Electric vibe, great service, fun people watching and top cuisine. Delicious fresh varied menu. Wow mint sauce on filet salad. Authentic nice servers. Great hostess. Packed beyond belief And the energy is fun fun fun. Love this place.

We took our kids to Wolf and Lamb to celebrate Father's Day. We had a reservation. we were seated immediately. Service was very pleasant. Rolls were brought with olive oil. My husband and daughter ordered the lamb burger. My husband had mushrooms on the side, my daughter ordered aside of grilled veggies. Our son had a BBQ brisket on a bun. It was DELISH! It was somewhat spicy but he loves spice so it was fine. He ordered fries on the side. The fries were unbelievable! I ordered the salmon burger with the grilled veggies. Again, perfect. The ambience was cozy, with a lot of exposed brick. We were too full to order dessert. We will definitely be back!

I had a lovely meal last night at Wolf & Lamb. We mostly had burgers and they were enjoyed - but not outstanding. My son had chicken tenders and he loved them! My daughter had a chicken sandwich and found it nicely flavorful. The onion rings she ordered were a disappointment- undercooked and the batter lacked flavor. Espresso at the end of the meal was perfect. The menu has a wide range of prices from moderate to expensive. It doesn’t have to be a very expensive meal, but it won’t be inexpensive. I’d say the cost is on-par or slightly high for the level, quality and sophistication of the restaurant. We sat upstairs which was cool (temp) and quiet. Best of all, the service was excellent. The staff is very well trained and was very responsive to all our requests.

Have eaten at Wolf & Lamb three times now. Love the place, the atmosphere, the food and the classy waiters. Steaks are terrific and done to your taste to perfection. Has never been packed when I've been there, so have never felt rushed. Highly recommend this place.

This is a small, quaint restaurant that offers wines from Israel and delicious Jewish oriented menu items as well as staples like steak etc.. Reservations were required over this past holiday week as the city was mobbed for the pre-New Year's Day celebration. The service staff were attentive and very pleasant. The desserts were very pleasing to the eye !

We dropped in on a Sunday night and were promptly seated and served. Menu contains many options and sharing is not discouraged. Good central location

I came here for dinner with two friends on a Monday night. And the ambience is very nice, however the tables are a bit crowded so I consider myself lucky that I came on a Monday night, I can imagine it being a bit more crowded on other nights of the week. The menu had a lot of excellent offerings, I had the lamb sliders and the hanger steak. The sauces that came along with the food were great, the sliders were delicious, but the steak was a bit too salty. Hanger steaks are generally salty, but this one I thought was a bit too salty. The prices are pretty high, and at that price point I feel like the restaurant should put a little more effort into creative presentation of the food. But this is the way most kosher steakhouses in Manhattan are.

We found this restaurant online to have our wedding meal, they were very good with the booking and correspondence back and forth from us to the uk. The restaurant was lovely and all of our guests enjoyed their food. The service and waiting staff were also very good I would highly reccomend this restaurant

Ordering well is an art form. For years, my son has raved about the grass fed beef burgers here. Wanting something that sounded more "special", I always ordered the pulled BBQ brisket sandwich or the gourmet ground ribeye burger. Last week I finally heeded his advice and had a regular burger in his honor. To make it a true celebration, I even threw in a topping of pastrami. WOW!!!! Nothing more to say than.... WOW!!!! Scrumptious and deletable -- I licked my plate clean! Been dreaming of a repeat performance for several days now. Planning my next trip in two weeks to accommodate a special trip to this kosher haven. A little pricey? Of course -- but you are eating kosher food in Manhattan. Nothing too surprising. But delicious beyond words? You betcha. Go!

The food was great with generous portions. The service was spot on with attentive waiters. Slightly expensive for New York, especially the wine, but well worth the visit and will return.

A good place to eat a perfect burger with a nice wine! I've enjoyed the burger with spicy fries! Unique.

When I need my Deli fix...I come here. The pastrami melts on your lips. Yes, pastrami on rye with a glass of wine.

A lovely Steak restaurant serving amazing food. Service was good, and helpful. Didn't push you to the most expensive food or wine which is always a good sign. Will certainly return

We ate here twice. Once it took a long time, and once it took forever. And it was difficult to communicate with the staff, as almost all had poor English. The food was good, but nothing special. For the price, I would expect better all round.

We ate here between Christmas and New Year. We really enjoyed our meal here. We didn't have reservations and we were found a table almost immediately. The service was nice and the waiter was very knowledgeable about the different types of steak. We only had one course but it was delicious. The restaurant was pretty busy and the atmosphere was lively. We would definitely go back next time we visit NY. Nice central location. My husband recommends the malt beer!

This was my third visit to Wolf and Lamb and I made the third visit because of the first two that featured uniquely tender steaks. Tonite, sadly, the sweet potato fries and green beans greatly outshone the main course. The filet was tough and could never be associated with the term "tender". A lot of dough for a filet that would have easily been surpassed by any number of cuts from a supermarket meat case.

Does not worth it. Food came cold, not everything at the same time. Not that good, for the price Not recommended

We reserved a table. The food was not good. The burgers were underdone even though we asked for medium. The steak was dry. The place is very, very noisy. The service was good.

Was here with a group of 11. I had lemon and herb chicken and French fries, wife had salmon, both very good. Our host had a burger and asked for medium but it came fairly raw. Several members had steak, and all enjoyed that. The lamb chops looked awesome. On the whole, a good meal and nice ambiance but I found it a little overpriced.

had a great time for the umpteenth time. LOVE THE burgers and steaks!!!

While visiting Manhattan my nephew who is orthodox suggested that we meet for lunch at the Wolf & Lamb which is a kosher restaurant. We agreed. When I reviewed the menu I was taken aback by the prices, deciding that we were being assigned a surcharge to account for the 'special' preparation. Then I tasted the food. All, I can say is "Wow!" I had the veal burger prepared with a fried egg on top along with the fluffiest, tastiest mashed potatoes I'd ever experienced. My wife had the matzo ball soup and she quickly rated it the best chicken soup she's ever had. Needless to say we were extremely pleased with the venue and I had no problem with the cost. Although it is a bit of a niche establishment, exceptional cuisine is exceptional cuisine and I would recommend the place to anyone without reservation.

This is the one kosher restaurant I frequent when I can. The atmosphere is stuffy but the grilled Romanian pastrami is awesome! Fried pickles and sweet potato fries are also a great start. Salmon and tuna are also excellent. A little expensive for a "deli" but worth trying if you've never been.

Went with friends for lunch. Place was busy but not noisy. Order taken quickly, service was average speed but well worth the wait. Had grilled vegetables as a side order (had enough fries already) and was a perfect combination. Have the extra pastrami on the burger, was perfect

Nice place, with very good service. The dishes we ordered were served correctly. The restaurant has a wine list well suited to the dishes served.

If you are in mid-town Manhattan and want a good kosher meal before or after a theater date or a business meeting, this is the place. Wolf and Lamb’s quality food and atmosphere easily surpass those of other mid-town kosher eateries, including Le Marais, the ex-champ of kosher steakhouses. My wife and I went with the hanger steak and butcher cut, and we were delighted. There are also plenty of fish dishes, including tuna steak, bass, lots of veggies, and course the required French fries and onion rings The best time is for lunch or for early dinner at 5 or 5:30 PM. The location is just off Fifth Avenue on 48th Street, requiring a two-block walk to the Theater district, but it’s also right next to Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall and of course the 47th street diamond center. The steaks here are gems, too, but they are also pricey. But every once in a while it’s worth splurging. Dessert and service were also terrific. Highly recommended.

very good food but prices keep rising . we where 3 and spent 200.00 on 3 hamburguers and one glass of wine extra French fries were 12.00. big rip off

This place was great...my only regret is that I don't live closer (I'm located in the Midwest) or I would be there more often! The food was really fresh and amazing...everything we tried was great, and then we ended with these sumptuous desserts. We also really enjoyed the live music and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Excellent food and service, everyone was happy and we will definitely be back. I had the lamb burger, we had the tacos and the gnocchi, and the chicken sandwich. All awesome! R. Tamir

My go to restaurant after a long day in the City .Guarranteed to be seated and get a delicious mouthwatering meal .Decor is super casual the prices are grossly exaggerated beyond expensive but I guess once in a while .

At the time that I went here, I had no clue what exactly Kosher steaks meant. And despite this, I loved it. And now knowing how Kosher steaks are prepared, of all the Kosher steaks I have eaten, I still love it, but only here and nowhere else. FYI, you will leave here smelling of char and barbecue.

Service was excellent which matched the quality of the food. Even the drinking water provided was cold and fresh and topped up continuously. Our table was too near the open kitchen and serving area and paper tablecloths used to cover the linen seems somewhat downmarket. In any event would recommend to others

Alcohol license rescinded (something they did not tell us when making the reservation or coming in from an hour away), did not have the steak I wanted, did not have the dessert I wanted, and while we were the only people remaining in the restaurant, waiter did not return us our change and instead sat with his friends for 20 minutes before we finally got up and complained. Never again.

Just went back with family, another heavenly (hamburger) experience. More than 24 hours later digestive system still jumping for joy. Four stars instead of five only because lamb burger option unavailable for second time in a row. Enjoy!

Went there with my girlfriend after reading a good review on time out new York and i was not disappointed! The burger was probably the best I've ever had and the steak was cooked to perfection, deff a place to not miss out on if your in new York

Last night in NYC and happen walk by this restaurant and took a chance. Glad we did - lovely dining experience. Great service, food and nice wine & cocktail selection. Fried pickles, turkey burger with cabbage and fennel, gnocchi was incredible. Apple pie/cobbler and coffee for desert was perfect.

A lunchtime visit to this rather busy and noisy kosher steakhouse made me hesitate whether to go in or just walk past on to Rockefeller Center. I took the chance and sat down for a lamb burger. It was delicious! Well worth a visit.

We had a team lunch here today and the food was ok but definitely overpriced. I had the salmon burger and it was mostly breading, which for $26 was disappointing. The waitress actually asked me how I wanted it (medium rare) but considering how little salmon was in the burger it could have been totally raw or burnt to a crisp and I couldn't have told the difference. The sweet potato fries on the side were soggy and underwhelming. My other colleagues were equally non-thrilled by their food, although the fried pickles were pretty good. The bill for 6 of us was $250, pretty steep for a lunch with no drinks ordered. If I go there again I'll order a steak, my advice would be to stick with the basics. Overall not a great experience.

The food was absolutely delicious and i am a very picky eater. get the chicken covered with special sauce appetizer it was awesome. the services was a teany bit slow though, maybe because they were training somebody while we were there, but def recommend this place.

This restaurant was recommended to us by some friends who visited NYC a couple of years ago. OK, so the food is a little pricey but it is NY after all. Mains ranged from $30-$42 and desserts were $9-12. However, the food, service and atmosphere were fabulous. If you can do book as this place was full by 7pm!

Our waiter was knowledgeable and recommended lovely dishes. The meat portions were on the slightly smaller side, but delicious nonetheless.

I was on a business trip to attend a conference. One of my colleagues is limited to a Kosher diet so he selected the restaurant. The ambiance was perfect. A quaint setting off of away from the busy street. The lighting and decor were appropriate, and the staff was responsive and helpful. What made this place worth the five stars was the delicious food. EVERYTHING that we had, starting with the bread was tasty. I had the Salmon. I eat Salmon a lot, but THIS Salmon dish left me licking my lips and waiting for the opportunity to come back just to order it again. I also had the most incredible onion rings as a side dish. I topped all of this off with a hot pecan pie with vanilla ice cream. This place IS "all that." I will be sure to eat here against b next time I am in NYC!!

We were staying in Times Square so wanted to find somewhere to eat that wasn't a TGI's or Hard Rock cafe, stumbled upon this restaurant by chance late last Sunday evening, it was packed and had a lovely atmosphere really welcoming and personal. Would recommend and when we hopefully get back to see New York again would like to return.

After reading some reviews berfore coming to NYC and going to a kosher restaurant, we wondered if Wolf and Lamb was the best place to choose. Wisely and happily we made the decision to try it. A wonderful experience that started with a very helpful and cheerful greeter--sorry we did not ask her name--who sat us quickly even though we did not have a reservation. This is Sunday night and we just returned to our hotel from enjoying our dinner. Our waiter Jimmy wasfriendly, clear in answering our wuestions, spot on with his recommendations, and efficient in timing our dinner. Is it expensive? Yes. This is great quality kosher food and in NY. Here is what we did. We ordered Veal Sliders ($!8) that were superbly delicious, the soup du jour (black bean) ($10), and the special which was filet mignon with potatoes and pearl onions ($45)--and split everything between us. The restaurant was fine with that, it gave us a chance to taste different offerings, and still (relatively) keep the total bill under control. The restaurant had a nice mix of people, but weighted more heavily on the younger set. Don't hestitate. This was a good place.

We were in NYC for our 30th anniversary and made reservations for a special dinner here. Since I keep kosher I wanted to eat at a special occasion restaurant and this one fit the bill. Both my hubby and I had the Filet Mignon ... I had mashed potatoes and he had onion rings. The steaks were cooked to order and the sides were delicious. If we come here again, I would get the ribeye, which is a juicier cut of steak. Still the flavors were great. The service was not spectacular. But all in all, it was a good experience!

Wandered into this place while in New York. Service was ok, but this was the worst meal I had in NYC. Blech! Bland, tasteless food.

Eight of us, including three children 11 and under, went for an early dinner after theater. It was burger time—so among us we polished off everything from rib-eye beef burgers, lamb burgers, chicken tenders, to quite an astonishing steak and wild mushroom Rueben sandwich. The quality of the meat was outstanding—but burgers that were ordered in the range of medium rare to medium well all came out the same depressingly gray color. The grilled hanger steak in the sandwich, ordered rare, came out a more pleasing pink—that sandwich was the star of the show followed by the lamb burger. A side of salad and one of spinach were fine. The sides of sweet potato fries and spicy fries were pretty limp as were most of the "crispy Fried Shallots." An accompanying remoulade dipping sauce was tasty. And then dessert—when the service melted to nothing. We could see one waiter hanging out in the back of the restaurant. Another was spending an inordinate amount of time taking an order from a table of two, but when finished, he walked right by us without looking up despite our attempts to get his attention. After our trying without success to flag down a waiter, the hostess finally brought us some menus and obligingly took the orders. The molten chocolate cake, a non-dairy preparation, was excellent, as was an apple tart. Despite the issues detailed, this place is a huge step up from any of the other kosher restaurants in the area and even a big step up from many of the non-kosher ones.

Over the years we have been to this restaurant. They have remodeled recently and have an upstairs seating area. Food is good but I think a bit pricey for what you get.

My husband and I like to do alot of Restaurant hopping!! and we've heard about this place called wolf and lamb!! so we decided to give it a try. The restaurant felt inviting, and All of the employees were really great and the food was Really Tastey!! I give this place a two thumbs up!! and btw Ask for the Rubin Spring Roll!!!

My wife and I are in NYC for a few days just for fun. As we keep Kosher, we look forward to the broad selection of restaurants in the City. We went tonight to Wolf and Lamb, a Kosher steakhouse I’d heard of pre-Covid. It seems to get good reviews and has a great name. Other than that, I can say nothing good about it. The service was totally disinterested, and the food was totally average. I ordered my steak medium-rare, it was medium; my wife ordered her lamb chops rare, they were medium. We sent hers back; I gave in and ate my 20 oz bone-in Ribeye, which was fatty without much meat. Not even a “sorry” (or sign of life for that matter) from the waitress for the meat having to go back. The french fries and mashed potatoes were also average. $300 for a totally bland meal and disinterested service. I don’t know if this restaurant is not what it was pre-Covid (which I’m noticing in a few places in NYC I knew from before) or it’s been living on past reputation. Whatever the case, stay away. There has to be better in NYC.

Such a convenient midtown location for a kosher lunch. The sliders were amazing and I also really enjoyed the duck. Service was slightly slow for a lunchtime visit but when I asked them to speed up they were very quick to react and bring my food. Not a cheap place but no kosher meal in midtown is cheap!

We went tonight had the fried pickles as an appetizer omg so good! I had salmon and asparagus cooked perfectly! My husband had steak ribeye he loved it! A bit pricey but everything in nyc is! The hot bread came out with almost like a pesto sauce! Perfectly made! Only issue is it doesn't open till 8pm.

Delicious food..quick service..generous portion..had a delightful time!! quiet nice ambience..quick attentive staff

Wolf and Lamb is a great kosher meat restaurant in Manhattan. We each had the pulled beef and it was delicious. Filling and tasty, with quality home fries on the side. Good service, very nice chic decor. Moderately expensive, but not compared to a kosher NYC meat restaurant. Would definitely come again.

I find the décor in the Brooklyn Restaurant a little stark, yet people like that dark bistro look. The food IS delicious, the portions not large. The wait is average to a little longer than average depending on how busy they are. I would suggest their steaks, their burgers, their chicken dishes. Dishes are a little pricey but not disappointing in taste.

I arrived in NYC on Thanks Giving and having settled into our hotel decided to have a stroll and find somewhere to eat.. My friend suggested we try this restaurant and I'm so glad we did.. It had a fantastic atmosphere, full of families and the food was so beautiful .. The only downside was my being so incredibly jet lagged and exhausted that I almost ate and feel asleep!! Next time I will be sure to stay longer... and thank you to the staff for being so kind and understanding..

Great kosher meaty restaurant. Very trendy decor and cool buzz. Friendly wait staff. We got the tacos, the w&l burger and the veal burger with home fries and onion rings. All absolutely delicious and whilst not cheap, it wasn't outrageous for NYC. We waddled out. Always the sign of a good meal. Will definitely return on future visits to New York.

Went there twice. First time, good service great food. Took a little while to get the meals but not horrible. Second time, the customer service was horrible, we waited 30 mins for the burger, asked the waiter (looked like Harry Potter) if the burger was ready. He replied “ if it were ready it would of been here” in the rudest way possible. Other than that the food was great. Such a great restaurant but poor service.

One of the challenges with kosher restaurants in Midtown is that they tend to be either very expensive or less expensive with less ambiance. Wolf & Lamb (which I've probably eaten at ten times over the last five years), sits comfortably in the middle. We ate lunch there arriving at 12:15PM. Just about every table was taken so I do recommend reservations. We both ate burgers which were excellent- the salmon burger at $29 and the WL burger at $34. Fries and onion rings come with the burgers and are excellent. The menu offers many choices beyond burgers. Tables are close together as per usual in a kosher place but the noise level is not overwhelming. The room is attractive. There are a few tables outside. The staff is friendly and efficient. Perhaps the only negative here is the absence of a lunch menu. I believe the lunch and dinner menus are one in the same making lunch a bit more expensive than it might otherwise be.

I visited this restaurant twice recently. Both visits were excellent: Steak, burgers, appetizers were properly cooked and delicious. Prices are not cheap but not overly expensive either, providing great value. Recommended!

Had a great meal with a couple friends. I am not restricted to kosher but my friends were and this place was great for everybody.

made rsvp for 1 pm - the place was mobbed food was very good - my chicken sandwich - but the waiter was just supper slow - had to walk over to him twice - best come at 12 or 1 30 pm .

The food at this busy kosher spot was modern and plentiful. The Thai filet salad was delicious as was the lamb rib appetizer. The only drawback is the lack of acoustics and this packed place was loud. But it's a small price to pay for a wonderful meal.

The food is of an exceptionally high standard and the service is competent. Centrally located it is one of the recommended stops for kosher visitors to the city. Their hamburgers are exceptionally good.

very limited lunch menu, prices high, have to climb to second story to use washroom, service slow and indifferent.

I've heard good things about Wolf and Lamb for years so I finally decided to try in on my recent visit to NYC. The ambiance was nice, but most of our food was very disappointing. And, the price-value was way off. We went with the casual/sandwich portions of the menu and ending spending well over $300 for burgers and chicken sandwiches for 4 people. On the positive side, the appetizer meat pizza was very tasty and the fries were great. That's there the good stuff ends. The soup of the day was awful. One chicken sandwiches was so bad (rubbery and tasteless) that I had to send it back. The replacement was acceptable, but the focaccia buns were not fresh. One of the burgers was burnt, but we ate in anyways. Very disappointing.

I've had a fillet which was perfectly cooked and started with flavorful salmon tartare. The service was astonishing and always ask for Kathryn

Ive eaten before but seem to recall it being in a different location. That or they have done a major rehab. Either way, the food was really good and tasty and the service was really good. And I felt that there was more space between tables than there was previously. not a cheap place but to be honest there are no good cheap kosher steakhouses in NYC. You get what you pay for. Will definitely be back.

I am only giving one star because I can’t give none. The young people working there treated me like they didn’t care if I was there or not. They ate in front of me and I had to ask for service. The food was so terrible they took my plate away full and threw it in the trash without asking me if I would like to have something else prepared or offering to remove it from my bill. I live in Beverly Hills. I am used to overpriced food, but not as overpriced and undeservedly so as this restaurant. I was forced to pay more than $70 for a sandwich and a cocktail!

We met NY friends at this restaurant. They chose it, having eaten there before and because it is kosher. The service was fine. Since it was a

We made reservations prior to a show during a weeknight in December. The resturant filled up quickly and we placed our order - grilled chicken and a filet medium rare. Both were terrible dishes. The chicken was so dry that my wife took one bite and pushed the dish away. My steak was a bit tuff, not tender in any way. even the side of onion rings were not up to par. The server did the right thing and took the chicken dish off the tab and offered a free desert. We appreciated the gesture, but longed for a good dinner. One note, there were several big groups and the couple next to us were told that their order would be at least 30 minutes, given their order was after the large group's.

If you want a good tasting substantial meal I highly recommend Wolf & Lamb. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you like Jewish American traditional, they have it. If you like to be a bit more adventuresome they have several creative dishes. The prices are reasonable and the waiters are attentive and efficient. If you have limited time or you want to sit a chat this place is for you.

A colleague introduced me to this restaurant. This is a kosher meat restaurant that has several creative dishes. The food was tasty and the service was great.

This place has improved so much since it changed location. Really good kosher place with an excellent menu and the service was great. The location is really convenient as well. Will be back.

We went at lunch-time, when it was fairly busy with staff from nearby financial institutions, but did not have to wait too long for a table. Service was friendly, the food excellent...and the price was fair...you cannot expect cheap meals in this area. A proper delicatessen....not like some Chinese or Indian places that are masquerading as delicatessens, and serving totally inedible junk food. Shall definitely go back here on the next NY visit.

very good kosher food . the hamburguer is a must it cost 34.00 us. very expensive but worth the money centrally located next to most good hotels

I went to Wolf & Lamb with my boss and a few prospects while in NYC at a conference. Everyone had a variety of items including burgers and steaks but I chose the different route. I started with their signature Manhattan drink which was great, but was a little too flat for my tastes. I think followed up with the soup of the day which was some kind of squash soup which was great. Instead of the traditional steak or burger, I chose the duck entree with some french fries. It was waaay better than I expected. The flavours were great and the portion size was also just right. Especially when coupled with the soup. I had a glass of Chardonnay and a we followed up with espressos. My boss had the filet and he loved it, but not as much as the filet from Le Marais the other night (see my other review on this). The service well planned and great and lead to a pleasant evening. I noticed that the entrees are about $5 to $10 more than for the same entrees at Le Marais. Our total bill including soup, entrees, drinks and tip for the night $190 - not bad for a premium kosher place for 2 people.

The concierge at The Waldorf recommended this as a deli close to the hotel. Proximity was the only good thing about it. A 17 dollar hamburger was the cheapest item on the menu. It arrived naked on a bun without so much as a pickle. This is a ripoff. No pastrami or corned beef in sight. THIS IS NOT A DELI.

good steaks, nice service and great beer selection! dessert very good, quiet so you can have a nice conversation and overall an enjoyable evening and most important its kosher!

Having booked this restaurant months in advance for my wife very special 50th birthday and advised the team, we were placed on a table by the kitchen. We were travelling from the UK. The restaurant was busy and we were seen as second class citizens. We moved tables and the food and wine was good, however the attention to detail for a special occasion was completely ignored. Not even a happy birthday or even we hope you enjoyed your meal. At $291 for steak and chips and a bottle of wine is a complete rip off. This was a special occasion let down by poor service which we had to pay 18%. Would rather eat in the best Kosher restaurants in London who pride themselves in customer service. Would not recommend for a special occasion.

After an awful and disappointing date I came here with my dad to unwind and the food and service was outstanding and amazing! I recommend the spiced cauliflower appetizer--we couldn't stop eating it!

Decent - if unspectacular - food, and below-average service. Our waitress was good but she was just one part of a fairly lacklustre team. Let me try and break this down for you. Arrival. We had pre-booked but had to stand ignored in the entranceway while three or four staffmembers fiddled around behind the bar to our left, including a daft-looking dude in an orange bucket hat who turned out to be one of the guys who washes the dishes. We were seated by a bus-boy with poor English and minimal social skills. Not ideal. Food. The food was ok, but cost a ton of money and was poor value. General rule of thumb: steaks were better than salads, salads were better than pastas… in terms of both taste, and value. There was a reasonably decent wine list with some pleasant Israeli selections. No more than a three out of five from us, I’m afraid.

I’d heard good things about W&L and our first visit was good, while not great. The chicken soup lacked flavour and the Fillet Mignon was good but overall the meal fell below my expectation. On the second visit the chef forgot to bring our starter and the main arrived cold. The young manager offered a significant reduction for us to eat the cold food, but we declined and left.

We stumbled upon this place our first night in NYC and since we were hungry and it was busy at 9pm we tried it. No indication that it was a steak house on the signage. My daughter is a vegetarian. Not a single entree option for her so she had a couple sides. Most folks were eating massive hamburgers. I tried the roasted chicken. A little over done but good flavor. Nice atmosphere and service. A little pricey but not ridiculous.

We ordered the stuffed chicken with sweet potato fries, a hamburger with mashed potatoes, salmon with baked potato and roasted chicken with sweet potato fries. Everyone agreed that the food was very delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to others.

I was here for the 9 days menu, so I decided on the grilled salmon. I had it medium and found it to be good.

My wife and I were in Manhattan for only a week with our two boys aged 11 & 13. We had already had enough of food which was big on portion size but small on quality. This place was our salvation. You need to book because it gets very busy even mid-week. It's a kosher Jewish restaurant - and we are neither - but that doesn't matter in the slightest. The burgers were amazing, as was the veal gnocchi. Bar and waiting staff very friendly.

We've been here a few times already. We've had a variety of foods from burgers and sandwiches to steaks and every time it's perfect. I am very particular about my steaks being "burnt" with no fat, but tasting good, and they actually discussed the possibilities and came up with something delicious. The ambience is really nice. The wait is long but worth it. If you need to wash to bread (jewish), they have silver foil wrapped pieces of bread to make a blessing on! First place I didn't just see a bunch of old bread pieces in a basket. A small thing, but it shows that they think of small things. This is Manhatten but there is outside parking in the evenings. The price is not small but reasonable. You can even get a coupon on Restaurants.com Overall this is a very good restaurant and I plan on returning. Maybe even tonite (our 41st wedding anniversary!). Enjoy.

light supper, short rib gnocchi, well cooked and flavourful. disappointing selection of wines by glass, and not great quality.

Ok, so- i don't keep kosher myself- but i get to dine with people who do. Kosher steaks are mostly mediocre - here me out- the steak here is great. Period. And its also kosher. Don't bother with the menu- sampled it- the best steak is something called "chefs reserve"a and thats what you should get. Awesome. Nice service too.

We were doing a little shopping at Saks and instead of eating there thought we would walk around the block and find something better - big mistake. $15 for a pretty poor corn beef sandwich on soggy sandwich bread and the same for a nasty old salmon roll fried in onions and chicken fat. The reek from the place got into our clothes and hair. Deli food in Manhattan ain't what it used to be - better to stay out out these so called Kosher Glatt places if you value your stomach - you stand a better chance on the street getting decent food from a cart!

Great food, high quality, incredible service, clean, pretty. What a great over all experience. I can't wait to go back.

I just returned home from a trip to the 'Big Apple' to celebrate my 65th birthday at Wolf & Lamb. We celebrated my brother's 62nd birthday at Wolf & Lamb in a visit in July 2018. As a native New Yorker, 'born & raised', I know my hometown like the 'back of my hand'. I used to live near another top rated steakhouse, Peter Luger in Williamsburg. Wolf & Lamb has steaks almost as good as Peter Luger. However, the staff at Wolf & Lamb is much friendlier & accomodating. Peter Luger's waiters take pride in their reputation for being "gruff and tough". They act like their establishment is 'doing you a favor' letting you eat there. At Wolf & Lamb, I have had the same server for two of my most recent visits. She is helpful to my almost 90 year old aunt in every way possible during the meal. I have seen her kindness when families bring their infants to eat there, even when the children don't behave as well as they should in a 'high end' restaurant. The food is always fresh & delicious. They make it a real pleasure to celebrate special occasions at their establishment. Thank you to the manager on duty at my last visit Mandell, and our server (for the 2nd time in a row) Meredith.

Greeting was ugly, service was good, but the food was standar taste. Will not go back. The hamburger didn't taste good

This place is great!!! This is old fashioned New York deli meets steakhouse in a funky atmosphere. From the exposed brick wall, black and white pics on wall. Great service, food, and location!!! We had a great time, and will be back soon.

Very nice resturant with welcoming peopel Very clean with very good service .we liked the stakes and every thing because we were family with freinds like 12 people so that every one said that the food and the aperetif was tasty.we highly recomended for this resturant

Attentive staff. Small menu. Prices a bit high. Portions a bit small, But all the food was well prepared appealing and tasted great.

Beautifully cooked steak, good service, good hamburgers, clean, modern urban decore, full bar. Delicious chicken sandwich. Good selection of side dishes.

Eat here all the time - that is when I can get in. My office is around the corner so I have the luxury of hopping in when I want. This place is so successful , you need a reservation most of the time. So, I make one. Or just come at odd times. Small yet well appointed, the place has great eating ambience. You just feel like eating there. Nice wine list and fantastic hamburgers. What - kosher hamburgers in midtown and this is special somehow? Yup. Just try it. They have a wonderful chef, great food, impeccable service all in a small midtown bistro that enjoys serving you. Some of the items on the menu are pricey, but try the chicken fritters in that delicious gravy with dipping sauce for appetizers. lamb burgers (worth the price of admission) hamburgers, veal burgers and truly edible tasty stakes. The salmon burger is a specialty too. Additionally, they have a host of salads and you can top it with salmon or chicken. The staff is well trained and always smiling. What's so funny anyway - did you see what I just tipped you? I tip pretty well actually. Maybe that's why they smile. Love to talk about the deserts but I don't remember ever eating one . I'm so full after dinner and wine , I can't make the room.

This was was my first time at a Kosher restaurant and will probably be my last. I ordered the bone in Ribeye medium rare and out came a piece of meat which was dry and void of any taste. My colleagues seemed to enjoy their meal but for $65 for a steak, I expected much more. The same applies for the sauteed spinach as the side; it was listless and void of taste. I did enjoy our bottle of Herzog 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon. The entire bill came to well over $350 and I left extremely disappointed. Is this how Kosher food is supposed to taste? If so, I won't be back any time soon to a Kosher restaurant. This was a poor value dining experience for me. Additionally, we arrived for a table at 8.30pm and the table wasn't ready until 9pm which is unacceptable.

We ate here on our first night in NY and it was so good that we went back on the last night. The food is excellent. Between us we tried steak, tuna, veal, duck and a burger - everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. The atmosphere is calm but there is also a nice vibe, and the staff are there when you want them but know how to make themselves scare. It is a little pricey, but the food could not be faulted. They also have a great selection of local and specialty beers. We would both recommend and would return here.

Came here on a pouring night after a friend's book reading. My friend and I were in the mood for burgers so figured this would be a great spot. It was packed when we arrived and waited about 15 mins for a table. The ambiance was lovely. My friend got the veal burger with fried egg while I had the W & L burger. Everything was delicious and service was great. It was the perfect place for a cozy dinner on a rainy night.

I have been to many kosher restaurants in Manhattan and I would say although the food was good Wolf & Lamb is not worth it - the service was slow and plain bad. Although we had ordered 2 entrées only 1 was served (and it had taken a while), when we pointed it out they realised they had taken our order incorrectly (their fault), so we had to wait a further 25 - 30 minutes. Instead of immediately rushing to place the forgotten order, the waitress casually spoke to other diners first. In addition there was a mistake with the dessert of the table next to us, so they were delayed a mere 5 minutes, their dessert was fully comped - we were offered a refill of our wine, which we didn't want (we'd finished our meal by then), but nothing else was offered. So we spent $70 each (starter, glass of wine & an entrée each), with no discount for their mistake or the delay. I would also add all other tables were given bread when they sat down, we weren't, but didn't complain as decided it wasn't a big deal. So disappointed; a simple apology, a sense of urgency or perhaps comping our glasses of wine would have left us feeling much better on the last night of an otherwise wonderful trip.

Good food but try to have a late lunch. The place was packed at 1:30 but was emptying out by 2:00. Pricy meal without the frills that I would expect in a pricy restaurant Salmon ceviche was excellent but missing bread. Lamb chops were good but not sublime.

Pretty cozy spot in the mid of downtown, with obv focus on different steaks and poultry. One problem the waiter had no clue about the wine decanter, althought average wine price was around 100 bucks.

Everything about this restaurant was incredible!! A must "Go To" in New York City!! The food was brilliant and the service impeccable!!

As usual in New York very expensive. 1 course main meal with 4 drinks was £100 Tuna was excellent. Steak less so. Service very good and attentive. Relatively noisy but....

I still can't get over how good the food and experience was at Wolf and Lamb. Food: Everything was presented elegantly and tasted delicious. I ordered: Spicy Chicken Tenders, Brisket Sandwich and the Ground Beef Hamburger. Out of all three that I ate (though my table ordered much more), the chicken tenders were surprisingly the best. They were perfectly spiced, the texture was delicious and the sauce was a bonus hit. It might have been the best chicken tenders I've ever had. Service and Ambiance: Our waiter was very kind and friendly. We did not wait a long time for the food. The waiter always made sure we had enough water :) It was a polished restaurant and had a very comfortable atmosphere. Bottom Line: It's absolutely worth your while when in NYC. Make a reservation online!

I went in there with my client who eats kosher. I was skeptical about what kind of food was kosher. It blew my mind away when I had the hamburgers here. Just plain marvelous with the quality. The patty was soft, juicy, and flavorful. I really couldn't stop raving about this place for days. Their spicy fries had some nice kick and crunchiness to it. I would love to explore more food there some other time. Just a work of caution to the people that likes tranquil restaurants. This place gets loud. It's like eating lunch at a rock concert loud. But if you are OK with that, I'd say go for it!

Terrible customer service, food quality very bad (wolf and lamb salad with chicken, burnt steak and the oily kale and mushroom side dish and sweet potato french fries). Terrible customer service because we came in for a friends birthday and it was mentioned in the booking reservation for the dinner occasion, we brought in the cake and the server advised us they will keep it in the fridge and will charge us $5 per person to cut the cake once served. We said fine and after the dinner, we asked them to bring the cake to celebrate our friend birthday, the server came to us and said, they can't serve the cake because the cake box doesn't have the kosher symbol and when we asked him why you didn't advise us that at the beginning, and he couldn't comment. We called for the manager and he said same thing. We asked for the bill, and they brought the bill and they added 18% gratuity fee (we were 4 people) and they refused to remove it because they said it is written on the menu they charge 18% gratuity fee and we should read the menu well. Really terrible experience and they ruined our friend birthday celebration and the whole evening. Never recommended this place to anyone for life !!!

We went here for our anniversary, and Jimmy was our server. He was spot on with his recommendations including beers, the lamb sliders, the steak, and the filet mignon! He knew the menu very well, and provided excellent service! On top of that, they gave us a free desert (I only found out when I got the bill) due to our anniversary (when I made the reservation online, I had noted that it was our anniversary). My only complaints were as follows: The wait staff forgot to bring us bread and oil to start as they did their other customers, and when I asked for it, our entree was coming out, so it was a waste. They should have been more attentive. The atmosphere was nothing special. It was not crowded. They do not have beers on tap, but rather in a can, which when they give you the can, I think it's a bit tacky. While the food was good, the steaks were nothing special, especially for that price point. We felt that with LeMarais, Abigail's... with a similar price point, the steak is much better! All in all, I probably won't be returning.

My family stopped here for dinner after an exhausting day of walking the streets. A lovely atmosphere. Not pretentious but a proper restaurant experience. Delicious burgers and wonderful meal. Great service. A kosher place that gets it right.

Everything was so delicious! The chef used herbs and spices that I could not put my finger on and it was so good!

Top class. Not like some of the crazy expensive kosher NYC steakhouses trying to be something there are not. Simple food well cooked, tasty, great menu, great staff. We loved it and will be back

My wife, 2yr old and myself went on a Wed night and the place was rammed. The food was great, and my 2-yr old wolfed down (no pun intended) the salad with chicken thighs. I would have liked a better steak selection but overall good menu choices.

Came at 3pm. Not a busy hour. Serbia was very fast and efficient. Ate a large black Angus which was done perfect and was perfect. Had a glass of French wine (should ordered Israeli wine which is much better). Very good home made pickles. Overall a great experience. Not cheap but worth every dollar.

Ordered thai steak salad; description was mouth watering but the reality... Beautiful tender steak but a rough chopped white cabbage base stretches the definition of salad & hard to comprehend why it was noted as Thai. But we can't get that quality kosher meat in UK, so was a real treat non the less

We had some extraordinary dinners in NYC over the holidays, but nothing beat our lunch at Wolf & Lamb. I am crazy about delis - and having lived in Montreal for many years - I am partial to Smoked Meat. But every time we'd come to NYC and hit a famous deli - I was always disappointed. Lively and full of character - but over-priced, rushed, and always serving so-so food. Then we found Wolf & Lamb. It was packed at lunch with a really business-y upscale clientele. We lucked out with a table in fact. The service was superb. Very friendly, warm and professional. And how can you go wrong when they put a JAR of half-sours in front of you when you sit down! I am used to paying $3 for a pickle! I had the best warm corned-beef of my life. Buttery, fatty, sliced so thin. The rye bread was great. Words cannot describe it - and next time we are in town we are coming for dinner.

My wife, son and I were looking for a decent steak dinner at a restaurant nearby our W 44th hotel, and this one appealed to us since it sounded informal enough to match our hot weather apparel. My steak was excellent, as was my son, but my wife was not entirely happy with hers. I did a swap and everything worked out. Service was great, and we spent (for NYC) a modest amount of money including a bottle of wine. They had some nice live jazz music when we arrived that continued through most of our meal. Nice atmosphere and excellent service.

about half the tables were full, but perhaps we were just there on a slow night. the food was good, service super.

I went to the Wolf and Lamb about a year ago and was disappointed overall (as noted in my prior review). I just went again and have to say the experience was much much better. The chicken tenders appetizer was great, and my turkey burger was one of the best I've had (and I've had many). It was perfectly seasoned and incredibly moist, plus the roasted vegetables on top paired with the basil mayo - outstanding. Even the sweet potato fries were better than last time. Other members of the party were also very happy with their meals, the tuna steak probably got the most raves. Also, I have to mention that our waitress was very good - attentive, friendly, and enthusiastic. So - Wolf and Lamb - I am very happy to see how much you've improved, I will definitely be back.

It is a kosher place and therefore frequented by many Jews, many of whom knew each other by greeting each other from the tables. I believe that religious familiarity is the predominant thing about the place, otherwise the service is a little cold, the food is good, but very expensive compared to the quality. The prices indicated in the menu that appears here on trip are practically double the real one (perhaps not updated). I don't feel like recommending it in particular.

Was visiting NYC and met a childhood friend who insisted we go to Wolf and Lamb. I had the prime rib and it was incredible! I usually don't eat a good piece of steak out, but I was happy to be able to.

Food was perfect and delicious. Service wasn’t as fast as we had wanted, and when we mentioned to the waiter that we really had to go and needed everything quicker, they covered our dessert! Nice touch. Great kosher meat food. Menu is small but customizable with help from the waiter. Vibe is steakhouse - upscale but not too quiet that you couldn’t bring kids there. Side note: it would appear they’re moving to a spot just next door soon - we saw the new storefront signs as we walked out.

They have a very good menu and everything that I have eaten there was very good. The staff is also very friendly and provide good service. My only complaint would be that they could improve the ventilation so you don't walk out smelling like a french fry.

The food was awful, the portions are small and the service was just as bad as the food. We had steaks and salads. The lettuce was soggy and there was so little meat in the salad, we thought it was a slice of pepper. It was a very expensive meal for an inedible meal. When you pay $40.00 for a steak, you do not expect to leave the restaurant hungry. The waiter scolded us for not ordering appetizers. Try Le Marais, a better choice in the theater district.

I enjoy go there a couple of times this month. Place is very crowded, I love the L and W hamburger , one of the best I've ever had. The best was the home made French fries. Overall a very nice place to have lunch or dinner in NYC. Service is OK and place look clean. It's not cheap, but not do expensive if you compare to other kosher places at this level.

It was my first visit there. Had dinner with a friend. Place is nicely decorated, was full when we visited. Midtown location is perfect. I recommend you try the appetizers. We had two different ones and enjoyed both. Run there!

I got a small steak and my wife got the gnocchi. Both were good, the gnocchi maybe even a bit better than expected. But, I have to say this was my first dining experience ever in New York that I just didn't understand why the prices were so high. Everything on the menu seems to be consistently twice the price that we see at other nice restaurants. It's hard to make a direct comparison, but this place makes Tavern on the Green seem rather reasonable. If you are nearby, I'd certainly recommend Wolf & Lamb if you have an expense account credit card.

we were for a short visit in New York. I wanted to meet my beloved cousin Jill, with her grand daughter. we met for dinner in wolf and lamb restaurant and enjoyed the meeting with great food. the only thing that disturbed me was the music that was too loud and didn't let us talk quietly.

The quality of the food was outstanding, and the presentation was exquisite. We ordered the tomahawk stale al for two, and it was magnificent. The cauliflower steak appetizer was exceptionally flavorful as well.

The food was really good. The service was excellent. The drinks were great. The restaurant was a bit loud but otherwise it was a really nice experience!!

We came to this restaurant before heading off to a play. Tried various dishes, including a hot pastrami sandwich and the special with a variety of meat like lamb chops and rib eye steak. Food was nicely prepared and tasted wonderful. Tried the bottle of Segal's Merlot and it was actually pretty good. I was a little surprised at the cost, over $300 for 4 people, no dessert. Maybe I am not used the NYC restaurant prices as a visiting Dude from CA. Or good kosher food is simply more expensive.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant with a large group. The food was excellent, and in particular, I enjoyed the lamb chops!

Excellent food, fantastic waitress who was both friendly and helpful. Lively ambience, noisy and welcoming. Highly recommended

Context is everything. I expect to pay $40+ for a top end steak, esp. in a Kosher restaurant. And the steak here was simply stated the best I have ever had. Cooked to order (medium rare), with a great crust. Even the end pieces were delightfully pink inside. The mushroom/red wine reduction and herbed potatoes were stellar. But, the room was loud and for these prices I expect a nicer bathroom. The industrial pink hand soup was fine in 4th grade but does not live up to the context of the restaurant.

The hanger steak, lamb burger, filet mingon, are all delicious. The service is great and the meat soft and tender. But I have to say for the price I would have liked better decor.

Great pit stop for a good time! Beer choices are slim but on point! The service and servers were flat out lightning amazing. Prices are akin to NYC, but all good. Would go back!

We were looking for a quick lunch while touring midtown, and this restaurant seemed inviting. The empanada appetizers were yummy, and my companion had the W&L Burger, and while I enjoyed the steak salad. We also had the chocolate mousse and bread pudding desserts. All of the food was okay. Our server may have been tired as we arrived after the lunch rush, however we never saw this person again between the time our appetizer arrived until she brought the check. Overall good food, but I had to ask for water glass to be filled more than three times before the end of the meal, and the place had only 2 other tables occupied, so felt neglected.

Really good restaurant and casual, which I like. My family and I were in town and wanted a good Kosher steakhouse. My kids loved it and so did my wife and I. The service is quick, the food tasty and fairly priced...for a kosher place. Not a ton of ambiance and I didn't like the way the employee's bags were filling up a wall by the restrooms. The curtain covering the refrigerated drinks also was a bit tacky, but these are smaller issues. I like the "backstage" items to stay backstage and allow me the experience of being in the restaurant, but really no biggie. We went twice in 8 days and we'd strongly recommend the veal or beef hamburgers (though they tend to overcook them more than you ask them too, but not so badly as to ruin them) and the rumaki. The veal chop was too fatty, but the sliders were great. The kids loved the small bottles of soda and the fact that you can order a hotdog (not on the menu) to keep the cost down. One word of advice: They tend to like the same sauce (a chipotle BBQ sauce) for a few of their dishes and it was completely different the two times we went. The first time it had a hint of kick and was awesome. The second time it was REALLY spicy and really took away from the dish. I'd recommend that you ask to taste it before the meal because while I love spice, it overpowered the main ingredients in the dish. Bottom line: Great food, nice atmosphere and good service.

I was a little thrown off when the waitress explained to me that I couldn't have sour cream with my baked potato (because it is a kosher restaurant...who knew?!). Then the place quickly filled up with the lunch crowd and I felt out of place. The clientele was 95% male, and of course a good share of yamakas around. Me being a woman of many colors, I felt a little out of place...OK, a LOT out of place. But the waiters and the host made me feel welcome, so I giggled it off and waited for my steak....it was a thing of beauty and delicious! I had asked for it to be cooked medium with a nice char on it, and that's exactly how it was cooked. And the porcini mushroom sauce that they pour over it is just dreamy...so good in fact that I asked for an additional small side of the sauce for my mashed potatoes (with no dairy whatsoever in them, so expectedly bland). The steak really was outstanding. I'm destined to go there again, many times for lunch. The sandwiches the waiters were delivering to other tables looked really good. Lucky me that I work just few blocks away from Wolf & Lamb. The restaurant was loud, though, so I'll likely order take out.

We were out walking and decided to find a steakhouse for dinner. We saw this small restaurant on 48th Street and asked a few of the patrons sitting out front if the food was any good. After we were told it was very good, we went inside and discovered a gem of a place. The service was great. While we were not searching for a Kosher restaurant, so that did not factor into our decision to eat at Wolf & Lamb. We found the food delicious.

Wolf & Lamb could be one of the best kosher restaurant in NY. Prices are high, but the dinner is more an experience than normal food serving. Starters are delicious and soft, particularly the salmon tartare. You can pair your dinner with wine / beer aswell here, as this restaurant has the license (we discovered not every place has!!). The steak meat is very soft and juicy, spiced properly. Service is gentle and reasonably quick

My wife and I went news years eve for a meal away from the hussle and bussell and must say the service and food where first class. We didn't book and were luck to be given a table. We were promptly served and the food was delicious Thank you and would recommend

Given location I didn't have high expectations - we went as we were keen for a deli and hungry after a visit to MoMA. Average in every respect apart from prices! Nothing unpleasant, no problems, but not up to the standards available elsewhere in the city.

I don’t know if it’s to do with the fact you cannot get fantastic Kosher steaks where we live in London but after visiting Wolf and Lamb I could see this was definitely true... My meal was great and my wife’s was even better! The bill was a little high but that’s the price of Kosher meat and if it's that good then it is worth it! I plan to go back to NYC in the next year or two and I will be sure to dine here again and again.

The best place we ate in nyc! packed, but worth waiting. Delicious meat , and everything else too! we will return!!

When you're paying over $150 per head, you expect a few things: high quality food, a nice atmosphere, and good service. My experience here fell short on all three. Service was average, the setting and table were below average, and there was a huge mismatch between the quality of the food and the price. NY is an expensive, no doubt. But this took it to another level considering what we paid for.

I give this place two thumbs up! (I would give more if I could) It has terrific food coupled with great service and vibe - what more can you ask for? I'm a local of NY and do a lot of restaurant hopping, but I have yet to find a steakhouse that can compete. Go there for a business lunch or a romantic dinner. I highly recommend it, you won't be disappointed!

Good restaurants seem hard to find in this area and we stumbled on this by accident. It was full and bustling with a good atmosphere. We had a very nice welcome (even though we are not of the Jewish faith) and the food was very good with quick, efficient service. Recommended

So when it comes to a family reunion at a restaurant I'm put in charge since I'm the foodie of the family. The reason I chose Wolf and Lamb is because every time I ate there I had a great time. Lunch or dinner they never let me down. I was a bit worried since I have a big family but they accommodate large groups very well. All the entrees came out at the same time and they even had a few really good options for the kids. The waiter was very informative and was able to help choose a dish for my sister that is allergic to a few things. we had a great time, Thank you for making our family reunion wonderful and enjoyable and stress free!

My wife and I had a very nice dinner here. The service was very good. The waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. His recommendations were spot on. The lamb sliders appetizer and fried pickles were incredible. The cowboy ribeye steak that my wife and I shared was good. We will definitely be back.

The food was wonderful, the staff were kind, funny and efficient. The barman made the most wonderful cocktails and offered us special insights into New York. Altogether a must do!

We had lunch at the restaurant this week. The food was ok and there is a wide variety of food to choose from. My son enjoyed his hamburger and the steak was fine although too salty. They have to work on their service. It took ages to get our food and they started clearing the table while some of us were still eating. It is also quite pricey.

Me and my wife chose this restaurant as it looked a nice place. We were on our honeymoon in NYC and this was the only meal that let us down. They had just moved premises and were still waiting on their liquor license which we only got told when we asked to see the wine list. However we did stay as we had ordered our food. (Another couple that sat down after we finished walked out of the restaurant because they couldn't serve them a glass of wine.) and this should have been communicated to us when we walked in. I'm on holiday we really wanted a nice glass of wine with our evening meal, so that was a dissapointment. Value for money was also an issue-and the food wasn't very good for a place we were expecting to be much nicer. Definately one to avoid and try Capital Grille at the bottom of the Chrysler Buildingif you want an amazing steak!

In search for a good kosher restaurant, we randomly walked into wolf & lamb. fortunetly, they had a table for two. The food was great (we went for burgers) and the portion of the dishes was large. It seemed to us that the crowd that attended the restaurant that day was not only jewish, and I'm pretty sure they enjoyed the food as well. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very nice too. The service was pleasent, but it took quite some time to get our food - the same has happend to other diners around us. We didn't mind that, and possibly, this might be related to the fact the food is really being prepared, and is fresh, rather than being warmed up. Overall- we really enjoyed it, and planning to come back again

This upscale restaurant draws a fine diversified clientele. American creative kosher cuisine is served in old-world style. You get fine dining in a casual décor with a fair selection of wines though the presentation is lackluster. Fish, fowl or meat are the main choices. The lamb rib appetizer and sumptuous sliders are our favorites as is the molten chocolate cake desert. Nice size portions mitigate a pricey menu. The staff was attentive, professional and friendly. As tables filled up the lack of acoustics obligated us to speak less. Nevertheless, this establishment is destined to become part of New York's fine culinary fabric. No street parking is available during the day. Pleased enough to soon return and issue a follow-up review.

Just had the Cowboy ribeye steak medium it had to be one of the best steaks ive had and the desert was also great

Cowboy steak was perfectly cooked and was very tasty. Service was nice. Ambiance pleasant. This place is consistently good which is worth a lot!

A very well located place next to Rockefeller Plaza with good quality food but slow and distracted service. The temperature of the dishes is regular.

The place has amazing food. The meat was don to perfection, outstanding service. It's a great place for a high end dinner. Would definitely come back for special occasions

My wife and I had a very nice dinner here. Great food. high quality. very good kosher food. The waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Service fine, food pretty good. But sloppy with the wine. Glass of merlot was great, but then the second glass was sour. Atmosphere nice. Overall, would return.

Disappointing with some highs. Staff were friendly and informative however, Not comparable to Le Marais

Everytime I go to Wolf & Lamb, I am newly delighted. The food is simply scrumptious, the prices fair. You can get side dishes, fish dishes, but the restaurant is noted for its steaks. The service is great. It's usually quieter upstairs. I suggest reservations in case it's busy, especially if you're going out business related or with a larger group.
Expensive but a great treat
Nice to be in a city with lots of kosher restaurants, and this happens to be one of the best. We walked in without a reservation, but only had to wait about 10 minutes. Delicious!
