Stayed at the Loews Regency and actually went to the restaurant for lunch before we traveled back home. I was pleased with the quality of food and the service. The evening before, when we came in from a night on the town, I was surprised to see that the restaurant was a happening place. It busy with people and live music - good vibes. I think locals may hang out as well as a neighborhood haunt.

I recommend the restaurant for it´s very good food and really comfy interior. Ate here several times for breakfast and dinner and had drinks couple of evenings. Food is great - drinks strangely tasted the same though two very different mixes..

I’ve being coming to Regncy bar for few years with friends. Ivan bartender was very helpful. But on my last visit haven’t seen my favorite item on the menu which is chicken palliard. That’s the only dish I really enjoyed here. Please bring it back.

We enjoyed very good night caps and great service here. Nice way to wind down your day. Very interesting clientele can be seen here.

We were here for breakfast several times during our 7 days stay at Loews. The prices are stiff and the restaurant is on weekdays filled up with businesspeople, many of them being driven here in a Mercedes 500... So it should not be a good place for us - a Scandinavian family with two children, 9 and 12 years old. But it is! The interior is warm and stylish, perfectly informal/formal. You feel relaxed even though surrounded by all business people and some other more informal hotel guests/tourists. The restaurant has a lot of waiters serving you fast and friendly. We had to wait for table a couple of times, but it never took more than three minutes to get a table. The food is great. The Salmon Egg Benedict tastes heavenly. The pancakes are so fluffy and our gluten intolerant son loves the gluten free toast with Canadian bacon. So better save some money to next NYC trip - because even though it has it´s (high) price, it is hard to resist having breakfast here!

The Regency grill is the best place for breakfast in NYC; classy, huge food selection, attentive service, offers many different newspapers. Location is very central, Park Ave at 61st Street, only two blocks from Central Park. The Bar is quite trendy for late afternoon drinks with friends; go early as it gets packed.

We were staying at the hotel and decided to try The Regency Bar & Grill for dinner 1 night. We had the concierge make reservations several weeks in advance, as the hotel suggested. We were seated promptly when we arrived for our 8pm dinner reservations. The place was bustling, but service was good and very tentative. The burgers were delicious and a good sized portion. The fries were also quite tasty. It was a casual place, yet people were dressed nicely. Pretty much an after-work crowd. The cookie platter for dessert was a perfect choice to finish off a delicious and filling meal!

Nice place to have a drink but had to wait a long time for two cappucinos. Buzzing atmosphere for those who like that. Cute.

Stayed here on business, delicious food but the service was so slow and prices were expensive. The bar was packed with Cougars clearly looking to pick up business men and taking up every inch of the bar and tables. Bartenders were all foreign models, nice looking men but dumb. Messed up our order and were too busy flirting with old plastic surgery women to care.

We stayed at the Loews for Valentines weekend. The Regency Bar and Grill was definitely the best part of our stay at the hotel. I ordered the grilled Branzino and my husband got the burger. We also had the octopus as an appetizer. All were very well prepared, tasty, and good portions! :-)

An excellent bar and grill in a high class hotel. There is a lot of energy in the place in part due to it's compact size. The food was excellent and there was good people watching.

We enjoyed an excellent meal after listening to jazz at a nearby club. Service was prompt and attentive; the premises were immaculate especially the men’s room; and the venue is very beautiful and friendly. They had wonderful French fried potatoes but do not as a matter of course make them very crisp. However, after we asked for a bit more doneness, they came back perfectly. Every thing else was absolutely delicious. A tiny nit — popcorn with our champagne — a bit stale. But the olives were great.

This restaurant is apparently the in-fashion power breakfast eaterie. The food is standard fayre - in fact pretty average. But it appears that people don't really care about that - it is the buzz they like. When I went i was surrounded by politicians and serious money-men. Cost of two plates of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and coffee was $86. Rather a lot! Service was haphazard, mainly because the restaurant was 100% full.

Had breakfast with a fundraiser trying to get me to commit funds to a school and he was smitten with the power breakfast. The food is average and there are dozens of diners in NYC with better food. They skimp on the butter and fruit if you order a fruit cup which we did. My omelet was good but not great. The service was good. The price was through the roof. I have had cheaper dinners in Manhattan. For money like this; the meal should be superior.

I just had a drink " The upper East side" or something like this with a friend at this bar. staff and host nice, bar staff one guy nose up in the clouds. Way too expensive for cocktails. I could not justify these prices in my head like $24 and I live in New York. I guess it's for sad rich tourists that think this is what new York prices are and then they go home and tell everyone, new York is so expensive, hey get our your bloody hotel and actually see new York and don't live in a bubble, these are not actual prices. This place is ridiculous. I don't care what surveys these establishments do to say these prices are within industry standard, this is why New Yorkers do not frequent NYC establishments because it's not affordable.

There are a lot of choices for breakfast even a healthy menu. Very nice setting and service. Well worth every penny

Professionally served Sunday breakfast - eggs cooked perfectly from a waiter that really listened and likewise a breakfast cook that cared.

The food was fine, nothing special. The almost nonexistent “service” that was shockingly indifferent and aloof is what will ensure that I never return (I work in the neighborhood). Five people “working” there, and I couldn’t get water. Had to stand up from the bar with my credit card raised just for the silent, surly bartender to give me the bill.

This bar located off the lobby of the Loew's Regency hotel became a favorite stop for a nightcap before we turned in for the evening. I usually stay far away from the hotel bar scene - but the patrons of this bar were Fortune 100 professionals simply looking for a very late dinner or a calm drink before calling it a night. People were polite & civilized. They served good nibbles (the shrimp cocktail was a favorite) with well crafted cocktails and even had a well curated wine list featuring fine 1/2 bottles of Champagne. It was clean, well lit, and not so loud you could hear your partner.

Following on from my initial report of the Regency hotel, I can now report that the metamorphosis from the old restaurant to the swanky new Bar and Grill has enhanced the atmosphere of the hotel and has become a venue to see and be 'scene'. Managers and staff of the bar and restaurant are beyond reproach, which is more than can be said for the Fiat service desk. One has been helpful, another just short of being insolent. The hotel is among the finest in NYC, but still needs to prune some dead wood from its staff. A process I am confident it will achieve. More reports to follow as our stay in NYC continues.

We met bartender Sonny K at the Waldorf several years ago. Now, no trip to NYC is compete without him pouring us a drink. Be sure to ask him about being Frank Sinatra’s bartender!

The bar at the Regency is simply lovely. Great drinks (a bit spendy, but *totally* worth it!), Sonny the bartender is the best (ask him to make you a Sazerac - Mmmmm), and we love the location - right in the Loew's Regency Park Avenue. You gotta go!

Food was well-prepared and the menu, while limited, was interesting. Good, but not particularly memorable. Henry, our waiter, was excellent.

Great restaurant. Lot's of celebrities happened to be there... the services was excellent. very quick to fill your glass. good wine list. Menu could of had more options but still a great place for a drink or lunch/dinner.

Just back from staying at the Regency. While there, we dinned twice at the hotel's restaurant. The food, service and selections were average. The wine list extensive but very expensive. I had a hard time finding a bottle of red for less than $85. Overall, I cannot recommend it. Too many other great places to eat nearby.

Had a few drinks and a few meals here during our stay. All was very good and bar tender was knowledgeable and friendly. All you can ask for a great experience!

During our Upper East Side July 4 NYC trip Last year we had wonderful breakfast meals at the Hotel Pierre so we decided to try breakfast at the Lowe’s Regrncy this year. Decor was beautiful so we were hopeful. However, that’s where excellent stopped. Service was slow, food was warm at best, coffee was slightly warm, and refills were not timely. Needless to say, we did not return for another breakfast. Service and food around the corner at a neighborhood diner was far superior not to mention half the price.

I have had several business/personal meetings at the Regency and I'm always delighted to have chosen the venue. The meals are always up to my expectation and the service is very friendly and professional. The minute you step in, you are greeted by Christian, the Maitre D', who makes everything smooth and enjoyable... Keep it up guys!

We love to go to this bar. Great atmosphere and drinks... Always crowded but good vibes. Located in the Loews hotel.

The Loews is swish, as you would expect, one of the best Manhattan hotels in my view. The Regency Grill lives up to that standard very admirably. It is elegant, relaxed, but informal. As all bars should have, it has a great bar counter, something I always look for and enjoy most. You won't meet folks at a table, you might get to say hi to someone at the bar, or stay silent if you wish. And it means you can see ay more of that's going on. I also loved that they let you eat at the bar. This is a place that is very comfortable in it's own skin, it's classy without being uber-chic. It echoes it's neighbourhood: it is moneyed, confident, affable, self-assured. The food's very good, service ditto, they make a mean Old Fashioned. None of it comes cheap, naturally. I was lucky to have a week at the Loews and a week then at the Regency to go with it. l loved it, it is a treat. Who wouldn't.

The bar is lively and people-friendly. The staff is top-notch. Great for people watching. They offer hot popcorn, nuts, and pretzels with your drinks. Appetizers are excellent too.

Service has turned for the worst since my last review. Seems as though the Manager Christian is no longer working for the Bar & Grill and you notice the difference immediately. You first need to get someone's attention, then service is slow and need to wait a long time for drinks and food. That is if you get what you ordered and it's not still frozen (beef carpaccio). Spent a whole week eating Lunch, Dinner and stayed for drinks and didn't experience any improvement. New staff management seems to be the difference. Christian was an incredible host and really went the extra mile to make you feel special. Please, please bring him back or tell me where he went!

A classic upper east side venue. At dinner time it is full of upper east side socialites, euro trash and the like. Lots of blond hair and social x-rays. A great place to go if you want to be seen with the great and good (if reasonably useless) of New York City. The food is not memorable. Pretty mediocre and the service is friendly but not great...empty glasses are left on the table, etc., the wait for your meal is agonizingly long, but they keep refilling your water glass. This is a restaurant you go to for the scene, not the food. If that's what you're after, it's fine. If not, there are thousands of restaurants in NYC that have better food and better service.

Smoked salmon eggs Benedict...yummmmm!!! Great service, great place for breakfast at the Loews Regency Hotel.

We stay at this hotel 3-5 times a year. The bar was recently renovated, and it is a great locals hangout. The bar menu is good, they deliver it quickly and the service is warm and friendly. My wife anf I always stop in for a nightcap. The breakfast is also good, they will do it however you request it.

Stopped in before our flight out of NYC. Staff treated us like royalty even though we were dressed in jeans and sneaks.

We rented the back room and had first class service and a wonderful meal. thank you Mark Wedding and team for making our dads 85th birthday celebration perfect!!!

Mark Wedding, the restaurant manager went above and beyond for our family. We checked in on Father's Day and our waiter was extremely rude. The restaurant wasn't crowded and it took forever to get our drinks. The attitude of the waiter was so cold and we waited quite awhile. It really takes a lot for me to say something but finally after having enough I contacted the restaurant manager. The other staff including the bus boy went out of their way for us which was surprising because our own waiter didn't even do this. Regardless, if our waiter was having a bad night or not we should not have been treated like that. When the manager, Mark, stepped in everything changed. He and the entire restaurant staff were phenomenal during our five night stay. They all did a remarkable job and treated us like we were celebrities. Thank you Mark and the other entire staff of the restaurant (minus the one waiter) for such a memorable trip and such an enjoyable stay at your hotel.

We enjoyed drinks here in the evening, and thought we would give it a try for breakfast. First of all, the food is good. My poached eggs were cooked perfectly. The waiter was very attentive. However, $21 for oatmeal, and $12 for orange juice is a bit much. They also charged us for coffee, which was odd considering it's free for self-service on the bar. I realize this hotel is on Park Avenue, but I didn't expect them to take such advantage of it.

Burger was generous in size at least 10 ounces.Glass of wine included for $39.00. I guess that's a bargain on Park Avenue. Unbelievably extra Charge of $3.00 for a slice of Cheese.

Pricey but great spot to sit and relax with friends and family. Services was good , too. Too bad it closes so early.

My family enjoyed breakfast here each day while staying at Loews. The service was consistently excellent, the food was always good-especially the omelettes, and it's a beautiful room. My 2 year old loved her cheerios and fruit every morning and making friends with the servers.

We stayed at the Loews and got quite a surprise with the Regency, normally we will book a restaurant nearby (from Trip Advisor review) but took a chance on this one. Limited menu, very limited sides but the food was very good, service and staff were excellent and the atmosphere was fine. Ask for a booth and don't eat the broccoli on top of haricot verts but do try the superb waitress advised steak burger with I think what she called rape on the top, no matter it was great. They will rush the food if you have a show to go too.

Enjoyed brunch with family here and truly enjoyed the ambience, food, and impeccable service. The omelette was cooked to specifications as were the eggs Benedict. The yogurt and fresh fruit were really fresh. Our waiter paid strict attention to every need-water, coffee, etc. We did overstay but never felt rushed or encouraged to move on. The atmosphere was quiet and private. I would definitely recommend the Regency. We also encountered great service with the concierge.

this is our second time at the Regency Bar & Grill at the Lowes Regency Hotel and the service is excellent. Christian Savaglia is amazing! he knows how to take care of his customers, we had a great time at the bar and Christian made it a very special time for us, thank you!

The place is always crowded for drinks after work. It has a wide range of clientele, ranging form the 30's to the older eastsiders in their 50's & 60's. They have decent bar food. And for the non drinkers, they make a decent cappuccino.

Excellent food and excellent service! Special thanks to Josh, the manager and Cesar, our server for a great night! I ordered the Strip steak, which was juicy and flavorful, and the Jumbo prawn, which was the size of a lobster! Highly recommend!

Breakfast and Lunch were wonderful at the Bar & Grill very convenient located in the Lobby of the Hotel GREAT SERVICE !

My wife walked to Daniel tonight. They had no tables available other than the bar (the lounge had a private party) so we decided to walk to The Regency Bar and Grill tonight on a very, very cold NY night. It was well worth it. The staff was as nice as can be. We had 2 waiters that couldn't have been nicer. My wife had the Branzino and our waiter suggested the Yellow Fin Tuna for me. Both dishes were amazing. I haven't been there since The Regency did their renovation. I can't wait to return. The hospitality director, Christian kept checking up on us. NOTHING to check on. Everything was top notch.

Good drinks- the espresso martini was perfectly prepared, the spicy margarita had the perfect kick! Be prepared to pay a steep price.

Such a cool restaurant... Bright cheerful and style... Amazing decor and flowers. Small menu, very tasty... Quality service and very good location....midtown!

The menu offered a variety of dishes. I had three delicious meals there and each had a wonderful presentation. Attentive service.

Great Place to eat and drink. Great bartenders. Food is unbelievable. And the services is 25 star service.

We love the hotel and usually have more than one meal at the hotel, but this time, every thing was a chore- we got a table, but did not get a menu, then we had to wait to order, then wait for the food, then wait for any refills then wait for the check. the waiter(s) basically ignored us and was not at all concerned about our experience. We had to flag the waiters down to get their attention, and one time my husband had to get up. In a place like this, hat is just unacceptable. I don't know if we will go there again, which, unfortunately, may change my preference to stay at the hotel.

Had four breakfasts. Eggs were always perfect, as were sausages and bacon (prepared precisely to my wife's specifications). Only miss was the blueberry pancakes that were heavier and breadier than the best I have had. Had two dinners at the bar and one through room service (all from the same menu and kitchen). The hamburger with fries was about the best i have had in my long life. It was so good that the next night I had another and enjoyed it just as much. Drinks were good and served with wonderful nuts and popcorn. A "signature" mixed drink was sensational, tasted like a Mexican milk shake with just the right alcoholic kick. A steak was cooked perfectly and was tasty but nothing memorable. The best thing about it was the incredible hen-of-the-woods mushrooms served with it. This is not the place for exotic, fusion or daring gourmet fare. But what they do, an old fashioned hotel restaurant menu, they do extraordinarily well. For the other stuff, NYC is full of incredible restaurants for gourmets and foodies.

I had a business dinner here. Was a bit surprised by how grubby the entrance was with leaves blown in from the street littering the carpet. I had scallops to start and spaghetti Arabiatta both of which were very well presented and well cooked. The spaghetti had a lot of flavour. I was particularly pleased to find that the extensive wine list included Chateau Musar which is one of my favourites. There was a mix up with one of our starters so one diner had to wait about ten minutes for his starter but the service was otherwise very good.

We had a wonderful dinner here with business colleagues. Everything we had was top quality and delicious, but was short of being memorable. The evening had an added frisson of excitement when a billionaire divorcee, famed for her distinctive & extensive plastic surgery, turned up in a leopard skin cat suit on the table next to us. So whilst the food was not quite memorable, the occasion certainly was. An enjoyable restaurant for both the food and observing fellow diners. Exactly what you need when dining out in NYC.

Love the "Joans salad" , burger is terrific and the branzino special for dinner was perfect. The service is exceptional and although the price is a tad high it is worth every cent

Had a late brunch here and it was terrific. The ambiance is very nice and Carlo the bartender was very attentive. We had a mushroom & tomato and some champagne. Food was fresh and quite yummy.

We stayed in the hotel, and enjoyed a breakfast and a dinner. Great food, everything enjoyable and easy

We had dinner and drinks at the bar at The Regency. The atmosphere is chic and really nice. The staff was lovely, and they catered to our every need. I would definitely make this a go to place to have a drink/dinner! They have gluten free options. There are not many places to sit in the bar area, but you can grab a seat if you are lucky!

The bar is huge and the bartenders are quite friendly. It is a very, very busy "after work" place for New Yorkers, it seems. Exciting and fun. Lots of interesting people. The restaurant is quite good too. However, if you have the time, try one of the excellent restaurants in the area

Booked this restaurant from Oz for our Christmas Lunch in NY. The concept of 2 menus (brunch & lunch) was somewhat foreign to us which is why we sat for 30 minutes looking at each other before the lunch menu started. During this time the barman explained that someone hadn’t shown for work which is why we couldn’t have a drink...confused yet? Our waiter spent 5 minutes explaining to us why the earth us flat 😳. However when the food arrived it was with out a doubt the best steak I have ever had, and I’m a big steak eater. The Filet Mignon is fantastic, my wife loved the NY strip, the prawn (shrimp) cocktail was great. Let’s be honest all the food, wine, spirits & ports were great and more than made up for “the weird” elements

Regency is attached to the Terra Nova Hotel in Kingston and is a lovely compliment to the property. Festive, fun and safe. You can find yourself rubbing elbows with the who's who of the island at this lounge.

We thoroughly enjoyed the bar at our hotel! Props to Emily for taking great care of us while we were in town! She made great recommendations for after dinner and after the shows!

My son and I had lunch here and wanted a pleasant but not too long a lunch. Our service was excellent and the food was tasty and well-prepared. You can count on consistency in the food and I appreciate that. We were not rushed, but our food came out in a timely manner, which was great.

Our train got us to NYC before our room was ready at Loews Park Regency. So, we headed into the Regency Bar and Grill for a lite lunch. I had their tuna tartare tacos and marinated olives, while my husband had a salad and their tagliatelle pasta. The flavors were great and our server had a constant smile on his face. I also enjoyed their Park Cider cocktail. Other diners around us had just finished lunch and shared that it was one of their favorite places for lunch in Mnahattan! We returned to the bar after a Broadway show another evening, and had some bar snacks and drinks. The only disappointing thing was that last call was at 12:30 AND they literally turned up the lights at 12:45. This is New York, the city that never sleeps! Keep your bar open later!

I came here last night with a group of ladies for a business meeting and I had a great time. It is an upscale crowd where the waiters are extremely attentive and knowledgable. Christian, the maitre d', booked us a lovely area in the back room so we could have some privacy because there were so many of us. The sommelier knew his wines and recommended some very wonderful options. I would come back in a heartbeat! I am quite particular and was very pleased with this restaurant!

The Regency Bar & Grill has become one of my go-to restaurants for business lunches, and also for cocktails and dinners with friends (both local friends and out-of-town guests). Service: The service staff is exceptionally attentive and welcoming. The Director of Hospitality, Christian, is intuitive to guests' seating needs, accommodating their dining needs for various occasions (whether it be an important business lunch or a birthday dinner). I recently celebrated my birthday there. Christian and the servers made sure the evening was flawless and special for my friends and me. Food: The food has been exceptional on all of my visits. For lunches, I enjoy the Chicken Caesar Salad every time... so clearly that's a hit. The lounge area provides flexibility for dinner - offering both a bar menu and full dinner menu. The dining room is a convenient place for late afternoon / early evening business meetings and meals - the tables are perfectly spaced apart, enabling comfortable discussions.

This restaurant is off to your left when you check in. Breakfast and lunch/dinner menus are varied with plenty of choices. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. If it's not on the menu the wait staff will attempt to get you what ever meal you're interested in. All inclusive or ala carte options are available for breakfast. Omelets and French toast were delicious. Salads at lunch or dinner were plentiful; the burger and fries were delicious and the tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich is worth trying.

Was initially sceptical about having dinner here as I had read some bad reviews..but we checked into the Loews hotel late and was too tired to go anywhere else...so glad we tried it out! It was fantastic! Friendly staff and great food, yes pricey - but this is upper east side so it's expected. Would definitely go again

This cocktail lounge and restaurant are very conveniently located. Power breakfasts have long been known to be eaten and discussed here. This is a high-end establishment.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks, and everything in between.... service all day which is very very nice in a hotel. It is expensive, service is pretty good and the food is good - we had a better steak here than we did at The Grill in the Seagram Building and great spinach and salad...great berries at breakfast though missed blackberries....and they picked up and turned in a lost sweater.

The food, much like the hotel it resides in, is really something. While of course I have high expectations from Loews, the dinner we had was so good I didn't want to stop eating. The plates were larger than I expected. I'm pretty much a steak guy but for once I had fish (sea bass) and I was not disappointed in the least.

I was hosted in the Loews Regence Hotel in last June and i really loved it. The service was right on time, the food was amazing and my preffered place there is the bar! The waiters were really kind and fast as the good was really good, and the drinks very tasty. I eat many deserts and the chef is a kinda expert in sweets and pies. He must be! Cause every place i´ve eatten was just perfect.

If you want a table for breakfast, reserve early as they book up. But if dining with just one other person or yourself, please join the bartender who will take care of your order quickly and with good humor. I wish I could remember his name as he made my mornings!

I absolutely love the Regency Bar & Grille. I made a reservation through Christian and he took great care of us. It was a business meeting and we had a wonderful table. We were sitting in a quiet area, so we could hear each other speak. The service was prompt; the wine was delicious; and the table was very very nice. I am going to have all of my meetings here!

When I walked in Reverent Al Sharpton walked out with a big cash stash in his hand. lots of personalities . very good service . decent food. I find the room a touch chalastrophobic , noisy , and dark . enjoyed the experience . they do not push you out . I was there for + 2 hours for breakfast

Had dinner here with a big group of friends the other night and it was an unusually lovely dining experience. The meal itself was delicious but what really was memorable was the staff. Usually with that large of a table you run into some discrepancies service wise, however that was far from the case. The real stand out was the movie star handsome manager Christian, he was extremely accommodating and helpful. He went out of his way for us while also being serious eye candy. I'd be back just for him, ha! Lovely restaurant and people. Great for events, big dinners!

We were staying at the Loews Regency Hotel and chose The Regency Bar & Grill for our wedding anniversary dinner. We couldn't have made a better choice. From the moment we entered the restaurant, Christian Savaglia (Director of Hospitality) greeted us in the most friendly manner and took us in hand to a very special table. Christian knows exactly how to take good care of his customers. From start to finish, our dinner was very enjoyable. The food was excellent, and our server, Soulimane, was very friendly and attentive to our every need. Christian even planned a little "something extra special" because it was our anniversary. We could not have made a better choice of restaurant! Thank you to everyone! On our next visit to New York, we will be sure to return for another enjoyable dinner and evening.

I really liked the decor and atmosphere of this restaurant. Sadly I was not feeling too well as we arrived, so I do feel this hindered my overall experience. (Obviously not the restaurants fault). I had the halibut. I conks not eat much as unwell but what I did eat was lovely and cooked perfectly. However my husband had the lamb and loved it. He was impressed and he would absolutely return.

Once again the Loews Regency hotel never disappoints.. from the moment you walk in the door... the staff at the Regency makes us feel like a true New Yorker and that we have come home.....Being a former New Yorker and having our family there...we visit often and LUCKY US we have gotten to know many of the staff that are mentioned below! As always everyone is super attentive and friendly...from the Bellman Angel, Michael and Mohammed and Smiley Doorman Billy,Oscar and Ivan to the Hotel Security Bill and team, they cant do enough for you..Hello Mrs X, welcome back.....The front desk crew ,Abdul,Francine,Rosina Angelina,Kayra (just to name a few) always greet you with a smile with that "what can i do for you attitude to make your stay great"..... The staff at The bar and grill are terrific.... Hostess Erin and Vayia are so personal and welcoming along with Carlo,Lorenzo,Sam,Louis and others.... they greet you with a warm welcome! A nice perk is the complimentary coffee/tea and newspapers at the bar in the morning, such a nice treat...in the afternoon and evening the bar is always busy and has a great vibe Ivan, Giuseppe, kyle and John will make you your favorite drink, Henry,Ceaser and Johnny along with the other staff will take care of you and if your really lucky they will give you lots of popcorn...after all its the best popcorn in town! The concierge Robert,Ella, David and Kathleen are there to help you in every way or just to offer you a bottle of water! Managing director John Maibach is top notch and truly should be applauded for the great team that he has....front desk manager Adam and VIP manager Christopher Koliopoulos along with behind the scenes head of sales Gabrielle Lewis and staff are the reasons why the Loews Regency is run so efficiently with truly the best hotel staff in town! thanks once again for always going out of your way to make us feel like we are truly home! The Loews Regency should win a Oscar or Emmy or some sort of award for the BEST staff and service at a hotel in NYC! Because they make their guests a #1 priority!

The menu options are all quite tasty, but I have a hard time justifying $40 for a basic breakfast with coffee.

Had lunch here as I usually do when in NY. The servbice was slow and a bit unprofessional. I ordered a Grilled Cheeze sandwich and it was rock hard. Made with old bread. Terrible. The waiter made excuses and did nothing about it. I called the manager over. She was nicer, had it replaced right away. The waiter did not come over and check on it. In fact he stayed away for a long time. Both waiters huddled together and talking for quite a long time. Regency usually does much better than this.

My tuna was perfection, rare but perfectly seared, as were the accompaniments and the presentation, I would give it 5 stars. My husband's chicken was delicious, 4 stars. Our waiter - he was wonderful, and the room and ambiance is very nice.

Lovely place, great staff, great service, food and atmosphere and really yummy champagne! It's full of beautiful people and they were just the staff! Great place for breakfast, afternoon glass of something twinkly and coffee and dessert. Very stylish. Love it!😊

Night after a January blizzard met business associates at the Regency Bar and Grill. Upscale but not overly fancy, great menu, and waiters do not interrupt a business conversation, although there in a flash if you need anything... I like that.

Power Breakfast location, but there was an eclectic mix of patrons from people in work out gear, to suits etc. Great choices for breakfast

I live in Manhattan and am quite numb to high prices, but this place takes the prize and mostly because it is not worth it. My son's orthodontist is across the street and I had 90 minutes to kill while he was there. I was a bit hungry so decided to sit at the bar inside the Lowes hotel to have a quick bite. First, it took the bartender over 10 minutes to greet me (the place wasn't busy at all) but before that he shouted across the room something about wanting help. I ignored the shout as I assumed he must be shouting to some one else. I asked for a sparkling water and the menu. I passed on the $39 hamburger, because it just seems a bit absurd, and asked how long it would take for the kitchen to get the kale salad out. No idea, "when it's ready they'll send it out." The guy should lose his job. I gave him $20 for the glass of water and he (after what was at least 5 minutes of punching buttons on the machine) brought five ones for change and grunted at me. What an arrogant pig. I will never go back to that bar/grill (of course) and will take it further and never stay at a Lowes again. So terrible I had to share it so at least an innocent tourist doesn't get taken by the $15 glass of water.

I arrived and ordered the burger, server took the details of how I wanted it cooked, cheese choice etc. 20 minutes later the server returned to inform me that they had ran out of burgers (as two passed me to go to people sitting at the bar) and that they had also ran out of steaks. My drink was delivered at the same time as I was given this news, otherwise I would have departed. The server was then disinterested in serving me, ordered the Tuna Tartare which was poor and had no flavour at all. I found the restaurant to be soulless and that many of the staff seemed to have an attitude. I overheard the table next to me comment on how poor the food was as they walked out. Overall really poor and I would not return.

Traveling with business partners, we met for a casual dinner here since it was in our hotel. Comes across as upscale but not pretentious. One of our party had on jeans while the lady at the next table walked in with her fur coat and bling bling. Enjoyed immensely the white striped bass with calamari and toasted cous cous, while others enjoyed the kind salmon. All cooked perfectly and quite delicious. Great service. Very good experience. Pricey but consistent with this type of restaurant and the area. Reservations recommended.

The service is superb, the food average to good. The scallops were great the steak was ok. The interior is nice with a light modern touch. I only would go back if I am around the corner.

During our five night stay, we concluded every evening at the Regency bar for a night cap. Sonny, the Bar Master/Mixologist amused us with his welcoming personality and professional flair . This is what makes the Regency our favorite haunt!

We stayed at the Regency hotel during January and had the opportunity to eat breakfast at the Bar and Grill Restaurant. Breakfast was very average - we had poached eggs, bacon and toast. The eggs were ok, but the bacon was lukewarm when it arrived and were very tough to eat. It looked like they had just heated up some bacon that had been cooked earlier. The toast had also been toasted earlier and was cold. We may be a bit fussy over our Cappucinos, but it seems they were done in a rush. The cup was overflowing into the saucer and the coffee was average. You have waiters continually hovering around you the whole time and when it comes to paying they have expectations of a 20% tip as usual. The prices even for New York seem high and you have the feeling they are trying to rush you through the process. There is no feeling in this restaurant or vibe ! It's just a cash machine processing the hotel guest as quickly as possible. Have to say for a restaurant associated with a 5-star hotel this is seriously below par!

Even our very well known friend was unable to get us a table at the first two choices of restaurant, but there was no problem getting a table here - and now we know why! Add Lady Gaga with Tony Bennett filling out Radio City's 60,000 capacity on top of the Christmas madness & anywhere decent needs booking well in advance. Indeed, our friend was unable to meet up, but we wonder if it was our choice of venue? We were served by a multitude of different staff, some of whom appeared to have a very poor knowledge of English. The menus we found pretentious and uninviting, and the wine list somewhat like a dictionary to read. I have reasonable knowledge of wines from around the world and expect I know more than most. Despite that, I surrendered and ordered by asking for a decent "house" Malbec or Merlot. Quite a while later, a lady appeared who was clearly their expert on wines. I repeated the request and she recommended a wine as fulfilling our request. She didn't tell me the price, so I asked: $85. I said that was too much, and she then referred me to their $65 Moulin A Vent, which I know well and was pleased with. Regards the food, I opted for their lamb loin, Lady M their New York Strip, and friend Debbie their pork. We found it difficult to understand the menu and our waiter did little to clarify exactly what we were actually getting. I made a point of specifying to our Indian waiter that we like our food piping hot and that we send food back if it comes cooler. It did, with even the additional chips cool. Debbie decided to eat her pork warm rather than hot, but she was disgusted by the meat itself as it came with just about as much fat as it did meat. She is local, and said it was the worst pork she can remember being served, so much so that she declined any other option. Lady M's steak was tough as old boots, rock hard on the outside and simply poor. My lamb was actually very nice, apart from the fact that it was burnt to hell on the outside. Highlight of the night was another bottle of Moulin to go with the tasty apple crisp dessert. What really put us off all night was the staff. They hovered continually and were exceptionally intrusive. As an example, the wine lady stood adjacent to our table and was clearly able to listen to all our conversations. Waiters came to the table incessantly to refill water glasses or the wine. Staff were wandering round all the time. The two managers were also prowling round and round. Weird. In fairness, the desserts were on the house, but the bill still ended up over $300 for basically two bottles of wine, two mains, and three desserts - crazily high! The chefs can clearly cook, but at the prices charged here they are miles from the standard they are pertaining to. Our advice would be to scrap the current pretentious menus and replace them with a customer friendly version. The wine list is more like a phone book: replace it with a down to earth list of the wines that 95% of customers will want to order and have a specialist list if they deem it worthwhile for those more discerning clients who are looking to spend several hundred dollars a bottle. Sack most of the staff and get staff in who meet customers on their level. As is, I can't think of any reason to return despite the excellent Moulin (£25 in most UK restaurants but $65 here). I suspect things will change quickly here as they are simply so bad right now that someone higher up in the Loews food chain must surely sort this out - and that won't be easy as it is so wrong in so many ways that it would almost be as easy to start again from scratch. Advice? Don't go!

Lunch at the Loews Regency Bar and Grill was a chic, understated affair amid a sea of suits and ladies who lunch. Impeccably dressed waiters swish among the white linen tables, serving delicious fare and topping up glasses with sparkling water and carefully selected wines. I loved the menu as there were plenty of light and healthier choices such as the French Lentil Salad and fresh Atlantic Salmon simply grilled to perfection. An atmospheric lunchtime buzz which is very conducive to sipping crisp cold white from the Napa Valley and lingering over a delectable shared Tiramisu.

Had a breakfast business meeting here because it was within walking distance of my next meeting. The service team was attentive and came around at a good pace. Never felt rushed. It was packed out with every table filled. However, the noise level was acceptable. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We ordered the Salmon Benedict and a regular breakfast with 2 eggs and bacon. The orange juice was fresh.

This is a local favorite. Whether you live in the neighborhood or are visiting NYC, it is a nice place to meet friends. One thing I will say is that drinks are expensive so just have one!

Great bar to have a quick drink and a snack. We had two of their crafted cocktails and the Hamachi. Everything was great and unique.

Since the hotel was renovated and reopened in 1/14, the restaurant is bustling with energy. The food was quite good, the portions were not small. However, the drinks have become smaller, while the price has increased. They still make the best Cosmopoitan in Manhattan - always freshly squeezed lemon juice (with pulp).

Dinner at the Regency Bar was fine, nothing special. The Manager went out of his way to pay for my drink due to an unruly customer near me. Food was mediocre, drinks were good. The chopped Cobb salad was decent, but the fries were nothing special, although I liked the three dipping sauces that came with them. In total, the food was way overpriced. My total bill came to $124 (incl. tax and tip) for the Cobb salad, side of fries and two drinks. Breakfast was terrible. $30 for a cold, stale English muffin, glass of juice and cup of coffee. I also ordered a grapefruit, which was poorly cut, and it was the smallest grapefruit I've ever seen. For $12, I essentially got 1-2 bites of fruit.

I stayed at the hotel so I've used a couple times. Foods are good but service could be more. Staffs are friends enough but too slow. I spot them talking at the bar counter area and not looking at the dining area. Took 15 minutes to take order and 30 minutes to get food, and 20minutes to wait for table check. If you are in a hurry, I would not recommend but if you like slow dining, I think it is very nice place.

The Regency Bar and Grill at Loews Regency hotel well deserves it's reputation as a great place for breakfast. If you want to try, better make sure you have a reservation or you might have to wait a long time or sit at the bar (which is not really comfortable). On the other hand, if you need more than just some food no to go hungry at night, then you should go elsewhere. Dinner menu is limited, not really inspired and still costing NYC prices. So do as they say, eat breakfast and lunch, skip dinner.

A very nice restaurant with a great location. Very lively bar scene. Menu is somewhat limited but what they do servce is very good. The chicken pillard was a little over done but otherwise very flavorful.

We wanted a nicer full service breakfast with the entire family. The eggs benny, herbed omelet, and pastry basket were all delicious. The food is expensive as one would predict for a restaurant in this location.

My family was visiting from out of town and I wanted to treat them to a fun dining experience. My friend ate here a few weeks ago and couldn't stop bragging about how amazing the food and service was. She was unable to secure a reservation at the time and mentioned that the manager Christian went above and beyond to be able to accommodate her. She recommended that I ask for Christian to make a reservation and to prepare to have the best experience and meal I have ever had. SHE WAS RIGHT!! I ordered the African prawns and also the tomato salad....it was absolutely delicious. (my mom who tends to be a bit picky loved her spicy duck breast!) Not only that, but Christian fully lived up to my expectations, and more. I can not thank him enough for the service and I will definitely be back in the future!

Many locals know about this place, especially for casual business meetings. Family friendly. The bar really starts hopping at night, especially on weekends. The menu is rather pricey but hey, it's New York. If you want cheaper you'll have to stick to food trucks!

I'm a breakfast guy--so I'm picky and demanding. This place had it all --everything that I wanted and more. Not cheap--but not every day either! I met a friend for a leisurely luxury breakfast, and we were taken care of just as hoped for. No rush--plenty of coffee--and excellent food served as ordered. Slow getting the bill but no problem. I had the smoked salmon benedict which was perfect. My friend had a special order due to some issues--and that came out perfectly as well. I didn't know we were having a "power breakfast" (see website!) but I guess we were! But we didn't see or feel any snootyness or anything else--just a great place for breakfast. (We were dressed real nice--no tank tops or crocs--so I guess we were acceptable!) $100 yikes! but---why not splurge for breakfast once in a while with a great friend! I recommend this place very highly! Restroom, btw, was perfect as well--and I'm real picky about that!

There is always a scene at the bar area even if you having a glass of pellegrino with a lime or lemon.

Really lovely clean restaurant. Stayed at the hotel and so decided to have breakfast one day Great choice, everything cooked perfect, preserves were amazing Great coffee

We only had breakfast here and it was nothing special. The wait staff was lovely, but the food was extremely overpriced! We only dined here as we had a $100 credit, otherwise we would have gone somewhere else!

We like to come here for meals because of the quality of the food, the fine service and space. Anyone who wants to have a lengthy/quiet meal will be allowed to do so. It's easy to hear everyone at the table. Food was very good. Service couldn't be better.

Not often eat in hotel restaurant when not staying at the hotel in question. This one proved the exception to the rule that hotel restaurants tend towards the mediocre. Had a wonderful piece of fish for lunch washed down with a very nice glass of white wine. The wine by the glass selection was good enough. Very attentive service, not overly so. There's a nice bar up front though did not have drinks there. Did not break the bank, nice for Park Ave.

I came in to the Regency Bar & Grille and made a reservation through Christian, the F&B manager. This was a business meeting and a very appropriate clientele. My guests commented how lovely the table was. Christian was very accommodating and gave me a great table. The staff was delightful, the drinks were exceptional, and everyone was very accommodating. 100% coming back here!

The bar was packed when we walked in and loud. My colleague who was staying at the hotel got a warm welcome and we were shown to a nice booth in the restaurant. We were quickly asked about water and given menus but then it took 15-20 minutes to get a drink order including have to ask for wine menu (they had only gotten us a by the glass menu even though were we seated for dinner). Ordered a half bottle which must have been stored away since it seems to take another 10 minutes so we had been there quite a while and asked 3 different people to help until we got a drink. Food was fine but pricey and as noted by someone else, felt like we had dropped into a Cougar hangout. If you are looking for a quiet evening with good service, would go someplace else. If you want loud and to sit for a while you might enjoy it.

2 expériences the same week: Dinner and Breakfast. Service at breakfast time: too long, bad omelet and cold. Team very rude, It took 40 mn to get the order and no excuse, Even the manager doesn't care. Never had a so bad experience in a restaurant of a luxury hotel. Many others nice places around, don't go there.

The ambience in this bar is great. Service is superb and they draw a unique cross section of people. What you would expect in an upscale NYC bar.

Food edible e.g., ceaser salad a whole lettuce on a plate anchovies dressing maybe half an anchovie walked through it not impressed by any of the dishes very noisy man using the 'F' word non stop throughout 3 tables away - avoid

I love this place. Great scene. Awesome people. Nice staff. You have to try martinis at the bar. Best martini I’ve ever tried.

This is an easy place to grab a good breakfast when staying at the Lowe’s Regency. Omelettes are really nice as is the salad that comes with all breakfast plates. Service is spotty.

Even if you are not staying at the Hotel here and you want a place to sit a table or to sit at the bar and catch a game and snack this is a nice roomy place unlike most bars where your cramped up. The friendly staff will take good care of you here.

Had terrible experience with bartender Kyle! Rude and arrogant!Asked tea for my wife and had to hear nasty comment while he was walking away, like this isn’t a coffee shop, it’s a bar people should be drinking alCohol, so I ordered myself Old fashioned and this was one of the worst Old fashioned I’ve ever had! It wasn’t properly chilled and tasted very sweet. All the time that we spent there everyone around us were getting popcorn and us for some reason he skipped, probably because my wife was drinking tea?! felt very dissatisfied and ignored especially when you pay $10 for a tea and $24 for a cocktail.

Bar was fabulous, had a local crowd as well as hotel guest. Friendly and staff was pleasant. Ate dinner at a corner table and the ambiance was perfect.

Great hotel. Super location. Bar for drinks was great however tried food once and was put if do didn't use again. Toast was really still bread and food was average for the cost but worst part was a burger that should have been well done was rare- blood oozing on taking a bite . Put off ( in fact made sick) teenage son and could be a problem if someone had a necessity for food to be well done. Staff were apologetic and helpful but it didn't fill us with confidence to try again unfortunately.

We went for breakfast there after my grandsons play at a nearby school. One of us had something white in there water glass. All of our coffee cups had dried food on the inside and outside. The waiter gave each of us our forks and knives. My daughter's fork was covered in oil and had a piece of lettuce stuck to it. We couldn't believe how anyone could serve people with such dirty dishes and eating utensils. The waiter brought new cups and he had to take them back again. We would never go back there.

Okay, yes, it is a hotel lobby on Park ave...but come on, at least give us good service and great food. Rather we got mediocre service at best, mediocre breakfast, and decent dinner (we ate there 2 times). It was very comfy in the restaurant though and nice ambience.

We went several nights down to the hotel bar for some food, the service was great with a very friendly and helpful staff. The food (especially the french fries) was great and the drinks, even better! It also had a nice ambience!

Best egg white omelet! We only ate breakfast at the hotel but, each time were served generous portions, hot, delicious coffee & all with a smile!

We came here for a late dinner and had to order from the bar menu. That was not a problem. What was a problem was having to wait 30 minutes for our food and they weren't even busy. There were 4 waiters standing around chatting among themselves a few feet from our table paying no attention to us whatsoever, and we had to call them over twice to ask for drinks.

What a great restaurant. From the moment you enter you feel welcome. Christian at the front desk took care of us right away with such class and presented us to our table. Our server Franklyn was amazing, great smile and great service delicious food. The Regency Bar & Grill will be on top of the list of my favorite restaurants in the city.

Convenient restaurant/bar located in the hotel. The food and service has always been good. It is expensive. Breakfast will cost around $40 per person. Not unusual for NYC.

Really a $32 Hamburger and fries platter AND the hamburger was over cooked. $19 simple cocktails. We had 2 hamburgers, 1 salmon platter, 6 cocktails and 3 kidddie menu items and the bill was $683. I am embarrassed that I didn't get up and leave but time was of the essence. just walk around the block and you can find a better eatery for 1/2 the cost.

Very pleasant place throughout the day in a super location. Friendly and professional service and well prepared and presented menu. The restaurant has a nice open feel and the windows let in lots of light for lunch. The Joans chopped salad could be refined and improved. A local hangout for power breakfast and very active at cocktail hour.

Long known for its "power breakfast" the recently renovated Bar & Grill is gorgeous and a perfect place to dine with important clients. I lunched there recently with my client who was very impressed with the decor and service. We both had the Lobster Roll on a toasted brioche which was delicious. Given its superb quality in such a nice setting the $32 cost seemed quite reasonable.

We went here to use a credit associated with our stay at the Loews Regency. The prices are highly inflated no doubt due to all the people using the credit with their hotel stay, but that comes with the territory. Late lunch crowd was sparse, the wait staff seemed a bit disorganized and awkward but the food was solid. Breakfast was very lively and packed, staff was much more organized. Both meals were delicious (keeping in mind the outrageous pricing).

We sat at the bar everyday for a week while on vacation. Every morning we had a mix of egg dishes and pastry’s. Always fresh and tasty. The service for the bartenders was 5 star. Would definitely recommend 👍

Elegant and deliciious dining. The chef is very creative, service was excellent. We celebrated our 45th anniversary there. A very special place.

This is a very nice place for a business meeting or to have a drink with a friend but the food prices for a hotel bar are silly even by NYC standards. It'd be different if it was worth it. I'd pay $32 for a burger but it should be more than average. Cheapest option is a $19 appetizer. Have a drink, skip the food.

A little pricey, but absolutely delicious. We had a great meal here and really enjoyed some of the dishes, especially the duck. Desserts were a bit of a letdown though - a plate of cookies as dessert at a fine dining restaurant? Umm...

Hands down, the best service I've ever received at a bar. The moment you sit down you are greeted by one of the bartenders and given a cocktail menu, a glass of water, and a bowl of the most amazing candied nuts. The bartenders and staff are very polite and helpful. The cocktails are mixed to perfection. This bar has a very elegant feeling, while still being comfortable and given the opportunity to linger over your drink and people watch the other clientele.

We were told that this was a good restaurant by some friends but they went for lunch and dinner. We went for a Sunday brunch. The menu was very small. It was in an attractive room attached to Loew's Hotel. The staff seemed somewhat aloof. The hostess tried and to give us the worst table in the room and she begrudgingly gave us another table. There were not a lot of brunch type choices on the menu.I ordered eggs benedict and my wife ordered salmon and bagel. Our order was taken by a man named Lorenzo who disappeared completely until it was time to present the bill. The potatoes with my benedict were dark brown, cold, overcooked, and barely chewable. My wife's dish was just OK. The toast under my eggs was cold and thin and I had trouble cutting it with a knife. It was that tough. We had to wave down other servers to get water. Not once did anyone ask us how our food was, even when we asked someone to clear our plates and not noticed that all the potatoes were still on my plate. This was probably the worst brunch we ever had, especially for $56. The waiter threw the bill at us and someone else picked it up. Maybe brunch is not their thing but we will not give them a chance with other meals based on poor food quality and service. Their attitude certainly does not justify their product.

We had a late lunch, so we had the afternoon menu. Their grilled burger is superb! Thick, juicy, flavourful and in a soft delicious bun. The lobster roll was a nice size, fresh lobster and the bun was delicious. The fries....yummmm!! Service was the best we had in NYC.

We were tired so we decided to just eat in the hotel. I can’t say it was good, just average. The staff were nice but not professional, they forgot some items and tried to bring them out when we were finished eating, but they kindly took them off the bill because who wants potatoes for dessert? The burger is ok, ordered medium but was well done to say the least. It is convenient but pricey for average quality.

Really fine food here served properly, nice ambiance.. upscale, modern. Upper East Siders and a lot of out of towners. The breads are excellent... as are the pastas, the loin of veal, all vegetables... well don't think you can go wrong with anything here. Good wines by the glass. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

We were exhausted from walking, and all we wanted was something to eat. And yes, the restaurant (very limited menu) is part of the Loews hotel, and yes, it's on Park Avenue. But, a $32 burger? Was the cow out back? A $15 turkey "club sandwich" that was not a club.. it was just a sandwich. I asked for toasted sourdough. The bread was cold and I could barely bite into it, it was so hard. Their "house roasted" turkey was quite dry and chewy. But the Sprite was refreshing! and the service was prompt and polite.

Really enjoyed this bar - takes a while to get service because it is busy, but worth the wait! Ask for their peanuts - OMG good. The cheese plate is quite amazing as well.

The menu is decent, but you're gonna spend some money. We ate there a few times, mainly because we were staying at the hotel.

Excellent food, efficient service. Worth stopping by if you are in the neighborhood, but not worth a special trip.

After having been closed for a rather long time, due to renovations, the expectations of finding some touches of "a beloved place, the clubby library bar", after so many generations had come and gone, I must say that "change" is not always for the better. They could have recaptured just a little bit by mingeling "the old and new". Granted, those who have not seen what was there before will not know the difference. What was once a known class act in itself of enormous proportions the world over, has been diminished to nothing more than an aesthetically attractive place with absolutely no personality and soul to speak about. The locals are gone it seems, and while there are some interesting international tourists there, it is in stark contrast to the clientele of the past. We were a party of 4 with different age ranges from 25 and up to 75, each one with their own memories and expectations. We were serviced by 5 different staff members, drinks were wrong. This service was abominal, unattractive, no distinction between a busboy or waiter, general grooming leaves a lot to be desired. The food that night mediocre and very disappointing. A pity, another gem lost.

The bar needs a complete update. Its veen 10 years since ots beeb updated and it shows! For a bar that changes $35 for a martini, patrons should expect pride in decour and service. Please address

Host/Manager Christian is among the best in the industry. Professional, curtious and outstanding host. Makes you feel like a king!
Great Food, Great Service
The Regency Bar & Grill is excellent for both breakfast and dinner. I'm a fan of breakfast sandwiches. Their applewood smoked bacon with egg and cheese is amazing and makes two meals. My wife, a vegetarian, had a full selection of hot cereals as well as fresh fruit and berries. I had scallops for dinner seasoned in a unique way. The desserts are to die for. The restaurant also has an interesting clientele. One night a former U.S. President was there and most evenings there are recognizable actors and Wall Street figures in house.
