Zhongyue Songshan, located in western Henan Province, was once known as Waifang Songgao in ancient times and later as Zhongyue Songshan after the Five Dynasties. Comprising Taishi Mountain and Shaoshi Mountain, its highest peak, Liantian Peak, stands at 1,512 meters. The mountain covers an area of ​​450 square kilometers and stretches over 60 kilometers from east to west. It borders the provincial capital of Zhengzhou to the east, the ancient capital of Luoyang to the west, the Yingshui River to the south, and the Yellow River to the north.

Zhongyue Songshan, the birthplace of Chinese civilization, is a nationally renowned scenic spot, designated a World Geopark and a World Cultural Heritage Site. It belongs to the Funiu Mountain Range, with its main range located in Dengfeng, stretching over 60 kilometers.
