The Wenming Street Historic District encompasses approximately 21 hectares in Panlong District, Kunming, south of Huashan South Road, west of Zhengyi Road, north of Jingxing Street, and east of Wuyi Road. It encompasses six main streets: Wenming Street, Jingxing Street, Guanghua Street, Yongdao Street, Shifu East Street, and Wenmiao Street. It also encompasses 15 lanes: Dongjuandong Alley, Xijuandong Alley, Jixiang Alley, Dayingui Alley, Xiaoyingui Alley, Xingfu Alley, Tongcheng Alley, Zhidao Alley, Xiaozifang Alley, Qiuzong Alley, Guojia Alley, Shuguang Alley, Sizhi Alley, Zhengyi Alley, and Haitiange Alley. This historic district accounts for 3% of the old city's area.
