At one time I was told you could eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a different restaurant in NYC for 10 years and not eat in the same place. With that number of eateries it is a challenge to find a restaurant that combines the quality of the food, with pleasing ambience, friendly service and reasonable prices. I have found just the place for you – Via della Pace (located on 7th Street in the East Village). This is a small Italian restaurant that has it all. This may not be a Michelin-starred restaurant but the quality of the food is authentic Italian. In fact, if you closed your eyes when you take you first bite of almost any pasta dish you will think you are in Italy. I have only eaten there twice so I cannot vouch for all of the dishes but the pasta dishes my wife and I had were spectacular. The ambience, similarly, will have you think you are in Italy. This is not novo Italian. It is a bit eclectic but very authentic and very comfortable. The service is very personable. As I mentioned, my wife and I have eaten there twice. The first time we had a very friendly and personable waitress who helped make our luncheon very comfortable. The second time we were treated to Marco, one of the co-owners. He could not have been friendlier. The final aspect of Via della Pace is the prices. I would prefer not to publish them here but suffice it to say you can have a two-course lunch (and coffee) for $16 – where can you find that? Bottom line, if you are visiting NYC I would highly recommend that you have at least one meal at Vial della Pace. Also, make sure you go to the restaurant at the beginning of your stay so you allow time for a return visit. If you live in NYC, go anytime and you will enjoy yourself – I am sure.

Ate here twice on our trip to NY. First night consisted of caprese, lasagna and gnocchi, with lemon sorbet for dessert. Food was outstanding. Second night was lasagna with a side salad, and carbonara. Lasagna was a bit runnier than the first night, and carbonara was a bit rich. Still a tasty meal.

Delicious food, excellent service. Atmosphere was really good. I recommend this place, it's worth to visit!

We had a great meal at Via Della Pace. The restaurant was really cozy and homely, with relaxed atmosphere. The food was awesome, particularly the carbonara, rigatoni del pirata and bruschetta. The staff were really friendly and service was great. Would definitely recommend - thank you!

Nice place with real Italian food. Got the soup of the day, carpaccio and my girlfriend the lasagne. The soup and the lasagne were really outstanding! The people in the restaurant are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back here! Please note that they don’t take cards.

Visiting NYC from London and was recommended this restaurant by a restaurant critic in London. It did not disappoint, it's cosy, busy and noisy but the food is superb. Staff very attentive and friendly.

Very cosy italian restaurant with authentic food and flavours, and at a very good price. Try the daily specials. Friendly and gentle service, nothing bad to say. One of the best italian restaurants I have been outside of Italy. Don't forget to bring cash.

The reputation of this perfect Italian reaches all the way over 'the pond' and we were told to seek out this hidden gem when we visited. I have visited NYC over 15 times in the last 10yrs and I am a bit disappointed I have only just discovered this restaurant, but now I have it will be on my 'must do' list everytime. Tucked away just off the main road everything about it shouts out charm!! The staff were friendly and welcoming and there is a buzz around the place is infectious. We shared a starter, which was ample, while we worked our way through the fantastic cocktail menu. For main I had the duck pasta, yummy!! And my partner had a cheese pasta dish that was to die for. We enjoyed our meal so much we didn't leave enough room for a dessert, but we were already in food heaven. Thank you to everyone involved and we'll be seeing you again in March for sure.

We reserved a table which was a good idea as this appears to be a very popular busy restaurant. Our drinks and food were all served quickly and efficiently. Service was spot on and the staff very friendly and professional. The food - it's Italian of course - was just wonderful. We all had pasta in different forms with different sauces and no one, there were four of us, was in any way disappointed. A great Italian restaurant. Would we eat here again? YES. PS credit cards not accepted but there is an ATM in the restaurant.

After last visiting NYC and this place we were please to find that it still existed, albeit in a new location, and it was the meal we were looking most forward to on our recent trip back to NYC. Unfortunately, it was not as good as we remembered from last time. The restaurant is still very popular, which probably explains why there were too many tables for the space available. We ordered starters and a main course each, the mains arrived about half way through the starter course and the waiter embarrassingly left these mains teetering on the edge of the already undersized table to either go cold or more likely be knocked off the table before they got cold. We had to ask the staff to remove them. The food was also not quite as we remembered from 5 years ago, blander, less taste, again possibly too rushed. I am no restaurant expert, but we had the opinion that VDP is possibly a victim of its own success, or the relocation may have affected it, same name, different owners? We don’t know, but it was not the same as last time. Will look elsewhere for an authentic NYC Italian restaurant for our next visit.

Tuna tartare was amazing. Bread and olives amazing. Gnocchi and pesto amazing. Eat here. That's all we can say. We will never come to NYC without eating here.

Food is consistently great. Service is excellent. Sauces are perfect. Pasta cooked to perfection. Wine perfectly chilled. Can’t say enough good things about this place. One of our favorites.

There were 8 of us and we all loved our dinners and drinks. The service was spot on. The environment is casual and comfortable. We all said we would return.

This is the best Italian food I have had outside Italy! We were welcomed by the owner with Prosecco which is always a good start. The décor is warm and friendly and has a fun atmosphere with a real buzz to it. We had a wonderful waiter called Seve who enhanced the evening with his charming service, thank you Seve. I had one of the specials which was pasta with prawns and pistachos and I could have eaten it all over again, it was that delicious. The pasta was cooked to perfection. We had the tiramsu for pudding, divine and home made. I urge you to go here, it is a fun, funky and worth going to the Village just for this. It was also very good value for what we had which is always a bonus. Simply the best in NYC!

Good quality, Italian products, friendly and friendly service, honest prices for both food and drinks, especially wines.

After a day of St Paddys day celebrating in NYC it was time (11p) for a bite. VDP was the perfect venue. Delicious Italian (get the VDP specialties) served in a cozy relaxing atmosphere with well-appreciated serrvice. Mangia. And reasonably priced.

Wonderful location! Amazing pasta alla carbonara and spaghetti alla amatriciana exactly as an italian want them to be! Lots of wine and spirits! Cheap prices compared to quality! A NYC must!

My family and I toured NYU, and were looking for a nice restaurant. It was incredible service and the best, most authentic Italian I’ve ever tasted. The chef is grinning Rome, and you can taste the passion in his cooking. Everything was FANTASTIC. 10/10

This place was absolutely delicious and made my birthday feel special. Decor and service was excellent also. Best meal I had in nyc

We came here with a group of 30. The food was great, as was the service. Our dinner was held in the basement area and with 30+ people it was tight but they made it work. I was pleasantly surprised by this place.

Shot several restaurants where Italian had only the name, here instead food (great) and all-Italian staff. Roman cuisine of good quality. I recommend it

If you wanna try the taste of a REAL and ORIGINAL Italian dish, Via Della Pace is the place you are meant to go. The restaurant looks cozy, calm and pleasing. The food is amazing. The prices are very low taking into account Manhattan standards. You can go there to hang out with friends, to have a romantic dinner with your better half or just to have a quick meal at the lunch counter.

Great food and selection. Great prices. Great service. Great neighborhood. You can't go wrong here. The decor of the restaurant itself is worth a visit.

Small and beautyfull restaurant in Noho, very close to the Cooper Union, historic conference centre where Lincoln, Roosevelt and Obama, among the others, held important speeches. Good and fresh typical Italian dishes, especially of the roman tradition, with the right taste and well served. The staff is kind and the prices fair.

Small and cozy and we ate in the basement where there were a couple of birthdays being celebrated. The staff was great and food was delicious. I recommend starting with their polenta and roasted veggies. Delicious!

Love this place! Have 3 times in the last year and has been a Great every time. The Quality is excellent and Authentic (I Have lived and visited Italy many times) and most of all consistent. Might be the best Pesto I have ever had. From the Wine (Brunello by the glass) to the Limoncello and Pana Cotta, just fabulous. Its small but cozy and modern being in the Village. Don't Hesitate!!!!!! Just Go!!!

This was my cousin's choice who lives in NYC and dines here often; we met my family here for dinner ... I am an Italian home chef with high expectations ... I make all my own meals from scratch ... and all I can say is that the food was ok ... it wasn't horrible and it wasn't great ... the gnocchi tasted like just dough with sauce ... the appetizers were good but lacking salt ... the Amatriciana was okay too ... nice ambiance and great attempt at keeping Italian traditions alive ... if you just want a plate of pasta - this place isn't bad but it won't taste like nonna's ...

If you ever fancy Italian food in New York, this is the place to be. Unlike in Little Italy - where you can get mediocre food at totally overpriced prices at best - you can find classic and authentic Italian cuisine here that is simply delightful. The prices quoted are - especially for New York - perfectly fair ($21 for pasta alla gricia, for example). The Service is extremely friendly and attentive - apart from a somewhat disgruntled female service. Finally, the decor of the restaurant is very cozy and harmonious. We felt really comfortable and would love to come back!

Warm welcoming, tasteful pasta and dessert. Friendly team and cool decoration Price is OK, reservation was not necessary the week days

...that is always busy. Reservations are being honoured so its best to book ahead if you can. It is very noisy inside due to the loud music played and everyone raising their voice to be understood. There was a mixed crowd on our visit, families, young and old all squeezed in to the small dining room. You could see in the faces of the older folk that they did not really enjoy the buzz, I guess they would be potential reviewers giving poor ratings. Anyhow, the food is authentic Italian, we all had pasta dishes which were cooked and seasoned just right. Service was swift and friendly and they have done away with that nonsense of adding a tip to your bill. Prices are very reasonable offering some of the best value around. Highly recommend if you´re into Italian food on a budget and don´t mind the noise level.

This small restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is a good option to have a decent Italian food when visiting East Village. It seems to be more frequented by locals than tourists. The wine list is simple but you can find a few decent options to pair with the food. Plates are enough for one person and the prices are fair. Service is just average. Beware : they this place don't take credit cards, although there's an ATM inside.

We stopped in here without reservations on a Friday eve in November. The place was hopping. We managed to get 3 seats at the bar so sat there for dinner. We were treated royally by the bartender who happened to be the owner's son. We started with the bruschette Abruzzese, yum, and for entrees had the special of the day, bolognese, to die for. So good. We were treated to limoncello when our check arrived. Prices are so reasonable and the food SO good.

We really enjoyed our dinner. Pasta was awesome and reasonably priced. Great wine selection and friendly staff! We will return!

maybe as Italian I had to much of expectation but it was not bed. Not as in Italy but not bed and very cheap.

I read an article in a travel magazine where this restaurant was recommended, so my friend and I decided to go off the beaten path to try it. So glad we did! It was easily the best dinner we had in NYC (we both love Italian food.) One caveat- they only take cash, and if I hadn't looked up the address on TripAdvisor, I wouldn't have known that in advance. There is a small sign on the door, but neither my friend or I saw it. Restrooms are very small- fyi. We had excellent service, even on a busy summer weekend night. I had the gnocchi, and my best friend had the lasagna, and we both had side salads. Excellent food!

The minute you walk in you know your in for a treat. It’s a small restaurant in the East Village, the decor is homey and the staff are wonderful. The two young owners are from Italy and they truly make you feel welcome. The food is delicious. We all started with different bruschettas. Really different, some of our favorites were the goat cheese, avocado and arugula. The shrimp with spicy mustard was amazing! The pastas are all homemade. The lasagna is made with béchamel and the rigatoni pirata was another favorite. The salad Via Conduti was so good with Gorgonzola and apples. Needless to say we really enjoyed ourselves, we were not rushed, the staff could not have been nicer and we left fat and happy! Be aware, they are cash only. Really try and go here, you will not be disappointed.

Went after the US Open (and like others, as a result of the article in the Times). Got two seats at the bar. Food was excellent - flavorful, good portions, and very reasonably priced. Had the meatballs, a flatbread pizza (anchovies & buffalo mozzarella), plus a pork chop special and the rigatoni al brucio (spicy tomato sauce, olives & capers). Delicious, all of it, and we have leftovers for lunch the next day! Tiramisu is fantastic too.

Had a very nice dinner at this lower east side restaurant. Both the pastas carbonara and the tune were excellent. The asparagus special and the broccoli side were very fresh well prepared. Good desserts some made in house. Small but good wine list. Excellent staff. Reasonable prices for New York.

What a beautiful little restaurant with its homely Italian ambience, wonderful staff with great service, and the best spaghetti carbonara I have ever eaten. The $16 lunch special was great value, and Devine to eat.

A piece of Rome in the heart of the East Village. Giovanni’s friendliness and hospitality are truly special! All staff is fantastic. The food is delicious… the carbonara and tiramisù are out of this world! A place that captures your heart.

We went looking for a lunchtime spaghetti as we’d read about places online. Found this gem and from starters till deserts we enjoyed it all. Thank you guys for everything!

I did not expect this place to be so good! If you are in the area you need to check out this Italian Rest. It is simply amazing!

When my parents came to visit, we decided to try out this restaurant, and I'm glad we did! The food was excellent, and the d

Via della Pace is a very friendly place. There is a family-style vibe which creates a hospitable atmosphere. You can detect a small group of regulars that come to hang out, à la "friends". Cacio pepe is hearty (a bit too creamy for my taste) and the aperols are on happy hour pricing which is a plus. Giovanni is a nice kid and truly loves his restaurant. I recommend off-peak hours. The bar zone is very 'dive bar' with whiffs of beer covered floor. Took me back to my college years nightlife!

As soon as you step in here off of E7th St, you step into Roma (my only complaint of that the owner is a Lazio fan and I LOVE AS Roma). The genius of great Italian cuisine is it's simplicity combined with quality and freshness. VDP does not disappoint. The "Italian-ness" of the staff just ads to the authenticity. The bruschette, the antipasti, the pasta, the secondi, and the dolci were well prepared and devoured. The dishes we had are those I highly recommend - especially the burratta tricolore, the asparagi, spaghetti alla Amatriciana (I admit a weakness for that sauce), the gnocchi (proper texture). The tiramisu was the way I like it- not too sweet. One of the things I really appreciate in a restaurant is when the staff recognizes the client's appreciation of the establishment and VDP is quite attentive to that. If your looking for a night out in Italia and can't afford the airfare, come here.

You can eat here probably much better than an Italian restaurant in Italy . Excellent , the people are extremely friendly, service is quick . Each time I go there I feel like at home , btw I m Italian

Hadn't been in a long time. Took the chance on a Saturday night. It was packed. No reservations ever. First come first serve. Waited by the bar which was 3 deep. It was a bit chaotic and the owner said ok prosecco for all waiting. He was very sorry for the craziness. Not his fault it was busy. Finally got a seat. Food is good simple Italian. So glad I went. Even on a busy sat. Night Even got refills of the prosecco. Will be back soon.

Brilliant place in the East Village. Really buzzy, superb ambience, just what we were looking for. The food was absolutely excellent Tuna with stuffed tomato for a main course was spot on and the Lobster ravioli got great feed back from others. Small bar area with a good atmosphere, small pact place but that adds to atmosphere. The guys who run it are really cool and really friendly. Good value and a great value wine list. We had 4 nights in NYC, 2 of them were here. I'd say this a classic New York Italian. I'll be back next time in NYC.

Cramped environment with inattentive service. Dirty, worn menus prefaced a limited selection though reasonably priced. Experience was saved by excellent Food but too many other better restaurants for us to return.

A solid Italian restaurant with great service and ambiance. Good value as well. They have a charming outdoor patio in the back.

Long story short. If you would like to eat at a true Italian restaurant in NY, Via Della Pace is the place. The food is just unbelievable (pasta carbonara highly adviced) and, above all, authentic!!! Pure quality...

Food was descent, and came out within reasonable time. But old facilities, chair is horrible, table wobble, and layout was very cramped up that makes experience uncomfortable overall. Table was unstable that I worried it would just break. You can barely move your arms when you eat because you are seated so close to other people. We were spending time talking but after eating desserts, bearded man (who was a waiter or manager) start to yell how they need tables, as if they want us to leave immediately after we just eat. Maybe visit if you are in a small group but most definitely not in large groups as there are restaurants that you can go eat much more comfortably in town.

Located in the Lower East Village is this unique Italian restaurant. It has a bar and a dining area. There's even one table outside on what was the landing for a 2nd doorway - neat, your private little balcony. Place appears small, but I understand there's a larger dining area in the back. Our appetizers were lentil soup and polenta, both very tasty. I had fettuccine with pesto, with the usual string beans and potatoes. Very good. My friend had a rigatoni with a cheese sauce, also delicious. We had an Italian draft beer, a wonderful lager, but the name slips my mind. The Italian waitress was extremely pleasant, service was good, although a bit slow. We had to mention that we had a show to catch to expedite our entree. Prices good. Cash Only! Overall, a great dining experience,

Lovely little place, good service. The food is excellent! Try the Spaghetti ala Gricia and the Melanzane. The Affogato is awesome.

Quaint small place. Very cozy. Food is good and not over priced. Appetizers are very reasonably priced and portion size ample. They sometimes have music which is a nice touch. Most of the wait staff are from Italy which makes you feel like you are really dining there. They do have a few outside tables also.

This place is a great find at Eastern village NY. Cozy place with a character. Food is absolutely delicious. We enjoyed everything. Staff are helpful too. Above all, affordable price.. surely will cone back when visiting NY.

The manager, Giovanni (?), twice sang “Happy Birthday” through a megaphone, while I was trying to have dinner with my wife. The party he sang to seemed to uncomfortably enjoy it, but everyone else, was more than a little uncomfortable....his voice should not be amplified. All in all, a major disappointment, financially and acoustically NOT relaxing.

Was looking forward to an enjoyable evening. First impressions were good. Mixed lively crowd, intimate restaurant & friendly staff. Unfortunately chaotic serving leading to different courses all arriving at once for different people with nothing more than a shrug. Food could have been tasty but spoiled by being hot & cold on the same plate leaving the impression that the kitchen couldn't reheat preprepared food properly. I'd also ordered a $33 bottle of wine to discover that they'd actually brought an $88 bottle of wine when we got the check. All in all a night a bit ruined.

We really enjoyed a delicious dinner. The service and ambiance was terrific! It was truly authentic Italian food...we each ordered something different and were raving on the taste..As we entered we were greeted nicely and felt welcomed !! Definitely saved in my places to go list!!

Busy for a Thursday night! Bruschetta was freshly prepared with nice flavor. Lasagna portion was more than I could eat at one meal. Thumbs up would visit again.

Try to dine here at least once a month. Whenever we come back we feel like we are visiting Italy. Wait staff very pleasant, most with Italian accents. Something for everyone, including a drink list and extensive wines by the glass or bottle. The crusty bread they serve is delicious too. The only thing I can say bad is the portion sizes are not consistent. I do not know if it’s because of different chefs or not. I always order the appetizer of baguette with goat cheese, avocado and roasted peppers. Tonight there was hardly any goat cheese and only one piece of avocado - usually lots of goat cheese and at least two avocado slices. The pasta is delicious. The gelato with espresso that you pour over it is amazing. Can’t wait to go back!.

We came for dinner to this wonderful restaurant with inside and outside seating and we felt like being in Italy with outstanding service personnel, authentic food and very reasonable prices. All drinks, food and desserts tasted excellent and were homemade - outstanding! If you want to feel like being in Italy then go to VDP! Is this a helpful review? Authentic Italian restaurant. dishes cooked as in Italy with excellent quality raw materials. I ate a spectacular corbonara. Well done, keep going and defend real Italian cuisine across the border.

Great homey warm Italian restaurant - simple classic menu, but every dish shined as a special discovery. The mixed bruschetta app is great, the pasta americriani is fantastic - all the pasta is perfect al dente. A must go if in the east village.

A great venue for an early Saturday evening lunch. Great menu options served quickly by friendly and professional waiting staff. Particular highlights amongst our party of 6 included the Lobster Ravioli, the Gnocchi , Asparagus and Meatballs. Atmosphere was lively but on reflection it was a little too busy to chat amongst the table and there was a slight feeling that the staff was trying to clear our table on what was a very busy evening service. Would definitely return and recommend, but just let down by the vibe

We ordered off the special menu. The ravioli we received was overcooked and with blend sauce. The waiter did not approach us to get the order so after waiting a long time, we had to flag another waiter who then called ours, we had to do the same to get some Parmesan because it was not given with the meal. The seat they sat me in was so shabby, leaning back made it move and almost break, so I had to sit upright the entire meal without being able to rest. The food is also overpriced. Just a bad experience over all

Great ambience, amazing food & cocktails (amalfitano is fab). Stumbled across this place for a drink and I returned next day for dinner. Totally loved the feel of this quaint little restaurant and whilst we’re staying a little distance it’s well worth the journey. Warm welcome and fabulous staff, amazing food and drinks 😘😘

I booked a table for 7 at this restaurant back in April for my 50th birthday meal with friends last week. Absolutely amazing. I cannot fault anything. We were looked after perfectly and the food was tasty, plentiful and amazing. They sang happy birthday to me and brought me a Tiramisu. If you want to eat Italian whilst in New York, visit this restaurant; you won't be disappointed. Beautiful rustic restaurant!

Tutto è delizioso! Carbonara, perfetto. Amatriciana come Roma. If you are Italian, especially if you are a Roman, you will feel like you are home. The service is great, the owners are kind, the food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. Via Lazio Club NYC, avanti Biancocelesti!!! Ale Ale Ale- #asromamerda.

Via Della Pace is well located on the lower east side of Manhattan. The decor and the food were very good. All three in my party liked the appetizers and main courses. The wine list had good variety and was well priced. The service on the other hand was terrible. Things of note: - we ordered a bottle of wine and the servers never poured a drop - as opposed to the lack of attention to the wine, servers constantly hovered to see if we were done with our food and worked to turn the table - a few tuna squares of our appetizer of tuna/avocado fell on the table and were never picked up. I used my napkin are a while to clean the table - I asked for the check, it then took 20 minutes to come. After rushing us all meal, the check took forever. This should have been a great experience, given the food and fun buzz in the restaurant. Unfortunately it fell flat.

Arrived in New York from Paris and found this local family run Italian in the area we were staying by pure chance. But what a wonderful find. Great food and ambiance. Cosy, noisy and fun all at the same time ! We loved it and drank and ate until the wee hours.

My OH found this on trip advisor and we were so happy that he did. The food is incredible - proper, authentic Italian; the atmosphere was fantastic. One of the owners was behind the bar (we had decided to eat at the counter). He was really helpful and chatty without being overbearing. He went out of his way to check out a few ingredients for me (pregnancy related questions). Then later went over to my hubby to congratulate him and was enquiring about our due date etc. We’d 100% recommend/urge our friends and family visiting NYC to go here. We both have agreed it’s up there with our favourite restaurants we’ve ever been to (including ten years of travelling around the world together)! Go. Eat. Enjoy!

Most awesome and cozy restaurant I have been to in a while. The atmosphere was festive and the food good. The restaurant is owner run and the service was attentive and efficient. Would definitely return.

The Pace guys hosted my birthday party and everything was AMAZING! Staff was great. food was off the charts and we closed the restaurant in laughter and fun. Thank you all!!

I took my son and some friends here for his 30th birthday on Valentine's Day. We were late and the restaurant was packed but they honoured our booking and gave us an evening of great food and wine! The only drawback was having to pay cash - it was a big bill and it would have been useful to know in advance even though there's a cash machine on site!

The lasagna was amazing!! Don't miss it. We also got the Pear-Gorgonzola salad- it was big enough to share.

If you are a minority, DO NOT EAT HERE! You will be forced to sit where you don’t want to and wait to receive crappy service. If you want to try the food, get it to go. Read the other reviews and look at the names, there is a reason that the lower star reviews are from minorties. Management has made it clear from the treatment of their customers in the restaurant and online that they don’t welcome certain business. Check out UVA on the UES. Better food, atmosphere, Michelin star, and they are open later too!!

The place is small and tight. The food was OK. Several of us had the lasagna and it was good. I had the rib eye steak and that wasn't bad. We had the assorted cured meats and cheese and was pretty good. From the raving reviews, I thought it would be better. I guess I was expecting more! It just didn't feel that clean. Our server was good and attentive and did the best to accommodate us - so hats off to her but the help weren't that attentive to water, bread and etc. Just average for me this time.

I grew up in Italy. This was like home. Warm service, authentic flavors, great selection, and all at pretty decent prices for NYC.

great small restaurant in the East Village, we were a party of 8 [fairly large for this restaurant] total seating is probably 50 people!. we ordered Italian wines, brochette - 5 choices - all great, followed by house salad, and entrée's. we had a variety of pasta, Lobster Ravioli, Charred Cod on linguini, Ravioli, and various other dishes. for desert, we had Tiramisu [my daughter's comment: 'to die for!' service was very good, as were the recommendations for Italian from the owner. for reference, this is a CASH ONLY restaurant - worth it! we would have it set as a 'must go' when we return to NY

We went for dinner, and both of us got stomach ache and heartburn for the rest of the night. Food is good if you're willing to risk it!

Great Italian food, the antipasti, pasta and risotto were delicious. Service minded and friendly staff helped us with good recommendations both for food and wine. Small and genuine with great atmosphere.

Dimly lit, Italian speaking staff and we loved every minute of it. A bit slow on the service side and hard to read the small menu font, but the food was so tasteful and very authentic. Wine list is a bit $$ for the quality-seems to be a 4x markup, which it typical, but good ones are to be found. The free bread and oil is amazing!

This was our second visit to VDP amd again it didn't disappoint in the least. The place is small and intimate, but not the least bit stuffy. More like inviting and friendly. The quality of the food is outstanding and authentic and everyone really enjoyed the food. The wine list is solid with decent variety and plenty of reasonable choices along with some higher end choices. For a relatively small restaurant I give them two thumbs up for their wine selection. Overall, I am a fan of what VDP offers..a really nice cozy intimate setting, tasty and authentic Italian food and really good value.

Precisely I have only eaten here twice but on my only two visits to NYC. The first time in 2016 with a friend of mine. The second time was in March 2024 but this time with my partner and my 1 year old baby! There is little to say about two different historical moments but nothing has changed. Impeccable food and courtesy and attention to the customer and a particular applause for the "landlord" Giovanni who was fantastic with us but above all with my son, a truly great person at heart who made us feel at home with his Romanness from Lazio. I advise everyone to make it an obligatory stop if you pass through New York and want to eat good quality food while spending the right amount. You will certainly feel satisfied.

Beautiful evening, you feel at home and we ate really well, delicious pumpkin flowers and exceptional first courses, then we went to the counter and we had desserts and cocktails, good vouchers, wonderful evening Thanks to Giovanni and his partner!

Love this place with all my heart. Have been going there for over 10 years ( why did I not review them before? Probably because I wanted to keept them all to myself ❤️). Amazing comfort food. Great staff. It is the modern & italian iteration of cheers. You walk in & you feel at home. A friendly greeting, a glass of prosecco, 5 to 6 hours later you might or might not be on ur 2nd tiramisu 😋but you are def family. Mi mancate tanto ragazzi

Superb first visit to VDP. Recommended by a friend who lives nearby. What a great place to have dinner with friends. Reasonable. Very high quality dinner.

Visited here as a party of four. Small and cosy. Atmosphere lively and welcoming. Food was fantastic. Lobster ravioli was to die for. Need to book as tables are limited but well worth the visit. Highly recommended

In a busy, noisy little restaurant I had bruschetta and a ravioli carbonara which were both wonderful. Speedy service from friendly staff, made it feel not like Italy, but the food was wonderful. A typical New York twist on the Bruschette - to add soft cheese, bacon and asparagus. It was delicious. Having taken the recommendation from Corrie and his food tour - something to experience - one I would add to my recommendation list. Care - only takes cash.

Very friendly staff, we sat outside and were given lots of time to chill whilst getting delicious Italian food. Wish I would have an Italian neighborhood restaurant like that at home

This was a lucky choice for us. We were running late and they worked us in for a table. The service was great, the food was delicious, the wine list was reasonable and we had a great time in a cozy but fun atmosphere. The real deal.

I loved this restaurant. The atmosphere was wonderful. The quality of the food and wine was great. It is authentic Italian cuisine. Also, the service was excellent. There was a lot of international folks there which gave it a worldly feel. I can't wait to go back. Please beware that they are cash only. However, the food is an excellent value.

Incredible Italian food! The gnocchi is phenomenal. Service was impeccable, food came quickly and we found everything to be delicious. Definitely worth a visit when in the east village.

It's my wife and eyes favorite place we've eaten there three times and we go out of our way to go eat here each time this time we went for an unusual visit we went for a late lunch and had a lunch special she had a lasagna which she swears is the best lasagna she's ever had and I had the Companero pasta. I was extremely pleased with it and would definitely come back. Had an opportunity to sit and talk for a long time with Marco who is one of the owners and had a joyful conversation talking to him

The food is great and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend it. The gnocchi was delicious and my wife had the pesto fettuccine which was also very good. Good wine and good service.

Well priced, good service, beautiful ambiance. Fantastic flatbread. Came with a group of 8, with kids and picky eaters, and everyone had a nice experience. Arrive early, there’s cool stuff in the area to explore before you eat, including a cute antique print shop.

After two weeks in the USA it was really a breath of home air, super courteous, Greek and amatrician staff very good, definitely it is a restaurant I will return to when I am in NYC and I will recommend it to all Italians.

Had a great dinner last night. Emilianna bruschetta was ok. Tuna tartare was pretty good and delightfully light. The lobster ravioli and lasagna was the best we ever had. The waitress appeared to be the only waitress working the entire restaurant and was overwhelmed. Need 2 wait staff during busy times. Would go again but during off peak times.

I ate a pasta plate that reminded me of when I traveled to Italy. It was authentic and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely loved the authentic cosy atmosphere of this traditional family run Italian restaurant. We a delightful waitress who bought us a couple of tasters of wine before we made our choice. The family recipe tagliatelli Ragu was great and the daily special tagliatelli with shrimp and a light sauce with the fresh taste of lemon zest! We will return!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, CLEANLINESS, QUALITY AND COURTESY 10. IDEAL ENVIRONMENT FOR THOSE SEEKING ITALIAN CUISINE. ABSOLUTELY TO TRY!

Beautiful place. Giovanni and the staff very nice and welcoming, Italian food and a beautiful atmosphere. Perfect evening to spend with friends or family.

What a fantastic mix of energy, atmosphere, fun, excellent service and wonderful food. Loved everything about this place including the friendly nature of both parties we were sitting beside. Very authentic much appreciated experience.

Ambiance, service and food are all amazing. One of the best Italian restaurants that I have ever been to.

Was a bit put off with inconsistent feedback on many places in Little Italy and found VDP highly rated and near our apartment. Everyone in the group from 9 years to all adults was very pleased with the food. Excellent selection of bruschetta and pastas. Carbonara was top quality and the fettuccini ragu specialty of the house was delicious. Tiramisu was amongst the best I've ever tasted. House wine was ok but service was excellent in a cosy (And packed) setting. Highly recommend reservation via the website.

Fantastic Italian restaurant in Manhattan. The owner Giovanni welcomes you with all his kindness. Excellent Italian cuisine. Really good prices for New York. What more can I say? We have to go there.

I went to this place against my principles, I never go to Italian places abroad. However, I went on the advice of a friend since one of the members comes from my area. Well the place is very nice, the guys welcomed us as if they knew us and the dishes are truly delicious. It is not easy to find Italian quality and hospitality abroad. Sincere congratulations. We liked it so much that we did an encore. The area is very nice and the place also offers cocktails. Absolutely go

Brought my teenage daughter to NYC and found this quaint restaurant after getting lost getting back to our AirBnB in East Village (awesome location) and overheard a guy while walking by talking about craving their food and wanting to get back there. It's in an adorable brownstone with gentle lighting and aromas of Italy. Of course, my daughter fell in love with the waiter's accent - and perhaps that made the food taste better ... but I doubt it. Warmth and love cooked right into the bruschette (get the sampler - umbra is magnifico) and pasta but the absolute yummiest were the homemade panna cotta and tiramisu.

Brilliant food and really good atmosphere! It is a small place, but that's part of the charm. The wine list is extensive and the service superb! Italian food at it's best. Just be aware that only cash payments are possible (but there is an ATM in the restaurant, so should be no problem)

We visited Via Della Pace before going to STOMP! which is right around the corner on 2nd Ave. and are really happy we did. It's a small local place that feels like it could be in Florence, Italy. High ceilings, wood floors, brick walls, a small bar set off the entry, and just enough of the kitchen to see to make one wonder what's going on in there. A perfect ambiance for us. The service was casually impeccable; our server was friendly, spoke some Italian, and made us feel like locals which in NYC can be hard for a tourist to feel. The food did not disappoint. The garden bruschetta, and the proscuitto and melone were very fresh and to die for. The pastas were authentic and full of flavor; we had arrabiata and carbonara. The wine selection was good very reasonably priced. Overall pricing is excellent for what you receive. If we were New Yorkers VDP would be a regular stop for us.

Great food for a reasonable price! Service was quick, and drinks were never empty. Just a heads up it's a cash only restaurant.

My title is a bold statement but one I stand by. The food here is amazing. I have travelled all over Italy and my benchmark is a gnochieria in Milano. I saw this listed on TripAdvisor as #34 of over 8000 restaurants in NY. I took this rather sceptically. However I stand corrected. This place is amazing. The food and wine is amazing as is the coffee. We love red wine and have a cellar at home and the wine here was fabulous. I had the gnocchi and it was sublime and my wife had riggitoni with Italian sausage, cheese , tomatoes and mushrooms and it was amazing. If you don't travel here for the best Italian food in NY you are crazy. So why only 4/5 then?! Honestly a minor thing but it irritated me. They don't take credit card. So I had to use their ATM at $2.75 transaction fee. I would have preferred to pay more and had the convenience of them taking my MasterCard. I know I am a princess but it annoys me in this day and age that such a great place doesn't take credit card. My grievances aside - this is a must and worth the cab ride!!!!! It is so good we are heading back tomorrow!

We had a gricia, a carbonara and a tiramisu... The carbonara was great, but the gricia was spacey... Even in Rome you struggle to find one like that. The tiramisu was delicious. And Giovanni was wonderful with us and especially with our little Pasquale. If you are passing through New York and you want to treat yourself to a dinner that will taste of Italy and Rome, pass by here!

One could tell by the bar scene that this was a local hangout. Being from out of town, I didn’t get that friendly service. VDP served good comfort food and can make a decent cappuccino. Standard New York prices.

While dining on Saturday evening at Via della Pace at 87 E 4th St in New York, we observed a huge rat roaming the restaurant. When pointed out to the owner of the establishment, he said, "What do you expect, this is NYC." and then he made a racial slur.

NYU drop off and an excellent dinner! Found this place online and it didn’t disappoint. Casual quality Italian and great service too! I was skeptical when we first arrived, but I read good things. We sat in the bright back room and enjoyed the signature cappuccino martini which was delicious! Bruschetta and rice balls were great apps. We all loved our meal selections and price was so fair too. Portions were just right and I prefer quality over quantity. Make a reservation, you won’t regret it.

great food, awesome staff and good service, prices are reasonable! this place was recommended by our friends in NYC and my kids enjoyed their plates. i would definitely come back next time in visit NYC.

This is a great Italian place for a nice Italian meal. We went there on a Sunday evening, and it was not crowded. The staff are very friendly. The meal was very good. We had the eggplant appetizer, and it was delicious. The meals we ordered were also delicious. Our waitress was lovely and very attentive. You can tell it is authentic Italian food. I highly recommend this restaurant. There was a nice brewery around the corner where we waited for our reservation. Great area with lots of places to eat and drink.

My wife and I were really looking forward to dining here. I'm sure the food is excellent. It's a small place and they don't take reservations for groups less than 6. We arrived around 930p on a Sat night knowing that we may have to wait for a table. The place was packed with a large group of at least 20 standing waiting for their table. You could barely get in the door. Maybe having such a large group show up disrupted the flow of the place and we were just unlucky to catch it on a night like this. When I finally got the attention of a server, I was told it would be an hour wait. My issue with the place is what happened after I told her we can wait and will grab a drink while we wait for a table. Her odd response was that they don't take reservations. I explained that I'm not asking for a reservation but will wait for a table. She just shrugged and walked away. Obviously "we have an hour wait" means go away. Until the restaurant offers reservations for at least some of their tables for small groups or couples, be very careful what night of the week you choose to eat here and have alternative plans in place in case you run into our experience.

Note CASH ONLY! Good traditional Italian and reasonable for NYC. Service could have been a little more welcoming.

A group of 6 adults, who wanted to try an authentic Italian Restaurant whilst in New York, decided on Via Della Place based on the reviews on Tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is not big but uses the space well enough to cope with larger parties, yet a romantic dinner for two is just as easily accommodated. Excellent selection of drinks and a very good wine list. We all had different starters and main courses, as well as some desserts and everyone was more than impressed, no one had any complaints. All of the food was first class. The service was very efficient and friendly. I would definitely go back to this restaurant if or when we go back to New York and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting NYC.

We are always looking for small Italian restaurants in NYC that have great food and are off the beaten path. We went because of the reviews on TripAdvisor and glad we did. We shared the burrata prosciutto appetizer which was plenty for two. We also had seafood risotto and cannelloni with meat, both delish. Very good service, atmosphere, prices and bread. One call out, cash only.

Some dishes like the meatballs and the codfish were decent. However most were just less than satisfactory. The service is simply awful and should not be tolerated. Very inexperienced staff who consistently got everything wrong with no apology. This place would not last a minute if it were further uptown.

Gnocchis were just awesome. Appreciated the great quality of service. Cosy restaurant. Excellent quality/price ratio...

Had a large group for dinner, restaurant promptly seated us at reservation time, waitress very attentive, pleasant,Food and wine good, would definitely return, prices reasonable.

Everything I had here tastes authentic Italian, but the Carbonara is unique, amazing. The moment we walk in, the guys always give us a glass of prosecco and it’s great to hang out waiting for the table. The service reminds me of typical Italian Taverna’s so if you expect a Michelin star, then go to a Michelin Star. Great food, great crowd and nice staff. I have become a regular

Really nice lasagna and it has a good ambience to talk and have a great time. The owners are Italian so it makes the experience complete.

The brushcette reminded me of being back in Italy, and the meat and cheese tray was fantastic. A nice Tuscan wine was suggested that won't break the bank. I'm glad we each tried a different dish so that we could try each others. The Lasagne bolognese was very tasty. The gnocchi was very fluffy and wonderful. You will enjoy this place. But it would be very kind of them to mention that they only take cash. We barely got out with what we had. They only have a very small sign on the door that we all missed and you would too.

Great dinner, I’m Italian and Via della Pace feels like home! 🇮🇹 If you step by, try the Carbonara!

This was our second visit. The first was a month ago when we were the only table. We arrived 5 minutes prior to the couple we were dining with and 8 minutes prior to our reservation time. The server we greeted us told us which table we would have once our entire party arrived. 5 minutes later we were told by the owner that we would have a table closer to the door. He was the owner and that was our table. After attempting to dispute I gave in and then he let let us have our table. He wasn’t going to let a woman tell him how to run his business! My “grilled octopus “ appetizer was boiled and nauseating. Although I left every piece of octopus on the plate no one asked me how my appetizer was. The service was very slow throughout. No one asking how our food was. They added an automatic 20% tip to a 4 person table which is ridiculous. Never again. Avoid this place.

first time i’ve visited this restaurant in winter - and boy was it cold. they need to invest in double glazing. my wife had to wear her coat during the meal. as did the couple next to us. if you’re going to go to this restaurant and it’s cold outside, then do not sit on any table by the windows. the food, as always, was exceptional.

First time here, like there atmosphere, feel like go back to dine in to the old Italian restaurant, food was ok, not bad, service was fine. But when i went there that night , they got slammed by customer came in almost same time. So, i totally understood it. One thing I don’t like is table is very small, it is too small to put all thing you need on the table, 2 big plates of entree’s, 2 glasses of drink, 2 glasses of water, 1 big bottle of water, 1 bottle of olive oil, 1 bottle of vinegar, and utensils, and 1 candle... i wish table would be bigger.. oh, one more thing , it is cash only

Try to go here at least every other month. Very small and cozy. Food is always good. Ambiance is nice too. Plenty of street parking.

The food is authentic and impressive, even for someone who's super picky about Italian cuisine. The service is great, making you feel welcomed and well taken care of. The value for what you get is spot on. The ambiance adds to the experience, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere that's perfect for a nice meal out. It's a fantastic spot for anyone craving genuine Italian dishes in a charming setting.

This cute restaurant has a lot going for it. The staff is friendly and welcoming. It’s small and tables are close together but the service is good and the food was tasty. I would give this restaurant 5 stars except that we ordered an appetizer, salad and main course and all 3 were delivered to our table together. So in order for our main course not to get cold, we had to eat it first then the appetizer and salad :-(. The music was also super loud which made it hard to have a conversation.

My daughter who lives in NYC had never heard of the place, but her Texas mom had, because the owner was in the family seating box of Italian tennis player Matteo Berrettini and the commentators kept saying that every day of the U.S. Open Tennis Tournament, Berrettini would eat there, so I thought...if an Italian boy from Rome ate there every night, it MUST be good, and it was! Authentico! Loved that the door was open, welcoming you in each night. The wait staff is all Italian, too. I got the Lobster Ravioli and it was great. Prices are between $12-$21 for the most part. Cozy and intimate. Will definitely go again!

I get delivery from Via Della Pace quite often, its one of the few very good restaurants that actually delivers instead of just available for pickup, the Roasted Chicken and Penne Mint Pesto side are my favorite. I have also been for Brunch and it was just as good, they do have tv's so it can get loud for Brunch, but I dont mind much at all.

I had dinner at this restaurant with my wife during my stay in NYC. I had a great cheese and pepper and a fabulous matriciana. Better than in Rome I would say... sincere congratulations! Hospitality and sympathy to the maximum. Price also the Italian... great. I hope to return maybe on the occasion of the US open.

We decided to eat here at a dinner of our stay in New York. Really great and recommended, average prices with the city. I got a really good carbonara, much appreciated after so much junk food. Young and kind staff, attentive to satisfying the wishes of customers! Recommended!

Italianness at the highest level from the dish to the restaurant. I ordered a Cheese & Pepper, VERY GOOD. Cooked to perfection with all balanced ingredients.

We typically avoid eating Italian abroad but in New York a long stay ultimately makes the choice almost inevitable because it is really difficult to have a decent lunch and dinner. We chose this restaurant not far from our hotel attracted by the positive reviews and I must say that it went even better than expected. Fabulous focaccia served with olive oil, excellent aubergine parmigiana, pasta alla gricia very similar to one of the typical ones eaten in a restaurant in Rome (the only slightly off-putting note was the grated cheese on top which didn't really look like the best pecorino but certainly better than others eaten in Italy), Milanese with rocket and cherry tomato salad, very good. Excellent coffee and after days of terrible American coffee it is an excellent thing, truly excellent. The staff is Italian, speaks Italian and is very kind

Went for an early dinner with my wife. We ordered two glasses of red wine, asparagus with shaved parmesan and balsamic drizzle (delicious), rigatoni with capers and black olives (delicious), and chicken with mushrooms, mashed potatoes and green beans (delicious). So you may have noticed everything thing was delicious and I didn't give a five star rating. Well that's because we finished in about 40 minutes. Although the service was friendly, not sure why they moved us along so quickly. We don't want to sit there all night, but we'd have been more comfortable with a more leisurely pace.

This is a veritable gem of a restaurant with the feel of a big Italian city establishment, where orchestrated chaos meets excellent cuisine and service. The staff is outstanding and handles the packed restaurant with remarkable efficiency and joy. The food is fabulously delicious, from the antipasti to the pasta and meat dishes. A meal here is delicious, exciting and fun! Don't miss this place.

Great Italian restaurant that is open till late (1am!). Sister and I shared a bruschetta, salad and gnocchi plate over some wine. Everything was marvelous and staff is incredible friendly.

We stopped in for a quick bite before a show at Orpheum. We just had appetizers but they were great. Prosciutto and melon , meatballs and asparagus. Nice folks and atmosphere. Would have given a 5 but this is cash only. They have ATM on premises but no one likes a surcharge for using card.

The food is awesome. The atmosphere is awesome. The service was great. The restaurant was clean and cute. The only issue was that it is cash only and there is not an obvious sign telling you so. I would go back and just take plenty of cash. Panna cotta it is amazing. Try it!!!

With a rave review in the New York Times about Italian tennis players eating here during the US Open, we were lucky to get a table, even on Labor Day Weekend. It’s common to find players, families, coaches, etc “at what has become the Italian players’ cafeteria and lounge each year during the U.S. Open.” Three of us shared a generously sized salad, Abruzesse bruschetta (with smoked mozzarella), Rigatoni al Brucio (reminiscent of puttanesca), Gnocchi Tricolore (pesto) and tiramisu. I was in awe of the salad dressing and pasta sauces bursting with flavor without feeling the slightest bit heavy. Our server was spot on with recommendations and was not demeaning of our lightweight ordering. Many restaurants in NYC are worthy of returning to, but Via Della Pace is one of the rare eateries I also look forward to introducing others to.

I noted the negative reviews and they appear to have been posted by out of towners. I am native New York and a child of Italian immigrants. With that said, I feel at home at Via della Pace. The food is authentic and hospitality is true to tradition. This is my favorite place, and my husband too. He immigrated from Italy and gravitates to Via. Excellent food, vibe and service.

I found this place totally by chance, and what a great surprise !! Being Italian, I am very wary of Italian restaurants in NY, but this one is very real and very good ! I had an excellent rigatoni carbonara which couldn’t have been more perfect, with some very food wine. All fairly priced. Very friendly staff and fast service. Thanks !

This is a tipical Italian restaurant in the East village. The furniture is special and looks like a tavern from Rome. The waiters are great and I spent a great night with the owner who is a very pleasant guy. The food is simply delicious and truly tastes as the original Italian dishes. Super recommended

We ate at this lovely little authentic Italian twice during our 1 week trip to NYC. Prices are reasonable and the food is fantastic. The restaurant is only small and gets really busy (especially on weekends) so I’d suggest making a reservation to avoid waiting. Cash only. I’d highly recommend the Rigatoni del pirata and the home made tiramisu is the best that I’ve had outside of Italy.

Loved this place....it felt like being in Rome on a Sunday afternoon....rustic surroundings and authentic food. ...the bruschetta was delicious and flavorful...the pasta with pancetta another good choice but the chicken with sage flavors was hands down absolutely outstanding!! could have eaten it twice in addition the panna cotta was one of the best we have ever tasted.....substantial not some half watery dessert i have often tasted in other restaurants...also worth mentioning the salame di ciocolatto .... a very enjoyable meal.... i did notice on some of the reviews negative comments about the service and have to absolutely disagree ...our waitress Chiara could not have been more attentive and i noticed she frequently surveyed the tables to make sure all customers were properly served.......i did notice in some of the reviews that a 20 percent service charge is included and if that was the case it was an oversight on our part as we left an additional 20 percent.......but Chiara's service was worth the addition ..just be mindful to look for this on your check if in fact they still use this...... good atmosphere..good food...good service ...what s not to love? will definitely go back.

I was there yesterday night with my 2 old kids, I called before to make a reservation, they told me we can't take reservation for only 3 people, at least should be 4. But finally they took my reservation for 3. As we arrived they installed us in the room downstairs who's clearly not so nice as the principal room upstairs. We were seated on a table for 2 people as we were 3 ! 2 big table of 12 and 8 people was empty just nearby...I can not put my legs under the table as the table was too small...I will not go back and not recommend it. I also like to go to restaurant for a nice service, it's absolutely not the case of this one, client doesn't matter, just our cash does...they do not accept card !!

NYC has a gem of an Italian restaurant. Authentic local spot with great food and impeccable service. Recommendations spot on and Ricardo was first class.

My grandfather came to New York when her was 10 years old and lived there until a young man .First time back in 58 years. Went and had dinner and the food was delicious ,and the waiter spoke Italian to my grandfather and that was the frosting on the cake!!

Writing a review just to complain about the way they write in the tip! It was two of us dining, and the bill came to $49 or so. They automatically included a 20% tip and billed us $59.30! And the payment is cash only, which in New York City is weird because who carries so much cash around? I payed with a $100 bill, and they coolly returned $40! Yes, 70 cents is not much but it’s on top of the 20% tip! Feeling totally ripped off! Otherwise service was good and food was ok, though choices are limited. The only pesto pasta was a vegetarian option with beans and potatoes, and there were no aglio olio options. With so many options in east village, this one is missable.

If you want to feel in Rome away from Rome you have to go to Via della Pace. One of the best “cacio e pepe” eaten in my life! And it's not that easy! Not many choices but the ones there are are special. Wonderful welcome speed in service.

Really good Italian food in nice cosy surroundings. Waiting staff not overly friendly but efficient. I quite like that style so doesn't bother me at all. The chicken wrapped in ham was really exceptional. Great range of brushette to start. We didn't arrive until well after 10 with no booking and no problem at all.

The atmosphere is charming.... it is crowded but a happy place AND the food was delicious. We shared a salad that was fresh and nicely seasoned. The lobster ravioli was very light and the sauce just right - not heavy at all.... left feeling full but not overstuffed! Good wine and a very friendly and knowledgable staff!!

My worst experience in five decades of New York dining. We were having a nice meal with out-of-town guests when we were told to give up our table even though our expensive wine glasses were full. Manager was extremely rude. NEVER going back.

What to say... The environment is amazing, Giovanni and Marco (the owners) are amazing and make you feel home. Antipasti were my favorites. Try the Burrata and the Tagliere Salumi e Formaggi, you would not regret it!

One of the best Italian meals I have ever had. Good service and given the reasonable prices, quite a good value. Cannot wait to return.

Via Della pace , what can I say? You are a little slice of heaven, in a big city with lots of dining choices. From the minute you walk in you are treated like family, your food is exceptional, your ambiance is comforting.I have been there many times( from Australia) & it's my look forward to restaurant.I was in two minds whether to write a review, as I'd like to keep this secret to myself, however, you deserve to be recognised, I only get to NYC once a year, so that would be selfish ❤️
Real Italy in New York
If you want to feel at home and eat divinely well, as is better than in Italy, on your trip to New York you can not miss a visit to Via della Pace. Warm and attentive welcome and great food. Carbonara and amatriciana cooked to perfection with strictly Italian pecorino and tomato bacon and homemade pasta. Pinsa very light and crisp. The children are then super pampered by the staff. During our trip we went back twice because the other nights there was no place otherwise it would always be a fixed stop. Highly recommended!!!
