The service is super, the surroundings wonderful. Food is good but $60 for pancakes, tea and juice is just too excessive.

The setting alone is worth seeing. The property is beautiful and Villard is quite breathtaking. We had the farmhouse popovers, avocado toast, lemon mascarpone pancakes, and the villard omelette, along with some berries and the fresh pressed "gold juice." Everything was delicious. I would highly recommend trying one of the fresh pressed juices. The service was very friendly and professional.

Beautiful Dining area. But steak and eggs for breakfast was extremely overcooked and the wait staff for the table was unfriendly. Other service members were very friendly but our waiter treated us cold and indifferent. Cost of breakfast was $140 for two people, at that price point you would think your waiter could at least be friendly.

Beautiful restaurant in The Towers at New York Palace hotel on Madison Ave. in NYC. We ate breakfast there each day of our stay. Like Tiffany's, it was very expensive, about $220 for four people. The banana mascarpone pancakes were delicious, light, and fluffy. The brioche French toast sticks also were delicious and never got soggy. Their light crunchiness was perfect. My two fried eggs over easy had the right amount of brown crispness from frying but the yolks were still runny, no uncooked white. The croissant reminded me of the ones I loved in Paris, buttery with flaky thin layers. I had the Garnet everyday: freshly made juice combination of beet, orange juice, and something else. Delicious for a beet flavored juice. The hot chocolate was delicious as well. Being inside the hotel, it was very convenient and never seemed too crowded or loud, a great beginning to the day.

In such a magnificent hotel, Handsome Companion and I were disappointed at best in our breakfast here. Service was choppy. The fruit on the fruit plate was not ripe. We ordered the same breakfast, the omelet, but because mine was egg whites only, my omelet was 1/4 the size of H.C.’s. It was over in three bites and just not that good. The potatoes were so salty as to be inedible. There are way better breakfasts in Manhattan. It was just not it.

My daughter and I visit NY a couple of times a year and have for over 10 years running. I never stay any place other than The NY Palace. It's now home away from home. We had breakfast at the Villard and couldn't have been more pleased with the food, but especially the service. Nikola was so pleasant and engaging with us during our meal, we found ourselves laughing heartily with him. This experience just cemented our love for your hotel. See you in a few months!!

Top class, super clean, especially beautiful breakfast creations! I highly recommend this for a superb Sunday brunch. The waitstaff is extremely efficient.

It is a nice experience having bkfst in such place with I am sure some very historic events concocted within those walls.

A really beautiful room with a great breakfast selection. Fresh fruit platter was spectacular in its selection and presentation. Each piece of fruit was perfect. There were four people at breakfast for two days and each breakfast was superior. Excellent service!

The food and service couldn't be better and the room is gorgeouys but the prices are purely designed for expense account business travel. Don't get me wrong -- the food was great and the staff is charming but $8 is a bit steep for a glass of Orange Juice even in NYC..

Don't expect to eat and run for Breakfast..enjoy the ambiance of the beautiful dining room at the Villard. Pricey breakfast..but worth it!

Fantastic restaurant inside a beautiful hotel. Very high end breakfast that's well worth the cost. The breakfast pizza is amazing and the billionaires bacon is a must for the table.

While staying at the New York Palace Hotel, I sauntered into this gorgeous golden room and was immediately drawn in. Having had dinner elsewhere, I made reservations for breakfast before flying out of town. Upon arrival the next day, we were immediately warmly greeted by two hostesses, and escorted to a table shortly thereafter. As we were seating, there were already two service personnel at tableside. One requested our choice of water while the other asked if we wanted orange juice and coffee. The orange juice was either fresh squeezed or a darned good substitute. The coffee was hot and incredibly distinctive. I struggled to decipher whether it was from Sumatra or something else. It was bold and very flavorful without acidity or offensive strong taste. That's a fine line to skate. The breakfast menu is varied and we chose the American breakfast which consisted of two eggs, sausage or bacon, house country potatoes, bread and juice. It is not ridiculously priced even though it was $36.00 per person. The ambiance alone should have a per person cover charge, it is that beautiful. The walls and ceilings are reminiscent of the great European palaces. The wait for the food seems short due to the fact that it takes time to take in the elegance of the place. Everywhere you look there is a detail previously ignored. The food keeps pace with the decor. The eggs were perfectly cooked as were the sausage and bacon. Every dish looked the part which was evidence that they understand that part of the experience is presentation. The attention to detail in the service was exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience which was much more than just a meal. You will be well served to make reservations. The entire restaurant was full when we had breakfast. I would imagine it gets just as full for lunch and dinner.

I had breakfast here when I stayed at the Tower. The interior decoration is very stately and creates a nice atmosphere. There are many different types of breakfast, and it's just as energizing as a London breakfast.

Villard in the Lotte Palace Hotel opposite the Rockerfeller centre in NYC is how I imagine the Vanderbilt's would've dined back in the day. The dining room is perhaps one of the most ostentatious in New York City and eminates history, airs and graces and old money. Thankfully the food lives up to the atmosphere. My french toast was probably the best I've had and left me regretful I'll measure many a breakfast against it. It's not cheap, my cappucino was satisfactory but you'd expect more for $10. The rest of the menu was expensive, however my meal and my dining companion didn't leave feeling ripped off. Go, if only once in your life, although you're likely to return.

A great place to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. Not only great for business meetings but also for family occasions. The ambiance is very charming.

We had breakfast in this hotel venue since it was included in our room rate. Otherwise, it is an expensive breakfast. however, the room is beautiful and the service and food were both very good. It was a great way to start our Christmas vacation, but is not for the budget conscious.

We stayed at the Lotte hotel and had breakfast every morning. The service was excellent and the presentation of the food good. The price of breakfast is on the high side.

We have visited this spot yearly for the past three years. Usually, Villard Restaurant hits it out of the park but this year, we found it lacking. Firstly, a 20 % gratuity is already included in the bill which is new. This would have been fine usually but the service was very slow. We never got our skim milk one time, and it took us over 20 minutes after we finished eating to get our bill. Even with reservations, our time to being seated was slow. The portion sizes have gone down dramatically but the prices remain the same. Last year, there were two slices of avocado toast - this year only one. Last year there were at least 3 kids pancakes, and this year there were only two. Now I know there has been an increase in food prices but this was still a change from the prior two years. A credit was included with out stay otherwise we would probably not eat here.

We stopped by for a glass of wine and some charcuterie. We were seated quickly and ordered. The snack was enjoyable. As time passed, the tables’ candles were lighted, the room’s lights were dimmed, and the music was turned on. Our server was changing shifts so we paid to give him the opportunity to leave.

Rude waiters who turned away a family staying at the hotel. Very over priced mediocre food. Don't recommend. The restaurant is beautiful though, but that's about it. There are many more places to eat in NYC for this kind of money. Cost us $90.00 for two for breakfast for eggs benedict and avacado toast.

The Gold Room at the NY Palace is gorgeous. You feel like you’re dining and drinking in a historic mansion, surrounded by features that would be in a museum. The service is excellent. We found the food good, but given how pricey it is, not quite up to snuff. We had just checked into the New York Palace and were starved, so came for lunch. The wait staff was very attentive and took good care of us. It’s truffle season, so I couldn’t resist the lobster Benedict with truffles, and my husband had the truffled scrambled eggs. The egg dish was perfect, and while the flavors excellent in my Benedict, the lobster was a bit chewy, which was very disappointing. We got the millionaires bacon which is beautiful and my husband liked, but I found to fatty. Also, my husband (and by chance someone sitting at the table next to us) ordered one of their special Bloody Marys. It was terrible. Both were sent back. Of course the restaurant was gracious and they were taken off the bill, but a cocktail establishment should be able to concoct a good $20 drink. The setting and most of the food were very nice. It was an enjoyable lunch.

Was made to wait 20 minutes for table despite having made a reservation for breakfast. The food was absolutely awful for the price. Not enough staff for how busy it was, everything rushed and stretched. V disappointing to say the least.

I recently enjoyed a delicious breakfast (lemon marscapone pancakes) in this beautiful setting. Enjoyed every bite.

We went to have some pre-dinner drinks at The Gold Room. Our server was Rigoberto and this guy is amazing. He was super helpful suggestion drinks, made sure we had everything we needed and really enabled us to have a nice time. I would recommend stopping in for a drink!

We had been anticipating our breakfast at the Villard Restaurant for many weeks. As soon as we made our plans to visit New York we knew we would not miss the opportunity to enjoy breakfast at the Villard. What a wonderful experience and what a fabulous meal. I had the Eggs Benedict which was excellent. We also took the the banana and bacon beignets, brioche french toast, seasonal berries and the flight of fresh pressed juice`which was refreshing and unique. Chef Alysson Caine stopped by our table to greet us and to give us a little history about the adaptation of the menu to the elegance of our surroundings. We are so happy that we experienced the ambiance and excellent service in the Villard. We will be returning on our next visit to the city in the fall.

My wife and I stayed for our 5th time at the Lotte Palace Hotel in February for our wedding Anniversary. We ate at a Villard twice during our stay and as usual it did not disappoint. The breakfast menu is simply superb, even the coffee tastes that little bit special and the service was excellent. A big thank you to Eddie Grant and all his team, keep up the great work. Geoff, Scotland.

Food was good, but wayyyyyy over priced. Eggs, bacon, toast, and potatoes= $36!?!?!?!. The portion was for a child. The waiter we had was terrible. If you read other reviews people complain about the service and I agree. They include a 15% gratuiuty which is why they probably don't care about the customers. Our waiter didn't bring water and didnt ask us how our meal was. Just came over with a check and didn't ask if we needed anything else. Place is for Booshie people.

The food at Villard was incredible, and the presentation was always very on-point. The decorations in the restaurant had a distinctly polished and European feel to it, with Renaissance-looking paintings and intricate glass murals (geometric designs). The overall atmosphere in the restaurant felt elegant and luxurious. However, the only off-putting part was the service. We went three times and each time the waiter was extremely rude in their services, being abrupt and giving off a vibe like they didn’t want us there. One time, the waiter asked if we would like any drinks, and since we had not decided what we were ordering yet, we responded that water was fine. Later, when one of us ordered a meal that came with a drink, the waiter did not ask for a preference, and we had to chase him down to ask about whether or not the meal actually came with a drink. He gave us a shrug and used a tone as if it was our fault and he didn’t understand why we were asking and said that when he had offered us drinks earlier we said we didn’t want any. Another time we had ordered coffee for everyone and the waiter swept by, filling two coffee cups and whisking away one of the cups. When we asked about that person’s coffee, he didn’t apologize or even try to be polite but simply sighed – seemingly annoyed – and brought back the cup with some more coffee. Everything we did felt like it mortally offended some staff there from the receptionist who seemed annoyed that we were sitting there waiting for a table to open up to the waiters who were unfriendly and irate. We wanted to love the restaurant so much, and the experience was especially disappointing because the food and everything else were outstanding and impressive. The entire restaurant was set up perfectly except for the unprofessional service.

Fabulous restaurant with wonderful food and service. Our waiter, Nicola, was the best! He made us laugh and not want to leave - very attentive. Thank you Villard for a wonderful time!

Amazing food and service. A special shout out to Nicola, who made our breakfast very special! The pancakes are incredible.

Maybe I should give five stars. It was really good. I had the avocado toast with poached egg and it was delicious, as was the fresh OJ. But I can't see five stars for a simple breakfast meal like that. I feel like they could have pushed themselves to create something more memorable. But it really was very very good.

Villard is stunning to say the least! Absolute wow! Had brunch here while waiting for our room. Everything is fresh and delicious. I would say to dress up a bit, as you will feel uncomfortable in jeans...although the staff is extremely pleasant and sweet...when you look around most people are in business or Sunday best attire. Food was a bit spendy but very good! It was fun to think of all the tv and movies filmed here. Did I say it was stunning!!

Food was good, service was good, and ambiance was lovely. Outdoor seating available in a beautiful courtyard.

We had Breakfast here. Have someone tell you about this gorgeous golden room. The monkey bread is a must as a breakfast appetizer!

My wife and I headed to Villard for brunch on Sunday to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We were married at The Palace, live in NYC and thought brunch would be an opportunity to reconnect with a special place. Alas, aside from still beautiful decor, the dining experience was rather ordinary, typical of hotels. We were surrounded by inappropriately dressed, inappropriately loud and inappropriately behaved hotel guests. The service was adequate yet somehow forced, as if the staff was trained to show you that they are superior -- perhaps an effort to justify the exorbitant prices. The food was quite competent (though I admit I prefer Eric Kayser's standards) but ultimately dining is about both the food AND the experience. Think of having breakfast at a hotel when on the road and the only thought in your mind is let's get this finished so we can go back to the room, use the facilities and get on our way. After a few minutes at Villard, we were equally ready to be on our way.

The Villard is a grand and beautiful series of rooms. Our server from British Guyana was outstanding and made our day with her warmth and personality. Thank you.

One of the best avocado toast EVER !!!!!! Looks like a painting, almost don't want to eat. Simply wonderful

I was in town on business. I ordered the American breakfast- I think I may have received like 4 or 5 scrambled eggs, there was so much. I probably could have split it with my husband. I also got a huge bread basket and pot of coffee. Again I think it was so much food I could have split it... Great quality, impeccable service, beautiful room.

I ate a very expensive breakfast here. Restaurant is very dark. Prices are very high. $40+ breakfast did not include fresh OJ. Too dark to read my newspaper. Did not enjoy.

The atmosphere was lovely! It was pricey which is why i went with 4 instead of 5. The value for the price wasnt there. I spent over $100 for two of us to have eggs and pancakes. The bacon has a little heat to it. I liked it, but you may not if you are not into that. My daughter is very picky but she ate all of her food so it was worth it. You're definitely paying for the atmosphere and just being in NY. I'm glad we experienced it once, but there are so many other great breakfast spots in NY that I probably would try those from now on.

I visited the Villard many times while I stayed at The Palace and I loved it so much! My mom and I always ate breakfast here and it was so good! We would get the oatmeal and orange juice it was perfection. Melissa was our server and she is the best!! She makes sure you get everything the way you want & is so kind!! Thank you so much to Melissa & the Palace. We will definitely be back thanks to her amazing hospitality & service.

We tried breakfast one morning while staying at the Lotte Palace. They were new and had just opened a week or two earlier. The service was slow, and everything was overpriced. Nothing special about the food either. Not worth it.

Came here for breakfast. Food was excellent. The architecture and décor are very cool. Would highly recommend.

I stayed at the Lotte Palace for 3 nights and had breakfast every morning at this restaurant and it was very good. The place is beautiful and the service very good. I highly recommand it.

We had brunch there yesterday and enjoyed it thoroughly. Our waiter, Nicola Vendola, was efficient, charming, informative, and helpful. When we asked about the building and the restaurant, he filled us in and went out of his way to provide us with a history of both. The menu included unusual items, including faro porridge with fruit, which was delicious. The setting is baronial without being overwhelming. It's a splurge, but well worth it.

The pastries come from the lobby bakery, and are great with the marmalade and other confiture provided at breakfast. The service is pretty good, and they provide the NYT, the FT, and the WSJ for guests to read at breakfast.

Inside this iconic property, lies the Villar’s Mansion. Steeped in gold leaf everything, this is a feast for the eyes. All tops!!!

Located in a 19th century mansion just behind St. Patrick's Cathedral, the Villard just for itself is worth be within. The great spaces decorated with gold make you travel in time. For sure try the Farmhouse Popovers and the Thick Cut Billionaires Bacon!

Breakfast was included in our Towers package but the food and service was just fair. Eating breakfast for under $100 for 2 was not easy.

I'm not a breakfast person, so I can't do 5 stars based on actual breakfast food I ordered, but I can say that the green juice is excellent. I ordered it every morning and even requested a go-cup for the ride to the airport on the last day. The other items I ordered were breakfast basics, but very good, i.e. scrambled eggs and bacon. Others in our party ordered shrimp and grits and eggs benedict and were very happy...5 star happy. Great coffee, impeccable service as one would expect at a hotel of that caliber. Definitely try the juice or the juice flight, though. You'll feel like you did something good for yourself.

Brunch at Villard was outstanding. From the quality of the food to the level of the service, it was very special. Nicola is one of the best waiters in the industry — he will make you feel right at home!

What is not to love about perfect service and an excellent menu? This is a great addition to The Towers.

We stayed in the Lotte Palace and had breakfast at Villard on two occasions - both were highlights in a fine dining trip to some of NYC's best restaurants. The menu creations were not only beautiful and interesting but used the finest products. Villard is taking breakfast in New York to a whole new level. The restaurant itself is exquisite and we found the service excellent, and the manager, Eddie Grant, could not do more to please. We also dropped in to the Bar for cocktails one afternoon - one of the most beautiful rooms to take a break from shopping or sightseeing.

Had a wonderful experience overall! The Manager Chris Antonacci made my birthday brunch even more special. Thank you for such great costumer service! Will visit again soon.

5-stars for Nicola, our delightful server at Villard. A consummate gentleman and professional, he turned a very nice breakfast into a delightful morning experience.

I visit the Palace hotel at least 4 times per year and I always thought it was off putting because there really wasn’t anyplace to have breakfast. What a lovely surprise! Good breakfast fare and attentive service from Nicola. Nicola was great and funny we enjoyed him as much as our eggs!

Also advertised as the gold room we came to Villard for after dinner cocktails. The all gold room in the original mansion is quite stunning and you can’t hardly help gazing to the ceiling in astonishment. We had a very friendly and accommodating waiter who was knowledgable about the property and answered all my history related questions. He also invited me to go visit all of the rooms which I took him up on and the whole original mansion property is just spectacular. Enjoy the side car cocktail which spot on. I don’t know about the food but I can highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a great cocktail and a very interesting ambiance.

Beautiful property and dining room. Service is beyond terrible and food is not much better. In a city of great restaurants and otherwise great service at the property, such a disappointment. Go elsewhere.

A lovely place for cocktails or champagne. Service is amazing. Nicola and Melissa are so kind and attentive. The space is positively beautiful. The charcuterie board and cheese plate are fabulous. The Gossip Girl tie-in is fun.

Pleasant dining in an historic architectural designed environment that felt exclusive but inviting. Delicious food but could be pricey.

My mouth is watering just thinking about this place. The food was spectacular....Avocado Toast, Breakfast Beignets, Chorizo Biscuits, "New York Flatbread". I tried it all! Not only is the food wonderful, but the atmosphere is gorgeous. they call the bar area The Gold Room, for obvious reasons. Large mirrors, stained glass windows, vaulted ceilings, gold leaf everything! It is a very special place and I would definitely return for a special occasion....or a Magic show! :)

I stumbled upon this gem! The courtyard area was so incredibly inviting, clean, classy, and quaint! There was live music...a duo named "The Brave". I ordered the cheese plate. Delicious! Service was super friendly and professional. The entire aura was relaxing and just perfect! I'd love to visit again.

The trouble with a short break in NYC is that you run out of fine dining opportunities.. 5 nights 5 restaurants... The solution is have breakfast in the former Villard Mansion - you will eat in the finest dining rooms in NYC. You will experience a menu that inspires and top quality ingredients that will rival any of the City's top restaurants. All of this is served under the watchful eye of one of NYC's finest Restaurant and Beverage Managers, Eddie Grant who, year on year, continues to deliver with his team exemplary customer service. So, go on treat yourself ... you know you deserve it!

The food was good with a variety of unique breakfast options, not just your usual eggs, toast and pancakes. It is comparable to other luxury hotel breakfasts in price. The service was a little slow the morning we stopped, but they were fairly busy. The decor is just stunning!

Way too expensive and charges are not clearly mentioned on menu. Example: When you order oatmeal of 18 USD as per menu. They serve it with berries (12 additional USD) and banana (6 additional USD). 15 % Service charge. May be the last one is NY regulation..I am not so sure about it.

Breakfast menu selection was poor at best. The service was very limited. Getting water, cutlery, wait staff's return service to the table was painful. It is a beautiful series of rooms, but it was a let down with the meal and service. I literally had better service from a Chick-fil-a about 6 blocks from the hotel.

We had to wait a while for our table, not a problem but there was nowhere to sit. Again, not the biggest problem but there was a large lounge bar area next to the restaurant where we could have been seated while we waited. Waiting then became somewhat of a theme. 20 minute for a drink, a long wait on food etc. Our server was way too busy giving the table next to us terrible attitude to check in on us (just once would have been nice and enough to tell him how disappointing the food was). My $60 breakfast was worth 1/6 of that and I will not only not visit here again, I will also not stay at the hotel if this is indicative of the service. For the first time ever, I struck through the service charge added “for my convenience” (nice of them to finally think of me). To add insult to injury they got my bill wrong, as they had with the table next to me. This place needs some serious work.

My husband and I stayed at the Lotte NY Palace for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and tried the Villard for breakfast a couple of mornings. The restaurant is wonderful, with its decorated ceilings and very elegant décor. The menu does not have that many options, but the ones I had were good (not great, though). On the first day I tried the eggs benedict with roasted potatoes. The potatoes were hard and not tasty. My selection on the second visit was the bagel with smoked salmon, which was good. The service, though... Veeeeeery slow and a little rude. On the following days, we decided to grab something faster at the Pomme Palais (another option at the hotel) and eat a seating area of the lobby. I recommend the spinach and ricotta croissant, and the fruit salad. Simple, but you'll save precious NYC time.

Berries, eggs benedict, and pancakes were the best of my entire life. Nicola our waiter made a big difference. It is worth the price. Do not miss it

We ate at Villard & The Gold Room and had Nicola as our server. He was absolutely phenomenal. He was attentive and efficient, but also so personable. Even more than that, he took the time to connect with my kids. The ambiance, food, and drinks were all 10/10. Nicola made the experience even better!

Very disappointed with recent breakfast. Was excited to invite a dear friend to breakfast at what has been one of my favorite spots whenever visiting NYC but this visit was subpar. We were seated directly next to another diner when there were several open tables in high traffic area and the waitress was less than friendly. I think the automatic gratuity discourages friendly engagement with guests. The ambiance was nice as usual which is why I gave it 2 stars but the poor service ruined the experience.

I don’t think I’ve ever eaten in a more stunning hotel restaurant. There is so much detail and elegance in both rooms I was constantly staring around me in awe during breakfast. The food here is fantastic and will have you full for a busy day. My husband and I tried the American Breakfast, Avocado toast, Lemon pancakes, popovers, and bananas foster beignets. Everything not only looked beautiful in presentation but it tasted top notch. The wait staff were so attentive, classy, and kind. This was also where I got to glimpse Serena Williams during our stay which was a great way to start off our first trip to NYC. If you are staying at this hotel you have to eat here once.

Our hotel package came w b/fast for two daily otherwise we wouldn’t have tried second time. Food was decent but service both days was fair at best. First day, took 20 minutes for waiter to come back w check and they weren’t busy. Today, besides having a non friendly waiter, I asked for a to go cup in order to not bring the actual coffee cup back with me to the room. Waiter brought me a paper cup and tried to add an additional $8 to our bill “per hotel policy” for a second cup. Really? I can bring the actual coffee cup w me but have to pay $8 (again) for a paper cup? Had to wait a good ten minute for waiter to come by so I could have this removed from bill. If not included, I would pass. Too many good restaurants around to deal with marginal service.

It’s been years since this beautiful old mansion part of The Palace, was formerly the famed Le Cirque which we dined in back in the day when service was impeccable to justify the cost. Unfortunately even tho the ambiance and food is above average, the service, friendliness, and food options were below. In the end- it nets out to average. Family of 4: $280 for brunch. Keep in mind: Easter Brunch (menu attached) so you should expect even more. However, sadly no Easter or Passover decorations. Only dessert was cheesecake ! Not even chocolate! No chocolate on Easter?! A sin. But seriously, we ordered the bakery items in lieu of having bread to start and they all had that crispy, sitting around awhile first impression. The waiter never brought over bread plates and didn’t return for over 10 min so we used our saucers from coffee to put the croissants on. Not a big deal (not being stuffy) but again the high prices didn’t justify the lack of service or detail. The food was excellent tasting we all must say. Very small portions (but expected). Waiter did not make any conversation and did his job, but with a lack of engagement.

We stayed at the Lotte hotel on our vacation. We had dinner in the Gold Room. Nicola was our server . He was extraordinary! Seated us, served us cocktails, truly a gentleman and wonderful host. The room was magnificent. It was a a memorable New York experience for us Food was excellent Cocktails were excellent. We enjoyed the whole evening Highly recommend it. Nicola made it magnificent

I love this beautiful place for breakfast. The meals are always delicious and quick. The restaurant itself is beautiful and gives the classic NYC magical feel. Will def be back!!!!

Villard, on the site of the original La Cirque, has recently re-opened as breakfast only restaurant on the Lotte Palace hotel. Having a place to sit for breakfast is good for The Palace. The room remains opulent. Beyond that, there is little special to talk about. Capucino took forever to get, and the orange juice is not freshly squeezed. At the end of the day, eggs is eggs. What comes at the end of breakfast is a check that

Villard offers the sort of breakfasts you remember. The dining room is exquisite, the food absolutely perfect, and the service excellent. I enjoyed the American Breakfast which after my choices was: two sunny-side-up eggs, 2 slices of bacon, a variety of small breakfast potatoes, freshly squeezed juice and coffee. Tables are bit close at the back of the restaurant.

Rigoberto was engaging, patient, knowledge and provided exceptional service ! The gold room is beautiful and a great place for a drink !

We had a fabulous breakfast at the Villard, while staying in the Lotte New York Palace. Menu had some really innovative dishes that I have never seen . The "Ruby Red Grapefruit Brulee" (photo attached) was a stand-out. Also sampled the Lemon Mascarpone Pancakes, Thick-Cut Billionaires Bacon, Farmhouse Popovers, and Banana and Bacon Beignets, all of which were not only great, but different from what you'd typically find at a standard hotel dining room. Service was excellent -- our server Shoyeb couldn't have been more accommodating. Can't wait to go back -- those Lemon Mascarpone Pancakes are addictive!

I enjoyed a wonderful brunch at The Villard last weekend! Janos was very accommodating and our server, Melissa, was sweet and helpful with our menu selections. The Lemon Mascarpone Pancakes with warm bourbon spiked maple syrup were to die for. I treasure every moment of my weekends in NYC and this was the perfect brunch experience!

Very nice and relaxing atmosphere for breakfast or dinning. We had breakfast after early morning check in. The coffee is superbly fresh. The décor is rival that of the Yale Club. Very high Ceiling with decorative arts, you have a feeling of entering into a good time era. Just a wonderful time enjoying the meal with exceptional service.

One of the first things you recognize walking into the Villard is that the architecture tells you this place is special. Hand-crafted woodworking. Vaulted ceilings. Your expectations for fine dining are already piqued. And after a friendly conversation with Melissa, we were treated to a meal that exceeded our expectations. As a native Omahan, l know steak. Villard's steak & eggs blew me away. Great food. Great service. Wonderful experience the warrants repeat visits.

We had breakfast here each day we stayed at Lotte and it was just fine. Four stars instead of five because the seating for two people is somewhat "2nd place" vs larger parties. Place was full of incoming business folks each day. Not that noisy considering. Absolutely lovely dining rooms! Historic. To all those reviewers saying this is "expensive": really? Same cost as St. Regis with a lot better ambience. Go to Sarabeth's near Central Park 10 blocks away and you'll save $20 for two (I have records), but you know... long walk. Get the complete breakfast for $36. Or if you're tight, skip the juice on a la carte. Juice is the killer no matter where you go. Any breakfast plus coffee is NYC reasonable and quite good.

Many traditional breakfast choices. Food prepared perfectly with a flair. Comfortable seating, with beautiful architecture.

There are breakfast restaurants and then there is Villard. Usually, even the finest breakfast spots do little more than put fancy names of old time breakfast standards. But here, everything on the menu, even the most mundane continental breakfast to the brioche pudding french toast, everything was prepared to perfection and presented with panache!

The Mansion was an amazing site. I love the rooms and the people were extremely polite and helpful. It was my husband Birthday (which I let them know when I made the reservation) and they brought him a dessert with a candle in it.

Had breakfast with nephew and family. Very nice menu selection. Food good but served not hot enough. Service very good. A little pricey but a wonderful setting and we had a pleasant experience.

I wasn’t bowled over and I think there are better breakfast venues in NYC if I am honest. The staff were attentive however and were very helpful. The room is beautiful with a gorgeous painted ceiling. Very atmospheric. However overall I thought the menu was uninspired and the overall place lacked personality and vibe. Shame as the venue has so much going for it.

When one walks into the Villard, through the heavily wooden, crafted bar area into the even more crafted Villard breakfast room, frankly the last thing one would think. To order is shrimp and grits!! But I encourage you to try the dish... it’s exquisite! The shrimp are prepared perfectly tender, the grits are not heavy, but light, prepared with olive oil, and there is a dash of lightly spicy tomato for flavor with a lightly poached egg gracing the top. Splendid to fuel you for a day of museums and more! Other delicious breakfast items include the avocado toast... truly delicious. I never order this anywhere because it seems so overpriced but I wanted to try it here... it seemed very interesting. The pico de gallo sauce was fabulous, the presentation was wonderful. The toast was a bit tough but perhaps the chef chose a robust toast so it would not get soggy with the crushed avocado. They have the freshest tomatoes.... perfect pairings. A perfect egg accompanied the toast and the choice was perfect as well! On another day I chose the biscuit with chorizo sausage and it was less than wonderful. The chicken chorizo was too thick, too hard, almost like a well-do e hamburger. The biscuit was excellent though... a jalapeno/cheese biscuit.

Honestly we came here mostly to see the Gossip Girl bar they filmed at. It looks a little bit different now (they’ve remodeled) but you can still recognize it. We decided to eat here too. It’s VERY pricey. I tried the lemon pancakes and they were good. My mom had eggs Benedict and really enjoyed it. We both got bloody Mary’s...I didn’t like it at all. Tasted almost like straight vodka with a bitter kick. I couldn’t even finish mine but my mom didn’t mind it. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Overall it was a fun experience and I would come back, but it’s a little expensive to do often.

So we went with our daughter for her 18th birthday....she's a big Gossip Girl fan. I understand it's a posh hotel, but it seemed to lack in charm and warmth in the restaurant, something you do get at other lux hotels. Breakfast was ok...nothing out of the ordinary. My daughter had the American Breakfast, husband had Eggs Benedict and I had the Avocado toast....all fine, though the American breakfast plate looked a tad bland. We also had a breadbasket. Service is ok, maybe not overly attentive. We had to wait quite a bit to be able to pay, which is annoying. Especially when you have to pay 170 US $ for breakfast!

We were staying at the Palace Towers and decided to treat ourselves to a nice breakfast. The restaurant is beautiful, simply stunning. That is where it ended. We were seated quickly and ordered our food. My sister asked for eggs poached medium and when they came they were barely cooked. They returned a few minutes later with the same eggs cooked another few seconds and no where near medium. My eggs were so dry I could not eat them. I did not have a fork and when I asked our waiter for one, he turned to a 4 top table next to us with 3 people eating at it and removed the fork from their unattended spot and handed it to me...GROSS! We had to ask for a refill on coffee and our waiter never returned to ask if we needed anything after the fork incident. You too can experience this for $36 a plate. On a positive note, the restaurant manager did inquire on our way out if we enjoyed our meal and when we shared our experience he did offer us to come back (which we will never do) and then informed us he'd take care of the meal for us. Between him and the guest services manager, they did redeem themselves but nonetheless we will not return. There are many better choices for a great brunch in the city.

From the moment we walked into the sumptuous atmosphere of The Villard and Janos the manager greeted us, we knew we were in for a wonderful experience. Everything about the brunch was impressive. The food was top notch (perhaps the best omelet I've ever eaten), as was the service. Our server, Melisa, was incredibly informative about how the items were prepared and made our experience a joy. The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. I highly recommend this gem!

After I was seated, it took a while to get someone's attention. What I thought was a bus-person was more interested in clearing other tables first, when plenty of others open, then taking my food order, but I didn't think he was a waiter, then came back and took my order. He should have taken it first or got me coffee/water first. Then the food came out super fast. It was fair at best and pricey for what it was. I'd probably go elsewhere next time.

Awesome atmosphere as well as food and service. Reservations were easy to make, got a great table with prompt service.

We had Saturday brunch here. Though we had a reservation we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table - we were staying at the hotel. We had an order of pancakes and an order of French toast. The French toast was, by far, the better of the two. In fact it was delicious

The food here is actually quality good but the service is slow and inefficient. This starts from the hostess check in. I had to go into the restaurant to find someone to seat us the first day. The 2nd day they were just disorganized causing us to wait and wait to finally get seated. Free breakfast was included in our meal thus the 2nd visit. Our server took a while to get to us. I ordered tea. I had to ask several times to get my tea and when it finally arrived it was the wrong tea! On a positive note, the banana and bacon beignets with caramel sauce was delicious, the mixed berries and the avocado toast are fresh and tasty. Food is actually really good and plentiful. A 5 Star for the food but the service brings my overall rating down.

Came here every day for breakfast while staying at the Palace Hotel. It is VERY pricey, as in $26 for oatmeal and berries. I spent more on breakfast at Villard than on lunch and dinner, so price was definitely one thing that wasn't my favorite. However, ambience is AMAZING, and the Villard mansion is stunning. The food is excellent. Service moderate, some waiters seem very clued out. Overall OK, too expensive but really really beautiful breakfast spot.

The restaurant was absolutely beautiful. We were staying at the hotel and decided to have Sunday breakfast there. We found the staff a bit strange, not friendly. That said, the food was very good but very expensive. I am glad we experienced this restaurant, but wouldn't return.

$260.00 for four people, outrageous! And that is with 1 person only getting the fresh berries and croissant basket. Yes the price did include 2 bloody mary's but seriously? The eggs benedict was barely passable. No flavor at all, the hollandaise sauce was watery and the eggs were not cooked as much as I would have liked. The American breakfast for $36.00 tasted good but really could have ordered that anywhere else for half the price. In my opinion you are paying for the decor, which is very upscale and the history of the Villard Mansion. I think the convenience of Villard being in the Lotte makes people like us who are staying there go there. But honestly I did feel sort of ripped off.

We had breakfast here on our last day in NY and it was a magical experience. Such a beautiful, classical room, excellent service and food.

Very convenient hotel dining although a bit pricey. Expect $100 for breakfast. Mostly a business crowd so corporate expense accounts are probably the reason for the high menu prices.

We had Brunch here on Easter Sunday and the hostess was extraordinarily kind to us. The seating was comfortable and the menu offered a good selection of breakfast items. The Pastry basket was outstanding and sooo buttery, excellent. The service was good and we enjoyed the entire experience.

The prettiest interior, great views and fantastic breakfast! The staff friendly and accommodating. From power business breakfast to family friendly - the place to go.

……….to have a business breakfast in an elegant setting is fabulous; meals were fantastic, and service was great; I do recommend the Villard!

We love eating breakfast here in this gorgeous room. My sisters and I come to NYC every year for a girls trip and always stay at The Palace. Rashid and Alain are always our wonderful servers - they remember us every year (pretty amazing) and make our breakfast special with extra attention. These gentlemen are the best! This year we also had Mostfa at breakfast who was awesome. The food is delicious- the omelette and avocado toast are favs. Now that Villard has bar hours, we also enjoyed stopping here for a pre-theatre drink and snack. Hector was darling and always helped us. We enjoyed the cheese tray and crudites. A fun treat before an early show.

We loved the location and decor of the restaurant but were not impressed with the customer service or menu in general. We couldn't have a waiter to come to our table during the whole breakfast... they kept ignoring us. Food is ok, you can tell they use good quality ingredients, but after exploring NY during Restaurant week we were not impressed with the flavors. The French toast is like a brick. If they would skip the corn flake crust they would do it a favor. I couldn't finish the first slice and I can call myself "expert" when talking about French toast. Obviously there was no one to mention our concerns since we as other customers were ignored the whole time. It is a pricey restaurant. The continental breakfast includes coffee, but be careful because you will be charged for it anyways and we are talking about a $10 coffee! We expected better service. We also had another issue with the bill. We were over charged and sadly still trying to fix the issue. I wouldn't recommend it and will not go back.

This place has potential but they need to sort out pricing and service. Service every day was haphazard. Waiters forgot things, they took requests which never materialised, they got the menu wrong when asked questions so food we didn't expect arrived. They cleared plates away before everyone had finished and it was comedy at times. Some of the food was very good and other food was average. The lobster breakfast was priced reasonably given what came, but everything else was priced stupidly (how can you charge eggs and bacon a similar price to lobster medallions... it makes no sense). We went to a local city diner and had an excellent breakfast for $25. For two persons here we spent $148!!!

Left this late in the day on our trip & by far the best brunch in NYC. Lovely quality surroundings & great food & service. Highly recommended. Sadly no evening meals (yet !)

We had a drink here before going to the Chamber Magic show with Steve Cohen. The bar is amazing and the bartenders are very friendly!

I ate breakfast here every morning for 2 weeks. It was always delicious! There is sumptuous French Toast on the menu, and I ordered that often. DELICIOUS!

We have stayed at the Lotte Palace before, a few years ago, but somehow missed Villard (unless it was opened after our stay). This time, we took a 6 minutes' walk from Barclay InterContinental to have our Sunday morning breakfast at Villard. We are happy to report that the decision was right. First is the amazing interior. Cathedral ceilings, elaborate boiseries and intricately sculpted gilting, comfortable tables, all combine to convey the feeling of truly posh environment of the bygone days and the epitome of chic. The breakfast menu. Aside from the ubiquitously uniformed standard and boring breakfast fare, one could observe such interesting dishes as COUNTRY SHRIMP & GRITS (shrimp a la plancha, creamy white grits, cheddar cheese, truffle oil, the perfect egg, red pepper-tomato “jam”, crispy shallots/$30), BANANA & BACON BEIGNETS (sugar dusted, salted caramel rum sauce/$15) or FARMHOUSE POPOVERS (Gruyere, pancetta, sautéed onion, crème fraiche/$18). The food was very decent. The service very obliging. The prices are on the higher end, but not outward terrible. In NYC, and specifically in Manhattan, we are used to even higher prices, sometimes with lesser quality than experienced at Villard. However, they "get" you at the end. Our 4 cups of cappuccino translated into $40. We feel that $20 would be a more adequate pricing. Definitely recommended for breakfast purposes.

We came here on aSunday after church services and were very pleased. The service is outstanding. The menu selections are vast. The ambience is gorgeous. Great food, cleanly prepared.

Out of the 3 stays at Lotte, we only had a chance to eat here once and the breakfast is epic. The staff was extremely accommodating to our 6 year old's desires and made sure she got what she would actually eat!

Incredible setting in this place.. super prompt and efficient service. Very high level of execution.. good meeting place

Wonderful breakfast in a beautiful , but dark, room. Fast service but thorough. Love that they leave a pot of tea and coffee on the table.

Great food, some different interesting options in additional to breakfast standards. Nice view of Saks next door. Service was fast and kind. It's a little on the pricey side, but nothing crazy for a hotel restaurant. We had two mimosas, coffee, popovers, bacon, the lobster pasta, steak and eggs, and the pancakes. Totaling about $150, without tip. I would like to lie and say we were a party of 6, but sadly the two of us just love to eat a lot. :)

This was a great place. I love the menu, Best shared. intimate. However perhaps it was a slow or off day for everyone there? Perhaps they were short staffed? Perhaps it was the forced gratuitity no matter the level of service? Lots of waiting for more coffee, water etc. If you have a long time and dont mind long long meal times-- a plus but if you want to get on with it, not soo much. They are pleasant however when they come around. I noticed this with our waitstaff and also other tables

Had breakfast here since staying at the Lotte Palace. Very nice restaurant with the architecture around and rather plush. Our food was very good for breakfast, just expensive. Waiters are very attentive.

Love the Villard for breakfast or drinks in the evening. The rooms are breathtaking. Staff is very accommodating.

We stopped for breakfast and had a lovely waitress assigned to our table. We found her to be thorough and very pleasant. As we waited for our breakfast to arrive we enjoyed looking at the gorgeous room. The woodwork and windows were lovely. Our breakfast was nothing special yet expensive.

This is inside the Lotte New York Palace. They serve a wonderful breakfast, brunch and lunch. Beautiful setting, great service, delicious food.

If you're seeking mediocre food, and poor service, delivered in an attractive environment, this is the place for you!

We have been coming to the New York Palace for years. Location is great, but also breakfast at the Villard is always a fabulous experience. We were very well taken care of by our server Nicola. He is extraordinary! He went above and beyond ensuring that our experience was one to remember. Our last couple of days we even requested to be seated in his section. He knew what we wanted, the timing of it, our very personal choices on food, etc. Just extraordinary!!!!! Of course we will be back!!! As many times as we can!

Both the chef, Oscar, and our server, Melissa, are to be commended for such an amazing experience!!!

First, the receptionist greeted me with a very professional demeanor. She took me to the last table in the back in the corner. I politely asked if we could check for seating at one of the empty tables in the front room and the receptionist accommodated me. The restaurant has a stunning old world architectural design reminiscent of the Gatsby Days! The service was not good and the food was cold perhaps it sat before pickup. Cold eggs and bacon did not start my day off with a bag! My earl Grey tea was weak and the waiter dropped it off like a drive by ups delivery. The servers do not have much of an incentive to give good service as the restaurant automatically adds the gratuity. However for $56.00 I could have enjoyed a better meal at the St. Regis or neighboring Lowes Regency. Villard did not live up to the luxury of the New York Palace Hotel.

My wife and I stopped here for brunch and had a very nice meal. I had the eggs Benedict which were cooked perfectly and my wife had a fantastic Villard hamburger. The service was excellent. It was a little pricey but the food made it worth it. I would recommend this restaurant.

We went here for brunch. This restaurant has grand rooms in a grand building, and appeared to promise a very special brunch. While the pancakes and eggs benedict we had were very good, the service was just terrible. They didn’t have nearly as many waiters as needed for the room. We waited a long time for lukewarm, sour coffee and had to ask repeatedly for water. After asking for our Beignet "starter" several times as well, it showed up when we were nearly done with our meal. Quite a letdown, especially for the cost.

Some dishes better than others but CAVATELLI was great full of mushroom flavor. Quiet brunch not crowded.

Amazing churro French toast and avocado on toast. Mixed service. Excellent one day and indifferent the next. Was it because I did not tip? The bill had 18% service added already.

The room is a piece of art. If you don't want to eat there, you should at least have coffee at the bar they have. Food was very fresh, nicely presented and so good. Service very nice, kind and attentive, without being intrusive. I have to say that the coffee was incredibly good. Expensive, but worth every penny for the nice experience and food. Will definitely go back.

The quality of the food was good but the presentation of the American breakfast was below par. Check your bill as they charged us for coffee and juice which was included in the choice we made.

We celebrated my daughters 1st birthday in the Villard last year and we decided to go to the same place to celebrate her 2nd birthday this year. We were given the exact same table for 8 and by chance had the same server Melissa! Honestly she made all the difference in our dining experience. The restaurant is beautiful with amazing decor, the ceiling and paintings are gorgeous and the food was great but this place would never be as special with out the great service that Melissa provided for our family 2 years in a row! Sofia’s balloons this year were deflated when we arrived in the restaurant and Melissa took the deflated balloons and came back with it all fixed and inflated with a little teddy and a tiara for my daughter! She exceeded all expectations in terms of service and that made all the difference! I highly recommend this place and hopefully you meet Melissa who I’m sure will take very good care of you! Looking forward to our celebration in the same place next year!

Great shrimp & grits, eggs benedict & lemon pancakes are to die for. Stunning room and fantastic service.

Must come here for the avocado toast it is outstanding and Alain our waiter pays proper attention to every detail. An overall great brunch

We celebrated my mom’s birthday for brunch and were so fortunate to have Shoyeb Chodhury as our waiter! He took expert care of us and made sure my mom had a lovely celebration! The food was delicious and it was fun to be in such a gorgeous dining room! Thank you Shoyeb for taking such good care of us! We’ll be back and will ask for you.

This absolutely stunning restaurant is once again open - but for breakfast only. Quite frankly, it would be worth having breakfast at Villard just to see this unique room - but luckily you will get more. Excellent breakfast goodies like billionaire bacon, great service and reasonable pricing - all good.

Would you lile to visit a beautifull early 20th century mansion in NYC ... look no further breakfast at Villard will do the trick
Great breakfast
Always busy with business people but staff were very attentive and food was marvellous.Eggs Benedict were first class
