We had a last minute get together with friends last week. Even though we weren't expecting much, the night ended up great, and a few other groups came in after us. It felt like the city is coming back together again! Yay!

Every time I visit New York I go to this restaurant for pizza and it never disappoints. Lovely wine and lovely staff and the pizza is always delicious. Full marks!

Our tour group arrived at 5:00 p.m. only to discover they were not expecting us. Finally they set up an area in the back for 25 or so people. We noticed that all of the other tables had cloth napkins but we were given paper!! Our menu had three options - salmon, pasta, and chicken. The chicken was actually quite good but the salad was horrible. Wilted bitter lettuce with very little dressing. I have never before had a salad that was so bad! Couldn't eat it. The included dessert was fine although apparently not memorable since I don't recall what it was. I would not recommend this restaurant as there are many other options within a block or two.

Undoubtedly a fake Italian restaurant although run by a group of very rude Neapolitans. Pizza with electric oven, 15 minute wait to sit down (at that moment the place had plenty of seats). As an Italian I advise against it.

With all the noise of the streets around this restaurant is a calm oasis, a good friendly welcome, very efficient service but most of all good Italian food. A great menu and a fine selection of wines. We enjoyed it so much we went back again.

Worked in NYC for 35 years, had season tickets to Knicks (when they were worth watching) and never, ever came across this place. Waiter said it had been there, next to a hotel, but not an actual hotel restaurant for 30 years under one name or another. Food was well prepared, menu was extensive and despite a well priced $29 3 course special, we had to try the dishes on the regular menu. Beet salad and steamed clams w/chorizo apps and grilled salmon and roasted scallops for mains! Excellent meals, excellent service and a block away from MSG! We’ll be back...

After seeing Jersey Boys, we walked our family back to Penn Station and had dinner together here. I had the seafood, my husband the pork chop. The service was great and the food was tasty. Prices were reasonable and not too loud. Recommend.

Happened to find this place on TripAdvisor while searching for a restaurant near MSG before 3/4/22 Ranger game. Had very good reviews and a two minute walk from Penn Station. Wine list was very inexpensive for location (we had the Chianti) and enjoyed our bottle. Our appetizers were eggplant parm and shrimp cocktail. Both were great and the shrimp were nice. My wife had the broiled scallops and I had the filet mignon. Both were cooked perfectly and tasted great. We finished up with the vanilla gelato which was huge (we shared one order which was plenty). Our waitress “Dana” was exceptional and prompt helping us get on our way to the game . But not before I slipped in a snifter of Sambuca to cap off a wonderful meal. Will definitely return!

Nice bar, but the drinks were a little expensive, so we only visited the once as there so many other options close by.

This authentic Italian restaurant was at the end of the street of our hotel. Great find the food was delicious and freshly made. The ambiance of the restaurant was relaxing and perfect after a hectic day sightseeing in NYC. Would highly recommend.

Staying at the New Yorker Hotel we were tired from traveling and walking. Went here for convenience and now wish we had just caught a cab somewhere else. When entering the hostess (white, 30ish, short hair, accent) sternly said to us “you’ll have to wait for a while” and walked away. I worked in a restaurant for 8 years and found her demeanor very off putting. A waiter seated us, and when my husband asked if there were any specials such as lasagna, he scrunched his face up shaking his head like we were crazy. 23 yo Daughter and I ordered their “thin crust pizza” two different kinds. While the toppings were good quality there is no doubt in my mind the crust arrives there frozen. I’ve had better thin crust from the grocery store. Husband’s Porchetta was very tender albeit a bit salty. Also the environment seemed a bit odd. While there were people like us, there were a lot of loud men hanging out at tables just drinking beer. Bright lighting was a bit glaring for dinner time. I realize this is NYC, but their customer service is pretty terrible. Food not worth the money. We never encountered anyone else rude during our visit to the city. Even the MTA employee who approached us at the subway was more pleasant and interested in helping. Too many choices in NY. Go somewhere else.

We were staying at the New Yorker Hotel where this restaurant is located so it was nice and easy to have a meal here. Good choice of Italian food. We had pizzas and a pasta dish and all were excellent. Very good service too.

We had dinner at Trattoria Bianca in the Wyndham New Yorker prior to attending the Thursday performance of Paul Simon's Farewell Tour at MSG (this was his 102nd appearance at the Garden and the concert was great). The meals were great. I had the Chicken Pesto Rigatoni that was delicious. My wife had the Shrimp Puttanesca (holding the Anchovies) and this was delicious. My Sister-In-Law had the Veal Francesces and my Brother-In-Law had Veal Milanese. They both thought their dishes were excellent. We shared an Italian Sundae minus the whipped cream and it was delicious. The wine and bar menu was very encompassing. We agreed that the Black Russian was very good. I had a Barbera d'Alba that was very smooth and light on the palate. For dinner I had the Barolo Riserva which had a dry, full body with an explosion of fruit in the mouth feel. A gtreat wine. We all agrred that we would definitely dine here again.

Casual atmosphere, conveniently located on the lobby level of the New Yorker Hotel. Delicious food, efficient service. We tried the gorganzola fondue . Delicious! My entree was the lamb shank. It melted in my mouth!

We had a great time at this pizzeria. The service is friendly and pleasant, and the waitress even tried to speak French to us. The pizzas are delicious and a change from Burgers!

Located near Penn Station, the Trattoria offers menu selection -- just back from Milan, we were looking for a nice American restaurant but couldn't resist Italian-American. Looked out... superb goose ravioli and burrata. And the lobster bisque was so good that my wife had one bowl for the appetizer and a second for the main. Great service, great good. Nice place to spend an hour or two before your train leaves... will be our go-to place anytime we're waiting for a train.

First time to dine here and we loved it. Good food at reasonable prices, excellent service, and a comfy vibe. I had the Crab Cake Burger with tasty garlic fries and my wife really like her Veal Scallopini Alla Piccatta. They have 1,000 point tables for some dates/times on Open Table.

The food was good, not great. The dinning experience was friendly, not fancy even though the appearance seems fancy.

We went here on Friday evening and thought it was excellent. Service was exceptional, with the server offering opinions on our selections and assuring us not to order too many sides due to the sizes of the dishes. He was very attentive all evening. Steaks arrived and they were all cooked to perfection and delicious. The garlic fries are also a must! Would return here if back in NYC.

This restaurant is located in the hotel The New Yorker on 8th Avenue. We loved the relaxed atmosphere and delicious Italian food. The staff was very pleasant & professional staff. Prices are reasonable.

Food was delicious. Price fixe lunch very reasonable and good selections. Desserts were heavenly. Service was great- had Dimitri who was very personable, attentive and efficient. Try this place!

We asked for a prime rib and got an overcooked New York strip which was a bad, chewy cut of meat. The fries were decent and the mozzarella sticks were good but the main course wasn’t desirable at all. Expensive and took forever just to pay bill and get away from the disappointment. Do not recommend. Everyone was ordering seafood. Maybe that’s where we went wrong?

Huge Portions of wonderful Food Excellent variations Chicken Parmiagano was out of this world as was the scallops with beans

Ideally located in New York, close to Times Square, the restaurant offers a whole range of Varied meals, a change from the classic Burger.

Came here for dinner prior to a show at MSG. Great location and right next to MSG Food was great but a little over priced Nice bar atmosphere too!

we ate here three or four times - all good. Also had a drink here after a show - also good. Wait staff were good - with one exception - but he was working another table happily.

I was looking forward to going here as it was in out lovely hotel & I had seen some good reviews, the evening started badly as we stood waiting to be seated for about five minutes but were ignored by the staff & the place wasn't even quarter full, eventually a gentleman walked up behind us & asked was it for two, i amused by his manner & dress he was the manager so I said yes but instead of taking us to a table he passed us over to a smartly dress lady who had previously ignored us & went back to his conversation, we were led over to a till where three servers were talking & when they were finished we were passed over to one of them who showed us to our seat, on a plus note this place has gluten free food & drinks, the beer was nice but the food was terrible, I ordered the chicken pesto pasta gluten free & the waiter then brought me wheat bread!the pasta which was under cooked as some of the pasta was still a little hard, it tasted revolting, way too much pesto it was like they just put a whole jar in & nothing else it was swimming in it with a mixture of oil & water, I can cook better myself, the chicken was also dry & there was far too much of it in the pasta,I didnt even finish it as it was so bad, my wife had a simple margarita pizza but she only ate half as it was so oily, the cheese was almost swimming of the top & it was served on a pizza tray, really bad service & food, I would avoid it as the McDonald's over the road is even better!

We eat here on consecutive nights it was that good. Service is first class and I can recommend the Pizza. Wow!!

Restaurant staff were very efficient serving a large group of 30 people. Food was excellent. Environment is charming.

A great restaurant. A wide selection of starters and mains to choose from. I had paella and Caesar salad , best paella I’ve had outside Spain. Mu sister in law impressed with the vegetarian options- had the vegetarian pizza which said was gorgeous. The other members of the party enjoyed their meals - one described his burger as outstanding. It was pricey for food, however the drinks were the same prices as other bars and restaurants we had been in. Our waiter ( from Greece) was witty, attentive, helpful and very good at his job.

Went on Christmas Day with the family visiting from London UK. Booked online on opentable and turned up on time. Hostess could not be bothered to come and meet us at entrance and was suprised to find we had made a reservation. Given a nice table for 6 (2 adults and 3 children) and we had an excellent meal. Italian looking waiter seems to think he is to cool for the job. Poor attitude, inattentive service and cheek to add a $20 tip for his poor attitude. When I asked for more soda abruptly replied 'we don't do refills!'. This was our first proper meal in NYC otherwise I would have realised this was unacceptable even in NYC and refused him half the tip. Would appreciate some contact from management as the food really was excellent but the staff's poor attitude meant we did not come back even though we would have loved to do so.

Located inside the New Yorker hotel. Stopped after dinner to enjoy drinks and conversation with friends.

We ordered a quattro formaggi, cheese tortellini, and eggplant parmigiana. All were disappointing and not what we expected at all. Tortellini were tough. Pizza had the wrong 4 types of cheese (and we are basing it on all the four cheese pizzas we've had in the places we've visited, including Italy) Eggplant parmigiana had the sauce separate from the eggplant. Perhaps they wanted to put a twist into the dishes or make it a fusion- like approach, but it didn't work for us. Felt like it was not worth the money we paid. And it was sad because it was the last dinner we had in NY before flying back home.

Offer gluten free pasta which is better than most places in New York, only one type though and had no gluten free bread to replace the bread offered to other customers.

Our waiter disappeared after the meal was delivered. No check in or offer for bread. Another waiter stepped in to clear our table and bring the check. The food was satisfactory but the menu was a bit limiting. If your looking for an Italian experience, you might consider other options first.

Very disappointing, should have realised as restaurant wasn’t very full. Food was very bland came out really quickly so obviously not cooked from fresh. Waiter wasn’t very friendly presumed we wanted a bottle of wine even when my friend requested a glass and when we pointed this out he did not apologise and was clearly not happy. Very overpriced for the quality of the food.

We stopped in after traveling all day on the train and were seated promptly. Food was good and service started off good but it took us a while to get refills and our check! I understand it gets busy but a quick stop at the table would be nice. We weren't the only ones in this waitresses section waiting for our refills or check. Not sure if she was new but regardless of that, the food was great. We would definitely return if we were in the area.

Stopped in at the end of the evening for a nightcap. Dmitri served us drinks (we were too late for the food) but the bartender made a nice drink! The music was great; the variety of guests was interesting, and the atmosphere was very friendly and conducive to meeting new people. We stayed for 2 drinks and went upstairs to the room and enjoyed a sound sleep.

Stayed at the hotel and tried this for a late lunch. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was wonderful. We had pasta and salads. My fav was the eggplant parm appetizer.

We had a few drinks in here on two evenings of our recent stay at New Yorker hotel. Drinks what you expect to pay for in NY and staff were very friendly

First time here and we were to have lunch with friends. We made the choice as it had a good menu and was close to Penn station where our friends arrived. We stated with a fine thin tasty a Pizza and after that two had mussels on the lunch menu and then two had Risotto and Veal. Too this we had two bottles of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wine. Just fine. 4+. Then when we asked for the bill they had added 20% on the bill without asking. Why? Then on top of that suggestion of 15, 20 and 25% tip. What is wrong? Nothing should be added by the venue if you are four guests. Then tip should not be paid on the tax. Shame on these venues. It is a shameful way of trying to cheat the customers.

Delicious food, pleasant evening, friendly service, but afterwards we discovered that they had charged us far too much. We left a tip and afterwards the bill showed that they had charged $20 more than the amount (including tip). I haven't had any problems with this anywhere else, but I did in this restaurant. So pay attention is the message!

My son and I went to this restaurant because it was in my hotel and we were tired. Big mistake. The room’s decor barely surpasses the diner at the same hotel and is more coffee shop than trattoria. Service was surly and uniformed - “That wine is not available by the glass” when it was. Plates thrown on the table and stacked on the table when removed. “You ready to order?” Caesar salad had a chemically taste. My son ordered gnocchi but received bucatini with the same sauce. My pizza bianco with arugula was the single worst pizza I’ve ever eaten. Cold. Dry. Like a cracker. Inedible. This is NYC for god’s sake, Pizza Hut could do better. No bueno.

We had dinner here as it was near to our hotel and we had done enough walking for the day. The staff were friendly and attentive. We had bread and dips to start which were brought over to the table shortly after ordering, My son has calamari as a starter and it was very good. My husband had steak for a main course and he was impressed, I ordered a caesar salad which was also lovely, My son ordered a carbonara, however this was not that great. After eating some myself, I agreed that it tasted quite synthetic, almost like a TV dinner which is a shame as in an Italian restaurant you would assume it would taste fresh. Overall the experience however was good, but a little overpriced.

Excellent food and reasonable prices, especially for wine! And they are generous with the portions and the staff is super nice.

We shared chicken pesto rigatoni. They provided sliced bread with white bean/pepper dip...delish! The main dish was fabulous, incredibly tasty and a large portion, definitely enough to share. Service was okay at best. We had to ask for every little thing, but it was brought quickly. I would recommend this restaurant. Its connected to the New Yorker Hotel, and has an entrance at the street, and another from in the hotel. Is this review is helpful, please give me a vote so I know it.

Called in with my family (five of us) more by chance as we had no particular place in mind. Our waiter was extremely friendly and courteous and looked after us very well. We had a range of meals including pizza, seafood and salads. I can honestly say that the salads were excellent in both quality and content. Would definitely visit again.

We didn’t go looking for this place, we just happened to be in the area because our son wanted to look at a train at the Station nearby. We were hungry. Our son has severe food allergies. We usually bring all his food when we travel from home in Florida. When I say everything, I mean it. We cook and freeze his main stuff and pre make his cookies and crackers. I want to say, we were not expecting them to accommodate our son. We usually call well ahead of time just to make sure he can actually eat there. From the moment we walked in, Tina made us feel comfortable and at home! The pasta dishes we had were amazing but the best part was that they accommodated our son. I can count on one hand how many restaurants have actually did this and did it successfully. It’s a treat for us because we always cook his food. They made him a filet! Tina assured us that the chef will take every precaution in preparing it. She brought out the salt and pepper they would use and after looking at the label, we realized he couldn’t use the salt. She went in the back and found a salt that was safe! To go above and beyond to make sure he was gonna eat with us. The smile on his face was worth it! The next time we come back to NYC, we will DEFINITELY be dining here! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

This restaurant is conveniently located in The New Yorker. I was expecting a fairly good meal, but I was pleasantly surprised. I had the veal scallopini and it was very good. My partner had the braised lamb shank and he said it was very good.

I oicked this place solely based on the location. Maybe my expectations were low but Trattoria Bianca totally surprised me with how great it was! I started with the beet salad which was beautifully presented and delicious and then had the excellent pork chop with the Brussels sprouts and potato and bacon. Amazing! Was too full for dessert so passed there. And the prices are very reasonable and fair. A total find for anyone going to an event at MSG. We walked up after an event at Javitz (close by). Everyone I was with loves their meals too. Total do over!!

Good choice if you’re going to MSG. Unpretentious Italian fare. We went at 5 pm on a Thursday and by 6pm it was jammed so reservations are essential. What was surprising were the prices. Mains were around $25, pasta was around $20. I had the veal Milanese which was topped with lots of vinergy greens so don’t get a salad for an app. Pasta fagioli soup was uninspiring.

Good service, good food and pleasant environment. Reasonably priced, for New York, we would certainly use it again.

This lovely bar and restaurant is attached to the hotel. Whilst staying at the New Yorker it has been really lovely to have here in here for a cocktail 🍸 or 3 before going out or on our return from a day out. There is happy hour from 5-7 every evening, very handy otherwise it does become rather expensive. We have also eaten in the restaurant where I ate the most amazing crab fish cake I have ever ever tasted & washed down with a glass of champagne 🥂 We had breads and hummus to start again utterly delicious. The service was excellent and the place was buzzing. Highly recommend

We tend to avoid in /near hotel restaurants, but made this exception. The food was fresh, excellent, and very enjoyable. Unfortunately, our server was distracted and VERY disinterested in our table. Leaving us to sit for nearly 20 minutes to receive our bill. Left her a token tip, and a not that we would have tipped far better had the service warranted. Go for the food.

This is a hotel restaurant, one of three at the New Yorker hotel and we went there to look at the hotel as we hadn’t been back for years but we have to say we were pleasantly surprised. [We had eaten at the diner years ago] Nice atmosphere and very good service both at the bar and the table. Traditional Italian fare but well cooked simple food with a nice taste . The Italian meats and cheese starter was huge and gorgeous as were the two pasta dishes we tried. It’s not fine dining but doesn’t pretend to be and was a good meal overall.

I had hoped the reviews were not accurate- I was warned that the service and food were average. It was worse than that! I told them when I made the reservation, when I arrived at the restaurant, and when I sat down at my table that 2 of the 5 of us had to leave after 1 hour. I put in my appetizer and entree order when I sat down with 1 hour until I had to leave. When my friends arrived 10 minutes later, they gave their entree orders and the waiter said I had never given him my order! I gave it to him again. We had our fried calamari (dry) and eggplant (bland and cool) and my entree had not arrived by the time I had to leave!! So they clearly do not care about their customers. I do not recommend this restaurant and will never go again!

Went for lunch as it was close to Penn Station and were not disappointed. Had the scallops and they were excellent. We have put this restaurant on our visit again list.

We didn’t have reservations but they seated us right away. Our Waiter was an older Greek gentleman and he was fabulous. The staff was wonderful. Great ambiance and comfortable. I was impressed that the Wine List lit up which made it so easy to read. The Pasta was was fresh and the dishes were less seasoned than I’m used to but the Meals were very good and for Four People with Wine our bill was very reasonable.

As soon as my friend and I arrived in NYC and got checked into our hotel, we popped into the Trattoria Bianca for lunch. All restaurants in NYC are expensive, but this place seemed a little higher that expected. My friend and I both ordered the skyscraper burger and we know this wasn’t the best call, since we were at an Italian place. But we were trying to eating something lighter than pasta. We made a strategic area in ordering the burger. It was HUGE with a basket full of fries. I even got mine without a bun and it was still jaw dropping. My burger was cooked to medium rare as I requested, but still seemed to be a bit on the dry side, also the fries were made from frozen and while cooked well, were nothing special. It was a good first meal for our visit but not a great one. And yes I know, I should have gotten the pasta.

Four of us ate dinner here & we all thought the food was excellent with the exception of a side of steamed vegetables (over cooked with too much squash & zucchini). It's definitely value for money & $5 draft beers on a Monday night was a bonus. The only downside was the service which was average & made worse by the fact they charge a compulsory 20% gratuity and then have the gall to leave a space for an additional voluntary gratuity. Needless to say, they didn't get anything extra from me.

Ate hear with friends while in NYC for Westminster Dog Show while staying at New Yorker Hotel ( restaurant is attached to lobby) and the food is wonderful. Excellent selections make it difficult to decide what to have. Everyone ordered something different and everyone was very pleased with their dinners. Service was very good and prices are reasonable for NYC. They offer great appetizers and entrees and also pizza selections. Highly recommend

I have come to the restaurant on multiple occasions at various times with different companions for a variety of reasons and have never been disappointed. The restaurant is bright and cheery and well designed with the bar area in the front and the dining area towards the back. The restrooms are always clean and well stocked. The food and/or the wine/spirit menus are diverse and have enough options to satisfy any diner and anything I have ordered has been delicious. The wait staff is extremely professional while also being friendly. I have especially enjoyed Dimitri and John. They will ensure any time you come to this restaurant you will be happy and most of all look forward to your next outing in their restaurant.

The service was a little slow and the food I would say was average. Prices were about what you would expect for a sit down restaurant in NYC.

Delicious food, cozy place and great service. We were 02 times. Always well served. Varied cardboard and very tasty

Corner hotel restaurant, but hostess allows spacious seating for one or two diners. Menu is Italian with fixed price pre-theater specials and oysters in season.Service is friendly and art deco interior is stylish. Reasonable prices.Close to Penn Station as a dining option.

Waitress (excellent in every other way) asked if the fish (salmon) desired should be "rare, medium, or well done". We discussed this as I had only heard of "rare, medium, well done" in reference to meat! Anyway I ended up with "medium rare" salmon which tasted fine, but was a bit underdone in the center part. OPINION: with fish there is only one way to cook: THE RIGHT WAY. JUST FLAKY, NOT OVERDONE AND NOT UNDERDONE. Come on, Trattoria Bianca! Also, bit drafty and chilly and too much noise. Why are many restaurants so blankity blank blank noisy!? If you cannot hear your dining partner talk because of the racket, best go someplace else.

We have chosen Trattoria Bianca for short lunch stop in the trip from Philly to JFK. It was great choice - the food came quickly, it was very tasty, the service was great. And you can choose simple but excellent meal.

Food is just regular food, not impresive at all. Even the bread is flavorless. Service was not great, just regular service. Definitely I would not recommend this restaurant.

Food and service not great. Was very disappointed. There were four of us and we each ordered different dishes. This was my second visit I felt bad that it wasnt the same experience as the first and I was very disappointed

Having checked out from the hotel we decided to have something small to eat and a drink as we had some time to kill. Unfortunately, we did not spend enough and the bill was brought to us barely before we finished and before we even asked. Then we had the audacity to ask for a drink and that’s when the eyes started rolling. Please only come here if you’re looking for a three course meal or more as you will be dragged out the door by your hair otherwise.

Had great cocktails and the starter of calamari was crispy and nice. The service is average and the 4 of us agreed the mains were quite average.

Had lovely meal in this restaurant. Service good great table for two at back wall near the door. New York strip steak very big comes with chips (enough to feed three!) A bit pricy but worth the experiance. Nice bar area for drink before or after meal. Hubby had Carbonara which was lovely but he helped me with my steak!

We visited twice which indicates that we were happy with he restaurant. The first time we had pizza which was pretty good, although maybe a little too crispy for my liking. The next time we had Skyscraper burger and Parmagiana chicken a couple of beers and a coke. Fairly pricey, but the atmosphere was good and the waiter a delight

We was spoilt by choice for restaurants in New York, so it seemed like a calculated risk to go to the one below the hotel we were staying in (Wyndham). Perfect choice,we had 4 different mains, the New York steak was the pick,a lovely tasty well cooked hunk of meat. Word of warning if you fancy chips with it,share them as a potion is huge. The only slight disappointment was the peppercorn sauce, maybe America's interpretation is different to ours,as it had a strange 'twang' to it and just not to my taste. My daughter and I shared the cheesecake, delicious and huge. Not cheap this place, but worth every penny.

This is in the lobby of the New Yorker Hotel. Sit at the bar any time of day with a cocktail or bottle of wine, it's a great people watching spot to recharge your batteries.

No wait entrance with no reservation newded. Kind service. Delicious food at reasonable prices. their menu is very interesting and the quality of the meals outstanding. We were looking for something calm to cool down after a busy day and this place worked like a charm.

This is a good place to go for dinner before sporting events or concerts at MSG if you want some peace and quiet ahead of time. I have been here a few times and always found the food good. The portions are nice sized, the pricing is very reasonable for NYC and the service is good.

If you are into food with no flavor, this is your spot! Our party of six ordered a variety of dishes - chicken parm, shrimp scampi, fish, spaghetti w/meatballs, and pizza - not one was flavorful. Chef Boyardee could've done it better. The hair in the wine was a special treat. I suppose we should've known something was amiss when a reservation for 6 on a Saturday night was no problem. 100% do NOT recommend!

Arrived at 4:00 pm. Hostess asked if we had reservations which we did not have. She told us No tables were available. At that time only a few tables were occupied. Sat at bar. Food was great! Service was very good! Almost 2 hours later restaurant was half full. Table would have been great! Will return again. Suggestion, make reservations!

Service really terrible. Only when I mentioned the words 'review' and 'bad service' did the lady suddenly pay attention. And suddenly she offered free cheesecake and a doggy bag for the pizza. Food wasn't bad, but not special either.

For an Italian Restaurant I was majorly disappointed bread basket was not fresh bread and it would normally be served with Olive Oil and a splash of balsamic or butter whichever you prefer. We had olive oil with some tomato and a huge dollop of Humus in it ?? We ordered Lasagne, maybe it’s just me but doesn’t this normally come with white sauce and tomato between the layers of pasta and have a crispy cheesy top. Not many layers and no tomato/marinara had to ask for some marinara to go with my lasagne, how ridiculous it that. It was the Albino of Lasagnes. Really disappointed to be honest. Give up in the end and we even skipped desert and went to McDonalds instead for a gelato McFlurry as I was sure the tiramisu would disappoint as well, really begrudged paying the service charge as well. Would not recommend and wish I had took a picture now

Sure, the location is good, Food was great, but I will go back any time to see Tina. Not only did she mix amazing drinks, but she was funny, attentive and made us feel like she actually enjoyed having us there. We went back as often as we could during our stay. I even stopped off to tell her goodbye! I feel like she became one of the girls during our girls trip weekend. See you soon, Tina!

Visited after a show at Madison Square Garden.... a 5 minute walk on 8th. Located in the Hotel New Yorker. Very well prepared and presented fare. Tasty sauces. Very friendly staff. Lemon sorbet wih berries out of this world! Reasonable.

We tried this restaurant at our recent stop in NYC with our four teens. What a great restaurant! We felt so welcome and the staff was extremely friendly. We tried out the cesar salad, ribs, rib eye, pasta and snitzel. Everything was delicious and came in large portions so no-one left the place hungry. I can definitely recommend the place.

The restaurant is conveniently located near MSG. The service is great, and the food is very good. The overall experience is amazing. The nice part of this restaurant is that there is a full bar, and the bartender is very good at making good cocktails. If you are at an event at MSG look for this restaurant. If you are going before have a reservation as it does get crowded.

My wife and I ate dinner at the Trattoria Bianca. The atmosphere is very cosmopolitan and decor art deco (it adjoins the New Yorker which was build in the late 20's). The wait staff was very attentive. The bread served before our meals was very fresh and tasty. It was served with a hummus that was different and good tasting. I had a sausage risotto which incorporated spinach that was tasty and creamy (just like I like it). My wife had a pasta dish that had a bolognese sauce. My wife is a cook and she stated that it was one of the best tasting sauces that she has had. The pasta was made at the restaurant. The price of the meals was inexpensive for New York. We would go back.

Actually located the New Yorker (Wyndham) hotel on corner of 8th ave and 35th st. It does have a separate entrance from 8th ave or can access from hotel lobby but not great signage if walking up 8th avenue just looking for it without knowing actual address. has a bar that seats about 15 people. Good varied selection of food, plenty of apps, salads to choose from both appetizer and meal size. 5 entries each of both beef,seafood/shellfish and pasta. had pork, veal etc. also have burgers and pizza . 2 in party had salads, caesar with grilled shrimp, and roasted beet salad. both were good and enjoyed. also had a margharita pizza and new your strip. pizza was tasty and good size for one person to make meal out of. Steak was cooked to perfection. entree doesn't come with any sides but you can add a la carte. prices not to bad pizza -$19, beet salad - $13, caesar with grilled (jumbo) shrimp - $24. steak 12oz was $38. only criticism was waiter was off his game. didn't get approached after being seated for 10 minutes and then was ready to take our food order without even getting a drink order. we slowed him down and ordered drinks and then meal when he came back with drinks. place was not packed but that doesn't mean it was staffed properly for the level of customers so might not be the waiters fault. food came out promptly so no issues in the kitchen. food served by runners and the next time we saw the waiter was to stop him walking by to get the bill. again might just have caught him on bad night. would give 3 1/2 rating if possible but didn't want to go down to 3. would definitely come back again as overall experience good.

We had been disappointed with the service in most n.y. resturants until we came here. We were also sick of the same bar and grill type of food. The waitress was helpful and friendly and food was excellent. A large range from tuna to pizza to pasta. Also it's great there is an easy online booking system to book a table. It was so good we went back the next night! Highly recommended.

We enjoyed a very tasty dinner in a charming location! Crab cake and Caesar Salad, friendly service with a smile, nice and relaxed atmosphere! Highly recommended We will come back over and over again!

This is a very convenient restaurant close to Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. We liked the menu choices, and all in all the food was quite good. There was one glaring service issue that requires correction by management. Our early-Saturday evening reservation was honored immediately by our hostess. Several menus were handed out - two wine lists and one food menu. However, our server did not make his presence known for quite some time - probably ten minutes after we were seated. No one thought it necessary to ask if we wanted drinks first. He was less than cordial, a bit too stern for our liking. When the waiter did arrive, he was ready to quickly take entree orders without asking about drinks or recommending anything, suggesting appetizers, or offering anything from the bar. We were not in a hurry but went ahead and ordered everything at once, which is really unusual. Our wine and beer took quite a while to get to the table. Entrees were then served very quickly, almost too quickly. No one asked about additional drink orders, and I had to flag him down to ask for another. Everything else was fine, but if this were not as close to the Garden as it is, we would probably try something else next time because of the service.

Friendly staff who found us a table despite a concert being on and being booked (we hadn’t booked). Beautiful veal Milanese w fresh tasty salad. Husband had putanesca which was Alison very good. Choc fondue to share. Lovely meal and drinks, friendly staff and good food/drinks.

Is an ok restaurant , the food is normal for NY,staff is friendly , the restaurant is clean. they have a bar to seat and watch games, is a good place to go to have a drink and a meal, the food isn't amazing but still good.

My husband and I were short on time to grab a glass of wine and appetizers before a show at MSG. We stopped in and were told it would not be a problem and they were right. We had the meatballs (very good) and crab cake (great) with a large green salad and a glass of wine before we walked across the street for the show. I would go back for dinner for sure.

We decided to eat in this restaurant and what a mistake that was. We had our starters which were average and then decided on a pizza each. It was meant to be a Quattro formagio, I can honestly say this was the worst pizza I have ever had , saying that we both tried a slice each and because it was so awful we left it there. I did complain to the miserable server who deducted 19 dollars off the bill!!! Don’t bother eating at this restaurant it’s over priced and shocking!!!

Big Johnny and the misses had some wine and appetizers here before we saw the Billy Joel concert at MSG. We ordered the meatballs, get 4 for two people. They were very good. We also shared the crab cake and Arugala salad. This was plenty for two of us to have a relatively light dinner before the concert. The hotel stinks, but this little restaurant in the New Yorker Hotel is pretty good and the service is good and the waiter was very attentive. They seem to cater to the MSG crowd. There were also families with kids eating there and they have burgers and other American fare.

Excellent authentic Italian food. I enjoyed the lobster ravioli for my pasta course and scallops for the second course. Everything was delicious. The scallops in particular were cooked perfectly. My companion had classic spaghetti & meatballs and loved it. Good wine selection. Great service.

I wish I could rate this a big fat 0! This place does fraudulently activity Bought 3 drinks before going to the game ( a coors bottled beer, captain Morgan’s and coke and a whisky and coke) the man serving us didn’t break a smile, we sat at the bar and kept looking over like he wanted us to leave so he could watch the tv in the corner. When we asked for the bill he asked us to come to the till to pay he was very reluctant to give us a bill printed. We checked and no gratitude tip was on there but we were shocked at the price! 60.97USD !! For 3 drinks! I thought bugger if we will just pay it and leave as the man was already making me feel on edge. My mum went to pay she tried 3 times on her travel card and it wouldn’t work as was not debit- he wasn’t happy at this point , luckily i had my wise card and it went through and we left agreeing to never go again! The next morning I checked my bank statement and he had decided to change the amount to 80USD!!! Without consent! I am shocked and so annoyed as the day I checked it was when we were at the airport! I’ve tried to call- no one gets back to me so I am not awaiting the reply from my bank company as my refund! DISGRACE!!! Avoid at all costs unwell want to be scammed

WOW what a great place. The chicken Parmigiana was so good I can't wait to go back. My friends had the Linguini Marinara and the eggplant Parmigiana and were very happy. The restaurant is really nice as well as the staff. Whenever I shopped in the area I never found a restaurant where I would consider eating but now this is definitely my place to go. They have a fantastic menu.

We were wandering around midtown on Friday evening and were hungry. We went in to Trattoria Bianca at 35th and 8th Ave. without a reservation during the pre theater rush but were greeted warmly and seated in less than 30 minutes. Our server was rushed with the theater goers but we assured him we were in no hurry. He appreciated our patience and rewarded us with outstanding service. The food and wine are delicious and well priced for the location. We highly recommend Trattoria Bianca!

We did not eat here, only had nightcaps. Nice friendly atmosphere, that provides a convenient place to catch a nightcap for those staying at the New Yorker. Prices as to be expected from a hotel bar in a central city location.

OK, so the review's title gives the game away: my disgruntlement stems from the complimentary starter we were given. We had ordered our intended meals, and our drinks had arrived. A few minutes later, a bowl with food of some kind in it was placed in the middle of the table by our waitress - no words of explanation. Some five minutes later, the waitress had failed to re-appear, so we asked the passing hostess what the bowl's contents were. She explained that it was a home-made chick pea / hummus style dip. She then asked if we had been served bread to accompany it. When we said no, she went off to arrange delivery of said bread. Another five minutes passed, and then our waitress appeared and placed a basket of (very nice, it must be said) bread on the table. She enquired about further drinks, took our order, and left. When the drinks came after another five minutes, we had consumed most of the dip (it was quite good, to be honest, and we ate it by scooping the mixture up with pieces of broken up bread, using our forks if necessary). The waitress looked at the table, realised something was wrong, and returned a couple of minutes later with side plates for us!! So, after what must have been approaching 20 minutes, we had our dip, bread, and side plates - except that we'd very nearly finished the dip!! Not the kind of service level expected of a place deep in the centre of Mahattan, that is attached to a smart hotel (The New Yorker), and deeply disappointing. It must also be said that the restaurant was very busy as we arrived, but half empty by the time we had placed our food orders (no, we do not have that effect usually!!). The number of staff seemed to be coping very well with the full house, but then lost interest when the rush died down - I did not see any reduction in the waiting staff levels between our arrival and our departure. So we felt somewhat let down by this episode. But it could have been worse, I suppose. The rest of our meals were good food-wise, but nothing special at the price we paid so I would not suggest that there was anything special about this place at all - apart from its location. However, the service level was let down again as my meal was served - my choice had been for a steak (cooked excellently, it must be said) with a side of mashed potato and a peppercorn sauce to accompany it. Both the potatoes and sauce were presented in their own little bowl - with no serving spoons!! I had to ask for the cutlery to allow me to transfer the potatoes and sauce onto my plate, and this should have been automatic. Perhaps the dishes should not have even been allowed out of the kitchen without being fully ready for serving. Recommended? Your choice. Would I return? No, I think not.

We dined with another couple before a Billy Joel concert. The portions were rather small, but everything was very well done. I would also say that the menu was a little limited. Everything was priced fairly for a Manhattan restaurant.

Easily the worst service we encountered on our recent trip to NYC, and by some way. Food was average. The restaurant had been recommended to us by friends so I guess it must be ok some of the time but certainly not when we went. We got a seat reasonably quickly, then waited, and waited and waited. They were quite busy at the start and we weren’t in a rush so we didn’t make a fuss. But it became ridiculous. Eventually our order was taken (albeit after some other people who had arrived after us and well over 30 minutes after our arrival). No water was offered or served. We asked for some. It was 'on its way' apparently. More waiting. Eventually the glasses of wine appeared. This was at least 15 minutes after we'd ordered. We asked for water again. Still 'on its way'. Only after the third time of asking did it appear. How difficult is it to bring some water? We waited some more, and more, and more. By this time the restaurant had emptied. The food (2 straightforward pasta dishes) eventually appeared - well over 1 hour after we'd come in. Sort of dumped on the table. No apology for the delay then or indeed at any stage. No refill of water offered. No check to see if everything was ok. Even trying to get the check in a reasonable timescale was a challenge. Why was the service so bad? We have no idea. We certainly hope it wasn’t casual sexism on the part of the older male waiter because we were two women. But on the basis of this performance there is no way we could recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Went with my wife for dinner ordered the Veal Francaise and my wife Fish The meals were totality different, The fish course was excellent whereas the veal was not good at all. It was very sloppy and undercooked this may be the way the locals like it but not the way we serve it in Europe.

Three guys came in to see a Nets game and decided to eat beforehand. So we checked nearby and found this great restaurant with a varied menu and good cocktails, New York Style! We all went with seafood, scallops and such, and it was great! We finished up just in time to to head over to the the Garden for the game! It was a perfect combination and I highly recommend it!

Tonight is our last night in NYC and this is our 3rd occasion to dine here as we are staying at The New Yorker Hotel. The staff, the service and the quality of the meals have been absolutely first class. I congratulate everyone involved with Trattoria Bianca

Made an early reservation for night of Billy Joel concert. Was seated immediately, had to wait longer than usual for a server even though the restaurant wasn't yet busy. Limited menu on MSG event nights. Meatball appetizer was delicious! Entrees came too quickly after the app course. Not enough sauce on the pasta dish my husband ordered. Wine was good, server a little distracted and not as attentive as expected, but it did get extremely busy all at once, and most guests were going to the concert. Will go again for convenience and quality of the food.

We recently visited this restaurant while staying at The New Yorker in NYC. The service is excellent and the food is delicious and high quality. We had the calamari as an appetizer and it was great. There was so much, we were full and didn’t order anything else.

Usually we think twice about a restaurant associated with a hotel.... typically a last resort when dining.... however, we were tired from a day of sightseeing. We stayed at the Wyndham New Yorker, and this restaurant is “next door”, with a doorway available in the hotel’s main lobby. Wow, were we thrilled with the service we received, as well as the food and drinks. It was a wonderful way to end our day, and our final night in NYC!

I really enjoyed eating here (good thing I was on a business trip and could expense it by eating light though out the day until dinner). The first night, I had an amazing steak selection from their entree specials. So good. It came with mashed potatoes with olives in it....did not think I'd like it but wow...what a great combination. I may have to try it at home! The second night I had the grilled scallops. Again, amazing. It came with a veggie lasagna. The service was great. Not sure what my waitress's name was but the second night she sat me in her section again as the hostess was busy with a phone call. There was a concert in town that night so they were really busy. If you want to try them and you have a few people to be seated, you may want to call ahead.

The food was good and the service excellent; friendly attentive and good humoured, though perhaps helped that it wasn't packed. So good we returned!

We booked on Open Table and arrived hungry having done a decent NYC tour. We had eaten at Juniors for 2 nights of our stay and wanted a change. The starters were decent, we had the Caesar Salad, a soup, rice balls, Mozzarella and Tomato. Everything bar the Caesar was fine the leaves had seen better days. Main courses were a bit of a let down the New York Strip Stead had been cut up into small strips and laid on top of veg. Too salty and quite frankly medium to well done meant cremated to the point there was a crust on some of the steak pieces. Chicken Pesto was very heavy sauce and the pasta did not feel fresh. Linguine was again very heavy sauce. My preferred Italian pasta sauces are light and tasty these were heavy they did not flow the consistency was more like a paste than a sauce. Ice cream was served in a thimble - say no more on this point. The price - far too much for what we got - way too much - automatically added a $30 tip to our bill - now remember no alcohol here and a bill of almost $230 Would we go back? I don't think so - not for us - perhaps it is for you.

Very nice and friendly host followed by a wonderful server. He almost guessed our wine preference and had good suggestions when asked for advice on menu items. The good was very good and priced reasonably. If you are at the New Yorker or in the area I would recommend it.

We stayed at the New Yorker hotel for 5 nights with our two teenage sons, this restaurant is within the hotel. We ate here every night, as the food, staff and setting were all excellent. We tried the pizzas, pasta (great carbonara), Caesar salad, ribs, garlic fries (a must, best fries we have ever had). Then the desserts, if you like tiramisu they serve up a great one here, very light as all good desserts should be. Can’t recommend this restaurant enough and it’s happy hour everyday from 12pm to 6.30pm, so we would aim to be there for 5-5.30 for a couple of pre dinner drinks and then ordered our food later. When we are next in New York we will be back here without a doubt.

I am in town solo traveling for business and thought I would grab a drink here. Ended up staying for dinner, but wish I hadn’t. Stood at hostess area for at least 5 minutes before anyone even greeted me. Sat, ordered, received food, no one ever checked in on me. I ordered the cheese tortellini which was really good so that saved the place a bit.

We read reviews and stopped for dinner. José was very helpful even though he was extremely BUSY. Bread arrives with a three tier dipping bowl- pine nut paste with roasted tomato purée in olive oil. Add a glass wine and call it dinner. Rissoto with brocolini was excellent. Green salad came with Parmesan shavings and crisps. Meatballs and sauce were very tasty. Best of all, two dinners and wine cost the same as two salads we had for lunch at a different place.

The food was excellent. Service by Dana, impeccable! We had a great time! The place is very clean, casual. Perfect for relaxing after a busy day visiting beautiful New York City.

Our history with restaurants that are within a hotel is not good, but we decided to try this one anyway. Located next to the Windham Hotel, the majority of the clientele appeared to be tourists like us. The atmosphere was modern. The menu was varied, portions average, and prices New York high for the offerings. The meals were well presented and tasty but nothing exceptional. Service was friendly and polished, but not hurried. All in all a nice, but pricey meal.

This was our second time dining here before a Madison Square Garden concert. It's a lovely Art Deco restaurant with a great menu, good service, and nice ambiance. We enjoyed delicious tomato basil soup, and I had, for the second time, a fantastic ricotta gnocchi over short ribs and gravy served in a covered crock pot. My guy had delicious scallops. The drinks were a decent pour, and the waiter was most attentive. Prices were reasonable for this caliber of restaurant, (though definitely not cheap). I had to take half my food home! We had no room for dessert. This is a definite go-back-to restaurant!

Found this place while walking on 8th street. It's low-key but nice. We enjoyed their beet salad especially.

Nice Italian restaurant with sufficient choice in dishes, pastas and pizza. Appropriate for a quick bit but also for a more complex dining experience. Correct service by the helpful staff

We had drinks there but it was very busy and the food that was being served to others looked very nice , if we hadn’t have been flying home we would have eaten there . Handy for people staying in the New Yorker hotel.

Had a party booking for 6 of us tonight. The venue were so flexible as we had booked via Opentable and had to change the times due to the weather The food was amazing the beef lasagne was beautiful, and washed down with the Californian Merlot. Would recommend even when they are busy

The food was very good and so are the prices. We were here on Saturday July 7 for lunch. We ordered off the lunch special menu and both of us had the Mussels Frite one with Field Greens and the other had Shrimp Bisque Soup. Each lunch special is $15.95 each. The bottle of Malbec was $39.00 great price for midtown. Our waiter Dimitri was very attentive and was also very happy and fun to talk too. Came back again on Wednesday 8/8/18 for dinner; had Broiled Sea Scallops $26.00 and the Veal Milanese $24.00. Both dishes were excellent! The veal milanese portion is enough for 2 people. Again ordered the Malbec @$39.00. Will be back again!

The restaurant is by the lobby of The New Yorker Hotel, accesible from the hotel. The food is great, and the service is very good. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting; you can have a relaxed, satisfying meal there.

Whilst the wine, as with everywhere in NYC I suppose, is very expensive here the one we chose was a very good balance with the nice food that was served. The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant and our server Donna looked after us well enough. I would recommend this place over others in the area most of which we ate at during our time there.

An absolute wonderful experience at this restaurant in the Madison square garden vicinity. Hostess greeting - wonderful Waitress greeting - wonderful Service - wonderful Atmosphere- wonderful Prices are very reasonable. Menu included many traditional Italian entrees plus wood fired pizza, soups, salads & delicious desserts. Full bar with many wine selections.

Very enjoyable meal extremely well priced with great service. We shared 2 early bird specials which was really a good deal. Food was very plentiful and very good. Not that fancy but not expensive a real good buy .

Stopped in for a night cap and paid $8.00 for a bottle of coors, a bit steep I thought till I looked at the menu, dear god!!

Dined here on a lively Friday night before a concert at MSG. Shared burrata & prosciutto and chicken avocado Caesar salad for appetizers - both delicious. Everyone's pasta was delicious and came out piping hot! The short rib cannelloni was a fan fav, along with the chicken pesto mezze rigatoni. Love the lighted wine/cocktail list, very cool! Service started off very good, but as the restaurant got busier service dwindled and waited a long time to order dessert. The dark chocolate ganache cake was good though.

We checked in late so went to the restaurant adjacent to our hotel lobby. It has a nice ambiance and a bar with a TV. Our waiter recommended chicken saltimboca, and it was delicious--juicy chicken, great sauce and fresh herbs. Fresh French bread too.

This terrific restaurant is in The New Yorker Hotel. We had a wonderful lunch with many choices. It has a quiet ambience that allows for conversation. We had a wonderful wait person. Our salads were fresh and crisp. The sandwiches were huge. There is a full bar and good wine choices. We really enjoyed our lunch.

What appears to be a nice italian restaurant near Times Square is really more of a converted diner in line with Olive Garden fare. Had a very tasteless branzino entree but at least the eggplant stack appetizer was decent. I don't think I'd return.

This was conveniently located in our hotel so ate there twice. The menu was varied and the early dinner deal $23 for 3 courses was fantastic value. The style of the restaurant is very 30s New York

We had a table reserved for 4 at this restaurant for a business meeting. Upon arrival the usher showed us to our table in the back where it was cozy and quiet. We sat down and were right away served by 2 waiters. There were 2 menus, a prefix and regular .We pick our food from the prefix menu, because you get a free desert with that. I got the fish dish (halibut) with shrimp bisque as appetizer. The appetizer was served shortly after . The waiters are very prompt and not overwhelming. They are in constant eye contact from a distance or when passing by in case you need their attention, which is a good thing to experience. The rest of the party enjoyed their meal like I did and the meeting was a fruitful one with good deals closed. Is a good place to have talks over a good meal where you can hear one another very well in a low voice. Drinks can be ordered from the bar if needed. I highly recommend this place. It will make your meeting , date or any gathering go smoothly.

April 5th. Miserable rainy day but we carried on with our sightseeing walking for miles taking in the sights. Feeling like a much needed rest and some lunch we came across this restaurant. We all opted for the fixed menu which was great value for money. We all enjoyed what we ordered. The elderly Gentleman who was our waiter was fabulous so friendly and helpful. Would recommend this restaurant for a nice easy going relaxed lunch.

Great experience. The surf & turf was perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. Friendly service and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended.

The best part of our meal was our waiter. Since we were in no rush, he paced the meal nice and slow. My husband enjoyed the filet mignon and I had the broiled scallops. Both dinners were good and the prices were not unreasonable for Midtown Manhattan. Of course, the Ketel-1 martinis were excellent. If you are in the area, definitely stopped by for a meal.

I was not expecting very much from a restaurant attached to a hotel, but this place blew me away. We ate there 4 times. The scallops, both in the risotto and the braised, were top notch. When in New York, will certainly eat there again.

The food was fresh, waiter was just wonderful we will be back! We had the Mussels Frite @$15.95ea which came with Field Greens or soup. A bottle of Malbec was $39.00. The prices are very reasonable.

Reservations recommended, a busy place right off the lobby of The New Yorker hotel. Excellent menu, lots of options, well served. We ate dinner there one night, and lunch another day. Will definitely go there in 2020 when we next visit.

My friends and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Trattoria Bianca! Welcoming atmosphere, great food, attentive waitstaff. My friends thoroughly enjoyed the Spaghetti Marinara with meatballs. I ordered the Cheese Tortellini Gratinati, and it was beyond delicious! My friend raved about the Watermelon Margarita! We will definitely return here on our next trip to the City.

We came here before a Foo Fighters show at MSG (1 block away) at the New Yorker Hotel. A small bright room with a full bar. We were early for our 5pm reservation so the place was not crowded at all and we were seated immediately. The staff was very nice, especially our server, Dana. We weren't in a rush and Dana was very patient. Didn't keep bothering us, asking if we were ready to order every minute. We ordered a thin crust margherita pizza which, frankly, wasn't all that great and smaller than anticipated. If you're visitng NYC go to a local pizza joint instead. The rest of the food though was very good. The eggplant stack and veal piccatta were excellent. We would certainly come back next time we visit "The Garden"

The restaurant offer high quality european food wines an dessert..I taste meet very well cooked and with a great red wine recommended by the multilingual greek waiter,, great .. and also the tiramisu

We are here on a Monday night, just before 8:00. Food was good, as was the beer and wine but the service was poor. A quiet night but no-one came near us once we’d ordered. Forgot to bring our bottle of wine and then slopped my wife’s over the table. Bill came with “included gratuity” - I paid this reluctantly but if I had a little more time, I’d have taken this off due to lack of attention / care.

Two dinners here. The calamari appetizer is good, the scallops excellent. Not impressed with their offerings of wine by the glass, but the wine I did choose was quite good. Good service. Convenient to Madison Square Garden.

We were on a family trip and wanted somewhere close that served Italian food. We found this restaurant on line. Food and service were both good. The choices were wide enough for a big group. Good Italian food.

Had a good quality fixed price three course dinner which was well cooked and fair value. Service was a little disjointed and drinks were expensive

We ate here three times on a trip in 2014 and it is still the same menu and prices this time. Great service and excellent food. Definitely worth a visit for a great dining experience.

Very fast and friendly service. The food was excellent and a varied menu. Must make reservations, which are honored within minutes. Prices are reasonable for Manhattan. There is selections for vegans. We were very happy with this restaurant and left feeling full.

My husband and I ate here while in New York. The food was very nice. Quite big portions so we only managed to share a dessert. The staff were very friendly and helpful

Strolling around for a place for an early dinner, we settled on this nice corner restaurant. Didn't look to busy, they asked if we had reservations, which we didn't, but they were able to seat us right away. Nice bar and selection. Ordered appetizers and salads. I think it was the best Chicken Caesar Salad I ever had. We also had shrimp cocktail, large good shrimp, rice balls and my wife had a beet salad. Food and service was slow but we were in no hurry and it was worth it. Didn't realize till seated that this was one of the restaurants attached to the New Yorker Hotel.

The personal were friendly and kind. The menu offer rich. I appreciate the reccomendation of waiters. The food was good. Big portion. If you take a starter and a main menu, seems too much. Egg plant was delicios cooked. The tiramisu was not so creamy as I expect.

Great service and lovely menu, just a nice atmosphere, also has a bar if you didn’t want a meal. They do a mean cosmopolitan!

In the last December, I visited Trattoria Bianca twice, on Xmas eve and on New year's eve and I had in both occasions a wonderful experience. First of all, the location is quite perfect: it's on the 8th Avenue near Penn Station. The area is crowded but not as much as Times Square. As for the menu, you have a lot of choice and everything you order is big and very tasty. You can find pasta, pizza, fish, meat and appetizers!!! The stuff is kind, funny and polite (they really deserve the gratuity). The place is clean and there is also a lounge bar inside. I really recommend this restaurant!!! Ohhh and last but not least: prices are affordable!!! You can have an abundant meal with 20 dollars or less.

We have been here 3 times during our stay at the New Yorker - ask for Tina if you come Service is impeccable - best old fashion my husband had in NYC Blue drink is finding Nemo - so fun Food is great and fast 👍🏼 Did I mention their drink menu lights up 🤩

We have dined here numerous times and never been disappointed. The decor is kind of Art Deco-y, with gorgeous posters all over. Their menu had changed, and I had been looking forward to their delicious short ribs served in a crock with mashed potatoes on top. The waiter informed us they changed their menu from time to time. I had to “suffer” with the lamb shanks over rice pilaf and veggies. Wonderful! My guy and I shared an app of terrific meatballs. (Great sauce). He ordered a burger and fries, but not just a burger, a HUGE BURGER! Tender beef done perfectly as ordered, portobello mushrooms, cheese, crispy fried onions, lettuce and tomato. The waiter was kind of unfriendly. Last time, the waiter was great. This guy’s service was just OK. For dessert we shared an apple tart with vanilla gelato. Yum! If you’re going to The Garden, or Hulu Theater—we were—it’s the place to eat!

We ate here twice whilst staying at The New Yorker hotel. It was just convenient for our first night in NY especially as our young daughters were tired but food was so nice we returned a second time. First time we had pizza, Caesar salad and children’s menu. The children’s chicken and fries was huge! Could easily fed both my daughters. My eldest left with a happily full tummy. The second time I had the carbonara and it was easily the best I have ever had! My fav meal while in NYC. Would definitely recommend it to anyone. On both visits we received great service. Fast and attentive with friendly staff. Will definitely be returning next time we visit NYC n will recommend to friends too.

We ate here twice while staying at the New Yorker for a few nights. The food (Salad one night, Pizza the other) was delicious, and the service, was always friendly although sometimes a little slow.

We had tix to a concert at MSG and walked a few blocks and stumbled upon Trattoria Bianca. Didn't realize it is connect to the New Yorker hotel. Everything was delicious from the friendly server, to the attentive service to the delicious food. We had prosciutto pizza, rigatoni with pesto, risotto, shank with orzo. Wouldn't hesitate to go again when looking for a quiet restaurant to sit down, not rush and enjoy a good meal before a concert.

We had one dinner in this restaurant. The food was reasonably priced and they did have a 3 course special for under $25.00. They had happy hour every day at the bar which was good after a long day of site seeing or shopping

Pretend Italian restaurant. the dishes are traditional, but there is much to improve.

At 5pm on a Tues, we decide to eat here. It was packed! The hostess looked concerned that we didn't have a reservation. She was able to seat us within 5 mins though. I think we got the last table. Servers were very busy and didn't want to or have time to chat. Food was good. Crab cake burger seemed to be a hit at our table. Everything else was just okay. I wouldn't pick this as a place to revisit, but others at the table liked it slightly better than myself. Nothing was wrong, it just wasn't out of this world.

Were delighted to come across this restaurant as a pre-concert option so close to Madison Square Garden. From the moment we walked in the door we felt the excellent customer service - we were greeted warmly and seated in a section serviced by a wonderful waiter - he was everything you would want in an Italian restaurant. Food and drinks were all good - we actually took the waiter's suggestions and were not disappointed. Typical NYC prices, but the service, quality and location are worth every dollar. Will be back again!
Great food
Had a fantasic meal here on Christmas Day, food was excellent and the service was warm and friendly.
