We live in the neighborhood and wanted to try something different from our usual spots. We wandered in on a Weds night because the outdoor sidewalk tables were filled and folks seemed to be enjoying their dinners. Our experience was fine but not spectacular. The inside has way too many hard surfaces, so the noise level is really loud and there were a number of younger families with screaming kids, which just made it all worse because the sound echoed. The staff is attentive and courteous. Our food was average at best. The place advertises its menu as all natural/healthy cuisine but it's a basic American fare restaurant. The spring roll appetizers were just your typical friend spring rolls that you'd get at any Thai restaurant - yummy but guilt-filled (I incorrectly assumed they would not be fried since I though they were focused on healthier items). I had the burger and the meat was really bland. My husband had the steak and it was undercooked and chewy. Again, nothing was "horrible" and we certainly ate it all, but it did not leave us wanting to rush back. They do have plenty of large tables and seem quite accommodating of young families with infants, so it is a good place if that's what you need.

We came in late in the afternoon for a snack and a drink. They let us know the kitchen was going to close in five minutes so we ordered quickly. Gluten-free pretzel! Of course it was delicious. The fries were also perfectly cooked. I wish we would’ve had time to come for lunch. Drinks were also excellent. I had the tonic in time. Another person had the passionfruit drink, which was sweet but good. The winner was the Mezcal drink. I forget the name they let us sit there for over an hour, we were the only one in the restaurant which was very nice. I know I’ll be back for a meal and not just snacks and drinks

Looking for a vegan breakfast and came to this spot. So glad we did. Buckwheat pancakes were very good, I was pleasantly surprised. The tofu scramble was also very good as well. We bust out laughing because while eating the pancakes that came topped with berries I very quietly said they'd be really good with syrup. Seconds later it appeared and we thought they were mind readers as well as lovely servers!

Tasty. Food quality is number one when I eat out. My entree was Korean Flat Iron Medium Rare. It arrived beautifully cooked, sliced, and juicy--not just tempting me but luring me to dive in. And I did. The steak was all that it promised. Delightful. My wife and adult son also enjoyed their meals. The ambiance was NYC chic. Our waitstaff was attentive and eager to please. The cost was well within bounds for NYC. Trustworthy. This was a plus. The morning after dining here I went out to breakfast and found that I had left my AMEX card at Spring Natural Kitchen. Leaving a major credit card somewhere is truly disturbing. After breakfast I walked over to Spring. The bartender looked at me, noted my panic and said-"You left your credit card?" With relief I said "Yes." He checked my name before returning my card. That's why I say "Trustworthy."

This is a popular, modern eatery on the Upper West, a lovely menu--very family friendly and super casual. Papageno would have eaten there every day, he had a crispy chicken dish that had a slight tea-scented sauce that was out of this world. The meat dishes all looked great. But I ordered vegetarian, and the Miso noodle dish I had with tofu "chicken" was just a bunch of sweet pad-thai type noodles with a half a cake of tofu that had been grilled to look like a piece of chicken on it but was just a big hunk of tofu. It was so gross I ate just enough to satisfy hunger and that was it. The waiter did take some money off the bill because of it. We had the same luck with desserts--Papageno got a creamy delicious gelato, and I had a grapefruit sorbet that was icy and chunky like it had melted and been refrozen, or just old and solidified... Anyway, it was recommended to us and I'm sure I just ordered wrong. If you're a meat eater, you will love this place.

What's the point in making a reservation if the restaurant just says, and I quote, 'Well, we're busy" when you show up on time. No apology, no offer other than to wait until a table becomes free. Unbelievably bad service and customer relations.

No lines for Sat brunch. Quick service, amazing food. Recommend the Lamb Sausage Benedict and the challah Monsieur C sandwich

Nice place for lunch near Children’s Museum of Manhattan. Kid friendly with kids menu. Adult menus has vegan and gluten free. Egg white veggie omelette very good. Need to ask extra dressing salad is dry. Place is very clean. Has TV and a bar.

Amazing food that is actually healthy! The menu has so many options and lots of creative items. This place has been around since 1978....that says a lot! I will enjoy a meal here every time I am in NYC.

We joined friends who had had several very positive dinner experiences there -- they (and we) were chagrined to discover a very different menu because of a change in ownership (and/or chef). Very little sounded appealing and then when my wife who is on a limited dietary regimen saw only one item that would work for her, imagine her and our reaction when the server told us "sorry, we don't have that tonight." So, we said "nuts" and got up to have dinner next door at Arba (excellent).

Recommended by New-Yorkers living in the neighborhood, it did not disappoint us. It was full of people during busy Sunday brunch time, but they found a table for us and we were seated immediately. The staff was fast and caring, appearing when you need them, someone is constantly there to refill water, take an empty plate, or offer another slice of their delicious bread. The menu is expanded to satisfy different dietary preferences. Good quality ingredients make common food taste absolutely delicious! Even if you’re a big salad lover, you will be happy – their salads are big enough to feed a small village; I like that, and the chicken was grilled to perfection. It’s not too far from Central Park and the American Museum of Natural History. If I’m ever in the area I will definitely eat (and drink) here again!

The first time I ate here I was thrilled. A restaurant serving fresh, healthful food where you could get a steak and a dry martini. Something has changed. The food was utterly bland. Can you imagine falafel without harissa or any kind of tasty sauce? A "dry martini" full of vermouth and with a squeeze of lemon to boot? Loud, loud, loud. No cappuccino? Don't bother. Its seen better days (and nights). I will say we were pleased a manager came out after we left meagre tips to ask what was wrong. We probably named too many things that were wrong to hope they might all be corrected. But the effort was appreciated.

I would have eaten at this restaurant every night. The food was cooked perfectly, delicious and filling. Service was excellent. I had the Angus Beef Burger with saute mushrooms. Came with hand cut fries.

Me and my husband are from the UK but recently flew out to nyc to get married. We got married in Central Park and wanted a restaurant to bring our guests too after the ceremony for lunch. After scanning all nearby restaurants and contacting a few we chose spring natural kitchen and we are so glad we did! From the first email, rus was so helpful, emailing back straight away to any questions we had. The restaurant setting was perfect, we didn't want somewhere too formal but still wanted somewhere nice. The food was delicious and plentiful. We were given a set menu for our guests to choose from, and it had great choice for vegetarians and gluten free options also. My mum even said it was the best meal she had ate all holiday! Staff were attentive, very friendly and matched the relaxed vibe we wanted to create for our wedding! Thank you spring kitchen for being part of our special day!

We stopped here for lunch having looked in at the highly recommended Balthazar nearby and balked at the prices! We had a super lunch; a real bowlful of tasty salad washed down with freshly squeezed lemonade and local beer. We sat outside. The waitress was lovely. Pity about the roadworks ! Not the restaurant's fault!

After waiting quite some time for a server we ordered 2 hamburgers from their brunch menu. My wife is gluten free and ordered a GF roll, I have dairy issues. We both ordered no cheese. After waiting over 20 minuets for our lunch to come out, it was warm, not hot. The fries were ice cold halfway through our meal. My burger had cheese on it. My roll was so stale it fell apart. My wife’s GF roll was as hard as a brick! There are so many GF bakery’s in NYC, there is no excuse for a frozen hockey puck from Walmart. We complained and the manager noticed the stale rolls and cheese, he was very apologetic. They offered to make us new food but we didn’t want to wait another half hour. They were nice enough to deduct my burger off the bill. After waiting some more they brought us our bill. I handed our credit card to the server and my wife went to the restroom. When my wife came back, we still did not get our receipt and credit card back. Several minutes later, our server said there was a problem with their CC machine and asked if we could pay in cash. Since we don’t carry cash with us, this was a problem. After a few minutes she said lunch was on them. We did not come here for a free lunch and have no problem paying $$$$ for great food and service, but this place offered neither. The gentleman who refilled your water glasses was spot-on! Maybe they can get some tips from him.

A friend took me here for dinner and what an excellent choice! They have a nice ambiance, very attentive staff, a drool-worthy menu, and the drink I ordered was truly scrumptious! I got the chicken burger and seriously, it was so delicious. It absolutely hit the spot. And their fries are on point, too. My friend got a chicken salad and reported it was also delicious. They also do some super yummy sounding vegan options. I look forward to going back!

Great atmosphere, service, drinks, food selection and location in So Ho. Highly recommend. Lottos healthy options. Located at 98 Kenmare St.

Our party of 3 adults and 5 kids had a good meal at Spring Natural Kitchen. It isn't much to look at from the outside, yet inside it is a cute restaurant. We have food sensitivities in our family and our server was able to accommodate our diet. My chicken burger was great and I appreciated the non-starchy sides like steamed veggies and fruit. There is a kids menu. When visiting the Natural History museum, I recommend walking up the two blocks to this restaurant. Be sure to give yourself time. Our order too a little bit to come out.

When a restaurant has natural in its name it creates a certain expectation about the dining experience. The menu at Spring Natural Kitchen certainly fits that expectation. A variety of dishes that offer choices for vegans, vegetarians, and beyond, Spring Natural posits itself as a place to go for food that is fresh and healthy. Our meal was such a mixture it's hard to give it a rating. One dish was well made, well seasoned and delicious. The other was barely edible. And what made the bad dish BAD wasn't just the poor ingredients (why of why do restaurants insist on using mesclun if they cannot keep it fresh?!). It was the response to the problem that really sunk my rating. When a customer asks for fresh lettuce in a salad because the lettuce in the bowl is rotten, it isn't enough to nicely replace the salad. You have to bring new, un-rotten lettuce! A second bowl of the same stuff doesn't fix the problem. Other than the good/bad food, our experience was average. Staff was nice but not in any special way. The restaurant is attractive but not remarkable. All in all it wasn't a terrible meal but, with all the nearby choices, I can't think we'd ever go back.

I could taste the ingridiance it was made of in stead of the artifucual favors you find in most food.

The food is pretty good brunch fare. I had the latke with smoked salmon and crème fraîche which was quite tasty. The best part was the bottomless brunch. We got to try mimosas, Bellinis, and passion fruit margaritas. The carafes just kept coming and coming! Very good service and very generous too. Also, the chocolate zucchini cake was delicious at well. The bottomless brunch was a very good deal, and was really enjoyable.

Service was very quick and friendly, the food was very, very good for such a small shop, and there were many people from the Upper East Side. Very good for a quick meal.

we were four and went there for lunch. the food was simple and well prepared. each one of us were satisfied. Pulled pork sandwich, green power salad, black beans, a very tasty white egg omelette for me. the service was friendly. the decor is cosy and simple. we liked it.

After hoofing it through the Museum of Natural History all morning, my daughter and I were hangry. We don't eat much meat, so the menu and positive reviews of Spring Natural Kitchen appealed to us. The experience exceeded expectations! Good beer selection, wonderful pressed juice options and staff was attentive and friendly. My Vegetable Red Curry was fantastic - big, bold flavors with loads of veggies (squash, chickpeas, carrots, mushrooms). I wish I had a place like this in my neighborhood - I'd eat here all the time!

Spring Natural Kitchen has a fabulous menu including some great vegetarian and vegan options. The service is excellent - both prompt and friendly. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. The specials are good value for money too.

I ate too much here: the Vietnamese Spring Rolls, $9, were very tasty with accompanying sauce, but the ingredients could have been chopped a bit more: the carrot sticks poked through the very thin wrap, and you forget they're supposed to be rolls, instead of crudite. The Homemade Vegetable Dumplings, $11, were the best dish we had. The Plain Jane burger, $14, was as advertised, plain, bland, even with a lot of extra ketchup added to the too thick Impossible Burger. The Truffle Parmezzan (their spelling) Fries, $8.50, were very tasty, but were stuck in clumps. Maybe there's a way to retain all the cheese without making bundles. We'll be back, and maybe focus on starters.

Great choice for after-NYC-marathon meal with friends and family. The staff is super friendly. The food is good. It's s tad noisy so no romantic dinners here. All in all, a safe and healthy choice in the neighborhood.

A flying visit to NY meant eating times were a little off... after a late lunch eaten the Central Park we headed to Spring Natural Kitchen for dinner. Therefore not much of the menu was tried, but the experience was good enough to give 4/5 based just on 3 dishes. The black linguine seafood dish was fresh tasting and not too heavy, definitely a recommendation. The fish tacos had some kick, but should commended on the lack of any oily texture or taste.

Spring offers some good options. Definitely appreciate the eggs benedict varieties and the fresh fruit/veggie juices. However, some of the menu items are a little too healthy and some are on the blander side as a result.

Complete fraud of a business. The food does not match what is advertised and the service was comically terrible. It was probably the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant.

5 of us wanted a casual, healthy dinner. We picked the right place!! It was early and we were seated right a way, service was attentive and the food exceptional. I had the quinoa lentil cakes, my husband the Mexican salad with chicken (lots of chicken!), and our friends also all had salads they loved! WOW, not often everyone is delighted with their meals, and good beer and dessert as well! would definitely recommend to anyone.

I'm a fan. The menu has a great variety of food for many tastes and dietary preferences. Love the veggie options.

Spring Natural is a terrific choice especially if you are straight off a transatlantic flight. The menu is extremely varied, all dishes prepared with good fresh ingredients and culinary flair. The staff are welcoming and friendly, attentive without being pushy. Even if you are dining alone as I was, the atmosphere is super relaxed so you really don't feel out of place. A good healthy option with understated charm.

Had a drop-in breakfast with my girlfriend, it was ok. Food was ok, service was ok, but the restaurant was a bit boring. Ordered a Bloody Mary and it was not the best that I have had.

We had a wonderful dinner starting with the guacamole and then for dinner the waitress recommended the spinach pappardelle and stir fr6 with chicken. I had the recommended black linguini with seafood which was outstanding. Our waitress was not very friendly to start but then once we asked for suggestions she became very helpful making excellent recommendations. Highly recommend!

Brunch cocktails! What a sensational idea - for weekends, without children, without pending marathons....but also a great food menu. The best sweet potato fries I have ever eaten, a hearty side for the veggie burger. Highly recommended for carb loading pre race!

Having one daughter who's a picky eater, one who's a vegan, a wife who limits her carbs and myself, an omnivore makes family dinners interesting. We were very pleased with the wide choices on the Spring Natural menu. A vegetable risotto dish, an interesting salad, trout and a blue cheese burger all showed up at our table and all were well prepared. Splitting a couple of desserts was a great way to end the meal and the molten lava cake and apple tart were both excellent. We also had a fresh squeezed OJ which was excellent and the house mint tea was very good. It's not the cheapest place around but by NYC standards very good food at reasonable prices. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Cool place, when you are in a mood to stay on your healthy diet and don't want to think of where to go. It's OK, not something to drop everything and go to, but if you don't know where to go, kind of good neighborhood place.

I guess you know you're in a good place in Manhattan when the dining room's so loud you can't hear your partner. SN 'is' a good place but we were very glad the early June weather cooperated so we could eat outside. I had a burger, very good and no need for a side, my wide had grilled veggies in a curry sauce with rice. She said that many places add additional spices and she enjoyed getting just the curry flavor she wanted. MANY vegan, vegetarian & Gluten-free options if that's an issue for you, Also, moderately priced, especially for NYC. A newer place with a future.

Spring is a pretty restaurant and has out door seating. i had the hamburger and my mate had the fish. everything was very good.

Our concierge recommended a walk up Columbus Avenue to find some restaurants and we were happy to find Spring. Among our group were vegetarians, pescatarians and gluten-free diners. This place has a wide variety--enough that you could come back several times and try different dishes. Prices were reasonable as well. I would have given this a "5" except there was a piece of plastic in our dessert--ick. We got another within a few minutes. Otherwise a wonderful experience and I would go back again.

Went here for lunch with our daughter and had a great meal. Started with the spring rolls, which were crisp and tasty. I had the special turkey wrap and both my wife and daughter had salads, which were large and tasty, with fresh salmon and chicken. Both my wife and I had cocktails which were creative and not overdone. Highly recommend you try this place!

We frequent this restaurant all the time even though the service has never been stellar. Tonight they turned us away because we just wanted to have coffee and dessert. There were not even others in line waiting for a table behind us. So much for loyalty.

The first time we ate here the food was excellent....black spaghetti with seafood and a stir fried vegetable dish with quinoa and a side of black beans. The second time was entirely average: a completely nondescript dinner salad, a tough Hangar steak dish and a very small, almost appetizer size of a fairly bland Turkish (?) stew. The upside down plum cake was dry and tasteless. Doubt we'll go back. Service is good if not always friendly. Host was great.

Plenty of Vegetarian options, interesting recipes, great service, child friendly, and nice atmosphere. Just a block away from Central Park, Hayden Planetarium, and American Museum of Natural History.

We are happy we stopped here for dinner after a full day at the Children's Museum of Manhattan. The waiter had crayons for our son, and the recommended black spaghetti and tuna were amazingly delicious. Great atmosphere, had a great NYC feeling there. Only reason why we don't give a 5 out of 5 was that the server cleared the table too fast: we wanted the dish for our son in a box, but only the big bowl. But the server took even the plate from the puzzled 2 yr old, who was not done :-//

Three of us ate here after seeing a movie at 84th and Broadway. It's a great location and the space is large with a down to earth feeling. The food is super fresh with a great variety of choices, both traditional and more creative dishes. We were very full and satisfied when we left. The service was also very good.

Delicious GF vegan food - having been vegetarian for most of my life and then finding that I had to be gluten-free, it’s been a decade of compromise and trickiness trying to travel and eat. I was in New York for three nights and the previous night’s restaurant the waiter didn’t really understand what gluten-free was! So I was delighted to find this restaurant. I ate early as I am solo travelling and wanted to be able to walk back to my hotel in the daylight. They had a table for me outside - the staff were really prompt and friendly. I ordered the Vietnamese spring rolls to start which were absolutely yummy, I really liked the dipping sauce. Then I ordered pasta, pesto and a side of zucchini with a really nice sauce as well. I have to say it was the most delicious zucchini I have ever had and I will be cooking it that way when I get home! Had a nice glass of wine. The only downside is that I couldn’t finish everything because there’s so much on a plate, but that’s okay. They did offer to box it up but I’m flying today so left it. Would thoroughly recommend.

This is a kosher restaurant. The menu is vegan, but some ingredients can be replaced by meat. The vegan "Impossible" burgers were very good, the vegan chicken sandwich less so, the spicy pasta good. Great cocktails.

Great neighborhood spot with a casual feel while still retaining a edgy, but not pretentious atmosphere. A menu that will more than answer food options for vegans, vegetarians, and the rest of us!

Spring offers a varied menu of items made from fresh, natural ingredients. They offer organic and gluten free items as well. I opted for the Fresh Black Linguini w/ Seafood which included lump crab, jumbo shrimp, clams, calamari, mussels, zucchini, and fresh tomatoes in a light crushed pepper-lemon-butter sauce. The menu consists of appetizers, salads, burger, and entress of meat, seafood, and pasta. It was well worth the trip and I will be a frequent diner.

Went here for dinner last night. We were here many months ago and had an excellent dinner. Not so this time. We ate outside as the weather was perfect. Chairs were very uncomfortable. Service was ok. First course was cassarecca which turned out to be soggy pasta with tasteless pesto and some veggies. Only redeeming feature was some bits of tasty oyster mushrooms. My husband's main was fresh black linguini with seafood. Very short on flavor. I had the seared Atlantic halibut. I ordered it in part because it included fiddlehead ferns. But there were no fiddlehead ferns. When I inquired, I was told that asparagus (?!?) had been substituted but they hadn't updated the menu. Really!!?? We were especially disappointed because we had had an excellent meal there many months ago. Bummer.

We often go to Spring for lunch when we visit NYC. It's relaxed, has an open, light feeling, and the food is consistently good. Our favorites are the ABLT and pulled pork sandwich (and the sweet potato fries are crispy and delicious).

We went to Spring Natural Kitchen because of the gluten free and vegan offerings. The menu choices are good and the food itself is very good. Good sized portions. The service was a little spotty. So I would give the food a 4 and the service a 3.

Great tasty and healthy food options. Service is good and atmosphere pleasent . We enjoyed and sure coming again

Seriously some of the worst food I have ever had at a restaurant. I am easy to please and generally not picky, but this food barely qualifies to be called food. The vegan chicken sandwich was actually a block of unflavored tofu in a bun. The onion rings did not have any onion taste, the fries were tasteless and dripping in grease. I will not be going back.

There were some decent tables empty, we did not have a reservation and we requested to sit in one of them and the lady in the entrance said they were reserved. The whole time we were there no one seated there, another couple arrived and they were also seated in the not so comfortable pink tables. The “good” tables were never used… from three available when I arrived there were 6 available when I left. The lady was not very nice denying something that clearly was not reserved. Food is ok but not as good as many other places, the only good thing is that everything is gluten free.

Met some friends from the UK here for lunch. At first was not thrilled about their choice, but I was totally mistaken. Lovely lunch, with generous portions, nice open atmosphere, excellent service, and good food. Prices could be slightly tamer, but certainly not overpriced considering the location on the UWS on Columbus Ave. Also great people watching area. Highly recommended.

In one word - YUM! Food was excellent, good service. Went for Sunday brunch and arrived just ahead of the crowd. My daughter and I are both gluten-free; she is also dairy free. Menu clearly noted the GF options, and kitchen readily accommodated dairy free daughter by not putting cheese in her omelet. I had, and highly recommend, the dark chocolate buckwheat pancakes. I also had chicken apple sausage and scrambled eggs (organic); all tasted nice and fresh. They had both breakfast & lunch items on the brunch menu - will definitely return to try more!!

Delicious food that also happens to be Kosher and Gluten Free. I had the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich, which was perfectly fried and served on perhaps the best gluten-free bun I’ve ever had. I also had the vinegar onion rings. I was skeptical at first because I was worried about the vinegar would be overwhelming. I was very pleasantly surprised. The vinegar was the perfect note, adding just a bit of bite. And the breading on the onion rings was incredibly light and airy. They were some of the best onion rings I’ve ever had and they were gluten free.

My husband and I had a lovely lunch in this restaurant. We liked the downtown feel of the place with the brick walls and high ceilings. Lovely choice of dishes, too, and attentive service. The special fish wrap of the day and the chicken sandwich were delicious. We will go back!

We wanted to find a nice brunch, not too expensive and somewhere we could sit and relax for an hour or two. We found this place very comfortable. I had the French Toast with fresh berries (very good but slightly on the too-sweet side) while my husband had eggs and sausages - and loved it. We did have to wait for about 10 minutes to get a seat - and thankfully got one in the sun - so perhaps booking in advance is advised!

A group of us met for food and talk; one was vegetarian, and the rest of us love good vegetarian food being in the mix of choices. We shared a starter of hummus and tomatoes, then moved on to main dishes. Seared Mahi Mahi for me, complemented by avocado-tomato salad, plantains, and red-pepper mashed potatoes. Topped off with a mixed-berry+pineapple cobbler. Two people got the Korean Hanger Steak and were especially complimentary. Notable: Service was effective and discreet and patient. Thanks for a relaxed, very pleasant evening.

I go to Spring off and on as I do like the food there but the service is so spotty that it keeps putting me off. They have a very healthy menu and that is not always easy to find these days so I like to support that. I really like their chopped salad with grilled chicken. It is a huge portion and always super fresh and they always have interesting healthy soups as well. It is just that it is sometimes a server will totally forget my drink order or that I have asked for soup as well. Just seems a bit lax in that department.

Met some friends out for dinner on Friday night. Couple of us go there about an hour early and hung out at the bar. Bartender was super nice and super friendly. Sat at dinner table at 7pm with the rest of our friends, the place got very loud and very busy. Food was above average and reasonably priced. Waitress was friendly, but slow. Would consider going back.

It’s a clean open space. Friendly attentive service. Excellent guacamole. Vegan friendly, but good burgers too. Recommended for good casual meals.

Found this place before going to natural history museum and just spur of the moment decided to go in, very nice decor looks fresh and smart. The food is EXCELLENT! Service was good, if anything it was a bit too fussy they started moving tables and cutlery around quite frantically to seat 4 of us and at times it almost felt like we were being stood over by the waiter, it was as if he was waiting for approval, I caught him staring over from a couple of meters away a few times which was kind of awkward. Would return as the food was outstanding.

We visited here as we stayed on 77th west and fancied a bite to eat. We went in and ordered a vodka and coke and a gin and tonic. This came to just under $30! Ridiculous prices. Despite this, the food was reasonably priced so we order. As a vegetarian, they really cater for this. I order was vege burger with sweet potato fries. Very tasty. Good meal and huge! The roll was homemade and was simply delicious.

Visited after the Macy's parade with a party of 8. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. Service was poor. Even though the restaurant was not full we were rushed by a waiter who kept clearing plates while many were still eating. we asked several times to let all finish before clearing. Many menu items were not available

I've been here a couple of times for breakfast/brunch and the food is pretty tasty but the service isn't always super attentive and I think it's a bit overpriced. Once it took me 15 minutes to get a cup of coffee. Otherwise, I would recommend this place.

Great experience... Delicious cocktails to start... Absolutely delicious, creative food... Friendly and professional staff... All in airy comfortable atmosphere... Nothing else needs to be said... Definitely worth a try.

Went for lunch and had the curried chickpea fava bean fritters which are yummy but, you know, fried. And the burgers looked pretty darn good too. Husband had an omelette that he liked a lot. And the bread and olive oil they bring before the meal is delish. But not "healthy" per se. Fun to watch young hipster families from the UWS.

Went for lunch on Sunday prior to a show. Needed a completely gluten free kitchen. Amazing food! Smallish menu during the weekend brunch but we all loved it. Roasted veggie bowl! Coconut pancakes! Chopped salad! The Cabernet was great too! Suggest a reservation!

If you look for a nice lunch try Spring Natural, basic natural food. They have a large choice of vegan food, nice home made lemonade and a special but fantastic croc Monsieur

Chose this restaurant because my friend is allergic to gluten. Very nice decorations. The buckwheat pancakes were delicious. The breakfast burrito is huge! Service was good, but they pushed us to get appetizers.

my husband and I had a late lunch there: he ordered grilled chicken sandwich with fries and I had a salad with salmon. the food was not fresh, the chicken un-chew-able, fries cold. but most importantly, we were both very sick after this lunch. We couldn't eat anything until the next morning, both felt nauseous and heavy. just the worst possible experience when you are on vacation for just 2 days, both of which you feel like throwing up instead of enjoying the beauty of the place....

A friend and I wanted a light dinner on the UWS and we both enjoyed it here. I had the Quinoa salad had a great mix of vegetable tastes and textures. She had the mixed salad with (very tasty) tofu on top.

Nice place in a fun neighborhood. Food generally good; excellent for vegetarian/ vegan options. Ambiance is great - fun and interesting. Service pretty good though not very attentive.

We enjoyed this restaurant! The fact that they offer veggie, vegan, gluten-free and organic food really attracted me, in contrast to all that junk food you find all over New York! My mother took the Salmon Avocado Bowl and says it was delicious, full of flavors and that you could truly feel the good quality of ingredients. On my part, I had the Home Made veggie burger and was quite disappointed. It was tasteless and quite dry, a dish that I would not recommend, but there are plenty of other dishes that look super good! I also took a side of Truffle-Parmesan French Fries and there were AMAZING! wow so delicious! Even though I did not enjoy my veggie burger, I would definitely come back to try some other dishes!

Sadly, being "green" and "natural" is sometimes just an empty claim. This was inspected by the NYC Dept and they found "evidence of rats or live rats present" in food and non-food areas and "food contact surface not properly washed and sanitized after each use...contamination may have occurred." Ha! They claim to offer "Health-minded meals featuring veggies, fish & fowl to suit everyone from vegans to carnivores." With documented evidence of rats and contamination, count me out!!

A large, pretty neighborhood joint. It's mostly vegan and vegetable, but you can get a juicy hamburger or some chicken too. The food is quite good.

Hiking through Central Park, and trying to find a place for brunch brought us to Spring Natural Kitchen. Tucked in between 82nd and 83rd on Columbus Ave., this treasure is one we will definitely be back to. Options include organic, vegan and GF. Lunchtime pricing is in the $12-15 range and dinner is $18-30. There are far more than the normal salad options, and the sandwiches are large and filling. The atmosphere is cozy and open, while the service is highly attentive and friendly. A must for travelers who would like to relax and enjoy a great meal in a quiet setting overlooking the streets of NY.

On our recent visit to NYC, we were strolling down Columbus Ave. looking for a lunch place. Loved this little place. Great service, delicious food (I had taco salad and it was very good), and the bread is warm and fresh! Highly recommend.

We had just visited the Museum of Natural History and were looking for a quick bite, and luckily found this little gem. Friendly, quick service and an appetizing menu. We had a crispy chicken sandwich and a couple of salads and were pleased with the meal.

Have been there three times, the latest today. Sometimes the food works, sometimes less so. The only consistency is in the service, which weighs in as bored.

If Whole Foods sent their people to Cordon Bleu, this would be the result. A great selection of fresh whole foods, elegantly cooked. We had the Asian salad (which needed a bit of acid- nothing a side of balsamic couldn't fix) and a mixed vegetable and rice dish that was balanced and yummy. Our neighbors were enjoying grilled salmon sandwiches and simply raving. Don't miss this place.

We had a family celebration lunch here after graduation. Nicely build antipasti plate and a variety of entrees for both vegetarian/vegan and non-vegetarian alike. Food is richly seasoned and colorful on the plate with healthy options. We actually ate at the downtown location (Kenmare Street).

We had a lovely dinner here - great choices for both meat eaters as well as vegetarians. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Just the thing you need after a busy day in New York.

A light and airy cafe convenient for the museums on the Upper West Side. A great range of vegetarian and vegan options, as well as some healthy-sounding meat dishes. I had the Seared Aubergines with Fiery Quinoa Salad, which was great.

Brought here by a friend who lives in upper Harlem. I strongly recommend the roasted crispy skin half chicken -- well cooked and the sauce and veggies are incredible. A nice spice that builds throughout the meal -- almost to the point of clearing your sinuses. My wife had the fish special, which she enjoyed immensely. Our friend ordered the blue-cheese bacon burger -- without spinach on a gluten free bun and several other customizations. It was brought on the regular sesame bun (which has to be a huge improvement over the gluten-free) and included spinach but not bacon. Not sure if our waiter -- who was very pleasant and attentive -- couldn't hear, or if the order just didn't get communicated to the kitchen. When informed of the mix up, our waiter responded promptly and professionally and got the bun changed out right away. Other than the messed-up burger, the service was great, all of the food was very good, the noise level was not objectionable, and the prices were eminently reasonable. (Not just for the upper west side, but for pretty much every city I've eaten in over the last year -- including Wichita, Portland, Albuquerque, LA, Oakland, San Francisco and San Diego.) Shared a nice bottle of reasonably-priced Prosecco that was properly chilled and presented, and the selection of gelato and sorbets we had for dessert were all very good. They even produced an afoot (off-menu).I'd be happy to return.

This unassuming upper West Sider specializes in healthier options. Lots of salads, grilled meats and fish, and veggies. Food is good if not exceptional. Service was good too. Lots of families were here, probably because of the prices. My salmon salad was large and tasty.

We met another couple here for Sunday brunch. We hadn't seen each other for some time and had a lot of catching up to do, but the wait staff was very patient and did not rush us. We arrived at 11 a.m. and did not have to wait for a table, but the place filled up shortly after that. The atmosphere is pleasant and energetic. Two of us had eggs shakshuka which was tasty and satisfying. The others had buttermilk pancakes and grilled chicken salad. The food was fine, nothing amazing. Overall, this is a friendly, reliable local eatery and we will be happy to return.

Feels like Soho on the Upper West Side. Attentive service, but slow kitchen. Average food in a laid back atmosphere.

Recently, I've found myself in the location of Spring Natural Kitchen several times and have arranged to meet friends there for lunch. Since I've been eating mostly vegan with an occasional bit of fish, Spring suits me well but it's also good for friends who prefer more carnivorous fare. The space is large and high-ceilinged, and feels more like a SoHo restaurant than some of the more close-quartered places on the UWS. The service is friendly and mostly efficient, and the menu is solid. I've enjoyed the vegan vegetable curry and the Moroccan vegetable tagine (a fall special), and when I branched out recently and had the stir-fried vegetables with seafood, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of the seafood, and also that the calamari, which I often don't enjoy, was cooked to tender perfection. Admittedly, the tagine portion was a little small for the price and I did have to send it back to be reheated when it came out lukewarm, but that's the only issue I've had. Otherwise I've been very happy with my three recent experiences at Spring.

I really love this little gem of a restaurant. Or, it's not SO little.. But the dining room is nice with a very peaceful vibe about it and dimmed lights. The menu is great for mixed parties.. All organic and caters to everyone - no matter the diet. I'm vegan and had a superb bowl filled with goodies. Arugula topped with cauliflower, black beans, quinoa, avocado, chickpeas and more.. I also opted for the Chickpea fries and boy was I happy I got them! Sooo tasty! I'd recommend Spring to anyone who's into healthy eating but still wants to find a nice restaurant - not a salad bar or Raw food place.

I spent the morning at the Museum of Natural History and was excited to find a nearby restaurant that served vegan food. When I walked in no one acknowledged me. I finally asked a waiter walking pass if we should just seat ourselves. He said yeah. So I sat at a booth that had 6 settings as I didn't see any two setting tables. Oh, I also had to grab my own menu. Waiters walked past me with no acknowledgement. Finally a waiter asked if someone was joining me. No, he then split another table of six so I could have a table of two. I asked him what drinks they had, He had to go back and get me a drink menu since I had to fetch my own lunch menu. He was very friendly and helpful. There were a few vegan choices and the food was excellent. When I went to get up, I noticed my coat had been on the floor the entire time and no one was kind enough to pick it up. I was going to complain to management that it was one of my worse experiences in service, but I was already upset and just wanted to leave without ruining my day any further. There was just a sense of not caring. If not for the bad service by others (not my waiter), this place would be an excellent brunch restaurant. Very serene and relaxing.

Stopped in for lunch after spending the morning at the museum (five stars!) with my daughter. We had a very simple order, which the server did not write down. He came back twice to ask what we had ordered, and then proceeded to get every. single. item. wrong. I swear, this is going to turn me into a curmudgeon who demands the waiter write things down. The salad with shrimp was minty, the veggie burger tasted underdone and was lukewarm. And for this we paid $60. There are many other restaurants in the vicinity - try one of them.

Made a reservation for 1:30 pm. Showed up at 1:34 and was advised kitchen closed early today. They informed us since we didn’t get there early and order by 1:30, the kitchen closed and we were out of luck. How can you possibly order by 1:30 if your reservation is literally at 1:30?! They responded with “well if you got here at 1:30, we would give you 3 minutes to order”. Again, how is that possible?? Do not waste your time at this restaurant. Staff did not care at all. After reading reviews, apparently we are not the first being treated badly.

Great ambiance. Great summer menu. Excellent salads. Somewhat overpriced. Hard to find anything bad on the menu.

I have been to this restaurant numerous times and each time I like it more and more and each time I order something different. It's a great restaurant to go to with your vegan (my parents), vegetarian (me) and fish & chicken eaters (my friends) b/c there is something for everyone on the menu.. and not just a 1 option place either. My friends LOVED the restaurant when I brought them there (they had the mahi mahi) and couldn't stop raving (it scared me). My nephew from Long Island wanted to have his family birthday dinner at the restaurant too. It satisfies everyone. Service was fine. Prices are fine. Décor is simple and that's fine. A tad loud but not overly annoying. Highly recommend

A simple menu, lovely outdoor seating. It was a warm spring evening and we enjoyed Sangria with our light dinner. I had a yummy grilled chicken burger and my daughter had most delicious chicken soup with orzo and a superb chopped salad.

Took my family here for lunch. We had Amelia as our waitress. She was great. The kids meals were fine and fairly priced. I had the burger at $15 and was quite delicious. Needed to use a fork and knife because it was so big. Skipped the fries and substituted fruit. Others had the BLT, Mediterranean salad, and fajita salad with chicken. Big portions and really tasty. Only negative is that I ordered a. Diet coke and it was all ice. Had to pay for refill for a refill. Skip the soda and enjoy NYC water instead. Save 2.50 for another day. Slipped dessert because of this policy of no refills on soda which cost the rest about 10 cents to serve. Would I returns? Yes, but not order soda.

I had a Thai falafel salad and the other members of my party had the vegan burrito breakfast and the spring omelet. All were delicious.

Food and service are ok. It's a family friendly place, but wouldn't recommend it for couples. Lunch menu is a bit lame. The salad with tempe appeared to be plain tofu, not what I was hoping for.

We were 15 people and we were extremely pleased with the food and service at our family birthday party. Manager Eduardo and server Rosemary were attentive and responsive even though it was a busy Saturday night. ALL of the food was excellent. The wide range of vegetarian/vegan/fish/meat choices suited our needs perfectly. We especially liked the tiramisu birthday cake. We couldn't have been happier and look forward to visiting again soon.

Visited Spring for the first time today just before walking across Central Park to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It's a block from the subway stop so really convenient. Menu is full of both vegetarian / vegan choices and meat, chicken, and fish, so there is something for everyone. My cousin ordered a veggie burger on whole wheat roll with sweet potato fries. It was very tasty, not at all an imitation hamburger, but Spring's own creation with a sweet, veggie flavor, soft interior consistency, and a firm exterior. I had vegetables with beans, brown rice, and tofu, and a tahini sauce. The veggies (mainly broccoli and cauliflower) were steamed exactly to the right level and very fresh. I would have liked the option to make them spicier, but I didn't ask. They probably would have provided a zingier sauce. The black beans were delicious. They also brought me a few slices of home-baked bread. Also very tasty, but it was served very cold, as if just pulled from the fridge. Not sure what they were thinking. Service was accurate and efficient, but without real connection to the guests. The portions were generous, the environment very pleasant and clean. I plan to return next time I am in the neighborhood.

I have a gluten and dairy allergy so coming here for the first time was pretty incredible. Very liberating to be able to eat everything on the menu. I’ve been twice and I’ve found the food to be very very good and I will be returning every time I’m in the city.

Filling gluten free food, with knowledgeable staff, but quite expensive. GF options need to be more clearly marked on the menu. Ambience lovely and peaceful. Charger ports would be helpful, as would wifi. Burger and fries were delicious but my burger bun fell apart which was a shame. Would like to try more on their menu.

Went for Sunday brunch after a morning visit to the Museum of Natural History since it was only a few blocks away. Heard a lot about it from friends and it did not disappoint. The brunch menu has a nice selection of eggs, pancakes, salads, rice bowls, vegetarian, etc. I ordered the mixed salad with chicken and both my daughters ordered the burgers. My salad was very fresh with an over-abundance of grilled chicken. The honey mustard dressing was the perfect accompaniment and it totally satisfied me (I was only able to eat 1/2 the salad since it was a generous portion). There were no complaints of my kids' burgers which was juicy and cooked perfectly (according to them). Only complaint is that is gets so busy that sometimes the wait staff forgets about you but that wouldn't deter me from visiting again. Looking forward to going for dinner next time with my husband.

Had brunch with family - the food was scrumptious! Our gluten free folks LOVED the dark chocolate chip GF pancakes. Nice service and comfortable seating.

I can't say I'm a huge fan of this place, but once in a while I like to visit. The food is pretty good (all natural and healthy) defiantly take the bread that they serve( very good!). Like the drinks and red sangria. To be honest hate the set up a little bit, and the steps right after the front door are pretty dangerous. But overall nice place and great service

My sister and I had dinner here on a Saturday night at 8:30. No reservation, no problem! Service was excellent. We didn't feel rushed. Good selection of wine. We had the Mahi Mahi and Salmon. Both dishes were delicious. Cooked to perfection, not overdone. Yummy! Would definitely return!

Had a fabulous burger cooked and stacked perfectly. Had some nice wine, friendly service, good spot for lunch for sure, no reservation required mid week. Highly recommend! Good value considering NYC

I eat a late dinner with friends at this resturant, and i really loved it. A wide selection of good food, cozy interior and good service. A nice place to have a good time and eat tasty food with friends and family.

A lovely, healthy option in NYC... for when you're sick of the 99c pizzas and greasy street food. I had the taco salad with chicken & it was delightful. But the best part was, oddly, something we ordered at a whim off of the brunch menu, a yogurt topped with fresh berries. I think it was some kind of greek yogurt whipped with heavy cream to make this delicious, airy thing that tasted like ice cream, with some unique granola hidden underneath (I detected pumpkin seeds and cashews). Really awesome meal. Light and guilt-free. Very friendly & professional service.

Spring is a nice comfy to go Spot. 1st time here and must say the menu is well thought out and the beverage selection is perfect. If you are looking to enjoy thirst to belly without compromising bank and food quality this is the place. So why a 3 rating? One thing brought it down for me, we got burgers the Angus and Chicken respectively and while the presentation and everything was marvelous the bun just fell apart but everything else cooked to perfection seasoned well just that bun.. Will definitely recommend this place and be back. #keepup the #goodwork Cheers

We were pleasantly surprised to find this little restaurant close to the museum. I very much enjoyed their grass-fed burger, it was very juicy, just the right size and satisfying. My husband loved vegetarian stir-fry, so much flavor! My son was raving about chicken tenders. Overall, we enjoyed it very much and will highly recommend it.

The food itself deserves an "excellent" rating, but it took way too long from we ordered until the meal was ready. Maybe Friday night is not the best night for fast service, but still. This restaurant caters for those that want real and honest food and they are aware of food allergies. The place itself is quite noisy (probably above the healthy limit for long term exposure) and as far as I can see the metal ceiling, ceramic tiles on the walls and a glass wall may contribute to the really bad acoustical properties in this place. This in turn make the guests talk louder to be heard across the table and in the end everyone is close to shouting. I would recommend replacing the ceiling and glass wall and otherwise acoustically soften the place (e.g. cover the ceramic, shiny tiles with fabric).

Really had hoped to give Spring a very good, but the duck breast was really boring. Organic is often poorly correlated with flavor. My dining companions really liked the stuffed acorn squash. Service was very responsive, table spacing good. Acoustics are borderline harsh -- when restaurants decorate, why aren't acoustic panels mandatory on one surface?

My daughter was getting married in NYC and wanted a place the night before the wedding where all the attendees could gather since many were traveling in that day. This place was great. We had heavy Hors d'Oeuvres and drinks for about 35 people over a two hour period. The servers made sure everyone had an opportunity to try several different foods that were pre-selected. The price for a wonderful evening was reasonable. The host reached out to both fathers to make sure everything was what we expected. There was plenty of room to sit down and talk. You do have to go down stairs. I highly recommend this establishment.

I walked in around 1:30 pm on a regular Thursday afternoon. It was pretty empty, only one other table had a customer. The service was good, friendly but not annoying. I tried Baja salad, and it was OK but nothing special. The avocado toast was good and came with a much better salad. Sadly, they did not have pretzels and they no longer serve chili dogs. Wild Mushroom Hash was very good and had a great balance of mushrooms and eggplant. I got a Paloma and it was excellent. I also got gluten free churros with chocolate sauce for dessert, and they were very good. Would return for the churros. :)

Without waiting on the line, we setdown right away. Very friendly Colombian native waitress attend to us. I got egg benedict and waffle. I should say that egg benedict need little bit more hollandace sauce but overall taste was good. Waffle came with a lots of fruit which I really like it. However their basket of bread is not too good plus comes only with butter no jam! Good place for breakfast.

The service was great, as well as the food, fresh Juice, a good health salad and coffee, the rest of the family enjoyed their food too. Children friendly as well as for Veggies

Nothing to say against the kitchen, because our actual meal was lovely, but our server managed to ruin the experience. Our party of four were there for brunch, two of us from overseas so still unfamiliar with tipping etiquette. We added gratuity onto our portion of the bill ahead of time so marked 'no tip' on the check (and our American dining companions helpfully evened things out by including extra for the tip amount on theirs). No dramas, right? Our server CHASED AFTER US out of the restaurant and demanded to know if we were unhappy with the service, making a total scene on the sidewalk. WHO DOES THAT? We were bewildered into giving him an extra $10 cash tip RIGHT THERE OUTSIDE THE RESTAURANT. It was embarrassing - mostly for him, not us. Our friend were intrigued by other items on the menu, but after this I doubt they'd be back. Nice going, server guy, you weren't even that good at your job.

Visited it with my daughter/family who lives in NYC. The food was delicious and it has a menu for all palates. The service was very good. I left a pair of reading glasses and I called to see if they have found it. They told me "no" but to try again in a couple of days and I did and they had it.

We had a lovely lunch at Spring on a very hot Saturday! Our salads were delicious; I had the tuna nicoise and it was tasty, healthy and fabulous. We shared a portion of french fries as a side: fries were delicious BUT a bit cold and I thought very expensive ($7 for a portion of potatoes?????). Service was friendly and attentive so I'd go again in a heart beat.

I was really excited to try this place. Coming from the West Coast I find it hit or miss on finding good gluten free dairy free dining options here. I have mixed feelings about this place. The onion rings were fantastic. I could have just eaten those. I'm not really a chicken and waffle person but I heard that's what they are known for here so I gave it a try and I was super disappointed. The waffle was soggy and the batter on the chicken was gross. Lots of pepper in it which didn't settle well with a waffle and maple syrup. I got a chopped salad and it was okay nothing special. On the way out we got a pretzel to go because I haven't had one since being gluten free and it was perfect. Seems like they do a few things really well but others were sub par. I would go back for the items I did like but overall I wasn't too impressed.

Be prepared for Crab cakes the size of quarters. Waiters stare at you as if you will run out without paying. Overall...not a great experience!

Spring Natural Kitchen seemed like a natural choice for us. It was a convenient two blocks from the American Museum of Natural History where we had just spent several hours with the kids and it had gluten-free options for my wife. Gluten-free, in this case, ended up being stale three-color tortilla chips at the bottom of my wife's taco salad. It was all just kind of "meh". Average service. Average pricing. Average tasting. I'm sure it was better than whatever we would have gotten in the museum cafes, but I'm also sure I have no strong inclination to return.

The service was excellent. The atmosphere is very attractive for lunch/brunch and dinner. This spot is dairy free (they do offer fresh egg options) and kosher. So they have many contemporary vegetarian and fresh options. I had the wild mushroom hash, which was good with terrific ingredients (a bit under seasoned). Looking forward to returning to try the kosher fried chicken!

I am very picky with food, so we were quite happy to find this big restaurant, with lot of seats and patio. I had theirs soup of the day, which by the way tasted great! My boyfriend ordered vegetable wok, and wasn't disappointed. Server was very polite and on point! Food came out fast. Definitely recommend for couple, solo travel and for big parties!

We went when it was vegan and was reasonably priced and the food was good and the restaurant was busy . When we went back they had raised their prices to the extreme and greatly reduced both vegan and other options on their menu. For example the vegan chickn sandwich is now 38 dollars and they don't even provide fries with it.! The person who greeted ius was not very friendly either. That might explain why the formerly bustling restaurant had only one or two tables occupied when we visited this time. . We actually decided to leave and found a similar dish with fries for half the price at a nearby restaurant. Would not recommend this restaurant.

My daughter had the veggie burger which cam with sweet potato fries and I had the tofu scramble on a roll. Her veggie burger was good. My tofu scramble was okay. Nice place.

Gluten free restaurant was the appeal. Food was ok. They were out of a lot of things. The potato pancakes were excellent. Would go back just for those.

Everything was pretty good except for the Guacamole. Tiny portion for $13 definitely not worth it. Also, some of the quac is under the half avocado. The sticker is still on the the bottom of the avocado. Not appealing.

I enjoyed dinner recently with five friends with a myriad culinary restrictions: kosher, vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free. We were all able to order from the menu and the results were tasty--- fresh and flavorful and with a huge variety of veggies. The only distasteful (pun intended) moment was when I sampled the gluten free bread that was provided for my gluten free friend-- it was dry and had a texture and flavor resembling potting soil. I would certainly return to this restaurant next time I'm in the city.

We were visiting the cycle rental store on the other side of the street when we noticed Spring Natural Kitchen and decided to give them a try prior to our cycle tour. We were not disappointed. As the weather was mild, we sat outside. The waiter was very attentive and happy to explain any aspects of the menu we were unsure about. The menu choices were varied, and the food was well presented. The meals were very good and we thought that the price was very reasonable by New York standards. It was also a pleasant surprise that we didn’t have the by now 18, 20 or even 22% service charge suggested. The service was left to our own discretion...something we English are more familiar with!

We have eaten here several times and always liked it a great deal. The menu has excellent vegetarian options, as well as a wide range of other dishes. The food is fresh and specials are offered in addition to the menu. The service is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is relaxed. If the restaurant is crowded it can get quite loud, depending on where you are sitting, so going on a less busy night, like a week night, can help avoid that problem.

Really good food. The beer list was short but all good. The salads were so interesting and good. The dinners were fresh and interesting! Will go back! The wait staff was perfect!

Pleasant atmosphere. Nice service. Food tasted like it came out of a frozen food packet. Even the rice wasn't tasty. I could have made a better meal in my own kitchen. Pricey.

Stopped in on a recent getaway to NYC. This was around the corner from our hotel. It was very busy but we got a table right away. This place has a nice vibe. The menu had a nice variety. They had a good beer selection. The waitstaff were very friendly and attentive. I would visit again.

We enjoyed dinner and lunch at Spring Kitchen. The lunch was very reasonable. Food was delicious and healthy. Service was friendly and prompt. We were not offered a children's menu for our 10 year old at dinner but it was given to us for lunch the next day. I guess we should have asked but they let us order the regular burger so it was more expensive and 1/2 was not eaten.

A complete gluten free menu with really delicious food. Three of us all ordered different dishes and they were all gorgeous. Friendly staff and a very pleasant atmosphere.

The idea here is to serve natural products, whether grassfed beef or organic greens. One of the party had a burger that was as thick as any you have ever seen and two of us had vegan salads. They tag the menu for vegan, gmo, and gluten free as well as other things. The meals were reasonable and well presented. Food gets 4 out of 5 ranking. But Overall 3 out of 5. We noticed that the restaurant was pretty empty at 8:00, but picked up as we were leaving. The main complaints were that it was way too hot, the bathrooms are down a very long stairwell, past a kitchen area. (I watched as a lady was helped down by her son and 5 minutes later they were still working their way down when another of our group went). Not for handicapped. The bathrooms were small, dirty and very outdated. A nice restaurant should have better bathrooms.

Had a birthday dinner celebration, very fresh and healthy menu choices. Excellent for anyone with gluten allergies. Waitstaff was very attentive. Also reasonable prices. Good choice if you are on upper west side.

Sat outside with our dogs, which was great! Delicious, fresh food. Loved the salads. Very busy, so servers weren't quite as attentive. Took awhile to get drunk refills, but overall reasonably priced with something for everyone on the menu.

Stopped by on a rainy day for a late lunch. Lots of choices for vegetarians (even vegans) and meatier choices too. Had a soup, a vegan eggplant plate with peanut sauce, sweet potato fries, and a ablt sandwich. Salad with the ablt was a bit droopy, but everything else was very tasty. Cute cafe with good and friendly service.

They have a vegan menu and well as a regular one. We went late on a Saturday morning & had breakfast outside. They accidently served a breakfast burrito that was not vegan to one of our group. They immediately replaced it with apologies from the server & manager. The manager was outstanding & he even brought a water bowl for a small dog with us.

I am picky when it comes to brunch, but this place was a pleasant surprise. Freshly cooked, organic, tasty without being heavy. Fair prices. Highly recommended

Went for the 2nd time in 2 weeks for dinner. Actually had the same dish twice now - and it shifted and changed between the 2 weeks. Service is friendly but a little sloppy - one server on top of it and the next week the server chatting it up at the bar or in the back so we constantly had to call him over every time we needed anything ...he never really noticed otherwise. Had the organic veg with seafood. One week it was a great variation of vegetables with eggplant and lots of kale and cauliflower and mushrooms. The next week it was a tonnnnnnn of cauliflower and broccoli and carrots but little else. My friend said her burger was perfectly good and the fries that I snitched were yummy. The tables are really well-spaced and early evening it is calm and lovely. Ramped up a bit just as we were finished but there's room to spare in the dining rooms and it's a really nice environment. I think it's a solid choice for a good dinner.

We came here on a Saturday early afternoon for a late lunch. Good thing we had reservations as there was a long wait for tables. Doesn't get a fifth star because our server never checked back with us after taking our orders until the end of the meal. After spending the morning at the Met this was a nice change of pace. I recommend getting the pancakes! This restaurant is a short walk across the park from the museum. We chose to leave and take a break from the crowds for a few hours before returning to the museum for the rest of the day.

Well what can I say other than I had the best gluten free pancakes ever here!! Initial service was a little slow, host and bar maid did take a while to acknowledge us but it was all made up for once we were seated. Food came quickly and tasted amazing, can cater for coeliacs and vegan and vegetarian. Best place on the upper west for pancakes and a mimosa, a little pricey but when the quality is that good you can't argue too much!

This a great moderately-priced upscale diner on Columbus Ave on the Upper West Side. It has downtown true food roots, and delivers great honest well-prepared, perfectly proportioned dishes. It's family-friendly with a stellar kid's menu (we thought the kid's cheeseburger might have even been better than the adult cheeseburger, which was excellent). About a third of our large party were vegan or vegetarian and so the menu was pure delight for them (the menu very clearly indicates when a meal is vegan, gluten free, etc). But the menu is very carefully thought-through, with seafood, chicken and beef options for the carnivores among us. My grandfather had the inked linguine with a variety of seafood, all of which was very fresh and delicious (I stole a clam). I had a Chicken Taco Salad that is sort of the gourmand's answer to the Chipotle Burrito bowl. It could have used more salsa, and more heat, but I enjoyed the fresh flavors all the same. My son has the Thai chicken which was more of a Thai barbecued chicken, beautifully seasoned, spicy but not too spicy for our 11 year old (who ate most of it, though I ate the last few bites -- for reviewing reasons of course). The only low note was the house red (a Malbec) which I thought was almost undrinkable (and $8 a glass). This is really dumb because there are good $3 buck chuck's they could serve for bigger profit margins and happier customers. To balance this, however, they had a very decent bar, with some good beer on tap -- including the Stone IPA which I always love (at $9). All in all, everyone can eat for less than $30 per person including a beverage -- less if you go for tap water -- and you'll be stuffed, and happy with good honest food for vegans, vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. Enjoy!

I have been here before and had a positive experience. The menu changes - salads, entrees, pasta and sandwiches range from simple to very interesting and all very well prepared, well presented and served together even though prep times must vary. They have a very nice bar with reasonable priced wines and beers. I have not had spirits here. All in all, with all the choices, this is worth going back for more.

Brunch was hoping, service was friendly and attentive. patio nicely shaded. coffee good (get an espresso at Joe's up the block!) brought the dog, who they provided with cold water - unasked. ate organic fresh salmon and regular salads with yummy dressing. great portions. friendly other clientele who were up for a chit-chat. babies abounded. cute and clean bathrooms. Our friends, who live on the UWS, raved and were right! Just go.

We went on a Thursday night and the restaurant wasnt very busy so i am not sure why the service was so slow. We ordered frinks from the bar and had to wait until afyer oue entrees were delivered to have them brought to our table. We also ordered parmesan fries which they forgot to place the order for, the stir fry with chicken and brown rice was very bland and tasteless. Just a really disappointing experience.

To ensure an accurate review, I dinned at Thyme and Tonic a few times. Their best aspect is their drinks- creative, tasty and fun. Food is okay, nothing too special but it passes

We had a delicious brunch - I had a take on shakshouska that was spicy and lovely and my partner had a burger that was perfectly prepared. The atmosphere is beautiful and the service was good. The cappuccino I had was possibly a bit on the obscene side of large, but it was tasty. Our only complaint is that it was extremely loud, and the place was only 1/4 full. The restaurant has two halves and we sat in the half with the bar. I think the brick walls and wood floors just bounced sound like crazy. It seemed much quieter in the other, smaller side of the restaurant. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to trying out lunch or dinner.

Service was prompt; outdoor-seating (Covid-related) was pleasant enough. We went with another couple....had the double cheese/impossible meat burgers. Just average (at best). Fries were better. Too many other better places around to bother returning.

Saturday night and we hadn't booked, but we were able to eat at the bar which was fine. Lots of salad choices and veggie food on the menu, as well as a few meat options. Good fun, noisy, and good friendly service.

Visited Spring twice during our last stay. The food was good and the wait staff was hit-or-miss (depending upon which server you had) Some were excellent, while others could care less. I suppose that could be the case anywhere, so I won't dock them for that guy's horrible attitude. Spring serves locally farmed, fresh and hand-made foods that are truly delicious. Tried the pulled pork and the burger - both were delicious. The burger was grass-fed, juicy and delicious. Definitely will be back.

Food was excellent, though many items couldn't be customized. Very family friendly. No reservations for less than 6 people. Convenient to the theatre in the park.

Went here for Sunday brunch as it’s both kosher AND gluten free. Food was great, Although the vegan cheez on the burger wasn’t great. The chicken and waffles were a firm favourite.
Great, fresh, natural food
Saturday night and no wait. Crispy half chicken, quinoa salad, vegetable stir fry. All good, all fresh Fresh bread was super. Fresh pressed juice was great. Sorbets were a nice end to the evening. Service was very attentive. The crowd is trendy and the place neighborly. Plus, just a short 15-minute walk from the MMofA.
