The development level here is higher than that of Dongfushan Island, and the commercial atmosphere is stronger. Miaozihu Island is the largest of the four islands, and boat tickets are purchased to Miaozihu Island. From Miaozihu, you can take a small boat to Qingbang and Dongfushan Island.

The boat from Shenjiamen to Miaozihu is a big boat. The ticket is divided into 100 yuan for the bottom cabin, 130 yuan for the middle cabin, 150 yuan for the upper cabin and berth. You can move around freely in the bottom cabin and the middle cabin, but you cannot go to the upper cabin because there will be someone guarding it. If you are seasick, it is recommended to buy the bottom cabin and the middle cabin, so that the bumps will be less. The whole journey is about two hours. Be mentally prepared before departure to prevent seasickness.

The bottom cabin looks like. The bottom cabin is a little bit more crowded, but not crowded. There will be a notice on the radio after arriving at Miaozi Lake, so listen carefully and don't go in the wrong direction. After buying a boat ticket to Dongfushan Island, you can directly transfer from the big boat to the small boat without going ashore for a second security check. From the time the boat docked to the time it changed to the small boat, the staff on the boat kept reminding the direction, but in the end, some tourists going to Qinghama still took the wrong boat.

There is a shuttle bus at the entrance of the pier. The Miaozi Lake Island Tour can be completed in one hour by taking the shuttle bus, and the fare per person is 50 yuan.

Compared with the small-scale stalls on Dongfushan Island and Qingbang Island, the seafood stalls on Miaozihu Island really have the feeling of a street of stalls in the city. Most of the stalls are divided into two sides by the road, and one side displays various fish, shrimps, crabs and shellfish. Unlike other cities where the seafood stalls are naturally open at night, the seafood stalls on Miaozihu Island are open from 8 or 9 in the morning until late at night, serving breakfast and supper. Fishing boats docked at the port, and a steady stream of freshly caught seafood replenished the ingredients in the store. As long as you go to the stalls, you can eat the fresh taste of the sea. But the popularity and traffic brought to the island by "See You Tomorrow" are real, which is also part of the reason why Miaozi Lake has become the island with the strongest tourist commercial atmosphere among the Dongji Islands.

Miaozi Lake Island is not big, and it takes more than a whole day to hike around the entire island. We were led by local people and walked the upper and lower peninsulas in two and a half days, taking photos as we walked and listening to local stories.

TIPS: If you feel that hiking is too tiring, you can buy a ticket for the island sightseeing electric car. When you are tired, go to the designated pick-up point and you can ride the car as many times as you want on the same day. I think it costs 50 yuan (probably).

My first impression of Miaozi Lake was that it was crowded with people. The coastal buildings of Miaozi Lake were more beautiful. As soon as I got off the boat, I could clearly see the island sightseeing buses soliciting passengers.

Boat tickets from Dongfushan to Miaozi Lake can be purchased on site for 30 yuan per person. Since we are traveling off-peak, we know that tickets will be easy to buy. We just need to queue up on site and it will take about 10 minutes to reach Miaozi Lake.

We bought a sightseeing bus around the island for 50/person. We can get off when we arrive at the scenic spot and continue sitting after we finish visiting the scenic spot. The whole trip took about 2 hours.

It is not recommended to walk around the island because it is really big. Although there are big docks, the roads here are very casual. If you want to go up, you can go up directly, and if you want to go down, you can go down a very steep slope.

The lighthouse has a great view and is worth a visit.

Other islands require walking, only Miaozi Lake has a sightseeing bus for 50 yuan per person, which goes around the island and you can get on and off as you like, stop as you go, which is very cost-effective for lazy people. Because it is close to the beach, the color of the sea water here is different and there is a clear dividing line. The stone houses on the roadside of Miaozi Lake Village in the early morning are too curious. After entering, you can see the sea through the window.

In summer, the water and the sky are the same color. We start our hike around the island, passing by the statue of God of Wealth, the red and white pagodas, and climbing up the slope. There is a route around the island, so we just walk along it, stopping here and there to quietly appreciate the beautiful sunset.

Miaozi Lake is better developed than Dongfushan. You can walk there or take a bus. The bus goes very fast and goes around the island, and you can see all the scenic spots. The bus will stop at each scenic spot. Those who want to play can get off and play, and those who don’t want to get off can continue to do so. As long as you have a ticket, you can take any bus.

On the way, I saw the house that was blown up in the movie Endless. Only the middle one was left of the three houses.

Miaozihu Island is the main island of Dongji Town. It is much more prosperous than Dongfushan Island. There are supermarkets, bars, bookstores, schools, hospitals, farmers' markets, food stalls and so on. It is said to be a circle around the island, but in fact it only circles half of the island, which is the half where "See You Tomorrow" was filmed. Because there are more tourists in this half of the island, asphalt roads have been built. You can take the sightseeing electric car, which costs 50 yuan per person, but it is not recommended to take it.

Because they only stay at each scenic spot for 2 minutes at most, and they have to leave after getting off the bus and taking two photos. It's very boring. It's often foggy here on Miaozihu Island, and the scenery always looks fairy-like. But even though there is fog and the sun doesn't come out, it's still very sunny! Be sure to take good sunscreen!

Miaozi Lake is the most commercialized of the three islands (but it is still very pristine compared to Xiamen Gulangyu), Dongfushan is the easternmost island where you can see the first ray of sunshine in my country, and Qingbang Island is the least developed island. Walking around Miaozihu Island (you can also take a sightseeing bus, 50/person), there are several attractions: original stone beach, Caibogong statue, red and white lighthouse, Houhuiwuqi shooting point, style street, Dongjishi Square, Housha Beach (peak season fee, 60/person). Due to time constraints, we only walked around a small circle of the island.

Miaozihu Island is one of the three larger islands in Dongji Town and the seat of the Dongji Town Government. It has relatively more residents and people, and most of the locals live here. It is better to go to Qingbang Island or Dongfushan Island, where there are places to play in the sea.

There are safes for storing items and places for washing and showering. There are no good sightseeing spots, so you don’t need to stay on this island for a long time.

There is obviously more commercial atmosphere here. As soon as you leave the pier, you can hear the loud speaker shouting: "Take the scenic bus to go around the island!" It is noisy and harsh. Miaozi Lake obviously feels worse than Dongfushan Island. The street is full of seafood. The cement road around the mountain is for the scenic bus to run. I heard that it costs 50 yuan per person, and it is estimated that it will take less than 1 hour to go around. However, who let Han Han shoot "No Tomorrow" here? We walked for less than 2 hours to complete the round trip, but to be honest, Miaozi Lake has more food, which is a place for foodies.

There is a sightseeing bus around Miaozi Lake Island. We were exhausted the day before and chose the sightseeing bus without hesitation. It was 50 yuan per person, but there were not many scenic spots. It felt like a beginning and an end, hahaha. Maybe it was because there were more people, I felt that Miaozi Lake was not as beautiful as Dongfu Mountain.

The Ring Island Road is much shorter than Dongfushan Road, and it is all road. You can also take a sightseeing bus and get off at any scenic spot. It costs 50 yuan per person.

Compared to Dongfushan Island, Miaozi Lake is not as pristine, with more traces of human activities and a greater physical distance from the sea, so you cannot feel the sea from a closer distance, but it is more beautiful and gentle.

Coming out of the back beach, I walked to a dilapidated and abandoned stone house. The walls were covered with vines, some of which were so dilapidated that they were a bit creepy.

The consumption level of this small fishing village exceeds that of first-tier cities, the scenery of second- and third-tier scenic spots, and the accommodation level of seventh- and eighth-tier small counties. The overall appearance of the fishing village can be described in two words - dilapidated and dirty. It cannot be said to be too commercialized, because the level of commercial development and construction has not increased, but the prices have increased.

Let me start with the good reviews:

Island tours are great for seeing the sea, feeling the sea breeze, and experiencing a different environment. There's really nothing else to do.

Let me talk about the bad impressions, there are quite a lot:

1. The most common single room costs more than 300 yuan, and a room with a little bit of special features costs 600 yuan, which is comparable to the price of some five-star hotels, and the room environment is completely different.

2. My girlfriend and I ate a sesame grouper + a portion of star anise snails + a portion of clams + two large oysters + four small oysters + two sea urchins, and it cost 280 yuan to eat until we were 60% full. The seafood in the East China Sea cannot be compared with the seafood in the Yellow Sea in Liaoning. The price is also twice as expensive. Even the seafood in Zhuhai is cheaper and better than here.

3. It will take at least three or four hours to walk around the island. The ticket for the island tour is 50 per person, which is a rip-off.

4. Dried fish and fish slices were sold everywhere, 65 yuan per pound. I was ready to bargain and buy some, but I said 65 yuan was too expensive. The woman said, "This is expensive." I visited several stalls and found that they were sold in shopping malls on land. They were not produced locally. They were transported from land and then sold to tourists pretending to be dried locally. My impression of the local culture was instantly very bad.

To sum up, this is an over-hyped tourist attraction, suitable for people living in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai who are relatively close to the area to spend a weekend or a three-day holiday. It is strongly not recommended for people from outside Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai to come here.

I went there in May 2018. Here's a reference for you. The scenery is nice and suitable for hiking around the island. If you're not in a hurry, I don't recommend taking the sightseeing bus. Our group of three arrived at the island at about 11 a.m. We first went to the God of Freedom and then went around the island in the general direction of the accommodation. We basically walked around the island until 17 p.m. The steps counted on WeChat was about 37,000 steps. The scenery was nice and the accommodation was not expensive, but the food was too expensive. The three of us ate more than 1,100 yuan for a meal in the evening, including 710 yuan for seafood, 270 yuan for barbecue, and more than 100 yuan for seafood noodles. The key is that the taste is average and not delicious. Especially the barbecue is not recommended, let alone sea urchin. We ate 2 sea urchins. It can be said that there was nothing in the sea urchin, which is equivalent to steaming an egg in a sea urchin shell. The roasted sea urchin is just a shell with nothing inside. We didn't eat it raw, so I don't know if there is something to eat raw. Breakfast is 5 yuan for a cup of soy milk and 5 yuan for a fried dough stick.

The main attractions of Miaozihu Island include Caibogong Temple, Dongji Fishermen's Painting Exhibition Hall, Caibogong Statue (Statue of the God of Freedom), East China Sea Guerrilla Martyrs Monument, Dongxiang Pavilion Tide Watching, Soldiers' Second Hometown, Sea Frontier Guard Gate, and East China Sea First Post.

The weather was clear and the air was fresh. Standing near the pier and looking at the buildings on the island, they were arranged in an orderly manner and combined with the fishing boats in the harbor, it was like a beautiful landscape painting.

Arriving at Miaozihu Island, the first thing to do is to find a place to stay. There are youth hostels with shared toilets for a few dozen yuan, as well as fishermen's homestays and hotels ranging from a few hundred to a few thousand yuan. Note that you can negotiate the price of hotels and homestays in the off-season, because there are not many people staying there, and the rooms are empty anyway. The specific bargaining depends on your skills and acting skills. Girls can use their expertise in bargaining for clothes! If you don't book a place in time during the peak season, you may end up with a sea view room costing more than a thousand yuan.

Miaozihu Island is not very big. There are sightseeing buses on the island, which cost 50 yuan per person. You can get on and off the bus freely to each scenic spot. If you are physically fit, you can walk around the island, provided that you wear a pair of comfortable hiking shoes.

I hurriedly called it "Yuzi Island". It has too much modern atmosphere. It takes about half a day to walk around the island. It costs 50 yuan to take a car around the island. It's better to have an intimate contact with nature.

The conditions for food and accommodation are better than those in Dongfu Mountain. There will be more people. If you are not in a hurry, it is recommended to hike around the mountain. No matter which route you take, you will have unexpected scenery.

You can take a tram for 50 yuan per person which takes you 20 minutes to fly the entire route and visit each attraction. My boyfriend and I walked for 4 hours and I really admire ourselves. We also go up along the cement road to the statue of Cai Bogong (you can take a photo and pose) → the filming location of Han Han's "See You Later" (I suggest that you don't go there, it's just a small shabby house and you are not allowed to get close) → Dongji Pavilion to watch the sunrise → Later we went directly to Housha Beach. It is the main island of Dongji Town and a cultural and transportation center. It has relatively complete facilities and is also the filming location for Han Han's film "No Regrets".

This should be considered an important place on Dongji Island. When you come here, you must stay in the International Youth Hostel for one night.

It is another enchanting blue, the same waves, the same reefs, the same lapping sounds, and we are surrounded by the sea. I can only stand here quietly, looking at the sea, without thinking, just watching, listening, and feeling the tranquility and shock that the sea brings us.

This place is bigger than Dongfushan, and its infrastructure in all aspects is more complete than Dongfushan. Although the scenery is slightly inferior, it is still very beautiful. Standing on the two hills near Dongji Pavilion, enjoying the sea breeze, watching the sea, and being with the one you love, you will really be reluctant to leave, and let time stay at that moment forever!

It turns out that the sea in the east of China is so clean. It is really suitable for enjoying the breeze here.

A very comfortable island where you can relax and feel the sea

As the administrative center of Dongji Island, Miaozihu Island has well-developed tourism facilities. It is a relaxing place where you can go fishing or take a mountain tour to enjoy the sea view.

There was a lack of water when we got there... But the environment was good, except that there were no trash cans on the roadside when we were rounding the island, so many bottles and cans were thrown on the roadside.

As the place where the first ray of sunshine rises in the Pacific Ocean, the pure and beautiful sea view and the down-to-earth life of the indigenous people are both here. If Phuket, Maldives and Bali are like the "Xintiandi" in Shanghai, then Dongji Island is like the "Tianzifang".



Dongji Island was first discovered by sea fishing and photography enthusiasts, and Han Han's film made people familiar with it. Miaozihu Island is the administrative seat of the Dongji Islands, so the supporting facilities are relatively complete. Since we went with our children, we chose to stay in Miaozihu instead of Dongfushan Island. The conditions here are relatively better.



However, Dongji Island may have become too popular, and in July and August, students are on vacation and the weather is hot, so it is really hard to get a ticket, and the boats are very crowded. The traffic management here is basically still at the level of cities decades ago. Faced with so many people's love, it seems out of date and needs to be improved quickly. In addition to the primitive facilities and the low quality of Chinese people littering everywhere, the island sometimes really feels like being abroad, in Santorini.



Dongji is a place where you need to bring your heart, a heart that yearns for vastness and freedom, fearlessness and tenacity, primitiveness and unrestrainedness. As someone said, if you just like traveling, then it is suitable to go to Suzhou, Hangzhou, and Chengdu, where there are scenery, leisure, and relaxation; if you like natural scenery, then you can go to Fuchun River, Guilin Yangshuo, and Zhangjiajie, where there are picturesque scenery and you can take a few photos; if you like vacation and like beaches, then you are suitable to go to Sanya, Beihai, or Phuket, Maldives, Bali... But all of these are not suitable for Dongji, Dongji is only suitable for encountering the real self.

Miaozihu Island, the filming location of "See You Tomorrow", is also the center of Dongji Town. Instead of taking the 60-yuan sightseeing bus, I walked to the statue of Cai Bogong in the south, the Dongji Monument and the filming location of "See You Tomorrow". The coastline scenery is so beautiful.

Miaozihu Island is very suitable for leisure travel, and it is more suitable for those who like quietness. Listen to the waves, feel the sea breeze, and climb the mountains. It's nice~

Miaozihu Island is the main filming location for the movie "See You Tomorrow". It is also the most prosperous and relatively well-developed island among the four islands of Dongji. The overall style is different from that of Dongfushan Island. I personally think that the characteristics of Miaozihu Island are the long and winding roads and the view of Qingbang Island, Dongfushan Island and Huangxing Island from the top of the mountain. The most beautiful road is on Miaozihu Island. The road on this island has a very steep slope, but the whole journey is a road without gravel roads.

After experiencing island life, walking the path that no one else has walked before will make you feel the sea breeze quietly, and it is a place that often appears in your dreams!

In fact, Dongji Island is not an island, but consists of three islands: Miaozi Lake, Dongfu Mountain, and Qingbang! Here I will share with you the food, accommodation and transportation, because it is very convenient to eat and live on the island! You just need to ask the price clearly, the vegetables are more expensive! As for the water, it is the same as the general scenic spot!

I departed from Zhoushan. First, you need to buy a ticket to Dongji at the Shenjiamen Wharf in Zhoushan. You can queue up by yourself to buy tickets, or find an agent on Taobao! But you also need to queue up 3 to 5 days in advance, but you need to add a handling fee. If you queue up by yourself, you can buy a ticket for the next day from 2 to 4 pm every day. But you also need to queue up early. If you don’t buy it, you can only queue up the next morning to buy the ticket for the day. During the summer vacation, you need to queue up there at 5 am, or even earlier! The boat tickets are divided into upper, middle, lower and sleeper berths, which are 150/130/100/130 respectively! If you are seasick, it is recommended to get off or sleeper! It is best to see the scenery or take pictures, depending on personal circumstances! There are up to two boats a day. You can consult at the ticket office. The sailing takes 2 hours! If you want to go directly to Dongfu Island, you need to buy a ticket for Dongfu Island on the boat after boarding the boat, 30 per ticket! This can only be bought on the boat! It is not sold below! It takes half an hour from Miaozi Lake to Dongfu Island.

From Dongfu Island back to Miaozi Lake (also known as Dongji Island), you can only buy tickets on the day, no advance tickets. Tickets are sold at 6:30 am every day, 30 yuan per ticket. The ticket office is near the pier, or you can ask the locals and they will tell you! If you want to go directly back to Shenjiamen, you also need to go back to the ticket office at Miaozi Lake to buy tickets, and they only sell tickets on the day, not in advance! There may be some changes during peak hours, so you still have to ask more people at the ticket office! There may be some shortcomings, but I hope it can help everyone!
