Xiajiang Yushe Mountain is located in Xiajiang County, about 70 kilometers north of Ji'an City and 10 kilometers northwest of Xiajiang County. It stands on the east bank of Ganjiang River, facing the Xiajiang River, stretching for dozens of miles. It has beautiful scenery and pleasant climate. It is a pearl in central Jiangxi and belongs to Shuibian Town, Xiajiang County.
Yushe Mountain is known in Chinese Taoism as the "Seventeenth Great Show Fairyland" among the Thirty-Six Cave Heavens and the "Eighth Yumu Blessed Land" among the Seventy-Two Blessed Lands. Yushe Mountain was originally named Qunyu Mountain because the northern part of the mountain is covered with five-colored stones: green, yellow, red, white, and black.
During the Tang and Song dynasties, Taoism flourished due to the emperor's respect. Palaces, pavilions, terraces and terraces were scattered throughout the Yushe Mountain. At that time, there were two palaces, Chengtian and Daxiu; 21 temples, including Kaiming, Chongxu and Qianyuan; 24 altars, including Meixian, Magu, Bailu and Songxian; 11 pavilions, including Denghe and Baihua; and 12 platforms, including Duzhen and Mingqin.
Yusi Mountain boasts a subtropical humid monsoon climate. Covered in dense, ancient trees, it offers a perpetual spring-like atmosphere. Clear springs flow throughout the year, making it a perfect place for travel in all seasons.
Yutong Mountain is a rolling massif, dotted with numerous peaks, each competing for height and beauty. Among the famous peaks are the "Thirty-Two Strange Peaks," namely Dabai Peak, Yuanhuang Peak, Jiangzhen Peak, Sanhui Peak, Shuanglong Peak, Qinwang Peak, Guamao Peak, Fuxiang Peak, Furong Peak, Luanshi Peak, Yishi Peak, Shangfang Peak, Xiafang Peak, Zixu Peak, Shiqiao Peak, Guanyin Peak, and Taiyang Peak. Each peak lives up to its name, each peak lush and verdant, with a verdant, azure hue.
Yushe Mountain is known as one of the "Thirty-Six Caves." Among them, the Immortal Spring is the most famous. Its waters are unfathomable, the waters clear enough to reflect your hair, warm in winter and cool in summer, and its fragrance rivals that of the Huishan Spring in Wuxi. The thirty-six streams flow from different paths but converge at the western foot of Yushe Mountain, forming the "Yujian River." This stream flows out of the mountain and into the Gan River, its momentum unstoppable, like a white rainbow piercing through the water.
The strange rocks on Yushe Mountain are even more amazing. There are many strange rocks on the mountain. When you enter it, it feels like you have walked into a huge and boundless stone sculpture garden. The strange-shaped rocks, big or small, compete to imitate all things in nature, such as the Zixiao Stone that "rises thousands of feet from the ground", the Tai Stone that "digs the white acres", the Crane Stone that "raises its head and sings loudly", and the Turtle Stone that "stretches its head and crouches low".
