Introducing Deng Yanda's Tomb

Deng Yanda's Tomb is located on the east side of the Linggu Temple Scenic Area, near Shensong in Linggu. The tomb was planned and built by the Chinese Peasants' and Workers' Democratic Party in 1957. At the entrance to the tomb is a circular flowerbed, with a bust of Deng Yanda standing in the center, awe-inspiring.

At the end of the corridor is a cement platform. Deng's tomb is built in the center of the platform. In front of the tomb stands a granite tombstone, 4.8 meters high and 1.2 meters wide. The front is engraved with seven large gold-plated characters " Tomb of Martyr Deng Yanda " , and the back is engraved with an inscription written by the Central Committee of the China Democratic League.

In 1931 , Deng Yanda was secretly murdered by Kuomintang reactionaries at Shazigang, outside Qilin Gate in Nanjing. In the spring of 1953 , Ji Fang, then Vice Governor of Jiangsu Province, proposed relocating Deng Yanda's burial site to the southern foot of Purple Mountain. The final decision was made to relocate Deng Yanda to the Second Cemetery of the National Revolutionary Army Martyrs, east of Linggu Temple.
