Nice spot for cocktails and bites

By SDS769 |

My husband and I checked into the Eventi Hotel on a Friday night for a staycation and didn't feel like going out in the cold for dinner. We enjoyed ahi tuna rolls, falafel salad and the fontina and shishito pepper pizza. Drinks were well made - particularly the Negroni and the smoked margarita. Service was a bit slow but we enjoyed ourselves. Great lively atmosphere.

Another Amazing NYC restaurant

By melb8212016 |

I have come to The Vine on 3 or 4 different occasions and have now had a staff brunch there for my office. It was so amazing and the service is always superb; top notch! The food is consistent, unique and serves just the right amount without having to stuff yourself. The catering dept for our brunch was so helpful. My office staff loved the brunch as well and said they'd never been to The Vine nor The Eventi and would recommend to all.

beautiful decor, nice people high quality food and drink

By JacksBack05101 |

I know these things cost money and they are competitively priced but for me there was a little sticker shock.

Outstanding Brunch/Breakfast

By Elle |

Recently had weekday breakfast at The Vine. Both the food and the service were excellent. I particularly recommend the Eggs Benedict.

Great spot for breakfast, lunch or snack

Wonderful food choices Very large portions and wonderful atmosphere The omelets are so good and such fresh ingredients

Horrible Service

By Robgus771 |

Visited the Vine with reservations for 7 confirmed They sat us at a sofa with a coffee table because there were no tables ready Had to ask server for drinks multiple times because he did not have a notepad and would forget I strongly suggest that there are many wonderful places to eat in NYC ...this is not one of them Horrible service and ambiance

Small plates, nice drinks

By Anne C |

This is a space on the first floor of the Eventi hotel, all the way in the back, through the lobby and bar areas. It has kind of an outdoor room feel, as the back "wall" is actually huge windows that open up in the warm weather. But even though this visit was in the dead of winter, it still felt sort of like being in a patio of sorts. We were looking for something to drink and eat to tide us over till we went downtown for a dinner, and this fit the bill beautifully. We got seated in a little two-person booth and ordered some savory small plates and mocktails (too thirsty for alcohol at this point). Everything was delicious and the service was friendly and attentive (we had been here in July with friends and at that time we had inattentive and snarky service, so this was a great improvement). Our only complaint was that the table was too small to have a a modest array of snacks and beverages on it comfortably. We were there early on a Friday evening and the place was already fairly filled and lively, fyi.

The salmon!

By TimeshareFamily |

We ate here just once while staying at the Eventi hotel, where the restaurant is located. The Alaskan salmon was nothing short of spectacular, and the price for the quality of the dish was surprisingly reasonable given the Midtown Manhattan location. Service was friendly, other than our particular waiter who seemed not to be on par with the standard set by everyone else in the hotel.

Conveniently placed for a good time

By MarylandKnights |

I'll keep it short as I didn't eat here, just had a couple of beers as the night wound down; I sat at the bar and ordered a stout. The bar staff were polite and well-versed in their trade, the ambience was casual with a fair bit of noise but nothing unexpected for a bar in a trendy upscale hotel. The outdoor seating area was fairly nice considering its in the city, with a really large projection screen for televised sporting events. The place was casual and clean, nothing cheap or run down looking. The crowd was mostly young up-and-comers in their early 30s, still shiny and upbeat, all talking about light and inconsequential stuff. The bar menu was short and varied, with something for just about everyone. I was slightly intrigued by the homemade cheese balls the guy next to me had a small bowl of (think Cheetos) but after thinking about it, decided I'd take a walk later on and maybe grab a snack along the route. Nothing super about it, but is a nice bar and that it happens to be in my hotel affords it another star! So I soaked up a bit of that ambience, then went to sit at the bar at L'Amico, just to say I'd been there. :)

Fantastic Breakfast!

By COtravelfam04 |

We had Sunday breakfast at The Vine and loved it. We ate too early for the Sunday brunch but were very pleased with our food. A great place for breakfast!

Lovely spot for a nightcap

By AnnieMagee |

We were guests at the Eventi Kimpton and stopped into The Vine for a nightcap. I had their signature Cosmopolitan and it was delicious. The Vine has a relaxed vibe and contemporary style. The service is attentive.

Really good lunch

By MES1948 |

Ate here while waiting for our room. Food was really good. A little loud however but worth a visit. The salmon burger was great as was the turkey club

Great Atmosphere!

By Cloverleaf3218 |

Had breakfast 2 days in a row at the Vine. Both days we arrived around 7:30 to 8 and there were very few other guests dining at that time so it was very quiet. We loved that the big garage type doors opened up to the outside. The weather was perfect when we were in town so it was awesome. The decor is fabulous, so many nice touches and so on trend. Since we only ate breakfast, I did not look at the lunch or dinner menus. We ordered off the menu, did not do the buffet which I think was $26 or $28 a person. I had the avocado and pea toast with was very yummy but huge portions. Two very large thick pieces of really good bread with tons of avocado. Be forewarned, if you order it, plan to share. The second day I had steel cut oatmeal which was good as well. We both had breakfast meats and my husband had an omelet. The staff is very welcoming, attentive and the service was great. Our breakfast was $67.50 one day and probably close to that the other day. It is an enjoyable place to have breakfast.

Great find..

Wonderful service, incredible space and good menu selections. Definitely a spot to get out of the hustle & bustle of Midtown Manhattan.

Breakfast & Lunch are Solid

By WeIITraveIed |

I had breakfast here as I was staying at Eventi and found it to be great. I also had lunch here while waiting for my room to be prepared. I had a grilled fish that was very well executed.

Good food, terrible service

By mavsfan120 |

I sure didn't want to rate this restaurant a 3 because our stay at the Kimpton Eventi was really, really good. However, we went to The Vine for brunch the Sunday we were leaving town and we had terrible service. It took a really long time for our food to get there. And, we saw others waiting and waiting and waiting for their food as well. The table next to us even went to the buffet and then cancelled their previous order when the server finally came around. I hope your luck was better than ours was.

a nice place for dinner or appetizers

By 642ruthaw |

my family of 4 - grandmother, daughter and 2 granddaughters enjoyed a wonderful dinner of appetizers and light fare in the lounge prior to going to a play. The food was well prepared and pleasantly presented. One granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed the grilled cheese sandwich and fries; my daughter and I enjoyed the charcuterie and cheese plate immensely. Service was ok.

A favorite with friends

By KAH99 |

I’ve been here 5 times now and I’ve been impressed with the food and service every time. A good example of the excellent service is I ordered something I just didn’t enjoy. The waiter, without me asking, took it off the bill. The atmosphere is fun and cozy at the same time.

Great escape in the blizzard today 👍

By tonys2106 |

My partner and I decided to grave the elements and walk to couple blocks to Macys .! With 12-15 inches of snow in a couple of hours and heavy winds, we ended up staying all day. On our return to the hotel (very tired!) we decided to eat at the Vine. An unassuming little restaurant, with a nice easy menu (that even had some Veggy food for my partner!) we really enjoyed it and the staff were very good (they made us feel genuinely welcome). My partner had a couple of glasses of a nice German white wine. we both shared a platter, wth various veg and cheese on flatbread with a portion of assorted olives .(👍) my partner had a salad with baby roasted beets and I had the vegetable curry (both unusual and good) we finished up sharing an Apple cobbler with ice cream and the whole lot came to $80. We will be using the restaurant again during our stay. Would also be good for a quite discreet meeting as its so laid back 😄👍😄👍😄😄😄😄

Fun, hip, with good comfort food

By Triponmesf |

I have breakfast here so often and I love it. Love the interior design, feels like a modern library. The food is always good, international, comfort, good drinks and cocktails. I specially like the outdoor terrace in the back which is open during the summer months. Service is great too!

Delicious Breakfast

By Donna M |

We had breakfast one morning at this restaurant while we stayed at the Hotel Eventi. I loved the atmosphere and the staff was very attentive. Get the avocado toast as it was delicious.

Accidental walk in, pleasant time

By YSophiaT |

The Vine is located inside the Eventi Hotel on 6th avenue, and next door to L'Amico restaurant - the entire thing is super cute, its got a rustic/barn look, mixed with contemporary finishes/decoration and industrial/metal details. I sat down by the fireplace at the Vine and ordered the Steamed Bao Buns and some iced coffees, I only wanted a quick snack. Both the drinks and the snack were really delicious, prepared quickly, and overall very enjoyable. I will absolutely return for Brunch hopefully next time!

Great breakfasts

By WhoGoesWhereever |

Oatmeal "with berries" hardly does it justice - a whole sliced banana, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, walnuts, raisins, honey. Or if you're really hungry, try The Vine's interesting take on huevos rancheros.

Great Breakfast!!

By lillian k |

Ordered waffles and it was one of the best I have had. Service was okay, we had to flag our server several times. We loved the decor and the open atmosphere. Definitely will be back next time I'm in NY.

Beautifully set in the rear of the hotel lobby.

By MooshLA |

Great staff, yummy food and varied menu. Check it out as its a beautiful design. I went there for breakfast and found it to be a great experience.

Cool Place for Hanging Out.

By GoldnAdvice |

The vine is located in the back of the Kimpton hotel. I met some friends who were staying at the hotel for lunch. The place had a cool vibe with plenty of cute cozy corners. We sat by the fireplace and it felt like I was at a friend's house. The menu has many options; salads, flatbreads tartar, etc... I ordered the asian chicken salad. The size was good, it was fulfilling and delicious. The service was a bit slow but overall it was a nice place. I give it my GoldnAdvice seal of approval.

Decent breakfast

By Gary T |

We had breakfast here yesterday morning and it was decent meal. My wife had pancakes which she really enjoyed and I had eggs with bacon, potatoes and tomato, both were good. Service was also good and the kitchen was fast.

Conflicting information about Breakfast on the website

By Ian M |

As a regular visitor to Eventi I have had many occasions to eat here. Generally the food is excellent. On my most recent trip I decided to have a late breakfast, so checked the website to see what time breakfast ended. Having seen this eases 11:30 I timed my morning activity to arrive at around 11:15. On asking for a table I was informed by the very helpful reception that all la cate breakfast finished at 11:00 and only a breakfast buffet was available. Checking the website again the breakfast menu says served until 11. I can’t help thinking this should have been clearer on the main webpage which lists the times for different services. They did book me a table at L’Amico at 11:30. This enabled me to discover that the fabulous Avocado & Salmon toast which was previously on the menu here has now reappeared on the menu next door at L’Amico. Overall a good place to eat but it would be good if they could be clearer about their breakfast hours on their website. Don’t get caught out.

Hip fun vibe here....

By Robert T |

Located in the Kimpton Eventi Hotel this is a great spot for drinks - they even have some outdoor seating opening onto a public space.

Average with nice environment

By Moli** |

We were staying closed to this restaurant and it was classified as italian in some of the sites. The menu is ok. The dishes are prepared not very italian, the service is good but they might go too fast if just a few people there. Price is ok

Fantastic breakfast , what a way to start the day in New York

By robert t |

What a great team from manager , waiters , runners and hostess to take care of you at the start of the morning. The menu is perfect and has more than you can dream. You can indulge yourself or go with a diet. The decoration is a masterpiece by itself, from the rest room to the chandelier and the exceptional Katz painting We encourage you to go visit Chai and his team for a perfect invigorating to the mouth and the eyes start of the day

Great brunch!

By cranberries0928 |

There's no better brunch dish than challah French toast, and I've never had it better prepared than at the Vine. Great brunch all around.

Vibrant flavors

By WestCoastIsBestCoast |

We just arrived and lines to Keens and other dining hotspots were 60-90 minutes. Starving, we opted for The Vine and we surprised on the freshness & vibrant flavors. Our surprise is merely a reflection of our bias about restaurants inside hotels. Breakfast was yummy too.

Good bar food and breakfast-

By CMKNY |

We stayed at the Eventi and enjoyed both an evening snack and breakfast the next morning. Small plates offered a few good choices for sharing along with a drink (the mixed dips / hummus and crackers was great.) Breakfast was very good. Service both meals was very good, with helpful and friendly wait staff. I'd go here even if not staying in the hotel> very good.

Great Date Night at The Vine

By DRezTheSunGod |

Had an amazing night out with the wife. With specific dietary restrictions, the manager, Nicole, was able to offer suggestions for anything on the menu we could eat. Everything was perfect. Food came out timely, and drinks were unique and delicious. Great smart-casual vibe, that feels like an oasis in the city. Can't wait to come back.

Delicious & Cozy!

By shirin714 |

The Eggs Benedict for breakfast, by far the best I've ever had in my life. Open doors in the summer, cozy fireplace in the winter. The flatbreads change w/ the seasons & never disappoint

Overall teriffic experience

By Julian O |

I had dinner here with a couple of friends and could ask for nothing more from this place. We shared appetizers, had mains and then dessert, everything was delicious. The service was great. The standards are set very high and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Left because of poor teatment

By 234benjamin |

We tried to go there for drinks at night and ended up leaving because of the poor treatment at the door. We were staying at the Eventi Hotel and entered the Vine through the hotel. We saw an empty table near the bar, tried to sit down, but a waiter told us to see the hostess, who was nowhere to be seen. When we found her, she took us to the same table but by then two gents had shown up to claim the table. The hostess went to talk to them but decided to back down. She took us to another table, but I said this wasn't right because we had "played by the rules" and got second pickings. We could have just claimed the table because we were there first. I asked her to talk to the gentlemen again. She refused with an emphatic "NO" and explained that it was a seat-yourself system so I was wrong to insist. But it clearly was not the case because we tried to sit down and were told to see the hostess. And why does her job exist if it were a "seat-yourself" system? Different rules for different folks. OK, we would have been happy with sitting at another table if she would have at least acknowledged the oversight. But none of that. I note that the gentlemen who grabbed our table were in suits and looked sharp and respectable; we looked like frumpy tourists.

Just popped in for a drink!

By elizabeth p |

Had a very good drink. It was the Moscow mule! If you like Ginger this is the drink for you! Great lunch time spot and the decor is lovely!

Food could take time to get to you

By Apurva N |

I was staying in the hotel, and decided to get breakfast here the next morning. I went with the French Toast and despite the low number of diners, it took a while to get to me. In true american fashion, the portion was generous, and it tasted amazing, from the cruncy almonds, to the soft yet firm apples. At $19, it was pricey to me, but seemed well worth the quanity and taste.

Not recommendable to eat at that place!

By Ernst S |

We had breakfast and dinner during our stay at Eventi hotel. Breakfast: Bread was like a chewing gum. The service was limit. There are two many people and they don't know what to do. Better to go to a nearby deli. Dinner: We ordered a steak and a salmon at 10pm, it was served at 11am and the food was cold. We returned the plate and had to wait another 20 minutes. Finally served but the steak was really WELL DONE, not eatable. The lady-manager explained that a salad is quicker served than steak and salmon! Not recommendable.

Nice ambience, well prepared food

By Melissa C |

Dined here a few times and although the menu was rather limit, everything was well prepared and tastefully planned. Good wine choices too.

Never on Weekends

By Rafael |

Was staying at Eventi for a Weekend wedding. On a previouse stop at Tne Vine , I loved my food and was looking forward for my long weekend stay. The perfect cappuccino on Friday morning was not available on Saturday. First attempt at a cappuccino showed traces of coffee after lab test- It was sent back. The second attempt required significant modifications by me. My omelet was under cook and under seasoned. I was told they don’t have the same staff on weekends. On weekends they could not cook to save their life. My recommendations: 🔹Keep the American Breakfast buffet. 🔹Offer pre packed ready-made food. 🔹Remove LAURENT TOURONDEL from the menu, or it will diminish whatever is left of your reputation.

SO fresh!

By Jessica H |

I got the bowl of multiple grains the day I got there and ordered the chicken club the day I left. Both were delicious and super fresh! There were people in and out of the restaurant the whole time I was there and the staff was able to serve and turn over seats without making any of us feel rushed! *It is pricey though. Both lunches where I dined with my brother were over $50 with a tip and no alcohol.

Dinner & Cocktails

By Brandon O |

We sat in the bar inside. It was a Friday night and extremely crowded. That said, the wait staff were helpful and arranged for a table for us when some other friends joined us. Food was fusion? and quite tasty - but the cocktails and beer were quite good. We had some finger food and 2 drinks each. Bill came up to about $200. Not the most affordable place - but go, to soak in the quirky decor, and to feel the NY vibe.

Cool spot

By Nathan S |

Breakfast is excellent, very rare to have restaurants on the ground floor with plenty of light. Good modern menu and great food and plenty of choices.

Just OK

By Lisa WLG |

I was staying at the Kimpton so thought I would give this a go for breakfast on my last morning in NYC. The ambience and vibe is pretty cool so that was a good start. I ordered the eggs benedict which was delivered promptly and looked amazing. There was just something that tasted odd. I think there was some weird spice in the hollandaise sauce. I left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Overall just average for me.

The worst bar staff in New York City

By Ian M |

I have visited this bar several times as I regulalry stay at the Eventi hotel in which it is based or rather I used to. I am giving up on the Eventi in no small part due to how rude and unhelpful the staff are at The Vine. Several bad experiences, the latest being told it was last orders, placing and order immidiatley and then being told the bar tender has shut the bar. This has happend to me before. Overall it is loud uncomfortable and with reall bad staff

Terrible Breakfast, Terrible service

By Frob60 |

Usually I will give a restaurant three tries but this was so bad it is off my list. The eggs benedict had no flavor. They brought my wife the wrong breakfast. The coffee was good, but they never returned to refill my cup. When they did return, after numerous tries to get their attention, instead of serving from behind us the server reached in front of my face for my wife's cup as I was taking a bite. Unacceptable! They have a breakfast buffet, it did not look appetizing.

Cool Vibe, Spotty Service

By MrCreegan |

The design and atmosphere are great and the food is very good. We ate and drank here four times during our stay at the hotel. Their coffee is terrific and as a bonus, they have a great late-night vibe although it is noisy. Unfortunately the service was uneven; on one occasion the wrong meal was brought out, causing a 25 minute delay until the right meal was brought out - and no comp or discount from the house for the mistakes and delay. On another occasion, we waited 20 minutes for a server to come to our table. Great concept and food, they just need to get their act together.

Maybe we just got unlucky

By RIPPhoebe08 |

Beautiful, well designed space. Ear-shattering noise level at 7 pm on a weeknight, considering the place was not that crowded. Maybe we just had a poor waiter, but we had to ask several times where our food was and when it would be coming out. We had ordered things to share as well as some main courses and before we got a chance to say we wanted them all to come out together he had gone off to place the order. The food itself was decent. Unfortunately we had to wolf it down as we had a show to catch and had already waited an hour.

Breakfast in New York

By Adel A |

I was walking down 6th avenue and I find myself at the Vine. The decor is somewhat homie and made me feel at home. My girlfriend and I had no idea what to order and asked for a bit of help. Chai said he would figure it all out for us, and so he did! The food was wonderful the chicken sausage are not to be missed! Honestly the best part was just letting the manager order for us.

Just okay

By wendymunz |

Nice menu choices done well. Would have liked more had the bowls had more of a mix to make easier to eat..... ie a full bowl of quinoa take a long time to eat vs have other veggies and foods to round out the recipe. Tuna roll was not great.

Poor service and incompetent staff

By Elizabeth Sam |

- Service was poor and very sloooow - My breakfast was taken away before I finished - They even mixed up the salt & pepper shakers

Adequate Brunch

By murtle264 |

Dropped into the Vine while we were staying at the Kimpton Eventi hotel in NYC where this is located. Had brunch there and would classify it as average due to the limited menu options and quantities available. In my review of the brunch, I indicated that having a Chef available to cook a selection of egg dishes would enhance the options.

Delicious and friendly atmosphere but it is NYC and not quiet

By Brasscupcake |

I met friends for dinner and we all enjoyed our meals. The waiter was friendly and informed.I had a healthy salad with seared tuna and salade was great.

Expensive medioca food and poor service

By zestrax |

My wife and I decided to eat here 31st jan for an anniversary dinner and what a major disappointment . The waiter a young guy seemed pretty disinterested in what we wanted kept rushing away before finishing our order even had to drag him back to order wine with the meal. Been at the bar for cocktails previously and the smoking margarita is great. But the food was dull and tastless despite being well prepared. Won't be going bar here in a hurry shame love the hotel stayed there twice. I recommend going for a quick cocktail but avoid the restaurant.

Cool Vibe/Limited Menu

By Cookie0123 |

Arrived late Friday night for a girls’ weekend and had made reservations which we had to push back to 9:30. Cool vibe and decor with separate spaces and levels for dining and the bar area. We were seated right away. Moscow mules were spicy and spot on. Limited menu but we recommend the calamari, mushroom flatbread and tuna rolls. Disappointed with the pork belly kimchi and would not recommend it. Waitress was a little “cool.”

Great simple food

By Peter E |

We had a drink at the hotel bar og ordered at few dishes. Food has great. Try it if you are staying at Kimpton Eventi

This Vine will bring you sweet rewards...

By Rick S |

The Vine is part of the Kimpton Hotel but this is way better than most restaurants offered by your typical hotel. This is where a lot of people came to enjoy the fine food and their street view café. Fortunately, it was a beautiful weekend and we were able to enjoy everything the restaurant had to offer. It was so good we decided to stay at the hotel (I'll be providing another review) and had a fabulous breakfast, skipping the buffet, and getting breakfast. I don't usually give many places a 5-star rating. I'm sure there are dissatisfied customers, as there always are, however our dinner, our accommodations, and breakfast were all perfect. It seemed like the owners really wanted us to become loyal. Well, they achieved that goal. Thank you!

Great Drinks, Great Service

By FSF220 |

Went to The Vine recently, and it was a great experience. Drinks were great, service was awesome. Sat at a table for about 2 hours, our waitress was always available when we needed. Ordered dessert, which was delicious. Wish I had a bar like this closer to home.

lunch

By RenkaMS |

I went for lunch with few friends for a special celebration. Although food was excellent I am giving 3 stars only as the service was beyond slow. It took 40 min for appetizers to arrive and I was not offered any drinks.Love the decor, settings and ambiance.

All day kitchen and bar in the Eventi Hotel

By Schnap |

Head in here in the evening for a drink to end your evening or give you feet a break in a comfy Chesterfield couch from walking during the day and enjoy a snack - I recommend sharing a mix cheese plate with the girls. Service always top, drinks well made and food is wonderful.

Late Night Drinks and Breakfast

By travelrads |

Usually stay at the Eventi when in NYC. Convenient but nothing special spot for a nightcap before heading up to room. Sometimes the late night bas service can be a little ditzy. Also a convenient spot for breakfast which is always good.

Great Venue

By cjguk |

Great place for breakfast or lunch. Nice cocktails sat at the bar in the evening although these were hit and miss depending on who was making them

Could not resist the breakfast buffet

By shoresmiles |

We were going to have just coffee in the morning, but when we walked by the buffet on the way to our table, I could not resist. It was delicious. This place is great for cocktails in the evening, too.

Good food, service was very slow

By Seasal001 |

The atmosphere is good. Great cocktail list and good menu. The service, while friendly, was very slow. It took us 20 minutes to get our drinks, and it was difficult to get the server's attention. This was a shame as the bar is cool and we enjoyed our food.

Poor manners and attitude

By Jon |

Poor manners and attitude from bar woman. Makes you feel like they are doing you a favour. Bar girl literally threw the cheque at us - no acknowledgement. No smile.

Great Breakfasts

By TomVDP |

Had lovely breakfasts here, sitting outside and watching the police officers walk through the courtyard to work was great

Much improved

By Ian M |

Not always been a fan of The Vine as a watering hole, although it have long been a great place to eat. Multiple visits on a recent trip have changes that view, bar staff have a much better attitude. They do a fab Wet Gin Martini and high ratings for the Moscow Mule too. Now an all around great venue.

Great food, slow service

By Grebss |

Was there for Lunch with coworkers. I loved the decor and setting. The food was wonderful and very tasty. My only negative comment was the service. It was extremely slow, It took almost 40 minutes just for the appetizers. The waiter was just ok, nothing special. I would go back for the food only but not the service.

Slow service & overpriced

By jillvandw |

We had a lovely stay at the Kimpton and decided to do breakfast at The Vine. I did the buffet which was decent (for $28.00) and my son ordered a large bowl of oatmeal. I was totally finished with my breakfast and the oatmeal hadn't appeared. How hard is it to put on oatmeal? We had to ask the waiter if there was a problem. He was non-plussed. It was a very pricey breakfast and we were quite disappointed.

Great place if you pick the right times

By Ian M |

I like The Vine, as long as you don't come here towards the end of a night when the bar staff are unbelievably arrogant. Can't fault their cocktails, just their attitude. The food is great and service from The tabs staff red hot. Avocado & Salmon toast is to die for, as is the Calamari Friti. The burger looked a bit plain until I tasted it. If you are staying at Eventi be sure to visit and even if you are not it is worth going out of your way to spend some time there.

Nice stop for an afternoon snack

By Farrah H |

While staying at Hotel Eventi, we decided to sample one of their restaurants for an afternoon drink and snack. The restaurant is very hipster with a patio that opens to a giant screen tv operated by the hotel. It was quite amazing to watch Germany and Italy play on this massive screen while fans cheered from the rooftop terrace and the restaurant. We enjoyed two cocktails and sliders before resting up for dinner. The sliders were great, so next time we visit NYC, we just might have to try their dinner selections!

Avoid, so much better options nearby

By Jason |

Absolutely terrible service, waited over an hour for a club sandwich. Turns out waiter forgot to order. I had to chase him down twice. Crazy slow and non attentive- waiter just hanging out in the corner laughing with other employees Vs serving, bar staff rude, and just hanging out. Red wine selection is consistently meh. Waited a half hour for a glass of wine while waiter is laughing in corner hanging out with other employees and bar guy is just watching sports, they need a manager here.

Breakfast

By free.spirit_traveler |

The restaurant is in the Hotel we are staying. Came down for breakfast . The ambiance was so inviting we sat right into lunch being served. For breakfast I had Belgian waffles with banana foster ,chicken sausage iced coffee I enjoyed it all.

Good foor and atmosphere

By MikeFromNY418 |

It is a lively place with wonderful vibe, good food, friendly service staff and very convenient. The one negative is they close at midnight the latest even on Thursdays and Fridays.

OK restaurant -- nothing special

By Edward B |

I ate breakfast at this restaurant located in the Kimpton Eventi Hotel. The food was OK, but nothing special. One day I had an omelette that was poorly prepared -- little more than raw ingredients added cold to the egg and wrapped therein.

Will be back

By Nancy R |

This is the perfect place for dinner, or even just drinks and appetizers. The food was delicious and the ambiance perfect. We had the best ever calamari, flatbread, and octopus, among other delights. Our desserts, tiramisu and and a rhubarb tartlet, were to die for. The chef and his team really outdid themselves on this, our second visit.

Brunch worth coming back for

By foodieO |

Skip the very limited, average breakfast buffet but go for the a la carte menu. I had spinach, mushroom and Gruyere omelet and it was perfect, everything in the plate was delicious. The servers were very attentive yet discrete (you don't notice they've refilled your coffee and cleared dirty dishes on table). The manager was very nice to come and explain that there's a slight delay with my order as the kitchen is having some issues but reassured me that it was on its way. The omelet came out perfect, fluffy with enough filling and gooey Gruyere. Loved it!

Great food and drinks

By Dame-Carro |

Had a work reunion in the library sitting area. The cocktails were outstanding, never had a better old fashion. We enjoyed a variety of small plates to share. The meat and cheese platter was an abundant variety of high quality delights. The sliders are really good and go well with a cold craft beer. The service was excellent given the busy crowd.

Great atmosphere good wine selection

By Fatcat B |

The ambiance was warm, friendly and there is a section of the vine that you can reserve for gatherings/meetings. They have a great selection of appetizers and they were yummy!

Love The Vine!

Beautiful restaurant with a great staff! Our server, Erikson, was amazing! Great drinks and food! Cannot wait to go back next time I visit NYC! Loved the frozen drink, Frose! Delicious hamburgers, french fries and flatbread! Love the decor too!

Good food, great prices

By Teresa R |

I stopped in because I had a couple of hours before I had to leave NY and did not want to leave on an empty stomach for a long flight home. I AM SO GLAD I DID. The food was really good and served quickly. The wood roasted chicken was sooooo good! Wish I could get it back home!

Funky and Fun

By John B |

Great service. An interesting place with a small and sort of oddly laid out footprint. Food is fresh, good portions, lots of farm to table and artisnal stuff. Nice but small bar and wine venue. But we really enjoyed the sliders and the huge charcuterie board. Burger was really good, too.

Loved the bar but

By Matt L |

We stayed at the Eventi for Christmas and spent a lot of time in the bar. I will say it's very trendy and we did like it. Very reasonable prices and some great drinks. The food was very good. Now for their down fall! The bartenders are grumpy, not very friendly and slow as he'll. For such a busy bar it takes about 10 mins to get your drinks . Our last couple nights we couldn't sit at the bar we sat at a table, the waitress was friendly but it took at least 10 mins to place our order then another 15 for the drinks to arrive. The food does come quick. Being in the industry business and this was to happen in my place I would have replaced the Bar staff immediately. They don't see to care. I must make it clear it's not the servers fault they just collect the drinks. We did eat at the resturant for breakfast and it was great. We will be back as the hotel is in a great location. Service 3 out of 5 Drinks 4 out of 5 Price 4 out of 5 Food 5 out of 5

Drinks, food, atmosphere- A+

By Michelle E |

The food and ambiance were impeccable. The place was packed, yet we did not feel crammed-- the indoor/outdoor seating is a huge bonus. The flatbread, chips & dips, frosé, cheeseballs...everything was delicious! Had a very chic New York-feel. Definitely coming back!!

Had drinks here before going to L'Amico next door

By Mike Hunt |

This is a popular place inside the Kimpton Hotel. It is new, hip and the main place to eat/drink regarding the Eventi.

Delicious Fare

By AdvnturAwy2SmWhr |

I was staying at the Hotel Eventi and had my nieces coming in to meet me late at odd times. What better place to join up than a great bistro like the Vine. Casual chic with food fare running from great bruschetta to burger, and a super hummus dish. We all had something different and shared a bit of each other's plate. Prices were reasonable for NYC fare especially if you share a dish or two. It was early on a Friday so we were out by 9 or so to another commitment, but I would bet it get's pretty busy come the later evenings as, it opens up to the outside and the ambience is really cool for a later evening crowd. Food overall like said was really good, more along the appy, tapas line which was what we ordered, but I think you could get heavier meals there as well. My one niece who had the burger raved it! Good alternate to the heavier meals at the Italian restaurant other side of the Hotel as well.

Great Decor, Service, and Food!

By Ron R |

I had drinks here one evening and breakfast one morning -- very busy, urbane vibe -- love the electrical cables hanging from the ceiling. Service can be slow but it is very friendly and professional. I think it is a great place to hang out after a long day of meetings or to start the day!

Perfect for pre MSG event

By MookeyBlaylock |

Popped in here before concert at MSG. Great vibe, and good appetizers. Stays open til 1pm, so we were able to pop in post concert. Will definitely return

sssshhhh--a gem

By Jeffrey K |

I did not have a reservation after a long day but didn't want to walk anywhere. Vine took me right away. Jesus was an amazingly attentive waiter. A great selection of wines and whiskeys, and I enjoyed the tuna roll and grilled octopus salad--both superb. The vibe is fun, a bit noisy but ok for a Friday night. Excellent experience.

A pleasure

Our family was staying at the Kimpton Eventi and we enjoyed dinner at The Vine NYC. The service, food and dessert were excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed by our entire party.

Great service, good food

By notesbymint |

The turkey club was delicious and the wait staff very personable. I was able to select a meal based on the staff's honest opinions paired with my tastes.

As a watering hole , this place is tops !

Bring your thirst, and if you're hungry they've got you covered too. Fantastic Raspberry Cosmo ! The nicest Bartender & Servers in the area !

Cobb Salad!

Please do yourself a favor and order the cobb salad. It's amazing! Great spot for drinks before dinner or breakfast.

Comfortable place, great location

The Vine Lounge The patio seating was excellent. We had a view into a semi-public space just west of 6 Avenue just inches from the wall of the restaurant which was open to the outside. The food was very good. So was the service. The prices were fair. Here’s the details: Rose Esterelle, glass, 14 Sazarac, 16: Excellent, though I am still wondering if the price bump from the Poison Girl is equal to the difference in quality? Charcuterie & cheese board, 19: Excellent, and a good value. All the items were delicious. The bread elements were see-through slices of crispy toast. This led to less bread consumed than you might with a similar item at another café. TIP your meal can go fast if you allow it to BONUS a variety of seating types – tables, bar seating, living room groupings – enable a variety of mood-setting TIP cocktails pricier than most TIP no happy hour

Poor service, poor lighting, dirty rest room mediocre food

By Joanne D |

I think the title says it all! We ended up at The Vine because our concierge recommended the Italian next door but it was fully booked. Our waiter was extremely unhelpful, when we asked what he recommended his reply was “nothing, I wouldn’t eat any of it!” Eventually he suggested something which my friend order, but the portion was so small she was still hungry after. The lighting was really dim, so my seared salmon, cauliflower couscous and eggplant (aubergine) mush just looked a very unappetising brown bowl of food! The bins in the rest rooms were overflowing with no toilet paper left. All in all an expensively disappointing experience!

Great Place and Vibe

By Heidi D |

We recently had drinks and appetizers at the Vine, a small bar and restaurant in the Event Hotel. Close to Penn Station yet in a quieter area, the Vine was just what we were looking for. Small menu, but options suitable for the carnivore and vegetarian alike and nice drinks and coffees. I enjoyed my Proseco, and my husband really liked the smokey margarita. We also had a great squash flatbread and an order of tuna sushi. Both were delicious. I would definitely return. Noise levels varied throughout the evening.

Great breakfast

By VinoVeritasZZ |

We bypassed waiting for brunch to begin and elected to have breakfast at The Vine. Service, food and selection were all terrific.

Service Could Use Improvement-Breakfast

By C L |

Four of us went to The Vine for breakfast; we were guests of the hotel. I would say our food was very good/excellent. However, the service could use improvement. Our meals took FOREVER to arrive, and we were one of 3 seated tables. The staff walked around with our food confused which table it went to. My husband asked for a bagel with his meal, which they forgot and didn't bring out until we were almost finished. Based on the food, I would recommend, but be prepared to have patience.

Terrible breakfast service

By AH957 |

Ordered individual breakfast set form the menu, turned out to be food from the buffet putting together in a plate and served. They said :”It’s your choose if you want to order the same things from the buffet.” Never come to this restaurant again.

great food, understaffed

By Kim and Jim B |

Stayed at the Eventi for three days. Went there for brunch, cocktail hour, and coffee before we left. Here are all three reviews: Had brunch the second morning at The Vine--really great spread--eggs, potatoes, smoked salmon, coffee and juices. Walked away loving the Vine. We were refused service at L'Amico because we weren't going to get dinner before our show time, so we came back to the Vine for cocktail hour. Had a martini and the cheese board, and the rum/scotch cocktail and the sushi roll. All were very good, but it took over an hour for one round of drinks and two appetizers. Our server said they were very understaffed and that's why we had to wait so long. We wanted to get more, but had no time. We were checking out but had to wait an hour for our car to come. Went to the Vine, and said we wanted to just sit with some coffee before our car came. We were refused to enter in the dining room and had to sit at the bar to get coffee. I ordered coffee from the bar three times before they got it to us. We are Karma Rewards members and spent $2000 on our room and were refused service in the restaurants twice. Realized why brunch went so well--they didn't have to do anything. This really needs to be taken care of for a Kimpton property.

Great dinner

By Benjamin R |

Went there with my friends and the food was the best! Try the hanger steak! Service is good and try there home made flatbread!

Great for a drink but not to eat.

By Mrs M |

Loved this place for a few cocktails before going out but tried breakfast on our last morning and it was a shambolic affair. Ordered Bagel Lox which for those who don't know is smoked salmon, cream cheese and capers with a bagel. I actually pointed to the description on the menu and the server said "bagel yes" I pointed to it again and said "yes please the bagel" Up came a bagel with cream cheese. I asked if the salmon and capers were coming separately and was met with a confused face. I kept repeating salmon over and over again but the foreign server kept firing back at me "Sall man what is Sall man". He grabbed the menu and stalked off. He returned apologising. No problem for me I said. Eventually the "Sall man" arrived with 5 capers... But he kept on and on about it to the chef within my earshot. "She asked for a bagel. She no mention sall man". He must have repeated this 5 times to the other staff while I was sitting there. It really was not that big a deal! If they can't get a bagel right what chance have you got for dinner. None, so I won't go back.

LUNCH

We stayed at the ajoined hotel the night before and of our wedding and the highlight was our delicious breakfast

By Erica M |

The morning after we got married we had breakfast here and it was so good. My breakfast was delicious, I had an omelet with asparagus, cheese and mushrooms, it came with a tomato au gratin (I believe) and a small green salad with a light vinaigrette. The service was awesome. We returned on a separate occasion and brought our 5 year old nephew who is not always easy to feed. The waitress went above and beyond for us when my nephew asked for an apple (which was not on the menu). She went to the hotel and asked their kitchen staff for an apple and had it cut for him after we told her she didn't need to. We appreciated her doing that, it was very sweet and she made my nephew smile after we had a very busy day at the museum. Especially since he only ate 2 pieces of the apple and then devoured my pizza. Each time we visit the service is better than the previous. We will continue to come back to vine and we always recommend to our friends.

Sprawling restaurant/bar space with cool apppointments.

By kathmandu91 |

One of the trendy renovated NoMad buildings. Sprawling space, coolly designed. Connected on one side to the Venturi hotel and on the other side to a cool public space between 30 and 31 Streets. Popular with young professionals. Food is decent.

Great discovery

The restaurant looks great. We really enjoyed our dinner all of the courses were delicious and the service was perfect!

An excellent birthday diner

By Clément D |

I went to The Vine with my parents for my birthday diner. I made the reservation and did not mention any birthday at that stage. The diner was exquisite, and the gentleman serving us was even better. He was really professional and by that I mean attentive, discret, efficient and communicative. He managed to hear that it was a special event and at the end of the diner brought me a little birthday cake. This little attention turn this really mice experience in a really unique one. Concerning the food, the menu offers various kind of fusion type dishes. For instance, my starter was shrimps and herbs wrapped in little buns, with a little squish of lime it became one of the most fresh, creamy and spicy savor I had experienced. My entrée was a nice steak with a Cafe Parisien sauce. The meat was perfectly cooked, with a little crisp on the outside but tender in the center. Overall, my experience at the Vine was outstanding. I definitely recommend the restaurant, even the ambiance is delectable (maybe too noisy if you are looking for something quiet and boring)!

So delicious!!!

The Brulee Grapefruit... lets just say I dream about it! My husband thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet and he is a real breakfast guru, we will be back!

Very good breakfast, great looking interior, affordable prices, attentive service

By RGSOUNDF |

Great breakfast, forgiving prices (especially for an eatery located in a hotel), amazingly creative interior design, very decent breakfast menu, good food, polite and efficient service. Very good experience on the usually standardized NYC breakfast scene. We would definitely recommend an AVOCADO & GREEN PEA TOAST (7 grain bread, feta cheese, sprouts, lemon zest, only $12) and FARMER’S OMELETTE that comes with an abundance of 3 choices (tomato, onions, asparagus, bell pepper, mushrooms, fresh herbs, ham, bacon, sausage, parmesan, goat cheese, cheddar, gruyere/$20). One slight turnoff was the fact that the smoothies were all pre-made. Otherwise, definitely recommended.
