The Nanjing Folk Museum of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, located at 48 Andemen Street, Yuhuatai District, Nanjing, is the first folk museum in Jiangsu Province dedicated to the Chinese people's struggle against Japanese aggression. Founded in 2006, the museum is the personal investment, construction, and management of Mr. Wu Xianbin, a Nanjing citizen, member of the China Democratic National Construction Association, and member of the Nanjing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. It serves as a patriotic education base for the China Democratic National Construction Association Central Committee, a patriotic education base for the China Democratic National Construction Association Jiangsu Province, a red education base for the Eastern Theater Command of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, a national defense education base for all in Jiangsu Province, a patriotic education base for Nanjing City, a CPC Nanjing Municipal Party History Education Base, and a patriotic education base for numerous universities.

At present, the museum has two exhibition halls, namely the "Nanjing Defense War" theme hall and the "Anti-Japanese War Documents" Historical Materials Hall. The museum has a total of more than 5,900 collections and more than 40,000 books, including more than 2,200 rare and precious books on the history of the Anti-Japanese War. It has collected more than 2,300 fingerprints of anti-Japanese war survivors. As of the end of 2018, the museum has received a total of 280,000 visitors, including more than 100 groups from overseas. It has also received important leaders of the Party and the country, as well as foreign visiting groups from the United States, Japan and other countries on many occasions.

On September 16, 2009, the Nanjing Civilian Anti-Japanese War Museum was named the "Nanjing Patriotic Education Base". On July 10, 2014, the Nanjing Civilian Anti-Japanese War Museum was named the "China Democratic National Construction Association Central Patriotic Education Base".
