So good we dined there twice!

We have been in NYC for 6 days and Tito's is so good we have dined there twice! Great friendly staff and the shrimp nachos and fajitas are amazing!

Great Atmosphere

By Aunt_Tray |

I went here with friends for dinner and drinks before a show. The location is great and it has a really fun atmosphere. I had a little bit of everything on the table and it was all delicious. They were out of some items that were on the menu, but that may have been due to COVID.

Great drinks & food

Great menu options!! drinks were very satisfactory! Definitely will return and bring more friends here in the future

Great atmosphere and good value food

By Ronny48 |

We stumbled on this place while looking for somewhere reasonably priced to eat. We enjoyed our first meal so much that we went again a couple of days later. More of a local bar than a restaurant but the food was pretty good too. Had a great menu, good range of beer and was a nice, friendly place to sit for a while. Plenty of locals using the place and also plenty of seating on 2 levels considering the small entrance on W 46th Street. Bar area was nicely decorated for Xmas and the atmosphere was really good, always a decent amount of people in when we visited.

Authentic Mexican Restaurant. Great menu choices and Margaritas.

Great authentic Mexican restaurant. Loved the decor and atmosphere. Very reasonable for NYC. Food was superb and staff very accommodating in explaining and recommending dishes.

Worth the walk from Times Square

By RImom65 |

The food was great . Can dine outside which was a plus. Big portions and authentic food. Located in restaurant row. Close to Times Square and Hells Kitchen. Skip the chain restaurants.

Beautiful Bar in Hells Kitchen

Dropped in for an early evening drink Bar is deceptive with small entrance leading to a lovely sized room which was enhanced by some fantastic Christmas decorations It was described to us as a Irish Mexican bar! What a combination Well worth a visit

Great Food

By David P |

Excellent food! I would highly recommend for anybody looking for good Mexican food in Hell’s Kitchen! The entire staff was courteous and friendly and they ensured we had a pleasurable visit.

Food was just decent. Not what I was hoping from a Mexican food restaurant.

By david m |

Being from the South Mexican food is a staple. This place was lacking in many areas. Chips and Salsa upon arriving is not the norm here and only available by ordering it. The chicken enchilada were actually pretty good but plates do not come with rice/beans so it was just the entree. And oddly enough the glasses they give you to drink are basically shot glasses. Very odd and annoying! I refilled my own glass of water about 17-18 times for the meal. Just different from what I consider good Mexican food.

Bad Margaritas

By kap24 |

Atmosphere was so so. Empty on a Saturday night. Mixed drinks and margaritas were not good. Limited beers on tap. Look elsewhere.

Great Mexican food , Reasonably priced !

By MrsS |

Excellent Mexican ! Went here before a jazz bar and was perfect- we were trying to find a Mexican for our last night and stumbled upon here, great atmosphere , reasonably priced could not fault the food or service.

Great bartender

By karenCFC |

What a lovely bar. Came across this on our way back to our hotel and decided to go in for drinks. The Christmas decorations were still up and looked amazing. We were served by a lovely bartender called William from Columbia. What a nice guy and very interesting to talk to. Will definitely visit again next time we are in NYC

Quality Mexican Food

Great choice of Mexican food. All deliciously cooked. Great cocktail choices. Really nice venue over multiple floors.

When in New York City be sure to drop in

Had a great time in Tito Murphy’s. Spent 5 nights in NYC and Tito’s was located across the street from our Hotel (RIU Plaza) West 46th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues, and was our base for our entire stay. The staff were all warm and friendly and very attentive to us. By far the staff in Tito’s were the friendliest staff we encountered in bars during our stay. Tito’s is a lovely large bar, so plenty of room for people to have something to eat or to just stop in for a drink. The food menu offers diners options of Mexican food or Irish dishes with some American twists. The food was excellent and would highly recommend the “Murphy Burger” or their Chicken wings. Will definitely be returning to this gem.

Nice basic place that is family friendly.

By Pia W |

Very nice atmosphere and good service and the food was served fast and was very tasty. We took some of it with us as we could not finish it all.

Convenient location

By eastenderLI |

We stayed next door at The French Quarters. While waiting for our room to be ready (we arrived early), we decided to have lunch at Tito Murphy’s. What a pleasant surprise! They had a varied, reasonably priced menu with lunch specials. I had a Burrito Bowl with Steak and my partner had a huge hamburger with delicious fries. We both enjoyed our meals. The manager and staff were very attentive. Before going to a musical the next night, we stopped in for a quick bite. We let them know we had a show to go to and they accommodated our request in a timely manner with great service. The restaurant / bar has a great atmosphere. Certainly worth a visit.

Amazing dinner

Arturo is the best bartender. Food is amazing ambiance is great. And food is great. We had some much fun. Valentine’s Day was great.

Great atmosphere!

By Flo H |

The atmosphere in here was great! The staff were really friendly and the food was amazing. We were here is a family and the kids menu was also very good. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for amazing Mexican food.

Really bad food.

By Stefano M |

Pretty much the worse Mexican food I’ve ever tried. No flavor whatsoever. The fish tacos were inedible, we literally could not eat it. The service was ok. Would not recommend it.

Great Lunch

By njtess96 |

I had a great lunch here today before attending the theater. The menu was good with appetizers and Mexican classics. I had a salad with shrimp. The shrimp were tasty and grilled, and the dressing was awesome. Price was very reasonable.

Always my favorite when I visit the cty!

By tiktokyadontstop |

Edgar was our server, he was amazing! We let him know that we had to make the line time for the Daily Show and all of the food came out fast and hot. Portion size was great. I totally recommend 10/10 Thank you for making my mom's birthday special!

Absolutely brilliant

Best Mexican meal we have ever had great find just off Times Square. Staff we friendly and efficient would highly recommend.

Excellent Mexican food

By Gregsky |

My wife and I went here before a show on 47th street. Service (Ciro C) was fast and friendly. My wife started with a margarita, which she didn't drink (because the tequila was a little harsh), but everything else was great. I had a Modelo and she had a glass of wine. She had a steak burrito bowl and I had fajitas. The food came very quickly and was hot and delicious. Total cost was $85, plus tip. Very cool ambiance in this place with a great location.

Nice spot nearby many theaters

By SkateGirl314 |

Decent food and friendly service. The chicken enchiladas I had were tasty but had bone in so be careful eating them. Margaritas were also tasty!

Nor impressed

By Jayne081 |

Firstly not having menus was quite annoying. Having to read everything out to my husband as he didn’t have his phone. Ordered chicken empanadas. First bite had a big piece of grizzle in it. So couldn’t eat it. Husband has chicken taco which he said were filling but bland. Churros were nice. Service a bit rubbish. Waiter spent most of the time watching tv. Feel that it’s wrong to expect a 25% tip when it’s below average.

Dinner

By Mark R |

Slow service. The only thing they brought out right away was water. We literally had to ask for drink order and food order to be taken. The queso wasn’t smooth in texture but the the food was ok.

Average Mexican

By John S |

Service was good and prices were good for NYC. Thought the food was just average though but I've also never found many great Mexican restaurants in NYC.

Delicious!

By Claire Simp |

Myself and my family came here when we visited New York in December 2019. Staff were very kind and helpful and managed to get a table for us(we were so grateful as it was lashing rain outside and we had no reservation!) We ordered a few different dishes(burritos and fajitas) it was all very tasty! Margaritas were delicious and hit the spot before we headed off to broadway to see a show! Highly recommend!

Great Mexican food in a comfortable setting

By tj0nesbari |

We love the bar at this restaurant. The dining room, in genera is lively, tasteful and yes, impressive! The bar is great and the drinks are excellent. The staff is very friendly and they know what they are doing. The food is authentic, reasonably priced and very good. We will return for sure.

Rude staff, would not recommend

By Melly |

Visited here for dinner as a couple, ordered quickly a starter each and three main dishes to share. These all arrived quickly also, unfortunately, the service from our waitress was incredibly rude and uncomfortable, once my partner finished their plate she took it immediately (whilst I was still eating), the same for the main dishes these were taken from the table even while still eating which is again incredibly rude. Through the course of the meal the restaurant was pretty empty, aside from two table downstairs and one upstairs, so it was easy to see what is going on, the waitress was staring and us the whole meal, each time we looked over at her staring she would quickly avert her gaze, again an uncomfortable setting for dinner. At the end of the meal, we were still enjoying our drinks and sitting (having been seated around 65 minutes most) the waitress came over to the table and said are you paying the bill now, my partner replied ‘yes, we will on the way out as we are still dining’, the waitress then smirked and lingered over the table still awaiting us to follow to pay and leave, me partner again said ‘on the way out’ in case she did not hear or understand us, again she said are you paying now, my partner followed her to the till to pay as I stayed seated (having finished food maybe 10 minutes prior, still with my drink, and it being completely empty). Understandably we left no tip, as it was an expensive meal anyway for quite unauthentic Mexican food, and the service did not deserve a tip (we usually leave 25% this was pure reflection on service), once it was seen no tip was left she then walked away to the middle of the restaurant from my partner paying and kept her back turned. My partner returned to sit down with me and we finished our drinks and left after about 5 /10 further minutes as it was uncomfortable and we were planning to order more drinks/food but we’re rushed the entire time to the extent we went to an italian restaurant down the street for dessert and a drink. Overall it was a very disappointing experience here and I would not recommend visiting.

Definitely recommend

By Jbro772 |

Visited Tito Murphys for the first time yesterday. Had a great experience, Keith couldn't do enough 4 us. As a regular visitor to NYC we will most definitely be back. We totally recommend Titos for food and drinks 100% And FYI, please try frozen margaritas.. OMG Johnny and Ursula

Yummy

The food was delicious, the staff was wonderful, the building was beautiful, and holy crap what a tequila list!

Fab Mexican food in Times Square

Food is good quality meet, excellent flavor and taste. The waiters and waitresses are lovely and the service is excellent.

Really good tacos

By sabearfan12 |

Our first night in NYC in a few years. The city was opening the next night from the pandemic and it was only 7pm and a lot of places were closed. We had thought about some other places for tacos but stumbled upon Tito Murphy’s. My daughter and I thought it looked like a good place to try. The prices were decent and the menu while not overly abundant with choices had enough on it for us. We started with the Tres Salsas, a basket of tortilla chips with roasted tomatoes salsa, queso and guacamole and joined that with 2 dishes of tacos, 3 pollos and 3 carnitas. They were both good choices. My daughter loved the queso and we really liked the simplicity of the tacos, just the meat with some onion and cilantro on them and then a couple dressings, one was like a green Chile sauce and the other like a chipotle sauce. Paired it with a Modello.

Restaurant Row’s best Margarita!

By Giveahoot |

Restaurant Row is lucky to have this awesome restaurant grace it’s historic street. Mexican at it’s NYC best and Margaritas that can’t be beat. James was a terrific server and made our experience special. Ready to go back!

Fantastic bar

Brilliant bar, fantastic selection of drinks. Romany the bartender was terrific. Would definitely recommend to group of friends who just want to hang out in a place with a really vibrant atmosphere.

Unexpectedly Good

By ctn66 |

We went here for lunch on a whim. It's on restaurant row but don't let that deter you. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was unexpectedly good. I had the chicken mole while one of the people with me had the tacos and the other had shrimp enchiladas. All of us enjoyed our food, and the person who ordered the shrimp enchiladas was particularly pleased because although it was not on the menu, the waiter didn't hesitate a beat when asked if they could do it, he just said, "yes." We will return the next time we are in NYC.

Delicious Mexican food in

By Jitske E |

Delicious Mexican food in big portions for a very reasonable price. Very friendly staff. When we realized there was not much time left before our show, they were more than happy to pack our desert to go. Come early in the weekend because they might be full.

Irish bar with a Mexican twist - great food!

By Rebecca F |

Great, friendly bar & restaurant, the food was really good, highly recommend the enchiladas! Daniela our waitress was so lovely, great service. Highly recommended if you’re staying at Riu Plaza Times Square hotel as it’s just on the opposite side of the road a few doors down.

Tasty Mexican

By Benjamin M |

Service was friendly and prompt. Drinks were tasty. Food was delicious- would have appreciated a little side of included rice. My youngest had the vegetarian bowl- she liked it but the tofu needed some flavoring/spice/sauce. Chicken enchiladas were great. Chicken burrito also was enjoyed.

It was fine

By agashi24 |

Burrito bowl was fine and my sons burrito was good. My husband ordered enchiladas and was surprised at how small they were but he liked the taste. Pretty middle of the road.

Wonderful Place

An early dinner!

By ianshamshey |

I was doing some odds and ends in Hell's Kitchen and realized that I didn't have lunch but it was almost dinnertime. I was looking around for a place to eat and stumbled upon Tito Murphy's, an Irish Mexican pub. It is a large space with a long bar with additional seating in the back. I was seated and water was brought to the table but no chips or salsa. I was looking over the menu and the special was 3 tacos for $9. It was your choice of which to have but they had to be three of the same. I ordered the shrimp and this came with a small cucumber salad. The tacos were tasty but small. The service was good and the waiter was attentive. It was very reasonably priced. I would recommend and return

Fantastic

By Bev61 |

Fantastic staff! A shout out to Angie behind the bar. An absolute treasure. So informative about any questions we asked.. We didn’t actually eat here but went in every night during our stay for drinks. The food did look good though. As we went during December, it was decorated wonderfully with Christmas decorations. It really put us in a Christmas spirit. Thank you.

Good service!

Dined here after seeing a Broadway show to celebrate my niece's birthday. It was the first hot day of the season and we had a very table outside on their patio, which is very nice, but there was very little breeze or shade at one point. If you're heat sensitive, I would suggest a table inside in the aircon. The inside was very nicely decorated and has beautiful high ceilings. Our waiter was very nice and friendly. The food was good. We shared Tres Salsas that comes with Roasted Tomato, Queso, Guacamole and Tortilla Chips. It was okay. I had the fish tacos, which were good. Others in my party had the steak fajitas, steak tacos and chicken quesadillas - they all said their food was very good. The first drink (Hibiscus Mezcalita) I ordered I didn't care for (it was too smoky for my taste) and I asked the waiter for a new drink and they did not charge me for the drink I didn't consume, which was very nice of them to do. I enjoyed the second drink (a regular margarita) much more! My mom had a Pama Margarita, which was delicious. It was also my niece's birthday and they put a candle in her flan and sang happy birthday, which is always nice! It made her day! Thank you!
