The town is shaded by green trees and lush, and has the unique advantages of sweet water and fragrant earth. On May 4, 2016, in the 2015 National Ecological Township Evaluation organized by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Tanggou Town was awarded the honors of National Key Central Town, National Ecological Township, Jiangsu Province Key Town, Jiangsu Top 100 Famous Towns, and Lianyungang City Five-Star Township.
