Is a market where you can find health food. The sandwich are good you can take to coffee or buy other sort of food ash the first floor

I have been a huge fan of WF for more than 2 decades. Before folks on east coast knew what a Whole Foods is. This newest addition to the family has fallen short of the WF standard. The hot bar leaves a great deal to be desired and my calling it hot is being nice it's a lukewarm food bar. The food choices leave you wondering if you are in fact in Whole foods. I'm not quite sure what the problem is isn't there a WF blue print. 90% of the time they don't have what I am looking for but if I go to columbus cirlce, chelsea, or 97 the same day they have the item I am seeking. Also they have forgotten that one of the great things about WF is choice, you know if I don't eat pork I can find turkey bacon or sausage at the breakfast bar. No No here it's pork pork pork turkey pork..... . The team doesn't seem very knowledgeable, or helpful. Oh and did I mention in the morning if you stop in for bkfst there is usually 1 cashier 7 or more people in line. Never the less I am very disappointed. This morning I gave it another try only to find the eggs COLD. i hopped in a cab down to Chelsea hot eggs turkey turkey turkey and pork ...get it they had options. Bryant Park needs to get it together!

On usual trips to NYC I normally settle for something fast and not too healthy. However visiting whole foods changed all of that. It cleverly incorporates a market selling high quality groceries with a food court upstairs. On more than one occasion me and my family indulged in their hot food buffet which consisted of an array of healthy, nutritious and wholesome foods. Next time I'm in New York I will definitely visit Whole Foods again!!

Wide choice and several tables available. This remains one of the best options for a cheap meal in New York.

We had a full kitchen in our hotel and wanted to make some meals/have snacks in the room. I was so grateful to find a Whole Foods not too far away. The two-floor store was well stocked and offered a great selection. The check out lines ran smoothly. We actually shopped there several times. It's a great place to pick up a picnic lunch for across-the-street Bryant Park.

When you're not sure what you want to eat head to Whole Foods. They simply have a tremendous selection of hot and cold food along with incredible bakery items and a ton of salads options. I love the donuts, cookies, pizza, and hot/cold food buffets.

I have been to other Whole Foods Markets before but this one is special, not only because of its size, but because of the huge range of products it carries. You must go upstairs to the area where you can buy take out sushi and many other interesting foods. I carried my sushi over to the wine bar area, bought a nice Chardonnay (pricey at $12) but had a great table with a wonderful view to eat and drink. Highly recommended.

Always a great stop for a take out snack or for a delicatessen meal at home in an airbnb. Fresh food and enormous selection.

2 blocks from Times Square area, close to hotels. Great location, first level has quick pick up, snacks, pastries, coffee. Second floor - great salad bar, custom made sandwiches and food market items. If you have never been to a Whole Foods, definitely stop by. Staying at Hilton 42 nd st.,load up here on basics- water, drinks, microwave options.

I love visiting Whole Foods around the country. This one has a large prepared foods section. I found a small Mochi freezer which was about 1/4 of the one in my home store but with some flavors I had not tried like black sesame.

Staying at the Grand Hyatt Hotel next to the Grand Central Terminal. Wanted to buy food to eat and drink back at the hotel. Whilst visiting Bryant Park we saw this mart across the road and decided to check it out as there was lots of people eating lunch in the park from bags from there. Smart move - it had heaps of variety from hot to cold meals, deli products, fruit & Veges, chips, dips and biscuits as well as bread. Also Alcohol and soft drinks. Toiletries. We made this a regular stop for Breakfast, lunch and dinner supplies. Saved us heaps if we had to eat out all the time.

Really whole foods market is an incredible but true big shopping center.for all purchases of home products, foods, drinks, fruits, vegetables and many more

Honestly, I think Whole Foods needs to check out this location. It does not live up to WF standards. In such a central location in such a big city, I was very disappointed at the variety of foods for lunch. There were no vegan/dairy free pizza options as advertised and the prepared food section is so small! I was able to find one dairy free lunch option and the salmon on it was over cooked. There was maybe one full hot bar and a salad bar. There was also no one around to help answer my questions. The only workers I did see where cashiers (one or two were just playing on their phones). I travel a lot and always try and check out the local WF from East Coast to West and this is by far the worst location I've ever visited.

There are Whole Foods Markets spread all over NYC. They offer vast arrays of foods and are uniformly very high quality but their prices are much higher than average. They do have extensive take-out depts for almost every category of food so it's a good but a bit expensive place for a traveler to buy lunch. There is seating available to eat your meal within each market but chairs/tables are limited.

If you like to look before you eat and enjoy wholesome fresh products. Possibly a group that have varying tastes, then this is your place. You choose the hot or cold (or both) and drinks you enjoy, take them to the till, have it weighed and there's a seating area for you to enjoy your purchase. If you have an apartment nearby or know a picnic place, then that's a perfect place to buy your stuff. My tip of the day, get a picnic and take it to the Top of the rock late afternoon. You can enjoy the daytime views and watch the sunset, picnic in between - bliss.

I know wholefoods in London so I was happy to find a branch not far from the hotel I was staying at. There is no service as such but the food is health and truly very good. I was just perplexed that the salads are sold by weight but there is nowhere to weigh the food before actually buying it. In London there are scales for the customers.

It's a version of a supermarket that unfortunately doesn't exist in Italy, with the possibility of choosing what to eat and eating it on site. There is everything and more, to drink and eat, packaged and fresh. You cannot drink alcohol at the tables. There are some scattered throughout the city and you save a lot.

This Whole Foods is very nice and very large. There are multiple floors with an escalator to bring you to the different floors. They have so many different food options, and areas to shop in. Their hot bar also was very large and the food that was on it looked and smelled really good. The only bad thing about this location is that the bathrooms are pretty gross and they really needed to be cleaned. Also, it’s a maze to get around the store, which was a bit difficult to find your way around.

A business area… That could really use one… For people that are working long hours… Great place to stop by and pick up all sorts of fresh vegetables… Breads… Homemade foods that are actually tasty… meats....fish...Prices on the high side

The food here is great. Make up your own salad and head over to a local park to dine and people watch. Perfect for any meal in the day.

This branch of Whole Foods is opposite Bryant Park. It’s open till late in the evening from early morning. It’s on 2 floors with the salads and take out fork and seating area upstairs. Downstairs is bakery and fruit and snacks and vitamins. Always busy night and day and some great healthy treats to be found in there.

I've been in this area before and I hadn't noticed the Whole Foods. It's really handy for me, especially if I'm staying at a hotel nearby. Nice store, great selection of everything.

I mean it’s whole paycheck. You know what you’re getting and it’s always good. Somewhat packed but it’s across the street from Central Park. Grab a snack and enjoy the park

We spent ten days in Manhattan and we came here often for our lunch or dinner. We took meals to go - we filled take away containers with salads (they have soooo many to choose from) and enjoyed them in Bryant park with an amazing view over Empire State Building. What more yould you wish! This is especially good if you're vegan. Lots of options.

I stopped by here late night after a broadway show with my family for something light. The shrimp summer rolls were not very good. It was a big portion though. The California roll sushi was not very good. The pizza was like it sat there for hours. Very unimpressed. Heard so much about the hot and cold meals here. Won’t be going back.

My family joined us in the city and after seeing the tree the kids were hungry and this was a perfect spot. Everyone got something they wanted and no fighting or hiding under tables! My husband and I had sushi, brother had a burger, kids had something and then we got cookies downstairs. Downside - my rainbow cookies were stale and I didn’t find out until we had walked too far. The seating area for dining is very communal and people don’t share well.

Huge range of delicious food. We stocked up on salmon, bagels and berries for Christmas morning breakfast. Delicious!

This store is huge. There's a lovely pizza bar inside and then there's the usual food section where you can select from a "buffet". This is a great let down and nothing like some Wholefoods I've been into. There's not a great selection and most of the containers lacked food and were empty. Further down in the store was a sign that said Halva Ice Cream and there was no ice cream available because the ice cream machine had broken down. What was on offer was just halva tastings, and halva itself. The guy at this kiosk was friendly and good and very helpful when it came to halva. The seating was pretty crowded and there were people not eating but using the space as an office using the wifi to do their emails. But all in all a great space and very, very busy so they must be doing something right.

I usually go to the Whole Foods at Columbus Circle but having seen this had opened nearer to my hotel decided to try this and was sadly disappointed as many of the vegan options available at Columbus Circle did not appear to be sold here. There were no vegan (or vegetarian options) on sale at the pizza bar and when I asked I got the impression that there aren’t usually, despite this being advertised on their website. The bakery section in the main store does also not have the usual cookie/muffin case with vegan and vegetarian items marked, this is only in the newsagent and so can be easily missed. The newsagent is a good idea in theory but is in fact slower than going through the main store. When I was there there was only one person on the tills who was also making drinks. While the line here is meant to be ‘five items or less’ I watched a customer with over 20 items go up to the till, place all his items on the register while being watched by the cashier before she though to say to him that she couldn’t serve him due to how much he was buying. There are also alcoholic kombuchas mixed in with the normal non-alcoholic drinks with no clear signage, so I was very confused when the cashier tried to card me!

This store was a very short walk from our hotel and was very useful throughout our stay. We were fortunate to have a fridge in the room so we were able to buy milk and fruit but there was anything and everything you could need.

I enjoyed the whole concept of this place and if I lived in NYC I'd be in here everyday. What an extensive range of food, meals, ways to eat....

Whether you want to cook for yourself, pick up a quick bite or whole meal you will find it here. There are tables to stop and eat if you prefer. Loads of hot and cold options all prepared fresh. Don't miss the fresh pastries. Right opposite Bryant Park so couldn't be more central.

Great place with excellent choice of healthy food. If you're more of an outdoor person - Bryant park is just across the street, fabulous place to have your breakfast/lunch.

Its always a surprise that the major US food retailers don't offer the same standard of fresh, high quality food that you typically expect for a good price in the UK et al. Whole Foods is the exception. When I'm on business and can't be bothered with eating out, I head here - for sandwiches, salads, small bites, wine and beer.

We were staying in NYC and just wanted a few basics for our hotel room and we were directed here. It was such a great find. So many foods from so many countries; it was fascinating just to wander around and look. We obviously bought more than we expected too - it was too tempting not to - and everyone was very pleasant and helpful.

Supermarkets in Europe are better and charge a fraction of the price. They probably pay a lot of rent in Manhattan

During our 7 days holiday we went there every day for coffee and lunch. The products you can buy in the supermarket are also very good (organic and bio, eco friendly etc). Big variety of salads and sweets. You can charge your phone in the lunch area. The toilets however, were always very, very, dirty.

Beautiful store in Columbus circle NY Meat, first-rate fish, extraordinary vegetables and fruits We want to bring out arms loaded with groceries!

Nice to have this grocery store in the center of town. They have the same products that I buy at home, beautiful display. Buy prepared foods for lunch in the park.

We came here on our visit to NYC. We have been to multiple Whole Foods stores. This one is AWESOME! Great vibe, layout, selection. We went multiple times during our stay. As good of grocery store as we have ever visited!

Odd layout, perhaps this is the Amazon touch. Food hot and tasty as always. Not biggest selection, but enough to be able to eat there often.

With a view for the Chrysler. Just behind the National library. Many choice of food. Salads, pizza, seafood. Free wifi.

The food was a bit expensive but so amazing we went there twice the view from the window of the red tree on the high line was great,we will definitely visit again when I return

As a loyal WF customer I am always happy to pick up snacks/food at WF when traveling places. Choices are good but Check Out is a HUGE pain. Slow moving line. Check out system simply does not work well as many many people get confused by number system. This can ruin a quick lunch stop.

I was in NYC on business so navigating on my own. It was also my first time in NYC so I had no idea where to find good food. I stumbled across this amazing organic market as it is next to our office building, and I am so glad I did. The market is on 2 floors with coffee and every kind of bakery and some convenience store items on the ground floor then an amazing choice of hot and cold freshly prepared food on the 1st floor. You can make up your own box of delights or there are some pre-packed (but totally fresh) boxes. My preference is to eat vegetarian and the choice was very, very good. The choices are also good if you are Vegan. If you are a meativore then there's a great selection of that too and pizzas and so much more. My selection included 2 types of cauliflower, kale, chick peas, roasted peppers, aubergine (sorry eggplant), roast carrots and a healthy sprinkling of chilli flakes. I took this back to my hotel to have in my room. Every item was delicious and I will be returning. I'm staying in an hotel on Times Square where the food options are pizza, burger, burger, pizza, donut, pizza, burger or eye-wateringly expensive hotel food, so if you need some real food head to Whole Foods Market - it's only a 10 minute walk from Times Square. My only "could do better" comment would be that they needed more servers on the check out. I will be back in NYC again in the Spring (again working) and I will definitely be returning to WFM.

On the 2nd floor of this Whole Foods Market, there are restaurants where you can pick from a wide selection of different foods and sit down to relax. An added plus is that you can sit facing Bryant Park and watch the traffic and people that make NYC a gem while relaxing at the same time. The combination ... fantastic!

While shopping in the area we decided to try the lunch here. The lineups can get a bit long at lunch hour there must have been close to 50 people in line but they seem to have enough cash registers open to keep the line moving. We liked the food options and the quality was pretty good. The price was on average for a Wholefoods. We would eat here again.

This little food oasis is just around from Time Square and was just short walk from our hotel. Whole Food Markets has healthy range of supermarket food and a variety of ready to eat market stalls. There is a sit down area that has a microwave to heat up your food. But the jewel in the crown in my opinion is in the takeaway section downstairs. The best tasting latte coffee I had in my 4 weeks holidaying in the USA.

Shop quite large and very well stocked in everything. several spaces with a payment each time, which is annoying if you have to make several cards . the fruits are fresh, too bad that the cured meats are not varied to the cup. the dishes prepared by weight (watch out for the price per lb i.e. 450g) are relatively expensive but less than a restaurant and almost identical in all shops, including the delicaciessen which however make 30% after 5pm. pizza stand also and areas to eat on site or in Bryant Park in front, if you find chairs... you will find several shops in the big apple.

Super spot for a quick lunch - you can select what you want and eat it upstairs - brilliant for travellers to NY!

I found another Whole Foods for grocery shopping while walking Midtown. It was very convenient for my lunch purchases, which I took home. Quality and service.

Well stocked with fresh fruit and vegitables and cold drinks. Staff very helpful and the air conditioning was a pleasant relief from the 100+ deg temperatures outside.

There is a tremendous selection of healthy foods here! Go upstairs and there is even more of a ready to eat selection. There are tables to sit and enjoy a meal.

Great selection of fresh groceries, the pizza by the slice is delicious, hot buffet has a huge selection - great for quick take out lunch or dinner.

After 5 times in Ny I recommend it to everyone. Usually the first few days you want to taste everything from hamburgers to hot dogs etc. but then you will feel the need to eat something normal!!!!!!!! without spending excessively and without having to pay the famous 15% tip. Every day they prepare various types of salads, soups, chicken, meat etc. etc. even a simple white rice. It is a self service with the cost of food by weight. Once you have chosen the container it is up to you to determine the quantity. Then you can consume the food directly inside as it is served with tables and chairs and everything you need (cutlery, glasses, napkins. Plus, there's always microwaves to warm up.

This one is located in Bryant park. Has a great assortment of foods and mostly fresh and healthy. It's pricey but it comes with the territory. Paying for a great location and sumptuous buffet type meals, great views of the road adjacent with a cafe seating area upstairs as well! You can chose to fill a box with buffet foods hit and old, but you are charged by weight, US$10:99 per pound.

Stopped in to get lunch and it took a while to find the hot/salad bars. They were upstairs. Got lunch and some snacks and then had trouble finding where to check out, but finally found it and enjoyed the lunch in Bryant Park!

This market is fantastic there is literally something for everyone to eat its also reasonably priced the salad bar is amazing... Fruit selection downstairs is also great..

a large choice of pizza and salads to compose yourself, fresh products and reasonable prices. However, come before 6:45 p.m. if you want to have a choice!

Your average overpriced Whole Foods that is super busy with the lunch crowd. Good selection of buffet lunch items and the coffee bar is pretty quick. They do have an actual bar on the second floor which is getting popular with the office. (after hours) This is great for the tourists looking to stock a hotel room with drinks and snacks. Its in my office so close enough to drop in for lunch or a snack

This store is fabulous! So much variety! Fairly cheap too. We spent many times in this store purchasing fruit for our breakfast to take back to our hotel around the corner - so that we didn’t need to spend more than we needed to on eating out. Huge variety - from fruit & vegetables, to bakery, deli, and restaurants up on the 1st floor. They also stock the best Gelato (outside of Venice). Will be back again before we leave New York.

Staying at any hotels Bryant Park/ Times square, we always load up on fruits, cheese, crackers, charcuterie items, oatmeal, snacks, drinks etc. Nice coffee shop on first floor with pastries, grab and go items. Be sure to use your Amazon Prime app for any available discounts.

Great supermarket, right next to Bryant Park at 42nd & 6th. Very impressive that they have 2 floors in such a central location. They also have lots of hot & cold food counters on the 2nd level which are a great option for a quick & reasonably priced lunch. Checkout can be a little slow during lunch rush hour but ample seating and lots of cuisine choices.

If you don't want to start your day in a dark basement in a hotel or restaurant, preferably without windows and daylight, then I recommend the Whole Foods Market opposite Bryant Park. For $4.49 a large natural yogurt, for 80 cents a banana, a few nuts, a bit of muesli and for $4.50 a large cappuccino - the perfect breakfast is ready in the dining area on the first floor with chairs, large windows and a very good view of the hustle and bustle on the street or in Bryant Park.

A great store in the city offering wonderful ingredients as well as delicious prepared food. Fresh produce, ethnic foods, high quality meals and items from all over the world (unbelievable cheese selection, for example). Two floors of many many options.

I remember this was my location for obtaining office supplies and now it is all about a healthier eating experience. Shoppers here are a plenty and in a hurry as though they are commuters, at least when I shop there around 5:00 pm. The checkout lines can be long at times so if you can avoid rush hours then it should be a relaxing shopping experience.

A lot of good deals, especially if you have a prime account. Good produce selection--reasonably price.

A busy food mall with not as many selections as the one at Columbus Circle.Uninspiring, bland, cauliflower soup.

This place is excellent for different reasons. First of all, it is a very nice supermarket with a lot of healthy stuff in it. Second, it has a wonderful food court to eat there with tons of options. And third, it is also perfect to buy groceries, cross the street and have a picnic in the most beautiful park in the city. I absolutely recommend it for that. Also, for internacional people, they have free wifi. Fantastic spot!

We stayed at Luma which is a hotel close to wholefoods and purchased a lot of our essentials during our stay from whole foods, snacks, drinks and even had a meal in the Harbor Restaurant upstairs. It has a vast range of grocery items and hot food upstairs and a takeaway area and flowers downstairs. My tip if purchasing from the cafe area (takeaway) downstairs don't get stuck in that area if you are not purchasing coffee go to another register past the flower section which has numerous check outs to get you on your way again.

We were in the City for the weekend and ate at many restaurants. If was getting late and we were heading to Rockefeller Center to skate and we stopped in to Whole Foods. It was perfect, we grabbed berries to walk and eat on the way. It was way better than grabbing street food. The girls ate their entire portions and were happy as could be. They are excited for the Whole Foods coming to Lancaster Pa!

This is one of the best markets in NY. Besides shopping for groceries here (and they have so many things like pastry products, fruits, diary products, pastas etc.), there is also awesome food at the cafeteria upstairs. Locals come here on work lunch break to get food. The price is good (about 10$/lb) and you can pick any kind of food and add it to a cardboard box. Pay the weight you get. And there are at least 20 cooked types of food (chicken, pork, vegetables, mac&cheese, soups, salads, beef and a lot more). Also there is a window seating area if you want to eat there and it has a lovely view of Bryant Park.

Large store for eat in, or take out - great salad bar and hot food buffet bar for take out. Healthy groceries, butcher shop, dairy case and plant stand.

I simply go almost there every day when I am visiting New York city. You would have variety of options, beside there food and salad bar, which is too huge. They serve only healthy food and provides you with the option to have you meal there. During lunch, the place tends to be too busy and you may struggle to find a seat. Nevertheless, have you meal there. You could also buy groceries for there. Prices tends to be above average, mainly due to the quality of the products they sell. I find it reasonable. Try their Salmon, my favorite. I strongly recommend this place.

Great place for getting organic food right next to Bryant Park. We had lunch there too, great variety of vegetarian choices

This Whole Foods is in a wonderful location, adjacent to Bryant Park! The store has two levels with escalators in the front. There is also an elevator in the left section of the store. The first floor has a beautiful selection of fresh produce, including other items. The second floor has a large variety of foods as well as a lovely eating area with large windows overlooking the park. The store offers a nice selection of main-stream and unique foods. The store has a blend of small grocery-market charm with a modern design. This Whole Foods is a perfect place to grab a meal, and enjoy the beautiful view!

We entered for breakfast and used the computers to order coffee, selected our breakfast items and then went to the register and there was confusion over 2 coffee orders - one on computer and one at register...Then we were directed to a seating area to eat - but evidently there is another area where we could have gone and had a real breakfast at tables.... Would be an interesting place to explore further but not well labeled. And conflicting directions from staff...

We were staying at a Hilton Garden Inn around the corner and went in to gram a breakfast sandwich. Excellent choice!

Surprisingly terrible experience in this store. Would give it Zero stars if this were an option. Mid evening, we went to the Baked Goods area to find a homeless person bent over the self serve unit, munching on baked items. She lingered in that area munching on a few things for quite awhile despite there being security. We found a few packaged items but the line ups were horrendous. Tried to go to cash in quieter area only to be redirected to big line ups. No thanks. Not the caliber we've come to expect of Whole Foods.

Most have visited a WF before, but this location is unique. It's a two story store, where the first floor is a convenient store if just prepackaged meals, food, and drinks. The second floor holds the main shopping experience. However, there a few hotbars. I think the pizza hotbars is awesome.

Went here to grab some berries cheese and crackers our second night in NYC we needed a break from the huge portions and just wanted something light. I was able to find a mixed fruit salad and my daughter a chicken ceaser salad, we also managed to find that cheese in the red rind that you peel off....no idea what the name of it is. I found the place to line up confusing.... first found out we were in a coffee line then moved to what appeared to be a huge line that was for all the cashier's. I found the prices to be on the inflated side. Because it was such a nice evening we took our purchase across the street to Bryant Park and enjoyed our wares there.

Stopped in to get some food to take to the hotel room. They have fresh hand made sushi, pies, and crab salad that is amazing. Everything was fresh!!

Beautiful, clean large Whole Foods in Manhattan. HIghly reccomend to pick up groceries or pre-made items.

a lot of organic foods, nice selection of cold and hot foods. quick services. many check out counters. Nice place to go to quickly grab a few food items. clean and organized. will recommend it.

I went there with a couple of colleagues for a lunch break. Upstairs, at the fish counter, I asked one of the saleswomen if there were something gluten free, specifying I am allergic to gluten. She simply told me “Here it’s all gluten free!”, while pointing at the food that was displayed in the counter. So happy to find such a great selection of gluten free food, I ordered a crab cake. After a few bites I felt immediately that something was wrong and Iooking at the label of my package I read there were BREAD CRUMBS inside it. Me and my colleagues immediately went back to the counter and know what? The lady that told me everything was gluten free denied I‘ve ever said I was allergic! But this is not the end: we call the manager of the store and after just apologizing, he gave me a ten dollar refund and asked me to give him my telephone number for him to be sure I would have been fine the day after. Of course, one year later I am still waiting for his call... Food allergies are something you can’t play with, so don’t go if you don’t want to put your own life at risk.

If you are luck enough to be able to afford to shop here, I imagine it is 5 stars but for many this is overpriced with just ok service. I tried food from the hot and cold buffets and the hot food was a bit dried out - I had to select from what was available as many of the trays were depleted and the poor workers were scrambling but the food was grabbed by hungry hordes as soon as they replaced it. I found this experience frustrating and unsure how they can fix this but I stopped coming.

After an 8 hrs flight from the UK and 3 hours of walking in the NYC for sightseeing- we saw this place to take refuge in. It was raining and we were hungry and this was the closest place we could pop into to have some food. The cafe is very disorganised and haphazardly. There are no clear instructions about how one should go about ordering food here. We got whatever we could and purchased beer bottles to have with food. But nobody there appear to carry any opener and surprisingly you are not allowed to consume alcohol in the seating area of the cafe. I find it highly senseless. The food we had from the salad bar was mostly the left over type and lacked freshness.

This is superb if you are on a self catering holiday in NYC. The ready made foods may be eaten in a seated area overlooking Bryant Park and there is an adjacent bar area. We loved the selection of gluten free products and the quality of the foods, both prepared and raw. The fruit and vegetable bar was superb. The only grip was that I had to go up and down the three floors to find stuff and it took me some time to get used to the layout. I suppose they want to drag you past some of the less sexy areas! I like the way they manage their queues. A favourite of ours now.

My husband and I decided to eat here mid-afternoon. There is a large selection of salads and cooked food, ready to eat. Everything tasted good, but the hot food wasn't hot, which was disappointing because it was freezing outside! There is cafeteria seating, so be prepared to share a table.

This location of Whole Foods not only caters to the local community but also to travellers. With an extensive hot and cold buffet section, travellers can choose what they want and head back to their hotels. Whole Foods never disappoints and this location exceeds expectations!

Whole Foods has become one of my favorite places to get delicious, healthy food while traveling. One can eat in or carry out, which we did at this location due to the crowds. But then it was a Saturday night. Where else in NYC can one feast on a salmon dinner with two sides for $15? The salad bar had an amazing array of tempting foods as well, but we splurged on chocolate bars instead. Our reward for walking back to the hotel instead of taking the subway :-)

Fab tasty choice to choose from for lunch. Order hot, cold, meat, veggie or cake or snack. Delicious and plentiful. So hand for Bryant Park.

Very large supermarket where you can find everything to eat: large cold, hot , savoury , sweet buffets . You can cook your own little dish... by weight! Be careful though , the weight is calculated in pounds ( 453 grs ) so it can rise very quickly!! and the rating too! because a tourist who crapahute is hungry!!! Everything is fresh and good. You can also find pizza slices (about $5) , hot drinks , cold drinks etc... This is also where you can find 1.5 l still water at just under $2 because the moon bottle of water is expensive in NY. There are also very nice and good fruits. This is a pretty convenient place to shop when you have a diet. And you will find a very large selection of other things. Possibility of dining on site. A small preference for the one behind Hudson Yards ( between 9th and 10th BC, 31st ) because there are terraced tables and it also overlooks a pleasant square, also with tables. Nice in the evening because there are less people. But you can find them all over Manhattan: Columbus circle , U nion Square , Broadway near the new Le Printemps store.... for example .

They have a lot of variety of food, bakery goods and beverage. It's very busy with New Yorkers doing their grocery shopping. In New York City, they do not buy groceries on a weekly basis because of the number of bags they carry. It's very pedestrian and they just get what they need for maybe 3-4 days since this store is open over a long period of time.

Went in to check it out ,I was impressed,it was clean and easy enough to get around, the prices were higher than where I live in northern New Hampshire, but it's NYC so it is to be expected. The produce looked fresh, which isn't always the case where I shop,Walmart and SaveALot,that's what we have here, anyway I liked it and would shop there if I lived there.

Staying at Hilton Garden Inn 42 st, this is around the corner, great for basics, snacks, beers, fruits, pastries, soups, salad bar etc. Coffee shop with quick to go pastries, bagels perfect. Upstairs food court, more grocery items. Good option to stop if visiting Times square area, just a few blocks away. Many locals buying fresh meats, grocery, produce. Located across from Bryant Park.

The location is great. Lots of variety of food. The food bar is fine, but honestly I have seen other better Whole Food versions. There is quick service just on the right side of the entrance that is really handy.

I was priveledged to visit this supermarket group during my stay in Manhattan and Williamsburg. I was literally like a kid in a candy store. On my first visit I visited every department and was taken back by the varity of items on sale. I personally enjoyed the selection of breakfast muffins and yogurts. I was spoilt for choice. The layout and cleanliness of the store was 5 star. I definitely highly recommend the store to anyone. In addition it had such a festive atmosphere with the Christmas trees lined up for sale on the pavement.

In a city of fast food or very high quality foods Whole Foods offers healthy options for breakfast and lunch, a respite from eating out. There are different Whole Foods locations in Manhatten including Columbus Circle and Union Square.

Lots of food for all tastes. You can buy vegetables and salads by weight, but also pasta, fries and much more. Nothing incredible, but there is so much choice. It is possible to eat overlooking Bryant Park

This location is always busy, but is worth it. Two floors of fresh deliciousness. Be sure to try some Mochi out of their self-serve freezer

We stayed just a block from here and on our first night in town, with it raining etc., we really didn't feel like going out to dinner. So we found Whole Food and bought a few things besides the Sushi (which was great). The store is way different than I'm used two because it has two floors. Lot's of staff help though and to me the place felt very upscale.

This place is not really a restaurant as it is a supermarket with a diner service (seating); it was recommended to us by our Italian travel agency because it offers different types of food all at the same price. It can be found from the first courses, to the second courses, to the side dishes, at 13.99 euros per pound (less than half a kg). After all, during a long stay in New York, it sometimes allows you to avoid the expensive restaurants in Manhattan and eat while sitting at an affordable price.

I was quite surprised to find the variety of food available and the ease of ordering it. There are kiosks to customize your order and plenty of seating available although not private, more like cafeteria style. There are regular restaurants and bars to sit more privately. The food I had was very good and easy on the pocketbook!

I was taking a bus to NJ from the Port Authority on 8th Avenue and needed to get a bite to eat before my trip. I didn't want to eat fast food, so I strolled along 42nd Street eastward looking for a nice restaurant that would not take too long. When I came to Bryant Park, there was some sort of holiday fair going on in the park, with lots of kiosks and small shops set up. Then, to my surprise, I saw a Whole Foods right across Ave. of the Americas from the park. It occupies the bottom two floors of a skyscraper. I had been to the Whole Foods on Columbus Circle and the one near Tribeca, but had not heard of this location. Being in the heart of midtown, this Whole Food reflects its location, it is a high-tech, souped-up grocery store. Lots of food choices, most of it laid out in bright, colorful displays. There is an Amazon returns section all set up. There are several sets of recycling bins. And, you can order a custom-made sandwich for lunch, but you have to do it on a computer, you can’t simply ask the lunch counter lady for a falafel sandwich with hummus. If you need to go to the bathroom, you need a computer-generated access code on you receipt to type into the bathroom stall lock (I took my receipt with me to the bathroom only to find a long line of people waiting to use the facilities most of whom, apparently, did not have receipts). I ordered the stuffed pita with falafel and salads. I also picked up some salads from the salad bar. The food was delicious. I wanted to eat my lunch order overlooking all the hubbub in Bryant Park, but those seats were taken.

We flew in from Melbourne and needed good food and good coffee. This was perfect, we each picked out what we wanted to eat ordered takeaway coffees and then sat in Bryant park and relaxed after our 20 hours flying - perfect!

I travel to NYC and stay in midtown several times a month. I get so tired of going out to eat and loved being able to go into Whole Foods and get some of the prepackaged food for dinner and the next day for breakfast and lunch. So much cheaper than eating out all the time too. They have everything you might want. Packaged regular groceries, extensive buffet, grab and go items, and any drink you want. There are also restaurants upstairs and lots of seating. Just love that this market is here!

A place with a huge choice of food and good prices. It's a great quick meal alternative if you want to avoid eating at a fast food chain. Central location and plenty of seating.

We enjoyed a buffet meal from a wide selection. You select what you want and it is then weighed as you pay $10.99 a pound! So choose wisely!

Very bad customer service at the store at 226 E 57 ST New york I came for return a cheese that had a mold asked for exchange with the receipt I was told that the price just went up and I have to pay the difference Unbelievable

We come to NYC at least once a year and always stop by here. Great quality, great range. It's not cheap but if you want to avoid eating out and the extra 20% for tips - stock up here. Quick note, if you go upstairs there's an enormous food bar selection so you can self serve both hot and cold foods. You can also get a Mochi ice-cream!

This was the only place in New York to find abundance of healthy food items -vegetables,fruit,grains.The upstairs salad bar has such a variety-even me(picky wholefood plant based eater) found 2 pounds of delicious food to last me all day next day flying home. Grateful for that.

This whole foods is relatively new in the area, so that is always exciting! The only thing is that its modeled somewhat differently and products are not in the same places as other locations. I was looking for up mountain switchel products and they did not have them and the staff was not familiar with them, although other whole foods always have them in stock. The person that helped tried to find them was not that great. He first took us to return something he was already working on and used the elevator instead of the escalators which was a bit uncomfortable. He then said that the item I was looking for "sounded like a cure for a hangover". What in heavens name? How unprofessional! I mean I appreciate that he looked everywhere for the products but what is this commentary about? The two young Black people working at the catering desk understood better the product I was looking for and it's help with immunity. They even had recommendations, which was nice. So mixed feelings here!

The Whole Foods offers so many ready to eat food items such as pizza, hot food bars, pasta, sandwiches, rice bowls... I the second level has a big dinning area with nice atmosphere. The hot food items are fresh. The bakery section has many choices such as bread, cakes...The staff are friendly. I would come back to this Whole Foods again.

Nothing has yet compared to the variety, price point, convenience, cleanliness, great staff and more offered by pretty much every Whole Foods Property we've ever been too, and this one was no exception. It was a great spot to get lunch before we got the train at Grand Central, and while there's plenty of great seating, (with live music on the day we were there,) with seats overlooking the street and the wonderful Bryant Park, one could also just go across the street to enjoy the food in the park itself, which also has plenty of seating. In addition to the many different salads and foods and the food bars, there is an abundance of wonderful baked goods, which I've sampled over time, and would love to continue doing! Check out was a breeze, and staff couldn't be more helpful.

Whole Foods Market is a great place to grab a quick lunch if you are in midtown Manhattan. As most of the stores in NYC, there is a great salad and hot bar (although I think the ones on 14th St. and Columbus Circle beat this one). Even so, it's nice to know it's there when you need something healthy quickly.

Whole Foods at Bryant Park is huge. The check-out line therefore is also long. Luckily there is a separate faster service available on the north side of the store for customers purchasing just a few items. For out-of-towners like us with tired feet and on a budget but health conscience, we were very happy to see WF to be part of the Bryant Park scene... together with the (free) skating rink and the magnificient Public Library.

This Whole Foods, location and content, is excellent!! I work down the street, and, the selection, service, and, atmosphere, is always terrific! I love the convenience of the cafe, and, the floral department! FYI, in the floral department, if Steven is available, he always is right on top of presentation, with wrapping and raffia! No extra charge!!!!

Whole foods is a great supermarket and also has a large food court, including a delicious buffet with lots of options. You can have lunch with a very nice view of Bryant Park.

This is part of a large chain of super markets, a place to buy food. There are some simple places to sit and eat what you bought.

We found this store whilst looking for coffee & toilets after a bus tour of the city!! Wow, what a find - we ended up getting great coffee & some great pizza & taking them into Bryant Park to have lunch in the sun. This store was the first While Food Market we’d ever been in (we’re from the U.K.) & we ended up looking for others in other cities - such a great store & great selection of fresh food. This one is in a great location too.

Such a nice place to go to grab a quick and delicious meal or to buy special great quality ingredients to cook home or bring food to your hotel room. Feels like an amusement park to adults who like cooking or who are food lovers.
your usual whole foods
by North American standards this is a very expensive place to shop but good to pick up a quick snack when in this area of Bryant Park
