Mount Qingcheng

青城山

Located in the west of Dujiangyan, it is one of the birthplaces of Taoism and is known as "Qingcheng, the most secluded place in the world".
It is divided into two scenic areas, the front mountain and the back mountain. Most tourists go to the front mountain, while the back mountain is more suitable for mountaineering enthusiasts.
The front mountain is relatively small in area. A palace can be seen almost every hundred steps. Covered by dense vegetation, it looks classical and mysterious.
The back mountain is relatively large and retains a fairly primitive appearance. Although the palaces are not as popular as those in the front mountain, it is more quiet and clean.

Dujiangyan is only half an hour away from Qingcheng Mountain by car, so many routes arrange them together. We went up the mountain in the morning and down the mountain in the afternoon. We found that there were obviously more people in the afternoon. These were all group tours. It took us 6 hours to go up and down the mountain.

But it's really too exhausting to arrange it together, unless you take the cable car up and down Qingcheng Mountain. But I think that's too meaningless, and you won't learn much about history and culture.

We climbed the entire way up Mount Qingcheng and took the cable car down the mountain.

Qingcheng Mountain is divided into the front mountain and the back mountain. The front mountain is the route most people choose, with more cultural attractions, while the back mountain has more natural scenery.

The one-way bus to the scenic area costs 10 yuan, the ticket is 45 yuan after the student ID is discounted, the cable car is 35 yuan, and the guide is 30 yuan (the guide in Qingcheng Mountain is not as good as that in Dujiangyan and Wuhou Temple. There is no map, and it always stops talking halfway, or keeps repeating itself)

When I was riding in the sightseeing car, the music playing on the car was "Bai Suzhen, who was at the foot of Qingcheng Mountain, cultivated herself in the cave two years ago~" Then I realized that Bai Suzhen was cultivating herself here.

By My horse can't run fast. |

Let me briefly explain. Maybe the guide was not well prepared. According to my personality, I should choose the back mountain in theory, but I chose the front mountain this time. I came here to climb the mountain to exercise my body, so I must choose soft-soled non-slip sports shoes! ! ! The mountain is humid and the road is a bit slippery. You can bring some snacks and drinks in your bag to replenish your energy. Well, it's good overall. I can't take any amazing photos, just ordinary tourist photos...

Of course, the mountains of Qingcheng Mountain cannot be compared with Mount Tai and Mount Huangshan, but it is still very good for leisure and summer vacation, especially for friends living in Chengdu. After all, in addition to Longquan, Chengdu has only one mountain bag, Qingcheng Mountain. Set out in the morning and take a walk to Qingcheng Mountain. At noon, play Mahjong in such a quiet environment, drink Gaiwaner tea with friends and family, and listen to the birds singing. It is very comfortable. If you don’t want to go back at night, you can find a B&B nearby to stay and listen to the boss’s chatter. If it rains outside when you go to bed, it will be great. You can sleep until you wake up naturally! The last time I stayed in a B&B with my family, it was a villa. The family lived very comfortably, not crowded at all, and it was clean and hygienic;

The ninth scenic spot in Chengdu, Bai Suzhen climbed up and down Qingcheng Mountain, and cultivated herself in the cave two years ago. If you want to climb Qingcheng Mountain and Dujiangyan in one day, you must be on time for the bus in the morning, because there is only one bus a day, I missed it and only went to Qingcheng Mountain. Most people climb the front mountain, I also climbed the front mountain, and I climbed up by foot. I wanted to take the cable car down, but the line for the cable car was too long, so I had to walk down.

Qingcheng Mountain is located in the southwest of Dujiangyan City, 68 kilometers east of Chengdu City. The main peak, Laoxiaoding, is 1,260 meters above sea level. Surrounded by undulating peaks and lush forests, Qingcheng Mountain enjoys the beauty of "Qingcheng is the most secluded place in the world". Qingcheng Mountain has a long history and is one of the birthplaces of Taoism in China. It is the fifth of the ten major Taoist caves in China. The temples and temples on the mountain are centered on Tianshi Cave, and include Jianfu Palace, Shangqing Palace, Zushi Hall, Yuanming Palace, Yuqing Palace, Chaoyang Cave, etc. Qingcheng Mountain has been a place for scholars and poets to explore and live in seclusion since ancient times. It was called "the blessed land of caves" and "the city of immortals" in ancient times. Qingcheng Mountain is a world cultural heritage, a world natural heritage, and one of the four famous Taoist mountains in China.

Mount Qingcheng is one of the four famous Taoist mountains in China, one of the five immortal mountains, one of the birthplaces of Taoism in China, and one of the ten scenic spots in Chengdu. It is located in the southwest of Dujiangyan City, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, 68 kilometers east of Chengdu City, and 10 kilometers southwest of Dujiangyan Water Conservancy Project. The scenic area covers an area of 200 square kilometers, and the highest peak, Laojun Pavilion, is 1,260 meters above sea level. Mount Qingcheng is divided into the front mountain and the back mountain. The peaks are surrounded by undulating peaks and lush forests. It enjoys the reputation of "Qingcheng is the most secluded in the world". The whole mountain is green and evergreen all year round. The peaks are surrounded and look like a city wall, so it is named Mount Qingcheng. There are thousands of red stairs and winding paths, which are famous for their quietness and cleanliness. Inside and outside the scenic area, the quietness of Tianshi Cave and Yuanming Palace is a major feature of Mount Qingcheng.

Mount Qingcheng is a famous Taoist mountain located near Chengdu, about 60 kilometers away from Chengdu. It is very convenient to take the light rail from Chengdu Station or Xipu Station to visit Mount Qingcheng.

Mount Qingcheng is divided into the front mountain and the back mountain. The back mountain is larger than the front mountain. If you have one day, you can just visit the front mountain.

Qingcheng Mountain has rich vegetation and humid air. People with average physical strength can take a cable car and then hike up. We took the cable car first and it took about 5 hours to visit the front mountain. There are many steps, so you can walk slowly.

Qingcheng Mountain and Dujiangyan are relatively close, and you can arrange two days to visit Dujiangyan. You can spend most of the day touring Qingcheng Mountain, then stay in Dujiangyan, and then return to Chengdu after visiting Dujiangyan on the second day.

From the perspective of sightseeing, Qingcheng Mountain can be divided into the front mountain and the back mountain. The front mountain is the main part of the Qingcheng Mountain Scenic Area.

Beautiful scenery and many cultural relics

Most tourists from other places go to Qianshan.

Qingcheng Back Mountain has inconvenient transportation, dangerous terrain, and good natural scenery, but the mountain road is narrow and prone to traffic jams, which is also a test of driving skills, so it is mostly visited by local tourists. This time we went to the Back Mountain.

In recent years, a large number of hotels, homestays and restaurants have been built on the back hill of Qingcheng Mountain, making it a great place to spend the summer or relax after getting tired of the busy city.

To be honest, the tour group trip to Qingcheng Mountain was a bit tasteless. The tour guide said it snowed the week before. The mountain view might be better with snow, but the road is slippery. There is not much scenery in the front mountain of Qingcheng Mountain without snow. Apart from climbing the mountain and being exhausted, I just saw the three Taoist temples and listened to the tour guide's Taoist stories. When I went down the mountain, I bought a yacon to quench my thirst. It was sweet and tender to the heart, different from the fruits in Shanghai!

The parking lot of Qingcheng Mountain is quite far from the main entrance of Qingcheng Mountain, so it is best to take the sightseeing bus in the scenic area. After the sightseeing bus has been driving for a while, the archway of "The First Mountain in Western Sichuan" comes into view. Walk through the archway and walk a few dozen meters forward to the main entrance of Qingcheng Mountain.

After entering Qingcheng Mountain, there is a plaque behind the gate tower that reads "Qingcheng is the most secluded place in the world". The word "secluded" expresses the charm of Qingcheng Mountain. When you visit here, you can't help but feel more and more that the forests of Qingcheng Mountain are deep and dense, and the paths are winding and secluded. I believe that it was because of this unique seclusion of Qingcheng Mountain that White Snake chose to practice here for thousands of years.

After the plaque "Qingcheng is the most secluded place in the world", there is a stone lion sitting on the ground with a very solemn shape. The moss on its face makes it look more simple and heavy. I can't help but feel solemn. I sighed that it is worthy of being one of the four famous Taoist mountains in China. Even the stone lions at the gate are particularly imposing. I didn't expect that when I walked in, I was touched by the cute stone lion.

The carved beams and painted pillars of Ciyun Pavilion are very exquisite, with intricate carvings of the Eight Taoist Treasures and relief carvings of figures. Most of the themes are ancient Chinese myths, which are very pleasing to the eye.

I looked at the reliefs of characters in Ciyun Pavilion, and found many of the stories of the characters familiar to me.

Du Fu, the great poet, wrote in his poem "Zhangren Mountain": "Since I am a guest of Qingcheng, I will not spit on the land of Qingcheng. Because I love Zhangren Mountain, the red ladder is close to the secluded meaning." Later, Lu You praised Qingcheng and said, "Sitting and watching the mountains and waters, the air is quiet and clear." Wu Zhihui, a modern poet, said directly, "Qingcheng is majestic, strange and beautiful, and its secluded and deep, like Jiange, Three Gorges, and Emei, are not inferior. Therefore, the seclusion of the world marks the characteristics of Qingcheng." In my impression, I always thought that it was a Taoist temple with a lot of incense stacked on half of the mountain. But it is just a quiet mountain with a few Taoist temples dotted, and the Taoist characteristics are not so distinct. It is a very suitable mountain to climb.

The admiration for Mount Qingcheng is not only for its beauty and long-standing Taoist culture,

There are also legends about Jin Yong's martial arts.

Qingcheng Sect, Songfeng Temple, Master Yu, the Four Beauties of Qingcheng,

All of these are reasons to attract a martial arts fan to make a pilgrimage.

Shrouded in mist, Mount Qingcheng also has another side with winding paths and a fairy-like atmosphere.

The most recommended attractions in and around Qingcheng Mountain

The first time was a long time ago, about 10 years ago. At that time, I was fooled by the scalpers at the foot of the mountain and almost slipped down the mountain on the wild road at the back of the mountain. . . . However, the convenience of the back mountain is that you can go directly to the top of the mountain to see the Tianshi Cave, which saves a lot of climbing. It was pouring rain when I went there that day, so I have no memory of what I did specifically.

In 2018, I had the opportunity to visit Qingcheng Mountain again. This time, I went up the mountain from the main gate and carefully experienced the beauty of Qingcheng Mountain. When I went there this time, the parking lot was moved to 2 kilometers below the mountain gate (most scenic spots are doing this recently, and they also sell battery car tickets). It takes a while to walk to the main gate, but it is a different experience. From the parking lot, go up along the relatively wide mountain road, with lush greenery on both sides, and the beauty of Sichuan's mountains along the way. It is neither as vast and fang-revealing as the mountains in the north, nor as round and weak as the mountains in Guilin. The mountains in Sichuan are densely vegetated, but they can just show the still vigorous mountains, just like the Taoist yin and yang complement each other, just right.

All the way to the mountain gate, it was a good start to climb Qingcheng Mountain. After entering the mountain, the mountain road gradually became steeper, and began to show the beauty of Qingcheng. Yes, the word "beautiful" is very suitable for Qingcheng Mountain. Whether it is vegetation, mountain terrain, or architecture, it is not as unrestrained as the famous mountains in the north, but it is still steep and transcendent. It was only after entering the mountain that I understood why Zhang Tianshi chose this place to practice. It is a Feng Shui treasure land, a mountain and water cave paradise.

Friends who are not physically fit are better off taking the cable car. The cable car will take you to the gate of the Taoist temple. If you want to go up to the Tianshi Cave, you still have to climb a 2-kilometer mountain road. It still takes some physical strength to really reach the top. There are still many instructors in the mountain, interspersed among the crowd, with a unique and immortal style.

Last time I came to Chengdu, I only went to Dujiangyan due to time constraints, and then I kept thinking about Qingcheng Mountain, which is not far away. I saw many elderly people waiting for the bus at the station. Could it be that Qingcheng Mountain is also the back garden of Chengdu like Jixian County in Tianjin, a real farmhouse? Get off at Qingcheng Mountain, come to the bus station, take bus No. 101, it is only 4 stops away, 2 yuan, so don't listen to the call of those black cars. After getting off the bus, there is still a distance from the gate of the scenic area, you can take a sightseeing bus, 10 yuan per person, save some energy. I particularly like this feeling, the green everywhere. It is most appropriate to label Qingcheng Mountain as quiet. The ginkgo leaves all over the ground have a very good artistic conception. It is so comfortable. With this environment, these green plants and this air, it would be strange if you don’t live a long life if you live in such a place. Maybe it is because I consumed too much energy in the previous mountain climbing and have not recovered, maybe it is because I was too tired from the rampage yesterday, maybe it is because I wore too many clothes today, maybe it is because the backpack is a bit heavy. In short, I feel really tired from climbing the mountain today. The original plan to continue climbing the back mountain tomorrow has been completely denied. Now when climbing the mountain, I basically climb up the mountain, and choose the cable car to go down the mountain, because it is too knee-breaking. As I get older, protecting my knees is everyone’s responsibility. After getting off the cable car, you can walk around it on the side road, or you can choose to take a boat. We are trying something new. The boat ticket is 5 yuan. There are about 100 people on a boat. It takes a hundred years to cross the same boat. If you don’t take a boat, you can go around it from the path behind the woods.

At first I thought the boat was rowed there or driven by a motor, but when I got there and saw two cables I realized it was pulled there.

Qingcheng Mountain is one of the four famous mountains of Taoism and the first mountain in Western Sichuan. There is also the famous lyric, "Bai Suzhen is under Qingcheng Mountain".

Dujiangyan and Qingcheng Mountain are not far from each other, and can usually be visited in one day. Qingcheng Mountain is divided into the front mountain and the back mountain. Generally, tourists who come here for the first time go to the front mountain, while locals go to the back mountain for leisure hiking.

We also went to the front mountain. There are still battery cars in the scenic area. You need to take the battery car from the parking lot to the foot of the mountain (about 2 kilometers, you can also walk). The battery car has two stops in total, and one stop is directly to the high-speed rail station. (It costs 20 yuan to the high-speed rail station and 10 yuan to the parking lot.)

The overall climbing process: take the battery car to the foot of the mountain - check the ticket to enter the mountain - walk about 1 kilometer - Yuecheng Lake - take a boat (or walk) - cable car station, take the cable car (or continue walking) - the end of the cable car, walk - Shangqing Palace - Laojun Pavilion.

Go down the mountain and return along the original route.

Anyway, I took the cable car up, which took about an hour. If I climbed up, it would take more than 2 hours! Qingcheng Mountain has a lot of green vegetation and good air quality. I feel that its fame is greater than its scenery. As a famous Taoist mountain, it is not famous for its scenery! I must visit Shangqing Palace and Laojun Pavilion anyway. I also bought a small peach wood sword and a small gourd there.

Mount Qingcheng can be divided into the front mountain and the back mountain.

There are many Taoist temples on the mountain in front of Qingcheng. Incense smoke rises all day long, and the sound of Sanskrit is gentle and tortuous, winding around the beams.

The front mountain is the essence of Mount Qingcheng.

The scenery behind Qingcheng Mountain is profound and the trees are more dense, with streams, waterfalls, ancient villages, old trees, winding paths, beautiful water and green mountains.

The back mountain is a great place for meditation in Qingcheng Mountain.

Because we were not familiar with the geographical environment, we only went to the front mountain of Qingcheng.

The biggest feature of the front mountain of Qingcheng is that it has dozens of Taoist palaces and a large number of ancient relics. These cultural landscapes have gone through the changes of time and time, and they have been preserved intact, telling visitors the vicissitudes of history they have witnessed. These rich cultural relics, together with the pavilions, stone bridges, corridors and streams on the front mountain trail, are a model of the combination of nature and humanity, and are also the artistic crystallization of the long history and culture of Qingcheng Mountain and the magnificent natural scenery.

The morning trip to Dujiangyan is actually quite relaxing. The afternoon trip to Qingcheng Mountain is when your physical strength will be tested. Although you can take the cable car up, it still takes 20 minutes of hiking from the Qingcheng Mountain gate to the cable car location. After getting off the cable car, you still need to hike for about 15 minutes to reach the Qing Palace on the top of the mountain.

Enter from the mountain gate, climb the stairs, pass the Rain Pavilion, Natural Pavilion, Yile Wo, Yinsheng Pavilion, and you will arrive at the Natural Painting Studio, where you can feel the green surroundings of Qingcheng. The peaks, valleys, and palaces are all hidden in the lush green forests. Take the Qingcheng Mountain Cableway (at your own expense) to Shangqing Palace. The scenery along the way is still beautiful, but the climbing time is a bit long, so it is not suitable for people with poor physical strength.

It takes only a short drive from Dujiangyan to Mount Qingcheng. I was very tired after a few days of hiking. I climbed Huanglong, Jiuzhaigou, Mount Emei and Leshan. I was not interested in mountain climbing. I heard that the way to the top of Mount Qingcheng is not short and it is uphill all the way, so I just went in for a quick look and returned. Mount Qingcheng is known as the first mountain in Western Sichuan. It is a famous Taoist mountain in China and one of the birthplaces of Taoism in China. Since ancient times, people have used the word "secluded" to summarize the characteristics of Mount Qingcheng.

Travel Notes of Qingcheng Mountain ~ Taizai Town

Food prices are sky-high in front of the mountain, and here people are ruthless and only care about money;

Welcome them with a smile, and then put the trap in the trap with a clear price;

They say that if you go to Qingcheng Mountain, you will find many pitfalls.

Only by not eating, not stopping, and not asking for directions can you swim to the top!

By China-TravelNote users |

There weren't many people in the morning, and even though it was drizzling, it was still pleasant to walk on the road.

Mount Qingcheng is famous for its tranquility.

It is divided into two scenic areas, the front and back mountains. The front mountain is famous for being an important Taoist site, while the back mountain is famous for its natural landscape of strange peaks and rocks. Both places have their own merits.

The weather on that day was quite suitable for hiking. Although there were many people, the air was fresh. Some of the roads down the mountain were steep, narrow and slippery, so be careful of your feet.

I took a tour bus up the mountain at the foot of the mountain, and it happened to be the Luotian Da Fahui. As soon as I entered the gate, the scenery inside the mountain was breathtaking. Due to my poor literary accomplishment, only wow wow wow can express my feelings. The cable car went up the mountain, 35 one-way, 60 round trip. Then I walked along the mountain road to Laojun Pavilion and saw the floating clouds in the mountains, which were as misty as a fairyland.

I prefer Qingcheng Mountain to Dujiangyan Mountain in a day trip. Its tranquility and profoundness, accompanied by the Taoist idea of inaction, have always permeated this vicissitudes of life for thousands of years.

Thanks to Director Zhang for taking us to appreciate Qingcheng Mountain and Dujiangyan. We asked about the Qingcheng Mountain and worshipped the water of Dujiangyan. The explanation and guidance were in place, and the attitude was gentle and friendly. There was no shopping, just pure play. The cable car sightseeing car can be enjoyed. It was a good travel experience and I was happy. Dujiangyan and Qingcheng Mountain are good places worth visiting.

The front mountain is full of trees, but the scenery is not special. There are indeed many Taoist temples. Taoist friends who like to burn incense should like this place.

Worshiping the water of Dujiangyan and asking about the Dao in Qingcheng Mountain refer to the front mountain, while the most secluded Qingcheng in the world refers to the back mountain. If you want to experience the culture of Taoism, choose the front mountain. If you want to experience the most secluded Qingcheng in the world, go to the back mountain.

The best route to the back of Qingcheng Mountain is to go up the mountain along the right road from Tai'an Ancient Town, walk along Feiquangou, Baizhang Bridge, and come to Cuiying Lake. You need to take a boat to get there, and the fee is 2 yuan. After Cuiying Lake, the next is Shuiliandong, Tianqiao, and then you will come to Baiyun Cableway. If you don't want to continue walking here, you can take the cableway down the mountain to Youyi Village. The cableway ticket price is 45, 25 minutes. You don't have to climb to the top (there is basically no water on the way to Baiyun Ancient Village on the top of the mountain, and there is no good natural scenery). Go down the mountain and walk along the Longyin Gorge Plank Road and Wulonggou. In this way, the beauty of the back of Qingcheng Mountain is basically all included. There are not many places to play in the water on this side of the mountain, and the water, strange rocks, and beaches are not as good as those on the Feiquangou side. But the mountains are steep and strange, and the winding paths are quiet and wooded, which is unusual. Walking along the Longyin Gorge Plank Road is even more thrilling and amazing.

Qingcheng Mountain is good value for money. Qingcheng is the most secluded place in the world, and it really lives up to its name. Because the back mountain is closed, we went to the front mountain. As soon as we entered the mountain gate, the overwhelming green greeted us. It was cloudy and the air was humid. Every breath we took was filled with negative ion oxygen. If you have plenty of time, it is recommended not to take the cable car and climb the mountain by yourself. It is very good to go up and down two different roads.

After leaving the station, there is a bus to the ticket office at the back of Qingcheng Mountain, where we bought tickets. We contacted a local in advance. He opened a restaurant on the mountain and drove us to the foot of the mountain, and then we started climbing. Qingcheng Mountain has good scenery in general and is suitable for climbing. Sometimes it is steep and sometimes it is flat and wide. There are dense jungles and several bridges along the way. If you are tired, you can sit in the pavilion next to it for a while.

There are several waterfalls in the mountains, some flowing from dense bamboo forests, some from high cliffs; some cascading, some spraying; some like a white ribbon, some like a white lotus. I have always liked waterfalls, and there are streams where there are waterfalls. Most of them are misty. Just when you feel like you are floating in the air, the mist slowly disperses to reveal a bluestone path in the bamboo forest that leads to nowhere. The water droplets splashed by the rocks are like broken glass, shining like a rainbow under the refraction of sunlight. Some waterfalls pour down from high places into the streams, stirring up clusters of white flowers, which are extremely pure white. The surrounding air seems to be brightened by the white reflected light. The falling water drops seem to have added slow motion special effects, so slow that you can hear the sound of water drops from hitting the surface of the stream to splashing water drops and then slowly sinking. The whole person is much quieter next to the waterfall. I wonder if the ancients practiced in the mountains in the same way.

There are some stalls and houses along the way. Bacon should be considered a local specialty. Several houses we passed by were drying and selling it. The stalls sold fruits, grilled sausages, corn, and drinks. We bought a bottle of freshly squeezed orange juice. We saw the store owner guarding a large basin of oranges and selling them on the spot. The taste is definitely different from the concentrated juice mixed with water bought outside. It is not very sweet but has the natural taste of oranges. A bottle is about two and a half oranges, and it costs 15 yuan.

A famous Taoist mountain. It is also the song in the Legend of the White Snake: Bai Suzhen under the Qingcheng Mountain ~ cultivated this body in the cave for a thousand years ~

It is also the location of the Qingcheng Sect in "Swordsman". Peng Denghuai, who plays the Qingcheng Sect leader Yu Canghai in the mainland version of "Swordsman", is a native Sichuanese and a master of Sichuan Opera face-changing.

Qingcheng Mountain and Dujiangyan are both in Dujiangyan City, but my feelings about the two are as different as heaven and earth.

Walking on the road of Qingcheng Mountain, there are green trees on both sides, mountains in the distance are covered with forests, and the sky is green. The peaks, valleys, and palaces are all hidden in the lush green forests. The air is very fresh, and the gloomy air in my heart seems to be swept away. It is no wonder that such a spiritual place can breed a thousand-year-old snake demon like Bai Suzhen.

When you enter Qingcheng Mountain, you will find that the pavilions and towers of the Taoist temples are made of natural materials without any decoration, and they are integrated with the mountains, forests, rocks and springs, reflecting the Taoist style of advocating simplicity and nature.

Qingcheng Mountain is divided into the front mountain and the back mountain. If you want to visit both the front and back mountains in one day, you will need a certain amount of physical strength.

The front mountain is dominated by cultural buildings, which is the style of one of the four famous mountains of Taoism. The back mountain is mainly natural scenery. Because I have been to too many famous mountains and rivers, the back mountain did not attract me.

I only climbed the front mountain and didn’t buy a cable car ticket, so I hiked the whole way.

There is a very popular ballad called: Bai Suzhen under Mount Qingcheng. This ballad is also played at the entrance of the scenic spot, which is very touching.

After the tour, I think the natural scenery here is beautiful, beautiful and quiet. Qingcheng Mountain is imposing, but it is lower than other famous mountains and the climbing difficulty is not that great.

The scenic area is full of entertainment facilities. The peacocks and Qingcheng Mountain rocking chairs here are quite popular. Basically, someone goes up to take pictures every short time. Generally, it costs 5 to 10 yuan to take a picture. There are also some shops selling snacks and souvenirs nearby.

The air is really fresh, and there is no one!!! No need to queue up for the cable car and climb the mountain. When you reach the middle of the mountain, you can travel freely. You can choose to climb to the highest peak, Laojun Pavilion. After all, Qingcheng Mountain is not high, and the air is very good after the rain. There are no other groups, so it is easy to reach Laojun Pavilion. The Laojun Pavilion surrounded by fog is really beautiful. After we got down the mountain, tourists from other groups came one after another.

Because I didn't complete the itinerary of Dujiangyan Scenic Area on the afternoon of the first day, I couldn't visit the entire Qingcheng Mountain, including the front and back mountains. So in the existing time, I could only visit the front part of Qingcheng Mountain, so in order not to waste time, I went out to climb the mountain early in the morning.

Mount Qingcheng is divided into two scenic areas: the front mountain and the back mountain. The front mountain focuses more on the Taoist cultural landscape, while the back mountain has not been fully developed, so it is more natural and beautiful, with unique natural landscapes.

✨So, how to choose between the front mountain and the back mountain? ✨

If you come in winter, the vegetation in the back mountain is withered and the weeds are reborn. There is really nothing to see. For friends from outside the province, it may not be as special as Mount Emei. So at this time, just choose the front mountain. Of course, if you come in spring and summer, because the plants are lush and the water source is not dry, the scenery of the back mountain has always been well-known. So friends who come here may take some time to visit the back mountain. But in my personal opinion, as long as you come to Qingcheng Mountain, you must go to the front mountain. After all, the front mountain is the essence of the entire Qingcheng Mountain and the cultural center for understanding Qingcheng Mountain. If you come to Qingcheng Mountain, it would be a pity not to go to the front mountain. So whether to go to the back mountain depends mainly on whether you have enough time and whether you have enough time.

Qingcheng Mountain, a world cultural heritage, a world natural heritage (Sichuan Giant Panda Habitat), one of the four famous Taoist mountains in China, a national key cultural relic protection unit, a national key scenic spot, and a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction. Qingcheng Mountain is located in the southwest of Dujiangyan City, Chengdu, 68 kilometers east of Chengdu City, and 10 kilometers southwest of the Dujiangyan Water Conservancy Project. The master came to pick us up very early and sent us to the assembly point. We got on the nanny car on time, a small group of 18 people. The tour guide Xiao Yang was very enthusiastic and explained well during the tour, which made us understand a lot of history and knowledge points. She reminded us of safety issues many times, and she was a very good girl.

Because we were traveling with a group, we were not able to visit the back mountain, which is said to be worth a day. In fact, I think if you have enough time, you can spend a day at Dujiangyan and Qingcheng Mountain respectively. The scenery of Qingcheng Mountain is really beautiful and refreshing. People who have been living in the city for a long time should really go out and visit places like this more often.

Many celebrities have come to Qingcheng Mountain to cultivate their character, such as Zhang Daqian. Seeing the beautiful scenery can make literati more inspired.

Maybe it's because it's far away from the political center and far away from the culture itself. The cultural relics are perfectly preserved. Because I just went to Beijing before leaving, I felt that Beijing was not as attractive as Chengdu in terms of tracing back to the origins.

The author of the post was only concerned with sightseeing and did not take any beautiful photos. In short, Mount Qingcheng is still highly recommended.

Qingcheng Mountain is divided into the front mountain and the back mountain. The front mountain is mainly dominated by the Taoist temple (I didn't go there). We climbed the back mountain, which can be reached by following the navigation. I personally recommend parking the car at the P1 parking lot if you drive there. Although it is a bit far, it is fast and there is no traffic jam when you walk. The ticket to Qingcheng Mountain is 40 yuan. There is no electronic ticket, so you can only buy it at the tourist center. The overall tour time is 5 hours according to my own guide, and it is actually 8 hours (climbing up the mountain and moving down the mountain).

We originally wanted to sign up for a one-day tour to Mount Qingcheng on Bikego on China-TravelNote, but because there were so many people during the Chinese New Year period, the one-day tour was already fully booked, so we had to find a way to go on our own.

Regarding Mount Qingcheng, it is recommended to sign up for a one-day or two-day tour. It is not easy to buy the light rail ticket from Xipu to Mount Qingcheng during holidays. We bought the 11 o'clock ticket and only played for half a day. We spent a lot of time queuing. The sightseeing bus at the bottom of the mountain queued for 40 minutes, and the cable car up the mountain queued for 40 minutes.

With the title of National AAAAA-level tourist attraction, Global Taoist Tianshidao Holy Land, one of the four famous Taoist mountains in China, and one of the five immortal mountains, I can't help but look forward to it. I got up at 5 o'clock in the morning to brush my teeth, just to go there early to avoid the crowds and enjoy the legendary Taoist mountain.

Well, in the end, I was disappointed. It was actually a very ordinary mountain, not high (claimed to be more than 1,000 meters above sea level). I hurriedly watched the lights and had a quick look. There was nothing surprising. I also lost my cable car ticket on the way and had to buy a new one when I got off. The Moon Lake I encountered was even more of a pitfall. Fortunately, there is a Taoist culture hidden in it. I encountered the God of Wealth Temple, which needs to be specially pointed out because I hope my wish will come true.

I suggest you buy both the round trip ticket for the sightseeing bus and the round trip ticket for the cable car. The round trip ticket for the cable car is 60 yuan, and the single ticket is 35 yuan. The round trip ticket for the sightseeing bus is 20 yuan. Because even if you take both, you still have to walk an hour by yourself, and one hour is enough. If you don't buy it, you can do the whole journey like Bolt, Hhhh.

Most tour groups go to the front mountain because it is more famous, but the back mountain is more fun. But I only had one morning, so I only went to the front mountain, and the front mountain and the back mountain are completely separate, and the tickets are different. If you have time, you can spend a day to play the whole Qingcheng Mountain.

As soon as we entered Qingcheng Mountain, we felt much cooler and the temperature dropped a lot. There are dense trees in Qingcheng Mountain and the air is very fresh. I breathed in big gulps of oxygen.

We visited the front mountain of Qingcheng Mountain. People usually go to the back mountain. I don’t know why we didn’t go to the back mountain, but there was nothing we could do about it due to the itinerary arrangement. It felt great to take the cable car to the top of the mountain and look down.

The water in Qingcheng Mountain is extremely cool, just like ice water. The water upstream is also very clear. Wherever there is flowing water, it is like a natural air conditioner, and the air is very comfortable.

Qingcheng Mountain Dujiangyan Scenic Area, so beautiful! The weather is great and the clouds are very low

By Murong Jingxian |

Whether it is hearing or vision, Qingcheng Mountain gives people the most natural and fresh feeling. What you hear is the sound of leaves rubbing against each other, the sound of water flowing, the sound of birds singing, and the smell of soil is fresh and rich.

Most of the buildings here are inspired by nature, such as bamboo forests, rattan, tree bark, and tree roots, without any artificial modification. They blend in harmoniously with the surrounding mountains, forests, rocks, and springs.

Influenced by Taoist culture, the diet here focuses on health preservation and likes to use medicinal food. Kiwi wine is a must-try, with a sweet and sour taste, fresh and sweet.

Recommended tour route: Jianfu Palace - Yuecheng Lake - Cableway - Ciyun Pavilion - Shangqing Palace - Laojun Pavilion - (down the mountain)

The cable car costs 35 yuan for a one-way trip and 60 yuan for a round trip. The sightseeing bus costs 10 yuan, and the Yuecheng Lake boat ticket costs 5 yuan (the distance is not far and can be walked). Because there are so many people going to play, the queue for the cable car is also very long, so remember to reserve some time in advance.

Asked about Mount Qingcheng, ahhh, climbing the mountain is too tiring

By Walker |

The scenery of Qingcheng Mountain is very beautiful. If you like mountain scenery, it is a must-visit place

By The flowers are so red |

Take the sightseeing bus up the mountain (10 yuan per person one-way), or you can choose to walk about 2 kilometers. It is recommended to save your energy for the later part. After entering the scenic area, take the right-hand route to Yuecheng Lake, where you can take a boat to the opposite cable car point (5 yuan per person). I went around from the left and arrived at the same time as the boat. I bought a one-way ticket for the cable car (35 yuan per person). You can walk around on the right to go up the mountain. I don’t know if it is easy to walk, but I also recommend taking the cable car up the mountain because it requires energy later.

After the cable car reaches the top of the mountain, just follow the signs and climb up to the highest point, Laojun Pavilion. There are many cultural, historical and Taoist things involved. It is recommended to ask the tour guide for help. So far, we are on the same route as the tour group.

After returning to Donghua Temple, I went down the mountain from the left road. There are many small pavilions along the way. It is very good to see the history. There are small pavilions along the way to rest. The natural scenery is very good! Very very good! ! The photo is very bad but the scenery is really beautiful, especially the happy sunshine, golden and beautiful. Those with good physical strength can also choose to go up the mountain from this side. Anyway, I was exhausted walking down the mountain here.

Note:

1. Be sure to bring cash with you when visiting Qingcheng Mountain, as tickets for all attractions must be purchased in cash.

2. It is recommended to spend a whole day at Qingcheng Mountain. If you spend a day at Dujiangyan and Qingcheng Mountain, you won’t be able to see many good views.

The word "secluded" almost summarizes the characteristics of Mount Qingcheng. Therefore, the brand logo of Mount Qingcheng takes "secluded" as the main form, combining three incense sticks (Taoism) and the word "mountain", conveying the meaning of Mount Qingcheng as a "famous Taoist mountain" and the characteristic of "Qingcheng is the most secluded mountain in the world".

Qingcheng Mountain is divided into the front and back mountains. Considering physical fitness issues, I decided to only visit the front mountain.

Due to the impact of the earthquake, some buildings were rebuilt after the earthquake. People who just want to experience the cultural relics and historical sites may feel a little regretful, which also proves that you should travel early! Maybe one day you will be gone, or the beautiful scenery will disappear.

Qingcheng Mountain is very cool in summer and is a good place to escape the heat. Farmhouses are not expensive, about 150 yuan a night. Therefore, for a two-day tour of Dujiangyan and Qingcheng Mountain, you can also choose to visit Dujiangyan for half a day, visit the front mountain of Qingcheng Mountain for half a day, stay at the foot of Qingcheng Mountain, visit the back mountain of Qingcheng Mountain on the second day, and go down the mountain in the evening to take the intercity express back to Chengdu. Of course, this arrangement is only suitable for people with good physical strength. For those who are older and have limited physical strength, it is recommended to follow the route I recommend.

We took a sightseeing bus, a cruise ship, and a cable car. It was not tiring to climb the mountain if we took all three.

Qingcheng Mountain is mainly rich in Taoist culture.

You can arrange a tour with Dujiangyan, the scenery of the back mountain is also beautiful...

“Qingcheng is the most secluded place in the world” is truly worthy of its name. Walking on the mountain road in the morning can make one feel very peaceful.

As famous Taoist mountains, Qiyun has many strange peaks, peculiar rocks and secluded caves, while Qingcheng has many forests, paintings and palaces.

It was cool on the mountain, even a little cold.

By Ha ha |

There are front gate and back gate in Qingcheng Mountain. The main gate is easier to visit. According to the tour guide, local people often go through the back gate, which takes two days to complete, so I doubt it.

After crossing the lake, you can take the cable car. The cable car is not high, but the view is very beautiful. It’s just that you can’t see clearly when it rains.

The mountain is not high, and it only takes about two or three hours to go back and forth. Qingcheng Mountain is really a natural oxygen bar, and I don't want to leave.

This deserves full marks, the scenery is beautiful and the air is really good.

Our family signed up for a tour online, for a one-day trip to Dujiangyan and Qingcheng Mountain, purely for fun, with no shopping. Because we were short on time, the tour guide mobilized us on the way there and said that in order to save time, we would need to pay some transportation fees in addition to the registration fee, such as the Yulei Pavilion escalator, Qingcheng Mountain cableway, cruise ship, electric cars, etc., totaling 150 yuan per person. This was no problem, because the online introduction clearly stated that it was voluntary. I later figured it out, the price of the tour itself was not very high, and these fees were paid collectively by the tour guide, and there must have been kickbacks or discounts.

But many of the expenses are actually unnecessary. For example, the Qingcheng Mountain cruise only takes a few minutes to walk around the lake, which is faster than waiting for the boat. My child was not feeling well and did not go up the mountain, so I walked up by myself. It took me 1.5 hours to climb to Laojun Pavilion and then to Shangqing Palace, including two wrong routes, which delayed me by 10 minutes. It only took me 1 hour to go down the mountain. I am not a person who usually exercises much, so half a day is enough for me to climb Qingcheng Mountain by myself, which is much more interesting than taking the cable car back and forth.

By It's Si Tu Wa. |

The scenery is great, and it's a natural oxygen bar. The small bags of plums sold along the road are super delicious, sour and sweet. After going up the mountain, you can buy Dongtian milk wine, which is made from kiwi fruit as the main ingredient. People who don't drink can also try it.

Be sure to pay attention to the time: 8:30-17:00 in winter (December 1st-March 1st), 8:00-18:00 in spring, summer and autumn (March 2nd-November 30th).

By Four pieces of wood |

On the way down the mountain, we crossed many small bridges with many small animals carved on them.

Each one is round, consistent with the style of the little animals in the Wuhou Temple.

By Flowers Outdoor |

One of the four famous Taoist mountains, it is worth the trip. I came to Qingcheng Mountain after a rain, the air is very fresh, and I feel that this mountain is very spiritual!
