we ate here - the food was so good! Great selection of beers and spirits to choose from. There are many large screens showing different sports too. If I visit New York in the future, I would definitely come here again.

Excellent food/ COVID safety precautions

By DiscerningDiner |

Our first outdoor dining experience during Phase 3 of NYC's re-opening was to The Keg Room. Aside from the usual delicious food and new frozen drinks their adherence to safety measures made our time all the more enjoyable. Their wait staff was as attentive as always and they have beautifully transformed their portion of W. 36th Street. A treat to have them open again! We will be back again soon.

So NOT Traditional Fish & Chips

By Heather H |

I was really disappointed in both their service and fish & chips. My food was delivered quickly, but the fish - which was one huge fillet, rather than the traditional pieces - was soggy on the underside and greasy, so it was not crispy. Consequently, the chips were also soggy. I was bummed! I did like the pineapple hard cider I ordered, but that was about it. The service was mediocre as no one came over to fill my water glass or to ask me if I needed/wanted anything until I'd finished eating. When someone did finally come over, she asked if everything was alright. When I replied that it was "okay" she didn't inquire if there was anything she could do. It was like she couldn't have cared less if I had enjoyed my meal. I didn't - and I won't ever go back.

Great Sports Bar

By Robert Z |

This is a more typical sports bar than Mcgettay's across the street. I rated it 5 stars also. Where McGettay's tends to be quieter, this has the sports bar vibe. The Keg's service is super and their food outstanding. The beer is cold and plentiful. TV's everywhere. Big place and can get quite crowded. If you like a good sports bar this is one of the best.

Good spot for late night drinks/food

By J H |

We found the Keg Room by accident - we were headed back to our hotel (nearby) after a Broadway show and just wanted someplace decent to eat and warm up a bit. The restaurant itself is large, with an enormous bar in the middle and probably a thousand TV sets (OK, that's a SLIGHT exaggeration - but there are a LOT). If you like big sports bars that also play music, this is probably your dream come true. (Although as a Devils fan, I was a little turned-off by all the Rangers memorabilia...but considering it's only a few blocks from MSG, I let it go.) It was around 11pm, so we ordered off the "late night" menu, which was limited. My wife's salad was good, but my beef nachos were superb. Seriously. I would have given this place 3 stars...but the nachos added a full star. It was a large portion, with lots of melted cheese, meat, veggies, and deliciously-crunchy chips. (I have an IG just for Nachos, so I know what I'm talking about!) The spumoni for dessert was also quite good. The staff was pleasant...although it took a reminder to bring my drink (the Fireball/ginger beer combo - delicious!). Bonus: at 11pm on a Saturday night, the men's bathroom was clean. That's quite an accomplishment! (I'm totally serious, folks.) Overall: I'd say it's an above-average sports bar. If you go, try the nachos - you'll thank me.

Lovely Bar With Lovely Staff

By The Trusty Trip Gal! |

We had been down in the Greenwich Village area and was walking back to Times Square when we came across this bar! We only called in for a drink but i instantly took a liking to the place! The drinks tasted good and the staff were very friendly! The bar has character and I really liked it!

Very disappointing

By Bishop866 |

Went for dinner based on the reviews on Tripadvisor and came away very disappointed. Portion sizes were poor (for the US), the quality was not to the standard we had encountered during the majority of our 4 week US trip and at the current exchange rate the prices were exorbitant (well over £100 for 1 appetiser, 2 entrees and 2 beers). The staff were ok, much less attentive and helpful than in other parts of the US, but ok. Our visit certainly did not reflect the views of others on here. If you enjoy watching 3 sports simultaneously on large TVs then its the place for you. If you want good quality, value for money dining then go elsewhere

Experience an Authentic Irish Pub

By Ter Ence |

The Keg Room in Midtown NYC is a solid choice for anyone looking for an authentically Irish pub experience without breaking the bank. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with classic wood-paneled décor, plenty of TVs for sports fans, and a lively yet relaxed crowd. Their beer selection is extensive, featuring a great mix of local and imported brews, including a proper pint of Guinness. Food-wise, the menu offers hearty pub staples like fish and chips, shepherd’s pie, and juicy burgers—all reasonably priced for Midtown. Service is friendly and efficient, making it a great spot for after-work drinks or a casual night out.

Awful, just awful

By Bankgirlwhite |

I took my son here for a meal, the noise is deafening. The waitress misheard our order and brought just one starter. We ordered prawns which were served with ketchup with some drowning lettuce. Revolting. As we received the second one,the main courses came. I asked the guy to take them back but he couldn’t hear me and dumped them and ran. The steak was stone cold. When our barely touched plates were taken, no one questioned why we had left the majority of the meal. Way too chewy. We skipped dessert and went to the deli up the road for something edible. The coke for my son was very weak, as if the mix was wrong. We were cramped as the next table of people blocked us in by over seating their table. It was our last night in New York, so pretty much ruined. Waitress was ok, apologetic and clearly busy but I certainly would not recommend this place. Unless you are drunk...then it’s probably fine!

Good bar

By Tim D |

Wide selection of beers, large bar used primarily as a quick drink before going out or on returning home. Never overly busy so bartenders always attentive.

Stopped in here for lunch

By Ross |

Stopped in here for lunch and had a great time. The food and drinks were fantastic and the staff was very welcoming. If you’re looking for a comfortable place to enjoy a meal and a drink in the heart of the city then you’ve found it here.

Stopped in for a beer with my son (yes, he's of age now). Pretty good beer selection. I must admit I did notice they didn't perform a proper pour on the Guinness, but I enjoyed it of course regardless. Pretty good atmosphere. May return in the future if in the area.

We returned 2 evenings

A very large pub, with many screens to follow basketball and hockey matches. Good and light local beer. Pub food, still done well. Frequented by many young people.

Should Have Expected the Experience

By Kathleen R |

It’s the experience you expect when you go to a place called The Keg Room. They checked our vaccination status at the door, but don’t expect protocol beyond that. The servers do not wear mask and it is uncomfortable. The food is fair. We hadn’t eaten all day, so we finished our meal but we all agreed it was because we were starving. The beer was cold and a little flat. The location is good and the atmosphere has potential as a post pandemic meeting spot.

Irish bar...buzzing at night, lovely food, staff v nice

By Mskeo |

Huge menu here and huge portions...any starter is nearly a main course... i had the hummus which was enormous and delicious, tried pizza...great, salmon lovely and the staff very helpful if you wanted a variationon menu... prices great too...loads of tvs showing sport!!!

Nice steak and great service

By SJSmith |

Lovely bar and restaurant in NYC. We were served pretty quick by a young Irish guy who was very helpful. It was a business trip so we asked about portion size and we went with nachos and a fillet mignon steak. Steak was lovely and nacho portion was big. We tried the keg ale which was nice too I was a little awkward as I wanted the bill splitting so I could claim the meal back and remove the beers and his was not a problem If definitely come back here for food and a pint.

Love The Keg Room!

By Tim S |

This is my GO TO place every time I come to NY and I’m here once or twice/month. I love bringing customers here for happy hour/dinner/after dinner. Food is great and beer selection is amaaazing!

Great place for Sunday football

By les91178 |

Came here with two other couple to watch some football. They have multiple tv's which was convenient as we were cheering for several different teams. Our waitress was attentive, friendly and efficient. We order many rounds of drinks as well as wings, hot chips and nachos. The hot chips were my favorite but all the food was good. Nice selection of beers. Perfect place to watch the game.

Awesome sports bar

By TravelBarbie658 |

We loved this bar!!!!! Classic sports bar, tvs all around the bar. Beer prices faor considering location. Food is good too, we had some buffalo wings. Place had a band on and a great atmosphere on NYC marathon day (was a Sunday) dont hesitate to go if you want a casual, sports bar and food experience.

Week NYC with my 2 brothers

By Peet |

Fantastic bar, great food, great beer and great staff and atmospheric space. We have been in New York for a week and our hotel had been around the corner and every day for a beer or something to eat, delicious!

College hoops post game party

By Dennis O |

A group of 25 friends visited The Keg Room for drinks and food. We were not disappointed. We reserved a section at the high tables and had our own waitress. Great service and a great atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed the drinks and food. So many TV’s showing so many different sporting Events made for a lively evening. Thanks so much!!

Shame we didn't find this place sooner....

By JCDBirmingham |

We called in here for a lunchtime drink and could have kicked ourselves for not finding it sooner. It was a Sunday afternoon and there were only half a dozen of us in there but by the time we left the place was buzzing with football fans watching different games. We drank cocktails and beer and ordered a snack; humous and nachos. The portion size was very generous as the humous would have been enough on it's own as it was served with fresh veg crudites, olives and flatbread. Would have loved to visit on a Friday or Saturday evening when the pub has a DJ playing but maybe next time.....

Fantastic Place

By Samantha A |

My daughter and I came across this place whilst wondering around NY after the Thanksgiving Parade! What a find! A total gem of a place! We had the most gorgeous Thanksging Turkey meal and our server was the super Ryan - who was attentive, witty and welcoming! All the staff friendly - a lovely atmosphere. I could have stayed all afternoon! Thank you to all of you! Next time we’re in NY - we will be sure to visit again!

Overpriced

By cruerockchick |

Atmosphere is nice, service was good but not worth the price for what we had. Fook was okay, nothing special. Have been here other times, but will not be going back.

Friendly bar and great food

By SELYTS |

We visited several times during our seven day visit to NYC as it was one block up from where we were staying. Bar and waiting staff were always friendly and attentive. The food was very good bar food, I especially liked the nachos which were excellent with a cold beer. Price was very reasonable. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Great bar

By Mike R |

Popped here for a drink and dinner whilst on a business trip and was located very conveniently to my hotel. Overall it was great for what I needed with typical American bar food and a choice of local US beers. It also had numerous TVs playing various US sporting events so kept me occupied for an hour or so. Bar staff were polite and attentive and I had no interruptions which is what I wanted after a long flight and ahead of a day full of meetings.

Fun, fun, fun

By JohnPatsi |

Great place to have a beer and snacks prior to going to your theater. A lot of fun lively and lots of TV screens for your favorite games

Perfect in every way!

By Cheryl F |

The Keg Room was our go to after a busy tourist day. The staff was so wonderful! Excellent service, drinks and food.

Ok food but very good beer

By urgent78 |

We stopped here for lunch one day, and hoped it would be ok. The food is good, around average I would say. But a good range of beers. So I ended up trying some:) Wll worth a visit - but not if you are just eating.

Too rushed, food was ok

By G T |

We arrived in this place after a recommendation from friends. It’s an Irish themed bar in a great location not far from Macy’s and Broadway. No seats at the bar (4pm) so we were sat at a table, just the two of us. After 10 minutes, no one had taken a drink order. After 20 minutes, we gave a food order and asked for more drinks. Ten minutes later our starter arrived, but no drinks. Five minutes later whilst still eating our starter, our main course arrived. Still no drinks....and on it went. The had the Burger, which was ok, and the fiery shrimp salad, which is a small salsa sized with shrimp in a trifle dish-don’t bother. New York has other places to visit, especially around this area, so I’d try them first.

Highlight of our trip!!!!!

By Chrissy B |

Our trip to NYC was 10 days long and every single day we visited The Keg NYC. We loved the second we arrived how welcomed we were and how friendly the staff was. Food was good and ate there 2/10 days but we were here for the fab drinks, especially our Favorite PINK MOJO. Even half way through our trip they took the drink off the menu but they kept making lots of rounds for us. We want to give a huge thank you to the wonderful staff that treated us like family. Meagan, Colm, Mike, Joe, Mario, Collette, and the Owner, Mary. And our barstool buddy, Ed! Enjoy our napkin notes, we will miss you and you guys were definitely the biggest highlight of our trip. Till next time, The Canadian Girls

Love This Bar

By Phatbloke |

Second visit to this most excellent Sports Bar near Penn, loads of screens, all the sports you could want, wings, beer and wine, what's not to love

Alright for beer and snack

By Christy012 |

Three of us went for beer and potentially dinner. Seated right away. Place is nice looking and roomy. We had a couple of beers that were fine. The appetizer we ordered, calamari, was not very good. Rubbery and not tasty. Thus we did not order other food. A lot better calamari for the price nearby at Italian or Cuban restaurants.

Good food great service!

By Steve T |

On a very cold night in Manhattan we wanted dinner near our hotel and Google mapped the Keg Room around the block and off we went. Cool music DJ'd in the background (not to loud) and wonderful service from our wait staff and the place was packed. We went back the next day...no use searching for better...

Irish bar and more ...

By Oz Z |

The big advantage was that the bar was opposite the hotel we were in. Irish pub with a variety of beers, drinks and food. In the early evening we crossed the road with the children for a light dinner. The service was efficient, the portions were large and each of us (four of us) found the dish which suited him. We returned to the place a number of times because it was fun and tasty. Prices are reasonable.

Great Food and Great Atmosphere - Check it Out !

By Lynnie P |

Well worth the visit - super close to Macy's and shopping - comfortable atmosphere, and most importantly, great service and great food!

Fine for a drink

By ni2009 |

Average bar and restaurant. The staff were very friendly and efficient, couldn't fault them. Food is average bar fare, burgers, chips, ribs etc

Great Irish Pub

By turbotravelers |

Stopped in here for an early dinner before going to MSG for a concert. Walked easily from there to the Garden. Fish and Chips was phenomenal. Huge piece of fish with authentic malt vinegar. We both had the same thing and we really enjoyed it. Usually we'll get one item each and do haflsies, but it looked so good, we both ordered. Excellent choice. Great service as well.

Just As We Remembered

By Persecutor |

We stumbled across this place on our last trip to New York a couple of years ago and when we fancied lunch on our first day on a recent trip we hoped it would be just as good. Excellent food and service and also just a great place to visit for a drink, which we did frequently after a busy and exhausting day. Will return for years to come when we visit NYC.

Great atmosphere.

By Ed W |

Great Irish bar with all the features you would expect. Wide selection of beers and the food was great. Well worth a visit, especially if you are staying in the Holiday Inn across the road!…

Wonderful!

By Phyllis H |

What a great place! Right across from our hotel.... fish and chips and pot pie are delectable....couple days later visited again. Good food, service was great the first night, not so good the second...but I would definitely go there again!

Late Night Meal

By Ro D |

They have a smaller menu after about 10. We ordered burgers and they were great. The service was great. Made it a pleasure to be there.

Fun pub

By KnoxTravler |

Great atmosphere and super friendly staff. We only had drinks, but I wouldn't hesitate to order food. Excellent pub.

Great food, good service, moderately priced

By TravellerTX18 |

Went around 7pm during mid-week. No problem getting a table but the bar area closer to front of restaurant was very crowded. Our server let us order a flight of beers from a pretty good variety, not huge but more than we needed to choose from. He let us know up front which selections were sold out. We skipped the appetizer menu but ordered the salmon apple salad and the sheperd's pie. The food arrived very quickly which concerned me at first - but not after eating them. Both meals were delicious. Splurged on 2 desserts. The Spumoni Bomba was enough to share and very good. We thought the service was excellent; several people attended to us and asked if there was anything we needed. A great find just walking across the street very hungry!

Top Notch Service

By Noreen Rees |

Brilliant service from Aiden , hope I’ve spelt his name correctly , had the Penne Pasta with Shrimp and Vodka Sauce , my hubby had Rib Eye , had a great night sat outside as the weather was beautiful , really enjoyed ourselves and enjoy your bottle of red we’ve dropped off for you today Aiden , thanks again .

Stopped for luch

By 911571 |

Staff attentive and helpful. No sooner than we were seated, than the menu’s were placed in front of us along with a glass of iced water. Given time to look over the extensive beer menu before we asked if we wanted anything from the bar. Changed my mind about 4 times before settling my lunch choice. Food came out hot and tasted incredible. If I was staying in New York longer I would be back

Ate here lots!

By speckledjim |

Loved this place, very convenient as it was close to the hotel. Lots of choice on the menu, reasonably priced and great service from all the staff.

Friendly Irish Bar!

By wallister |

This was just across the street from our hotel and was the first place we visited for lunch on arrival. The staff were very helpful and friendly and gave good advice re local places to see. Whilst the menu was what you would expect in this sort of bar the standard was very high. There is also a good choice of beers and the Guinness was spot on - cold and poured correctly! We visited it later one night and there was a good friendly atmosphere. Worth checking out!

BASIC…JUST BASIC

By Wessel-007 |

So for a place that has an average bar dish price of $20+, the plastic cups for water was a surprise. Ordered flat bread, which was well prepared but not appropriately priced at $23. The pasta well cooked well but the sauce was bland. Drinks were below standard. Maybe 5 bar cubes in a shelf old fashion and no muddling. OVERALL, not horrible but not a destination…something to settle for…

Pub Grub, Sports All Done Well

By JBentraveler |

Wanting to watch the football games, we chose the Keg Room. This big Irish style pub offers nice beer and food selections. The TV's are everywhere and offer all the customer's a front row seats. We started with the beer and brie dip pretzel appetizer. The brie was warm and creamy. It easily spread on the two big pretzel sticks. Adding a few beers and we were ready for our entries. We ordered the Salmon arugula salad, fiesta bowl steak, bbq ribs and a Mediterranean salad. Each meal was a very big portion and had plenty of salmon, steak, chicken and ribs. We were very full. The service was a little slow due to the big parties.

Hot food

By SUE D |

This restaurant was just over the road from our hotel so was an easy choice. It’s noisy and busy in there but worth the visit. Friendly waiter showed us to our table and returned for drinks order. Which he promptly returned with. Order taken and piping hot food speedily delivered to our table. Very generous portions, in fact overly generous, but one of the hottest meals out I’ve had recently. Give this bar and restaurant and try.

Ok food quickly, bar quite noisy.

By Michael I |

Food ok and served really quickly by friendly wait staff. We were there on a Thursday evening and the bar area was very busy and loud, which was slightly off putting.

Popular midtown sports bar

By Nomad0921 |

We needed a casual dinner on a rainy night close to our hotel, the Keg Room was perfect. A typical sports bar, there was a Rangers/Kings game that night and the bar was full of fans as well as fans for the late afternoon NFL games. Understandably the dining area was packed, noisy and energetic. My wife had onion soup and I had a turkey burger - the burger was good but fries were excellent, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside the way I like them. The Keg Room is a good place in midtown to watch a sporting event and cheer on your favorite team with a bite to eat and some bar food.

Nice bar and restaurant.

By The Taylor’s |

Nice bar and restaurant near Times Square. Went one evening for bar food and returned another day as it was great value and had a nice atmosphere. Reasonable prices for a city centre and plenty of TV’s showing all sports every night.

Amazing bar

By Graeme8228 |

We found this amazing bar during our 5 night stay in New York in December 21. It was my wife and I's first visit to New York and we used this bar even day. Great sports bar, best chilli nachos ever, great staff and a great vibe. Can't wait to visit again this September

Super Friendly and Great Food

By Lisa C |

This place was near our hotel so we thought we would check it out on Marathon weekend in NYC. We were so pleasantly surprised! The staff was amazing! Mary, Emily, Erica, Diane and Darrel were amazing - they made us feel like locals. The food was delicious - awesome steak quesadilla and one of the best Mediterranean salads I have ever had. We were in NYC for three nights and went there 3 times because of how great everything was! Thanks and we can't wait to visit again soon!!

Worth a visit.

By Wendy T |

Had a lovely meal in the Keg Room...lovely burgers...v good service. Bar showing sports. Had a meal and drink here. Recommend the burgers.

Perfect Sports Bar

By DaniL |

A fantastic sports bar in a great location. Atmosphere, service and food were all really good. Would highly recommend!

Really Good Pub Food and Sports Bar in Midtown

By Louis59 |

Staying at a hotel across the street, the desk clerk recommended The Key Room for a burger and her recommendation was spot on! The restaurant has more TVs than most sports bars I've visited. The ambiance is fun but not too loud, and the service from my bartender, Heather, was perfectly timed and super friendly. I ordered my burger "no carb" style, without fries, and with broccoli as a side. It came nicely seasoned, hot, and fast. I can very much recommend The Key Room for a casual, good meal!

Great food, Great Atmosphere

By Carisa |

We visited here in September to meet up with some friends who live in the city! The staff were really friendly, the food was great would defo recommend

Good food

By Dany C |

This was our second visit to The Keg Room, in my previous report the title was 'Great Food', now it was only good. If there is nothing to compare the food was good, but as mentioned less than before. We ordered the same dishes as last time Bangers & Mash and the Chicken Pot Pie. Staff is OK, not overly friendly.

Perfectly decent sports bar

By hopesprings12345 |

We stumbled across this place as we looked for food near our hotel. It’s essentially a sports bar which offers perfectly decent American food - burgers, ribs etc. I wouldn’t say my food wasn’t exceptional, but it was good - and service was also good.

Excellent food and service

By Robert Lee M |

The service was above par. The store manageress/owneress were checking on tables and was genuinely sincere. The service was quick. Food was excellent. I definitely recommend the Steak Sandwich.

Very Good Food

By Feemar5 |

Was part of a group of 50 who dined at the Keg recently. The place was extremely busy but we were seated quickly and the service was very good. The food was excellent. Tried to book another night but no tables available so that speaks for itself. Several TV screens and lots of noise but a pleasant place to dine.

Excellent food, drink and atmosphere

By meadbh |

Large group went here to watch the rugby on 18th March. Thoroughly enjoyed the day, huge amount of screens so impossible to not see game, whatever the crowd. We all got food to eat which was very tasty and service was very good. Will deffo return

Average pub food

By dew192 |

This is a lively sports bar and would be fun to watch some games and have a few drinks but food was very average. Our waiter wasn’t able to answer basic q’s about the difference in beers other than alcohol content (which was listed in the menu).

Great Irish bar

By Lher1928 |

My husband had the guinness, he said it was the best he’d had! The staff were friendly and helpful, always checking you were ok. Lovely atmosphere.

Great at lunchtime- unfriendly evening

By Jon B |

So impressed when I came here at lunchtime - excellent friendly service you’d expect in a NY Irish pub. But on returning in the evening service was unfriendly and inattentive. Although I wanted to eat it felt like an imposition asking for a menu. From impressed to disappointed in one day.

Truly awful food.

By derekm6 |

Popped in here for a drink. It was fairly quiet and relaxed. We got another round and a table for dinner. We both ordered fajitas. I’ve never been served fajitas like it. They were truly awful. The meat was covered with onions and peppers which were not dry but in a sort of gravy. Definitely off our return list

Front of house staff are rude.

By Steven P |

Front of house staff are rude. The short woman barges past my wife to deal only with me, refused to acknowledge her existence

Noisy but great food

By LEI1982 |

We ended up here as next to our hotel and we were starving after our flight but was well worth it. Portions are big and atmosphere was fun and casual. Lots of screens showing various sports. It’s a lovely Irish bar with friendly and welcoming staff, with quick service. I recommend the still lemonade - amazing

Great atmosphere, great drinks selection & reasonably priced foos

By Angela M G |

We had read very positive reviews about the keg room, and used it for our stay at Great Western Premier, Herald Square. Bar staff courteous, excellent. Food was very good, reasonably priced and generous portions. Brilliant atmosphere, all sports on for you to follow whatever you wish

Noise Box

By haworthhoarder2014 |

Got there just after 11:00 pm from a Broadway show for a late dinner. Just missed the regular menu but there is a late hours menu. Food was good, service was good, but the NOISE from the blaring music was off the charts. Would have been great in a nightclub or disco but this is a bar. People go to bars to drink and talk. You can't talk here. It's that bad. Would never go back. Bring earplugs.

Worth dropping in on

By zachgray |

After a busy day walking around New York, dropped in here with my son for a couple of revitalising beers. Everything you want from a bar, decent pint of Guinness and nice polite service. It’s not difficult to keep people happy when you’re selling beer !!!

Owner is a Terrible person

By Scarlet B |

The waitress was nice, but please steer clear of this place on the sole basis that the owner is an incompetent jerk who shouldn’t even be there. Do not give your money to this place. It’s going to a chauvinist.

Very good food (penne vodka)

By Manny B |

Very good food (penne vodka) and drinks. Outdoor seating due to Covid was nicely setup . Good prices. Highly recommended!!

Great place to eat in New York

By Gary3169 |

Hungry and having walked for hours, we were looking for a place to eat. We discovered the Keg Room by chance and went in. Staff were great from the start. Attentive and smiling, we felt like we'd been invited into their home. We were showed to a booth and I kind of looked around a spotted 26 big screen TV's all around me. Food (Ribs) were excellent and beer welcome. Service was excellent too. Great place to discover on 36th street

Great Midtown Bar

By rugby007 |

We found this place on the fly, moving from museum to other various attractions in Midtown. Made a reservation online, hopped a cab and showed up right before one of the Great Big Football Playoff Games. We were about 20 minutes early but there was plenty of space and the three of us were seated immediately in a nice big booth. High ceilings and lots of TVs. No matter where you’re sitting, you’ll have a view of at least two TVs, more likely four or more. All were on a single game while we were there, unclear if they provide alternate views on other days. The service was attentive and thorough throughout, making sure we were completely taken care of. There were a couple of small problems with our orders due to the server not writing any of it down when we ordered, but she got most of the customization right, and immediately fixed the minor mistakes once the food showed up. Not a big deal. We started with the Keg Room appetizer sampler, which was just right for the three of us. The calamari was especially good. We were hungry and asked about the $64 super appetizer sampler and were warned off it as it’s enough food for ten or more. My son and I both got the Celtic Burger, which was the perfect choice. Sometimes you just gotta have a burger, and this was one of those days, and this perfectly hit the bullseye. The patty was just the right size, not too big, and was cooked perfectly. The bun held together all the way through, even with all of the fixin’s and condiments. The fries that came with also were excellent. My partner got a vegetarian burrito, and it came with a ton of nice extras, She ate every single bit. Along the way I got a nice local beer and my son had a couple of old-fashions, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Bottom Line: great sports bar in the heart of Midtown. Good atmosphere, good service, and good food. Recommend.

Nice place, good beer list

By MaineGlobeTrotters |

Good drink menu. Had microbrew at high top table. Waitress was good. Did not eat so cannot comment on the food. Would go back for pre-dinner drink.

Great Irish Sports Bar

By leap786 |

Our local while staying in New York. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere great and lots of sports to watch. The food was pretty good too.

be careful

By Hellton V |

long service, good atmosphere for watching sports, but be careful when paying the bill, as the waiter may disappear with your payment if you leave it on the table and don't hand it over.

Racist server

By Christian G |

We got seated by the host . I went to the restroom right away & over heard the server tell the host . Just my lucky day , I got them . Then she came to get our order & had a disrespectful attitude for no reason .also my girlfriend was seated with her leg crossed normally. She saids “ By the way that’s unexceptionable, my manger will say something if they see you . My first racist experience. We were polite & respectful the entire time

Taken care of!

Rolled into this lil spot to have a drink. This is cool spot to watch games. Plenty of tvs Nd and good conversations! I'm comin from San Francisco, CA

chocolate pudding out of this world

By lenandcelia |

Found this Irish pub by chance, its huge. Typical Irish menu plus few extras but their daily specials are different. Had their chocolate pudding which was superb. Also get view of kitchen at work while you wait which is refreshing. Its spotless. Would recommend a visit

Great Food and Beer

By Brett C |

We went for lunch. Great beer selection and a great selection of pub food. The homade potato chips were awesome, steak sandwich was yummy and salad was great. Service was also good.

Good choice for a big group

By AmandaBaran |

Big menu with plenty of options. Food was good and came out promptly. Prices are fair, especially for the area. One rude bartender, but the rest of the staff were very kind. Place is big and brings in quite a crowd

Great City Spot

By louisc462 |

Came here a few times when I meet my best friend in NYC for food and drinks. Really a big place, great selection of beers and whisky , good food too! I will definitely come back when im in the city again

Great Irish Pub ... Good Food and Tap Beer

By IBrown |

While staying at the Holiday Inn Express Manhattan, we took advantage of the close proximity of the Keg Room Irish Pub across the street. We had a lunch and dinner there as well as a visit for a few drinks before heading back to the hotel. It's quite a large restaurant/bar with a fun Irish atmosphere. They have a great beer selection as well a good variety of whiskeys. The food we ordered was always good and served promptly. The staff is very friendly. Would high recommend if you enjoy this type of food and drink.

Great Lunch

By Brett C |

We’ve been a couple times for lunch. Food and service is good. Great beer list. Mixed drink could have used a bit more vodka.

Great bar.

By pauline h |

Found this great place on the last day of our hectic week in New York. Colin and staff were really friendly and we wished we had found it earlier in the week. Had our last drinks in New York here before heading back home. Perfect end to a fab holiday.

Great midtown option

By Heather S |

Good option in midtown. I was there on a weekend afternoon it was very pleasant. Food was great. Nice vibe. Friendly bartenders. I’d certainly go back.

Great for a quick bite to eat and a beer!

By swanny70 |

We stopped in for a beer and an appetizer. Service was great, beer was cold and the chicken tenders were crispy and delicious. Would eat here again!

Nice selection of beer and food menu

By Craig-World-Travelle |

They have about 20 beers on draft and a full bar. Lots of choices for food too. Had a couple of drafts and a veggie flatbread. Everything was good. Service was fast and friendly. We will definitely try this again on our trip.

The Bangers & Mash was really

By Darlene B |

The Bangers & Mash was really good! The atmosphere is great. Love all the TVs & the college football! Great service as well!

Great food, horrid service.

By ptwob201 |

We have been here a few times and the food is amazing. However the service was so bad, we had to leave a comment. First they brought me the wrong beer. Not a big deal. Next they confused the request to spit a filet Mignon for our boys with fish and chips? No worries hey fixed it and brought out a blue rare filet that we asked for Medium. Sent it back and it was barely medium rare. The first waitress was horrendous and also forgot waters upon requests. They were jibber jabbering in the corner the whole time. Keep in mind this was 5 PM on a Sunday and not busy. No service recovery by the manager, a little by the second one. The food is fabulous ma be we just had a bad go at it? I was there on 2 September 2018

Excellent Shepherds Pie, Greqt Place to Watch Game

By Nupester |

I walked all around the MSG area looking for a place to watch a game and stumbled upon this very fine Irish-themed restaurant. Not only do they have a lot of big screens but the Shepherd’s Pie was excellent and so was the service. I would definitely come back when visiting. Reasonable prices for the city.

Great place!

By 920_Happy_Traveler |

Can’t say enough about this bar/restaurant. Great service, great people, great atmosphere. There is a lot of variety on the menu and there always seem to be a lot of people there, but it’s so large, it never seems overcrowded. If you’re going to be in NYC, try this place. You won’t be disappointed!

Perfect place for a casual dinner with drinks

By MarkA |

The atmosphere is a sports bar/Irish pub mix. TVs cover the walls with every game that's on. Great menu, lots of variety. Huge drink menu with giant selection of draft beer. We had a great nachos platter, turkey burger and turkey ciabatta. All were served perfect and no waiting. Definitely recommend.

Nice big restaurant with a lot of beer and happy people!

By Vladimir P |

Nice big restaurant with a lot of beer and happy people is very popular in this part on NYC. Nice athmosphere and good food makes the final cut. Lots of places to sit and a very big bar. Liked this place and will come back again!
