Domestic travel is always crowded during holidays, so I decided to go there a day earlier and return the next day to avoid the peak. First of all, I would like to give myself a thumbs up, this decision is absolutely right.

I have been to many ancient towns, but they all had too much commercial atmosphere, so I didn’t have much hope for Nanxun. However, Nanxun exceeded my expectations, especially Baijianlou, which was really beautiful.

On the first day, there were few people in the town. I wandered around slowly and visited some attractions that required ticket inspection. Then I kept visiting Baijianlou. It was so beautiful to take pictures. It was a typical water town. It was really beautiful under the setting sun. Baijianlou didn’t have much commercial atmosphere. I really loved it. The ancient town had a lot of commercial atmosphere. The water was not as clean as Baijianlou. But since there were few people that day, I felt it was still good overall. To be honest, those attractions that require ticket inspection depend on personal preference. Those who like historical buildings should like them. Old buildings are the crystallization of historical wisdom. Unfortunately, I don’t have much research in this area.

The next day, May Day, it can be seen that Nanxun is working hard to develop tourism culture, and has organized many small programs, such as lion dance, face-changing, Yue Opera, water wedding, cheongsam show, etc. I was lucky enough to see the face-changing show. Although it was not a master-level performance, I was still very surprised to see such a magical show with my own eyes. It is the essence of the country! Then there were too many people, so I decisively went to visit Baijianlou again. I like Baijianlou very much. This is a group building with many residents. The water is still very clean. I still like it after visiting it several times. There are scenery everywhere. I hope that while Nanxun develops tourism, it will not make this area too commercialized, otherwise the environment will change, and the commercial atmosphere will be strong, and it will lose its own characteristics, and there will be no difference from other ancient towns. However, people are now more willing to choose places where the commercial atmosphere is not so strong when traveling.

I have been to Nanxun several times, but all of them were for business trips, and I haven't had time to experience the customs of Nanxun Ancient Town. This time, my family came during the Qingming Festival, and we went here together. Compared with Wuzhen and Xitang, the town is not very big, but the unique quietness is what I like most. There is no bar in the entire scenic area, and the tour guide will not hold a loudspeaker to explain and shout. The saying of four elephants, eight cows and seventy-two dogs made me see the wealth of the giant crocodiles in the south of the Yangtze River. The scenery of Baijianlou in the evening is also quiet and unique.

Nanxun Ancient Town is located in Nanxun District, Huzhou City. It was a famous silk town in Jiangnan during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is an ancient town in Jiangnan with abundant cultural resources and a combination of Chinese and Western architecture. It is one of the six ancient towns in Jiangnan, a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction, and a national characteristic landscape tourist town. The Nanxun Ancient Town Scenic Area covers an area of ​​34.27 square kilometers. The eastern boundary starts from the east side of the Yiyuan Ruins, the western boundary starts from Yong'an Street, the southern boundary starts from Jiayetang Library and Xiaolianzhuang, and the northern boundary starts from Baijianlou. The scenic area has 5 national key cultural relics protection units such as the Nanxun Zhang's Old House Building Complex, 11 municipal cultural relics protection units such as the Pang's Old House, Tongjin Bridge, Hongji Bridge, Yingyuan, 3 municipal cultural relics protection sites such as Xingfu Bridge, Tongli Bridge, Xinmin Bridge, and 21 historical buildings such as Shengji Rice Shop, Liu's Jingde Hall Site, and Zhou Qingyun's Old House.

Our trip can really be said to be a very good and wise trip. When we went out to play on the 11th day of the year, we chose the right place. Nanxun, a little-known ancient water town in the south of the Yangtze River, seems so low-key and so deserted. Perhaps most people, like me, will know about the famous places such as Wuzhen, Zhouzhuang, Tongli, Xitang, etc. when mentioning the ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River, but may know very little about Nanxun. As a northerner, I yearn for the soft and beautiful Jiangnan. I have been to Wuzhen and Zhouzhuang, but I prefer this Nanxun ancient town. There is no annoying excessive commercialization here, and there are no noisy tourists, but a tranquil and quiet atmosphere. The most indigenous people live here, so you can feel the most authentic and original atmosphere of ancient town life in the ancient water town of Jiangnan when you come here. This is why I like Nanxun more.

I've been to Wuzhen and Pingjiang Road in Suzhou. They feel pretty much the same. This time I came to Huzhou on a business trip and stayed at the 7 Days Inn next to the ancient town. I went in to take a look. You don't need to buy tickets in the morning and after 5 pm. It's just that some attractions are closed. The old houses and old streets, maybe because I've been out for a long time and have seen too much, I don't feel that there are any highlights. There are also specialties, snacks, wine... and there is a bookstore cat's castle in the sky, but it seems that taking pictures is not allowed.

Entering the main street, there are ancient houses and shops on both sides of the river. At this time, the sky gradually darkened, and there were basically no groups of tourists, and no cruise ships in the river. Individual tourists walked quietly along the street in groups of three or two, strolling slowly, and wandering around Zhang Shiming's old residence. The imitation Western-style architecture was impressive. Back on the street, it was completely dark, and all the lights in the ancient town were turned on. Choose a restaurant by the water, order a few local specialties, listen to the sound of the river flowing quietly, and have dinner. Personal suggestion: You can taste local food and special dishes in the ancient town, but there is really no need to stay in the ancient town. After leaving the ancient town, there are many hotels and restaurants, and there are many choices.

The two babies were very happy drinking a glass of drink. There are many fresh juice shops in the ancient town. The price is 20 yuan per glass, and the juice is not diluted with water.

There is a place to listen to Pingtan in the town, but unfortunately we didn't catch the performance time.

The temperature difference between morning and evening is quite large. If it is cloudy, even if the weather forecast shows that the temperature reaches 22 degrees, it will actually not feel as warm as a sunny day of 19 degrees.

There were fishermen on the creek driving water birds to catch fish. This was the first time for the children to observe water birds up close. It was also a fun fishing activity and they were very excited.

There are many mansions of wealthy merchants in the ancient town, and you can enter and visit them with the ticket to the ancient town.

I ate the famous Shuangjiao noodles, duck blood vermicelli soup, and shredded radish pancakes. The shop is run by an elderly couple, the prices are cheap and the taste is very good.

We came here for an autumn tour. It was terrible that there were so many people on a weekday. We were not the only tour group. We had to queue up for ticket checking. We watched a lively dance performance first and walked along the river bank. Fortunately, the roads away from the scenic spots were relatively quiet. The autumn weather was clear and the sun was warm. It shone softly and beautifully on the European red brick walls and gray tile walls. From the architectural styles, layout and interior decoration of various former residences, we can see how prosperous Nanxun Ancient Town was at that time, and the rich fusion of Chinese and Western cultures. The tour route is very simple. We saw everything in one morning. There is a commercial area for shopping and eating. The big pig's trotters and peach wine are both good.

The streets of Nanxun Ancient Town give people a long-lost ancient flavor! It's like returning to the summer of my childhood when my mother held my hand and walked past the stalls selling supper on the roadside. People who were hungry at night would fill their stomachs here and sit here to eat and feel the breeze. At this moment, I seemed to have returned to my childhood. The scenery of this roadside stall seemed to have traveled through time and space. Maybe it was because I was too nostalgic. Every bit of the journey would remind me of many stories. It might have some scattered memory fragments, which was enough to satisfy me and linger on the beauty of time! !

Nanxun Ancient Town has been an important economic and cultural town in Huzhou since ancient times. It has been famous for its high-quality raw silk since the Song Dynasty. It became a typical Jiangnan silk town in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and the Jili silk produced there became the designated raw material for royal weaving. In modern times, with the opening of Shanghai as an opportunity, Nanxun was influenced by European and American culture at an early stage, and silk merchants rose rapidly, and a group of important historical figures such as Liu Yong, Gu Qianlin, Pang Yuanji, and Zhang Jingjiang emerged. Nanxun Ancient Town has national key cultural relics protection units such as Jiayetang Library, Xiaolianzhuang, Nanxun Zhang's Old House Building Complex, and Zundetang. The traditional folk houses in the ancient town are elegant and unique, and the mansions and gardens boldly and cleverly penetrate and integrate Western architectural styles into the traditional Chinese architectural forms, forming a unique combination of Chinese and Western architectural art in the Jiangnan mansions.

Nanxun Ancient Town is divided into the southern area where Xiaolianzhuang and Jiayetang Library are located, the central area where Zhang Shiming's old residence, Liu's ladder, South East Street and South West Street are located, and the northern area where East Street, Zhang Jingjiang's former residence and Baijianlou are located. You can choose to stay in these three areas.

Tickets to Nanxun Ancient Town are always free, but there are charges for the five attractions in the ancient town, including Xiaolianzhuang & Jiayetang Library, Zhang Shiming's Old House, Liu's Ladder, Zhang Jingjiang's Former Residence, and Yiyuan. You can buy a combined ticket, which costs 85 yuan if you buy it on the official account or travel platform on the day, and 75 yuan if you buy it one day in advance.

Nanxun has fewer tourists than Wuzhen, so the experience is good. After all, too many people will affect the experience. Nanxun is more like a Jiangnan water town. There are many luxury houses in the scenic spots, and the town has a water town atmosphere. It is suitable for walking slowly and enjoying the breeze. The night view of Nanxun is worth seeing. It is grand and combines Nanxun's own characteristics to add many attractions. Moreover, you can enter Nanxun for free after 5:30 pm, which means that the night view is free.

The entire scenic area of ​​Nanxun Ancient Town can be divided into three major areas.

South: Xiaolianzhuang, Jiaye Library, Wenyuan, and Republic of China Style Bay.

Central part: Nandong Street and Nanxi Street are rich in scenic spots, including Zhang Shiming's former residence, Qiushuli, Liu's ladder, Jilihu Silk Museum (the former site of Nanxun Chamber of Commerce), Guanghui Palace, Guanghui Bridge, Nanxun Silk Industry Guild Hall, etc.

North: Zhang Jingjiang's former residence and Baijianlou.

This is a tour route recommended by the government. Xiangmen Street → Xiaolianzhuang → Jiaye Library → Zhang's Former Residence → Qiushuli → Liu's Tihao → Guanghui Palace → Hu Bi Ren Jia → History Museum → Baichuanfang → Zhang Jingjiang's Former Residence → Baijianlou.

The four elephant heads under the screen wall are a metaphor for the "Four Elephants of Nanxun". The "Four Elephants of Nanxun" refer to the four wealthy businessmen of Nanxun, Liu Yong, Zhang Songxian, Pang Yunzhen and Gu Fuchang. In the 1930s, there was a folk song in Nanxun that said: "Liu's money, Zhang's talents, Pang's face, Gu's house".

Since the reign of Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty (1127-1162), villages have appeared on the south bank of Xunxi River, and the river was named Xunxi. Documents from 1225 to 1264 recorded that merchants gathered in the south of Xunxi River, and houses were lined up. The first of the two names, Nanlin and Xunxi, was named Nanxun, which has a history of 750 years. In 1851, Nanxun's "Jili Husi" won the gold and silver awards at the first World Expo in London. The wealthy merchants who were born, commonly known as "four elephants, eight cows and seventy-two golden dogs", collected the essence of Chinese and Western cultures, and built a number of mansions and private gardens that were "grand, foreign, wealthy, and literary", leaving behind many Chinese and Western cultural wonders that are breathtaking.

Ticket gate of Nanxun Ancient Town: 100 yuan/person, including nine scenic spots (Xiaolianzhuang, Jiayetang Library, Zhang Shiming's Old House, Liu's Ladder, Zhang Jingjiang's Former Residence, Baijianlou, Jilihu Silk, Guanghui Palace, Silk Industry Guild Hall). If you want to save money, you can enter the scenic area for free after 18:00 in the evening and before 8:00 in the morning, but you can't enter the nine scenic spots. Nanxun Ancient Town is divided into two scenic spots, north and south, at the "convenience road", and tickets must be checked before entering the scenic area.

The southern scenic area includes Xiaolianzhuang, Jiayetang Library, Zhang Shiming's Former Residence, Liu's Ladder, Jilihu Silk, Guanghui Palace, and Silk Industry Guild Hall.

The northern scenic area mainly includes Zhang Jingjiang's former residence, Baijianlou, Tongjin Bridge and Hongji Bridge, two of the "three ancient stone bridges" on the Ditang old road, and East Street.

Nanxun Ancient Town has a nice name, but the whole town gives me a feeling of being a bit bland. Apart from the hundreds of buildings built along the river which are worth a closer look, I am not interested in the luxurious residences of the wealthy businessmen. However, the nights here are very quiet, which is very suitable for a quiet stroll.

Nanxun Ancient Town is like an ink painting, hazy, freehand, and full of spiritual poetry. Nanxun, this beautiful water town, has red houses that tell us about the years, and small bridges, flowing water, and people's homes that give us spiritual sustenance!

The Jiangnan water town combines Chinese and Western cultures, has simple folk customs, low consumption, and is not commercialized. I recommend it!

It's a nice water town, but it's a bit far from Hangzhou and takes more than 3 hours by car.

I heard from the aunt of Baijianlou that this place will be renovated soon, and it seems to be the kind of renovation that drives out the original residents. It was cloudy when I went there, and I didn't stay to take pictures of the night view because I was afraid of rain at night. It was a small regret. Looking at the scaffolding that had been built in Baijianlou, I felt even more regretful. The three uncles at the north entrance and exit of the toll area had a very bad attitude, which made me angry. If the tour guide certificate doesn't allow you to enter, then don't let you enter. What's so awesome? Absolutely bad review. If I come to visit secretly today, I really have to describe it well. But the scenery is very good. There are many people in the toll area. The Baijianlou area is good. The best photography point is in a great location and you can explore it slowly. Nanxun may be hard to find again. Please don't turn it into a stereotyped water town. . . . In addition, the combination of Chinese and Western buildings is worth seeing. The fusion of water towns and Western buildings is still different from the Chinese Baroque in Harbin. It's worth a visit, just don't look at the scenic area service. The ticket is a bit expensive, not worth the money. The rest of the words have to be saved for writing travel notes.

The night view is so beautiful. After dinner, you can stroll around and sit anywhere to enjoy the leisure time.

During the National Day holiday, famous scenic spots are often crowded with tourists. Although Nanxun Ancient Town is not immune, it is still much less crowded than I expected. I live in the town. There are fewer tourists after 4 pm and in the early morning. At this time, strolling on the street, walking slowly on the stone road along the water, you can appreciate the charm of the Jiangnan water town. Quietly, you can experience how modern urban people with complicated hearts can awaken the indifference of the former water town people, even if it is only for this moment. In addition, the light is soft and easy to take pictures. Since you are visiting the Jiangnan water town, it is recommended to stay and avoid the hustle and bustle of the day for better results.

Another tip: although the ticket says "valid on the same day", you can still enter the attractions you haven't visited the next day by swiping your ticket (each time they told me to go in first). I definitely give a thumbs up to the scenic spot for this.

There really aren't many people. Compared to Zhujiajiao, which often limits the flow of people, Nanxun Town is a very quiet ancient town. Of course, it may also be because it was summer when I went there, and there were only a few tourists in Baijianlou. It's worth it even if it's hot.

Strolling in the ancient town, picking up a piece of clothing with a sense of age, it is as if you have traveled back to ancient times, wearing a fluttering red dress, with hair dancing in the wind, eyes as tender as water, and poetic and picturesque. The dark black eyes reveal the unique liveliness of a girl, wearing ancient costumes and telling a story of the ancient town in the bleak autumn wind.

The wind is calm, the water is as still as a mirror, and the night in Nanxun is so quiet. There is not a ripple on the water, reflecting the history of this ancient town. I have been to too many ancient towns and famous rivers, and witnessed the hustle and bustle of other ancient towns, but I only like the tranquility and quietness of the small village here, just like this small river, flowing silently into my heart.

The night view of Baijianlou in the ancient town is quieter than that in the town center. When night falls and the lights come on, it seems like being in a paradise. The people of Nanxun who have guarded here for generations live here. I can’t imagine what it would be like to live here. Maybe like me, they will love this town more deeply. The night view of Nanxun is so beautiful that it makes people intoxicated.

Nanxun Ancient Town is still the peaceful and simple Jiangnan water town. Walking through the alleys and across the ancient bridges, you can see the surrounding scenery. The black tiles, white walls and green willows on the river bank blend with the reflections in the river, forming a warm color under the sun. The huge mansions on the river bank that combine Chinese and Western styles, as well as the ancient pines and cypresses that are taller than the walls, still silently tell of her vicissitudes of a thousand years. Nanxun is no longer hard to find in Zhejiang.

This shore and the other shore are only separated by a curtain of misty rain. Thoughts are not old, feelings are not deserted, dense as weaving. After the rain, the weather is clear, wandering in the poetic bluestone alleys, I always feel that there is a window opened for me, and a scenery is reserved for me. Perhaps, it is the love of Nanxun Water Village, or my love. These old eaves and courtyards always give people an inexplicable attachment and love.

It's really comfortable here, and there are few people. I highly recommend a restaurant, at No. 87, Baijianlou Hedong. It has no name, just two old couples, few staff, two tables at the door, and the fourth picture is the storefront. If you want to eat here, you can pay attention! The food is very tasty, the ingredients are fresh, and the ingredients are natural. Cantonese people love it! You must eat it when you come! The fifth picture is the couple, hahaha!

The scenery is nice. It was the Dragon Boat Festival when we went there. It was cloudy and people were concentrated in a few scenic spots. Some places were less crowded and it was nice to walk around slowly.

When we talk about the Jiangnan water towns, most people think of the four famous ancient towns of Wuzhen, Tongli, Zhouzhuang and Xitang. The development of commercialization has gradually made these ancient towns lose the atmosphere of water town life that they should have in the past. If you want to find a quiet and peaceful ancient town, it may not be an easy thing. Fortunately, there are still such ancient towns in China. It does not have too many tourists here, and there is no over-development. It still maintains the original style of the water town. There are many local residents living in the water town here. Entering this town is like turning back time and coming to the Jiangnan water town during the Qingming period. People can really find the water town life when they were young here, and let people really experience what the real Jiangnan water town is. It can be called an ancient town living in real life. This ancient town is Nanxun Ancient Town hidden in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai regions.

There are many indigenous people living in Nanxun, so you can definitely experience the most typical life in the ancient water towns in the south of the Yangtze River. This is the most profound impression that Shanye has of Nanxun. Maybe this is one of the most fundamental reasons for falling in love with Nanxun?



Because I like it, I have come to this ancient town countless times, and every time I have different emotions and thoughts. I feel that the atmosphere and pattern of life in Nanxun are particularly suitable for me. Suddenly I feel that my previous life was in Nanxun. Maybe I am one of the owners here for hundreds of years?



Nanxun's introverted historical and cultural heritage and the storage capacity of the southeastern wealth are not something that ordinary people like us can see. During the tour of the entire Nanxun Ancient Town, you can feel the rich atmosphere here, and you can also feel the model of how the rich people behave and do business. These elements are more or less revealed in all the ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River, but they may be more obvious in Nanxun.



From the prosperity to the decline of the Republic of China, from the start of national industry to the development of Chinese industry, Nanxun has been a good witness.



From Eastern civilization to Western fashion, from a place with small bridges and flowing water to an international trade port, Nanxun is a worker with rich experience.



From the history of Hu Bi research and development to the development of the Four Treasures of the Study, from the "Zhuang Family History Case" in which the Qing Dynasty raged bloody battles in Jiangnan to its redress in New China, Nanxun is also one of the most reliable historians.



Nanxun Ancient Town may not be very big. It is basically a small town with a breath of life developed around the Nanxun liaison section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. Walking around the whole town, you can feel the simple folk customs and feel in an instant that this is an ancient water town in the south of the Yangtze River with a breath of life.



From Jiangnan gardens to luxurious private residences, from trade and commerce to culture and art, from ancient prosperity to modern prosperity, and from the past to the present, the entire Nanxun Ancient Town is mixed with many different charms, which need to be experienced at a slow pace and can only be realized by experiencing them with heart.

I have been to several ancient towns in China and they all feel similar. I went to Nanxun on October 8th, just after the short holiday. The crowds of people had gone away and I saw the quiet and leisurely ancient town. It felt very good. It is not as commercialized as Wuzhen, and it is relatively well preserved. You must avoid the peak hours to visit, otherwise you really can't experience the leisure and charm of the ancient town~



From the map, I learned that this place is very close to Taihu Lake. Since it is the season for eating hairy crabs, I immediately asked how to get to Taihu Lake. I took a bus to the lake and bought a box of hairy crabs to take home.

No tickets are required at night, of course you can only walk around the streets of the ancient town, all the attractions are closed. There are a lot of people, and the place where locals take a walk after dinner is very beautiful with the lights on.

Dai Biaoyuan, a scholar in the early Yuan Dynasty, once said: "After traveling through the beautiful places in the south of the Yangtze River, one should only live in Huzhou"; he also said: "Ask Nanxun for wine, the red bridge is deep with willow trees. The harbor is full of cold fish boats, and the orange market is full of books." Take a bus in Huzhou and drive east for about 40 kilometers. When you see the old road that was dug in the Jin Dynasty and has been used until now and passes through the town, you will see Nanxun. It is a very familiar picture of the south of the Yangtze River.

The Jiangnan water town retains its original style and original flavor. There are not so many shops, which is quite suitable for relaxing.

Ancient town tickets: double ticket 145 yuan, single ticket 80 yuan (purchase online 1 day in advance), children under 1.2 meters are free, children 1.2-1.5 meters tall are 40 yuan (you can buy parent-child tickets or family tickets for a better deal).

You can slow down and enjoy the tranquility and beauty here without crowds. The temperature here is obviously several degrees lower than Nanjing. Even if it is hot during the day, it is because of the sun. There is no obvious heat on the soles of the feet or stuffiness. I have been walking without sweating. There are breezes blowing by, and it is all coolness, not heat waves. I fell in love with this place the moment the wind blew.

There are many bridges in the ancient town scenic area, so you can avoid taking a detour. It is recommended to look at the bridges to find your way to the attractions or find delicious food.

I went to Nanxun on a business trip. After dinner, I wanted to go to the ancient town. After 5pm, you don't need tickets. Some classics that require money cannot be entered, but many restaurants and small shops selling snacks and handicrafts are still open. The most important thing is that the ancient town at night has less traces of tourists and more dim lights, which is really a different flavor.

Most of the scenic spots in Nanxun, such as Xiaolianzhuang and Guanghui Palace, are in the scenic area. Baijianlou and Zhang Jingjiang's former residence are outside. Zhang Jingjiang's former residence is under renovation. The ticket to the scenic area is 50 yuan for students, and it is cheaper online. You must take the ticket well, and each scenic spot needs to verify the ticket. But in the early morning and after 4 or 5 o'clock in the afternoon, you can enter at will without a ticket, but the scenic spot is not open.

[Recommended Food] Xunti: A time-honored brand in Nanxun, it sells pork trotters, chicken feet and other marinated goods. I recommend pork trotters, which taste good and can be vacuum packed to take home as souvenirs. It was also the first time I saw a vacuum packed scene. I don't recommend chicken feet, because the nails are not trimmed and look a bit disgusting and scary.

Why do I say Nanxun is a place I long for? Because time really passes very slowly here. Everything here is like the life in my mind, where you can see the small bridges and flowing water when you open the window. In the evening, there will be smoke coming out of the chimney, and grandparents will chat in the pavilion. When the sun sets at 5 o'clock, I sit in the pavilion of the small bridge, playing Liu Haolin's Childhood in my headphones, staring at the scenery in the distance. It's like a movie in front of my eyes, and I think of the summer I spent in the compound when I was a child. At that moment, I forgot the time, and when I came to my senses, it was already 7 o'clock in the evening. Every place here is a scenery.

Appreciate the wonder of the ancient town. The lights at night make the ancient town mysterious and beautiful.

The Nanxun Ancient Town I went to today was pretty good, but the specialties I bought in Nanxun were not very good. The crispy cakes from Jinhua and the stinky tofu from Shaoxing have become Nanxun specialties.

I personally think that it is good to just visit the old streets and the old town in Nanxun Ancient Town. There is no need to visit the library and other attractions that cost money. It is quite strange here. I entered from the left and saw that there was no one at the ticket gate. After I walked around and walked to that place, a man suddenly jumped out to collect tickets, but I had already finished the tour, why did I have to buy a ticket? It seems that you can really enter without buying a ticket here. There are many local residents, and it is impossible for them to buy tickets to go home. Nanxun Ancient Town has fewer people than other ancient towns.

In fact, there are too many ancient towns like this in Jiangnan. I have been to Zhouzhuang and Xitang before. Compared with them, Nanxun is not overdeveloped and has relatively few people. Although it is not very famous, it will not disappoint you. Nanxun has many cultural landscapes and former residences of celebrities. If you have enough time, you can walk slowly and look carefully among the small bridges and flowing water, let go of your impatience, and return your heart to peace.

I bought a ticket for the day at the ticket office, which cost 100 yuan each. If you buy tickets online in advance, you can buy them for 80 yuan each. There are many attractions in the ancient town, and you can visit them for free with your ticket.

Among the several ancient towns, it is the one that retains the most original flavor, especially the Baijianlou in the north of the ancient town, where real residents live. The owners of the houses in the south of the ancient town that require tickets to visit were all business tycoons at the time. The combination of Chinese and Western architectural styles is unique among the ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River, and the degree of luxury can be ranked first among all the ancient towns. The ancient town can be entered at will before 8 am and after 4 pm without buying tickets. These two free periods are the golden hours for photography enthusiasts to take pictures, with warm and soft light and few tourists. Nanxun and Wuzhen can be said to have their own merits. Those who like quiet and humanistic can go to Nanxun, and those who like exquisite and clean can go to Wuzhen.

I just went there during the Qingming Festival, I recommend it. The Baijianlou Ink Painting Scenic Area, the ancient houses of the Liu and Zhang families that combine Chinese and Western styles will make you linger.
