Introducing Sipo Bridge

Sipo Bridge is located on the fourth straight river in the ancient city, which runs from north to south, on the west side of Pingjiang Road. The bridge has abutments made of Wukang stone and long tie stones with Ganoderma lucidum carved on both ends, both of which are relics from the Song Dynasty, proving that Sipo Bridge has a history of at least nearly a thousand years.

The bridge is 11.2 meters long, 4.4 meters across, 3 meters wide, and 2.9 meters high. The deck is constructed of four 50- centimeter-wide granite beams arranged side by side. The railings are undecorated, approximately 40- centimeter-high strips of granite, providing a place for passengers to rest and enjoy the view. Ten stone steps run along each of the east and west slopes.
