My friend and I were looking for a lunch place near the Met. We were very happy with our choice of Yasouvlaki. Great lunch specials! I really enjoyed the chicken skewers with a side Greek salad, and coffee was included for $14. The waitress could not have been any nicer.

The atmosphere is very relaxing, the wait staff is very friendly, accommodating and attentive and the food is DELICIOUS. We had the pork souvlaki which was wonderful.

Absolutely the best lamb burger we have had anywhere in the world! We also had a braised lamb special over rice which was packed with flavor and a more than ample portion. Service was quick, everyone was eager to help, and desserts were amazing. Our new “go to” place in the neighborhood!

Amazing food and service! Waitress was incredibly friendly and efficient and the food was amazing! Best grilled octopus I’ve ever had.

Wonderful friendly atmosphere from the time Julia met us at the door. Staff very attentive to your dining experience and will be shocked if you had to ask for anything other than a suggestion. Good size portions of fresh cooked to perfection food. Adding to our NYC must makes.

The portions were big. The services was good. Prices were reasonable. I liked the Falafel. The Greek Fries with the Feta Cheese was delicious The Pork Gyro was very tasty.

Good service. Great portions. Meat cook to desired term and simply delicious!! Chicken, pork and lamb had each a unique taste. And on desserts...skip the baklava and hit the other one ekmek kaffaiti, you won't regret the decision!! Enjoy!

Excellent service The food reminded me of being on a Greek island Highly recommended I will definitely be a frequent customer there

Years ago I spent time on the island of Naxos, Greece and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Yasouvlake is the first restaurant of several I've tried that comes close to my experience in Greece. A platter of very tasty food was twenty dollars. Great value.

Love this little neighborhood spot! Have been enjoying lunch & their weekday happy hour since they opened 2 yrs ago but today is the first day I learned they have a brunch menu! Happy days!! I tried their breakfast gyro, a delicious fresh made scrambled egg, sausage, cheese with fresh herbs in a pitta "sandwich"! BF thoroughly enjoyed the Farmer's Platter! This local gem never disappoints but I've hesitated writing a review because as word gets out I'll never get a seat!! Staff is great, always polite, even when slammed as they are during dinner rush. Be sure to try the lemon chicken soup or the chic pea soup if you are lucky enough to be there on a day the chic pea is their soup of the day! Heck, try everything on their menu!! Will take pictures next time!

A new Greek restaurant on the upper west side of New York—fabulous food, friendly service, reasonable prices. We will absolutely be back!

We had a nice dinner here. It's a go-to restaurant for my daughter and it was my first time. We ordered family style and everything was very good. We started with dolmas, 3 spreads (spicy red pepper, eggplant and tzatziki), and spanakopita. My favorite was the spicy red pepper spread which included crumbled feta. The spanakopita was chocked full of spinach and the phyllo was nice and crispy. We then had roasted chicken, Brussels sprouts, and beet salad. The chicken was moist, the Brussels sprouts were flavorful and I loved the roasted Haloumi in the salad.

Food was well prepared. And specials offered were quite interesting. Liked the gigabytes preparation a lot. Call ahead fir seating to prevent waiting.

Food was great and so was the service 10/10 will definitely eat there again and recommend. Desert was fabulous and so was the atmosphere

Very authentic Greek food and our server was very hospitable and friendly! We ordered the saganaki and gyro platters. Very fresh ingredients! We’ll be back!

Great food, massive portions! We each had a platter and could have easily shared!! Lovely ambience and a great vibe. Lots of people coming in and out. We didn’t book so got the table next to the door. Given it was -15 outside it wasn’t the best table in the house, very cold but other than that 👌🏼

We really had a great time enjoying the seafood platter good for 3 people. Their salads, fried cheese, gyros and beers from Greece! What a treat! Good portions. And Everything was so tasty! The service too was excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff. Two thumbs up!

Best Greek food I’ve ever had! My daughter (14) had a bite of my amazing Lamb Burger and she said it tasted like what she pictures Greece to be like. That was the highest compliment from a teenager! I LOVED the lamb burger and loved my daughter gyro. We had calamari to start and that was so good too. Everything just made you feel like you were in the kitchen or a Greek family. Wonderful authentic decor. Just everything was on point!!

We’ve gone to this restaurant on and off since they opened. The food that they offer was excellent. They have wine and beer only. The last 2 times the food was extremely salty??? I brought this to the attention of our server who just didn’t give a dam! No apology, not even “can we make another sandwich” You could see and touch the salt crystals on the food! We asked for the check, paid it and left! Not good PR. Haven’t been back since! (We had pork souvlaki and chicken gyro)

YaSouvlaki on the Upper West Side is a gem for anyone craving fresh, flavorful Greek food. I ordered the pork gyro, chicken soup, and Greek salad, and each dish impressed me. The pork gyro was tender and well-seasoned, with just the right amount of char and a generous portion of toppings. The chicken soup was hearty and comforting, perfect for a chilly day, and the Greek salad was crisp, vibrant, and loaded with fresh vegetables and tangy feta. The atmosphere is relaxed but stylish, making it a great spot for both casual meals and catching up with friends. Service was friendly, prompt, and attentive without feeling rushed, which added to the overall pleasant dining experience. It’s clear the team here takes pride in what they serve, and it shows in the quality of the food and the care they put into their guests’ experience. Highly recommend!

First visit and will definitely be back . excellent service and great food… moussaka… I would highly recommend. Sorry forgot to take pictures!!
Good (and surviving!) addition to the 'hood
Great neighborhood spot with seating indoors (buzzy), outdoor on the street (sweet) and in the outdoor shed (not bad all..). Food is consistently good - I've eaten most of the menu, wines reasonably priced. Service professional, efficient and friendly.
