Restaurant closed for Memorial Day when we visited, so went to the cafe. Reasonably priced food and drink. Visit the roof top garden, open to the public and soak up the atmosphere.

We went here to have a look at Trump Tower which was interesting to see and we ended up having lunch here on our last day but wished we had found it earlier. The salad bar was amazing and everything looked so fresh. The hot food also looked good and the cakes were great. We were pleasantly surprised how reasonably priced everything was considering the location and surroundings. This really is a hidden gem if you want reasonably priced good fresh food in nice surroundings. I would definitely recommend it.

I have been to this restaurant at least 8 times for their price fixe lunch. The restaurant is down the escalator and to the left in the corner. The decor is very comforting. Mahogany walls and fine dining linens and tableware. The price fixe lunch ranges around $21 for appetizer, entree, and dessert. The meal is high quality and very flavorful. I highly recommend the pasta. Great for a lunch meeting, lunch date, or just alone for a relaxing experience. The service is outstanding.

I was part of a tour group of about 50 people who visited Trump Cafe for dinner. As this was part of a tour I didn't have any choice about eating here because I certainly would not have picked this restaurant and didn't appreciate the bumper stickers that were handed out to our group after the meal. That being said the ice cream and the caesar salad were the best part of the buffet meal. The steak was very tough and the chicken and pasta were okay, nothing special. We were not allowed refills on our soft drinks, only water. Maybe the other food options are better but we only the choice of the buffet.

my family and i visited Trump cafe for lunch during the holiday season. The food was very good and not expensive. I had the fresh organic turkey sandwich which was one of the best i ever had and my daughter order the NY style pastrami which also was very good. I will definitely go back when in the area.

The whole experience was surprisingly good. The architecture was impressive. Although the restaurant area was small, as was its menu. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the food was very good. Worth a visit

We put politics aside for the day, at least most of us did and sat in the Trump Cafe for a bite. Very clean and organized. Everything thing about it just oozed in details. The staff are informative and well trained. Once you get past the security, you are treated with respect and like they are there for you.

Nice surroundings, although a little stuck in the eighties. Ordered what we thought was a chicken sandwich, got a crispy chicken burger and fries. Burger wasn't nice and fries were overcooked. Coffee wasn't hot either. Waited 15 mins for food once ordered but wish we hadn't bothered. Not recommended.

Been a couple of years since I have been here so decided to give it another shot. The food was awful and barely edible. Hamburger came cold and was tasteless. The atmosphere was bit pretentious and service was mediocre at best. There are so many wonderful places to eat around here- skip this place and check out other NYC establishments.

Breakfast special is the best value on Fifth Avenue Midtown. Great place to people watch, with all of the Secret Service, politicos, and other security people catching coffee and food.

The Trump Tower is a dream came true. Its pink marble walls are stunning and the Trump Cafe, which is on the basement ,is a kind of paradise in the hectic Manhattan. The food is delicious and well prepared . There are a variety of classic dishes, which you can eat comfortably seated looking at the garden and the artificial cascade .Lovely place!!

Went there to see what it was all about and where everybody was bragging so much about. Not recommended. No ambience. food was so-so and expensive. Service was good though

First of all I want to thank the guard for letting my friend take her picture with him. There’s NYPD stationed outside and going in you have to go through security check like you’re at the airport. On the lower level is where the cafe and the store is. We went here for dessert. It’s a very casual place! It wasn’t crowded when we went. Price is very reasonable! Was expecting to pay more thinking that Trump brand would be ridiculously expensive! Paid $45 for 2 coffees and 2 bottled water and 4 slices of pastry/cake. I’d say all the pastry/cake we ordered were all delicious especially the carrot cake!

Trump Cafe is located in thr garden level of Trump Tower on 5th Street and 5th Ave in NYC. There are many options of salads, burgers, pizza and hot food. Everything is average tasting and the prices are unreasonable but you are able to eat there and watch a beautiful indoor water fall. In their defense everything in that area is costly. Very nice decor througout. Nice to stop by and visit if in the area.

We visited here for lunch. The sandwiches were made to order and the quality and freshness were perfect. The prices were great. Large sandwiches for only $8. But what I noticed most was the friendly staff. People went out of their way to talk to you and ask questions, from the cashier to the bus boy. Highly recommend for quick meal.

We made a visit to the Trump Tower Cafe on recommendation. Worth a visit if your in the area and it definitely has the wow factor.

Just walking into the gold doors of the building is breath-taking. The waiter was super nice & friendly. From a party of 6 ordering different things, everyone said they had the better choice, needless to say, we were all pleased. The coffee was great as well!! It's a must!

We have eaten here a number of times and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is beautiful and calming. The staff are amazing. First you are greeted by the sweetest hostess Sherry, then the waitstaff take over and make you feel like you are as important as a Trump. :) Great food, decent prices for NYC. Will visit every time I'm in the City.

We were surprised by the amount of security around and in the building. The food is okay and moderately priced. Staff were helpful and friendly.

My family and I stopped in here on July1 ,2017 just to see the lobby of the famous Trump Tower and while we were inside discovered the café. The food looked very nice plus you can pick what you want. They have made to order salads, burgers, and lighter fare plus full entrees should you desire. I had a salad made the way I want and it was very good. My wife and kids enjoyed it too. Lunch for everyone was $40 and not the cheapest but it was very good. If you want a sit down style restaurant with table service there is also one there too.

Family ate lunch here on a Saturday before Christmas. Food was ok, just a buffet line of hot food, sandwiches, and a real NYC bargain especially for vegetarians - a fresh small salad with choice of 3 add-in ingredients for $5. Plenty of available clean tables and overall a decent place to recharge before going back out to the crowded streets!

The food was excellent. The place was clean and the service was top notch. All of the wait staff were smiling and genuinely seemed happy to be there. You felt good about leaving a big tip because the employees actually earn it.

I loved visiting Trump Tower, however, breakfast was such a disappointment. I ordered avocado toast which looked like something a child had put together. It it served in cheap paper boxes and coffee comes in a paper cup but you pay the same as if you were in a posh restaurant! It was utterly disgusting and everything went in the bing.

We had such a good time and the food was very reasonably priced. The Waitress was absolutely lovely and was very smiley as were all the staff. The quality of the food and drink was very good so much so we ate there instead of the hotel. It was a short walk and the facilities were spotless and very attractive. I would thoroughly recommend this Cafe to anyone even Vegetarian customers.

While in New York, my family and I wanted to stop at the historic Trump Tower. There are two restaurants in Trump Tower. The cafe is the one with cheaper food. You get to sit in the beautiful atrium and eat after you order. This is by far the best place to eat in New York for the price.

Although we only had hot cocoa and coffee, they also had cakes that looked good and some Panini... but how much can you eat?!

Expect a bag search by the Secret Service for obvious reasons on entry! The outstanding feature of the this building is the waterfall - very unique and pleasant. The cafe is decent and the prices are reasonable, and the location is good for a rest after shopping on 5th Avenue. Worth a stop off for 30 minutes or so for a coffee

It's good to go there if you want to experience our new President's tower. It's nice and very clean, well decorated for Christmas. We had to pass security to get in which was not bad at all. To go the cafe you need to take escalator downstairs. We ordered hamburger and staff gave us a device to let us know when the food was ready. The burger size was like mini burger but tasted good. I guess this is normal price for the food in NYC.

I was visiting a client across the street from Trump tower and it was 12:30 and I needed a quick lunch to go. So I ventured into Trump Tower not expecting to find a reasonable eatery. There was 5 cops at the entrance fully loaded with what looked like machine guns. My portfolio went thru a metal detector but was not asked to empty my pockets or give up my cell phone. I found the Trump Cafe on the 1 level below the lobby level. It's deli counter style with a hot food, sandwich and salads section. I went to salad section and ordered spinach salad which comes with 3 free additions. The sever gave me an extra addition since it was Valentine's Day. There are 3 sizes and I chose the medium size and it was packed with my salad. The best was the price which was only $7 which included taxes. The salad was chopped and everything tasted very fresh. I highly recommend if you are in the area at lunchtime and looking for a bargain priced lunch which is rare in this neighborhood.

The staff got our order wrong so our breakfast ended up being cold. Was really surprised that everything was served in plastic containers and disposable. So bad for the environment and not what you would expect in that sort of cafe. Wouldn't go again.

Went to trump towers on Saturday lunch time, and saw a cafe and thought we get a bite to eat whilst there The hospitality we got from the server (young girl with baseball on) was not what you would expect Very rude, not smiling, no eye contact, rolling her eyes at people and walked off whilst taking my order and asked someone else to do it , so rude. I asked for the cheese burger from the menu, and was replied with we don’t do that anymore! Time to update menu I went to ask for a napkin and there was a second young girl looked liked just starting or back from a break rolled down her mask and put lipstick on next to where food is Prepared, lovely NOT The food was good , Xmas tree nice But please cheer up acknowledge your customers

I always enjoy stopping at the Trump Tower to eat lunch at the cafe. they have a pre fixe lunch that is really good and reasonable. 3 course for $25. Their cobb salad is divine too!

Popped in to Trump Tower hoping to see some tacky interiors but once we saw past the wall to wall marble and the occasional bronze metallic like wall it was disappointingly pleasant. We stopped for a drink in the cafe which was reasonably priced and had friendly staff. The shops in the tower did not fail us in our quest for tacky items though, worth a visit alone for them.

Perfect for a sit down and a lunch break in an iconic building while you are walking around New York. Good range of food choices and surprisingly cheap! You can even buy Trump water! Check out the Trump shop too!!

I had a business meeting here in November 2015. I got a chocolate milkshake at the ice cream station. Although there was food nearby, I was not hungry enough to eat. The Trump Café was adequate for a 30-minute business meeting. There was a waterfall with pink marble behind it. The acoustics were OK although the waterfall made some noise. I just missed seeing Trump himself who had been in the lobby two hours before with an entourage of secret service agents.

We visited Trump Tower on 5th Avenue for two purposes: to say we had been in Trump Tower, and to get something hot to drink as it was very cold outside. There is three or four story high water feature and gives a soothing sound. We found the servers in the cafe area to be friendly and helpful. Mr. Trump knows how to build a business and to please customers. Each person at the kiosks who we spoke with were knowledgeable of their products and were most helpful. The inside of the building is gorgeous. It is a pleasing place to sit and eat and listen to the water feature in the background. Will definitely go back next trip to NYC.

Great service, great meal! Service was great. Was neat being in Trump Tower, eating and shopping in the little gift shop! We had lots of fun. Wish Trump had been in town!

My tour group had a reserved dinner at the Trump Cafe and the food was very substandard. We had a buffet with minimal choices, lukewarm, but the most disappointing was a piece of stale white sandwich bread. So disappointing for the whole group!

You would expect from the Trump name something more elegant or refine.........I think probably this is one of his property that offer ...little of the Trump quality ,and its to bad since its in the middle of a great city like Manhattan .

On Dec. 20, following a visit to the Frick Collection on E. 70th and 5th Ave., we enjoyed a very satisfying lunch break at the Trump Cafe! The cafe is located in the garden level of the Trump Tower on 5th Ave. and in addition to its appealing water feature and very attractive marble walls and flooring, the space was beautifully decorated for the holiday season. We greatly enjoyed our generously packed tuna salad sandwiches and our garden salads! Undoubtedly, you'll experience a swarm of 'protesters' at the entrance to Trump Tower during this election cycle, but don't let that deter you from enjoying a lovely lunch break at the Trump Cafe!

Choose the happy hours to go there. Discounted cocktails, martinis, wines and beers. Great service as you expect in a place like this.

First trip to NYC and had to give this place a try. We were not disappointed. The food was good, the atmosphere was great, the service was great. What more could you ask for - give it a try.

Once you had managed to get in, it was nice to have a look around and in from the cold weather outside in March. The price of the cafe was good, I was very surprised and with live music from a band and school visiting Trump Towers. Burger and fries were good.

Visiyed for cake and coffee. Lots of variety in dishes on offer. Dad had the soup of the day which was delicious. Lovely setting with a huge waterfall background. Hot and cold meals, crisps and various cakes available. Next door was the grill which was offering a three course meal for $23 including tax.

Decided to go inside and have a look because we could. Very surprised it was open to public. Although there was a lot of security of course. We had a Beef Sandwich which we choose which bread we wanted. The sandwich was packed about 2cm deep with sliced beef and a selection of salad price $7. The coffee was also the best we had in New York and probably the cheapest.

Beautiful building. Delicious food. Not very crowded. Restaurant was elegant and food was very good. We ordered the Trump burger and chicken protein bowl.

Very nice environment, cheap food, no rip-offs, very attentive staff. The sandwiches are particularly recommended. Coffee is great and cheap.

Not the place to go if you want anything authentic or satisfactory. Food ranges from mediocre and uninspired to downright awful. Do yourself a favor and eat anywhere else.

A few months ago my French wife and I decided to stroll through Trump Tower -- and we found a sign labelled "prix fix" in the entry. $25 -- pretty good price so we came downstairs and were greeted by Sherri, the hostess and immediately were seated at a table near the bar. We studied the menu and I decided upon the hamburger and a glass of world vintage Trump red wine. The hamburger was great (super fries as well) as was the house salad and chocolate dessert. We returned this past week to once again be greeted by Sherri. We love this place!

Some of the other reviews are not of the Trump Cafe. The Cafe has no waiters. It is a buffet line of overpriced, below average food. There is no "price fixe" here. That is in the restaurant next to it. The Cafe used to be dependable for a decent meal, but for the past few years it has gone down hill-- and the prices have gone up. I used to depend on a decent sized salad with great toppings, such as marinated artichoke hearts, mozzarella and tomatoes, etc. Now the salad is smaller, the price higher and the fixings are the likes of peas, olives, cucumbers, etc. Not only expensive (which is what I would expect in NYC at Trump Towers) but it is boring. I had fish and chips instead for St. Patrick's Day and the fries were ice cold and soggy. The one piece of fish was old and "fishy"--not fresh. I couldn't eat it. The batter was cold and soggy with grease. Difficult to believe that Trump would put his name on this Cafe. Again, the "wow" reviews already given are NOT for Trump Cafe. This is ONLY a buffet line--no waiters etc.

Something different to do.. visiting the world of extreme wealth. We enjoyed the beautiful waterfall and a nice lunch that wasn't too expensive - also some starbucks - looked everywhere for their store as I was interested in buying a baby outfit but couldn't locate it! Worth the experience.

Good food at a very reasonable price for Manhattan. Well worth a visit not just for the food but to view the vast array of Trump merchandise on sale.

I always make it a point when in NYC to stop by and see my friends, the Brody's in Trump Tower so we can can go to Trump Cafe for lunch. I love the Taco Bowl they serve. The meat is seasoned perfectly, throw some extra cheese on the top of it and its a perfect lunch. Break the taco, scoop up the meat and cheese for a mouth watering taste. Never change this dish its simple and awesome!

We had spent a HOT morning in Central Park and were looking forward to cooling off for lunch. The Trump Cafe had great options of salads, sandwiches, and other entrees. I opted for a make-your-own salad (like a salad bar but the staff make it based on your choices) and my husband had a salad and sandwich. Everything was delicious and fresh and the service was excellent. Both had soft drinks and it was just over $30 - very reasonable for NYC. The Cafe wasn't too busy which gave us a nice break from the crowds on 5th Avenue.

This cafe is part of what is now a rather tired building/experience. Stale Red Velvet Cake and awful coffee does not make for a thrilling experience.

Once you get past the security and the gaudy decor, the food is disappointing. The menu is heavy on carbs, fried food, and sugar. This is not the place if you are health conscious. It's also not the place if you want a relaxing meal. Loud, selfie-snapping tourists abound. The service is slow because there are clearly not enough waiters. Two of the hot dishes we ordered arrived cold. It took forever to get water. Coffee never arrived. New York has a lot of good places to eat. Trump Café is not one of them.

Stunning hotel and not worried about politics. We stayed here for a lovely light lunch in the cafe with a waterfall in the background. Clean and great variety of menu items. We had excellent pizza that you pay for when you order and get an alert when it’s ready. Hot and tasty. We indulged after at the Trump Ice Cream Parlour- best ice cream ever. Take a look around. High security. Friendly staff and shops for all kinds of souvenir items. Glad we went.

No matter how you feel about President Trump, finding a great spot for a casual working lunch in the city, with decent food, can be tough. Trump Cafe has good salads, bagels and coffee. The building is beautiful, but offers casual dining, cheap! Two bagels, two coffees and a fruit salad for $11! What else? Large seating area with comfortable tables to dine and work, the ability to make calls and relax, and the FRIENDLIEST staff! Check it out for breakfast or lunch!

My family and I had a great lunch at the Trump Cafe. Great prices, great food, and great friendly service. I asked the guys behind the counter does Mr. Trump ever eat here and they replied he stands right where you stand and orders. It was a nice, clean place to eat in NYC.

Easter Day and party on 5th Avenue. Afternoon stop in the bar inside the Trump Tower, also known as Nerolab Caffè in a good position but... The service, although friendly, is quite absent, you have to do it yourself to find a table and, above all, chairs. Once you have ordered and paid at the cashier you are served at the table. Average prices but not exaggerated for the iconic location. It's worth a stop for a coffee or a beer.

We visited Trump Cafe. We had coffee and pastry. It was lovely. The staff were very nice and friendly in offering their assistance. It was clean and the Cafe Food Selections were good. Security is tight which is to be expected. Security were very nice. Building is beautiful inside and out.

No I am not! If you want a very good lunch in an incredible setting, on 5th ave NY. Go to the Trump cafe next to Tiffany's, in Trump Tower. For $7 we had the half portion (still plenty) of Penne pasta w/vodka sauce. And the Italian sausage, onion, and pasta. And the setting is breathtaking with the waterfall wall, and Christmas decos. Definitely one of the highlights of our first trip to the big apple!

I had a medium salad w/3 add ons. Excellent & good portion for $5. Great value. The hot food looked great. Will try it again next year.

Good prices and nice selection of quick lunch options. The chicken salad wrap, fried shrimp, and side of pasta were all very good. And only $25; Trump helping your money go further.

Stopped off for a quick coffee and snack. It was the second time we had been there. The first time was not great, but gave it another try. There was actually nothing bad about the snack or coffee, but considering the 'name' and financial resources of this empire, we were a bit disappointed at the mediocrity of the food and general environment. I know it is a cafe, but it does need a bit of a facelift and better quality food. The toilets however, were pristine. Cost probably about right for the name and location, but will go elsewhere next time.

I'll start by saying that the food here isn't that good compared to most places in the city, but it's decent, the prices are good, the atmosphere is nice, and at least it has a good rating from the health department, that's always a plus. I had fish and chips, and it wasn't soggy like I assumed it would be since it was sitting out cafeteria style. Thinking back I should have gotten something that sat out better, but it was surprisingly still hot and crispy. The cheesecake was amazing, if you go here you should definitely order it. My son really liked the waterfall, and all the escalators with all the mirrored walls, it's like walking through a really fancy fun house at a high-class carnival.

Had lunch here last Monday. It was pretty underwhelming but better than the "canteen" service within Trump towers which sells items that look like they belong to a bad school dinner (The meat looked like it had been cooked and been out there for weeks). I ordered a pasta with loads of chilli. It was not bad but not wow either. Overall I think the place has a lot of potential but it was nothing more than under average perhaps it is aimed at the "shopping tourists".

Tried starbucks but the queue was long... went downstairs to the trump cafe and found no queue!! I had lovely roast beef with vegetables and my partner had a pizza... both really nice! would defiantly go back.... wasn't overly expensive either

Tired after walking all day, needed something to eat, found cafe at bottom of Trump Tower Had a great salad bowl, only $7 fresh and tasty Thanks Donald!

We stopped by with huge expectations. The restaurant was empty which was odd since the streets were quite busy. We were seated promptly and then pointedly ignored for 20 minutes at which point we simply got up and left. No one even noticed. The 2 staff members I could see seemed to be enjoying themselves as they regaled each other with their exploits from the evening before. We heard all the gory details. I suppose I should have wandered over and demanded service but really, we were so turned off by the vibe of the place we had no interest in staying. Dark and dingy with inattentive and juvenile staff. Not upscale at all. So we ended up at the Rock instead and had a tremendous dining experience.

Trump Tower is beautiful and has a few nice eating options. The coffee and desert in Trump Cafe were delicious and the atmosphere was lovely.

Great place fantastic food and good value for money. Clean and friendly.trump cafe is family friendly.

In the lower level of Trump Tower, can sit by waterfall wall. prices are good, food is fresh and good - great choices. Friendly service. Of Course when ordering bottle water you get 'Trump Water' recommend the large cookies.

so, I thought this might be a pretty good meal in a fancy restaurant....yes, it is true I was part of a bus trip and therefore subject to yet another buffet...but still I hoped for greater things. they pushed our reservation back by an hour and a half. The tables were linen covered with PAPER napkins. Our drinks were served in paper to go cups, as was our ice cream for dessert. The actual food did not taste horrible, but it wasn't anything exciting either. we had chicken in cream sauce ( no flavor), a pasta dish ( not dressed in much sauce ), eye of round roast which I heard complaints of it being TOUGH AS OLD SHOE LEATHER. I will say that the servers were excellent , and the ice cream is delicious.

We dropped in for a quick and healthy lunch and found just the opposite -- lunch was not quick and the food was anything but healthy. Service was slow beyond belief. It seems there was a staffing problem, but 40 minutes is just too long to wait for three salads and two sandwiches! The quality of the salads was also disappointing, even the famous taco bowl. My friends and I will not be coming back.

This is Trump Cafe not the Grill. Some reviewers have the two mixed up. There is a variety of food offered but a small selection. For NYC prices are very reasonable. I had the salad, your choice of greens either spinach, spring or ceasar. A variety of toppings are offered. I added 3 toppings to a medium salad with chicken, cost was $10.00. Hot foods and sandwiches are also available and desserts. Good food, nice atmosphere and quick service. I'd return again for lunch.

This was an unpleasant experience. the food was not very good and the service/ atmosphere very unpleasant- bordering on arrogance. Do not go. Stay away from the tower anyway- too much police for me- creeped me out- why take chances.

This is average at it's best. The food was cold, the service was average and the experience was poor. There are so many good restaurants in NYC look past this restaurant.

Great place to grab a quick lunch and great prices. For the Greek Salad and a bottle of Trump bottled water it was $11.45. They make the salad right in front of you so it is fresh. They have nice seating by a waterfall.

This cafe is beautiful, quiet and classy. The service is excellent and the food was wonderful and reasonably priced. I am delighted we discovered this cafe and will return each time we stay in this area of Manhattan.

The cheeseburger was average, nothing special. The chocolate cake was good. Overall, overpriced for what it is.

We stopped for lunch and was disappointed with what we got! Furniture looks dated and cheap, Trump has a good reputation for most things but this lets his brand down! In need of some serious modernisation and money being spent on the area. Unlike others have said food was hot just over priced!

If you pass by, you can enjoy a drink in a tower whose name is now known around the world.
Good foodl, friendly staff
Everyone here is so pleasant and friendly! Good food and many varieties to choose from. Service was quick and prices were reasonable considering it was in NYC. A definite stop just to see the beautiful building!
