Rude Manager and Waiter

By Jordan W |

Had dinner here on a recent Friday night and it was one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life. I don't often write reviews but the manager and waiter I had were rude as hell & I saw multiple cockroaches running around and I feel too upset not to warn others. My waiter's name was Trevor and he was cold and didn't smile once. He was rude and was rushing me and my friend the entire time. I think the manager was named Jonny and I heard him laughing & making fun of customers (as it was quite loud from the front area) and saying some harsh comments about people's weight. NYC should shut this place down tbh...

Great Visit

By SigEpGov |

This name is appropriate as it is tiny, but not cramped. Did not see the bar upstairs. While the menu is brief there is enough variety. Service was fast and the food very good. This place gets busy so make a reservation. Check out the online menu before you go.

Tiny in name but big on portions

By bay-back |

If you’re going for dinner avoid lunch! This lovely, friendly restaurant in TriBeCa is a little gem. We shared a meatball starter and donut dessert; both were superb but the hanger steak was something else. Perfectly seasoned and rested this steak would not have embarrassed renowned steak houses. My daughter and I would certainly recommend this quaint, relaxed restaurant with great food and drink. Enjoy!

Sadly, No.

I love to leave great reviews. However, it's just not possible for this restaurant. We were in town for thanksgiving holiday and very excited about our reservations. The lighting and ambience are great. The servers were friendly. Yet, the service was actively bad and the food was very mediocre. ( Bread service arrived after our first course and our cocktails arrived after the first course... wine was served after 20 minutes of ordering with empty cocktail glasses). Honestly, I love quirky and quality - but this was just poor- at a very premium price. New York has amazing options.. this is not one of them.

Great Cozy Spot

By Kevin M |

Great Menu, Our waitress was smart and friendly. Atmosphere is really cool; exposed brick walls, dark and cozy in the back. My wife and I shared the dinner special and it was out of this world. We will be back next time we are stopping through NYC.

Very good

Work around the corner and have had drinks here but finally had a bite to eat. My dinner was very good! Had the steak and it was cooked very well. Also had a side of Brussel sprouts and they were delicious. Would highly recommend!

Fabulous Brunch at Tiny's

By misterduffy |

We visited while in Tribeca NYC in February 2016 and really enjoyed the experience. It was a frigidly cold day, and the outside vestibule really sheltered the front section of the restaurant from the wind and cold. The staff was helpful, cheerful and quirky. We were at Tiny's around brunch time, and ordered off that menu. Great bloody mary and the Gruyere omelette with housemade cheddar and chive tater tots was a stand out. Great vintage and rustic interior. Overall, a very good meal and experience. Recommended!

Hidden tiny gem in TriBeCa

By ADXBS |

Was disappointed to see the place was fully booked on the website but we turned up as walk in at around 0530pm and we found a cosy little corner. The truffle fries are a scrumptious snack to accompany some drinks and the burgers and pumpkin risotto were very good as well. Helpful and proactive attentive staff.

The place is tiny but the service is tremendous!

By Aydenwood |

We found Tiny's through a local. There was a wait but friendly hostess Ashley managed to speed things up for us. She was the first great thing about this unique little place. The food is flavorful, plentiful and delicious. I tried an egg and veggie sandwich with the "famous" tator tot home fries; it did not disappoint. Partner had the veggie pancake made of graons, kale, etc. and loved it. French press coffee was strong and hot, as it should be. It was clear that the management knows what it is doing. Our server Maya and all the bus people worked together to make the experience a great one for us. We would certainly return. Kudos to all - but especially to Ashley, whose attitude set the tone when we walked in.

My favorite breakfast/lunch/drink place in NYC

By bevcoe50 |

This tiny pink wonder looks like Charles Dicken's "The Old Curiosity Shoppe." I love the vibe; relaxed, upbeat, but not pretentious. I've only had breakfast and lunch there and both were just right - the salmon Eggs Benedict with delectable side of potatoes can't be beat. They also have the very best (albeit smallish) Bloody Mary I've had in NYC, and that says a lot. When I stay in Tribeca, this is my place.

Amazing brunch!

By SDF049 |

Thoroughly enjoyed our brunch- the wait- time was not bad at all for a Sunday, but we were two; larger parties should reserve. Service was excellent and helpful and we never felt rushed despite the queue downstairs (we were upstairs- beautiful). Food was fresh with quality ingredients brilliantly executed and not at all "precious" as similar dishes often are in other establishments. Quality is the key-word here. Yum.

Intimate, candlelit, great cocktail. Love!

By jcbexleyoh |

In an age of soulless corporate dining the Little Bar Upstairs is my idea of a delightful place for an hour or two. My Manhattan with walnut liquor was balanced and deliciously original. My husband’s oj was fresh-squeezed. The barkeep was attentive. We just loved being warm and welcome here on a cruel winter evening.

Good food, cool NYC vibe

By John N |

Saturday evening around 8:45, made reservation that afternoon. Party of 4. Seated first floor by the real wood-burning fireplace (I liked that, it was a chilly night). Small but with a very cool, old NYC vibe. Party at table across the room even had a famous actor (cool celebrity sighting). Not cheap, but the food was good. I had a nice scallop entree (very good) and a brussel sprouts side dish (very good) and an interesting squash appetizer (OK). Good wine. Attentive, friendly and discrete service that willingly moved us when a better table opened up. Bathroom facilities are limited (one unisex toilet on first floor) and the place is "intimate" - a loud party nearby was too close for comfort. Overall a very good meal in a cool spot I would enthusiastically try again.

Would come back. Feels like a local secret spot.

By AislingMattie |

If you’re looking for a cosy and atmospheric spot with lovely food for a date or a catch up with a close friend- this spot is a great choice. It’s really small. Hence the name. But really- it’s so small! You have to be comfortable with sitting very close to your neighbouring diners. It was December when we went so I found this added to the coziness. It’s very low-lit. Personally, I like this but older people (like my mum) would find it quite hard to see menus/food etc... I found it really added to the atmosphere. It feels like you’re in on a little local secret. The food is very good for this price point- the first spot in a while to make me think I’d happily sacrifice trying one of the many restaurants on my “to try” list in order to come back and try other items on the menu. The food is nicely presented, the portions are adequate and, most importantly, taste good. The waiting staff are attentive but, thankfully, don’t hover. Really nice evening.

Amazing Food

By Ali-Beau |

Such a cute little spot! Amazing food - I had the duck and can’t recommend this enough. Super cosy restaurant with the open wood fire, great for those cold NY winter nights. Staff were excellent and the cocktails were delish

Very nice for a quiet dinner

By FredTravelVa |

Had a quiet business dinner here. Tiny's is tiny. But food was good. One drawback -- Tiny's air conditioning was overwhelmed by a historic heatwave putting NYC in the upper 90s. Really couldn't tell that Tiny's had any a/c. Although menu is tiny, had a very good meal. And would come back. Tiny but cute.

A great little place for brunch/lunch and to hang out

By Kim K |

We were walking up the street and saw this tiny Tiny's and had to try it. We were upstairs in the bar, and the brunch/lunch menu was great - we had the kale salad and it was fabulous. Loved the copper and brass tables. Good service and a fun historic building.

Delicious cozy meal!

By Cardine09 |

We had a great meal; Salmon with Lentils and chicken with a delicious sauce/broth. We ate downstairs near the fireplace, which was lovely on a cold February night. The tart with Blueberries and a bottle of Pinot Noir topped off a lovely evening!

Tiny's and The Bar Upstairs 135 West Broadway/ NYC/ Near Church/ West Bdwy/ Thomas/ Duane.

By ZERO-NONSENSE |

Tiny's and The Bar Upstairs 135 West Broadway/ NYC Near Church/ West Bdwy/ Thomas/ Duane in The Financial District general area. We always seem to windup going there for a deliciously tasty early-morning breakfast from a selective menu. We feel that the boutique price is worth it for what we want to get out of it, from our perspective. You are going there for the nostalgic experience of yesteryear feelings. .... What a nifty Cozy Nostalgic vest-pocket vintage eatery off the main street entrance. Don't let the 'A' AD-sign stop you from using your strength to open up the heavy entrance door. When we went-again this time around, it was bustling as always with still-only one Table Server, who tries do their best to keep up with the Table Orders. The only-one main floor toilet is the only cramped-box that we are always somewhat exasperated-with! It was our impression, that this snug hidden gem is more-optimally suited for a leisurely informal relaxed visit for those who were not in a hurry to chow down then rush off to work? We keep overhearing that the UPSTAIRS BAR 'jumps' at night; but, we never seem to be around that area at those times to be able to capture that experience, as-yet. IF you are in that area, and, you are not in a hurry, and, further, want a relaxed, homey, informal bite, then you can't go wrong with going there. Maybe we will be lucky-enough to get to the evening UPSTAIRS BAR that 'jumps' !!!???!!!

Unique spot for a great meal

By Bill B |

We were told of Tiny's by our friend's daughter, who lives and works in NY City. We spent the morning at the 9-11 museum, and had made reservations for 1:30, but got lost due to there being two streets with similar names, Broadway and West Broadway. Finally found our way after calling twice. Got seated about 5 minutes after finding it, and were taken to a great table in the back, with plenty of space for the four of us to eat without being crowded. The food was very unique at 1:30, brunch was offered until 3, mostly with an egg included, and it was very tasty. If you like fresh, different, and cozy, you will like this place. It is tiny.

The coziest of places in NYC

By Matthew D |

Tiny's is such an adorable, cozy place with amazing food and drinks and such a beautiful little interior space. The ambience is great, and the fireplace in the middle really helps with the coziness. I went for brunch and everyone had something different and it was all amazing! And the mimosas are out of this world. I highly recommend it if you're in the area. Stop by and enjoy the best brunch I had in NYC and one of the best mimosas I've had in a long time. Also, the wait-staff is incredibly friendly; just genuinely nice people and the service was fantastic. Tips: there isn't a ton of seating so it wouldn't be good for large groups. But that is the only con about this place otherwise, I loved it.

Fantastic kale salad but service is not so good...

By MJB1104 |

This place was recommended by my foodie friends so I was looking forward to it. They rave about the kale salad so I ordered it as my main. Kale with toasted walnuts, apples, carrots, shredded gouda with maple-mustard vinaigrette and it was delicious! Probably one of the best kale salads I have tried. The reason why I only gave this 3 stars is because the service was not at par with the food quality. My friend is a vegetarian so when she ordered her sides, she asked whether they were made with butter or olive oil --- and if they were made with butter, can the chef use olive oil instead. Our orders came and the person who took our orders had not come back on my friend's query. He was very busy with other tables that it was difficult to get his attention. Then he came to us and just said the the sides are on their way. So my friend did not have her food all at the same time. Then when we called his attention again to ask for the dessert menu, and they gave us the bill. Did they want us out? He did apologize though. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate mousse which was just ok. The place is really tiny and feels cramped. We were seated upstairs by the corner and it was extremely cold. Sure it was 5degrees outside but the place lacked heating. Since I loved the kale salad but was not so keen on the place, I went back the next day and ordered the salad to go.

Worst Coffee Ever

By Sandy N |

Just had brunch at this restaurant which looked so charming. My daughter ordered a soy latte which was so hot that it burnt her lip and the milk had split. The waitress was sullen and I gave a tip which was less than the prescribed rate as the coffee at $5 a cup was not good. Upon reviewing my credit card I was charged a tip rate of 20%. All in all a very unsatisfying experience.

Big love for Tiny's

By JB10001 |

I have been here for brunch on a few occasions and love this joint. A nutritious and delicious kale salad with apple slices and walnuts for the weight/health conscious. The best damned hamburger for miles. Egg dishes with scrumptious bacon and grits, or Benedict style, sure to cure the most severe hangovers. Fresh squeezed juice. There's limited outdoor seating, a few tables up front and a cave like back room. I have yet to go but intend to visit the bar upstairs.

Horrible Customer Service by Management

By Michael S |

While the meal was great and the ambiance was wonderful, my credit card numbers were stolen by the staff at the restaurant and used later at an establishment in the city. I was visiting for the day and this was the only time it was used while in NYC. I called and expressed this to the staff. I was told it would be taken seriously by the staff. The manager called me back and could not have been more rude. He denied any culpability by his staff and did not offer any goodwill for what had occurred. This is entirely unprofessional. I will never recommend this restaurant after such a response from the manager. There was zero understanding for the situation and this shows they do not care about their customers.

Tiny table available on the sidewalk caught our eye

By Barbara P |

Taking a well needed rest and very happy to have enjoyed our lunch stop. Food was excellent with a pleasant choice of beers. Service was great. Doesn't look like much but worth the stop. The Bar Upstairs was not open at lunch time, so never got to see how tiny that might be!

Top spot

By Annemarie |

Very nice place and delicious food. The meatballs are very tasty and the fries are great! The service is very nice and they often walk around

Tiny restaurant but it will eat a big hole in your wallet

By Chmpgnrose |

"It's always darkest just before the dawn." -- Unknown In hopes to attain inner peace for a phlegmatic disposition dinner for one was called upon. I was promptly seated and service is average for order intake, plate removal, check-in and inquired for anything else. No happy hour is available. This wine bar is indeed "tiny" as the single unisex restroom is very microscopic. I never received my "customer copy" of the sales receipt upon payment as every customer who pay by credit or debit card is entitled. Ergo, four stars. Big disappointment as I keep records of all credit or debit card receipts on file. There is a fake fireplace in the rear on the main level of this business. Background music fends religious cult music and patrons chatter boisterously loud. I do not suggest Tiny's for couple date night as it is not conducive for conversation but a shouting match. I dined alone but it created a headache after I departed. Postcards and business cards are available for grabs. The post card image is a replica to the TV show "I Love Lucy" title card, possibly either copyright or trademark conflicts. Tiny's wine menu is extensive but not as extensive as I expected because they do not offer Chianti or Montepulciano d'Abruzzo wines. Brancaia Tre, Sangiovese Merlot (Tuscany, Italy) 2015, glass $17 Smooth, medium body and a good red. Tuscany is misspelt as "Tuscacny" written on their menu which Tiny's appears to have a tiny spelling and grammar check writing ability. Pan Seared Diver Scallops $34 Parsnip pure, shaved fennel, ruby red grapefruit, lemongrass and almond Gremolata The scallops are good portion size, fresh and well prepared with fennel and fresh grapefruit. I do not care for the Gremolata. Note: No cellular signal service on the main level in the rear of this establishment. I had to walk to the threshold of the entrance to attain signal service to Yelp check-in.

Tiny's Brunch

By M1227SOjeanm |

You walk into the space and its kind of dark, but that seems to be the theme lately. Once your eyes become adjusted, you notice that the space was created out of an old home, which gives Tiny's a great homey feeling. Food was very good, server was fun but just a little bit slow in taking our order, but other than that I'd go back. Would like to try the bar upstairs sometime.

A tiny jewel in NYC

By Dale M |

We were killing time before our reservation in Little Italy so we were aimlessly wandering downtown. As the rain started to pour, we just so happened to be passing this quaint little place. We poked our heads in the door and asked if we could come in for just a drink. The young lady who greeted us was more than happy to guide us up stairs to the bar. The name isn't misleading, this restaurant-bar is very much on the tiny side. However, what it doesn't have in size makes up for in charm, ambience, service and fantastic decor. We were served by the bartender, Cristian, who was a cool bloke and provided a decent amount of drinks recommendations. We ordered a couple of Tinys Old Fashioned, Hot Toddies and Woodford Reserves. The drinks were complimentary of the bar; terrific. I genuinely can't wait to come back here when I'm next in the city as I'd love to have dinner and another couple of drinks at the bar. Two giant thumbs up!

Great little bar..

By Feezeeweezee |

This was recommended by a friend from Austin Texas. The place really is Tiny but the cocktails and atmosphere are great.

Great for breakfast

By Brent B |

Really enjoyed this place for breakfast today. Very hip but not too cool for its own good. We had the eggs Benedict and something similar that had quinoa and roasted potatoes instead of bread. Grains and something. The name escapes me. Both were delicious. I had a side of savory grits which were probably the best I've had. Highly recommended.

Perfect rain hideout!

By Hollie C |

We were checking out Tribeca and got caught in the rain and ran into the nearest place... Tiny's! The staff were so welcoming, and super friendly! Had a great chat with them, especially the guy on the front desk (sorry didn't get your name!) and the wonderful woman from Switzerland who worked there... Voltaire is her last name I think! Beer was great. Interior was super cosy and lovely. We even got 2 beers knocked off the bill! Would recommend! Didn't try food but it looked brill!

L_O_V_E this spot!

By frequent_fam_travel |

This is the cutest spot in TriBeCa and maybe NYC - loved it. Great smiley waiter who was so friendly. Did not rush us at all and since half of our party was late when they needed our awesome table (thank you btw), they were so polite and asked us if they could buy us all a drink at the bar. Who does that in NYC! The food was good but the atmosphere is a home run! So funnnnn!! Thanks Tinys!

Perfect brunch

By Lee W |

The best brunch experience. New York through and through - the food is delicious and service very personal. Highly recommend it.

Tiny, cool and friendly

By Adventurer773287 |

We figured we'd have to pay a visit to this place, being part-owned by Henke Lundqvist, former goalkeeper for the Rangers and before that, Frölunda Indians in his native Sweden ( yes, we're Swedes as well...). We literally missed it and walked right past it the first time, the place earning up to it's name indeed. We were only interested in something to drink, so we were directed upstairs to the bar. One of the owners ( I believe ) was behing the bar, juggling the drinks and making a great show of it. When eventually leaving, we concluded that it was a tiny place indeed, but with a cool and friendly atmosphere, mixed score on the drinks ( but no showstopper ) and we'd love to come back to try the food.

Quirky tiny restaurant and bar

By Carol_AP |

We stumbled on this place whilst strolling around the area. We ate a late lunch - choosing the beef burgers which were delicious. A great range of beers were available too. Only downside was the staff talked loudly throughout our meal and the lady owner/manager took a phone call right in front of our table for a long loud conversation. Perhaps this could be taken into consideration in the future, the staff conversations on this particular visit, spoiled what was a very pleasant venue. Otherwise a good place to visit.

Give this a go!!

By Lia |

So glad I we decided to walk in.. Service was polite and fast and the food was lovely. The Bloody Mary was the best I have ever had! The price and portion size was just right. I would recommend this bar.

How trendy do you need to be?

By Debra H |

This was recommended to us as 'the place to go'. Sorry, but we weren't impressed. The food was fine, but not brilliant, nor very inventive. The place is dark and poky and the chairs are wobbly. Service was good and efficient.

There's Sunshine @ Tiny's for Breakfast

By FloodyFlood |

My wife and I enjoyed a fine breakfast of Buttermilk Pancakes, Eggs, the best Latte Espresso Coffee! This was a cool cafe, with a New Orleans feel to it - old brick and repurposed iron grates & refurbished wood, very friendly staff, warm fireplace for a freezing morning, but the warmest part of our experience was Sunshine our waitress, her smile and pleasant demeanor started us onto a great day in NYC!

Good place, went because of Lundqvist

By OwlAdvisor100 |

Went because I am a Rangers fan. The food was good. Was more crowded when I went but a decent atmosphere. Prices are what you'd expect in NY.

Best meal I've ever had, honestly!

By MaraPMaryland |

3 of us stopped here for a drink Friday afternoon, after a stressful meeting. We were able to decompress, and enjoy our drinks, for quite a while, and then 2 of us decided to come back in for dinner. The service, at the bar and in the dining room, was impeccable. We were seated at a cozy table near the fireplace, and starting with the Burrata, we knew we had made the right decision to eat here. HEAVENLY good! The pork chop dish was unbelievably delicious, as was the steak which my daughter ordered. Truly, the atmosphere, the service and the food all added up to way beyond what we could have anticipated, and it was all superb! We have already recommended Tiny's to friends and family, and WILL BE BACK!!

Charming little place

By Lisa K |

I loved the look of this little place that we stopped at for breakfast/brunch. There were a lot of positive things about this place. The basil lemonade was really good. I tried the Hangover Rancheros of one of the people I was dining with and that was really tasty. Two of had the house omelet with the 18 month aged gouda so I expected some nice flavor, but the omelet was quite bland. The baby greens were on the side and dressed with a vinaigrette that was quite salty, however that did help the omelet flavor if you ate them together. I also borrowed a little salsa verde from the Rancheros plate and that really helped out the the omelet flavor. The biscuits were quite large and good but a little on the dry side. The delicious butter and jam helped that out. The portion sizes were nice. Also a little odd was the seating as there were plenty of spaces available and some had reservations that we never saw arrive, but the hostess made it seem like it was a bit hard to seat us without a reservation. The server was very good though and she took care of the table well. I would try this place again because it was very charming, but I would choose my food differently and hope for more flavor.

Loved it

By Nessie174 |

We had breakfast here and can highly recommend the pancakes and the coffee was fantastic - the best we have had so far. It's a great location to sit and watch the world go by. We loved it.

Adorable and great food

By Perfumejunkie |

Ate lunch here today with a friend, had the Superfood Pancake and it was DELICIOUS. And since it was so healthy, I split the vanilla flan with strawberries for dessert. :) Service was decent, took away a star because we had to wait and ask twice for salt and pepper, but the ambiance is adorable and the food was good. Definitely want to go back for dinner and drinks.

Lovely lunch

By Ruth C |

What a lovely place, tiny dark and a good atmosphere. The kale salad is fabulous. I added chicken which made it a bit large for me for a lunch but so tasty. The wine was a little pricey $18 per glass but was a good wine. Would definitely go again

Cozy place and great food for an affordable price

Tinys is a really cute and cozy place, perfect for a date or a girls night out. The foods is great and affordable (not cheap, affordable!). I highly recommend this place.

Cold Day, Warm Lunch

By Midlifetrippin |

We dropped in on a recommendation from the bellman at our hotel. It was a very cold and snowy February day and the small room in the rear with a fireplace glowing was an immediate winner. Menus were delivered and we were allowed plenty of time to review, as opposed to the often NY rush. We chose a Burrata Appetizer and then both opted for a different soup as a main dish. Wine list was succinct and had a reasonable choice, so we also grabbed a glass of wine. Food was delivered in reasonable time and all was very good, and large portions. Service was pleasant and timely. We really enjoyed ourselves at Tiny's and could not have been more thankful for the warm fire throughout the meal.

A great little cafe with some awesome breakfast dishes!

By Jaypea_5 |

This 'tiny' cafe is big on personality - and superb on great food! We discovered this little gem while we were wandering through TriBeCa the other morning on our way uptown. We were desperate for a good cup of coffee; the decor of the cafe caught our eye - and once we perused their menu, it was a given to try breakfast, too. We have breakfasted at many cafes over the years, in many countries - and without a doubt, this was a highlight! Fluffy scrambled eggs that almost melted in your mouth, homemade meat patties, crisp light waffles - and fabulous lattes....a perfect start to the day. Enjoyed perusing the menu - they have a great list of interesting and unique dishes offered throughout the day! Staff were very cool, very patient - and very entertaining.

DON”T TAKE A CHANCE ON HAVING A BAD EXPERIENCE!!!

By Cheryl P |

So here it is, Christmas Day, and we are so upset that I am spending precious holiday time, writing this review. It was that bad of an experience. We will never eat at this restaurant again. We did a lot of research, and chose Tiny’s for our Christmas Day dinner. Our big mistake was expecting a good experience from them on a holiday. We came in early for our Christmas dinner, and was told by the hostess that we had to wait in the upstairs bar...which had no room for anyone at all, since all the seats were taken by people who weren't even drinking, just waiting for tables they had booked that weren't ready. But she sent us up there anyway, in spite of the fact that there were two empty seats right by the entrance door that we could have had a cocktail at. Not sure if she was even aware of what was going on in her restaurant.... (isn’t that her job???). So, after realizing that there was no space to have a cocktail upstairs, we went downstairs to see if we could sit at the empty seats by the door, and the hostess refused to let us sit there. She was about to let some people, who had come in after us sit there. After we confronted her about the fact that we had come in before them, and should be allowed to sit there, she said “I don't know what to do about this stuff” (isn't that her job??? to work with people??? and be in charge of making sure people are fairly taken care of???). Then, the other people who wanted to sit there harassed us, so we decided to leave. So we went to the Odeon, a neighbor restaurant, for a cocktail, to wait for our table. Before we left, we had to repeatedly ask the hostess if she even had our phone number, to let us know when our table was ready (also, isn't that her job??? too much work for her as well, to make sure we were taken care of). Already starting out as a bad experience, but we knew if we cancelled the reservation at that point, and went somewhere else (which we wanted to do because it was already a bad start to our evening), we would have been charged for the night anyway, so it was take abuse, and hope for the best. We get seated, and then things just went from bad to worse. The food was average, and the entree we chose: the filet (or so they claimed, said it was filet, not sure because the quality of the meat was not great) was tough, cut into multiple pieces like a tip steak, and overcooked, almost inedible. At this point, we were told that one of our prix fixe meals would be comped, for the trouble we had gone through. Even after all these bad moments, things got worse instead of better: we then moved on to really inattentive service, to the point that we had to ask the hostess (after waiting 15 minutes for the anyone to even notice our attempts to get service), if someone could take our dinner plates away, so we could move on to dessert. The only high point of the evening was talking to our neighboring diners, lovely people, who had already warned us that the dessert was a waste of time. After that, it still took forever to even get the mediocre dessert; at which point we were told that both meals would be comped, and we would only have to pay for the wine we ordered. Absolute proof on their part that we had an awful experience; this was not just an idea of us being difficult. But, truth be told, we would have been happy to pay twice the price, to have enjoyed the evening, instead of being so upset at how everything went. Not worth it to go out to eat when the whole event, service and food, is all so bad. We dine out a lot, total foodies, and we understand that things can be problematic at time: I waitressed for 12 years, so I get the business. But this was just bad food, bad service, and no one cared, just “comp the meal to buy them” idea. No one tried to talk with us about what we had gone through, except to say that they were understaffed.... Yet other people around us were being taken care of just fine. As we were leaving, we asked to talk to the manager, but of course that was a lot of trouble too, so we just gave up. We have gone to this restaurant for years, but will never be back after this. Ho, ho, ho.... So here it is, Christmas Day, and we are so upset that I am spending precious holiday time, writing this review. It was that bad of an experience.

Differentiated location

By Cristina M |

On visit to Tribeca we stopped at Tiny ́s to rest a little and drink something. The facade and the friendly terrace quickly caught our attention and it was love at first sight. The staff is very kind and the food is delicious. Yes, we ended up extending the stay and tasting the popcorn shrimps. So, but so good to accompany with your spicy mayonnaise! Its interior is no less surprising. The decor is so special and welcoming, which makes Tiny’s a distinctive place.

Fun neighborhood place if a bit lame

By Landmarkfinder A |

Made 10:15 reservations on a Thursday night for dinner here after the theater. When we arrived we were told the kitchen was closed at 10 but we could order a few things off the bar menu until 10:30. After our server finally showed up four of us enjoyed a salad, some delicious meat balls, a burger and a burata dish. Bar is limited but enjoyable. We stopped by for breakfast the next morning and regretted we could not stay as it looked like they were a bit more together.

Post Wedding Party

By Lisa v |

We recently were in the city for a wedding at the county clerks office. We had reservations for a lunch later in the day, but the ceremony was much quicker than we had anticipated. We checked the area on line to see where we could go to start the celebration. Tiny's was the perfect solution. There were 15 of us and while we were concerned about bringing 15 people to a place called "Tiny's", but they were very gracious and put together a lovely group of tables by the window at "the bar upstairs" We had mimosas and some appetizers while waiting for the couple who had more paperwork before joining us. We were able to stay for a couple of hours before going for a walk through Union Square Park and taking pictures. It was the perfect location and the start to a great celebration.

Best Kale Salad Ever

By Joanna |

My daughter and I stumbled upon this lovely little restaurant/bar on our recent trip to NYC. Needing mid-afternoon nibbles and a drink, we shared a kale salad and the meatballs. Both super delicious - the best kale salad I've ever had. Attentive service and a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend it.

Luckily found this near our hotel

By Janet B |

Wonderful lunch with creative, fresh ingredients. By the time we left after a week day lunch the place was crowded. It is cozy and it is tiny. Worthy of a lunch visit but try to arrive before noon.

Cute neighbourhood eatery

By alan james g |

Small and intimate with real fire. Friendly and good local clientale. Food was fresh imagantive yet not fussy. Reasonable wine selection and the bar on upper floor was busy with a good vibe yet when busy expect to wait.

tiny but good food

By janie g |

We went in for breakfast but had to settle for lunch as it was 11:20 and breakfast ends at 11. The menu was small but we each did find something. I had the beet and goat cheese salad which was sweet and just enough. My husband has the cheese and chive omelette and it was served with a summer mix which wad potato, corn, and zucchini. different and tasty. our daughter had the veggie pancake which was too heavy and tasted doughy. Had to wait for a second cup of coffee like it was not made already. Very strange.

Dinner was out of this world!

By emiliepe103 |

I've had the best experience at this restaurant, I had 4 people who recommended me this plate. The women who was taking care of our table was amazing. We had a reservation at 9:00 pm on a saturday and our table was ready when we arrived! We took different plates to try everything! The burrata is amazing. The meat balls, mussels and steak with oignons/creme fraîche are all amazing plates to share! The duck pasta was really flavorful, but be aware that is a spicy plate! Big thanks to the two waitress we had during this evening.

Great spot

By Carr B |

I loved the atmosphere with small divided rooms. Certainly and intimate place but also worked for my business dinner. Quick friendly service and very solid food.

Not so Tiny! Deserves to be well-known but confidentialy

By pirireis81 |

As a breakfast experience at the crossroad between TriBeCa and Soho, Tiny is great. The place is provided with taste through countryside furniture and old-fashioned wallpaper. Granola yugurt are tasty with lemon pie at the bottom. Expresso are great. Everything is great even the bill but chilly time has a cost!

Amazing brunch

By Helena E |

First went due to being a NYR fan and also visiting from Sweden....Amazing brunch ...cosy plale and lovely friendly staff...Will definitely come back

Small Quaint and Decent Food

By shangoodjack |

Tinys is a really cute and quaint restaurant. The food is decent but the atmosphere is very eclectic and hip. The old rustic wood and windows added to the ambience which i truly enjoyed. I would highly recommend it for a date spot. I went with work folks and sat by the fireplace in the back. It was cozy and quaint and the service was good. The menu is not exhaustive, I had the meatballs (good), arugula salad and then the scallops. All were tasty but the best part of my experience was the period pieces in the room. The Travertine covered table, the rustic feel, the windows that are clearly from the 1800s, it was lovely. I would recommend this place for period and history buffs.

Horrible breakfast

By beth265 |

3 orders of over easy eggs were fried hard; bacon was raw; service was slow. Do not go for breakfast.

Unique NYC Experience

By Joski69 |

Had an 8 pm dinner here with a party of 6. Short wait for the table so we went upstairs for a drink. The bartender up there was great although he could have used help. Drinks were all fresh and spot on. Promptly seated at a table upstairs. Service started great with drinks and appetizers. All of the samplings were enjoyed by the table and anytime a glass was near empty, he appear to offer a refill. Something had to have gone wrong with our order because it was a full hour after appetizers before our entrees arrived. By time we ate and had dessert, we were nearly the last people in the office. It's a cool place with good food and cocktails so I did not ding them more, but that service snafu almost cost them another star. I would try it again.

Tiny place but big portions and great value!

By Corentin C |

First of all, it's not that very tiny. It's a cute little place, with two rooms. Downstairs is more dark, but you have a nice fire. Upstairs is more light but there's no fire. The staff is super friendly, food is subtle, fresh and really good. Portions are big enough to take away for your next meal. Despite being in a trendy area and serving good quality food, they are reasonably priced. I'll go again when in NYC for sure!

A little gem in Tribeca

By susiniaf |

We discovered Tiny's by chance: it is a little gem! Food is excellent: try the "grit, bacon and egg over easy" or the "superfood pancake" made of kale! Both delicious, tasteful and delicate! The "gruyere omelette" and the "roots and grains" seem delicious too! Located in a old townhouse, you can chose to sit on a small terrace outside or inside. The second floor is very cozy with copper-top tables and as shabby chic atmosphere. If you are in the area, try it!

Amazing brunch in Tribeca

By Adrienne C |

I had heard about Tiny’s through a few of my classmates, and decided to find out whether or not the place is deserving of its hype. I wasn’t disappointed! The Eggs Benedict was probably one of the best renditions I’ve had at brunch, and the tater tots were out of this world! The outdoor seating is very pleasant, and the indoor dining area is full of charm as well. I’m definitely looking forward to coming back for more brunches!

What a find!

By fdb21 |

Found Tiny's by chance but what a great place. Delicious, wholesome food, that is the new kind of 'healthy' with kale mentioned more than once on the menu. Fun place for a solo visit or, I would imagine with friends due to to good looking cocktail menu and very friendly staff. Would definitely come back.

Go somewhere else.

By annarchynyc |

Had a very special occasion and chose this place as it had been on my bucket list for awhile. Amazingly, by a roaring fire in the back of the restaurant, our table, not 5ft from the fire, had an arctic draft coming from behind the booth (it was about 15 degrees outside). When having mentioned it to the server, it was clearly a known problem that had obviously neither been addressed nor rectified rectified. The hostess, who sounded like she was from the Caribbean, told us (robotically) there were really no other tables and told us, verrrrrry insincerely, that she was sorry. The company at my table and I were aghast. It seemed as if we were ultimately, thereafter, avoided. Main courses arrive and my first bite included a piece of metal! I then asked for the same entree (one of the specials) as another party at my table, and was brought a half-portion (??!!). The squid cavatelli, people, was way too salty. All of this we tried to take in stride but now it was too much. By the time, Tara, the alleged manager, swung by the table, it was too late. People, when there's a problem, tell your waitstaff to call upon mgmt, IMMEDIATELY. The attempt to take things off the bill (we got a few drinks on the house) was noted BUT I'd (we'd) rather have paid a $500 bill for a GREAT experience than less for a mediocre one. The place itself is/was beautiful. Oh and I tweeted this to Henk Lundqvist but got no response/reaction. Having said everything I have, I (we) probably would never go back.

Good food. Cute little place.

By lovablel73 |

Cute little place old place with fun vibe and good food. Sidewalk seating or inside tables. Eggs Benedict was delicious and scones were exceptional. Smoky bacon.

great food, great atmosphere

By MRV_VT |

Had dinner at Tiny's at the Bar Upstairs, and really liked it. It is a small, cozy place with great food and a wonderful ambience in what used to be a house. Highly recommend it when you visit lower Manhattan.

Shabby chic, friendly and delicious

By Ruth P |

This place is great. We went for brunch. I had shrimp and grits which was tasty and delicious tater tots. My partner had scrambled egg and avocado sandwich. Friendly service and quaint surroundings. Would go back as there were many other things I wanted from the menu.

Interesting place but not for me

By bruce t |

Cute little place, some interesting items on menu. Food was good, limited menu though. Good nightspot for drinks and some food. I only had the meatball appetizer as I was hoping for a burger but it was not available on the dinner menu. Worth a visit again. Not cheap but I guess that's Tribeca.

Cold night? cozy wood-burning fireplace in the back

By Barbara B |

We arrived for lunch today, the place is indeed TINY! Had avocado & salmon toast, a lobster taco special and their homemade tater tots with chives. Food very good, surprisingly good actually for the rickety rustic atmosphere, but go for the good. Good french pinot noir by the glass too

Brunch!

By Melissa M |

Recently ate here for brunch and the food, drink, and service lived up to the hype. We were a party of two, made a reservation in advance for Sunday brunch, and were seated promptly at a cute table upstairs. I ordered the eggs benedict with prosciutto and a side of tater tots along with a Bloody Mary. Food was absolutely delicious and the Bloody Mary was strong and uniquely spicy--- I loved it! Food came out quickly and service was efficient and friendly but we never felt rushed. We were able to enjoy a leisurely meal never feeling pressured to turn the table. Great experience all around!

Best food for the money in the neighborhood

By EP1165 |

I live a couple of blocks from Tiny's and have been to every restaurant in a five block radius in the last ten years. That includes Nobu and other very high quality restaurants, which are amazing dining experiences that I recommend, but also very expensive. For the money, Tiny's is hands down the best food in TriBeCa. It is not "cheap" and dinner is still going to run you $35-$45 per person (lunch maybe $25-$35), but the quality of the food is spot on. It's also very cute inside, occupying two stories of a legit ten foot wide 19th century lower Manhattan storefront. The kale salad is really good; not to be missed. I recently had the eggs benedict for lunch with homemade tater tots and it's also really good. The cramped space means you're in danger of rubbing elbows with the people at the next table over, and it probably isn't great for young kids (and don't even think of getting a stroller in there). But everyone is there to eat good food and enjoy a moment of peace, so in this case cozy works.

Very cozy!

By Anne S |

We loved eating at Tiny's on a cold winter night. Good food - not cheap but a very fun evening! We loved it! Great kale salad!

Absolutely the best salad ever

By jewelly100 |

Delightful little restaurant. Friendly staff. Excellent service and a really lovely place for lunch. Plenty of gluten free options and a delightful healthy menu

Cozy bar/restaurant

By slsnyc |

The name kind of says it all. Tiny's is set on multiple levels of a small old townhouse. The atmosphere is dim and cozy, with a real fireplace in the back on the bottom floor. There's not much room to move, but once you settle in you won't want to. The drink menu is well rounded. The dinner menu is sparse and tries a little too hard, but my beet salad was delicious. I would recommend it for drinks and a snack.

A delightful find, a New York niche

By Doc L |

This is a tiny place (perhaps the reason for the name, perhaps not) squeezed in between two other places. Very New York. The food was excellent, the service prompt and friendly, and the prices reasonable.

Tiny’s Fits All

By Philip G |

We had a wonderful family reunion brunch at Tiny’s. Cousins, I had not seen for decades, came into the city for our visit. I needed to find something simple, with an easy menu, nothing too precious. I’m the most pretentious individual in our extended family, and I am well aware of my dilettante tendency. Tiny’s was/is perfect for everyone, short or tall. I began at the bar upstairs, served by Carlos, who started my day out right, making me his version of a Harvey Wallbanger. Carlos was very welcoming and aided in relieving my nerves. Brunch was served downstairs, Diana was very charming, helping to find a table that would fit our needs. She was well organized, efficient, and fun. Jenna was our friendly and warm server, and gave us great advice. Matzoh Ball soup and the Chicken and Waffles were our favorites, but the hamburgers were wonderful too. It was a perfect meal and a wonderful reunion. Tiny’s helped us renew a family connection after decades of absence. I will always be indebted to Tiny’s and the Bar Upstairs and Carlos, Diana, and Jenna. Thank you.

Great Neighborhood Place

By JandJMiller |

Stumbled upon this super cute place for drinks. Went upstairs and we were the only 4 there. Before we left, we knew everyone that came for drinks too. Spencer the bartender was friendly and made great drinks. Next time, we will stay for a meal !!

CHRISTMAS DINNER COSY

By Louise C |

Lovely restaurant and yes it is tiny - my son and I had a table at the back which was very cosy with a fire - it was a set menu for christmas evening and a good choice of food at a very good price for NY. The only criticsm was that my son decided to have the wine pairing and unfortunately the wines given were not very good but apart from that the food was very good and the service acceptable. Would be nice to return to try the normal menu.

Small but perfectly formed!

By Nylon57 |

Visited this beautiful restaurant on this year's jaunt across the pond. From its quirky decor, it's soulful play list right through to the fantastic food, we loved it! So much so we're going back before we head for home. It's not cheap but it's very worth it.

Very Tasty Breakfast

By 589MichaelP |

We were fortunate enough to get a table outside in good weather. Shared a number of very tasty dishes all very well done. Impressed with the food accompanied by good service. Interesting building. Would happily recommend. Not the cheapest but worth it.

Quaint place, excellent food, fair prices

By Ruth B |

I was charged with finding a place for a 'Team Dinner' for work. Our budget didn't allow for one of the really pricey places in New York, but the boys wanted steak. A colleague recommended Tiny's and it turned out to be a fantastic pick. We had the Kale salad and it was large enough to feed the whole table. At first, the guys turned their noses up, but as they tried it, they asked for more. We polished it off. They got the steak, and were able to sub the new potatoes for Tots. The portions were a fine size and plates were cleaned. What I liked was that entrees came with sides, although additional sides could be purchased. I got the Chicken and MAN was that tasty. The chicken was perfectly roasted, with crunchy, salty skin. The pureed potatoes and corn were sprinkled with more tender juicy chicken. Then I had the flan for dessert. I lived in Miami, and I have dear friends who are Cuban, but let me tell you, that was the BEST flan ever. The guys got the donuts and were underwhelmed. Everyone enjoyed their cocktails. This would make an adorable date night, or a family celebrate location. One thing to be aware of, the room in the back is a cell phone dead zone. This could be a good or bad thing, depending.

Great salad

Stopped by for late lunch/early dinner with two friends. Had the kale salad with gouda and it was awesome. Server was super friendly and helpful.

Tribeca Hole-in-the-Wall

By Blakeley’s Bites |

What a wonderful find amidst the bustle of Tribeca. If you love an old, three brothers, NYC story Tiny's is the place for you. Great ambiance with a working fireplace in the back of the first floor and the stack of wood near the hostess stand. Service is attentive but not cloying and they make the most of their limited footprint. The house omelet with aged gouda was light and fluffy. Great chicken sandwich and the meatball was an absolute gem. The cheddar and herb "tots" should not be missed as you will never see tots like this again. Will definitely need to go back and try other menu items.

Nice place

By Jose J |

The service is great. Gerardo spectacular server. We ordered the burguers $27 plus tax each. Really good. The eggs and pancakes too.

Delicious food for your palate

By Charlie |

Tiny's was a surprise to me when reveling the delicious food they have with their colourful menu. I went there for Valentine's weekend on a Saturday lunch and I had the Super Food Pancake, which is a superb serving of vegetable and pancakes in a soft and delicate mix. I also suggest to order the Novara Risotto which is a truly Italian dish along with the Ornellaia Sangiovese. Being Italian I have to admit it's the perfect combination of risotto and wine together outside Italy. Their prices are justified by their outstanding food quality and service, plus their location is as central as you can get in New York.

Good superfood breakfast pancake

By Caro_Vega |

Tiny's has a lot of charm and was right around the corner from us during our stay in TriBeCa, so we popped in for breakfast one morning. I had the above and my partner had the eggs benedict. He said it was nice, although it hadn't looked particularly appetising. I also had a kale smoothie, which is not for the faint hearted as it didn't seem to contain any 'masking' ingredients like pear or apple. The menu is varied enough to have healthy options or the usual stodge if that's what you're in the mood for. It was good, but I wouldn't necessarily hurry back.

A good breakfast secret

By rnarisetti |

Right off Chambers street in Tribeca, this small and cozy place offers wonderfully fresh breakfasts off a small menu with a bit of sidewalk seating. It is a relatively quiet lovely place for a conversational breakfast though inside seating is very limited as well. On a recent weekday, that they were out of French press coffee was a poor start but the rest of the breakfast/service made it up. Check it out if you like small, unpretentious breakfast in that neighborhood.

A really great brunch

By SarasotaBill |

We came to Tiny’s for a late brunch on a Sunday afternoon. We were really pleased with our food and the overall experience. There are several tables outside, but unfortunately they were occupied and we couldn’t sit outside on this beautiful day. We stayed downstairs and were seated at a table in the back. It’s a cozy restaurant and though there aren’t any windows we didn’t feel closed in. The decor goes well with the rustic brick walls. Our meal started with a plate of 2 scones. They were just great, with the blueberry inside. They were light, flavorful and baked just right. The jelly that accompany them is fruity and not too sweet. For the main meal we chose the egg sandwich, burger, and buttermilk pancakes. The sandwich is a wonderfully satisfying combo of great toasted bread, avocado and scrambled egg. The 3 pancakes were delicious. For me, I was impressed how light they were. I didn’t feel stuffed after finishing them. And they’re served with real maple syrup! The burger meat was aged. It was ordered to be cooked ‘medium ‘- I suggest medium-rare. The service was excellent. The latte coffee was very good according to my wife. I was a bit disappointed with the Americano. A restaurant like this ought to focus more on their coffee. Overall, a completely satisfying meal!

Great Brunch a Happy Find!

By Hillary C |

Great small neighborhood place. We were just looking around and we were hungry and this was the place that we landed. We enjoyed good Bloody Mary’s and homemade donut holes with a terrific jam for dipping. Great burger and egg sandwich with avocado on truly awesome bread! The tater tots were clearly their own creation and delicious. The service was very good the kitchen was a little slow. But all in all a very enjoyable meal in the land of brunch!

Spot on brunch food

By meiki w |

Very cute brunch spot! I love that they take reservations as well. We were seated right away after checking in with the hostess. There was even a real fireplace, perfect cozy atmosphere. We came here for a friends birthday and here's what we got. We ordered the kale salad and the burrata to share. For entrees, me and one friend got the New York Benedict, while my other two friends got the superfood pancake and the hangover rancheros. Let's start with the appetizers. The kale salad I must say was the best kale salad I've ever had. There was a lot of ingredients in there, apples, celery, carrots, parm, etc but it all taste so good together. Huge portion too, perfect for sharing. The highlight of the brunch (which my friends also agreed) was the burrata. If you're a cheese lover, please don't skip out on this. For entrees, I really enjoyed my Benedict. It was with smoked salmon and the sauce they paired it with really brings out all the mouth watering flavors. The poached eggs was still runny and perfect. Next time if I were to come back though, I want to get the superfood pancake which my friend got. I took a bite of her dish and it was amazing. Taste healthy but yet so much flavor in every bite. Might not be a pretty instagramable dish but you're not gonna regret eating it. For dessert/cake, we got the donuts and they waitress put a candle on it for my friends birthday which was very nice. But the donuts I must say are terrible! Don't know whether it came from a box or just a few days old, it does not taste fresh and not really worth $9 at all. Overall food was amazing here, my girls all loved it. But service here is quite slow, have to ask for everything. Literally everything. They would bring out coffee pot but no cups. They would bring out the desert but no plates or utensils. Ask for a lid, never came back. Service can definitely be improved here.

Super cozy on a rainy day

By travelingteacher28 |

My mom and i loved this place. It was cold and wet outside, so stepping into Tiny's was a treat. we didn't have a reservation but it was ok since it was later in the day. They had a limited menu but we had no problem finding something to eat. we sat next to the fire, and had a wonderful meal with wine. We shared a couple of salads that were quite big and perfect for two. Service was attentive and friendly. I would love to go back again and again.

Always a favourite before covid, I couldn’t wait to go to Tiny’s again when I was in New York this time. It didn’t disappoint. Great service, awesome food and really nice cocktails. Highly recommend the meatballs and the tater tots! Really great to know this place is still going strong.

Lovely building, shocking prices!

By LittleMissBounce |

We were drawn in by the look of this lovely little place. Two glasses of wine cost $40, we couldn't believe the price so was put off eating here. The waiter was not friendly either, suprising when we hear the servers are reliant on tips.

Tiny & Tasty in Tribeca

By Keith C |

Tiny's is one of our favorite brunch and any time "go to" spots in Tribeca. The food never disappoints and service is always very good. Upstairs for drinks during happy hour is a must do too.

Great neighborhood spot

By Genevieve L |

Tiny's is a fantastic neighborhood spot in Tribeca. The food is consistently good - love the kale salad, green chile with turkey, gruyeye omelettes and a great wine list to boot. It's aptly named as it is tiny but if you go for a weekday lunch, you'll have plenty of space. Excellent cocktails also!

Cute & Cozy

By Brian P |

Warm & cozy restaurant. Food was superb. Service was ok. Entirely too dark and I have 20/20 vision. I get setting a mood/ambiance, but we couldn’t see what we were eating.

Good Experience

By ej54 |

Don't know what everyone is complaining about. The waitstaff (Dodger in our case), both front of the room hosts, and the bartender all were very friendly and competent. From some of these other reviews I thought we were in for mediocre, overpriced food with inattentive staff and lousy drinks and joked to my guests, before we arrived, that at least it would be cute and cozy. Prices have gone up at restaurants, across the board. I thought the menu offered a nice selection of dishes and the duck entree and the cavatelli were well received at our table. The oysters were great, though only one option. We went early and it was comfortable and relatively quiet. Enjoy yourself.

Sweet, little boite that packs a big punch

By Secondari_NYC |

In Tribeca, you can find on West Broadway above Chambers Street a cute little restaurant called "Tiny's & The Bar Upstairs". The name is accurate, it is tiny. During good weather the footprint is doubled with outside dining. The food is very good, salads, pastas, and proteins--a nicely curated "tiny" (there's that word again) menu. The feel is weathered cool. Upstairs, is where the cocktails flow. The mixologists are very knowledgable and the drinks go down very nicely (but watch your wallets!) Food is also served upstairs at some tables. The bar area has several perches, but often there is a bit of standing before you can get a seat. If you arrive for drinks before or after dinner rush you can sit at one of the tables upstairs. This is a small and intimate place, i dont recommend it for large groups unless you are going at an off hour, probably worth calling ahead if you are a group of more than 5.

Charming Food and Service!

By EBovary |

My husband had booked here because we were visiting Tribeca and wanted a cozy place to eat in the predicted cold weather. Well, it was a beautiful warm night, and our hostess was able to seat us out on the patio instead of indoors by the fire. We had a couple of servers, and they were both warm, informative, and chatty (I enjoy that). We got a kale salad to start that was really kind of sub par: just big ripped pieces of kale with some raw walnuts, cheese and apples - even I can do better than that. But the wine and cocktails were excellent, and we enjoyed our mains - I had a perfectly cooked shrimp dish over salty squid ink pasta, and my husband enjoyed his skirt steak. The best part of the evening for sure was sitting out front and watching the world go by.

Lousy dining experience

By Anna H |

We were with the family for dinner on Christmas Day. It was a three-course menu that cost $95 a serving. We chose fillet mignon with potato gratin. The potatoes were raw and when we talked about it we got an overcooked pasta with the meat instead. It was a really weird experience. No discount and no excuse. They put a tip on the bill. I don't recommend anyone to come here.

Brunch or dinner

By Geri Berman |

A most charming and unusual place for a cozy brunch or dinner and drinks upstairs. Fantastic cocktail menu, outrageous kale salad and divine steak and eggs.

Tiny but tasty

By Ben P |

With stellar ambiance, a chipper staff and, when weather permits, outdoor seating, Tiny's & the Bar Upstairs is always a crowd pleaser. I've brought co-worker and cosmopolitan internationals to the restaurant and the mix of foods and drinks is truly pleasing. In the winter, make a reservation and request to be seated downstairs near to the fireplace, it's a truly cozy NY experience.

Fun & funky place. Mixed performance on the food...

By burnsinny |

A fun place for dinner. Great neighbourhood. Cosy atmosphere. Perfect for 1-2 couples. Varied Menu. Good cocktail & beer selection. However, between the four of us there were a few 'mixed' reviews. Some god / some bad. My entree was cold...

Hip suppoundings - Wonderful Brunch!

By TorstenAnna |

Small but cosy in a very hip way! Loved the little details in all of their decor and the friendly staff. Quite pricy - but the "Pillow-talk"-cocktail was wonderful and so was the brunch! - and the burger.... I would have loved more personal space - and more space on the table - but it was a busy Sunday around noon......

We are from out of town and booked this dinner venue on a whim. Am I glad we did! The food was excellent, the service unparalleled in my experience. However; if you're not a fan of lots of pepper, you might opt for an entree other than the pepper crusted hanger steak. It was a bit too peppery for my taste. My friend enjoyed the braised short ribs very much; this was what I should've ordered, or gone with the sea bream. The starter I had was duck spring rolls and was delicious.

Cute little restaurant with veggies!

By KTandP |

So whenever we travel I always find myself craving a hit of veggies and we found them at Tiny’s! I had the superfood pancakes and they were chock full of beetroot, broccoli, zucchini and more. Absolutely delicious topped with 2 poached eggs. the email was big and I couldn’t finish it all unfortunately. My friends also had delicious looking meals - the chicken sandwich with avocado was huge. And the cold glass of rose topped it all off on a warm and humid NYC day... recommend this place if you’re in TriBeCa.

A tiny moment in time well spent

By Kim E |

We popped into this place for a quick drink and ended up staying for a couple of hours. Cozy, perfect little hide-a-way. The service from Dan was great. he was personable and provided great service. We didn't eat there...although by the reviews I am reading we should have. I will definitely come back to this little spot when I am back in town!

Cosy and easy

By Alexander G |

I went here with one of my best friends on my wedding day. Nervous and exited I needed a beer. Tiny's was on the way to the venue. Really cosy and a great location on one of the main streets in Tribeca. We got to chose where to sit and our waiter was great and relaxed. The beer was nice and cold. I left before my friend to get ready, he told me that when he was going to pay, the waiter after hearing about the wedding threw away the bill. Does that ever happen these days?! Thank you for a great gesture! I'm going back next time I'm in town.

So many other options in Tribeca

By noworry |

Two of us went and won't be going back. The hostess could not be less interested in showing us to our table and asked one of the servers to take us and he said no, awkward. The service wasn't horrible, it was nonexistent. Had to have repeated asks for anything we needed, never came to check on the meal. $150 plus tip (not big) for two appetizers, two drinks, two entrees, and one side. Food was okay, not special. Seems like some have had a great experience, but it wasn't ours.

Amazing

Went to a birthday party here. Food is great, service/staff are friendly and helpful and the overall experience was great. Highly recommended for dinner or a drink

Very good food, slow service

By Alexis B |

We found this little “tiny” spot as we were walking along, and found it charming. So, we decided to stop for a bite. It was Saturday and they were serving brunch. The menu is interesting and I went with the salmon avocado toast dish with one poached egg. My sister got the donuts. I definitely enjoyed the salmon avocado dish, and it was nicely presented. The donuts were a bit bland in my opinion. The service is good, but a bit slow. Our waiter was great and friendly. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant, but with so many great places in NY, it should be even better in all aspects.

Cool spot in Tribeca

Went to this fine establishment last weekend. A neat little bar to hit up when visiting NYC. It's a short train ride from Times Square and the vib is very unique.

Nice place

Good food, decent prices not overly priced and very friendly service great fireplace on 1st floor if you can snag a table there

Might be better for lunch?

By rachel d |

I'd read quite bit about this place before reserving for dinner… & from the other reviews, I'm sure this place is just way better for lunch. Menu LOOKS delicious… like you want to try everything! But, both my main course (chicken) and my husbands (fish) were not good. Side dish of tater tots were not yummy like I was expecting. My kale salad appetizer was better, and thankfully very filling. Place is super- cute. Great location and server was nice and attentive, but I will not return.

Great vibe, check it out...

By aj_flyer |

Based in TriBeCa, this is a very cool little bar and resto. Over 3 floors, great vibe, with some great cocktails.. Dinner, I had a wonderful duck paparadelli pasta.. Sides of carrots and sprouts. Dessert was an amazing interpretation of a Kit Kat.. if you love chocolate, this is a lovely way to end the meal... Service is great, people are friendly and helpful. Cool bunch of servers.. Really enjoyed my evening here...

Charming old decor and great American food

We chanced upon this beautiful restaurant by chance and were very pleased that we did. The food and service were great and the atmosphere, wooden floors, soft lighting and buzzy atmosphere added to the experience. A casual dining experience with class.

Outstanding Food and NY Atmosphere

By Ellen O |

What a treasure! We sat upstairs in a funky room with a bar overlooking the street. Service was very attentive in a casual way. We had apps, entrees and desserts and everything was delicious and different. Which I loved. Went on a Thursday night and the place was packed so reservations are a must.

Don't waste your $$$

By TravellinTash |

Group of 5 stopped in for a drink upstairs one afternoon. Wasn't many in the bar so we took a seat and a drinks menu. 5 mins later no sign of bar man coming over so I went up to the bar and ordered 5 cocktails. Wasn't told to sit back down, he'd bring them over so I stood there while he made them, paid him and took them over to the table myself. About 5 mins later he came over asking was there a problem with the drinks and if there was he would make us other ones. We said no they were fine. He looked confused and preceded to tell us it was customary to tip in NYC and being tourists we might not be aware of this custom. I quickly responded that we were aware of the custom and we were going to have a few more drinks and tip when we left but wouldn't be now. There was no service, I served the group. If I owned that bar he would have been drop kicked out the window for speaking to customers like that. I would never NOT leave a tip no matter how bad the service so this was a 1st for us. Apart from the cheeky bartender the drinks were ok and the setting was lovely.

bar atmosphere with cross over dining experience

By HenryNYC |

Very cozy and intimate place but packed with people, if that makes any sense at all. The ambiance is crowded, somewhat noisy, but not too loud that you cannot carry on a conversation. It is probably advisable to check with wait staff regarding on menu items as, pending on what you order, the service can be slow. You will likely more than occupied by all the people around you. Foods are good, just a bit pricy. It is a cross over between bar and a restaurant.

Love this little gem!

By CandleQueen |

This little bar/restaurant is so unique, and so cool! I have gone the last two times I visited NYC, and will for sure make it a stop next time. You just don't see places like this every day. The interior is almost a Magnolia Pearl/Shabby Chic decor. I actually don't even remember what the food tasted like because i was so fascinated by the decorating :)

Good place for a family lunch

By ilkkats |

Five of us including the kids enjoyed a delicious lunch. Kale salad was big and tasty. Chicken sausage OK. Burger good. Goat cheese omelette great and the egg sandwich very good. Service is friendly and the place feels cozy upstairs. We'll be back.

Great Food With A Unique Vibe!

By kkeegan35 |

Tiny's was a little spot, but a great surprise! We ended up here after trying to make a reservation somewhere else that couldn't fit us and then recommended us to Tiny's. We were so happy we ended up here! Not only was the atmosphere cool and intimate in the back room for our party of 5, but the food was amazing and the service was friendly! We went for brunch, so anyone going should definitely try the salmon eggs benedict!

So expensive bad service

By olivia7777 |

We called in for a drink waited for ages for service and we're just about to leave the waiter appeared we had 2 very small glasses of unremarkable cocktails lasting 5 minutes $33 ..... Go elsewhere

Great, Unusual Food

By NewAdventurer2 |

Make sure you have reservation, as this place is quite popular for breakfast. Justifiably so...The food was tasty and unusual. My superfood pancake was superb. Service was prompt and friendly. We'll be back!

Very good (and quite Tiny!)

By Northern_Traveler00 |

Had dinner here with friends on Christmas Eve. Only issue we had was upon arrival, they wanted to put us at a table right near the front door (COLD night!) and also next to a table with small children. We asked for one of many empty tables upstairs and that took a few minutes to arrange, for some reason. But upstairs we went and we were all delighted with our dinners. 3 of us actually got the hamburger and all were pleased. The other had the beet salad and meatball app as a meal, and those were great as well. Service was attentive and the prices are quite reasonable for NYC

Cosy Dinner

An absolutely lovely little restaurant with good food and nice staff. The interior is super cosy and intimate - the perfect break during a long day in a hectic city!

Small Place, Big Flavour

By Hikergourmet |

We did not go to the bar upstairs but downstairs is very small. That said the kitchen does big work. We started with oysters from Canada which were fresh and combined with tasty garnishes. The meatballs were sensational. Our mains included salmon and branzino which were both cooked perfectly and combined with a delicious array of inventive sides. The duck breast came with a superb plum sauce. The cocktails were done right too.

Great

By Vital Hevia |

Short but good quality menu. Very kind attention in a pretty zone in Manhattan. I would recommend it to anybody and we would maybe repeat.

Great dinner marred by indifferent service

By Nigel R |

We could have picked half a dozen things from a great menu. Wine was rather overpriced but good choice of beers. A simple one course meal though took an hour and a half though due to ineffectual and indifferent service.

Everybody loved everything

By Tor K |

Really nice service and very good food. A nice variety and wide alternatives in the menu we as a group had to choose from. A very relaxed environment in the rustic restaurant offered really pleasant conditions for our dinner party. Maybe however the music was a little too loud...

Best Bloody Mary of all

By Dellaph_Kite |

Discovered this tiny diamond by chance and it was the only venue in New York to which we returned. Our regular new year's eve party group has experienced many cocktails of greatly varied quality and this is up there with the best. Bloody Marys being a particular speciality for us, we were most impressed by the outstanding take on the subject here. You'll have to go to find the secret but do it. The food is fab too, Vinny a great barman, loved it.

Small, comfortable gem for modern American cuisine

By copyvet |

True to its name, Tiny's is a small restaurant, but don't be deterred. It's kitchen carries a big punch. We've been there twice late in the evening, and on both occasions the food was excellent. The menu, while not large, offers a range of modern American trendy options. The dishes are well thought out and excellently prepared. Deserts can be a little too whimsical for their own good. The vibe is a bit hip, casual and (in the back room) dark. Wines by the glass, while a bit expensive, are excellent.

really tiny but totally cool

By fizzakazmi |

excellent food good service and very small but equipped bar. we went there for dinner and i had the steak. Also tried the salmon which was superb.

Cozy restaurant - good food

By Cris B |

My friends and I went to dinner here recently, and everything was delicious. We shared some appetizers (meatballs, burrata and kale salad) and enjoyed each of them. There were a variety of entrees ordered amongst the 7 of us and everyone seemed very happy with the dishes. I ordered a pasta dish that was excellent! We also shared a couple of orders of tater tots and my only complaint is that we didn't order more. I wish this restaurant was closer to my home but I'd definitely make an effort to get back - especially for the burrata and tater tots (even though it's sounds like an odd combo in one meal).

Best Burger I EVER Had!

By Liz O |

Wanted to try this restaurant because it's owned by a player on the NYR. What a great treat. Its small, but cozy. Our waiter was great and offered good suggestions on the menu. We all had the burger and we were not sorry. It was the best burger I have ever eaten. The meat..the bun...and the homemade tater tots! OMG...you must try this place.

Meet me at Tiny’s

By Inspire26118 |

Cool spot to meet up with friends. We did apps only for our order. The meatballs were decent. Garlic fries are shoestring but the 2nd order was over seasoned. The shrimp cocktail is only 4 large shrimp but a good quality. The popcorn shrimp has a kick but it’s tasty. We were pleasantly surprised by the tuna tartare. It was fresh and nice on the palate.

2nd visit Still Great

By Hillary C |

We had a lovely brunch. Love the ambiance. The service was great. The super food pancake was great. The Tater ToTs are worth a visit all by themselves. Coffee was very good. We were all happy with our meals. It was a very rainy day and they let us sit at our table and take our time. Thank you. I am definitely coming back.

Tiny restaurant; big taste

By Cynthia M |

Tiny’s (and the Bar Upstairs) is a three-story townhouse located on West Broadway in the heart of Tribeca. The building dates to 1810 and much of the original materials have been restored and overlayed with whimsical American finish detail. The menu reflects modern American cuisine with Southern and French influences. My husband and I visited Tiny's with another couple as part of a four-day theater trip to New York City. My husband, Alan, had scallops and loved them. (But not as much as the ones he had at Ca Va Todd English the night before.) These were plated with salsify puree, bacon, broccoli, tarragon, and watermelon radish. I adored my wild Coho salmon served with herbed cauliflower, sauteed spinach, shoestring potatoes and red pepper coulis. I think the most impressive item we had, however, was dessert. Alan ordered the Kit Kat Bar and let all of us sample it. It was what a Kit Kat Bar would be if it died and went to heaven. It consisted of chocolate ganache, peanut butter crunch and raspberry coulis and we almost had to order a second because we liked it so much. Cocktails were excellent, as well, and the wine list was good. One word of caution: Tiny's is, well, tiny! You will be sitting in very close quarters and right up against other tables of guests. The noise level is pretty high. The restroom (unisex, which I hate) is really, really small and there was a line most of the night. But if you are in the mood for some great food and don't mind getting up close and personal with some other diners, give Tiny's a try.

I Lived to Tell,.... so far

By calexicon |

I'm afraid I'm taking out my anger with this review, but I'm really angry! With the many great dining establishments to choose from in TriBeCa, I picked Tiny's for the quaint atmosphere. I almost went for breakfast/ lunch, during jury duty, but opted to shop, to pass the time, to wait for dinner, instead. I moved inside after being attacked by mosquitos in the outdoor cafe area. I probably should have left after I was put off by what seemed like a moldy taste to the water. I thought of having a soda, but when the waitress told me they are housemade, I cringed and thought :"Better not". It went downhill from there. The pecan glazed Brussels sprouts, that I was looking forward to, weren't cooked enough for me to digest and lacked the sweet flavor I was expecting. There was one pecan. The cheese encrusted homemade tater tots must have just come out of the fryer, because I burned the roof of my mouth and had to take a gulp of that water (yuk), but worst of all, the meatballs, which were delicious, covered in a melted cheese and tomato sauce, came with three hunks of Italian baguette that were in a cheesy/buttery crisp, but had sesame seeds, that I am allergic to, hidden on the side, so I didn't see them until I'd already dunked the bread in the sauce and eaten quite a bit. As I told my waitress, that I had to leave because my throat was closing up, all she could say was: "You should tell people when you have a food allergy", as if it was my fault! Needless to say, I was most disappointed in this school of customer service. I didn't have time to ask for the manager. I'm sure that most TriBeCa diners expect better than this. At the very least, I expected an apology and maybe something removed from the bill. It might be fun for drinks, but I noticed something that made me question their standards of cleanliness. Sorry, I won't be back. :(

Friendly and delicious

By CheasTravel |

There is a nice small terrasse on the street, which is very enjoyable. Also, a shorter, yet inspired menu, probably has everything to please. Kids seemed to enjoy it too! The staff is very friendly. The meal was a real delight. It could have been blend (pasta), yet every bite was a little different and filled with flavor. I will go back.

Do not book here. Management sells itself to the highest bidder, cancels on diners last minute.

By worldlyBOSwoman |

Well in advance I made a booking for 4 people for a celebration dinner at Tiny’s. Only a day beforehand, I received a e-cancellation notice saying my reservation was canceled, the restaurant was booked for a private event that evening. Incredulous that a restaurant would have so little regard for its customers, I called them asked what the real story was — expecting to hear that someone caught Covid, or something serious had happened to the chef. But no. They got a better offer and simply dumped their reserved customers. It did not matter to them that this was to have been a special celebration for one of my guests, that I jhad ust flown in from Florida, and another two were arriving from Washington. Nor did they care that it is nearly impossible to get an alternate table at a decent restaurant on a weekend with such short notice. It was simply too late in the game for a service business to so cavalierly ruin other people’s plans. I’ll certainly NEVER return!

Great little discovery

By GregLynn M |

Were walking around and needed lunch. Found this on restaurant and google map and decided to try it. We had brunch. Food was excellent. Cozy little restaurant. The smell of the wood burning fire created a feeling of being in a farmhouse kitchen. cozy, comfortable and great food.

Great little find

It's Tiny, it does amazing cocktails and good food. Very casual and great service from Vinny - very casual - found it walking back from Ground Zero memorial- a must do!!

Great meal, cosy atmosphere

We landed here on recommended of our hotel and what a great recommendation it turned out to be. The food was fresh, interesting and delicious, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was cosy and romantic. Couldn't have asked for more.

Cute Spot, Good Food

By shaminajoy |

Went to this spot for breakfast, and we were not disappointed. They were able to customize my order so that it was gluten free, and I really enjoyed what I ordered (I had the egg bowl minus the grains with extra added vegetables). The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and fun (the staff even lit a fire while we were there).

Good local bar - with great food to boot!

By sisterpv |

Popped in here with my daughter, who now lives here in NY. Slow night so we went to the upstairs bar. Super friendly bartender. Crazy customers popping in and out but really enjoyed to chill vibe, nice wine and surprisingly good food. Definitely will stop back in.

Great atmosphere

Excellent food , steak , coffee rubbed duck & chicken pate to start , to name a few . One of the nicest meals in our brief visit to New York from the UK . It was recommended to us by a fellow Brit , a stones throw from the 9/11 museum .. Well worth a visit .

Quaint Little Place

By T2Socks |

I found this place from a YouTube video of someone who lives in NYC checking it all the small hidden places to have a wonderful cocktail. We were waiting to go elsewhere so we headed in relatively early. Although I saw the wonderful fireplace, I asked if we could go upstairs and they said, “He should be open now”. There was no one up there and he was just setting up the bar. While having a lovely conversation with the bartender, we looked over the drink menu. There are a lot of interesting drinks. I got Kissed by a Rose and it was delicious. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his drinks as well. This place is all done in hip antique pieces with appropriate mood lighting. This is a wonderful little bar. Yes, the prices are very high but that tends to go with NY and craft cocktails. We were happy to hear that there are no ‘domestic’ beers here. That is a good thing if you are looking for a nice craft cocktail experience. If someone in your party needs a domestic, the bartender is happy to give you suggestions given what they have. During our second drink, this place started picking up in patrons so we moved along. But this is definitely a place to stop if you are in the area!

Great good and service and a lovely ambience

By welovesunshine2 |

The name says it all, this restaurant is tiny, well, not super tiny but small enough! Went here ad-hoc after work and really enjoyed the ambience and the food. The steak was superb. Highly recommend stopping by on an evening although I would think you'd normally need a reservation (we were late on a quiet night).

Didn't get to find out

By Simon R |

This looked promising, the decor is a bit shabby but I expect that's the look they're trying to cultivate. Glancing at other diners plates, still looking good. The tables at the back are very dark, you'll need a torch/flashlight to read the menu. A friendly welcome "your server will be with you in a minute....." They weren't. Thankfully, the foul mouthed idiot on the adjacent table left after ten minutes. Ho hum.... Fingers tapping in the table....) Nor were they there in 20 minutes. Too dark to read the newspaper whilst we waited, so we left. A cheery "thank you" from the same guy on the way out. Umm, for what exactly? Wasting our time?

Tasty food, good service, great drinks

By TravelSomeMFS |

This was such a great experience. We tried this restaurant last night and it was delicious. Every dish we tried tasted great and there are several fun and yummy drinks. The server was really attentive and great. He handled a table sitting next to us that seemed very difficult with such grace. I would love to go back another time and try some other dishes, so good.

Brinch

By lschroederDresher |

We stumbled across Tinys when looking for brunch the other day in New York. The charming, delightful, eclectic setting provided the perfect backdrop for a wonderful brunch. The food was delicious, exactly as described on the menu. Although a bit pricey, it is well worth a return visit when we are next in New York. We may even try it for dinner as we hear that dinner is also delicious. Do not hesitate to try Tinys, a real gem in the Wall Street area

Cozy, romantic bar with good food

By CarlaEb |

We went there for an evening drink and the place didn't disappointed at all, despite the fact that it is super tiny - as the name suggests. Actually I'd say it is cozy, charming and romantic. We had the mussels and it was the best we ever had in NY. Good wine list and great service. Off- hours reservations will grant you extra points on open table.

Horrible experience...so over-rated

By copperbottom |

Booked a table and arrived half an hour early. The restaurant, bar area is lovely and great setting. Had a drink in the bar and was totally over-charged...great start! Had a good table upstairs, that was spoilt, on one side, by people on from the bar loitering and on the other by coats hung up on the wall next to us. Service initially was very slow. Prices here are fairly steep, so we expecting a lot. Starters were good but the wine never came until mid-way through and was served in warm wine glasses. The meatballs were delicious, as was the chicken liver mousse, though spoilt by charcoaled bread on the side (we asked for less burnt bread and 10 mins later, more burnt toast arrived) - if you are gonna charge top dollar, you'd expect them to be able to toast bread with some love! For main we ordered the butternut squash ravioli - absolutely disgusting..overcooked, watery and just bizarre. Sent back to be replaced by the scallops, that were gritty, poorly cooked and sitting on a slimy bed of something....very plain. The wine list is marked-up terribly too. This place is really bad. Please avoid at all costs and don't be fooled by the romantic, cosy interior.

AMAZING!

By Jolyon H |

Came here on a lady’s recommendation that we meet on the street. We were not disappointed. An amazing small restaurant with amazing food and innovative cocktails. Can not recommend this restaurant highly enough!

A major disappointment

By Coco R |

Just had dinner there, and at best, I'd give the whole experience a D+. The food, in general, was extremely bland. Exceptions were good duck, but also carrots so undercooked that they were too hard to be eaten, underdone and cold goat cheese croutons accompanying the beet salad, and scallops that were rare in the center--cold, and barely solid. The wines had neither flavor nor character. We were looking forward to this visit, and were sadly disappointed.
