"Mengbi Shenghua" is also known as Bifeng. It is located in the northeast of Huangshan Mountain, in Sanhuawu to the right of Beihai Hotel, close to Bijia Peak. It is a scenic spot in Huangshan Mountain.
According to the "Kaiyuan Tianbao Yishi," Li Bai once dreamed of a giant brush standing tall amidst a forest of pine trees deep in the mountains, reaching into the sky, with a flower blossoming at its tip. Later, while touring famous mountains, Li Bai arrived at this spot and, amazed by the size of the brush tip, exclaimed, "So, the flower from my dream is here!" Another story goes that Li Bai encountered the elders of the Lion Grove Zen Monastery during a daytime excursion to Beihai. The two engaged in a lively conversation, and after a few drinks, Li Bai, expressing his gratitude, left a painting. Upon completion, he tossed the brush and floated away. The brush then transformed into a magnificent peak, and its tip into a tree, creating the scene of "the flower blossoming from the dream."
Bifeng Peak stands alone among the other peaks, its shape round at the bottom and pointed at the top, resembling a calligrapher's brush. Growing in a crevice at the peak's tip is a remarkable ancient pine tree, winding and twisting, casting a shroud of greenery like a blooming flower. At the foot of the peak lies a curious rock shaped like a sleeping figure, leading visitors to call this scene "Dreaming of a Brush Blooming," a truly remarkable sight in Huangshan.
