The Botanical Garden of Dayangshan National Forest Park in Suzhou lies south of the foothills of Yangshan Mountain and north of Taihu Avenue, stretching from the eastern section of Yangshan Mountain in the east to the Xinyangshan Ring Road in the west. Covering approximately 86 hectares, it is Suzhou's largest and only professional botanical garden.
According to the Botanical Garden's plan, the northern section will be dedicated to scientific and ornamental plants and specialized gardens; the southern section will be dedicated to recreational and entertainment activities, emphasizing the plants' recreational, ornamental, and interactive nature; and the eastern section will be dedicated to the introduction and cultivation of a large number of rare plant species. In particular, the tropical plant greenhouse currently under construction will provide visitors with opportunities to experience rare tropical plants.
As you enter the scenic area, you will be welcomed by flowers lined up on both sides of the main road. Walking into this wonderful "Flower Avenue", you can enjoy a variety of landscapes, various fresh fruit-shaped sculptures, and the lifelike garden shapes created by "Edward Scissorhands", such as galloping horses, giraffes with stretched necks, elephants with long noses, cute penguins, upright camels, adorable sheep, and peacocks competing for beauty. Each green "living sculpture" is full of vitality.
