Zucker's Bagels & Smoked Fish Reviews

I have eaten Bagels at many of the popular bagel shops in New York. I can therefore say, from experience, that a bagel from 'Zuckers' on 6th Avenue is very good. I had a toasted Everything Bagel with Scallion Cream Cheese and Bacon (US$8.70) and it was delicious. Zucker's has a nice ambiance (and smell of fresh bagels) with 3 booths and several rows of tables and chairs for dining in. I visited for breakfast on two mornings out of my four in New York and would visit Zucker's again when next in New York City.

Comparable quality and service to a turnpike service station. Asked the order taker for a "Classic" from the menu. He didn't know what it was. (omelet with bagel or fruit. We eventually got it ordered. Bagel wasn't toasted, so that took longer than drinking my coffee. Bagel was fine, but similar to any chain, no need to come to NYC for it. Omelet was inedible. Latke cold and stale. Restaurant was clean and plenty of seats, but no other reason to come in here. I'm surprised a place like this can survive in a city with so many amazing places to eat.

Good bagels and cream cheese, great bagel sandwiches. Typical NYC bagel spot, if we’d gone here first on our trip we’d have probably eaten more than once.

WOW, outstanding bagels & sandwiches. Great location across from Bryant Park. Reasonably priced, good value. Best bagel you may ever have. Fresh, just the right crisp. Check out menu before you go check out their www, click on PDF menu for pricing. Staying at Luma hotel, we liked it so much, went four times. We ordered bagels every visit. 1. Bagel with cream cheese, Bagel Pastrami sandwich 2. Bagel & Bagel with whitefish salad & side of herring. 3. Bagel, Bagel with omelet 4. Just Bagels. Limited seating, if you plan to eat there, snag the first seats you see, 3 booths, 6 counter seats and a number of tables. Good selection of drinks, coffees, snacks. Highly recommended.

Many, many options from sandwiches (on a bagel) to bagels and cream cheese. It is very busy, but service was quick. Orders taken in person, an old school touch.

I was on my way to Central Park and figured I find breakfast on the walk in. I came by Zuckers and it turned out to be the best bagel of my life. I got the salt bagel with chive schmear. It was phenomenal!

Great bagels. The coffee was fresh and hot. The service was fast and the egg bagel sandwiches are satisfying. Nice tables to sit and enjoy.

Amazing bagels. We loved the smoked salmon & cream cheese - so fresh. It was my first experience in New York and it was awesome.

Stopped in with my husband for lunch. Ordered omlet & sandwich and soup. The guy behind the counter was rude after I asked a question about what came on the sandwich. He told me what I wanted I could make at home?!? WTF does that mean?? Paid over $45.00 for sandwich and omlet. Went to get my order they forget my chicken noodle soup and side of fresh fruit. EVERYBODY from order taker to cashier to food expediter was snarky and rude. The place was not clean and looked like it has not been thoroughly cleaned in weeks. How was the food? Bland / run of the mill food. The soup tasted like Campbells soup. The bagel was a bit tough and overall completely forgettable. Would I go back? Ummm NO!

Takeaway breakfast here and eat at the tables in Bryant Park across the street. Wide choice of bagels for a taste of New York life. They are plentiful and quite good.

Awesome (but for one small thing). Prices were decent- selection was large-sandwiches were very creative – bagels were delicious. As a Jersey girl, I always ask what bagels came out recently and are “hot”. Staff really couldn’t care less to answer this question and seemed really annoyed. Fresh is one thing but I want fresh and hot. That to me is a perfect bagel. It can’t be that hard to figure out which ones came out soonest.But did not deter me from going back three times.

We went for breakfast and had a delicious meal. The bagels are large, Doughy, flavourful. The fillings range and were all what we hoped for. It’s not cheap but it was a generous portion and was quality. I would highly recommend.

Very good bagels, classic recipes, good dosage of ingredients. Right across Bryant Park. Ideal enough to eat on a table outside.

Great breakfast sandwiches, been here multiple times. Always hot food and good coffee. A bit awkward in the wait area (by registers), some people paying others waiting to order drinks to go with their food order.

Good food spot for a lunch, there are lots of different bagels (you can choose your bread as well), if you’re looking for something else than fast food, this is a good address!

Not much seating but friendly service and fantastic bagels and cream cheese as well as a variety of hot drinks to choose from.

This place was packed, but the food was really good albeit overpriced. This location is right across from Bryant Park, so if it's nice out I suggest taking your order there to eat.

Zucker's can be a reason to come to NYC! Then you go sightseeing! We came to this Bryant Park location for two of their Traditionals on everything. So Good! A couple of cappuccinos and we were set for the day! Love Zucker's!

I come to Zucker's every time in am in NYC. The bacon, egg & cheddar on everything is amazing. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is excellent. Very convenient to Times Square too.

I'm a big fan of lox & cream on everything bagels, so during my trip, I visited 4 different bagel shops in the area for brunch. It was okay at best. Bagel tasted dry and not fresh. It was definitely the most expensive of all I tried and the least delicious.

These bagels are underwhelming and don't compare to others I have had throughout New York City. This is clearly a chain, because the bagels were dry. The staff was rude and didn't seem particularly happy I was giving them business. Definitely a tourist trap!!

In July 2024 we went to lunch twice and loved the variety of options that are... delicious. This year we went with the enthusiasm of last year, but we got a cold bread, let alone portion than last year.

Best bagels in New York by a mile. So much choice and was delicious. Did not find them overly expensive for New York either. Was absolutely delicious.
