Blue Moon Valley, formerly known as the "White Water River," is named after the crescent-shaped valley on clear days, resembling a blue moon set at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The river's flow is blocked by the mountain, forming four large water bodies known as "Yuye" Lake, "Jingtan" Lake, "Blue Moon" Lake, and "Tingtao" Lake.
The eternal ice and snow from the snow-capped glaciers melt and flow down the cliffs, constantly gathering into mountain streams and creeks, and finally forming a crystal clear and sweet river in the deep valley upstream of the Blue Moon Valley. Because the riverbed is composed of white limestone, the entire river water has a white luster and appears extremely pure, so it is named "Baishui River".
