Robert & Daughter Niamh from Ireland 29th of December 2023 We found this little gem of a restaurant when we visited New York. Food and service was excellent friendly staff, and a lovely bar for cocktails. We enjoyed it very much and will return when back in New York.

Excellent service and good ambiance. Greek salad and small plates were exactly what we wanted. At least 2 other tables were celebrating birthdays.

Fabulous Turkish food. The owner is very warm and truly loves the work that he does. He warmly greets you and makes sure everything is just right. Three of us got the grilled platter along with a sampler appetizer and three desserts and had plenty of food.

We were staying at the Shoreham Hotel, where this restaurant is located on the ground floor. It's an attractive restaurant, and we each had an excellent Sea Bass dinner. But we never felt welcome there. Service was perfunctory and indifferent - as apparent regulars came in, the manager and staff fawned over them and all attention was diverted resulting in a low tip. Couldn't even get our water glasses refilled. While the food was great, what we remember is being treated as lower class out of towners. Customer service matters.

Restaurant attached to the Shoreham Hotel (55th w) where 5 of us stayed (two couples plus a friend). Pretense of Mediterranean cuisine but, unfortunately, bastardized by local tastes. Fish, meat and first courses all heavily seasoned with sauces, cream and various preparations which made the dishes exaggeratedly "loaded". Maybe this is American taste. We didn't like anything. In relation to the dinner, the price, for us, was high, certainly in line with NYC prices (over $300 for five but only one course each without wine and dessert), two bottles of S. Pellegrino $36. Blessed are the natives who can afford these prices.

Beautiful ambience with some amazing sea food platter and mock tails . Prompt service and a cozy place to visit with kids tooo !! Must try !

White Olive Mediterranean restaurant in Midtown NYC left me utterly impressed with its Mediterranean charm and delectable offerings. From the moment I walked in, the cozy yet elegant ambiance transported me to the Mediterranean coast. The décor's blend of ancient greek and modern elements sets the perfect mood for a delightful dining experience. The mezze platter was a true highlight, featuring hummus, tangy tzatziki, and an array of flavorful dips that tantalized my taste buds. The main course, lamb chops, was a savory delight. The succulent, perfectly grilled fillet mignon were paired with aromatic rice and a medley of grilled vegetables that showcased the restaurant's commitment to quality. The service was impeccable, with the staff being attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Their genuine enthusiasm added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. To conclude, the dessert – a delicate baklava – was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal, offering just the right amount of sweetness and crunch. White Olive unquestionably stands out as a Mediterranean haven in the heart of the city. With its inviting ambiance and exceptional Mediterranean dishes, it's a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic and memorable culinary experience. My visit to White Olive was a true delight, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Great ambience and service but food is mediocre. We gassing zucchini pancakes.. told that how they suppose to be. I love halloumi cheese but this was not good. Very bland. Octopus was prepared well but salad was bland and was way over priced. Really too bad as service and ambience were both great!

I recommend getting to know the flavors of Greece and Türkiye. Wonderful, welcoming and perfect. Impeccable presentation of dishes and decoration thought out to the smallest detail. We ordered Crab Cake, Girit Ezme (a mix of cheeses and pistachios), Surf N Turf and Chilean Seabass (whiting). Simply perfect. Congratulations to chef Ali.

DO NOT recommend. Ordered two things. First item arrived with a garnish item that was a disclosed allergy. Restaurant made it right, brought out a new item. It was perfectly edible, a bit bland and stiff, hummus. Second was a risotto. It was crunchy. That is, the rice was at best half cooked. They had two risottos on the menu, so I made the assumption that they actually make it. I just wanted a quiet table for a couple hours before I headed out of the city. It was quiet, but I wish I'd stuck to a drink and grabbed a couple of tacos on my way out.

Excellent welcome, we had a very good Christmas with the family. Very nice decoration. The dishes are tasty. Very good desserts 🙏

This place has great lighting and the server and hostess were very accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!!

Return trip was as delicious as last visit. Host and servers make sure you are well.cared for and food is excellent. Chicken salad appetizer is delicious. We will go each time we are in NYC.

Excellent welcome, very good food…. Stop there! The dishes are tasty, and the restaurant is very pleasant

White Olive clearly paid a lot of attention to decorating and lighting - the restaurant has a very white/cream interior, with sleek lighting choices to make sure the interior is always brightly lit in comparison to it's surroundings. The food is good - prices are a smidge steep with the portion sizes but main courses are plenty large. I wish my trenette truffle pasta had more vegetables in it, but it was very yummy nonetheless.

Had a date nite, with my girl, enjoyed the food , wine and the dessert. I highly recommend this place.

Awful kitchen, meat requested medium rare and served cooked by dead as a sole of a shoeaccompanied by some huge pieces of undefinable vegetable. We sent the plates back to the kitchen and left this restaurant hurriedly.

We went for Sunday lunch and the restaurant is beautiful. Ali was our server and he was very attentive and friendly. We started with the grilled eggplant which was wonderful. We followed that with the shrimp casserole. We split both and both were delicious! We planned to split the baklava ice cream sandwich but we will wait for next time as the portions are very ample. All in all it was a lovely find and we'll be back.

This place had fabulous food, no doubt. And the overall atmosphere seemed lovely, but sadly we were seated in a tiny corner next to the employee COAT CLOSET! They may have been busy at the front of the restaurant, not sure, but there were at least 20 banquette seats where they could have seated us, but I guess we were punished for not having reservations. In the course of the meal, I was asked to get up not once, but TWICE because a server needed to access the closet. This wouldn't even be acceptable for fast food, much less a $100 per person (before tip) meal. I largely blame management, because clearly the staff wasn't trained. I also witnessed a manager berating a staff member for trying to help a customer find a lost item. Lots of work to do here.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a remarkable Mediterranean restaurant in midtown, and I'm excited to share my experience. The authentic flavors of the dishes took me straight to the sea coast. The service was attentive and friendly, adding a warm touch to the evening. The cozy ambiance made the meal even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone who's looking for an exceptional culinary adventure.

We had dinner at White Olive , we chose the mezzo for our appetiser which was lovely however quite filling. Our main courses were pasta dishes which were also very filling and a little bland. The highlight however was the delicious Greek Sauvignon Blanc

Excellent food .. and mocktails.. it was lunch time , so you could not try their Cokctails. But will return back soon.

This was such a great find! Ambiance: The restaurant was beautiful! So perfectly decorated and such attention to detail. They have beautiful foliage and twinkle lights. The dishware and glassware matches perfectly with the theme of the restaurant. They also have really cute serving ware that enhances the dining experience. Food: Food was so good! The pita bread was perfectly cooked and came out fresh and hot. It had some really nice seasoning on it too. We ordered the 4 mezze deal and all 4 of the mezzes were excellent. It is really hard to pick one favorite so I’d say the two I loved the most were the White Olive Spicy Ezme and the Htipiti. We also got the Tzatziki and the Melitzanosalata and they were also really good. I will say that the White Olive Spicy Ezme is something unique that I haven’t found at any of the other Mediterranean restaurants we’ve been to in the city. We also good the salad and it had so many different fresh vegetables and the dressing was well seasoned. The Halloumi cheese was also a personal favorite. It was seasoned with capers and other veggies and a vinaigrette that added the perfect level of acidity. Service: The service was good, very friendly. It was a bit slow though. Price: The restaurant is on the higher end of prices but I wouldn’t say it’s unreasonable considering the portion sizes.

Staying at the hotel where this restaurant is located and been tired from walking and shopping all day we the will eat in. Forgot that it was Valentines night but the pleasant lady at the front managed to get us a table. Nice atmosphere and good food but a bit pricy.

Great restaurant in the heart of Manhattan! Been there twice already and we‘ll most probably go again as long we‘re here. Best food we had in town with the best octopus I‘ve ever had in my life! Really recommend this place! The waiters (Ali and Sirin) are so friendly, you don‘t really want to leave the place! Thank you very much for the hospitality and the warm welcome!

White Olive is a nice restaurant with high quality food and service. Also a great ambiance and located close to Central Park.

Amazing food, vibe, staff, and location! Highly recommend this place! Small so advise to book ahead

It happened by accident. Mediterranean restaurant with strong Greek but New York influences. Friendly and warm atmosphere, attentive and friendly service. Great meat. Prices in line with NYC

We were very pleased tonight with our dining experience at the White Olive—excellent service and delicious Mediterranean cuisine. A very soothing and cordial ambiance definitely added further to our pleasure with our luscious meals and potent drinks. Very highly recommended for locals and out-of-towners alike!

This is by far the best spot to have dinner with friends family or business. I went last night with my family and was blown away with the quality of the food Service ambience of the restsurant... We had meze ginger shrimp for appetizer and was amazing Dinner we had lavraki lobster pasta and salmon.... Best I ever had, it is a must try!!! And they have private room for bigger parties!! We will be back soon!!

Very disappointing. Food very average. Staff didn’t seem very happy. Not what we were looking for at all. Especially as not a cheap night out. Wouldn’t recommend.

Always try to have a meal when we are in town. Very lovely space with attentive servers. Nadia and Mohammad did a fabulous job. Fig Old Fashioned is one of the best drinks I have ever had. The mezze platter and an entree is plenty of food for two people.

Great ambiance with an outstanding attention to detail service. Tuna Tartar and Chilean Seabass was the highlight of the evening. Must try the fig drink. Will return!.

Outstanding food Berry Mike cocktail is amazing Great ambience , Saniya was our server . She was so attentive & helped make this a memorable event

The restaurant is really nice. The atmosphere is amazing, the staff is super friendly, and the food is good. Not amazing, but good. We tried the hummus (not the best in my opinion), another hummus made with chicken which was really good, the tzatziki, pita bread, zucchini pancakes, and Greek salad. It is perfect to go for a drink and pick some things to share. The place is beautiful!
Excellent Service
Good food, excellent service. Good ambience. Good for children to get more options. Especially the cleanliness. Good for elderly people.
