View of the Brooklyn Bridge

By Alessandro N |

Bar with kitchen which has its strong point not so much in the cuisine, which is acceptable, but in the location overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge. You can eat, so you can book, or even just go and drink. Good cocktails. Average prices for Manhattan

Great views and a great deal on beer

By TorontoMusicman |

The top deck of this boat serves drinks and snacks. It provides amazing views. We ordered the beer bucket (6 beers for $36) which was quite a bargain considering the location. It was mid-afternoon on a warm sunny day and it was quite enjoyable.

Pier 15 view

By waysidelynne |

Watermark is a new bar on Pier 15 at the Seaport. The menu is limited and the food is just average bar food, kind of boring. The beer selection is limited but it's got a great location and with the seaport mall being closed (soon to be demolished) there's not much else to choose from on the water. This place has outdoor seating for nice days and the building is all glass so you feel an openness even when you're inside. The staff there is very helpful and attentive.

Food is as good as the view!

By Vanessa S |

Its obvious that the view from this place is amazing! BUT don't let it overshadow the amazing offering of food/beverages. I highly recommend trying the sangria. It went perfectly with the BLT I ordered. The servers didn't seem to have a problem getting the food out and they were super friendly to me and my friends.

First time in New York

By Rebecca B |

Had a lovely meal with my Boyfriend here on our second day in the city! It was delightful, the cocktails were also very good! If we visit New York again in the future we will return

Felt trapped and dissatisfied

By Pepper1234 |

This was our first time in New York from the UK, and I wanted to do something that I knew I couldn’t do again when we were there. I came across ‘the Santa clauses’ winter wonderland and thought it would be perfect to get us in the spirit. We arrived earlier than planned, and they let us to our table early, sadly this and the stunning view was the only positive thing about it. We were promised hats and hot chocolate, and for the price I paid, I expected the hats to at least be nicer Santa hats with ‘the Santa clauses’ printed on the front maybe. And the hot chocolate, well we didn’t even get that! The lady who escorted us to our table was also in shock and confusion as to why we’d never been there before because of how ‘amazing’ it is all year round. Our table was surrounded by other tables inside a plastic green house, which was really tight to even fit into when others were sitting in there. Then the menu prices!!! We ended up shared a bowl of truffle fries, which was the cheapest thing on the menu, because of how expensive everything was!! $15 for a bowl of fries!!!! Luckily, we’d gone on a Monday during the time of happy hour so they were a bit cheaper than original price. We both had a cider that literally just came out in a can. And then a ‘free s’more making plate’, which when we looked at the receipt and added the price of everything up, actually wasn’t free!! We then had someone that kept taking our photo, whilst we were eating, but not just 1 photo, about 4 different poses, making my partner get up and come and stand next to me for one, whilst he was trying to eat! Thankfully, they don’t actually force you to buy them. They automatically put a tip on, but then expected another one, when the server was polite but still didn’t really make a huge effort. We then had the chance to walk around the ‘wonderland’. All I can say is the only worthwhile part of the wonderland was that there was a sleigh overlooking Brooklyn bridge, which meant you could get a nice photo inside the sleigh with the bridge in the background! Otherwise there really wasn’t a lot to see, it took us 5 mins to walk around the wonderland after food. Might be cool for the kids. Santa wasn’t there when we arrived but I noticed it was also and extra $30 on top to meet him!!! Even after you’ve paid $75 for a ticket to sit down, add on your food and drinks too!! In total I stupidly paid $135 expecting big things because it’s New York, We were silly and paid all that money, and sadly, we’re massively disappointed!!

10 dollar guacamole !! Really?

By Mario P |

10 dollar guacamole really? When is the rest of the guacamole coming? Not even a cup! Don't bother to have a snack in this place. Not worth it! You have to Pay extra for tomatoes and lettuce and got one slice of tomatoes and an inch of lettuce. Come on !!

Spectacular location not the best value for your money

By Texy3 |

This place offers an amazing view of the pier and surrounding areas (gorgeous at night) however this is pretty much all you get for what you will end up paying. Went here for dinner with 5 friends, first of all reservations require a “contract” bonded at $750 with a separate contract admin fee of around $200. The food is mediocre at best with a poor selection of basic, yet overpriced drinks on the menu. I ordered something called the “brig” which was tasteless and served with wilted mint leaves. The bathroom is located in another building far from the eating area and is filthy!!!! The gratuity is included in the contract so too bad if you don’t get good service. In our case we had a nice server so that was good. Overall an anticlimactic experience, and a total waste of money. I will not be returning and definitely recommend trying another place with a similar view. We were amply warned by the Yelp reviews but still decided to check it out. It was not so shockingly quite empty. From all indication this happens quite a lot so if you must go there please do a walk in. One star rating is for the location.

the million dollar view!

By Lily Tooly |

The view here was just breathtaking! And yes, you can catch the sunset here! We came on a very warm November evening and were seated in one of their personal igloos. Awesome happy hour deals. Food ranged from ok to decent but the view made up for everything! Our waiter Raymond was sweet as well. We ordered the dollar oysters, guacamole and chips, beef sliders, and the bratwurst. Everything was decent. The oysters were very fresh but on the smaller side. The potato chips that came with the bratwurst was very crispy and good. They also have a decent amount of beer on tap and different craft cocktails. Overall, this place is just simply gorgeous! I'll definitely come back to sip on some brew and take in the beautiful view!

Scam

By Cyprus Embassy ... N |

This is the most ghetto rip off ever concieved. It is exhorbitantly over priced, the food and beverages are mediocre at best, and it is a sad and shabby enterprise with little to zero engaging activities for children.

Meh, cold water and decent fries, excellent location

By RocklandKris |

I am going to guess that based on the great location of being on the water and hear where the tour boats come in and out of that Watermark is always busy so they don't have to try real hard? After a Hornblower's cruise my daughter and I went to Watermark for an app and cold drink. The waitress was short with use and just inattentive in general. People have bad days so whatever, not a dealbreaker. I was dying for an iced tea and they did not have any...who doesn't have iced tea in the summer? We ordered wings and fries, food wad good, no ranch for the wings. So I was 1-3 with no iced and no ranch. Also no restroom which was kind of annoying. Nice outside seating with shaded and sunny areas.

So goood

Karla was amazing …. I went for my birthday and she made it great.❤️‍🔥 I can’t wait to come back.. the food and drinks was great.

WOW!

By Caitlin F |

What a great view!!! Having heard what a great location this spot had, we decided to check it out for ourselves and we were blown away! Try the cocktails when you come in, they were delicious!

Cocktails and views

By matthewbarrett60 |

We stopped here to take in the views of Brooklyn bridge and enjoy the sunshine. The cocktails came in huge plastic cups but tasted amazing we had to have seconds. The service was great and all at a reasonable price.

Great food & cocktails with a fantastic view

By LJH276 |

We wandered down to South Street Seaport tired and hungry after a day's shopping but we didn't know the part on the pier was closed. Luckily we found the Watermark Bar on pier 15 which has fabulous views of Brooklyn Bridge. We ordered Spiked Lemonade and a small pizza each and both were lovely. There was table service outside which was very efficient. Highly recommend.

Very Misleading.

By Lena P |

We were in New York for the first time and were so disappointed with this place. It was more like a bar/ party place on the pier than a restaurant. And the food was not impressive at all. If you want a party on the pier then this is what you are looking for. And the pictures that I see online are not a good representation of what I saw when I got there!

Most romantic, delicious and delightful eatery at the Seaport

By briceandkristy |

Location: Perfect and located in the Seaport near the Financial district Food- Amazing, delicious and wish I would have tried your hot chocolate or cider with a twist. Cost- $45 for Lobster Ravioli and burger which were both amazing Covid Protocol- They checked out vaccine cards and placed 2 couples per greenhouse. This was the most romantic restaurant and was delightful, covered in Christmas lights and trees. We loved every moment of this place!

Great place for a beer and snack

By alcarp |

Four of us stopped at this place on the water. It has a tremendous view and is a place to watch the water activity with ships running about from the harbor business. Had a beer and their parmesan fries and crab quesadillas for light snack. The food was quite good, particularly the "Q's" and for the location, prices were right. (The server, an older woman, should have learned to smile for the customer by now).

Winter Fun!

By Shannon D |

Such a great spot to have dinner with friends. We dined in one of the igloos and did the winter dinner and we had a blast! Kyle our server made sure we were taken care of and ensured we had fun which is exactly what we were looking for!

Fun place but chaotic

By LAFAMILLEG11231 |

Prices are high service fees included and crowds can be overwhelming so get ready But nice location on a summer day

Don’t waste your hard earned money

By Jordyn E |

Absolutely nothing like what is advertised. Was highly disappointed and let down when I arrived expecting what the photos portrayed to celebrate my birthday all to find out we would be eating cold food with no side and sitting in a loud plastic house with strangers. McDonald’s would’ve been a happier way to celebrate my birthday.

Not very cozy. We had beers and looked over the the ocean when all boats came in. Staff not very interested in customer.

Excellent

By Lei Q |

Everything is excellent including the views, food and services. Five stars rating for this one. I will surely revisit it again this year.

Amazing view but so terribly managed!

By S M |

I lived right nextdoor and took two different sets of visitors here given their location and view. Both times, our order was brought out incorrectly after almost a 45 min. to an hour wait WHEN THERE WERE VERY FEW OTHER CUSTOMERS THERE!!! When we asked for the manager, the ONE table near us started griping about the same thing (wait time and wrong order) given the emptiness of the place. The service staff is terrible and the food is mediocre at best. I ordered chicken strips and fries - the most basic of orders possible - and yet, somehow, they messed that up. The manager didn't seem to be very remorseful of her terribly managed restaurant. The second time we went, we had to remind her that we'd had a similar conversation during our first visit about the service... With new management and staff, this place could be a gold mine! It's got an amazing view and location, and decent size space. Until the service is fixed, just go to the park above it for the views and avoid throwing your money away here.

Tourist trap !!!

By Naples_ItalyMassimo |

The view is certainly spectacular, however the food is awful, the service is bad and most importantly during our outdoor dining on Christmas Eve, we saw three mice happily running, with no fear, between plastic bubbles...!! Terrible experience.

Wont come back

By luisatavera1990 |

Not nice nor friendly staff, waited for more than 20 minutes to order and when I get my wine this is what I get. You don't drink wine with pieces of the cork.

sketchy

By ERIC R |

location is amazing. drinks are little bit pricey but reasonable. An amazing and fun spot for summer time. we went there after work, probably 7ish on Saturday, May. It was super packed. We ordered drinks, the bartender was really friendly even though he was super busy. But, I saw some sketchy things going on in the back. A caucasian guy with a cap who looks like a bartender assistant was putting some money from a table in his pocket.... I just want to say," Dear Manager, educate your employee or should hire better a person.

Can't beat the atmosphere!

By Ryan M |

Didn't eat anything, we came to have some drinks and enjoy the views. Friendly staff and delicious bevvies!

Slowest Service

By Rohita M |

Food was good and tasted fresh but the service was not upto the mark. We ordered bbq chicken wings but got buffalo. They were tasty but bot what we asked for. Then we had to wait for so long for the drinks refill. And we had to wait and wait and wait. The view was good. Just hire more people for better management.

Fabulous Find

By Josietravels |

I live in NYC and am always on the hunt for a nice place to sit on the water and have a beer. My husband and I went to Watermark last week (I had heard about it but had forgotten about it so it was a nice find). We happened to hit it on a night when a band was playing so we weren't able to sit at the end of their pier. The views are spectacular. The bartenders are friendly although they were way understaffed when we were there. It took us 20 minutes to get a beer and a cocktail. The food is regular bar fare. My husband ordered a hotdog and said it was good--nothing great. This restaurant is co-owned by a local "food corporation" who own several other restaurants in lower Manhattan (3 of them are in Battery Park City). I think their MO is find a location with amazing views, serve good drinks and who cares about the food because people will come regardless.

Great views but needs better service

By Pamela A |

This place is nice and looks new. My only issue was the service. We waited almost 20 minutes to order drinks and almost 15 to get the check. They definitely need more servers especially if they have private events. Also, I can't drink alcohol because I'm on whole 30 diet and ordered club soda with lime and can't believe they charged me as much a beer for it. Kind of ridiculous. Otherwise, great location for drinks especially when it gets warmer out.

The Santa Clauses' Winter Wonderland! Disappointing

By Karen |

We booked The Santa Clauses' Winter Wonderland! after seeing social media posts about this, please note this is clever marketing and it is not as good as we thought it would have been. The greenhouses were okay but a lot of people would have been crammed in, the food was not great, we booked for s’mores and hot chocolate we didn’t get the hot chocolate and the whole experience was meant to be 90 mins we lasted approx 30-40mins, there was no one about to take a picture of us at the fireplace for example. We did not feel it was worth the money. You do get a reasonable picture of Brooklyn bridge but there are people floating about in the background. Another family in also we not expecting that experience.

Not a worthy experience.

By Velle |

Highly disappointed with overall experience. The food is mediocre - a small welcome pink tea that is sugary, food selection nor well thought of considering price charged. The view compensated the visit. The hardwares of cabin is cheaply built. The website looked great and enticing but beware it is nothing near it. Felt like a "tourist trap".

Scenery 5* | Service 1*

By sck89 |

I went on the first day they opened for the season and I have never witnessed such a disaster! Firstly highly unorganized, the poor waiting staff had to travel around what felt like the entire bar to do just one order. Everything was selling out, namely the draft beer! There was only 3 members of bar staff serving and on average was taking around 25 minutes to be served. Trying to close my tab was a clear example that everyone needs some training (couldn’t find my bank card, then found it in a random pot). My colleagues and I work around the corner and were looking for our new summer hang out. This is not it. The venue is great and you have some beautiful views however don’t drink too much as there are no bathrooms onsite!

it's the view innit!!!!

By Caroline B |

Stumbled by chance upon The Watermark while on a cold and snowy walk Downtown. OK so it's just a hot dog dog joint but what a view! I sat inside as it was -4 with a salty dog and a hot coffee, mesmerised by crystal clear skies, watching the river and Brooklyn Heights and the Brooklyn Bridge and on the pier a man with a blue eyed husky that was so happy to be playing in the snow - one of those magical moments of happenstance. Hot Dog was admittedly pretty ordinary but who cares! The cool bar guy was charming and I was one happy girl for a beautiful hour.

Pier 15 in Lower Manhattan offers a warm, inviting atmosphere with lush greenery and stunning views.

By Sanjay G |

This two-level pier boasts a sleek, modern design. Pier 15 in Lower Manhattan offers a warm, inviting atmosphere with lush greenery and stunning views. Its open-air public space features observation decks on both levels. When I visited, it was a cloudy day with hardly any crowd—pure tranquility. The calm, noise-free surroundings made the view of the Brooklyn Bridge even more captivating. Outdoor seating perfectly frames the breathtaking vistas of the Manhattan skyline, the Brooklyn Bridge, and passing cruise ships. The pier is also home to the trendy Watermark restaurant, known for its stylish vibe and wide selection of beverages. It’s an ideal spot to enjoy a spectacular sunset. P.S. There’s a public restroom available from 6 a.m. to midnight.

Mermaid drink

By AmberTI |

Awful! Bartender didn't smile at all! Mermaid drink was a joke! 4 mile walk to bathroom. Place was awful! Great view though.

Terrible Service but Great View

By WMH_AK |

The service here is absolutely terrible. If your only getting a bottled beer you'll be fine. The view is fantastic though. -4 stars for service and 5 stars for view = 1 star.

Better than expected...

By Analemmatic |

Was thinking of this as convenience, it's by the cruise round the harbour from Hornblower cruises. But actually had a decent meal here, good caesar salad (spelt 'ceased salad'!), hamburger, mac n cheese bites $9-13.

Lousy service, nice view

By BeWe |

Waiter forget half of the order during Happy Hour and booked for full prices later. This is not New York as I got to know

Great food view and service

By Didier H |

When you are in the financial district this place is great to visit in the night It's alive and has fantastic view. A big recommendation is the hot dog made of Angus beef! Friendly fast service!

RESERVED A PRIVATE LITTLE HOUSE; FOOD WAS REALLY GOOD; HOT COCOA WAS BARELY WARM

By CinColo |

I reserved a private room which did cost around $165 (since one in our party was not vaccinated). We had a lot of fun and boy was the spiked hot cocoa strong (although it wasn't very warm). That was tolerable however and certainly didn't ruin the night. Our little house stayed warm (outside temps were in the 40s), and we did not need a coat/hat while we were in there. We had the wagyu pigs in blankets, lobster ravioli, 4 cheese mac 'n cheese, a burger, and coconut shrimp. Everyone enjoyed the food. I also (unknowingly) had reserved during happy hour, so our drinks weren't that expensive (the spiked hot cocoa was the most expensive). Normally I wouldn't spend the money to reserve something like this. However, my daughter's 20th birthday was coming up, and hey, we were in NY! If you can get the 8 people to help with the cost, I'd definitely reserve the private house. Although, it might be kind of tight with 8. At least try to get 6! My Tips: Go during the week and reserve during happy hour to lower the cost.

a drink at the pier

By Edwin S |

great spot to spend a lazy, quiet afternoon by the water. The staff are great and the view is amazing.

Great view, not the best service

By ogerkan |

The view is beautiful once the tour boats clear out. Full 180 degree view from the Brooklyn Bridge to South. Service was slow and we had to ask for water three times. There are much better options in the area.

A bit of a stretch on the holidays.

By RonTravelWorld |

Every year we reach the same time of the year. Halloween was upon us but we were already shopping for the Christmas holidays and season. It has become a habit we do not give up or forget. It is the tradition of what we expect after the year we have just had. It is the time of thinking, and planning, and even taking out the items we need and what to do. And for some of us, it is a time to go shopping when we go out to eat. And drink.
The Winter Wonderland at Watermark is near the South Street Seaport in lower Manhattan. It is on Pier 15 which is at 78 South Street. You step inside and onto the dock. It is a space that has been there for decades and always filled with different things to do and enjoy. At this time of the year it now becomes your winter dream. You enter the area with a special ticket that is required if you want to experience it for you, your family and friends. There are things to do. Places to see. Food to enjoy. It is like a mini-version of the Holiday Markets you see when you visit parts of Europe this time of the year. The German markets are famous. A night of Gluhwein warm wines, brats and pretzels and pastry. You also see shops and listen to music and imagination as you walk past each stall and carry the wine with you. For the beer we selected a Downeast Winter Blend. It had a taste of cider that was blended in and gave an interesting taste and flavor. It was a light beer at only 6.5%. It was ideal for a walk. We also knew we needed something warm, but this would wait for later like a dessert. This was having the NY Polar Express. An interesting combination of SKYY Vodka infused with Oreo and that chocolate touch. It also had a slate of Kamora Dulce de Lexhe and a Kamora Coffee Liqueur. Naturally it had to have hot coffee mixed in. Together it was an interesting flare for taste. Something very different. It is not just a cup of coffee as you expect in New York. As for the warm wine, this was not as easy. Instead, I ordered a Terrazas de Los Andres Reserva Malbec. It was full bodied, fruity and subtle from Argentina. It had a rich flavor. It is not a true Gluhwein. Naturally, as you are spending time out on the pier and having something to drink as the sun sets, it is time to consider what to eat. First place to go is to get some Vegetarian Chili. This is a mixture of vegetables including tomatoes, avocados, corn, zucchini and eggplant. You need to add some dry chili pepper to give it some extra flavor and spice. It is served warm and is ideal when having the beer. It did come with some chips for dipping and to crunch.
Next up was some Dasher’s Truffle Fries. Good, fried, shoestring potatoes that are topped with some parmesan cheese and a touch of truffle Romano. It was good with a bit of dip to put the fries. Of course, we needed to have something to go with the wine itself. This was the Soul Warmer Mac and Cheese. It is placed in a waffle cone for a different touch. This was a good choice. Coming from New York, you need to have cheesecake for dessert. But to have a Creme Brulee Cheesecake does make a difference. Especially when you have your own cheesecake recipe passed down in the family. Coming to the Winter Wonderland at Watermark is an experience unto itself. You come for the food and the beverages. The glass houses here are different and something to do. There are things to see and do. Including stopping to see the place where there is holiday candy. You walk through connecting glass houses and paths that are all lit up with lights and bring a look to the sky above. The team is nice. The prices are a bit high. The food is fine. It is great for a drink and then time to leave. For a more traditional holiday market you find in Europe where there is food, holiday shopping, and some Gluhwein warm wines, then head up to Bryant Park right behind the New York Public Library. Of course, Santa is waiting for you.

Mandatory tip for group of 3???

By shastings123 |

Quality of the food was good, but considering size of the dishes I think it’s overpriced. And when paying, the mandatory (!?) 20% service charge was a bit of a shock. We, as tourists, don’t mind adding tips to the bill but this should be at my discretion and not mandatory

Over Rated drinks Great location

By Judy F |

You have to be a member of chase sapphire in order to get a seat. The drinks are premixed and expensive. There was a band so that made it fun. Good if you want to hang outside but the food and drinks overpriced and average.

Venue in New York City, NY

By Vy H. |

PINK PIER POP-UP REVIEW. Cute place for photos with your girlfriends! After fees, the general admission ticket is $15 which is reasonable—if you go early when they first open, you really don’t need VIP tickets for the VIP line because there’s barely a line for GA. Inside, lots of cute spots for photos! They also give you one complimentary drink—the rosé was pretty good! It’s great here, if there aren’t many people but as it gets more crowded it will be a lot harder to get photos without someone in your background, or you may need to wait in line for a certain photo spot.

So-So, ups and downs

By joannegray |

We came for the famous mermaid drink, which does look fantastic and is fairly enjoyable! However it is almost $100, I have to be honest, it definitely isn't worth that much, we felt like we were paying for the novelty more than anything. Especially as this is the only cocktail they actually do and it most definitely isn't a prestigious and upmarket bar although it is nice. The view is lovely, perfect for taking photos of the brooklyn bridge. The waitresses were amiable and smiley however, the service was fairly slow and it wasn't particularly busy. There are portaloos all around the back of the building which we assumed were the toilets intended to be used, gave up in the end as they are all facing with the doors against the building (so impossible to get into) and could not find the other place where the proper loos were? All a bit odd.

Pier 15 Fun

By Miasia Simone |

Went to a July 4th event at this gem of a place. It was easy to find following GPS, just a little confusing getting to the actual restaurant. Making way through the cruise crowd was a little difficult make sure to keep walking into the tunnel before you end up on a line for a boat LOL. The place was packed, we didn't RSVP for table reservations so we're in this standing room table area. The food was ok forgot to take picture! Chicken Sliders 8/10. Burger 7/10. Paloma Paradise Pouch drink was pretty good. Jalapeño Casamigo 10/10. Super photo friendly definitely content worthy. Definitely recommend.

Weak drinks and degrading to patrons

By stephanie D |

We went for a friends birthday. We all ordered food and drinks. The drinks were syrupy and had little to no alcohol. The food was okay.. bar food. We had complained about the drinks. Not wanting anything just letting them know that the drinks are poor quality for the price. When one of the servers came back over to talk to the one person on our party I noted on the pad they wrote clown shoes very big. The one guy in our party had large feet and shoes that were more pointy. To have such a horrible attitude and treat you patrons like this is disgusting. I can not recommend this to anyone!
