Located on the Yundang Lake Peninsula east of Bailuzhou Park, a National Key Park in Xiamen, Yundang Academy is Xiamen's first modern academy. Covering approximately 38,000 square meters, the campus is shaded by lush trees and bamboo, and surrounded by water on three sides, creating a tranquil paradise.

The main building of the academy is located in the center of the park. It is constructed with modern materials, following the layout of classic Chinese academies and rich in southern Fujian architectural style. It is surrounded by three " school fields " , all of which are high-quality cultural and art museums, forming a traditional cultural gathering area with a strong academy atmosphere.
