Great hamburger

By Sara M |

I was told this place was great for brunch but didn't have the chance so we booked for dinner; they charge 10 $/person if you don't show up of if you try to cancel the day before. They also announce the table would only be saved for 15 mintues. After all these I was expecting a very crowded place but it was almost empty. The food was very nice but very overcharged: 18$ for a burger, which was delicious but not worth 18$. The feeling is they overestimated its own place probably for being in Tribeca and having cool guests.

Great coffee and service

By Romanydog |

My family had been told by other Australians to try this place as the coffee is Australian standard. The coffee was good (no flat whites available anywhere else in NY) and the food good as well if you want all day breakfast , BLT and / or burger. Healthy options as well. Seems to be well patronised at all times. We returned on 3 occasions just for the coffee.

Good for breakfast

By Gijs V |

We had breakfast in this Two Hands Tribeca restaurant. It was very busy, so we had to wait a while. We were pleased with the food: nice eggs with fresh pepper, good toast, large pots of tea. Good coffee. Staff is friendly but a bit on the slow side. You may want to avoid the toilet. Two Hands is expensive, but I would recommend en go back.

Lame brunch

By Yumi H |

I saw good reviews and then a waiting line that made me think food would be amazing. Totally overated! Too pretentious and food is too simple. Looks nice but taste bland. Drinks are not that great. Giving two stars because the place is cute.

Best brakfast by far and best service by Fernanda

By jcbny |

People need to start being more objective and fair when writting reviews and give the proper rating to the restaurants. Its not fair to rate a restaurant because a person did not say "hello"or because its too loud, that is absurd and ridiculuos. You go to a restaurant because of the food, to a coffe shop to get coffee, to a bar to get a drink. This is the best breakfast I ever had. The food was delicious and fresh, we ordered the "Weekend Special" and it was fabuluos, the capucchino was great as well, real coffee. On top of this our waitress was Fernanda and she was friendly, friendly and make you feel welcomed. we did not have a reservation because we did not know but Fernanda was very kind to offer us a table for 1 hr which is more than enough. We will definetely go back to this place real soon. Thanks Fernanda for making us feel appreciated.

Good Brunch Place

By Living2Travel |

My husband and I stopped by this cute little location. It was PACKED the whole time. We really enjoyed the avocado toast (which had a hint of spice), the hash brown was delicious, and a Mango smoothie. Overall, a good experience. A little pricey but it is New York...

Excellent Vegan Food

By Kevin M |

This menu isn't exclusively vegan but there are plenty of vegan options. I tried the Brekky Panna Cotta and Mrs the crushed avocado on toast which were both delicious. As was the Carrot Kick smoothie. Bright, modern interior with free wi-fi. The staff were cheerful and attentive, Highly recommend.

Nice brunch!

Food was good..expensive but everything is in the area..the waitress wasn’t overly friendly which was a pity..would try again if back in the area

The crispy potatoes and banana bread!!

By Meriç Ö |

Have a glass of wine! The two glasses of red wine we had were both great We shared the crispy potatoes as a starter and they were incredible. The mains were great - nothing out of the ordinary but definitely 5/5! Then we had the banana bread with the espresso mascarpone, and ohmygod it was incredible! Waiters and waitresses were super friendly!

The best experience for lunch

By Bia R |

I got the tip for this place from a Brazilian baker and it was the best meal I had in the city. For me the best choice was the turmeric chai latte. But every sing thing we asked for was amazing. I will come back for sure and just recommended to a friend that is on vacation.

Australians bringing some flair to Church Street

Bright contemporary surroundings and friendly and efficient service. Food is light and fresh - definitely worth a visit.

Delicious GF Brunch!

By K C |

Two Hands was delicious! My friend and I are GF and there was plenty to pick from. We had to wait on a Saturday at noon, but was about 30 min. Definitely worth it (and I don't wait at restaurants typically!). Highly recommend!

Not good.

The place doesnt smell good. Service is terrible. Extremely expensive for the type of experience. Restrooms are not clean.

Delicious Brunch Spot in NYC

By Tarin W |

Just left brunch at Two Hands and I’m already figuring out how to go back. The Tribeca location is a charming and casual place with lovely, delicious food. Everything my friend and I tried was fresh and fantastic. Banana bread with espresso mascarpone topping was amazing and not too sweet. Tara’s Grain Bowl is a winner although I don’t think you can go wrong with whatever you select.

How hard is it to say hello?

By deepoceansw1 |

I live nearby and I’ve really tried to like Two Hands for breakfast. I just can’t get there. And this is why. You’re greeted by one of those awful ‘wait here to be seated’ signs and nobody to seat you. Meanwhile at least 4 tables are open. 5mins pass. Nobody bothers to say hello or acknowledge you. Come on guys... Don't be so lazy. Then if you make it in, the table area is so badly designed and the tables are crammed so close together with 2in either side. The bar is the best bet. The pricing is not transparent, so you’re having to add $5 for things that should be included. They charge for coffee refills for completely forgettable coffee... which is not cool. All of which makes bill is much more than it should be. And the most frustrating thing: the food is really really good - ruined by entitled greedy treatment of customers. It would take so little to get this right, but you know what... if you can’t manage to say hello - no thanks - I’ll be going to infinitely better Odeon nearby or TriBeCa’s Kitchen.

their cheeseburger with beets is good but very messy to eat

By Melanie T |

Two Hands has a hipster feel to it, even though I'm pretty sure it was an Australian cafe. Our party of 12 came in on one Monday afternoon for a work outing, without a reservation (though I don't think they accept them here if it isn't for dinner). They were not able to accommodate such a large group at one table, so they ended up seating us in two separate areas. So much for a team event. All of the dishes on the menu sounded pretty good. They all consisted of fresh-sounding ingredients. However, they also didn't sound very filling. Because of this, I decided to go with the Two Hands Beef Burger (with cheese, fried egg, pickled cucumber, beet relish - side of crispy potatoes and house-made ketchup on seeded bun). This definitely filled me up and then some. We ate at around 1 and I wasn't even hungry by the time dinnertime rolled around. I must have missed the part where it said the burger came with beet in it because I was very surprised when it showed up. It made me think back to the first and only other time I had a burger with beets in it, which was at a McDonald's at the Sydney Airport. I remember thinking it was the weirdest thing ever, that the two didn't even go together. But now that I've tried it again, I think I'm starting to take a liking to beets and beets in burgers. My only warning to you is that the burger is extremely messy to eat. Between the fried egg and the beet relish, it's hard to even take a bite with everything in it, let alone keep all of the ingredients in the bun. The smashed potatoes were great but a tad too greasy. I forgave this though because I just love tiny potatoes for some odd reason. The house-made ketchup was not for me. It had cinnamon (?) or some other kind of spice, which gave it this strange taste. I would have preferred Heinz. This just proves that sometimes, it's best to K.I.S.S. I wouldn't mind coming back and trying some of their avocado toast as a light brunch. Plus, they make a pretty good flat white.

Delicious

Stumbled upon this restaurant during the Financial District sight seeing tour and it was a fantastic choice. Simply healthy lunch! Nice menu (lots of choice, the various bowls and breakfast Burrito are top) and friendly service.

A Taste of Australia in Tribeca

By Bytor56 |

We tried Two Hands for brunch during our trip to NYC, opting for the Tribeca location. The atmosphere had a great vibe, and we were thankful to have a reservation—the wait for walk-ins was over 45 minutes. Two Hands is an Aussie-inspired restaurant, and having spent several years in Australia, we immediately felt transported back Down Under. From the lemon poppyseed waffles to the flat white, the brekky burrito, and the traditional Aussie breakfast, everything hit the mark. No complaints at all—it was a delicious and nostalgic brunch experience. Highly recommend if you're looking for a unique and satisfying brunch in the city.

Way more cool than me

By Vibha R |

Sometimes you just feel like you just aren't cool enough for the place. Well , this was how I felt. The serve staff was cute, Aussie and indifferent. I asked for a cold coffee with Splenda. No Splenda , they said desultorily . We have Stevia in the raw and turbinate sugar in the raw. Well, I think Stevia ruins the taste of everything and asked for the sugar although it was not going to dissolve in ice coffee. It didn't. I asked if they had sugar syrup. Nah they said we got maple syrup. So I gave up on my coffee and concentrated on my smashed avocado with one poached egg. The egg was soggy with the water it was poached in and soon so was the one toast it lay on. Big struggle to cut through with a knife and no salt and pepper in sight. Got it eventually . By then the toast was completely like wet cardboard. I had already invested 25 dollars in this breakfast so Soldiered on. My husband asked for another hot coffee so of course someone came with a glass of chilled coffee. We corrected her and I pointed out that raw sugar was not dissolving in chilled coffee. That's when she got us sugar syrup. Net net paid the 60 bucks and swore never to return. Sometimes I know I am just not cool enough.

Pretty restaurant

By hannahcordova |

I have seen two hands pictures for a while, its a pretty hot spot restaurant so I was excited to go for lunch. We ordered the Ricotta hotcakes and the Brasiccas Bowl, one was amazing, and the other was average. I would return but order different things.

Imaginative and delicious vegetable featured meals

By Rochelle L |

Imaginative use of seasonal vegetables with delicious salmon and hanger steak. My beet salad was fantastic!

Great New York breakfast

By Frabapa |

Nice local in marine style in the district of Tribeca. Friendly staff and fast service. Inevitable tap water at the table. Excellent homemade lemonade and try the avocado toast ... but only if you like spicy. Average prices in NYC (3 toast and 3 soft drinks about $80) It is advisable to book

Great food great service.

By Chris C |

We enjoyed a really great lunch here. The waiting staff where really fantastic and the food really delicious. Only point to improve would be the plates used where very small to create a pretty food arrangement but this made for more difficult eating. However the food was fantastic.

Brunch

By deedee1951 |

Wonderful brunch while sitting outside at one of 3 tables. The avocado smash was delicious as was the pea smash . Prices were reasonable except when ordering a la carte . A glass of OJ was $7. A slice of banana bread was $8 .. but was delicious. One slice of tasty bacon was $5. So be careful when ordering. Coffee was excellent

A Great Find!

By Comfortseeker58 |

We stumbled on Two Hands while walking from the World Trade Centre. It was just what we were looking for. Staff were welcoming and friendly, our food arrived promptly and tasted great. If you’re nearby, you must call in!

Great choice for the neighbourhood, but not value for money

By VTK8 |

Coffee was good, strong and right temperature. I had a salad with salmon, spiralised courgette and the other vegetables were a little too much doused on the vinegar side and the egg could have been hot, but otherwise was a decent enough dish. I wouldn't say it's value for money though. You only get 1-egg, a quarter of an avocado and no toast.

Best coffee in NYC. Maybe in the US?

By restlessaussie |

They aren't fast, but the coffee is fantastic and worth the wait. It's made Australian style - strong! If you like black coffee and are curious how it should taste when made properly, order yourself a long black. You won't regret it.

Unacceptable

By retro_x |

The restaurant billed me twice for the meal. They have no telephone number so I emailed them about the case. It's been a week and there is no reply. It's virtually impossible for me to contact them having left NY!

Amazing food in a beautiful location

By Michael |

Great food with a lot of superfood, breakfast until 4pm and lunch for fair prices in a beautiful cozy place

Overpriced pretty food lacking taste

By foodieKate1 |

This place is Instagram worthy and nothing more. I ordered the lemon poppyseed waffle and a cappuccino. They both looked beautiful but that’s about where the enjoyment stopped. The waffle had, no exaggeration, 2 cups of whipped cream on top. It was spread over half the waffle too so it was like impossible to get off. Full dish lacked any flavor, was dry, and overwhelmed by the cream. The cappuccino was basically without any foam and the coffee was burned. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it was just drip coffee with the smallest amount of foam just to fake the cappuccino look and make it look pretty. There are so many good places in NY, don’t waste your time here. Oh and it’s really overpriced as the final straw on this one.

Nice food, but the host was very rude and wasn’t helpful at all. Put us off the place immediately, but we liked the food!!!

Dinner

By Sarndi A |

Fabulous ambience, delicious meal and attentive service. We enjoyed the variety of different flavours, the freshness of ingredients and interesting presentation. Try the hanger steak.

Very slow service

By Ian W |

First time visit - food very good but extremely disappointed by the very poor service. We waited over 45 minutes and when the food came it was not presented at the same time. Not even close. The manageress apologized and made amends. The saving grace was the food was great.

Brunch

By kishkimbayeva |

Very-very slow service. Waited for toast and poached egg for 1 hour!!! Staff was not really helpful. Will never come back

Good but not the cheapest

By Pierre B |

Two Hands do not offer the cheapest food or coffee, but the quality is really good. Ingredients seem to be very well thought of, and food tastes great. Would go here anytime for a small snack.

Great Find!

By Pamela S |

Great place with excellent food and good vibe. Great spot for friends and family. All three of us had something different and each was very good. Staff is very friendly and efficient.

Great place for brunch

By Kathryn C |

My top five list of brunch in NYC. I had a Zoe’s market plate with smoke salmon. Very fresh and delicious. Especially the sweet potato on the side. This location is near the World Trade Center. You should try when you near by.

Good Breakfast close to Brooklyn Bridge

By Kimberly K |

After walking across the Brooklyn Bridge. We need a break and a drink. We order breakfast. Sweat Pea toast w eggs and avocado toast w two over easy eggs. Eggs were a separate charge. They added pickled onions and it was delicious

Perfect Brunch

By NYCPandora |

Love love love this place for all day egg dishes in every possible combination. Fresh greens, avocados and vegetables that taste like they just came from the farm that morning next to eggs cooked perfectly to order every time. Some plates have hummus, some have sweet potatoes, there’s meat for the carnivores and an order of ricotta pancakes that will melt in your mouth. Drinks and service are great. Everything is pricey but mostly worth it! The vast majority of the seating is inside but definitely bring sunglasses and sunblock if you want a sidewalk cafe table because there isn’t an awning...

Looks better than it tastes

By waverider681 |

I couldn't wait to cut into my avocado smash as soon as it was set in front of me. It looked incredibly delicious, but my excitement was dashed the second I attempted to section off my first bite. The toast was cold and hard as a rock. It took some time and effort with my serrated knife to saw off bite after bite. In addition, the poached egg was overcooked - put the knife through it and nothing oozed out - no delectable runny yolk-just an immobile yellow center (and to think, I paid extra just for the egg). The multiple garnishes were over the top with too many competing flavors. I would have preferred a simple avo smash done right. Everything was beautifully plated, but the taste was nowhere near worth the cost. There are enough alternative Aussie brunch locations in town that I will not be needing to return to this one.

Fresh Healthy Food

By le5691 |

We each ordered the market special. It was too much for me to finish but my companion was able to finish it. Also I have the Acia smoothie - excellent.

Healthy Breakfast!

By misopiso88 |

Two of us were looking for a healthy breakfast so we decided to try out Two Hands. Great ambiance and nice food. Portions were filling so it is a terrific option if you are looking for something hearty.

Disappointing - no need to go here

By EzPablo |

Those of you that know the original two hands or simply like Aussie food, and for that there are tons of places in NYC, should avoid this new Tribeca location. It's kind of nicely decorated and most staff is Australian. Does this make the food or the service good? No, none of both facts. First: They open kind of late at 8am. But in fact at 8 the door is open but no one is ready (or willing) to work. Not even to greet you. My breakfast included an avocado smash with a poached egg and a cappuccino. All looked nice. But the espresso in the coffee was wayyyy too bitter and the smash was unbelievably citrussy. The staff didn't say good morning, nor did they take any notice of my additional wishes while sitting (and eating) at the bar. They didn't appreciate the tip nor did they saz the typical good-bye. Sorry, no need to ever go here again for a coffee that costs $5, is bitter and your visit is not appreciated!

Unfortunate bad service

By Guapacha |

We visited the restaurant after being recommended by someone, 4 of us in our party including one pregnant, we were told to wait for the table to be set up and while the rest of our party arrived however while we were waiting the table was given to someone else by the same host, Will! I found that to be strange so I asked but was only told I had to give it to someone else as your party is not all here, which wasn't the case as we were all waiting. The fact that we had someone pregnant on our party, and that we had been waiting for the table seem to not matter to the host. Not the kind of service expected at any restaurant.

Ultra chic and hipster brunch

By Harry H |

Well my partner and I must have been double anyone else’s age when we had a super healthy early brunch here today. Not v good value imho but nicely prepared. Recommend Zoe’s plate and the brassica. Owl looked good.

Taking healthy to a new level

By EvalKnievel |

We enjoyed a very adult brunch (with two kids in tow) last weekend at Two Hands. The menu is tiny but offers so many good choices that we struggled to decide and then ended up sharing round a bit. My children were a little overwhelmed by the non-standard fare (one ended up with a large plate of scrambled eggs and some thick bacon, which he devoured, while the other chose a ricotta hotcake that perplexed him at first but then seemed to be edible enough as he ate about a third of the massive thing). It didn't seem like an expensive place, but after a few pour over coffees and one of the best looking bloody marys ever, we racked up a sizable bill. Ah, NYC weekends... Friendly staff -- they even seated the first person of our party of seven before the other six even walked in! Love this place, and will definitely go back.

Patiently waiting for this down under joint to go down under

By rita m |

They opened about a year ago, I'd be surprised if they make further than the year mark. Service- garbage. We were a table of four coming for happy hour and a light meal. There were only two other occupied tables. One would think the service would be stellar. Not here. We had to ask the water twice to send someone over. A waiter came as though we were doing him a disservice. We ordered drinks. They sat on the bar until I got up to get them. The first guy never came back. Another waiter came...same thing. His attitude and face was the mirror of being inconvenienced. Sorry we stepped in buddy but we here so get to what we asked you to do. Overall, 1 star. One of the ladies in my group did let the second waiter know how garbage his service was. Food Meh. The small plate of seasoned nuts was a bowl of overly salty sunflower seeds glued together. We asked for it to be taken back. Attitude. We ordered the potato wedges which were meh as well. They needed ketchup, but we were told they don't serve it. The burger was fine but wasn't anything to write home about. Overall- no thanks there are more than enough places in TriBeCa to try out.

We are on holiday here from Scotland and enjoyed a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon after a visit to the 911 Memorial. Both the food and service were excellent. Would highly recommend.

solid brunch option in TriBeCa

By hollylemons |

Visited Two Hand’s Tribeca location for brunch with a friend. Definitely a hot spot on the weekend. Inside by the hostess station was incredibly crowded and the wait was about 45 min once we arrived. Love that they use the waitlist.me service where you can see where you are in line and text you when your table is ready. When we were texted we went back to the hostess but she was busy dealing with a very unhappy customer. My friend and I actually felt bad for her! Once we were seated we ordered two cocktails. Both which were delicious and presentation wise were beautiful. I ordered BLAT and roasted potatoes and my friend had the banana bread and couscous with salmon. Overall decor of the restaurant was beautiful but at this crazy busy brunch time it was impossibly loud! My voice felt strained when we left from talking so loudly! Restrooms were not the cleanest but at a very crowded place I’ll just let that one slide. Back to the food. My friends couscous dish arrived first and then 15min later her banana bread arrived. I was still waiting for my food probably 15min later until we finally tracked a waitress down. The BLAT was delicious. The bread was crusty but easy to eat and the bacon was delicious. And the roasted potatoes were fantastic. I really just could have ordered those and been totally satisfied. Even though the wait was long and they seem to have a few kinks to workout waitstaff wise I’d definitely return again for brunch.

Good for your health and good to eat 🙂

By Cycy |

New Yorkers, few tourists and a healthier cuisine than usual in NYC. We ate a chicken sandwich - avocado - spinach with a very slightly raised mayo (I don’t like it when it stings) and it was very good. I ate half at lunch and half at night because it was very hearty! My husband took a bowl dish and loved it.

Excellent brunch

By Eric M |

Try the barriscas bowl and their bread with mascarpone. Coffee by Integral was solid just be aware that they charge by the cup. Delish overall and came with family. However, I wouldn't wait an hour for it like some were last Saturday morning.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and good food, what more do you need?

By Abney |

This restaurant was chosen for its Australian heritage. And, it did not disappoint. I had the hanger steak and it was delicious! Great music that both old and young adults enjoyed.

Small restaurant with healthy cuisine that changes burgers and saw, pizza and other food that you find in Manhattan.Really very tasty and neat , for no more expensive than elsewhere!!! A beautiful discovery 👍

Fresh ingredients, and delicious drinks

By Adam B |

We stopped in for a bit of a rushed bite, the service was friendly and helpful while accommodating our need to move on quickly. The drinks were excellent, I just wish we had time for more. As for eats, we started with the Brussel sprouts, which were amazing, then we had the salmon and chicken bowls. The ingredients were fresh, and everything was delicious.

Buzzing atmosphere but slow service

By mcantywade |

Like the restaurant but the service was lacking and think our order was missed so waiting half an hour for breakfast.

Nice but unorganised

By DORA S |

Hard to forget the clueless waiters' facial expressions, they all act like taken by surprise that guests are coming and want to eat there. We were lucky to get a table, sat down, then someone finally taken our order, and then the waiting started. First for the drinks (we waited way too much for our two cups orange juice) then the breakfast took around an hour.. Tasted good though, no complaints. The hot ricotta cake was delicious, nothing too sweet or too much, simply great. Avo toast was fine too, it was a good choice. Cortado with almond milk was surprisingly OK, so all in all it was a good brunch. A bit pricy though..so I would recommend it only in case you have plenty of time and you are not price sensitive (70$ for a breakfast for two)..so at your own risk.

Bad food

By familytravels2040 |

Food was bad. Sent back as it was burnt. Couldn't eat it. Left a bad taste in our mouths. Kids breakfast size was a joke. All round bad experience. Don't bother.

New York Birthday Bash

By CaggyM |

We went to Two Hands for Breakfast, it was so good. The food is freshly prepared using top quality produce. It's not the cheapest but the portions are generous and is well worth the money. A little disappointing there are no free coffee refills for the prices charged but a minor detail!

Now that was a unique breakfast...

By gmckendr |

So happy that we found this place for breakfast on the final day of our visit to NYC. The restaurant has a great laid back vibe, tasty coffee, and super healthy/flavourful breakfast dishes. I tried the beet cured salmon bowl and it was outstanding. A great way to start the day with an energizing breakfast that isn't overly-heavy. Can't wait to go back next time we're in NYC.

Aussie inspired food, decor and friendly attitude

By NYandAussie |

It's fun to share a bunch of small plates and have a glass (or two) of wine. We especially loved the spicy cauliflower, and the crispy Brussel sprouts -- not usually my favourite veggie, but these were delicious. The waitstaff are mostly Aussies, and have a gorgeous laid back friendly attitude -- will stop for a chat, and are happy to recommend dishes. My son vouches that this is also a great place for brunch.

Amazing food but WAY too loud

By rafael_azzi |

I’ve going to Two hands for a couple of months now. Love the food and the service but they have a very serious acoustic problem. It’s unfortunate and something needs to be done.

Nice place for breakfast

By bikingmom |

We ran in here on the day we were leaving NYC. Great ambience and nice size portions for breakfast. The staff were very nice and service was good. I would go back.

Morning vibes are all great here

By Joannasable |

This place has that right kind of morning buzz. They left the attitude at the door and are so friendly and accommodating. Because I take lots of photos me and light love each other. We were 2 and asked for the front table that is for 3 and with a smile it was ours. Coffees were hot and delicious and the food is a reasonable and filling portion. If you get the avocado toast either come starving or share it. We loved our Asian Beef sandwiching the perfect crusty but not cut your gums crusty! Please follow @joannasable on instagram for more food and travel fun.

Good but way too expensive

By Rysz-DK |

Had our breakfast at this trendy cafe in SOHO, 3 x avocado sandwich’s and a yoghurt with granola and juice... The food was good and tasty, the fresh orange juice was good as well. But the price level, USD 14 for an avocado sandwich, had expected a bit more that a slice of toasted bread with half an avocado on top for USD 14. USD 7 for a normal glass of juice. Good quality food no doubt but way too expensive.

Hip & chic healthy food

By Chochoic2376 |

Without a reservation system, we walked in to this newly chic spot on a Saturday for brunch and waited for 45 mins. Lovely interior with good catch of sunlight. Food choice were healthy & innovative with nice artistic presentation . Waiting staff were helpful & friendly too ! We found that waiting was worthy & it was recommended for friends casual gathering!
