Introducing Cold Spring Pavilion

Lengquan Pavilion is located on the bank of Lengquan Creek in the Lingyin Scenic Area in Hangzhou. It is surrounded by red pillars and black tiles and shaded by green trees. It is one of the three pavilions in Lingyin and the most famous one in front of Lingyin Temple.

The inscription " Cold Spring " was written by Bai Juyi, and the character " Pavilion " was added by Su Shi. Unfortunately, it was destroyed by a mountain torrent. It was rebuilt during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. Once a place where Su Dongpo feasted, composed poetry, and even worked, it now serves as a resting place in the scenic area.
