After a long day we stumbled into the place and boy what a treasure. We had the market place - 4 veggie sides. Sounds ordinary huh? Take a look at this plate of Yuka, oyster mushrooms, artichoke parm and grilled cauliflower. Wow. Didn’t even need the salmon.

This group of 4 restaurants is the future of food. We're all trying to eat healthier. But healthier usually means boring. But not at Westville! The menu is a mixture of healthy dishes, veggie and turkey burgers, and the best thing, about 20 different vegetable dishes that you can mix and match for a whole platter. The menu is eclectic, but everything is absolutely delicious!

Love the healthy yet comfort food approach. Choose market salads/vegetables and build your own plates or just go for a pre-set dish. I did pesto mashed potatoes (YUM!), salmon and broccoli. Can't go wrong with that. Service was prompt and attentive! Will be back again for sure.

No waiting for Saturday morning brunch? In Chelsea? Yes. The place was full but we were seated promptly. Pretty good for a party of 5. Service was prompt. My son (25 yo) and I had the turkey hash with egg. Very good. Wife got 4 vegetables and as a reformed vegetarian, she was quite happy. Her cousin ordered and ate avacado toast. The place is bright, and clean. Nice accessable bathrooms for disposing of the coffee/water we drank. I would definitely recommend and will even go back for dinner. Wife loves her vegetables that much.

Ate, no devoured, the fried haloumi salad over kale. Such a delicious mix of the allowed (greens) and the forbidden (cheese)! The gazpacho was amazing -- as well as the Strawberry rhubarb pie.

Looking for a small restaurant with healthy food, we came across Westville and loved it. It seats about 20 with lots of hustle and bustle from the open kitchen and efficient service, moving patrons in and out. I loved the quinoa burger and the cauliflower side was outstanding. There were many healthy choices and we will definitely go back the next time we're in NY city.

Westville is a neighborhood favorite. And the folks who go there know that the Market Sides are the best food in the hood.

This is a great little place for lunch (and dinner, although the wait time was pretty long). There's a good variety of options - the chicken salad was delicious. My son had the mint lemonade and loved it, said it was the best drink he's had in NY!

Being Italian, I have a sort of idea about Chelsea , and its atmospheres, so when I had the pleasure to stopover at Westville, after twenty seconds I realized that this is exactly the feeling I was dreaming to find. Bistrot sized and styled, superfriendly and uncomplicated staff , great menu , organic salads , and healthy conscious dishes , Great espresso and all served with a smile and at correct price for the area. Go there and enjoy its cozy ambience and service

Delish sauce for salads and food made well being too made up. Always seems to be busy which is good sign.

This is one of my new favorite spots in NYC. Super casual, but with a nice atmosphere. The restaurant is small, but this is normal for the area. Many healthy options for all kind of diets. When i say healthy it does not mean tasteless or bad, is the complete opposite. The food is delicious and the portions are large. The prices are great for the amount and quality of food you get. Very good and friendly service. I been there for lunch a few times now and absolutely love it.

Great restaurant for vegetarians: lots of choices. They have lots of tasty non-vegetarian things also so this place is a happy compromise for parties mixed with vegans/vegetarians and meat eaters. Everyone can have their needs meet and also have a tasty meal. There are several locations. Enjoy.

tasty food, good variety for veggies pleasant service and reasonable priced! Nice and vibrant atmosphere -)

Westville has a couple locations in Manhattan and I've tried each one over the past year. The series of restaurants started out of the Greenwich Village location and promises great food (healthy, filling, very fresh and always extremely tasty) with neighborhood prices. What this actually means is that you can afford to eat at their restaurants every night of the week, and the range of food always gives you something you like. Even if you end up hating everything on the menu, I'm confident that if you ordered something at random, Westville would cook it in a way that you've never experienced before and that you'd end up falling in love with the dish. The food is all pretty healthy, even the less waistline-conscious options like burgers and hot dogs. Market sides (also fresh, like the rest of their food) can be ordered to supplement the dishes. However one of the best things about this place is the portions and pricing. It's cheap, but you get a great selection and big, filling portions. The restaurants are all small, except the Hudson location which is a little larger, and there are usually a couple people waiting in front of you for a table. But the longest I've ever waited is about 10 minutes - and it was well worth it. The decor is very casual and the restaurants are small and intimate, populated by a young, friendly crowd. The service is always fast and I've only ever once had a problem with a rude waitress (who I promptly dressed down at the end of my meal!), so I really think you'd love this place if you're looking for a nice bit of grub in a fun atmosphere. Chelsea is a bit small and there are often only bar seats available. I also prefer the atmosphere in the West 10th location, but this is still a great place to be. And the carrot cake is fab! Take a visit: you won't regret it.

We stopped for lunch on Memorial Day. The brunch and lunch menus were available. It was hard to pick what to order because so many items looked amazing. I wish I lived nearby so I could stop in again! Service was quick but not the most personable.

Took an out of town relative to this restaurant. Wasn't crowded, but by the time we left there was a wait to get in. Food is very well done, with daily specials and really good sides. Excellent for vegetarians. My relative ordered the kale quinoa salad, my husband and I got the grilled salmon with 2 sides. Enjoyed the roasted cauliflower, the snow pea pods were just ok, brussels sprouts and roasted artichokes were very tasty. They offer large portions, desserts, wine and beer. We'll go back.

When we moved to NYC, we found that Westville was the place to go for brunch. If you are the Bottomless type, this place doesn't offer it, however, the food is outstanding. Their Lattes and Americanos are great, the vegetable appetizer menus is genius and I wish I would have thought of it (grilled artichokes, kale, and plantains are the way to go), and their breakfast burritos and California Benedict are bomb. A definite must-try here in NYC!

Many have the idea that it breaks the purse to eat in NYC. The Westville restaurants dispel that myth with their very affordable, fresh and creative food choices in easy-going settings.

A good service and generous brunches, perfect place in Chelsea. Vegetables are very fresh and tastee.

I came here twice on my visit. The food is not only healthy, it’s very tasty. My only complaint is I ordered a hamburger. The waitress didn’t ask how I wanted it, and it came out medium rare (I would have ordered medium well). The place was packed, so it took awhile before I saw the waiter again. This is also on me, I should have told her my preference when ordering. Overall I recommend this restaurant.

We love this place especially for the wide variety of vegetables priced at $6 each or 4 for $15. They have 15-20 selections to choose and a plate of 4 is enough for a meal. And as my wife says, she could not purchase and prepare for the price. Nice selection of well priced wine and beer as well. The desserts look yummy (never had one) and the sandwiches and entrees are very nice as well. For a reasonably priced casual dinner out with friendly efficient service this place is top notch.

A great place for lunch! This is a small and cute restaurant located in the Chelsea neighborhood. There is a relaxed ambiance to the place. The service was good and staff was friendly. The quinoa-artichoke burger was excellent. It came with a fresh green salad.

Loved this- just stumbled upon in walking down the street, following our noses and being drawn in by how buzzy it was. Warm welcome, excellent service and a delicious lunch ensued. Dishes could be bolder in terms of their celebration of what is clearly great produce but this shouldn't detract from this great spot.

I was first introduced to Westville by a colleague last winter. We stopped in on a miserable cold day and ordered the healthy tea. It is amazing!! We have since chosen to have breakfast or lunch here every time we're in the city. Nothing has been disappointing. The salads are amazing. The roasted vegetables are always good, omelettes, sandwiches, whatever we have tried has been great. I have even recreated the healthy tea at home. This is just a casual, comfortable and reliable spot for great food!

Upon sitting down at Westville for bruch, I was presented with 2 menus. The first one contained the same items that can be found on the website. The second menu, contained all the Greenmarket specials - produce prepared in really tasty and amazing ways (truth be told, I plan to just order off of the Greenmarket specials list the next time I return). Although highly temping, this first time around, I kept it straight forward and ordered the Tortilla Espanola - a frittata with potato, turkey bacon, manchego cheese and topped with a romesco drizzle. The eggs were cooked perfectly (not dried out) and the potatoes were not greasy at all (a common issue with this dish at other places). The turkey bacon added a nice smokey flavor and the cheese balances all the ingredients together. Westville's simple green salad, accented with fresh herbs, was a wonderful complement to the meal. The atmosphere is very relaxed wtih a cool vibe. I will definately come back here many more times.

Single diners have a place at the bar. Food choices are above average. I ordered a quinoa burger it came out fast like McDonald's fast. Taste was good but kind of fell apart quickly. The temperature of the food was not that hot. I appreciate good service but the quality of cooking goes a long way. I might try it again but I would definitely specify a well done veggie burger from them.

Had a really tasty dinner at Westville. We opted to sit at the bar as we were short of time and did not want to wait for a table. It was a little cramped but we were able to interact with the bartenders who were amusing and very pleasant. Westville has an amazing selection of vegetables - in fact, you can make an entire dinner from choices on the vegetable menu. All are well prepared, seasoned well without ever being overpowering and cooked to just the right degree. Our veggie choices included sweet potato fries (really crispy and good), Brussels sprouts, squash, sauteed kale, mushrooms, and quinoa with butternut squash. Two of our party ordered the salmon teriyaki main dish which they enjoyed very much. Sadly, there was no time to sample the desserts. However, I plan to return as soon as I can to explore Westville's delicious menu more fully.

The Southwestern brunch is to die for!! A must visit but arrive early!! Lovely staff too!! Bagels are delicious too!

The choices are varied, the portions are generous, the food is very consistent. Dishes including delicious salads, burgers, grilled cheese, chicken cutlets, are all very good. The side dishes are very good veggies including brussels sprouts and beets with pecans.

Tried to have lunch here and was told to wait for a table until our party arrived. Sat the table we were waiting for when we told her our third party would be 5 minutes. Waitress was rude and didn't bother to try to find other accommodation. Shame for such a delicious place to lose business.

Quaint restaurant, generous portions, friendly staff and delicious food. We enjoyed the crab cakes and tasty Greek salads with chicken which were simple, yet perfectly seasoned, and quite tasty. I'll definitely be back to try one of the other healthy alternatives!

I used to live across the street from Westville and their Market Plate was the best meal around! If you do not want to take my word for it, go there on any given night and see the line of people waiting to get a table - they have been there and will wait forever to get back in!

One of the only places I feel like you can order vegetables. Nearly 20 plates to choose from. Brunch is always busy here but the selection and portions are good sizes. I had the chicken and eggs with a side of sprouts. Often will just have 2 or 3 veggies with fish or chicken. Good delivery to

Every time I eat here I am really happy I did. Food is great. Market plate allows you to choose 4 veggies. They are all super fresh and super delicious. Not run of the mill.

Wanted to go back after a delightful lunch..... Very good value for great food. This restaurant has several locations throughout New York but we went to the one in Chelsea which we loved

Went here tonight for dinner. Am in the city for business and didn't know where to go, so I made a mental note of a few addresses and went by them all. This was the last place on my list. It was rammed with 20 somethings and even more queued up outside, waiting for a table. I walked in and noticed there was one seat left at the bar. I was told it was mine. I ordered a salad with salmon and a glass of wine. Food and drink were excellent. It was at capacity the entire time I was there, and I arrived around 8. The vibe is good but it's loud, with music and conversation. Maybe not the ideal place for a first date. Glad I found it. Would return.

Adorable café in Chelsea and reasonably priced. Don’t plan on a private conversation as the space is very small. Caution – Sake Bloody Mary very peppery Definitely would go back next time we are in Chelsea

My first time eating here with two coworkers. Frankie offered exceptional service and was very friendly. If you love Mexican dishes then you must order the steak rice bowl. And you cannot leave without trying the red velvet cheesecake! Everything was superb. Thank you for the great time. We will definitely be back.

Great place to eat! Go here for some fresh, wholesome food. Get the 'sides' dinner. They have cold/hot choices. Was all very good and filled us up without any 'meat'. Also had pie and was yummy. Service very good. Kinda noisy but hey worth it.

This is a wonderful find in Chelsea!! The vegetables are so fresh and beautifully prepared. Toughest decision is picking just four!

I went to Westville Chelsea with a few of my friends, one of which had very strict dietary concerns (vegan and gluten-free) and they were very accommodating for her, even giving suggestions. For the rest of us non-vegans it was great food, I had the burger and I liked it a lot. Their drinks were also sooo good! I had the frozen mint lemonade with prosecco, it was delicious and refreshing- probably one of my favorite drinks ever. The wait was really long but the staff were on top of things, and tried their best to get us in as soon as possible.

Looking for a brunch place to spend some time with an old friend from Australia, I asked one of my 20ish colleagues for some ideas. Out of the 5 offered, Westville sounded the most promising (Malay for breakfast didn't feel right that morning). Pluses: fast, courteous, and accurate service without any push for closure on our parts. Food was pretty good - nothing special but very well prepared and fresh - we both had the Cali Eggs Benedict. Minuses: we were advised to arrive early or risk competing for space with "the bros eating off a hangover" and that's the truth! 11:00 am will do it. After that it got so loud that we couldn't hear each other despite the small space - or maybe because of it - you will literally be on top of your neighbors. All in all, I'd say there are pretty good old school Greek diners that offer similar food but I like staying on top of the millennial gathering places so if you are similarly inclined, it's a tasty way to stay current!

Service, food, and beer all excellent. Other Half on tap. The strip steak meal may not be a speciality but it was perfect!

My wife had been here with a friend, so I had my turn last night before theater. I must advise that it's a good idea to come around 6 PM or earlier, unless you don't mind waiting in line (that goes out the door) for a table. Westville offers tons of vegetable side dishes like Cauliflower, Broccoli, Brussel Sprouts, etc. as well as various salads on which you can add chicken, fish or meats. They offer a hamburger, turkey burger and veggie burger, too. I had the daily special Lamb Schwarma dinner plate with rice, Humus and Mediterranean salad. The portions are well-sized, and I could not finish mine. The décor is very "understated", and the bar serves wine and beer, but no hard alcohol. But, all in all, a nice dinner if you beat the crowd!

Such a great brunch place. There was a line when we arrived but we got our table after 5 minutes wait - I would have waited half an hour for this! Extensive menu full of healthy choices. Scrambled eggs were delicious and all items from the market vegetables selection we tasted were very well done and creative. Good coffee as well! Wish they'd expand in London!

If you need a quick brunch at the bar on the weekend head to westville. Get there early. Often lots of strollers and annoying voices but the bar seems to always be the locals.

lots of farm fresh veggies for the vegetarians and vegans. for the rest of us the salmon was great the burgers and chicken finger were great. and the Mac and cheese with added bacon amazing as anything with bacon is . while choosing your entree. u get to add a choice of what u want with it from a list of sides the restaurant is kinda small on the inside so the wait for a table might be a while depending on what time u arrive I think its worth the wait

Reasonably priced central restaurant, which also has branches in other parts of the city (though I only tried the one in Chelsea. It was my favourite restaurant and I ate there several times on my visit to New York. It offered a good selection of vegetarian, vegan AND meat options so would be ideal for groups who all have different requirements to go to. I particularly enjoyed the market vegetable plate, where you could choose four different varieties of interesting and nicely cooked vegetables from a wide selection, for only $18. Two of the same vegetable options were also offered as a side dish with fish, chicken or meat. There were also lots of salads on offer. It as also licensed and the alcohol prices were good compared to other places. They also had weekly specials. Service was good, and I always got a seat without booking, although sometimes this was at the counter/bar area. However, I'd recommend that you book if you're a couple or group, or an individual wanting a table.

They have a good, vegetarian deal, where you can order 4 different vegetarian dishes for a good price. They also have good salads and soup, a nice hot apple cider, and a good desert of apple pie a la mode with ice cream.

They are small and busy but keep a friendly attitude and give great service. The food is healthy and delicious. A must if ever in Chelsea.

Westville mostly has very healthy food, but they also have hot dogs, burgers and some other not always considered healthy food. They put their own "healthy twist" on these dishes and it all seems to work okay.

The Westville is around the corner from where we stay during our short vacation. One evening we were too tired to look for a restaurant and we decided to 'go local' and stay in the neighborhood. Westbille was a great success with excellemt fresh food, tasty, not pricy and the service was more than expected, BUT rhe only tjing that I didn't like was the way the serve their wine in glasses (regular) and not in wine glasses. WHY????? How are you supposed to drink your white wine and keep it cold??? They couldn't understand what's wrong....

Being in NYC, of course one of the items you must have is a mac 'n cheese. So some Googling let me to find a list of the top 10 Mac 'n Cheeses in NYC, this place was in the top 10 and reasonably walking distance, so we went here. Despite arriving at 21.30 on a Friday night, there was still a queue of people waiting to be seated. We managed to skip some of the queue by agreeing to sit at the bar instead of a table. The menu was great with some real funky items on there, but I was there for the mac 'n cheese and knew exactly what I wanted. Orders were placed and we waited. Unfortunately our wait was quite long, and people seated next to us who ordered after us had already got their food. Credit to the bar man, he caught my eye, saw we still weren't eating and clearly went to the kitchen to check up on it. I think our food may have been rushed through a little afterwards, but nevertheless it came quickly after that and it was great service that he noticed. The food itself more than made up for the wait. It was simply sublime. So many complex flavours, the smokey bacon really added to it and it was just incredibly tasty. Even my partner, who was not sold on the idea, tried and was incredibly positively surprised. For the prices we paid it was an extremely good value for money, and I can see why there's a queue outside this place as it was still full to the rafters when we left at about 22.45! Make your way to a Westville for Mac'n Cheese. You won't regret it....

Met up in Chelsea for lunch with cousins who scouted out this place so we Veggies could get good grub. And wow! What a menu! I had their Beyond Burger and the wife had the Crispy Vegan Quinoa & Artichoke Burger. But we were also amazed that they had vegan hot dogs on the menu. Our hosts and others raved about the meat and fish dishes as well. If you're in the area, give it a try.

We walked in to see a spacious, well lit room and sat down to look at a menu filled with many healthy and tempting options. For an appetizer we shared the market plate with cauliflower, crispy sweet potato fries and beets. We each had a delicious salad. The pesto chicken was perfect as was a Greek salad with salmon. Drunks were reasonable and since it was happy hour they were even more so. The portions were huge and we had to ask for doggie bags. Everything was delicious. Prices were low and service was efficient and friendly. One of my daughter’s favorite eateries.

I had been told this was the best hamburger in New York. Nahhh... not really. It was good, but maybe I had too high expectations. My wife had the turkey hamburger and the portion was too big for anyone´s mouth. I had the regular burger. Great burger! It just didn´t blow my brains out. Maybe it´s me. Everything else is pretty healthy-ish. Excellent neighborhood restaurant. Not my pick for a tourist attraction at all.

Your first impression is warmth, cozy and welcoming. Many wonderful choices on the menu--even if you are vegan. I am in a quandary. What will I choose? I choose the chicken cutlets with two sides--garlic mashed potatoes and Bok Choy. Delicious and plentiful.

Stopped in for lunch and the market vegetable plate was exactly what I wanted! Brussels sprouts were just ok, wouldn’t order them again. Beets with goat cheese and walnuts was really good as was the tahini roasted cauliflower. I also took the watermelon mint and feta salad and it was a great way to end the meal! Service was quick and efficient, restaurant was well air conditioned and clean.

Too noisy, you can easily get a headache. food isn't what I expected. Service was fast. Visited for dinner on weekday.

We came here for dinner based on a recommendation and it did not disappoint. We were given a ten minute wait time and passed the time under an enclosed heated entrance way. The wait staff was very attentive and there was a great atmosphere. We ordered chicken cutlets with two vegetable sides (beets with goat cheese and cauliflower with tahini sauce, and cherry tomatoes and garlic mashed potatoes). Everything was awesome. We would recommend this place for a small group of friends or couples based on the alloted space. The price was average but you definitely got your money's worth.

We loved this place. Staff were super friendly and accommodating, they were great with allergies, and the food was outstanding. Great soundtrack playing and we got a free cocktail as it was their 20th birthday!! I really recommend Westville! We spent half of our time there thinking that if we ever opened a cafe in our home town it would be exactly the same!!

We went on a Friday at 5pm for an early meal when it wasn't crowded (yet). The three of us shared a grilled cheese, the skirt steak and the 4 sides. The grilled cheese was good although they may have been too generous with the bacon we opted for, the steak was tasty and perfectly prepared but the sides were the highlight. Peas and bacon, tomato and mozarella, asparagus with lemon and Parmesan and the sweet potato fries were all enjoyed immensely but remember, it's a big serve perfect for splitting but impossible for one. Friendly servers and nice indie vibe made for a very pleasant hour.

Ate here after eating at the Dumbo location of the same name yesterday. It was great to see the high standard and quality of food was also present in the Chelsea location. Simple and delicious healthy food with bucket loads of flavour - what more could you want in a lunch dish!

I love this place! It is filled with locals who want fresh food at reasonable prices. It is not a vegetarian restaurant but it has great options for healthy food and plenty of choices for vegetarians. I had a combination plate of four items both times. The veggies were prepared wonderfully and the grilled tofu was the best tofu I've ever eaten. This place is wonderful.

My best friends daughter had seen this place online and was dying to try it so, when we were recently in the city this past week we took the subway and stopped in. It is off the beaten path but, well worth the trip! The restaurant is small and cozy but not stuffy... prices are great and food is awesome!! will def be going back!

What a lovely place to meet up with family in Chelsea! Our waitstaff was incredibly attentive, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was warm and conducive to cross-table conversation. We would go here again in a heartbeat!

One of the best brunch places in New York. Don’t miss out on the farmers market veggies and sweet potato fries.

Fresh food and friendly staff in Quaint part of neighborhood. Very affordable too. Custom made omelets and hearty bread.

Delicious!!!! I had the lemon chicken and sesame peas with garlic potatoes.. All delicious. Dessert was berry rhubarb pie also wonderful! Lots of great vegetables. Everyone we were with loved their food and soon after we sat down there was a line of people waiting. Best meal while visiting New York!

A very healthy choice in Chelsea that is not very expensive. A large choice of very good and fresh foods. Lots of vegetables and choices of other great foods. I chose the Gaspacho soup, wonderful taste and really hit the spot on a hot day in September!

Enjoyed a dinner with five in a weeknight in Chelsea. The menu was innovative but comforting, offering range of salads, entrees, specials with lots of options to mix and match sides. Each in our party had challenges picking just one entree. I had the salmon with two sides, and chose pesto mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. My son had the same salmon, with pesto mashed potatoes and a healthy portion of sautéed kale. The other three loves their dishes. We shared two desserts, each were yummy. The biggest draw back is the Noise level.. It is so loud here that I Had to shout at my son to have a conservation although we sat side by side. Our wait for a table was about 45 minutes, too, and something delayed the arrival of our food, which turned out about 40minutes later . The staff is very friendly and attentive, despite the chaotic and noise level of this somewhat tiny place. It appears there is no alcohol allowed at least on the patio outside seating, although the waiter said one could order from the bar a glass of wine. We did not feel like drinking, and instead basked in the uber healthy entrees wi copious amounts of water poured from plain wine bottles.

Under no circumstances would I come here again during peak hours (e.g., brunch/lunch on weekends). The wait was recently 40 minutes, and the table we were given had me sitting -- without exaggeration -- about 3 inches from the woman next to me, who was part of a group of three that had been seated at a table for two. She was sitting closer to me than she was to her two other companions. We quickly passed on the table; the next couple decided to take it, and after a few minutes, they themselves got up and asked to sit elsewhere. It was really inappropriately crowded, even by NYC standards. It was a shame because the sweet potato fries were excellent (cooked thoroughly and crunch), as is some of their other food. I just need to come back during a slower time.

healthy food in neighborhood atmosphere / breakfast burrito is a must try / scramble eggs are equally good / sitting in bar is comfortable enough without waiting in line for a table

On a sister’s week trip to NY and visiting Hi Line Urban walk/park and Chelsea historic district. Stumbled on this restaurant and could not have been happier. Excellent food and service. Small but wonderful. Thanks for the great meal! For some reason, website would not let us click on food, service and value...all great!

Not so good !!!!! Very tight and warm !!!! They do not believe in air conditioning !!!! Poor menu and bad , bad service with an attitude. Not so good for the location, full of good restaurants with good/friendly service. Very disappointed.

My absolutely favorite place for solid, consistently tasty healthy meals. The turkey burger is my fav!

Went to Westville (there are several in NYC, I think this is the one we went to) on an early Friday evening (7pm) after a nearby jazz set at Smalls Jazz Club. A very small and seemingly unassuming restaurant. with a short line of people waiting on the sidewalk to get in, but a server offered drinks or appetizers to those waiting outside., It billed itself as "the best hamburger in New York City". We tried them, and they may very well be right, though we can't speak for all of the rest. This place seemed too small for even three people at a small table, but they made it work. One server, but she was quick and amazingly efficient. Grilled to order hamburger on a Brioche-like bun, (can't remember the exact name) - it was truly well-grilled and wonderful, the best I have had in quite a long time, small salad, ice tea. Everything was exceedingly and unexpectedly tasty for such a long, small (tiny? Maybe about 15 - 20 tables) and seemingly unassuming place - I would not only go again, but looked for one in another part of Manhattan before I left. There were about six exceedingly busy and animated chefs (cooks?) visible, basically back-to-back in the small kitchen at the end of the long, narrow restaurant. Amusingly to get to the restroom (squeeze through the small, sliding, door actually) one had to walk through the kitchen and the cooks - the server called out some type of phrase and all the cooks stood at attention to each side until you pass. Reverse the procedure on the way out. Apparently this process happens routinely. Everyone, including the server, was really amused at that passage, don't know about the cooks. Can't speak for the rest of the, basically organic, menu, but I would go back again and again for the hamburger if I were in Manhattan. This would probably be one of my favorite places. Highly recommended.

My husband and I had the chance to do a late lunch at Westville in Chelsea. It was around 3pm on a weekday which meant no wait. The chicken Cobb salad was yummy, with fresh avocados and juicy chicken. If you're a veggie lover, the market plate allows you to get 5 veggies sides. The staff is friendly and efficient. A no hassle and easy place for lunch!

They practiced sanitary and social distancing. Hand sanitizers at every table outdoor or indoor. Heated lamps and plexy glass dividing dining tables.Customer service was great. Many food options and decent portions. Would definitely come back again!

All of the food is incredible but the market sides are my favorite. I mean, sides are the best part of the meal, right? And at westville you can get 4 of them as your meal! And they have tons of sides to choose from. It’s a place to go for vegans and vegetarians. And they have great meat options too so your friends won’t have to compromise.

Our party of five waited forty minutes after the hostess told us it would be a ten to fifteen minute wait. Undaunted, we expectantly watched bags of delivery meals go out the door. It's got to be good for people to line up in NYC, we thought. Once seated, the waitress insisted that we give her our dinner orders with our drink orders and rushed us through. Then we waited . . . and waited for our meals, during which time the waitress never returned. After eventually dropping off the food, we literally never saw her again. Other staff checked every few minutes to see if our table would be ready soon, but no one asked us about our meals, poured water or anything else. Some of the food was good, including our squash and asparagus as well as the pork chops. But the salads lacked flavor (and even some listed ingredients). The fish and chips were just sad, overly coated with tempura that wasn't cooked on the inside. We came because of the vegetable selection, expecting to be wowed and wanting to try several options. But alas, it was a very poor showing. I didn't get it . . . why wait around for okay food and bad service?

This was my first time at Westville Chelsea, but definitely not my last. My niece said this was her favorite place for lunch. She was absolutely right about it. I ordered the market plate where you get 4 types of vegetables on one platter. I had the roasted cauliflower, sautéed broccoli, mushrooms and zucchini with tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. Each vegetable was better than the next. My niece had the beets, asparagus, mushrooms and cauliflower. We were both so happy with our selections. As an extra we had the truffle laced french fries. They were outstanding! I usually cannot stand the smell of truffle oil, but these fries were amazing. There was absolutely no smell of truffle oil on the fries. My niece could not have been happier that I loved my lunch. It was a great experience and I cannot wait to bring the rest of my family here.

Definitely deserves all the penny you give. Had hard time to finish the plate because it was a lot. Ordered regular ice tea which they make only from black tea and also smells like flower. Looking forward to try the breakfast. Friendly staff.

Love Westville for its fresh ingredients and variety of veggies. This Westville in Chelsea can get really crowded with lots of people waiting outside to get in at weekend breakfast, brunch time and lunch. Friday is pretty crazy too. But the waitstaff here are terrific. Dishes arrive in front of you quickly. I love the egg dishes with delicious side salads... a delish way to have a no carb breakfast. Some of the cooked veggies can get a little too salted so say something to the waiter. They are great about customizing. The restaurant is very noisy and crowded with people talking louder and louder over the funky music. That's why we like to go there during a slow time. Love, Love, Love Westville's menu. That's why even with a wait and noise... It's worth it.

A great location for any type of meal. Really love their weekend brunch and breakfast as well. Don't miss the cucumber lemonade! 😀

Tucked away down 18th Street, this branch of Westville is a great place for a meal. Atmosphere is buzzy and busy. Food is tasty and (by NYC standards) good value. Portions large. Service friendly. You might have to queue at busy times (around 6 in the evening) but tables free up pretty swiftly.

Very friendly staff. decent food. Cobb salad but the lettuce didn't seem fresh. Asked waiter for a salad dressing three times and it took ten minutes to receive. Wait staff is not trained here and it would really help place. Received an appetizer that is supposed to be warm, it was cold. Salad was just ok. Didn't taste fresh.

We ended up here after googling some food ideas and I’m glad we stumbled across this place . We loved loved our food- zero complaints!!! We had some vegetarians in our party and they also had no issues finding something to eat. Would defo come back.. and actually might later during this trip!!

No pretense here. If I lived in NY I would eat here everyday. Best Gazpacho ever. (order with avocado) I had the Teriyaki Veggie Rice Bowl with tofu and my friend had the Cilantro Salmon Burger. A glass of Cabernet Sauvignon and a toast to my new favorite place. Luis S was super nice too. Looking forward to returning as I think this is where the local residents must eat and eat at often.

Love going to this place when I want a cheap, healthy meal. The menu is varied and the food is super healthy. The place is pretty tiny so you may have to wait, but the food is worth it!

Great brunch , delicious menu choices , vegan options available, nice cocktails and wine. Good vibes and friendly service.

What a great find in Chelsea NYC... We had great draft brew and a magical Smoky Mac n Cheese! Our entrees were great as well but believe me when I say you get your money worth in portion. I would go back here in a heartbeat.

Nice cozy place with friendly staff. Food is delicious!! This place is always crowded so plan ahead. I know why now it is always busy!! Would definitely return.

A different kind of menu for brunch here. What I ordered (waffles, eggs & fruit) was well prepared & really fresh. The decaf coffee was watery & not to my liking, but the rest was made up for it. Service was efficient; clientele was a bit on the young side.

Arranged lunch here because of super convenient location. Blown away by assortment of delicious fresh food. Market vegetables. Artichoke quinoa patty. Had a yummy and affordable salad. Go!

My perfect restaurant! Fresh, wholesome food -- beautifully cooked. Desserts made in house. I especially loved the list of market vegetables cooked in interesting ways. You could order a plate of 4 and I could barely finish. Pecan pie was top notch, and the service was lovely.

Pros: cute little place and a good double date night. Food was impeccably done and highly delicious. Specialize in freshly prepared vegetables (I love meat, but I could easily make a meal out of just veggies here.) I had the breaded chicken cutlet, asparagus and parmesean, and roasted potatoes. All delicious and not greasy. Cons: loud, so harder to talk. Cocktails were just terrible. I first had the Frozen mint lemonade, but it was tasteless and grassy so I sent it back. Next got a frozen strawberry and protection drink, but it too was terrible. I usually don't send things back and I just suck it up and drink it, but these mademails me think "has anyone who owns the restaurant *actually* ever tried these? Takeaway: go for the food - you won't be disappointed! Skip the cocktails.

We were Waking thought Chelsea and looking for a place for coffee and cake. Then we walked by westville. What a nice surprise. The place has table outside and the day was beautiful for it. We had great coffee and yummy carrot cake.

Ordered dinner for five of us. They not only got the order right, but on time! It was delicious to boot. Hamburger was great! Grilled vegetables were also to perfection. The place was packed with a long line of people waiting for a table on this Thursday night. Would definitely go back. They deliver to only certain areas of the city.

We go here all the time for dinner in Chelsea. We usually get takeout because it's a bit of a mob scene on the weekends, but service is friendly and prompt. The food is really, really good. Especially the burgers and fries. Yum. It's not cheap, and it's often crowded, but probably worth the wait and money.

It is so refreshing to eat at an establishment that gets customer service. We recently enjoyed a great meal at the Westville Chelsea location. Not only was the meal absolutely delicious, but the staff was friendly, attentive and very efficient. The space itself is cozy and warm. A nice spot to meet friends for nice conversation without yelling at one another. I personally had the grilled chicken breast with peas and pesto mashed potatoes. Delicious!! My companions thoroughly enjoyed their meals as well. Great place all around.

Met son and friend here for dinner after work. Unable to book a table so stood outside waiting for a table. The whole place is fast, frenetic, cramped and loud. Young professional clientele eating after work!! Steak sandwich was good sirloin with salad and fries as a side. My wife had fish and chips [English style] however it was fish goujons and skinny fries. Prices quite reasonable for NYC.

I had the salmon special with bok choy and roasted potatoes and my girlfriend had the cod with peas and garlic mashed potatoes. Everything tasted great, healthy, and the portions were ample. Service was quick and friendly.

Worth the line wait. Great menu selections and many choices, inexpensive, healthy. Small restaurant. Great for vegetarians. Great neighborhood restaurant and not for tourists..

Tiny place and a little cramped but the food is great and original. There are alcoholic beverages but for some reason, most people aren't drinking so at first, I thought they must be alcohol-free but rest assured, there are plenty of choices. I had a lamb gyro burger and it was perfectly done. Nice service.

Been wanting to come here and.so glad.i came for lunch. The salmon and veggies were perfect. We sat outside. A little tight seating

There's a reason why there is usually a line outside this place. The food is excellent, and so are the prices. That is very unusual for a New York restaurant. There is something for everyone here. The salads are excellent, they have awesome vegtable plates. They have hearty comfort food ( with an edge) as well. The burgers are the best in the city (no kidding) You can actually get hot dogs, and grilled corn on the cob here. So its the perfect family place. The women love it, the teens, and little ones have so much to choose from. The guys will love the po boys and and steaks. Oh and the fries are amazing!

Sunday breakfast in NYC or Branch this is the best ever Lovely full of organic food well prepared you can not stop eating the BLT is mouthwatering Very light and healthy tea Is just what you want to start shopping in Chelsea Very friendly elegant price is very good for the Qualty you get Highly recommend it

I'll keep this short and sweet because I can write a book. You HAVE to go here. Their market plate options (grilled veggies and other healthier foods) is to die for. Their brunch is SO GOOD! We used to order delivery from there, and they were around the corner. Also a cool spot to sit down at!

Went with group of 8 for daughters 1st anniversary. Great service, great company and great food. Had a different take on eggs benidect, put in grilled tomato instead of ham, Very good option. Like location and layout Will return next trip yo NYC .

This is a fairly small place but service is quick and your meal comes very fast. A nice selection of healthy options and very good salads. The place is very loud however.

I've had dinner here recently. They have a pretty nice dinner menu and I went for the boneless half chicken. It tasted nice and it came with a salad, some pita bread and mashed potatoes for 22 dollars. It was alright, not impressive. Quite disappointed of the few bones I found inside the chicken. The mashed potatoes were rather bland. The service was nice, though and there was a nice atmosphere for a good evening. I've tried cucumber lemonade for the first time in my life and it was an interesting experience. It's a good place for an average meal.

Very reasonably priced for the location and quality of the food. We had a table that straddled the indoor and outdoor seating of the restaurant, which was ideal. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. I had a very tasty turkey hash dish. Service was friendly, and they did not try to rush us out despite our prime seating location!

Loved this place! Great menu with lots of healthy choices. Prices were pretty good too! Place was very clean and comfortable. Gets pretty crowded though since it's so popular and food is good. But well worth it!!

You will not regret it. Especially the Brussels sprouts, amazingly cooked to perfection. I know the other menu options look very tempting as well but definitely definitely need to order some of their veggies. FYI I’m not a vegetarian but I’d still choose their veggies over the rest of the menu

Westville is my favorite place and I go at least once whenever I’m in New York. I had the market vegetables for lunch with Brussels sprouts, yucca, and broccoli. The yucca was the best. The day before I had been to their Hell’s Kitchen location and the food was even better. However it was still good and the dishes of others looked really good. This is a great down to earth place if you love veggies, but they have plenty of other options as well.

Nothing fancy as far as the decor but the food was very good and presented well. Service was attentive, keeping us in water. I had the grilled chicken plate and chose salad and brussel sprouts and the wife had a burger with salad. All was very good. Nice lunch for 2 in NYC for $36 including tax & tip.

Most times when we have walked past this place on our visits, it is always busy. We decided that we should put our name on the wait list. Even though it was busy it was not that long of a wait (15 minutes). It was a lovely evening, so we sat outside and it had less noise than the inside. Everything on the menu looks so good. I choose the healthy salad with chicken and my husband had a vegetable plate. The food was fresh and delicious. Now we know why it is always busy. It is on our list to return the next time in NYC.

We loved the flavours of the food, the food was fresh and tasty.. We got great service from both the bar staff and the staff at the door.. The only downside was the volume inside of the restaraunt. We couldnt talk to eachother, it was that loud.

I placed a take out order - chicken noodle soup, vegetarian chili, and french fries. The chicken noodle soup was terrible -some noodles and disgusting pieces of chicken thrown into dish water. The chili was better - but hormel from the can would have been better. The fires were not bad but not too good reheated the next day.

Good honest food with a healthy bias. The place is very casual which is a plus given it's a local eatery aimed at the nearby Google/tech crowd. I do wonder if the place is kept clean enough - the area behind the bar is a mess of dirty plates, and I don't want to think about what the kitchen looks like.... And really, don't serve wine in huge, cheap glasses filled to the rim. Do something casual, but keep a bit sharper. Don't take your success for granted.

Fish sandwich $16, Salad $10, two sides $12, two deserts $12 The menu items were creative, and the food was good. The place was full and boisterous at our late [ 2 PM ] lunch.

Lovely restaurant in Chelsea. Service was very friendly and efficient and the food was very good and reasonably priced. The wine servings are very generous as well. Our party had the mac and cheese with bacon, turkey burger, and fish and chips and everyone was very pleased with their food. This is a small restaurant and very casual, but a great place for a quick, casual meal!

After spending three weeks in North America it was nice to finally get some healthy and tasty food. There is a massive selection of vegetables and the option of some lean meats. The "soufflé" dessert was not a soufflé but quite a nice try. The service was friendly, fast and organised. The entire place had a really nice vibe and I will definitely go again next time I'm in NYC.

This restaurant was fairly close to our hotel so we thought we'd huge it a try. Not only was the food outstanding, but the atmosphere was fun and relaxing, and our waiter was awesome! Highly recommend!

I live around the corner from this Westville, and have also tried two of their other locations in the city. What you get at Westville is always as follows: - busy (expect a wait for a seat if at one of their smaller restaurants) - good service - large menu with good variety / choice - pretty decent food I've not experienced brunch here, but it seems from the reviews that they are worth trying. However for a nice spot for a good dinner, Westville is definitely a good option.

Trying to pick a nice quick healthy bite can be hit and miss. This was a hit! I had a veggie burger and salad, really yum. My partner had a chicken and vegetable dish, again really yum. The mint Prosecco crush was just what I needed in the hot evening. Lovely staff and atmosphere.

I enjoyed Westville-- We went for brunch and I had the rice bowl which was extremely filling. Our server offered me a ceramic mug for my Starbucs (I felt bad because I walked in with it without even thinking) but he brought out the cup without even asking which I thought was nice. The bloodys here are fantastic!! They are made with sake which might sound odd but it adds a certain sweetness to the Bloody Mary that I just love. My friend got eggs benedict and she said she really liked it. I would go here again for sure-- the menu options are great and so are the wide variety of sides. The Bloody Mary's alone are enough to bring me back. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the neighborhood and looking for a good brunch spot.

Love the selection and the fresh food. They only serve beer and wine though. I had the veggie burger which was fabulous. The artichokes and grilled corn were also awesome.

Yes, a little crowded, but great buzz; staff super friendly and prompt. What struck me was the huge selection of vegetarian food, but yet offered salmon, chicken, steak, beef and turkey burgers. Ordered the strip steak and substituted Brussels sprouts instead of green salad ($1 extra). In less than 10 minutes, food arrived cooked to temp (MR), with hot crispy fries (the best), and the best flavored pan fried spouts - very tasty. Indulged in special desert of warmed cherry pie ala mode, again delicious.

Very friendly Personal. The food (vegan Burger, vegan Hotdog) was extremly good (nothing to complain about). I'll recommand eating here.

My daughter and I ate here twice in our 5 day visit in Chelsea. So many times when traveling, it is hard to get well prepared vegetables that are not loaded with fat. Their menu allows you to order and pick sides or an entree of a bunch of sides. There are so many veggies to choose from. Our favorites were the cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, and asparagus, but everything we tried was delicious. My daughter was a huge fan of the parmesan fries and the pesto potatoes. You can also order a side of grilled chicken, which was a perfect amount with a plate of veggies.

This restaurant is small and really really yummy. I went there with my son and we had Brussels sprouts, the seared tuna special and a chicken gyro. It was surprisingly affordable by NYC standards. We will definitely go back here a lot. Thank you!

The selections are good & the food is very tasty -once you eventually get it. Good luck. The manager comped my meal after I complained about the egregiously bad service, but I'm not giving this place a pass. Came for a weekend brunch, entered solo 7 minutes after it opened; only 4 customers total seated inside, outside & at the counter. The place filled up completely within 45 minutes & I see lots of food coming from the kitchen going to all the others who came in AFTER me. Guess what? I have NOTHING & have to ask repeatedly about what happened to my order. This made me really uncomfortable & I get these hostile vibes from the lame staff, like I did something wrong. As the in-my-face manager rudely put it, "Mistakes happen". Yeah right, just not with me & I won't let it happen again by returning!!!

I won't lie...when my friends suggested this place and I looked at it I thought...way to 'green' for me. After a visit...I must've been crazy! This place was great. Yes, lots of healthy options but cooked well and delicious. On our table we had Market plates with asparagus, Brussels sprouts potatoes, green beans...we had salmon, chicken and even a turkey burger. Everyone really enjoyed it and the large portions were more than enough. It is a small restaurant but the ambiance was just right and we made friends with our neighbors sitting so close. I would love to return and try dessert. Too full this time!

We enjoyed a brunch together. The menu is original and the desserts are excellent. It is a bit crowded but the waiters took good care of us. Recommended if you are in the neighborhood.

When reading the menu I wasn’t too excited about what they had to offer however, when the food arrived to the table I was happily surprised. The food was very, very good and a generous portion. I highly recommend the yucca fries and the kale salad if you’re there for brunch. Service was good & they kept refilling coffee without asking which is always appreciated.

Whilst exploring NYC on foot I visited "Westville Chelsea" for some Sunday Brunch. The place was packed and so I sat at the bar which was fine. I liked the menu and opted for the Skirt Steak with 2 poached eggs, potato hash (more mash actually) and Portuguese muffin. I didn't have to wait very long, even though it was busy, and I really enjoyed my food. All the other dishes I saw coming our the kitchen all looked great too. It is a healthy food kind of place and the quality is high. Prices are reasonable, my Skirt Steak & Eggs was one of the most expensive choices at US$19 + Tax. My only observation / comment would be about the staff, more the number of them and the fact that some seemed to be rushed off their feet whilst others did not seem to be doing a lot other than getting in each others way. For example there were 3 or 4 at front of house, but only 1 seemed to be doing anything, maybe the others were in training? Ambiance was good though and I would recommend a visit to anyone.

Deeeeeelicious! Truly, I had trouble figuring out what to order, because I wanted everything! I'm a fairly healthy eater and it's so nice to eat in a restaurant that clearly feels the same. Locally sourced and fresh ingredients. The market plate of four vegetables (you get to choose from about ten different ones) is amazing and large enough that it's best shared by two people. We sat at the bar and the service was awesome. Great energy. Great space. Great lighting. There are even a few tables outside when the weather is nice. We were there for brunch but I will gladly come back for the turkey burger, salads and more of those veggies! (PS Skip the waffles. They're a little rubbery. Not worth the calories, even with the real maple syrup.)

Very healthy menu. Our party of three were all happy with their dishes. Avocado taco appetizer was delicious, we shared the three and it was a treat. Service was great. We will be back.

My business guest recommended this place - it's his favorite when visiting Chelsea. The location was easy to find though street parking isn't as generous and local parking garages are quite steep (welcome to NYC). The place was hopping so I made sure to put my name on the list as soon as I arrived. Once my guest showed up, we were quickly seated and greeted by the wait staff who made some excellent recommendations for a first timer like myself. The food came out quicker than I expected (good considering how busy they were) and the food was hot and fresh! Everything tasted absolutely amazing - you can truly taste the quality! We started off with the MacNcheese w bacon - to die for and I had one of their daily specials (quinoa-based asian rice bowl with chicken) - in the top 3 I've ever tasted (and I've eaten quite a few;) I'll absolutely come back next time I'm in town. Worth a stop!

A lovely restaurant with delicious food, really helpful staff who made our lunchtime experience one to remember. Would highly recommend this place, great value for money.

Tried dinner based on a recommendation of someone who had brunch previously. Westville Chelsea has the small neighborhood restaurant vibe with simple, appealing decor. Menu has a broad enough selection for any taste, focus is on their market vegetables and they were great as an appetizer. The main entrees were also very good. Service was very good, they work as a team so very efficient. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is my draft beer was not very cold and they sat our party of 3 at a 2 top with a corner bench when there was an open 4 top, or they could have offered to move the table next to us so we were not so cramped. There was nobody at that table and other tables were open so it would not ya e denied other service. It is the little things that earn that fifth star! Overall a nice place with reasonable prices, would visit again.

Westville is a place I go to for a hearty, healthy meal but also where I'm able to enjoy a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Everyone I bring is pleasantly surprised at how flavorful all of the food is and there's always something for everyone. Tons of vegetarian options with the marketplace sides that you can order as your main to burgers and salads. If you're a sweet potato fanatic like me, this place is a no fail. Also great for brunch all year round and even for dinner. Prices aren't on the cheap side but still reasonable for the quality of food and I never feel like I wasted my money. Service is friendly and the place as a whole inevitably hipster. Highly recommended!

Westville have this new amazing concept. Serve a variety of vegetables, with meat, fish and chicken. I don't think it will ever catch on. Honeyed steak stir fry was a chore to eat. Small amount of tough meat, and the sweet marinade ran right through the veggies and rice. Like eating a chewy dessert. Swimming in water underneath too. I managed half of it. Others had salmon and chicken (both very dry) and a Greek salad that was served without dressing of any kind (it had to be requested). The food came incredibly quickly, possibly because it was about an hour to closing. Staff were pleasant and obliging to start with, but had vanished by the time we left. Nobody said "thanks" or "goodnight".

Right after checking out Strand Book Store, we had coffee and asked someone how to get to the nearest vegetarian joint. They pointed us to Westville Chelsea. So, off we went. I'm the vegetarian. My friend, not so much LOL. So, Westville fit the bill for both of us. I ordered the market plate, which allows you to create your own meal from a host of vegetarian options. I selected artichokes, brussels sprouts, zucchini, and mashed potatoes. I really loved the brussels sprouts. The options were tasty. Nothing was under/over cooked. However, I had no idea how much food would be on that plate. Way too much for me. So, be ready to share or take some food home. We ordered entrees, 2 glasses of Prosecco, and 2 coffees for $65. The price point was on target for me.

This is such an excellent way to enjoy a healthy meal with friends or family. The menu is varied and unusual, but healthy and comforting. Take a chance on the market plate and enjoy a heaping plate of veggies and sids. It can be very busy during peak hours, but the line moves quickly - so stick it out! This location is larger than others, but it still is not good for large groups. Come early and come hungry!!!

This is my favorite restaurant which makes me reluctant to give it another great review. It is a place for locals, but all are welcome. I am older than most of their customers but have always felt welcome and comfortable. I had lunch here all three days I was in New York. I have to admit that i always get the same thing, a plate of 4 veggies. I get the Brussels sprouts, broccoli, tofu and one other choice. The yucca fries were excellent and sweet potato fries were also good. This isn't a vegetarian restaurant but is great for vegetarians. The veggies are super fresh and well prepared. My husband likes meat at most meals, but when we were in NY last year he wanted the veggies every time. The people working at the bar where I sat were true professionals. They were efficient, friendly and always had an eye on things. This place is informal and everyone seems to be having a good time. It is always busy and does get loud. If that is an issue they have take out and delivery.

Delicious and healthy! We had the kale salad with chicken and chose 4 side veggies: Brussels sprouts, mushrooms, zucchini and sweet potatoes. I’m hoping we make it back even though we’re only in NYC less than 3 days.

A small restaurant at Chelsea that offers a wide selection of cheap healthy eats. recommended for the Vegetarians among us. Nice service. Good value.

All branches are great, but order delivery because they are tiny. The side of steak is delicious and cheap. The market vegetables are amazing. I order in for all my out of town friends and regularly for myself.

Excellent fresh, healthy meals at reasonable prices. I had the mac and cheese (delicious!) and a side of zucchini, cherry tomatoes and mozzarella, also delicious. My husband had the grilled chicken breast, the summer quinoa salad (YUM) and steamed broccoli. Every plate that was brought to the tables dining near us looked incredible as well. Great value for the fresh, quality food you receive. I will return to a Westville location on my next trip!

Had a reservation for noon on Sat 5/20. Uber took forever. Traffic was horrible. I called to say we were running late. Whoever I spoke with thanked me for calling. Finally got there. A walk in ahead of us was told 30 min wait. It was not crowded. We were told our reservation was no good. Worst customer service ever! Unprintable words describe their attitude. You couldn’t pay me to go to ANY Westville EVER!

Very good brunch. It is a fast paced atmosphere, but the waiter did not rush us. Food was very high quality. Good variety of a menu.

My dear husband and I had dinner last night with a very good friend of ours. Our friend had been here before, and likes this place. Our friend probably doesn't mind the loud, trendy atmosphere, but looking in from the sidewalk I was put off by the first impression. We, three of us, were then seated around the smallest two-top table I've ever sat at. After the water bottle, three water glasses, the wine bottle, and three wine glasses, were all set on the table, along with the salt and pepper shakers, I was wondering where the plates would fit, once we ordered. Well, we ordered food, and it was served rather quickly, and we all enjoyed the food. I had the turkey burger with smoked Gouda, and it was tasty and not dry. I got the sweet potato fries and they were cooked very well, they were almost crisp, the way I liked them. About half way through the meal a small votive candle was placed on the last remaining two square inches of free space on the table, and the lights were turned down. Unfortunately it was still very loud, very warm, and very very cramped. At this point our waiter went MIA but we eventually were able to get someone else help us with our bill. Once we paid we effected some origami-type moves to extricate ourselves from our table without upsetting tables near by. A small shout of kudos: When the wait staff tried to clear the plate of the person who finished their meal first, while the other two were still eating, that person asked to wait to clear the plate. They immediately understood that, even though the table was crowded, we still preferred the more polite custom of not clearing plates until everyone at the table is done eating. In the end, though I enjoyed the food, the atmosphere just made me want to get out of there. The cold sidewalk was welcomed by me, and I probably won't go back. However, I can seem this place's appeal to others who don't mind this sort of atmosphere.

I agree with all the other reviews - great neighborhood restaurant! It's a small restaurant so there is a wait unless you can get a spot at the bar. I ordered one of the daily specials - a lovely trout on a bed of an even better salad.

There aren't words to describe this restaurant. The service is great. The location is amazing. The food is spectacular. Prepare to (1) wait about 25-30 minutes for a table (it is that popular) and (2) prepare to be squeezed into a small table.

My daughter and I first came here on a trip to New York to check out schools. We went twice during that first trip. We had to come back when we went apartment hunting and again the weekend when we moved her to New York. I am so thrilled to get delicious vegetables. Despite have a bunch of great sounding entrees, I keep ording the vegetable plate with a side of chicken. I have not had a bad veggie, but my favorites are the cauliflower, mushrooms, Brussels sprouts, and asparagus. My daughter is in love with the pesto mashed potatoes and parmesan fries (definitely better than the regular fries which are tasty--nice and crispy). My husband was with us this time. He ordered a burger. He doesn't get red meat often and is often disappointed. He thought Westville's burger was one of the best burgers he has had in a long time. The stormy cider was delicious and warm for outdoor dining.

This is the restaurant I wish we had in Jacksonville, Florida. But the next time I'm in New York, this is the place to go for just about the tastiest, healthiest, and most reasonable food in the city. This little gem of a restaurant has four locations in the city, but we dined at the Chelsea location on a busy Saturday night. In spite of the crowd, we were met with the most attentive service imaginable--everything from waiters constantly making sure we had what we needed to helpful suggestions about the creative menu. I happen to love vegetables, but not the soggy or rock hard ones you typically get at most diners. While this restaurant offers everything from fish to steak, it was the vegetable dishes I couldn't get enough of because where can you find Chipotle Lime Corn Salad, Grilled Kale Polenta or Quinoa Salad with Butternut Squash, Parsley and Pumpkin Seeds? The varied and delicious combinations of healthy vegetables and salads was staggering, however, the meat dishes were extremely good as well. We fought over the piece of homemade pie that was mouthwatering incredible! Love, love, love this restaurant! Please, come to Atlantic Beach, Florida!

We visited here the night before Thanksgiving for dinner. There were two of us and we were seated immediately around 6 pm. The waiter came right over and gave us water. He returned a few minutes later for our drink order. We ordered the lime guacamole app and wow--we love guacamole and it was easily one of the best we've had. It came with fresh, baked pita chips. I ordered a Moroccan steak and rice bowl. The steak was cooked exactly the way I ordered and was absolutely delicious. My friend ordered the Mexican Shepherd's Pie and could barely finish it. We paid about $30 for an app, two entrees and an iced tea. Not too bad for NYC! Service was excellent, our server was very attentive.

I tried several vegan places in Manhattan and many in the world and I liked it here quite a lot: quick service, democratic environment, gluten-free, vegan and steak menu so that every guest can find food for his taste. We liked the most mashed potato with pesto and rhubarb pie! It is a must to try!

Fresh farm to table cuisine at a good value in a casual environment. Huge portions so share the vegetable platter if you're ordering as a side. Great service and they are responsive by letting you know approximate wait time. They gave us mint lemonade as we were waiting for a table to open up. Been here three times so far and I'm glad they're in the neighborhood.

Enjoyed our meal here but their policy of not allowing you to build your own meal from the ingredients on offer and to charge a change in vegetable on a special meal is both dated and mean. Seems to promote a vegan message from the outside but not a lot of vegan meals on the specials! Otherwise enjoyed our meal and service good.

What a great place for a vegetarian to dine! We loved our choices. I ordered a Quinoa/ Artichoke Heart Burger off the Specials Menu and my partner ordered a Market Plate. The burger was great. Portion was plentiful and the flavors delicious. The selection of veggies and tofu on the Market Plate were divine. The asparagus was so flavorful and all dishes were cooked to perfection. The prices were decent and we were blessed with an exceptionally friendly wait staff person. Through her mask, she was beaming. I will definitely return when back in Chelsea!
Delicious!
My husband and I ate here last night and thoroughly enjoyed each dish. So many restaurants over salt everything. Not Westville. The mix of food and spices were perfect. We had the kale polenta, cauliflower parmesan, hangar steak, and almond crusted trout. The staff is attentive and polite. Our only con is how loud it is because it gets very crowded. But, it was definitely worth it!
