The First Bay of the Yangtze River is formed when the Yangtze River is blocked by the Hailuo Cliff in Shigu Town and turns into a V-shaped bend and flows northeast. Here you can see the magnificent landscape of the Yangtze River, Lancang River and Nujiang River flowing together.

Passing by here on the way from Lijiang to Benzilan, it is a very crowded scenic spot. We didn't even bother to look at it at that time.

However, there are many fruit trees and farmland nearby, so the fruits are very fresh and cheap. We bought a big bag of strawberries for 7 yuan, which were very sweet and delicious! There are also other fruits such as peaches, cucumbers, tomatoes, plums, etc. The cucumbers are also very fresh!

In fact, we passed this place again on the way back, but it might not be the same viewing point. The viewing point on the way back was the best, so we were able to take a close-up of the V-shape.

There is an observation deck on the side of National Highway 214, on a high-rise building. The view is not very good and you can't see much scenery. There are all kinds of stalls on the first floor. Not many people go there and there is no one charging upstairs. The toilets are priced uniformly worldwide, one dollar per person.

After breakfast, we drove from the north gate of Lijiang Ancient Town to the first bend of the Yangtze River.

The location is not easy to find, and the transportation is not very convenient. It is suitable for chartering or renting a car. And we saw many billboards of "Yangtze River First Bay Viewing Platform" along the way, and it is easy to go wrong. The correct location is just after entering Shigu Town. The inn on this viewing platform charges a mountain fee, which is also very casual. There are two of us, and they asked for 20 yuan per person, and they would not waive the mountain fee even if we ate at their house. In the end, we bargained and paid 15 yuan per person for the mountain fee. However, the scenery is really amazing!

Very stunning scenery. But you need luck. The color of the river changes with the season. Most importantly, you have to stitch the pieces together to get a panoramic view. 14mm is not enough.

You cannot see the entire First Bend of the Yangtze River from the place marked as the First Bend, nor can you see it by climbing up the toll tower. You have to go up the mountain.

It was still very spectacular, the water was flowing very fast, at that time I was thinking that if I fell in I would disappear in an instant.

I came to the first bend of the Yangtze River at a wrong time, so I didn't see the most beautiful moment. I heard from the locals that the river water is blue from November to April of the following year, but after April, the rainy season comes and the rain washes the mud from the upper mountains into the river, so the river water turns yellow. In fact, there was originally a small beach in the middle of the river, but now the river water has submerged the beach during the rainy season.

On the way from Lijiang to Tacheng, you will pass the First Bay of the Yangtze River. The scenery here is beautiful and pleasant, the river flows gently, and the river valley is wide, like a small Jiangnan.

A must-go place to Shangri-La, a rest and viewing spot

There is no entrance fee, but you need to climb about seven flights of stairs to reach the observation deck. At that moment, I was quite disappointed, after all, I didn’t see any scenery and was very tired.

Free attractions, worth a visit, very spectacular, but there is no need to spend time here alone, you can just visit it on the way

This attraction is free, but there is no good viewing platform. You can only see the magnificent scene of the first bend of the Yangtze River by aerial photography. Or you can enter Shigu Town and let the villagers take you to the small hill behind the village to take panoramic photos, which requires a fee.

The location for photographing the First Bend of the Yangtze River was not the so-called viewing platform led by the tour group, but on the back mountain of the shooting house in Shigu Town. November is not the flood season, so the First Bend photographed is a little thin.

Maybe it was because of the weather, I couldn't see how beautiful it was, it was foggy and I couldn't see where the bay was.

You have to go directly to the top of the mountain to see its true form.

It was a place called Shigu Town. The first house you enter is the best location. The owner led us through his house and then up the mountain along the narrow path. There were three platforms for shooting. Of course, you have to pay. Nine people paid 50 yuan in total. God is willing. The sky is clear, blue sky and white clouds, rape flowers are yellow, and the river water is clear. All the elements are there. Except that the wide angle is not wide enough, there is nothing to complain about.
