Manting Park is the oldest park in Xishuangbanna. It is a natural village-style park. Locals usually call it "Spring Joy Garden", which means the garden of the soul.
There are eight areas in the park, including the National Culture Square, the Lianas Area, the Tropical Orchid Garden, the Peacock Garden, the Buddhist Culture Area, and the Tree Planting Memorial Area.
There are more than 500 well-preserved ancient ironwood trees and vegetation in the park, as well as a bronze statue of Premier Zhou and two bodhi trees planted by the Thai princess when she visited Jinghong.
In addition, the evening "Lancang-Mekong River Night" performance and bonfire party are the biggest highlights of the park and are worth seeing.

It's in the city and relatively close to other attractions. I personally think you can buy a night ticket and enter the park on time to take a walk first, without having to play in the morning and evening separately. The buffet at the bonfire party is really not good, just barely enough to fill your stomach. The performance is anticlimactic, the beginning is amazing, but it becomes boring after watching it.
The water lanterns I had been looking forward to were also average, the lanterns were very poor, and you needed to donate merit to receive them. It was good that you could donate as much as you wanted.
Bonfire party is to dance "Baba dance" around the fire
Manting Park is located in the southeast of Jinghong City. It is the oldest park in Xishuangbanna with a history of more than 1,300 years.
This was originally the royal garden of the Dai King, called "Chunhuan" in Dai language, which means "Garden of the Soul".
In the evening, there will be a cultural performance "Lancang-Mekong River Night" and a bonfire party in the park. The tickets are different from those during the day. Tourists who buy tickets during the day will be cleared after 5 o'clock.
The scenery is nice, but the ticket price is too expensive... I bought a student ticket, but it's just an ordinary park, and it costs 40... Xishuangbanna is indeed a tourist city, food, accommodation, tickets, everything is expensive... It's more expensive than Chengdu. The Chengdu Zoo only costs 20 yuan for an adult ticket, it's big and there are many things to see... Not many people went today, so I took some good photos
Xishuangbanna | Take a boat tour of the former Dai King's Royal Garden🛶
🛶I didn’t want to spend the winter, so I came to Xishuangbanna for the Spring Festival. The sun was shining brightly, and the sun set at around 7 or 8 o’clock every day. It was perfect for a sunny girl like me!
🛶Xishuangbanna is located in the southernmost part of Yunnan, bordering Laos and Myanmar. The plains are mainly inhabited by the Dai people, who are actually of the same origin as the Thai people. You can often see Dai characters on the road, which are the same as Thai characters. The surrounding mountains, such as Nannuo Mountain, are inhabited by the Hani people, who make a living by growing tea.
🛶Manting Park is the largest park in the city. It is easy to get there by taxi or Didi. There is a large lake for releasing animals. You can row a boat for 90 yuan and 20 minutes. The tropical greenery is very rich and the waterscape is very beautiful. It is within reach~
🛶The buildings and temples inside are very similar to those in Thailand, so Xishuangbanna is a small Thailand. The food they eat is spicy and sour, and the taste is very similar to that of Thailand. Fairies who like tropical countries, come to the bowl quickly~

@SuperSuperGirl
There were too many people watching the performance at Manting Park in the evening. I estimated that there were about 1,000 or 2,000 people. There were several long lines. At the buffet, there was an old lady who looked like she had never eaten bananas before. She almost took away a whole plate. By the way, the bananas here are really fragrant.
There weren't many dishes in the buffet, and the fried tilapia was really unpalatable. But I couldn't let it go to waste, so I ate it all with gritted teeth.
The show had been going on for a long time but there were still many people coming in and out. There were patches of pale light from mobile phone screens. The quality of some Chinese people needs to be improved. The overall performance was okay. There was an interactive session in the middle, which I felt was a bit too much. There were also so many children on the scene, which needs to be discussed and improved.
After the performance, they released blessing lanterns. You had to pay, even if it was only a dime. After paying, you threw a dollar into the box, held the lantern in both hands, slowly walked to the river, made a wish, continued to walk forward, went around a circle back to the performance square, and followed the crowd around the bonfire.
Recommended playing time: 2-3 hours
Recommendation index: 4 stars
In the city, very close to the Splashing Water Square and can be reached on foot.
Walk around and there are many plants inside. You can see elephant performances here. There is a bonfire party in the evening, and you need to buy tickets separately.
Very convenient in the city, good environment and architecture, parrot show and elephant show, tickets are included, there are large peacocks in the primeval forest
It is located in the downtown area of Jinghong, and the transportation is very convenient. There is a famous Big Buddha Temple in the park. The buildings are all Dai-style buildings, which are very beautiful. There are also many plants in the park. Unfortunately, I went there in the afternoon when the park was about to close, and I missed the Royal Elephant Show and the Peacock Release. I personally think that if I had caught up with these two activities, there would be no need to go to the Forest Park and Wild Elephant Valley.
The staff here are all very nice. It is rare to see a good service attitude in a scenic spot.
Manting Park is not very big, and it only takes one or two hours to visit it.
There are regular parrot and elephant performances in the park.
In comparison, the elephant show attracted me more, so I calculated the time of the show and went to the park to play.
We walked and stopped along the way to take pictures, and arrived at the elephant performance place just fifteen minutes before the show started.
Elephants are an animal I like very much. They are huge, powerful, yet docile and harmless, which makes people feel dependent on them.
The elephants performing in the park are well-trained, docile and warm, and it's easy to fall in love with them.
Although I like elephants and the performance went smoothly,
But it is conceivable that they must have been whipped during the training process to become so obedient.
I hope there will be fewer entertainment activities that exploit animals, and that every life can be respected.
Another thing I have to complain about is the sight of middle-aged women holding their phones and leaning forward during the performance.
The host even interrupted the show several times to stop the aunties from standing in front and blocking other audience members.
Emmm...the quality is worrying.
I was originally planning to go to the Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences today, but after looking at the itinerary, I decided to leave it for the last day. Today I only went to Manting Park. It used to be the royal garden of the Dai King in Xishuangbanna. Legend has it that when the Dai Queen came to visit, the beautiful scenery here attracted the soul of the Queen, hence the name.
Manting Park is not very big, but it is very unique. It seems that the unique tropical park scene of Xishuangbanna is fully reflected here. The ticket is 49 yuan, which is OK. There are battery cars in the park, which are suitable for the elderly. The ticket price is 40 yuan. As long as it is not particularly inconvenient, the battery car is completely unnecessary.
Although the park is not big, the scenery is pleasant, and the tropical rain forest is reflected everywhere. In the drizzle, walking on the winding path, the quietness and silence immediately make people feel much more comfortable. It is as if a traveler from the bushes has come to relax here. The air is filled with a faint floral fragrance, intoxicating.
Maybe it was because of the rain, there were not many visitors in the park, making the environment more beautiful and quiet.
There is no hustle and bustle and crowds like in city parks. You can stroll around or sit in the pavilion, looking at the flowers, trees, bridges and flowing water, listening to the birds singing, and all the fatigue from days of running around will be swept away. There is nothing like the feeling of contentment that you have experienced before.
This was a completely relaxing day with no other plans.
There are also parrot and elephant performances in Manting Park, so just pay attention to the timing.
Here you can see the magnificent palace of the King of Dai and imagine his glory at that time. Not only the cultural architecture here is exquisite, but the natural landscape is also fascinating.
The park is not big and there is no need for electric cars. Two hours was enough for us to arrive before four o'clock. We walked around and went to the Zong Buddhist Temple, which took a total of two hours. The Zong Buddhist Temple is just behind Manting Park and is free to enter, but if you want to return to the park, you must keep the ticket for future reference.
Some tickets do not include park tickets, and you can only wait until the park reopens at 6:30 in the evening. If you want to play Manting during the day, you must check whether it is an evening party ticket or a park ticket.
The show started at around 7:40. It was actually folk songs and dances, but there was an interaction with the audience. The host was very humorous, and the audience was very happy, so this part was the most interesting. The whole show lasted for two hours. Originally, we were supposed to release river lanterns after the show, but it rained these two days, the water level rose, and it was not suitable for releasing river lanterns. There was also some light rain, so there was still a bonfire party in the theater and outside. We had participated in the bonfire party in Shuhe before and went back to sleep.
Manting Park is located in the southeastern suburb of Xishuangbanna, about 2 kilometers from the city center. It is the oldest park in Xishuangbanna (with a history of more than 1,300 years). The Dai people usually call it "Chun Huan" (meaning "Garden of the Soul"). The park was originally the royal garden of the Dai King. It was rebuilt and opened in 1982. It integrates the three characteristics of the Dai royal culture, Buddhist culture and Dai folk culture. The park preserves historical and cultural landscapes such as the bronze statue of Premier Zhou participating in the Water Splashing Festival in 1961, the Zongfo Temple (Southern Buddhism Cultural Center) that imitates the Manfeilong White Pagoda, and the ruins of the Dai King's Palace. At the same time, there are primitive ecological areas such as ironwood forests and vine plant areas, and animals such as peacocks are raised. The park holds Dai song and dance performances (9:00/15:00) and the evening "Lancang-Mekong River Night" song and dance bonfire party (including ethnic meals) every day. Tickets are 40 yuan during the day/280 yuan at night (including performances). The opening hours are 8:00-18:00 (daytime)/18:30-21:40 (nighttime). The park is the same as the main Buddhist temple, and the main Buddhist temple is free, so you can visit them together.
The gate of Manting Park is the Manting Imperial Garden Scenic Area, which is said to be the oldest park in Xishuangbanna. Locals call it the Spring Joy Garden. The park has ethnic cultural squares, vine plant areas, tropical orchid gardens, peacock gardens, Buddhist cultural areas, tree planting memorial areas and other areas. There are more than 500 ancient ironwood trees in the park, as well as a bronze statue of Premier Zhou and a bodhi tree planted by the Thai princess when she visited Jinghong. In addition, the evening "Lancang River • Mekong River Night" art performance and bonfire party are the biggest highlights of the park. Daytime tickets are 40 yuan/person (clearance at 5 pm), and evening "Lancang River • Mekong River Night" art performance and bonfire party tickets are 280 yuan +/person (A ticket is 280 yuan/person, VIP ticket is 380 yuan/person, including buffet, indoor performances, water lanterns, bonfire party).
The palace and imperial garden of the Dai king in the past are lush and green. The water splashing festival that the prime minister and the masses celebrated last week took place here. The 40 yuan ticket also includes an elephant and parrot show, which is very good. It is connected to the Xishuangbanna Main Buddhist Temple, so you can visit it together.
The park is not far from the city. It takes only ten minutes to get there by Didi, and it is ten kilometers away. It opens at 8:00. We came at this time because there were few people there. After 10:00, there were more people.
It is said to be the back garden of the Dai princess. The park is quite large. It takes about one or two hours to walk around and take photos. Wearing Dai costumes is also very suitable for taking photos. The Royal Elephant Cafe by the lake and the White Pagoda near the Zong Buddhist Temple are the most photogenic. These two places are also the most crowded. When I arrived at 10 o'clock, I had to queue up or find an angle to take photos. There is a back door in Manting that is connected to the Zong Buddhist Temple, and no tickets are required.
Although Manting Park and Zongfo Temple are adjacent to each other, you will find a significant change in scenery once you enter the park. The vegetation here is lush and green, with delicate white pagodas as a minor embellishment. The river god playing in the water is collecting rain from the sky and blessing all things, so the calamus becomes greener, the bamboo becomes taller, and even the fish swimming in the water become happier.
The spire that I discovered by accident is my favorite building. It was originally white, but time has added black spots to it. With this decoration, it blends in with the surrounding natural environment.
The ancient tree is tied with red ribbons of blessing, making it a special sight, and we have also contributed our part to it.
The cruise ships in the release lake come and go, but the fish are not affected at all. They stick their mouths out of the water to look for food. As long as someone feeds them, they come in groups, forming a huge storm of shoving and pushing.
After crossing the bridge, a field of lotus flowers attracted me. Although the flowering season has passed, the lotus pods are still worth seeing, and the dense lotus leaves make pedestrians on the road look like they are walking through a lotus pond.
There are two animal shows in Manting Park, one featuring cute Asian elephants and the other featuring naughty parrots. Maybe our expectations were too high, the show was not as exciting as we imagined. The elephant missed the goal three times in a row, and the parrot didn't know where it threw the ball. But on second thought, facing so many tourists, it is not easy for them to increase the number of performances every day. As spectators, we not only make strict demands, but sometimes we are reluctant to buy snacks to feed them.
The rain in the tropical rainforest climate will not fail to rain every day, and today's rainstorm also arrived as expected. I like this kind of short-term heavy rainfall very much. It can make people feel cool and bring gentle sunshine after the rain. The sunlight shines through the dense woods and projects onto the ground, and this invisible thing has a shape. The crystal raindrops on the lotus leaves are like a stroke of genius from nature, as if round diamonds are held in a jasper plate. The red dragonfly flies over to add a touch of bright color to the picture. When my daughter saw this scene, she couldn't help singing: "The little lotus has just revealed its pointed corners, and there are already dragonflies standing on top."
After returning, my friends asked me where in Xishuangbanna was worth visiting. Our answer was always “If you can only choose one place in Xishuangbanna, it must be Manting Park”.
Manting Park gathers all the essence of Xishuangbanna. You can see elephants in Manting Park without going to the Wild Elephant Valley; you can see many tropical plants without going to the Chinese Academy of Sciences Botanical Garden; you don’t need to go to other temples, the Zongfo Temple is right next to it...
Manting Park was the back garden of the ancient Dai King. In modern times, many great men have visited here. The garden design concept here is similar to that of Suzhou and Hangzhou, but I personally feel that it is simpler than Suzhou and Hangzhou, and with the Dai customs, it has a completely different flavor. There are elephant performances in the park at fixed times, which can interact with the audience on site. However, it can be seen that the attitude of the staff is not very friendly. They directly scold some unruly tourists without mercy, and this is not only the case in this scenic spot, but also in other scenic spots.
Manting Park is our first stop after arriving in Xishuangbanna. The architecture is very distinctive. It used to be the royal garden of the Dai King and has a history of more than 1,300 years. The scenic area embodies the three major themes of "Dai royal culture, Buddhist culture, and Dai folk culture". Manting Park is the oldest park in Xishuangbanna.
A must-visit place when you arrive in Xishuangbanna. It is recommended to go during the day!
It is the most impressive scenic spot in Jinghong City. The environment is very good, very suitable for taking a walk and enjoying the southern scenery.
Manting Park is the oldest park in Xishuangbanna with a history of more than 1,300 years. It used to be the royal garden of the Dai King of Xishuangbanna.
The Dai Palace is a magnificent park in Banna. It is connected to the main Buddhist temple and is crowded with tourists.
The pho here is delicious and the welcome ceremony is very warm
There are also authentic specialties
There are also wonderful performances to watch, and the host is great
The dance is great
It used to be the royal garden, where there were elephant shows and bonfire shows. It is a must-see attraction in Xishuangbanna.
It is worth visiting the tropical rainforest and exotic scenery.
Manting Park, which used to be the royal garden of the Dai King, has a history of more than 1,300 years.
The former royal garden of the Dai King - Manting Park in Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture.
It's not too big or too small, and you can finish the visit in about two or three hours. I went there basically to see the buildings and the flowers and plants. The ticket is 35 yuan per person, and you can stay there for the whole afternoon if you walk, stop and take pictures. There is also an elephant show inside, but I didn't think there was anything special about it otherwise.
Manting Park is not big. I don't know why there are so many electric cars in such a small place. You have to avoid cars when walking! The plants and flowers inside are okay, and the overall scenery is average. The best thing is the Zong Buddhist Temple, which is magnificent and free. If there is no Zong Buddhist Temple, I guess Manting Park tickets will not be sold!
Manting Park is very close to Gaozhuang Shuangjing, and the trees in the park are lush! The lake is green, and you can see elephant performances from the inside, which are very cute and silly! The ticket is 40 yuan, and the ticket is half price for people over 60 years old! The park can be visited in two hours on foot, and it is recommended not to take the tram! I heard that there are bonfire performances at night! Recommended
It is a little more touristy than the city park. You can see elephants and ride electric boats.
It is said to be the Royal Garden of the Dai King. It has no special features. The ticket is 30 yuan per ticket, which is not expensive. There are regular performances of Dai King's sacrifice. I personally feel that the actor who plays the Dai King looks like Zhang Yida.
The park is very large, with parrot shows and elephant shows, and you can also pay to ride an elephant. If you plan to go to the Wild Elephant Valley, it is not recommended to ride here. The park is connected to the Zong Buddhist Temple, so if you have enough time, you can visit both attractions at the same time.
I personally think it's worth a visit ~ The Dai ethnic group has a unique garden scenery, and there are many small scenic spots worth taking photos! When there are few people, sit on the grass next to the White Pagoda to bask in the sun, and go to Impression Coffee to buy a lemon fresh pear juice. It's very lazy and the scenery is beautiful.
The park is average, but the evening show is worth watching. The water curtain at the end is amazing.
It's a great park, I like it very much. There are so many plants and flowers in it, as well as magnificent temples and performances to watch.
Manting Park costs 40 yuan, and children and senior citizens are free. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the bonfire party.
The building is very, very good. It is absolutely exquisite.
Manting Park is located in the central area of Jinghong City. It has pleasant scenery and unique architectural style. It is an excellent place for taking photos. In my opinion, it is a must-visit attraction in Banna.
There are very few people at the gate of Manting Park in the afternoon, which is the advantage of traveling during off-peak hours.
Green grass, white buildings, and lush flowers make you feel like you are in a foreign country.
There are elephant performances in Manting Park. We watched them for a while. To be honest, these animal performances sometimes make me feel uncomfortable. Driven by humans, elephants do all kinds of actions to please the audience, just for a bite of food, or even to avoid punishment. There could be better ways to let children and tourists get close to elephants, but I don't agree with the choice of juggling for entertainment.
Manting Park, also known as Manting Royal Garden, was the back garden of the former Dai King. It runs along a tributary of the Lancang River and is very beautiful. As soon as you enter the gate, you will see palaces in the shape of various Buddhist temples. After many renovations, it feels particularly majestic and beautiful. Inside, there are white towers, red-walled temples, and various popular photo-taking spots. There will be elephant and parrot performances, which are not bad. The ticket is 50 yuan, which is great. #In fact, it is said that you can go around from the main Buddhist temple and don’t have to pay for the ticket. #
The daytime tickets of Manting Park and the bonfire party at night are operated separately. The park operates park tickets during the day and bonfire parties at night. If you want to enter the park before 18:00, you need to buy the daytime tickets of Manting Park to enter the park. The night tickets must be purchased separately.
The scenery in the park is very nice, very local, and it is a good place to take pictures! There are parrot shows and elephant shows during the day, which are not very interesting and can be used to kill time. The performances at night are very good, very ethnic, and worth seeing! When I went there, it was off-season. Starting from Gaozhuang, I took a taxi for 11 yuan and arrived in about 15 minutes. It is recommended to buy tickets for tickets and performances at the door. They are not very expensive in the off-season. Ordinary tickets are 30, VIP80, and a buffet is also included, which tastes good! The daytime visit takes 2-3 hours, and the evening performance starts at 7:30 and lasts for almost 2 hours. After the end, there are river lanterns and bonfire parties! (Tips: The park is connected to the Zong Buddhist Temple, which is free. If the travel agency tells you that you can buy a park ticket to visit the Zong Buddhist Temple, it is to charge you more money)
A quiet place in a chaotic city. There are no big surprises in the small garden. Some Thai-style buildings. The elephant show is slightly worse than the Wild Elephant Valley.
A place you will regret whether you come or not. If you don't come, you will regret missing the beauty here and beat your chest and stamp your feet; if you come, you will be jealous of how God can be so partial that the beauty here can never be replicated in your hometown!
Just take some random photos here. Anyway, there are trees, flowers and plants. Anyway, no matter how you take photos, they are not as good as the real scene you see with your eyes; anyway, no matter how you take photos, the ugliest thing in the shot is that person!
There are also elephant performances here. To be honest, compared with the elephant performances in the Wild Elephant Valley, the elephants here are not only dressed up, but also obviously feel happier and more lively. Their big ears keep flapping, and their four big legs keep dancing their tap dance steps, looking very happy.
They can jump, kick, and massage, and they can even act cute after doing a handstand. They are so adorable that you want to take them home and raise them.
Don't expect too much when watching elephant performances. There are only 3 performances in Manting Park. If you want to see more elephant performances, it is recommended to go to the Wild Elephant Valley. It is also very pleasant to stroll in the Royal Garden of the Dai Emperor.
The park is not big, but the scenery is nice. You can watch elephant and parrot shows. I personally don't think you need an electric car, it only takes 20 minutes to walk.
Manting Park in the city. The architecture inside is, if I may be frank, very similar to many buildings in Thailand. It is a very relaxing park. The only downside is that it charges 50 yuan for admission. In my opinion, the park should be open to the public for free, so that everyone can have more leisure time after dinner and have a place to relax with tea. The park, which is kept by tourists, has an elegant environment, is spacious and quiet, but it lacks a little integration with the city and a little human touch.
The park is not very big. You can ride the electric car for free with a full ticket. You can walk around it in 3 hours. The architecture feels very similar to Thailand. The performance is average. The cost performance is not very high. There is interactive dancing. Riding an elephant is cheaper. It only costs 50 yuan for a round trip.
After returning from Jinuo Villa in the afternoon, we went to Manting Park and had a buffet dinner there. Then we went to watch the Mekong Night Song and Dance Show, which was a song and dance performance by ethnic minorities, and the host explained the living habits and characteristics of ethnic minorities. After the show, there will be a bamboo lantern event and a bonfire party at the release lake, but I didn't go because of time constraints. Please help me experience it.
I really recommend you to come to Manting Park when you come to Xishuangbanna. It is really beautiful. There are few people and the scenery is beautiful.
It is in the downtown area of Jinghong, close to Gaozhuang, and the taxi costs 10 yuan. It is actually the Imperial Garden, with very nice scenery, a good walk and suitable for taking photos. The elephant and parrot performances are very ordinary, and we didn't watch them at all. Two or three hours is more than enough.
I bought a ticket on China-TravelNote for 39 per person, including the ticket and the electric car, not much, as shown in the picture above. China-TravelNote is very powerful. I suggest you look for it on China-TravelNote first.
I got the ticket from the local innkeeper. The scenic area plus the battery car cost 50 yuan per person. Maybe I went there a little early. It was very hot and sunny and I didn't feel like playing. There is only one Buddhist temple, which is very small. The elephant show is not very interesting. If you have enough time, you can go and waste it.
Jinghong Zongfo Temple is located near Manting Park in Jinghong City and is the center for Buddhists to worship Buddha in Xishuangbanna.
The temple is located in a rectangular courtyard with the gate at the west end of the north side. The current total area of the temple is 3,000 square meters, with a construction area of about 1,000 square meters. It consists of the Buddha Hall "Weihan", the Buddhist College Teaching Building, "Posu" (literally translated as Lotus Peak Pavilion), and the monks' quarters "Hongnuan".
Manting Park can be said to be the most famous park in Jinghong City. I vaguely remember that there was no entrance fee. The river runs through the entire park. There are unique Buddhist buildings, corridors and walkways similar to those in Jiangnan, and even elephant performances.
After all, it is the royal garden of the Dai King. Its style is somewhat similar to the Buddhist temple in the Dai Garden, but it is more luxurious. The area here will be cleared around 5:30 pm, and ticket checking will start at 6:30 to enter and watch the song and dance evening (tickets for visiting the park during the day and the bonfire party at night are sold separately, or you can buy a package ticket). There are people all the way.
Manting Park was originally the residence of the royal family. There is a beautifully built temple in the park, which feels not much different from the ones taken in Thailand. There are animal performances in the park at different times, including parrots and elephants. The park is not very particular about the time period to visit, about an hour and a half is enough.
Manting Park, worthy of being called the back garden of the Dai King, is the most beautiful of the several scenic spots I have visited so far, including its architecture and plants. As you enter the gate, you will see a bronze statue of Premier Zhou, which is to commemorate the Premier's Water Splashing Festival in Xishuangbanna that year.
The tickets for Manting Park are divided into daytime and nighttime, which include the park's battery car, a simple Dai buffet (at first I thought it was some kind of banquet, just a large canteen that can accommodate hundreds of people. Dai food is mainly grilled, and all are sweet, sour and spicy. Basically, grilled food was the main food during the few days in Banna), and the Mekong River Bonfire Party (a must-see theater. The artistic performance brings together the cultural characteristics of the six countries in the Lancang-Mekong River Basin, namely China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. It also includes folk performances of the six ethnic minorities living in Xishuangbanna Prefecture, namely the Dai, Jinuo, Bulang, Lahu, Yao and Hani. The whole evening party combines ethnic customs, exotic scenery, and humorous on-site interactions. It shows the audience a Xishuangbanna full of diverse cultures).
After the performance, people hold a water lantern in their hands, walk through a dark forest, make a wish in their hearts, and slowly release it into the release lake. The water waves carry the water lanterns with the good wishes of the lantern-releasing people and slowly drift towards the center of the lake. Later, there are girls and boys from various ethnic minorities in Xishuangbanna dancing and reveling around the bonfire, feeling the passion and unrestrainedness of ethnic minorities.
There were not many people when we went there. The park was very quiet, the air was moist, the birds were singing, the flowers were fragrant, and there were elephant and parrot performances.
There are peacock gardens, freeing lakes and other attractions in Manting Park. You can enjoy elephant shows and parrot shows. The famous Mekong River bonfire party is also held here. However, I am not very interested in the performances. I would rather go to the night market. When I went there, I happened to catch the last elephant show.
During the Water Splashing Festival, traffic is basically paralyzed because everyone is walking. There will be a fair in the park, similar to our temple fair. Many people sell homemade things, mostly barbecue and other foods. The park advocates the natural scenery of the tropical climate and the characteristics of Buddhism. ps: You will meet a Dai girl on the road, very beautiful
Manting Park used to be the royal garden of the Dai King. The buildings here are very similar to those seen in Thailand, and there is also the famous Zong Buddhist Temple.
They actually raise tilapia as ornamental fish here. I remember that the grilled fish were all tilapia. When tourists fed them, the fish immediately gathered in schools, which was quite spectacular. There were also black swans coming to grab food, and I also had a close contact with the black swans.
At the innermost part of the park are elephant and parrot shows, which are free to watch and cost to take photos with.
The park is not very big, but the scenery is beautiful and the buildings are very distinctive.
I don't know why this park is so popular. I found it's really average when I went there. If you don't go there to look at the plants during the day, it will be really boring. At first, I thought there was no limit on the number of times you can visit the scenic spot, but it turns out you can only take three rides. The parrot shows and elephant shows are very small and not very professional. However, compared with the two, most people still prefer elephants. I personally think that those who train elephants are a bit cruel. I don't know what professional training is like, but I intuitively feel that the baby elephants are a bit naughty. When the elephant trainer hits it, it will cry. The cry is a bit painful. Reflect on yourself. If there is no buying and selling, there is no killing. Try not to watch this kind of performances. Then let's talk about the highlight of the evening party, the lantern bonfire party. If you have seen ethnic performances, this is really ordinary. The lanterns will look better in photos. It's a very simple ritual. Compared with the festival of releasing water lanterns and praying for blessings, it simply has no beauty, not to mention piety. The bonfire party is indeed spectacular, but it doesn't have any ethnic customs. In summary, it can't be more average.
It used to be the royal garden of the Dai King. It was magnificent.
Manting Royal Garden used to be the back garden of the Dai King. It has a history of more than 1,300 years and is the oldest park in Xishuangbanna.
Entering from the main gate is the National Culture Square, in the middle of which is a commemorative bronze statue of Premier Zhou participating in the Water Splashing Festival in Xishuangbanna in 1961.
Facing the bronze statue of Premier Zhou and walking to the right, you will find the ethnic dance hall and ethnic restaurant, where the "Lancang-Mekong River Night" performance is staged every evening. After the performance, wishing lanterns are released in the release pond, and then there is a lively bonfire party.
The park is filled with the atmosphere of Southeast Asia. The park is very large, at least much larger than the Imperial Garden of the Forbidden City. There are many buildings in the park, all in the same style, giving people the feeling that it is a bit like a royal palace, but most of these buildings were built later.
Compared with the architecture, Manting Park is more famous for its scenery and plants. There are countless tropical plants, hills and rivers in Manting Park. Sitting on the corridor beside the release lake and feeling the breeze will make you feel relaxed.
When you slow down to appreciate every little scenery, look at every flower and every tree, you may find different little surprises.
The park is not very big, and I don't think there is any need for electric cars in the park. I watched a parrot show, which was just a little parrot riding a bicycle, which was not very interesting. Maybe because I have already visited the botanical garden, the flowers and plants here are not very attractive to me.
Xishuangbanna is so hot!!! Manting Park is very small, and there are very few tourists inside. There is really nothing to see except some plants. I was so sleepy inside that I really wanted to lie down on a chair and sleep. There was an elephant show around 14:40 in the afternoon, and a parrot show around 15:40. The time was quite short, about 10 minutes. If it weren't for these two performances, I would have left the park long ago. Behind it is the Zong Buddhist Temple, which does not require a ticket. You have to go back to Manting Park and show your ticket again!
Manting Park, located in the center of Jinghong City, is a great place to experience exotic customs.
You can take a battery car to visit Manting Park. Of course, the park is not very big and you can also walk there. It depends on your personal situation.
The entire Imperial Garden has magnificent buildings, rich vegetation, lush growth, koi jumping and shining in the pond, and black swans gracefully dancing. You can't help but feel like returning to nature, and deeply feel the prosperity of the former Dai Dynasty, which is pleasing to the eyes and refreshing.
Manting Park, also known as Manting Royal Garden, was once the royal garden of the Dai King and has a history of more than 1,300 years. The scenic area embodies the three major themes of "Dai royal culture, Buddhist culture, and Dai folk culture". Manting Park is the oldest park in Xishuangbanna. The Dai people used to call it "Chunhuan", which means "Garden of Souls". Legend has it that when the Dai princess came to visit, the beautiful scenery here attracted the princess' soul, hence the name.
Very good, the ticket booked on China-TravelNote is very cost-effective. There are many things included, very worthwhile, the performance is also very good, better than the one we had in Vietnam, there are also water lanterns, bonfire parties, water lanterns are free, merits are optional, the beautiful woman who takes the tickets is also very enthusiastic, the tickets are issued very quickly, this order can be obtained immediately, this is very efficient, give a thumbs up \(≧▽≦)/
The park is very elegant, a typical subtropical garden with many beautiful Chinese plants and trees. There are also Buddhist activities such as releasing animals and writing prayer cards. The beautiful scenery and Buddhist nature complement each other. There are also interesting elephant and parrot performances. However, the park is small and you can probably finish walking around it in about an hour.
The price/performance ratio of Manting Park is relatively high. The ticket is 54 yuan. Master Xu helped me get a discount ticket of 50 yuan (only for chartered cars and self-driving cars). The bonfire party also got a discount price. This time I chose to charter a car to travel freely in Xishuangbanna. It was very convenient. The service attitude was good and very enthusiastic. If you need it, you can contact him on WeChat: ii_tour. Manting Park is located in the city, which is relatively convenient in terms of transportation. There is also a Zongfo Temple at the side door, which has many Buddha statues. No tickets are required for the Zongfo Temple.
Legend has it that it was the back garden of the Dai King. Indeed, the scenery is beautiful and the trees are shady. As our first stop after arriving in Banna, it is still very pleasing to the eye.
It is very close to the Big Buddha Temple. I suggest you go there and then avoid the Main Buddha Temple because the ticket price is expensive and not worth it.
You can watch an elephant show at 4:30 pm, and then you can walk around and watch singing and dancing performances and a bonfire party. In particular, there is an event where tens of thousands of people release river lanterns, which is super awesome!
