Introducing Liu Clan Ancestral Hall

The Liu Clan Ancestral Hall, located in the northern part of the Xuzhou Han Culture Scenic Area, is the most famous hall name of the Liu clan. Pengcheng is the ancestral home of the Liu surname and the birthplace of the Han Dynasty Liu clan. Therefore, many Liu clans named their ancestral halls " Pengcheng Hall " to identify themselves as the Pengcheng Liu clan and authentic descendants of the Han Dynasty.

The Liu Clan Ancestral Hall covers a total area of 1,050 square meters. Its design draws inspiration from the outer round and inner square style of the Mingtang and Biyong, the emperor's academy in the Han Dynasty. Its roof is an imitation of the Han Dynasty's double-eaved four-slope roof. Its style is coordinated with the landscape of the scenic area and echoes each other, fully demonstrating the style and charm of Han Dynasty architecture.

The temple is centered on the statue of Emperor Gaozu of Han, Liu Bang. On the left side are evenly arranged lacquer paintings of 12 emperors who made outstanding contributions to the history of the Han Dynasty during the 410 years . On the right side are portraits of celebrities who have achieved high attainments in science and technology, military affairs, literature and art from the Han Dynasty to modern times.
