Introducing Beidongshan Han Tomb

The Beidongshan Han Tombs are located in Dongshan Village, Maocun Town, Tongshan District, ten kilometers north of Xuzhou City, on the north bank of the Grand Canal and west of the Jinpu Railway. Because the village is located north of Xuzhou, it is commonly known as Beidongshan. Three hills surround the village. The southeastern hill, called Huanshan, contains a stone chamber tomb that was robbed in the early years. Numerous inscriptions on the walls of the tomb passage suggest it was the tomb of Sima Huantui, a high official of the Song Dynasty. However, it is actually a Han Dynasty tomb.
