Great Food, Vibrant Atmosphere

By Zanderzaidan |

Time Out Market is buzzing with energy, and the rooftop views are incredible. We tried the Italian stand — generous portions, delicious, and the perfect end to a Brooklyn wander. Tables can be tricky at busy times, but the experience is still very enjoyable.

Pricey and small portions

By Nj guy |

Very pricey and small portions....went with family....i ordered a cocktail for 17$ and the quantity was probably like 2 shot glasses....rip off

Very good

By giu1982 |

Beautiful atmosphere. Very clean room. Many varieties (from hamburgers, pasta, sushi, etc.). Very good food

Pricey and not tasty

By mapad |

We came here to take a dessert and a coffee. The chocolate muffin only has the color but does not taste like chocolate, why a strawberry needs to be sliced in a fruit salad ? Tiramisu does not taste anything as well, normally it should be made with coffee right ? Pricey, not good, nice place though.

A very original and surprising market-shopping center

By Jose Carlos G |

We visited this place around 2-3 pm. After Civitatis and Real's Tours NYC left us stranded in the morning, as they did not come to pick us up, the truth is that, as the saying goes, "there is no evil that does not come for good." Because the best thing about New York is walking around it, without rushing, without traffic jams. So we visited the Financial District from south to north, walked across the Brooklyn Bridge to Dumbo, took the corresponding photo of the Manhattan Bridge from Washington St. and Water St., and then entered this surprising and very original center commercial. There was an exhibition of interesting contemporary art paintings, we had a very good lunch (there was a lot to choose from!) and we drank beer. Well priced, in short, average for New York. We were looked after wonderfully and there were plenty of places to sit after picking up our drinks and food (you can decide where you want to sit). A very pleasant atmosphere, with lighting that I loved, neither too strident nor too garish. It was quite a surprise. In addition, the place where it is located is very picturesque.

A cool but expensive market at Dumbo

By Jack F |

The Market itself is cool and there's plenty of choice. However, most of the servers seem like they don't wanna be there and the prices are extortionate. We spent $40 on 2 burgers which is daylight robbery. They aren't particularly big either. If you're at Dumbo taking pictures I would recommend going in but be prepared to spend a lot.

To discover to please

Very nice place, with various dishes, fine cuisine, not easy to have space and fiorino not great welcome, refilling of drinks is free but not cheap

Time Out in Brooklyn - Great NY Style Eats

By YayeMama |

Time Out NY is located in Brooklyn's DUMBO, near the famous Manhattan Bridge and is on 2 floors - 1st floor which has most of the kiosk eateries and tables and 5th floor (accessible only by elevator) which has fewer eateries and bars and an outdoor view lookout over the bridges and Manhattan skyline. All the foods NY is famous for are here - for tourists and non-tourists and the tastes are amazing. BBQ, Morimoto sushi, Chinese, Bagels, Pizza and other Italian delicacies, Smash Burgers, Mexican, Jacob's Pickles & More, Doughnuts.. and several bars. A real happening place in downtown Brooklyn, worth a visit.

Great place to go before walking the Brooklyn Bridge.

By DeanoW70 |

We had planned to walk the Brooklyn Bridge and decided to try and find somewhere to have a bite to eat and drink before we did it. I’d already researched the Market and thought it would tie in nicely. Anyone who has been to New York this week knows how hot it’s been so it was a lovely break to get into the air conditioning! The Market itself is great. There are so many eateries and there’s a really good feel about the place. I would have given it 5 stars but couldn’t as we encountered the rudest server we’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with. We went to the rooftop bar to grab a drink and take some photos of the bridge in the glorious weather. When I went to the bar and asked for a drink she slammed my pint down and pointed at the card machine without saying a word to me. I’d previously been served by some really friendly staff and was gobsmacked that this girl could be working in the service industry. I’d been tipping the other staff every time but on principle I made sure that I didn’t tip her. If the management ever read any reviews they should have a word with her about her interpersonal skills. As for the food vendors, we ate at the Rogue Panda and the Brussels sprouts in Kung Po sauce were amazing. This place is definitely worth a visit.

Bark Barbecue!

By Lizm95 |

Go to Fifth floor and visit Bark Barbecue! Saw this place on TikTok ages ago so thought we would go and try it. Food was really good! They sold the meat by 1/2lb so we got 1lb to share and some mac n cheese. We weren’t keen on the sauces but that’s just not to our taste. It was the most popular place upstairs and always a queue. The guys behind serving were brilliant and kept the queue down. Yes, it is quite expensive especially if you want to try a load of different meats and sides. For 1lb of brisket, medium size mac n cheese & 2x cokes it was $64 which was pretty much expected so we weren’t surprised. I’d definitely recommend this place to eat.. also has great views upstairs of Brooklyn bridge.

Sometimes the Tried and Trusted is the Best Decision

By Velox |

Having walked over Brooklyn Bridge we needed a snack and drink. Where better to go than the Time Out Market. In line with other TOM's, Brooklyn provides a wide range of options with quite a lot of places to sit and also enjoy your time there. It may have been a mix of the weather and time of day which we visited but the food hall was not busy.

Fun spot but very expensive with small portion .

By Gargantua |

Location location location … located in dumbo area between the manathan bridge and the Brooklyn bridge . Food court full on tourist . Good selection of different world food with very very small portion … good vibes . But there is so many great restaurants in NYC . I ll be back here just for a drink with the.view .

Positive

By Kicco66 |

Big market where you can find food for all tastes. Practically a large warm and welcoming lounge where there are luxury stalls with everything and more. We ate bigoli carbonara which, for New Yorkers, were also good. Then you have to make a stop upstairs where there is a panoramic terrace overlooking the beautiful Manhattan skyline with the two imposing famous bridges....Brooklyn bridge and Manhattan bridge. High prices but in NY it is so!

Place to discover!

By Kévin Crss |

Excellent discovery of this place overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan. We stopped there to eat a bit by chance.. the place was beautiful, the choice of dishes very interesting. We feasted in a nice and pretty setting. I recommend.

BARK BARBECUE TOTAL MISS! Looks are deceiving.

By AnnoyinglySatisfy227 |

It's unfortunate that I'm reviewing this under this name. (That's what shows on your credit card statement) However, this 2 star rating is for BARK BARBECUE. Customer service, gets a star Presentation, gets a start The FOOD was overrated! GREASY, SALTY, not a good flavor and WAY expensive. I pay for good quality food and THIS was not it. I did the little of everything for around $90 and was very excited to try this place. First one's in at 11 a.m. I believe, waited as they were not quit ready to be DISAPPOINTED! The man cutting the meats did come over and speak to me to only pacifi the situation with a $15 credit. WTH is that when everything was horrible. Not exaggerating. Mac and Cheese had no cheesy goodness tasted like roux (flour), coleslaw was weird, no sugar to balance the salty meats, even the cornbread was blah. Tasted like cold honey and batter. I was really excited to go there. We traveled all the way from Florida. The BBQ sauces was terrible. If it was good, I would say. Sooooo DISAPPOINTED. My video proved my excitement. My payment proves I didn't come to complain. Coming back to Brooklyn with a group and this was on the list. Not returning!

So many food places!

By NLK |

A great place to visit if you’re unsure on what food you fancy, there are plenty of choices! Unfortunately, not many places were open when we visited, but we still had a great time visiting.

Fantastic choice and ambience

By Mama_Five1 |

Enjoyed a fantastic BLT bagel. Delicious lunch in a vibrant and fun place. So much choice, something for everyone. We would definitely go back and glad to have found somewhere for a light lunch that didn’t break the bank.

A good selection of foods to try!

By Cruiser66392464550 |

Atmosphere great, some interesting & delicious foods! Disappointed I couldn’t find pizza it may have been closed that day.

By Beveraldo |

Crazy expensive and so busy here on a weekend. Not sure it was worth it, but the views of the bridges from outside are stunning.

What a find!

By Kami |

We travel for nice food so took the ferry to Dumbo and spent whole day there. Food choices were delicious and fabulous views.from the roof top bar. Loved the pancakes at Clinton Bakery and tacos and the ramen. Make you sure you visit if you are in New York.

Great place in Dumbo

By Claudio85 |

I had a really pleasant day. There are several dining options, and I personally chose the excellent Clinton Bakery. The rooftop is wonderful and relaxing. Highly recommended stop!

I recommend BARK BARBECUE

By HugoQuinteroM |

I recommend BARK BARBECUE’s chicharrón, it’s great. The views towards the Brooklyn Bridge on the terrace are spectacular

Very worth the visit!

By Camila M |

We visited Time Out after crossing the Brooklyn Bridge and it gave us the most beautiful photos of the trip. We tried several foods but the ice cream was what stood out to us the most...it was sooo good!!! On the rooftop there is a super lively open bar with an incredible view of Manhattan. Very worth the visit!!

Ideal for eating on your visit to Dumbo

By laura w |

We ate at Bark Barbecue an exquisite smoked meat, super tender and tasty. It can be ordered in sandwich or dish by weight, to accompany there are colslaw, fries, mac and cheese and other Caribbean dishes. Good prices. The market in general is very cute, there are many dining options, and from the terrace has amazing views.

Good food,

By Tom-Pauwels-BE |

We happened to end up in TimeOut after a heavy rainstorm. We didn't complain about it. Very nice breakfast and nice environment.

Convenient and Tasty

By Natsfan24 |

Nice place to stop for breakfast. Terrific variety and plenty of seating. Can find terrific bagels donuts pancakes and more. A nice place to start a day off in Brooklyn.

Great

By Eduardo Dudinka |

This place is pretty cool. Very clean and organized. Easy to get to by metro. Various options for food. And at the exit, a magnificent view of NY

Something for everyone

By Thesecretdiner |

Have been here a couple of times and there is always a food choice for everyone whatever your needs. Prices are average for a big city so don't expect cheap eats buts its fresh and usually the service is good. Id always recommend heading up to the roof terrace where there is a couple of food outlets and a bar and you have a great view out over the east River and the lower east side of Manhattan and night time is spectacular. be warned though it can get very busy and loud

Craft at Time Out

By JW |

1st, I am a mechanical wheelchair user so I know the challenges. I was looking forward to what I thought was going to be a great selection of craft beer & enjoy the view. The place I was directed for the craft beer was on the 2nd floor. What awaits after the elevator ride is basically an overcrowded food court with a small bar. It was also the 1st time to experience rudeness as I waited in line for what was a very small selection of craft beer. The taste of this beer, which I consider to be one of the best in NYC, helped calm things down along with the view.

Don't miss visiting, great alternative.

By Rosane Beatriz Z |

It is worth visiting the meals are great, has for all tastes. It's a good request in the beautiful Dumbo neighborhood before crossing the bridge on foot.

Average but lots of places

By GheC70 |

There are many spots within gon vatie culinary offerings, all unfortunately with average New York prices. I paid 16.33 for a plate of spaghetti with tomato sauce, including tax, obviously I didn't include a tip, plus there's no service so I don't see the point. A lot of confusion and difficulty in sitting down, as soon as we sat at the outside tables, we were 2 families with children.

Ess A Bagel

By Danielle R |

This review is purely for ess-a-bagel. The other places looked great but we only got a bagel to share. Long wait, crowded seating. Bagel was ok but found Liberty Bagel to be much better.

Good rooftop Bar

By Altbier |

The Time Out Food Market is located in the immediate vicinity of the Brooklyn Bridge. The building is very beautiful. Unfortunately, it is very crowded. However, the bar on the top floor is a great place to take a break and have a few drinks. It has to be said, however, that the outside area of the roof top bar is very small. But you can also sit inside very well.

Great view with accesible prices

By Guillermo Di Bella |

Time Out Market offers an incredible view of the Brooklyn Bridge, along with food options to suit every taste. We sat on the rooftop and were able to order through the app, with the food delivered directly to our table. The pizza and arepa were very good, but the brisket sandwich was disappointing. There was live music that day, which made the experience a bit less enjoyable, but overall it’s a great spot if you’re in the area looking to eat or catch the sunset.

A place to enjoy good food.

By Marcia A |

The place is wonderful, great food options, excellent drinks options, a good service and the space is simply beautiful and the view to Manhattan is wonderful, loved and sure super indicative. I had live music the day I went and super clean bathroom.

Lots of choices and fun atmosphere

By Where2next629 |

You can have everything from Thai to Mexican and everything in between. Cafeteria style seating in Dumbo, walking distance from the ferry landing. There are bars as well to drink at.

Love this place!

By Tracie K |

Love the neighborhood. Very hip atmosphere inside, but not so much so as to turn off the older crowd who may not usually like that sort of thing. Love that you can sit at any table and order from any restaurant within the market, and they bring the food to you! We ordered from Felice Pasta Bar & it was delicious!

Disappointing service

By Mary T |

Amazed that pat lafrieda was unable to advise on the suitability of their food for someone with a nut and peanut allergy, other outlets far more helpful. When will food providers realise the seriousness off these allergies and how hard it is for someone with this to navigate.

A great place to try a variety

By Beth S |

A great experience with lots of different food choices. We grabbed the fish tacos from Mexicana and the. The hummus and potato wedges from we are migrants. All excellent food and a great place to head to. The upstairs has some brilliant local IPAs and views. The market was a nice touch. The number of restrooms should be addressed as long queuing isn’t adequate.

High chance to get something delicious for lunch

By Maria santa |

Had an amazing and delicious lunch. We found this place by chance whilst visiting Brooklyn bridge. If you are around please try it. There is a great variety of food to choose from. We choose japanisch.

Poor service

By Sandra C |

The woman who served us was so rude. Charged 19 dollars for a glass of wine too! Dreadful service. It ruined our whole experience of Dumbo.

Roof top sympa

By Celine B |

Lots of choices. A lot of people. In the end, food without more, restaurant that remains expensive. To see, the roof top for the view of the Manhattan Bridge.

Worth a visit for the views alone

By KABReading |

We had a few reasons to to go the Time Out market in DUMBO, first was to visit the roof Terrace, which is on the 5th floor and can be accessed for free, it has great views back to Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge. Not many places offer such views for free!! We had wanted to get a drink and watch the sunset, but unfortunately a private event meant the 7th floor bar was not accessible to us. So instead we headed inside to the Lobby Bar, not quite the same but the selection of beers was still good and the bartender was super helpful. Bark Barbecue - we could not access this when we originally reached Time Out market due to the private event on the 5th floor, when we were eventually allowed up to the 5th floor they were in the process of closing and had run out of quite a bit, however what they did have left was pretty good. We went for brisket and pulled pork with fried cheese sticks. Not cheap, but very filling.

Didn’t disappoint

By CThorn87 |

We went here off the back off visiting the Lisbon Time Out Market which we really enjoyed a few years back. After walking across the Brooklyn bridge we decided to go and have a look at the New York one, this was just as good if not better. We had the Thai station and it was excellent. Brilliant place

An unexpected Brooklyn treat

By Spud269 |

Took a walk over the iconic Brooklyn Bridge, which was an amazing experience in itself, and is highly recommended. What a treat, when we reached Brooklyn and found this gem. And indoor food market, which oozes quality everywhere. Loads of food choices from steak sandwiches to Thai and everything in between. We got a takeaway chicken sandwich and steak sandwich from a great stall. Food was cooked fresh and we were notified by a personal buzzer when it was ready for collection. Picked it up and ate it in the well-stocked bar for a cold beer to energise us for the walk home. A very relaxed atmosphere. A really unexpected surprise. Quality food and drink and with prices very similar to Manhatten.

Very cool

By Pia M |

Very nice rooftop bar with chill area to take a break during the day in Brooklyn. You can also get drinks from the restaurant and the view is great

Worth a visit

By Eloá Maciel |

Super cool place, different types of food, of different nationalities, I really loved it! Super well located.

Good but overwhelming options!

By Traveler |

Great options but overwhelming at the beginning. Needs some signage for directions but overall, it was okay. Very traffic area for tourist.

To be improved

By la forcella |

Given the reviews I expected much more and instead if you exclude the location .. enviable to a spit from the Brooklyn Bridge .. the rest is to be reviewed .. beautiful idea of many stands dedicated to the cuisines of some countries but disappointing food offer .. New York deserves more

A Very Cool Place to Find A Great Variety of Eateries

By FLB |

We have been to the Time Out Market in Lisbon and wanted to try the one in Brooklyn. The market has a large variety of eateries and they seem to be a step above of many market places of this type. We enjoyed the Pastrami Queen but have heard that Jacob’s Pickles is to die for so will try that next time.

HAPPY PASTA BAR

By SamyCecca_22 |

Excellent food quality... fresh pasta in Rigatoni/penne/spaghetti formats with classic Italian condiments. Very friendly staff. Local adjacent to Brooklyn Bridge. I recommend it!!!

Fantastic market

By vale250584 |

Top market in Brooklin, after crossing the bridge and taking many beautiful photos we dined here, with a wide choice, a very elegant setting and affordable prices. Recommended

Nice relaxed food market with proper food

By Martin F |

The timeout market is really nice. I think it’s one of the best markets we have visited. Relaxed, but good food and nice people. Really looking forward of going again.

Good food

By Janna Lopez |

This market has many options of food, perfect for sweets, also salty, healthy food or drinks, very convenient for winter days.

Brunch time!

By Eisus M |

We went for brunch - chose the Clinton St Bakery. We went around 11am. There was plenty of seating and being a group of 2 we were able to get a nice little spot in the corner. Seemed suitable for all group sizes. Food was ordered online using the service, the wait wasn’t bad and the food was served to us. The staff in both the restaurant and market were really helpful and attentive. The area was tidy, and it was easy to navigate around. The food was really good and the breakfast we had was nice. If I had enough space there was definitely more places I would have tried there, a big variety of food and set us up for the views and the walk back to Manhattan over the Brooklyn bridge. The only issue was the queue for the toilets, it was large and quite long. Although the staff in the toilets managed it well and the facilities were really clean and tidy. Would recommend to go there it’s close to the metro, view points and the bridge with plenty of choices! :)

Review

By Nasreddine Haddioui |

I want to make a review about the restaurant. When i was there, i was waiting for the waiters too long , i also didn't find a place to sit and eat correctly , the restaurant wasn't organised and they didn't pay me attention , i just wanted to order but no one was there . And at last the waiter take my order after a long time and when i got my sandwich i found it overcooked so i got ungry and got out without paying because it was enough for me.

Great chili cheese smashed potatoes at Smashed

By Amie B |

We stopped at smashed while visiting Time out Market .We were pleasantly surprised with the tasty smash burger but the star was the chili cheese smashed potatoes! Omg ! Decadent. Very good chili and the chopped jalapenos on top added a nice crunch and heat. The grilled and smashed potatoes underneath the chili and cheese were so good and crisp yet soft in the middle. The burger was small but delicious. Enjoyed our meal with a refreshing coke in a bottle. Took advantage of ordering on our phone and the food was delivered to us.

Great selection of Bars and Restaurants!

By Traveler |

Timeout Market Brooklyn is such a fun food destination! The energy of the space is electric, with so many different food options all under one roof. It’s the perfect place to go with friends or family because there’s truly something for everyone. I loved being able to grab a little bit of everything — the pizza was spot-on, the seafood tower felt fresh and indulgent, and the cocktails were simple but crafted with care. Service was smooth, and the staff made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The rooftop views are a bonus — such a great spot to hang out after eating. Timeout Market really captures the best of the city in one place. Definitely a must-visit if you want great food, variety, and a lively atmosphere all at once!

Wonderful food and casual dining experience

By justin s |

After a lovely walk over the Brooklyn bridge and grabbing some Dumbo pictures we made our way to this place for some warmth and food. It was very cold that day so needing some warming up. There are a ton of places to eat. Basically find a place to sit and either order online or go to the server located at each food station. There is also a bar so if you want alcohol beverages just grab your drink and take back to your table. It was very busy, but the atmosphere was so nice and service was prompt and friendly. Food was delicious and my beer was so cold and tasty! I would definitely go back again. Great for a casual dining experience. P.S. As with many places in New York, very long toilet queues which can be annoying.

Great place - Great atmosphere - Great food

By Martin G |

Great place to go when walking the Brooklyn Bridge / Dumbo or for a bite to eat. So much choice to suit so many different styles. We went to Bark Barbecue for the brisket but ended up having the pulled pork and pulled brisket sandwiches. They were truly amazing after planning on going here before our visit.

Awesome views and atmosphere

By BillBrowns |

We stopped by for some food and a drink during golden hour. Breathtaking views and ok food. Great walk back to Manhattan via Brooklyn Bridge.

Magic Brooklyn

By s1973s |

Recommended by other reviews we trusted and did very well. Found a place on the terrace to admire the fantastic sunset and the Manhattan Sky line, we also dined divinely with excellent hamburgers. However, some stand (that of the BBQ) was already closing at 20:00.... a notable flaw very common in Manhattan despite the saying "city that never sleeps"... it will be true, but in my Naples more dinner at 02:00 in the morning......

Nice market

By Diego |

Beautiful structure, with the availability of different cuisines, views and a very suggestive area. Prices as high as the city average

Wish this place was close to my home!

By The_Twit |

My mouth is watering as I write this review! The bar had excellent beers on tap, the Mexican place had delicious fish tacos and plantains, and the Maiz Project's beef/cheese/chimichurri arepa was so, so good. Smashed's single smashburger with special sauce had the best texture and taste. You'll have no problem getting a seat before the lunch rush on a weekday. When we went at 2:00 on a Sunday, seats were hard to come by but not impossible.

Lots of great food choices!

By Reviewsbymom |

Lots of food choices here. Reasonable prices. It can be quite busy! The bathrooms are always crowded at the main entrance - walk into the food hall and on the left side in middle you’ll find more.

A great food market in Dumbo

By Josh |

As the title days, a great food market in Dumbo! Similar to other Time Out markets, lots of choice and seating. Had two areas, one on the ground floor and one upstairs. Also free WIFI!

From Jacob’s prickles

By Angi |

Located inside the Time Out market in Brooklyn, we tasted fried chicken with honey at Jacob’s prickles, a bizarre but surprisingly good combination. We really enjoyed it!

Dec 25

By BadBoy83a |

Nice vibe . Not a bad place to visit . 3/5 stars for 2 main reasons . Bathrooms utterly inadequate. As a man , 2 urinals for such a big venue . Went with my wife and 2 daughters . They were queuing for 30 mins plus . Not drinking alcohol but this is a major issue when busy. Advertised table service QR codes but service was unavailable. Poor .

Delicious food, top quality

By Th |

Super delicious food. There is something for everyone here. There is a great view from the roof terrace. Great atmosphere in a pleasant ambience.

Nice food spot in Brooklyn, choices for all desires

By Laureen Dlb |

If you’re visiting Brooklyn, we highly recommend this place! There is a lot of choices for all desires. We took the chicken tempura bao with fries (the menu cost $15) and it was delicious!

Many choices

By open_to_the_world |

The difficulty in coming here, is deciding where to eat in this huge food court. But it also allows a group of folks to have diverse options of what they want to eat. Rooftop for the restaurants and downstairs are the food stalls. It's a busy spot. Especially on nice day when you can enjoy the food on the roof top or outside by the river. Probably hardest places to eat. Better group seating options outdoor near carousel. Order times vary with some taking up to 1 hour depending. Would recommend trying Jacob's pickles for spicy chicken sandwhich or the pastrami ruben at pastrami queen. Finally, important to note that the LINE FOR WOMEN'S RESTROOM IS RIDICULOUSLY LONG!!!! women were using men's restroom confusing the men. Only found 1 restroom on first floor and 1 upstairs. Maybe ladies will have better luck then I did!

OK for a snack, more for tourists

By Max |

The Time Out Market in Brooklyn offers a large selection of different specialties from all over the world. The whole thing seems a little artificial, not like a traditional food market with a lot of history (like Reading Market in Philadelphia, for example). The prices are extremely high for the quality that is offered. Overall, the food there tastes OK, but there are definitely better, more authentic and more inviting food spots in New York than the Time Out Market. If you are nearby and looking for a bite to eat, you will definitely find something.

Had a lunch meeting and the food was amazing, a beautiful view of the Brooklyn Bridge and lower Manhattan.

By Vega631 |

Visited for a lunch meeting, ate a at Bark on the 5th floor, and the barbecue meat was amazing, and the view of the Brookyn Bridge and Lower Manhattan a gorgeous one.

Very good!!

By Josh D |

I was in elementary school once and my mom used to punish me when I misbehaved and I had to go on the stairs and sit because it was a time out!! My mom tells me how she doesn’t want me to smoke any greens in the house and so if I did she’d give me an adult time out!! She knows about my fandom of it so she doesn’t mind if I do it outside but I just can’t do it in the house!! I am going on this rant for no reason but my sister and I went here after going to Luigi’s pizza!! We chilled on the roof a lot and got drinks and rainbow cookies!! I had a good time and they had a lot of stores!!

Foody heaven

By Savage1978 |

Everything at your fingertips. Food, drink and simplicity. Had the smashed burger and local beer whilst visiting from the UK. Family had Thai, Italian and lots more. Thoroughly recommend it if getting out of the cold and relaxing

Amazing views and great food

By Amy D |

I loved how many different food stalls there were, including bars and dessert places. Upstairs was also much quieter and had a rooftop bar area that overlooked Brooklyn Bridge.

Loads to eat, drink and do!

By OliwaVasicek |

Spent an afternoon here, eating and drinking our way through the market. Highly recommended for NY locals and tourists alike!

Cozy in the morning

By BienZh |

We were here early in the morning and there weren't many people - but only a few shops/food stalls were open. A cool, hip concept, which of course also attracts a lot of influencers. In the morning, however, it was quite idyllic.

Cozy with lovely views!

By Magnuz S |

A nice bar and restaurant in DUMBO, on the Brooklyn Bridge with nice views of the East River and Lower Manhattan. Nice staff and everything looked fresh and delicious. I just had a cocktail that was very good!

Time out Market

By Chris L |

Time Out did an amazing job. The building is stunning. The rooftop has some amazing views. Lots of interesting and delicious looking restaurants. The only negative is that there aren't enough seats or restrooms on the weekends. Crowded with long line ups. Out of the way but happy we visited.

A great location with plenty of choice!

By 2411caths |

Having walked from Nomad in Manhattan, over the Manhattan Bridge to Dumbo, the Time Out Market was an ideal location for us to grab some lunch before making our way back over the Brooklyn Bridge. There was a great selection and we didn't find it too busy (busy, yes... but we quickly found somewhere to sit). We'd definitely come back!

Highly recommended

By andreadecillia |

A must visit place. Totally recommend Bark Barbecue, but there’s food for everyone! If you have a chance to sit on the terrace on the 5th floor, they view is outstanding!

Good.

By Fabredrum |

The place is nice (when there are not too many people). Wide choice of dishes from all walks of life. The service is fast, the prices correct. Even if the portions are more or less generous. Free toilet. Do not forget the rooftop to enjoy the view!

Recommend Okiboru at Time Out Market

By Fireweed25 |

We arrived just before many of the dining establishments were opening for lunch (11 am). The breakfast and bagel places were already open. After walking around and reading menus of the varied food options we decided on Japanese food at Okiboru. This was a fantastic decision. Staff was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch of chicken tempura bao buns with garlic nori fries and Tan Tan Ramen with chicken dumplings. We are still talking about that ramen and how good it was. It was not busy yet at the market so we were able to eat at the bar style seating but it looks like it could get very crowded leading to difficulty finding a place to sit. While the food was wonderful and the view awesome from the roof top, there are not enough washroom stalls for the women’s washroom and the line up was ridiculous. Poor planning in this respect. Otherwise, it was a great stop for lunch before walking the Brooklyn Bridge back to Manhattan. The 5 star rating is specifically for Okiboru. Highly recommend as a lunch or dinner option.

Options Are Many

By Ralph M |

The difficulty of coming here is deciding on where to spend your money in the huge food court. The food court upstairs in the rooftop and downstairs are all food courts. It’s a busy spot especially on a nice day when you want to come and eat good food. It can get crowded with long queues. It’s a trendy place unique and will not disappoint. Time Out Market in Brooklyn Bridge is the place to be.

Food market

By Janna Lopez |

This place has plenty options to eat, it’s hard to decide if you don’t know exactly what do you want. You can order your food and sit where you like to enjoy it, nice place to explore.

Outstanding

By Corinne M |

So far, best value for money we've had. All under one roof. We sampled a Smash burger with chicken cheese fries, an Okuburo pad Thai washed down with local beers. Enjoyed the Clinton st Bakery pancakes in Brooklyn Park too.

This is a stellar food court worth considering if you're in the area. It is located in an old, expertly restored brick warehouse and you can find practically everything there. To get the best, however, you must take the elevator (entering on the left) and go up to the top floor (you can eat there too) to enjoy a rooftop with a sensational view of the 2 bridges and the city. As you know, you can order from the various stands and sit at communal tables. It costs a lot (because for me 10 dollars just for an average beer is a lot) but the quality and uniqueness of the products is unquestionable. I tried the BBQ (I got the brisket) and I didn't regret it.

Well worth a visit...

By RnWP |

Don’t miss the Time Out Market if you get across the Brooklyn Bridge. We called at Ess-a-Bagel for breakfast after seeing the wonderful bridge Manhattan Bridge from the Dumbo area; we have never seen such a huge choice of bagels and fillings, all of which were delicious! Make sure you go out the back of the market, to see the views of the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges and the river, stunning!

Better in the evening

By angela0809 |

Very lively and with many different places. The evening is definitely busier, but absolutely enjoyable. I recommend a ride.

Normal food

By Ale_Zuca |

Normal food, tending to burn the two pizzas and the Milanese sandwich. The place is beautiful and you pay for the views in a beautiful place

Beautiful food market

By Jérôme B. |

Superb food market. Multiple stands with different offers. The place is interesting. Near Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge. I urge you to go there.

Worth a visit with great food

By southies233 |

Found this by accident whilst exploring and so glad we did. You can find a table and order food from any of the numerous food outlets and they'll bring it to you. Food was yummy and prices were fair. Would recommend.

Lots of Choices Here

By Thomas V |

This is a lovely food court with some of the best cooks in Brooklyn performing, preparing dishes for you of various types of cuisine. Big tables available for you to eat. Lots of choices and good food.

Awesome view, great atmosphere!

By Valentina |

Great atmosphere, cool architecture and an amazing view from the rooftop! We were here in the evening and found it really impressive. There were various small stands and restaurants on the ground floor. It's definitely worth a visit!

Fast food but nothing special

By Wolfgang S |

Fast food , rich offer, not particularly good. Table service available. Breakfast definitely better. Dinner is more like canteen dinner.

Yes but no

By billou67 |

Endless waiting. Unpleasant staff Not sure to come back or rather sure not to come back, except to enjoy the view of Manhattan.

Pancakes to die for

By BF826 |

We headed over to Brooklyn Bridge/Dumbo for sunrise, so glad we did it was so peaceful and really got to take in the beauty of Brooklyn and Dumbo. I recommend before popping in to have something to eat, going up to the rooftop to see the views, they’re stunning. It can be quire windy on the rooftop in the winter. As we were in Brooklyn so early, we waited for opening, and it was so worth it as it was nice and quiet, and the food was delicious. The pancakes were to die for, still think of these pancakes. The grilled cheese with 3 different cheeses was the best grilled cheese I’ve had. There is limited seating for each food vender, so I can imagine it being difficult to get seated when its very busy, when we left around 10ish it was starting to get busy, so I highly recommend getting there early.

Very good place with buzzing atmosphere

By Steve |

This is a lively place with a buzzing atmosphere, can be hard to get served at the bar and the seating is limited but overall worthwhile place to visit

Plenty of choice from different bars and eateries.

By Karrempje |

Coincidentally, I had been in Lisbon during time out last month. This made me recognize the principle. Various eateries and bars. There are also toilets. You order, wait for your order and then you look for a place to sit. If there are more people, you can arrange this better.

Lively place

By Mike D |

This is a very lively place with lots of options to eat, just a little expensive. Small bottle of Diet Coke over $5 , but a Great area of Brooklyn by the bridge .

Brilliant stop

By 476jonathann |

What a brilliant place. Great selection of food and just what we needed after a walk over a very busy Brooklyn bridge. Topped off by great evening photos of Manhattan at night across the water. Highly recommend.

Great experience

By Gonzo974 |

The principle is not bad, lots of restaurants with counters where you can order, world cuisine, vegetarian, etc... And a bar! Then we find space where we can in this large canteen. Not recommended for large groups as it gets crowded. We ate at Maiz Project, it was delicious!

Must Do

By GuiWong |

Stopped for a bite. Go to the Rooftop. Limited but good selection of food. Delicious pork sandwich and a cold brew too!

I guess you pay for style

By Max It Out |

Really nice destination, lovely inside and a decent selection of food. However I found it a bit pretentious and over priced, but good quality

The best place to enjoy Brooklyn at sunset!

By Marta M |

It is worth it even just for the fantastic view you have from the terrace of the restaurant at sunset! The food is good even if it is always crowded and so I recommend to be there early to be able to take a seat outside and enjoy the sunset which is really stratospheric!!!!

Incredible place

By Marcia A |

The place is simply wonderful, with excellent food options, good wines, a wonderful view of the city, with the bridge in the background, loved tudooooo.

FOOD HEAVEN

By Pallav Singla |

lot of variety , authentic and tasty. great place to unwind after work or weekends. went their with family and had a ball. The only downside of this place is its crowded and pricey with self service but good times are guaranteed. lovely view of the Brooklyn bridge from the patio. the bar is busy so its advisable to pre decide your drinks.

Amazing little gem!

By Khols |

Amazing little gem with delicious varied food choices and fabulous views! Fed 3 of us for around $60 which in the city is fantastic value. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Excellent cuisine with a spectacular view!

By beppe v |

We stopped on the top floor of this Market to eat something at the restaurants present and I must say that we really ate well. Slightly expensive but worth it! Then the view of the Brooklyn Bridge has a certain charm.

Great vibe, food & view - but pricey

By davetheguide |

On our last day visiting NYC, we took a walk on a beautiful sunny (and cold) day from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade to DUMBO. The views of lower Manhattan are fantastic on this walk. If you visit DUMBO, this is the place to go for lunch. The vibe is nice (though it was very crowded at lunch time). Food was upscale fast food with lots of interesting options. Only complaint is that prices are quite high - but I guess you are paying for the view and the vibe here.

Great place but too long a queue to the toilet

By MygganofSweden |

Great selection of different dishes, lots of tables, fresh. Nice building in this fun area. Good salad and good but strong taco. The thing that pulls down the grade is that it feels a bit expensive and there is a låyyy steam line to the ladies toilet.

Nice market, lots of choice and a mega view

By Christina R |

A really nice food market. Can be combined with a visit to the Brooklyn Bridge and Brooklyn Bridge Park. A great view from the rooftop and very delicious food.

Nice and modern

By Goyalex |

The market is a very modern place with pleasant construction and decoration. In addition to its location with a terrace overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan. There are several culinary options but like all these places in NYC it is somewhat expensive.

Great food, so many choices!

By jkumpon |

Soooo many options of great food. Everyone was happy. Nice indoor and outdoor areas to sit and eat. Great views.

Great buzz

By hallspic |

Great spot, if you can get a table. We went on a very busy Sunday midmorning. Just drinks. Very buzzy and set some of us up for the walk back over the bridge. I on the other hand found a fabulous flea market - Brookly Flea under the Manhattan bridge

Crowded, limited seating

By dolittledigger |

Cool building used to house so many places to choose from, but very limited seating!! Super crowded, long lines. We ended up on the roof after with a perfect spot to sit with our beers. Bathroom lines LONG. All of them as in 20 people deep and only a few stalls.

Dine under the Brooklyn Bridge

By mariaeugenia m |

We like this former storage warehouse from the early 1900s, under the Manhattan Bridge, transformed into a place where you can eat while enjoying the view of Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge. The ravioli at Felice Pasta Bar were better than those sometimes eaten in Italian restaurants. Come here at sunset.

Delicious Food Market

By Sylvia S |

Nice food market with a wide selection of different types of food. Everyone is sure to find something here. Ideal for a quick stop or a short break.

Busy foodcourt

By Acineto |

The market is located in the Empire Stores building by the East River. It is fairly big and very busy when I was there. There were a few different food stalls available with a range of cuisines located on the ground and 5th floor. It is similar to a food court but a bit nicer since it also had a bar.

Typical

By berte14 |

If you are in Dumbo, it is worth a stroll inside to browse through the multitude of cuisines and people that characterize it. I also recommend not looking at the prices and stopping at least for an aperitif. Behind, the waterfront promenade with a view of Manhattan is like no other...

A great idea with lots of choice

By Alessandro B |

A large place where the table area is shared but then you can find various areas with different cuisines done very well. Finding a place isn't always easy but for being in NY the prices are reasonable. I took the ramen, spectacular, the photo doesn't do it justice, really good even if a little spicy, but really well done and complete. In the restaurant there is an elevator that takes you to a rooftop with a free terrace overlooking NY.

Excellent choice in Dumbo

By Johnmclane |

In a beautiful large building is located this market with many dining options. We decided on The Rogue Panda and Bark Barbecue. All right, both of you. Excellent meat the second. Well designed place. Recommended

Smashed burgers great.

By Cullum P |

Visited smashed burgers. Great food, though a bit hard finding a seat but we managed in the end. Would deffo recommend if you are in the area.

Fabulous

By Andy |

Had a lovely walk around, so many places to eat and drink in a oldy world industrial theme. From a glass of wine to a an amazing steak, every taste catered for.

Great spot for Lunch, drinks and scenic views

By MissNLW |

Came here with my partner recently for a drink and some lunch. So many food options to choose from. We had mac and cheese from Jacobs pickled which I can highly recommend and then we took it up to the roof top to enjoy with a couple of drinks. Prices are inflated a bit due to where you are but not too bad for new york. $24 for a beer and a wine. Great scenic views from the rooftop and a nice ambiance. The only issue was that the out door seating is quite limited if you want to have a drink as you can only take drinks in certain areas. On a sunny day I can imagine it gets really crowded so perhaps more seating is needed? Otherwise a great spot to enjoy lunch and a drink and views over Manhatten. I come to New York regularly for work and can't believe I've never been here before. Will definitely be back.

Time for tacos

By Swedishtomcat |

The market has lots of different stalls serving NY classics such as hot dogs and bagels, but also Italian pastas and Mexican tacos. You won’t be hungry but it is rather pricey. It’s also the perfect location for taking that iconic photo of the Empire State Building through the Manhattan Bridge arch.

Sunset views to remember!

By Marisol |

We took the ferry to Dumbo, wonder around looking to find the place and for us was really was a nice surprise. A lot of options to eat and have a drink…so finally at the end we found the elevator and found what we were looking for…a place to have great drinks with amazing views!! Bonus: live music to hang out all night long!! We were having so much fun we got lost in time. We also lost the last ferry. Omg! It’s midnight. Everything is closed. No ferry, dead phones and now what? Where is the subway? Then, We saw all the people walking in one direction, so we went with the flow and thank God we arrived to the station!!!! What a night to remember!!!

Great location, not so great service.

By Dream11898389617 |

Very popular location and great views of Manhattan and Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges. Slightly limited range of drinks on offer with draft beers more focused on the local IPAs and pils. Needs a more generic offering to appeal. Service was under pressure and more staff definitely need to help the experience work better .

The mac and cheese is delish!

By Jai H |

We ordered the chicken and mac and cheese. The chicken had a delicious flavor and tasty crunch. The mac and cheese was some of the best I’ve ever eaten. The staff was friendly and accommodating of our group.

Great Views

By devongirlie67 |

This was an amazing place. The outdoor views of Brooklyn Bridge were amazing. The atmosphere inside was great. There are lots of little eateries downstairs and upstairs some more places to order food and drink with indoor and outdoor places to sit. We ordered cocktails and they were amazing, although more expensive that we are used to paying.

A cool vibe, but a little disappointing!

By Kate Rothwell |

I was so excited to visit the time out market in Brooklyn. I had seen so many pictures of this online. I have to say I was slightly disappointed with the whole experience. There was a good few of the venders closed within the market. We decided to have bao buns and vegetable gyozas. The food was very average and the gyozas were just like spring rolls. The food was okay, just not what we had expected. The overall market was a cool vibe, I think we just selected the wrong vender to eat from! There was a pasta bar that I regret not going to! I will 100% be checking that out next time! Time out market is right as you exit from the ferry, so it’s very central and a cool thing to do!

Time Out

By E.L.E |

Big food court with lots of international cuisines. Ordered a steak sandwich and it was delicious. Convenient location too

Wonderful view

By MARISA F |

Wonderful location, fantastic views and good food. A highly recommended place for any visit to NY , especially in good weather

Easy going Brooklyn eating

By REBECCA ECCLESTONE |

Having wandered around Brooklyn for a considerable amount of time, trying to find somewhere for lunch, we happened upon the time out market. There’s everything on offer, for allsorts of food including pastas, burgers, desserts etc. you order at your chosen counter depending on what type of food you want and sit in a banquet style seating area or at the counter. There’s also a lovely rooftop bar with great views of Manhattan. Would highly recommend for a visit at the start or end of your walk over Brooklyn bridge. Excellent value for money.

all good

By Rob C |

Great place to visit. Good choice of food, lots of options available and different tastes catered for. Prices are fine, good value. Plenty seats, busy but never overcrowded. Staff all very nice in the venue. Would go back and recommend to my friends.

Gastronomic market

By Bianca Blaezer |

Place with various options for food, drinks, places for photos and even to meet local artists who exhibit in the market. It's worth a visit.

Take a while to get going

By Nilinosa |

We arrived early on Sunday morning and most of the food places were not open. (10am) . The Clinton St cafe had a long queue and the Eggs Benedict egg was hard. I'd recommend going to the Flea market instead for bargains, although some of the individual outlets were high quality (but expensive)

Ceccino Restaurant

By Kamilla V |

Very well located, after we left on the Brooklin Bridge. We picked up a table on the outside. It was pretty loud, and the waiters took a while to answer us. But the food was impeccable. And it came pretty fast.

Fantastic

By MHLorenz |

I almost walked past it. A culinary gem with lots of street food stalls under one roof. A must visit if you're in Brooklyn Park. Opposite the historic carousel. Awesome.

Fun variety of foods

By Kili_Aztec |

Wonderful variety of foods to try. We had Mexican. It can be hard to find a place to sit and eat so suggest finding somewhere to sit and having one person save the seats and the other goes to get food.

Great place to stop, meander, snack, have a vino - soak in the best of the ‘hood.

By Sean H |

We loved the setting here - so many dining options in a chic industrial setting with such an amazing view. The range of dining and drinking options is fantastic - something here for everyone and the venues are clean and well maintained.

A must visit place in Brooklyn

By leandro n |

It’s my second Time Out that I’ve visited and there is no doubt that this one it’s the best. Why? It has a huge options of restaurants and the rooftop has an amazing view to Manhattan.

Don't bother If you're not a dude

By filitrotti |

This is one of those places women are not welcome. Line to women's rest room about 15 m , men's no queue at all. One mother was changing her baby on corridor floor.

An must

By Anne |

Superb view of the Husson river and both bridges Excellent sushi and delicious pizza Nice atmosphere Very smiling and friendly service and staff Not to be missed.

Absolutely worth trying.

By Dago67 |

Before crossing the Brooklyn Bridge we stopped at the Time Out Market as recommended by some websites visited before leaving for NY. EXCELLENT suggestion since we were happy with the stop... and sorry not to be able to taste the other specialties too. This is because there are many stations, including renowned fast food outlets or restaurants and pastry shops, which you can choose based on your tastes and any allergies/intolerances. Highly recommended.

Intriguing, rich and chaotic

By Smallsaints |

Very well thought out place to spend a moment choosing between any type of cuisine you want. Carefully select the moment, being also thought as a “trap” for tourists I do not think there are moments when it is empty, but I happened on a Friday night and it was chaos. Complicated eating close if you are more than 3-4 people and prices certainly not from popular market, quite the contrary. The kitchens tried (Thai and fried chicken) were not bad, maybe not excellent levels but pleasant experiments (for us). On the top floor you can have a drink while standing on the rooftop admiring the Manhattan skyline; very suggestive. Increasingly iconic place in the heart of cel Dumbo, it is worth a pass for the wide choice and quality but, although very well organized, it can be stressful.

Food court with a lot of different cooking styles

By shortshank2015 |

This is a food court with communal seating areas and a host of different vendors cooking up food from around the globe. Between the six of us we had food from Thailand, India and America, all dishes were freshly prepared and very tasty. Prices for what we had varied from between $13- $26 although there were cheaper and more expensive choices on offer depending on what you fancied. It’s not a chic stylish restaurant but if you’re in a group and can’t decide between Thai, Indian or American then you can go here and everyone gets the type of food they want.

Not a great experience. Facilities are poor it’s expensive for what it is

By Cassius F |

I have been here before and it was as okay but this time the food was cold . The toilets were queuing out of the building . It is hugely expensive would go to a nice eatery nearbye.

All right.

By jerem |

Great deal! Full of small restaurant with a rooftop that offers breathtaking views. We ate the bagels, a treat! Not to be missed

Inadequate amount of bathrooms for the size and amount of people

By C0lR0b |

If you sell alcohol you should have more bathrooms. Crazy 45 min queues for the toilet. Kind of spoiled a nice afternoon out

An real Brooklyn experience

By Robyn A |

Such an amazing atmosphere with great view over Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge. You can easily access it with a short Wall from Brooklyn Bridge. Start with going down to Pebble beach and then go for a drink at thw roof top bar. From 16 PM they have a band and happy hour. We just sat there for a couple of hours drinking Brooklyn pale ale and just looking at the view. An real Brooklyn experience!

Amazing view!

By Ana Cristina |

We had lunch at the team out, there are great options, we chose a sandwich restaurant on the top floor. It was all amazing. The drinks are great. The view from the roof top is worth a visit.

Panorama

By sara f |

The Time Out Market New York is located in the heart of DUMBO, Brooklyn, and is a landmark for tourists and New Yorkers alike. Inside there are high quality restaurants, street food stands, bars and spaces dedicated to cultural events and entertainment. Among its most striking features is the rooftop terrace, from which you can admire one of the most iconic views of the city, with the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan skyline as a backdrop. The atmosphere is lively and contemporary, with a mix of scents and flavors from all over the world, ideal for both a quick break and for taking memorable photos.

Awesome panoramic bar

By Bobby |

Wonderful location between Brooklyn and Manhattan bridge. Large place to drink and eat, with musical entertainment and Caribbean dancing. Prices a little above average, but sipping a pint from the terrace pays off.

Daddy-Daughter Day

By Stan Tecza |

Took the pup to TimeOut Market to enjoy the holiday energy. Walked along the water and enjoyed the market. Had 2 drinks that were actually very good, a hot butter bourbon cocktail and an old fashioned. Grabbed a double burger at pat lafrieda which reminded me of camp. Cheesesteak was not bad but I liked the burger better.

Great casual dining food market by the river in Dumbo

By Harrogate and Happy |

Great place for anytime of the day eats and drinks. Casual dining with wide choice of cuisines on offer. Can get busy, so finding seats sometimes challenging. Enjoyed our visit and great to walk around Dumbo

Very good

By umbobl |

Gorgeous local in a beautiful location (especially from the terrace c is an exceptional view) with plenty of choice

FABULOUS

By Travel Bug |

Fantastic view of the Brooklyn Bridge.  A selection of venues from burgers, pizza to sushi. It's self serve. The maintenance staff, friendly and welcoming. Prices fare considering ita a high tourist area. Take the elevator, it's 4 or 5 stories by stairs 😮‍💨

Go to the rooftop

By KatieN445 |

Would definitely recommend visiting the roof top bar here for a brilliant view of the river. However, it would be nice if there were more toilet facilities and toilet attendants. I queued for about 20 minutes waiting to use the toilet and everyone said there was not loo roll so we just took some out of the store cupboard.

Great views from the roof……….

By HolidaymakerfromHove |

We popped in for a look but did not eat here. A very expensive option considering what else is available in the near vicinity. Great views from the roof terrace. Recommended for a look.

Please visit !

By craigandgail |

We visited dumbo and the Time out market … the views incredible and a wide selection of foods and drinks … busy and a fabulous vibe ! Def worth a visit!

Very crowded, not enough spaces, good variety of food

By CoisDeZweed |

There is a lot of choice in food, but the place is too smalle to have a good food stand/seating ratio. There are just too many food stands and not enough places to sit. Also, there are not enough toilets. Too bad.

Brilliant place for grub

By tinylass |

We have visited a few Time Out Markets now and they are all excellent. A massive variety of food and drink all under one roof and all top notch! Beware the toilet queues though; they were huge!!!

You must go!

By sunshineprincess |

Best place for amazing food in DUMBO. So much choice! Great view from rooftop bar. We tried the Steak&Cheese from Pat LaFrieda and the Buffalo Chicken Mac&Cheese from Jacob Pickles....both were awesome!
