We had lunch there today, food was good but nothing special and mainly we were very annoyed when we saw a 19% added to our check without anyone informing us... Maybe because they noticed we're not American and were maybe afraid we wouldn't have left any tip, but still this is completely unfair and not justifiable, that's why we won't come back

We have been here for dinner with our three kids. The restaurant is bar bistro style done in a nice way. The menu consists of traditional dishes ( burger et al) and some more internatioanl dishes. The kids had burgers, we had salad nicoise. All was excellent, according to the kids the burgers have been world class.Friendly service.

Great Food, attentive service, cool old NY bar atmosphere. Nothing fancy but suburb Tribeca lunch or dinner spot. Not a tourist trap. Located next door to jfk Jr's last apartment. No wonder he liked this block. I'd have every meal here if I lived in the neighborhood!

We walked into a place to get a few strong drinks to warm up from the cold weather and found a place to be loud. Waitress wanted to seat us right next to the door and we had to insist on having a place away from traffic areas. People and waitresses were constantly bumping into our chairs. It tells you how tight the space is there. On the positive side, this place was cheap for the area we were in, according to my friend. Other than that, it has no real benefits. We ordered humus plate, shots of cognac and martinis. The latter were solid and didn't skimp on ingredients. All in all, it's a place just to have drinks. I would avoid taking a date there for a dinner, unlike some people we saw.

Quiet little spot near Canal Street...great music food was nice. Service was meh and you never know when you get people who have had a bad day etc so I always let that "go." I wouldn't die to go back but nonetheless a nice stop!

We loved Walkers! Visiting here from Atlanta, and the whole vibe was local, neighborhood joint. The drinks were great, good wine selection...food was very good, service was excellent, prices were reasonable...great experience all around. We'll definitely be back on our next visit!

Frankly I wasn't that impressed from Walker's: place could do with a little revamp (do not make me wrong: do not want another minimal impersonal place but a bit of cleaning and painting), service was rather slow and the place was rather far too much noisy for my liking. Hamburger was nice but not exceptional and the fries were over cooked....maybe next time I will try the restaurant next door?

Fun place i found in tribeca, feels like walking into a scene from an old american tv show. Sat at the bar and had a burger (amazing) and a white russian (that for some weird reason cost as much as the burger). The bartender was not the friendliest and he ignored me for a few minutes while chatting to another guests but i guess it goes with the ny experience... Would go back and sit at a table

We popped in here after visiting the ghostbusters building. We were soaked wet from the rain and were welcomed in to the warm, friendly atmosphere. We sat in the bar but there was lots of seating available through in the other side. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the atmosphere, we stayed longer then planned.

At first glance, Walkers' food is a gorgeous display of flavor and color. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere and the guests and staff are cordial enough, but there's one catch. If you order their fried oysters, you're setting yourself up for a dark and vomit-ous evening. About 2 hours after going home and getting into bed, I got quite a bad stomach ache that turned into a violent torrent of gastric dispare. I thought the episode was done but another hour later, an even larger torrent of burning pain entered my life... The reason I give this joint a "3" is because aside from ONE ITEM ON THEIR MENU YOU MUST NOT ORDER, everything, and i do mean everything is stunning.

Visited 9/11 Memorial and on way back uptown wanted a good, value for money meal in a nice setting & found Walkers. Made welcome, great food, Anna had the burger which was as good as any we have ever had(had a few!) I had the steak with mash which was very good, great service lovely chatty Argentine waitress not expensive and added to our perfect last night.

Me and my wife visited walkers recently as we heard thete food was really good.we werent dissapointed.there was a lovely waitress who was so kind and helpful. the burgers we had were 1st class and ot was very reasonable.absolutley loved our meal here.cant wait to return

I visited here for dinner on September 25th. I got the Southern Fried chicken with mashed potatoes and vegetables. It was very good tasting and I was very satisfied with the meal. The place is small and nice and has a good New York City feeling. Our server however wasn't the greatest. Not the friendliest, fast paced. Just not as good as usual. Otherwise it was great.

It is featured in a movie I stumbled on a few days before heading to NY, and I just had to come around. Quite a few 'locals' and I can see why -if I lived here I'd be to. Visited on New Years Day, great food, crazy specials, awesome vibe. Pity about the fire station, would've liked to visit

Great no nonsense, no attitude , local Tribeca spot. This is the place that has been here before Tribeca became cool and it has not lost it sense of grounded , New York, Neighborhood eatery. The bar is an amazing historical piece unto itself - old wood and classic 1900's - maybe older. The menu is simple but delicious comfort food with some healthy options. Lunchtime gets packed with Wall Street and business types from the At&T building but nighttime is for locals it feels like. Open till 4am - not sure what time they stop food - but I had a pasta at midnight on a Thursday.

I love Walkers. It is a unpretentious dining spot in Tribeca. Good solid food every time I have been here with good service. A fairly large bar area when you walk in with dining tables. There is also a back room for dining. Their prices are always reasonable and it feels very comfortable. A varied menu with something for anyone. The cuisine is American offer.

Great spot to visit with family - especially because it has a bar and crayons for kids lol . I find a lot of places are either one or the other but this is the perfect mix ! Try the tuna nicoise wrap and fried oysters ! Will definitely be back again !!

I come here often, Sundays nights there's free live jazz and it's a pretty serious affair as diners quietly dine near the musicians in the intimate back space area. But my fave thing is to sit at the bar, read one of their newspapers and enjoy a superb burger with a side of their heavenly mashed potatoes! I also love their salads, smoked salmon with pumpernickel toast points and their AWESOME staff! The nicest people who love their jobs and the bartenders are super cool, they usually bring their own tunes to play and it's nice to see someone REALLY enjoying their place of work. Walker's is like a second home to me, look for my scooter out front!

I've been going to Walkers since 1994, when I was working a couple blocks away. Walkers is not a tourist place; it has character. This is a place that you should go to experience New York like a New Yorker. If you want to see where working New Yorkers go to have lunch, dinner or for a drink, this is the place. It is a neighborhood place that cheerful, warm friendly & down to earth. It has a great bar staff and has great food at reasonable prices. Grab a stool at the bar, have a cold draft beer & make a new friend. The locals are friendly and happy to chat. It's kid friendly so you can bring your family here for lunch or dinner. Definitely recommended. Check it out! You won't be disappointed!

Feels like a pub. Good atmosphere and fast service at the bar. Staff are friendly. Couple of dining rooms out back. Good food. Nothing over the top just genuine pub food.

If you are looking for a place to go for a business lunch or just for a bite to eat in the area Waker's is not a bad choice. The menu caters to about any dietary restriction. The staff is friendly and the service is quick.

This was out go to place for late nights during the 5 night visit. The bartenders were all surly Irishmen but quite funny and they made a good drink. Very diverse crowd in here but definitely a great way to finish off the night. Plenty of people dining here each night but we did not partake. If staying in this area again, we would go back for the last stop on the way to the hotel.

Serendipitous find! We went walking to Bubbe's for Sunday brunch but the wait was (as should have been expected) huge.... so we went to Walker's for a wonderful brunch instead. We had a relaxing meal, read the NY Times and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

This place was the best place we ate at in NYC! The atmosphere is awesome and service was top notch. The food is also very good and their burgers are the best. We definitely will eat here when we are back in town!

If you want a great pub with an incredible staff and great food, than this is it. My home away from home. It's simply the best.

Walkers is one of a dying breed of old New York bars, and it shouldn't be missed. Besides the long bar and tables in front, there are two pleasant back dining rooms. Burgers and fries are quite good, but don't miss the corn meal crusted fried oysters. Service is good, and on Sunday evenings there is a fine guitarist in the back dining room.

We randomly walked by this place one evening before dinner and were thrilled we popped by. Perfect atmosphere for happy hour!

This old fashioned pub in North Moore St, downtown Manhattan, certainly know how to serve good quality bar lunches at affordable prices, my seared chicken breast sandwich with fries, salad and a decent helping of mouthwatering Coleslaw was less than $13, beer & wine were also reasonably priced, only downside - they could have made an effort to clean their back bar mirrors - unless they are so old they can't be cleaned

Great burger, cool, eccentric staff (who love Wilco too), and fantastic atmosphere. Sunday night jazz a backpocket fave too.

Walkers is a NYC and Tribeca institution, I have been going for years and visited again Friday night. Draft beer selection great, bar tenders who know what being a bar tender means. The kitchen is great ands serves restaurant and traditional bar food. We had the burger and fries and thin crust pizza both terrific.

We were meeting a friend here for dinner on a Sunday night. When we walked in, there was no obvious hostess so we seated ourselves at an open table near the door so we could see our friend when she walked in. I'm not sure the woman who evidently was the hostess but was not near the entrance when we came in, was entirely pleased by that but she let it go. Our waitress was assertive but attentive. The food was fine and quite reasonable in price by Tribeca standards. My salad Nicoise was decent though the tuna was bit overdone. While they have cocktails, I'd probably stick to the wine or beer. The atmosphere is of a local bar. It was a very comfortable place to meet a friend and catch up.

Popped by with my girl and directly got a table (take one in the more quiet part of the restaurant behind the bar). Waitress was funny, active and worth the tip. Food was served quickly and tasted really good. A nice detail: They have a glass of crayons on each table and before you start thinking about, you already draw on the table paper. We'll come back!

This neighbourhood place has so much soul. Sure the space is a little cramped and the service is very direct, but I wouldn't have it any other way. The burger here is hands down the best you can find in the city, always cooked to perfection with great extra options. The cocktails are also always made to perfection, I wouldn't order a manhattan anywhere else. What you get at walkers is great quality food and drink with no nonsense service and a quirky atmosphere. A great New York experience.

Wonderful pub restaurant selling a simple, but well cooked menu. Recommend the Cuban sandwich, toasted, with pork, ham pickles and Swiss cheese. Definitely finish with a Founders IPA. Definitely recommend this bar with a view of the Ghostbusters fire station, too add!!!

So happy our friends in the city took us here while we were visiting. They're in Tribeca and that's where we were staying, and this place had legitimately THE best french toast I've had in my life. Would come back here for sure.

Four of us met for dinner in this long established and well known restaurant. When a restaurant is in business for this long, there is a reason. There is something on the menu for almost every palate. None of us left unsatisfied.

I love at Walkers, have my own drink. It's a must if you want great pub food and a great environment. If you want to sit please go to the far end of the bar to be seated. There are three dining rooms aside from the outdoor tables.

Great food, good service, and yummy Bloody Mary! We arrived at 11 and there were open tables. The tables were nearly full by 11:30! The server was very attentive and the food was delicious! I had the eggs Benedict which were perfect.

This was our last meal in New York and a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the establishment is done out like an English "local" (pub). The food was excellent, especially my partner's chicken salad and my sirloin burger. The only disappointment was that we found it on our last day so we couldn't go back again on this trip!

Great little find, Good food and beer and not to mention the great local characters!! Highly recommend this place!

We were visiting NYC from Australia. On our trip some locals told us to go to Walkers for the best burger in NYC. We did and they were right. The food and beer was great and the service was fantastic.

Been coming to this place for over 10 years now and always give this place two thumbs up! The food is amazing especially the teriyaki chicken sandwich and the burgers. I always go for the roasted potatoes instead of the fries! The bar had an old world charm about it and the bartenders are all great no matter what time you go.

I'm so glad we stopped here to have lunch....it was recommended by the hotel concierge where we were staying! The food was really good and the staff was so nice! They give you huge portions, so you might want to split a dish!

we went here for happy hour on a Thursday. It wasn't too crowded the service was great. The drinks were Good.

Warm welcome was given to the whole family, we were visiting Ghostbusters location, on the opposite side of the road. Saw the bar and popped in for a warm up and a drink. We weren’t disappointed. We were visiting from the uk and were so glad to have found an independent New York bar, to have a few rounds of drinks in, with the whole family. Highly recommended

Close seating, too loud bar crowd, forget trying to get in if a game is on television. The smoked salmon is alright, and the chili is good, but the burger is mediocre for a bar, and less than that for New York City in general.

It’s the kind of place you want to wander into on a cold and windy January NYC night. It’s old, small, dimly lit and it’s a very local place. But it’s got a nice low key vibe. I sat at the bar and the 3 or 4 guys that were there or came through we’re all locals and known to the bartender. The white haired dude referenced in other reviews, Good guy and good bartender. If the food was better the sting would’ve been higher... it was just so-so. Decent selection of beer on tap, featuring European beers over local or regional crafts...

Worth the effort to get there, nice crown. Try the chili too. Barmen are most professional, that means they rarely smile but keep an immaculate bar.

We stopped here for some lunch and weren't disappointed. The staff are so lovely and very helpful. The food we ordered was filling and tasty. I had homemade French onion soup which was wonderful on such a cold and rainy day and my partner had a burger which was tasty and very ample in size! The portions were big and the food very good quality. Inside is cosy and welcoming. Would thoroughly recommend for both the food and excellent service.

We happened to stumble into this quaint place at lunchtime and were very happy about the good food the friendly staff served us. Cobb Salad and Shrimps Linguine tasted delicious and value for money were also right. This is where New Yorkers from the surrounding neighborhood eat. Just drop by and enjoy!

This bar is opposite the Ghostbusters Fire Station. The staff are friendly, very helpful and good food, so we also enjoyed a couple of meals during our stay. Go to see one, eat & drink at the other.

Burgers are good. But its not about the food.

STAY AWAY UNFRIENDLY OLD FART BEHIND THE BAR!!!!! Just left the bar 25.01.2020 15.40pm Stay away from this place!!!! Went with my partner as its right a cross from ghostbusters fire house, it was raining and we thought we would grab a beer. Firstly it's 9dollors for a Heineken (not the issue) paid with a 20 wasn't expecting change, he put our change back on the bar. Told him to keep the change with our compliments and again got completely ignored Issue is the old guy serving RUDE RUDE RUDE, OLD TIRED AND CLEARLY DOES NOT WANT TO BE THERE OR SERVE!!!! NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED us on serving or departure, no hello goodbye or thank you, went to fire House where staff said they won't even drink there for the same issue, DO NOT GIVE YOUR BUSINESS!!!

Nice place, good food and prices. The servers are very friendly! Chili was average at best. Hamburgers were excellent.

Went there because we heard they fed the firefighters after 9-11 when power was out everywhere else. Cool location by ghostbusters firehouse. Good was good, great hummus and chicken tortilla soup.

I was meeting an old friend for dinner downtown, and he suggested Walkers. I looked up their menu on their web-site, and I was initially skeptical, as it seemed to be a hodgepodge of cuisines and styles. I was pleasantly surprised to find delicious and inventive dishes, with generous portions. In addition, the atmosphere was casual and warm, and they had no issue with the two of us reminiscing long past receiving the check! A great choice in lower Manhattan.

We went to Walkers a couple of times as our hotel was in the Tribeca/Soho border area. It was packed but we managed to get a table the second time we went. This meant that the service was a bit slow. We stayed there until 4am the first time we visited and it was still packed when we left! The food was very good quality and the ambience was excellent too. It looks like a very popular place to eat and I can see why. Well recommended

Come casual for brunch on Sunday and enjoy good pub grub, a Rattaberger, and some live soccer on the television. Having been there on multiple occasions, I feel qualified to say this is not your typical pub. The menu is fairly complete, the table service is good, and the beer is cold. The meals have been consistently good and every time I'm in New York, I make sure a stop at Walkers is on my itinerary. It's walking distance to an upscale hotel (Tribeca Grand) and worth the shoe leather. Don't miss this one. It seems to be a popular spot for locals so, get there early for brunch. If you don't have the time to sit, they do take-out but, not delivery.

We were in need of lunch and a beer, so we stopped in to Walker's, What a great decision. It is certainly a locals haunt, some tourists, but mainly locals. Our server recommended that the Friday special is fried chicken with mash and green beans, you must order it...Well we did and it was really good. We liked Walker's, it was a little like stepping back in time in New York City to somewhere that had not been over commercialized. Next time we are in the area, we will certainly stop back in to Walker's.

We wanted to fill out some postcards and chill with a beer and some snacks and the local beer and delicious chicken strips were just perfect. The waitresses were both s nice and the crowd was great. I'd def love to go back there again.

great bar with really good service, super food - never disappoints. mix of premier league football and US sports on the couple of TVs but the volume is turned way down so if you're not a sports fan you won't even notice that they are on.

Wandered in here looking for a late lunch on New Year’s Day after we’d visited the Ghostbusters fire station (which is just across the street). Pleasantly surprised to find that a) they have much more seating in the back then it looks like when you first enter; b) service was prompt and the food arrived quickly; and c) the quality was solid pub fare all around. Good selection of local beers and great atmosphere. Would eat here again in a heartbeat.

Great spot-- old-school bar with better food than you'd expect and a menu that changes daily.

My husband and I had dinner there last night. he had a burger and I had a portobello sandwich. Both were excellent. We have been here many times and it is consistently good.

Walker's is a fine old fashioned pub in Tribeca which gets a good crowd. It used to be a cop bar back in the day, but now has an eclectic mix. They serve good pub food.

We found this place whilst just walking around and decided to pop in. Seamus is the most pleasant guy you could wish to meet. What a friendly place - great beers and we returned the following day for some food - wish we had gone earlier as absolutely great. Well done Walkers - you added to our New York trip! Jenny and Simon x

We were staying locally and visited this bar/restaurant several times during our trip. Very friendly and accommodating whether we visited with friends or family with a baby. Nice relaxed atmosphere and felt like a London pub. It's best to be seated in the front room by the bar as it got a bit hot and stuffy when we were a large party at the back of the third room. Sat out the front one afternoon and enjoyed watching various coach tours dropping people toff o photograph the Ghostbusters fire station. Good Brooklyn beer.....food varied.

The best burger on Manhattan? Nice beerselection in this cosy, local gastropub.

This small restaurant in TriBeCa is amazing. The food and the service were outstanding. Great dinner

Best burger in the area - their burger features beer, cheese, and a small roll, with onion and tomato served on the side of the plate opposite the potatoes prepared 'french fry' style. This was a memorable occasion with my friends and me as we all had horifically low blood sugar before sitting down and slamming some radebergers and burgers. Left happy and drunk but had to take a local train home. 5 STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!

We go to Walkers for brunch every Sunday morning and it is simply the best brunch for both the delicious innovative food and the ;price!

The bar was crowded with young folks on Friday night so I was ready to back out and go on down the street. But thank goodness we stayed! We were ushered to the back rooms where all the locals were quietly & happily ensconced eating their dinners. I'm from a chicken-frying state, but this was the best buttermilk, panned fried chicken I've ever had. And the mashed potatoes are to die for. Crisp salad, nicely done green beans. I just wish Walker's was in my hometown.

We both loved it here. We went in for 1 drink and stayed for 4 with lunch, the atmosphere is cosy and it’s what we imagined an old school New York pub to be like. There were patrons coming in who obviously had been frequenting for a good part of the last 20 years. All of the staff were really nice and we got chatting to a fun waitress from Scotland. The drinks are decent and the food was amazing, some of the best fries we had in New York. The chilli and fettuccine were both absolutely delicious: simple food, but done extremely well. The sea bass also looked stunning, but we didn’t have room for anything else unfortunately.

This place has been here forever, and deserves to be. A solid choice for a casual dinner or drink. Great burgers and salads.

An absolute pleasure to spend a number of hours in Walker’s. Johnny is an absolutely great host/barman. We had a great time in a great environment. A really good selection of IPA without being overwhelming, and a barman that actually knows about the beer they’re pouring.

I have eaten at Walkers in the Tribeca section of NYC a few time now without a review. I can honestly say I have never had the least bit of disappointment! The food is great as well as the friendliest service in the City. One thing I have noticed that this restaurant is very "Kid & Family" friendly! You won't find that very often in NYC and it's a great testament to their quality to serve and please "ALL" customers. Friday night is a favorite with Southern Fried Chicken that can stand the test with the best of the South. Bravo Walkers! Please, Please keep up this Standard!

Was seated next to a huge group of people wearing kaffiyas and a sign at their table that read “Zionism is Terrorism”. I asked for it to be removed but the restaurant said it was their right. I just wanted to have a nice meal with friends, not join a meeting of “antisemites are us”. Horrible service and atmosphere. This place should close.

love Walkers...great fresh food, cheap BEST BURGERS!!!

Have been going there for years. Covid killed it, I believe it ended up being sold. In any case, as good as it was that's how bad it is. Except for the authentic New York Bar esthetic it no longer has anything to recommend it. It's too bad. It was truly a great NY place.

On our last afternoon in NYC, after seeing the "Ghostbuster" fire hall we fancied a drink and a rest and saw this place across the road. We each had a glass of wine and we were given as well, these little warm muffins ( yummy ). This place at first looks small, but had 2 other huge rooms behind the bar. The staff were friendly and we loved the neighbourhood as it was away from the crowds and noise of Time Square. It had the feel of older NY, and more of a neighbourhood type of place that you would go to if you lived close by, if you were lucky enough to live here.

Going to Walker's was like going back on time. The bar made me remember the days when we saw the tv series Cheers. It's a place where you get simple but very tasty food. We went there to have a light lunch so we ordered a ceasar salad and the portobello sandwich. Both were excellent. Definitely coming back!

Just over the road from Hook & Ladder 8 Firehouse (well known for Ghostbusters but more importantly a ‘first responder location’ on 9/11), this little gem welcomed us 4 adults and 4 young people with well served Guinness, brilliant service and great value food in a super environment... Can’t recommend this place enough... We only walked in for a pit stop and stayed most of the night ... Happy to tip here, unlike a lot of the places we visited in NYC

So the whole bang shoot went to walkers ijn the evening except now we were `0 - thank goodness for the reservation and we were accommodated very well. EXCELLENT SERVICE, good aperos, food and drinks - love it.

We stumbled across this restaurant by chance and although busy, we were pleased that they could fit us in. Very informal and lively atmosphere, relaxed, good food and great burgers. Would definitely recommend.

great local bar for food/drink

Sure it's a little loud. It's a little tight. It's TriBeCa - isn't everything under $100/person? Convenient to Franklin Station on the 1 Line - so you can escape the Financial District. Great food from scratch with very fresh specials. Good bar and very neat food as well. Nothing overly fancy but well presented and it arrives quickly. Best yet, you are not rushed or overly queried by staff. Definitely a neighborhood vibe. So think good pub with good food and time to do some business with a check that won't knock you over. A standby for me when the crowd wants comfort food and some patience.

A good place for brunch in Tribeca. The menu is varied and fresh. The atmosphere is like an old English pub but the menu is American. The service was fast and the brunch was very good. Reasonable prices. Coffee is typical American(not strong) in a heavy cup.

The food was just ok, not good, just ok, and the service was very patchy. We were seated quickly, our drinks order was taken while we looked at the menu. The waiter came back, took our menus and that was the last we saw of him. We waited for him to come back... he didn't, eventually I had to ask someone else to take our order, which is frankly odd. My husband had the steak with a peppercorn sauce and I had the burger. Both of us was asked how we wanted our food cooked.... although personally due to the make up of a burger, i didnt think it was advisable to serve a burger rare. But maybe thats just a European thing? Sadly the burger had the texture of cat food, in other words, it was overly minced. For my taste and i think for anyone who is used to good food it was under seasoned and underwelming. The burger bun could not have cheaper if it had tried and the whole thing had that look of something that had been thrown together then squashed. My plate was small (think side olate) and considering you are buying the sides separately and they are also plated up with the burger, i felt slightly robbed. The steak was on a dinner plate and was cooked well, however the peppercorn sauce lacked any punch or flavour.... it was more of a watery jus. I'd asked for mayo and was advised it would come eith the meal.... it didn't, i had to ask for that again also. This was not a busy evening, it was poor service, lack of care and attention and mediocre food. This was my first experience of an american restaurant, so i was keen to experience great service and a great burger. I didnt experience either here. Would i return here again.... nope.

Was just walking in Manhattan and came across this place. Service was top notch...prices are phenomenal for the food you get. Staff is friendly and even gave us the drink recipe when we complimented about it. Definitely going to stop again when in town

Wanted to see that place as some local friends recommended it. It was great, food was very good, nothing fussy, just plain. Staff were very nice and always smily, service was very good and the price quite good too. Definitely recommended for a relaxing evening.

Nice neighborhood place for a quick appetizer and drink, or for dinner. The food was delicious. We sat in the back room by the front window....very relaxing.

Gerry runs a great outfit in tribeca. Lovely friendly staff with great food. Recomend the burrito! 😍

We walked by here on Thursday around 1:00 pm and it was very busy. On Saturday night, we needed to find a local place for 4 people (last-minute dinner). Called Walker's and they were able to take care of us. I had filet mignon, wife had sea bass. Both were perfectly cooked and presented. This dinner was one of the nicest we had in a while based on atmosphere, food and service. Not too crowded, we could hear each other talk, and the pace of the meal was good. Plus, very casual (jeans are OK).

Great neighborhood joint in Tribeca. Went with friends for a pre show dinner. Ordered the Cobb salad, meatloaf, salmon and Salsbury steak along with some drinks. Food was very good as was the service. Prices are very reasonable. We would return when back in Tribeca for sure

We were originally turned down for dessert but I asked someone else and we were able to get a table for 4. Had more cocktails and listened to live music while the ball dropped, for NYE.

We dropped in for lunch after reading a good review that said something like "relaxed, honest and reasonably priced". If I lived in TriBeCa I would eat here very often and waste many afternoons just sipping a beer in the warm but no-nonsense bar. Prices are moderate, servings are large and the quality is great. A good range of beer by the bottle and on tap, adequate wine list, and even some vegetarian options (I suspect by accident rather than design). Service was good, but relaxed, and honestly I could have stayed all afternoon.

good dinks...very good food....great people...not full of tourists! Walker's is a perfect spot to grad lunch or dinner downtown. Not too loud and not full of obnoxious people. Love this place!

I got in late to NYC and wanted something light to eat. Walkers was near our hotel so we took a chance and were pleasantly surprised. Overall, the bar is very noisy and the noise bleeds into the dining rooms, but it's not unpleasant. Food was very good and appropriately priced.

Walkers is a great neighborhood bar/restaurant and we've been going there for years. The service is friendly, the food is good - it's great for a cold beer and amazing burgers and fries (and other choices, of course). Reservations required for weekend evenings. We highly recommend Walkers.

Went to Walkers after many years. Much of the place was the same as my last visit, including some of the staff I recognized. My food was acceptable, my companion's dish was excellent. The service was okay. The neighborhood has changed a lot since my time, many more thousand dollar baby strollers than once upon a time. So, I don't know your tolerance for yuppie-ness, but if you're into it, try it.

On a girls week trip to NYC, we stopped in to Walker's for a bit of lunch and adult beverage. The decor is rustic "old-school" pub. I found it to be completely charming and reminded me a lot of a country general store that my grandparents ran when I was a small child. Our waitress was outstanding, both friendly and helpful. I had the lamb shank and my travel companion a sandwich of some sort. Both were perfectly prepared and very tasty. While we were there, we were fortunate enough to meet the owner and chat for a bit. He had many great recommendations of where to go and what to see while in town. I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch at Walkers and would recommend to anyone.

Who knew a pub could have such great service, wine and food. We had the burger (excellent meat, cooked perfectly, nice fries) and the fried chicken sandwich special (very good). Generous portions at reasonable prices, what more could you want! Very charming dining area in the back. A neighborhood gem!!

I had a night on my own in NYC and wanted to watch the NBA finals somewhere with a bit of atmosphere. Walkers was perfect - a delicious burger (huge!) and very friendly staff and locals. Highly recommended

We went to this place with in-laws and we were absolutely charmed. It seems like a typical oldie worldie new york bar resto with wainscoting on the ceiling, tin on the walls and a real rabbit warren of passageways and side rooms off the main bar which much quieter and more conducive for a pleasant conversation. We had the special salad of the day with the house fries - both of which are to die for, various beer IPA's etc and it was great. Top that off with music supplied by a guitarist and bassist and simply put - a memorable evening in tribeca. We shall return hopefully very soon. Service was fast and efficient as well.

So Walkers is a decent place in NYC, but the decor is old, the place smells like the old bar it is, and their food is decent. Certainly not somewhere to impress anyone with, but not bad for a beer and a burger.

Supper with two kids tonight was great. Cece was our waitress and she was fantastic! Bruschetta, Caesar salad, chicken fingers, and shrimp linguini were all fantastic. Had to drop one star for the bit of rude treatment we got when we walked in. We stood inside the door for a short bit and nobody greeted us or acknowledged us. There was no sign to indicate whether we should just seat ourselves or wait to be seated. Eventually, we assumed it was a seat yourself kind of place but as soon as we tried to sit down at a table, one of the waiters told us quite rudely that the table was reserved. There was nothing to indicate that so no idea how we were to know. We ended up sitting out back and thankful we did. It was much quieter and Cece was great!

Friendly service and good food! Good pit stop on the way to world trade centre one and right next next to ghostbusters fire station!

we were walking and found this place. We loved to see the people who are inside but also who walked outside . This was a local place. Beer was reasonable priced and the food good. The waitress always smiling and helpful. They added the tip to your bill (not so nice). I loved the atmosphere here.

The food is not bad, the atmosphere is amazing, the people a cross section of old and new regulars. Pricing has something for everyone. I did ask for a rare burger, and got one more raw than rare (but I like that). You cannot go wrong with Guinness. I asked for no onions and no bun, but more fried - and got exactly that. AS we walked out, a classically dressed older man, in a camel hair coat, coming in, straightened and put on his game face, as he surveyed the bar - where a mix of youths and older folk were talking, enjoying. So perfect.

Reasonably priced food that was quick, large portions, nice wait staff. Had a very nice brunch there.

Always guaranteed to please....a great meal and the location is next to the subway...great home cooked food...the brunch is wonderful.

Old New York with large plate glass windows looking out on the street...with a fun waiter who made the day. Bar plus two intimate, separate dining area with tin cieling and wood floors, makes it easy to close your eyes and think 1895. We were there for brunch and had great burgers and fries, delicious salads, all prepared to perfection and served on the paper table covering... complete with crayons for drawing. Nice wine list and beers and very friendly and attentive staff....wish other resturants trained their staff that well! Do miss the deserts, really good!!

We sat on the terrace by chance. We ordered a salad Cobb salad and humus and crudité and to drink two beers. Luxury dinner. The raw vegetables were at their perfect point, very good. The huge and very rich salad. Considering that each beer cost 9€, we paid a total of 64€ for what we thought was great price: Highly recommended

An old-time neighborhood joint that has somehow escaped the effects of hipsters and rising rents, it is my go-to place in Tribeca and one that barely changes. Today did not disappoint. It is still great for sandwiches, burgers and, of course, drinks! I had the Portobello sandwich which was good. Fries were nice too. Service was friendly and true to character. I love Walker's.

We stopped in for drinks after a memorable supper at Batard, which is close by. The food here looked great, and the warren of cosy spaces to eat it in inviting. The bar itself is super, with the feel of a really traditional 'local' that will instantly appeal to UK visitors. They'll know that one of the key ingredients of a proper local is great staff - and they're here, serving a wide range of beers and everything else you might want. Lovely place, will be back.

Conveniently located three short blocks from the Tribeca Grand Hotel, Walkers is a great casual place for reasonably priced food. We live in the neighborhood and this is our go-to spot whenever we need a low-key, casual night out of burgers, pasta, and chicken fingers. The decibel level can climb pretty high if seated in the front of the restaurant where the bar is located, but the back rooms are a bit cozier and a little quieter. The waiters and waitresses are patient and pleasant.

My favorite in TriBeCa for the last eight years, would not visit TriBeCa without having a great memorable meal at Walkers. The Best!!!

Good pub with a good atmosphere. Decent range of beers available and a good menu. I had the burger and Mrs had the pulled pork sandwich. Both were delicious and the portions were large.

Found this place within walking distance of our holiday apartment. It was a great little bar and restaurant. We were 2 adults and 2 teenagers and got a table easily on a mid week evening. We all had burgers and they were great. Not so expensive and wine and beer good. All in all a lovely place to eat with easy relaxed atmosphere and good quick service.

Went for dinner last night in this great place, found on tripadvisor. Staff is awesome, kind and very helpful in your dinner choice.our congrats to the kind blonde woman that has served us.we really enjoyed speak together a little bit and we enjoyed the suggestions she gave us. So, if you go to this place, you have to try the burgers.they are fantastic! Personally I took also a dessert that was perfect too(brownie with vanilla ice cream). Price is very good to be in Manhattan:we paid 77$ total with service tip included. We took 2 burgers,2 pints of draft beer, and 1 dessert. Place is a bit crowded if you eat in the front part of the restaurant, but maybe if you get a reservation you can ask to go in the rear part that is more quiet. Place is typically American and personally we liked it very much. So we suggest this place 100%

We had a group of 16 people and we got a great lunch/brunch and, since it was so good and they treated us so well, we came back for drinks and "bar food" later that evening. They made our day in NYC a great time. I highly recommend them...especially if you have a large group.

A well run bar/restaurant in Tribeca. Jerry was a lovely host and really contributed to our visit. Incredible fried chicken and the cocktails are to die for.

Expect an authentic and unfancy experience at Walkers - nice people, good food. A great stop where you feel welcome and can relax.

The restaurant had a great atmosphere as there was a pub just in the front. The service was great, very fast and the food was wonderful. It is a very nice place to go with your family or just with your mats.

We happened upon this place as we were walking around the neighborhood of our hotel. Prices are good. Food was delicious! We had a burger and salmon toast points. Both were so fantastic! The host was friendly. Our server was so nice and professional. It's a small 2 part bar/dining area, but so comfortable and unique. In our week long of dining experiences, this was one of the best.

I met a friend here recently. I had a burger with sautéed mushrooms, while he had a turkey club sandwich. The burger was a bit overcooked (I requested medium-rare), but still was a good size with fresh lettuce, tomato and onion. The side garden salad was large and delicious. Service was pleasant, if a bit slow. Prices were reasonable.

So, I've been eating here for years, more, it's a neighborhood solid among the throngs of over the top 'cuisines' available in Tribeca. Soups, steak, pasta, salads, sandwiches. Old NY bar kind of restaurant. it may sound boring but they do a great job of it, the menu has variety and changes so even if it's pasta they give you a different selection every day. Portions are large. Staff is very nice and they are open lunch to late nite. Bar is open to 4am if I recall. They're also great for office groups as they can serve a table of 10 during lunch hour in reasonable time, which many places struggle with.

A wonderful neighborhood bar and restaurant. I never have sat at the bar, but if I were a bar person this is the one that I would rush to; lots of people having fun. There are 3 rooms to sit and have either lunch or dinner. The food is excellent, and the price is inexpensive. I guess they make most of their money on the alcohol. Try the home made french fries with your meal. They are yummy. And I highly recommend their chopped cobb salad. Get some extra dressing on the side. And don't forget the char broiled burgers.

I'm from Oregon and visit family in NY pretty regularly. This is one of my favorite NY restaurants. The food is deliciious - the wait staff is fun and friendly. The bar is packed with locals and so are the tables. People come back because of the food and great drinks. Hey...you might even see someone who starred in the Soprano's...like I did. Have kids? Bring them. The wait staff will bring some crayons and paper to keep your child busy. It's just that kind of place.

I was in NY for work and saw an online recommendation that Walker’s was great for a solo meal. The service was terrific and my dinner was delicious. Quaint neighborhood bar with some regulars, not too crowded. I’ll definitely go back the next time I’m staying downtown, solo or with others.

Tucked away on a corner in Tribeca (can you actually be tucked away in a corner?), Walkers is a real neighborhood gem and worth the trip even if you're not in the neighborhood. It has a friendly pub-like vibe and the food is actually some of the better gastro-pub offerings around without breaking the bank and without trying to be too precious, The burgers here are pretty damn good and are probably what will bring us back. The sandwiches are good too but if it's a burger you want, this is probably the best bet in Tribeca by a long shot, The front room with the nicely appointed bar can be a bit noisy but the two back rooms are quiet and quieter, respectively, Efficient, helpful and dare we say, friendly, waitstaff make dining here a pleasure.

A few weeks ago, while the wives were at a nearby bridal shower, 4 hungry guys were looking for a place to eat breakfast on a Sunday. We found Walkers and decided to give it a try. When we entered, it looked tiny and there were a few folks in front of us and I thought, great... were never gonna get seated. Once we were flagged by a host... they escorted us through the back of the bar area through a small room of tables...to a smaller room of tables. Our waitress was great and friendly. The food (brunch menu) was surprisingly good. We can eat, and all left full. Coffee and a drink was included. Great price and food and if I was in the area, I would definitely go back to this comfortable NY spot. This is NOT the Savoy... but we liked it. ;-)

If you are in the area this is a pretty good restaurant. meals are quite American style and so is the environment.

We tried to get in for Sunday brunch without reservations and were turned away with apologies. So you get the picture of how popular it is. We returned for a mid-week lunch and while many order their well known burgers we had delicious salads. The decor is rustic old time pub with a long bar in the main dining area. By 1:00PM the place was packed in all the rooms as well as the tables outside so don't expect super quick service when it gets that full and crowded. Very reasonable prices and good food and friendly service for this very expensive neighborhood which explains the popularity.

Found Walker's by chance, and their Bloody Marys gave me one of the most memorable nights in New York! I found Walker's in passing, sat down for a beer and then met interesting and friendly locals. I loved the charming interior, appreciated the well stocked bad, enjoyed great food, quality house beer and well... cocktails. :)

Walker has been a real surprise. A true genuine pub in NYC/Tribeca. We tried with satisfaction pork and lamb both roasted with smashed potatoes. Welcoming staff and the right atmosphere. To be tried.

Looking for a burger and a beer in TriBeCa? This may be your place. Casual bar with decent menu. My friend enjoyed his burger. I ordered the skirt steak sandwich from the specials and it was only fair. The roasted potatoes, however were delicious. The service was not good and our waitress hardly checked in on us, in fact, a substitute waitress settled our bill. Jazz duo performed at 8pm. Good neighborhood atmosphere.

What a great little find Johnny behind the bar was friendly entertaining and gave us few tips of where to visit. Locals in there were also friendly in a lovely old style bar. Just opposite the Ghostbusters Building.

Background: Vendor had taken myself and a coworker out for lunch The Place: Kinda beat up. Place was freezing cold, rustic but definitely in need of some sprucing up. The Staff: Excellent. Very attentive and personable. Couldn't ask for more. Food: Menu is that of a typical pub, maybe a bit more upscale but all in all I would leave it as is. Portion sizing was excellent, entry's were okay. The mashed potatoes were the best part of the meal. Pricing: While taking into account the fact that your in a stupid expensive city, prices were fair.

Really cozy and friendly place. Was lucky that the weather was good for riding and it's great, especially in the morning. Worth a visit
Just what was needed!
Having just flown in from London we fancied a traditional New York bar for a meal before we slept off the journey. We couldn't have chosen better as we were warmly welcomed by one of the waitresses who seated us at a lovely window table with a great view before bring us a welcome and cooling Marguerita. The menu was tempting with a great selection of grills, steaks and specials. We particularly enjoyed the starter of chilli shrimp with a tomantilla salsa - yummy. But the thing that made Walkers special for us was the friendly and expert service, it really gave us a great New York feeling.
